#like I understand that they did this thing for a reason

I want to speak out against the whole push towards DEI. I feel that ever since you made the push to make identity the forefront of a character it has hurt the stories you tell. Captain Sisay's race was never the focus of her character and she was a complete badass! And I fear if you did it over again Gerrard would be trans, black and disabled just because. It also cheapens the stories of world devastation when characters worry more about their gender than Bolas destroying everything.
The reason I started this blog is so we can have frank conversations about things, so please letâs talk about this.
Imagine if every time you turned on the TV or watched a movie, no one looked like you. For some of us, thatâs never happened. We see ourselves constantly, so itâs hard to truly understand what not seeing yourself represented in media is like.
I do have a personal window to this experience. While I am white and male, thereâs an area where I am the minority - my religion. Jews are just under two and a half percent of the US population. I have had many experiences where Iâve been in situations where everything is geared towards a group I do not belong to, and zero consideration is given that not everyone at that event is part of the majority.
You just feel invisible and like an outsider. Itâs not a great feeling. And I just experience it a tiny portion of time, only things that are geared specifically towards something religious. Most minorities have this feeling all the time, whenever theyâre outside their personal community.
Now imagine, after years of not seeing yourself ever, you finally see someone that looks like you, but nothing about the character rings remotely true. They donât sound like you, they donât act like you, the facts about their day-to-day life are just wrong. Itâs clear whoever wrote the character didnât truly understand the lived experience of the character, so the character feels fake.
You bring up Sisay. Michael Ryan and I didnât technically create Sisay (she played a small role in the Mirage story), but we did do a lot to flesh out her character as the creators of the Weatherlight Saga. We turned her from a minor character into a major one.
And while Iâm proud, in general, of our work on the Weatherlight Saga, I donât think we did justice to Sisay as a character. Neither Michael nor I have any knowledge of what itâs like to be a black woman. Nor did we ever talk to someone who did.
And if youâre someone like us that has no knowledge of that experience, you probably didnât notice. But that doesnât mean itâs a good thing.
Imagine if we made a movie about your life, and we just made everything up. We invented people you never knew, we gave you a job you never had, and we had you say things youâd never say. The movie might even be a good movie, but your response would be, but thatâs not my life - thatâs not me.
Now imagine we put the movie out, and people that never met you assumed that was what you were like. When people met you for the first time, they assumed things, because, you know, theyâd seen the movie.
Thatâs what misrepresenting people does. It not only makes them feel not seen, it falsely represents them, spreading lies, often stereotypes, making people believe things about them that arenât true.
Our move towards diversity is just us trying to better reflect the world and the people in it. Weâre trying to do to everyone else what a certain portion of people get every day without ever having to think about it.
But why are we âmaking it the forefront of their characterâ? Weâre not. Weâre making it a part of their character. But in a world where youâre not used to ever seeing it, it feels louder than it is. Things that are a natural part of the world that youâre used to feel like the background of the story because you understand the context to it.
If a man kisses his wife before going off to a battle, thatâs not a big deal. Itâs just a thing a husband might do to his wife when he leaves. Itâs not the forefront of his character. Itâs just part of his life. But youâve seen it hundreds of times, so it feels normal.
When someone does something that isnât your lived experience it pulls focus. It seems like a big deal, but only because itâs new to you. Itâs just as mundane a thing to that character as the man kissing his wife is to him.
Even the turn âpushingâ implies that itâs unnaturally here, that weâre forcing something that naturally shouldnât be. But why? That thing exists naturally in the real world, and it doesnât make the real world any less. Maybe youâre less aware of it, but is making you aware of how others live their life âpushingâ something on you?
How you live your life is represented constantly, everywhere. Why isnât over-representing your experience at the expense of everyone elseâs âpushingâ it? Why is media only being the experience of those in power the âproper wayâ?
Having more depth and variety doesnât lessen stories. It makes them deeper, more rich, more nuanced. In short, it makes them better stories. In my former life, I was a professional writer. I took a lot of writing classes. One of the truism of writing is âspeaking truth leads to better storiesâ.
Thereâs another famous quote: âWhen youâre accustomed to privilege, equality feels like oppression.â Youâre used to being over-represented, so being a little less over-represented feels like something has been taken from you. But really it hasnât. Having a better sense of the rest of the world comes with a lot of benefits.
Iâll use food as an example. Letâs say all you were ever exposed to was the food of your heritage. Yeah, that food is really good, but sometimes isnât it nice to eat foods of other nationalities? Isnât your life better that you have a choice? Isnât your exposure and access to the food of other nationalities a positive in your life?
Exposure to variety is a positive. It allows you to learn about things you didnât know, experience things things youâve never experienced, and get a better sense of understanding of your friends and neighbors.
Our actions are not to harm anyone, and if you think thatâs what weâre doing, please take a minute to actually absorb what Iâm saying. Youâve spent your whole life metaphorically eating one type of food, and weâre just trying to show you how much youâve missed out on.
And while this might not impact you directly, weâre making a whole bunch of people felt seen. Weâre bringing joy. Think of it this way. We make a lot of cards. Not every card is for you. But if it makes someone else happy, if they get to include it in a deck, and it makes Magic better for them, how is it harming you that we include it? You have so many cards that you can play.
To this poster or people that share their viewpoint, the narrative that a gain for someone else is an attack on you is just not true. As I just pointed out above, you play a game all about personal choice, about players getting to choose how they play and enjoy the game. Why should life be any different than Magic?
Thanks for reading.

i mean the other thing about socio cultural frameworks by which we understand sexual violation etc is you have to take into account that most rape/assault/harassment doesn't even get widely interpreted through the lens of "this is a unique trauma and you are tainted forever" it gets interpreted through a lens more like "this probably didn't even happen and i don't know what you're talking about and if it did happen it was no big deal. also you are tainted forever (in a way where i refuse to even name the reason why)"

You sat on the couch fifteen minutes ago. You closed your eyes five minutes ago. It amazed you that you hadn't fallen asleep with how tired you were from your long day, but Bucky would be home shortly and you wanted to curl up with him before you dozed off. Heâd find it sweet, and so would you.
You should've known heâd have other ideas.
âHey, Bucky,â you mumbled when you heard his deliberate footsteps. When he didn't answer you cracked an eye open. âBucky?â you asked, watching him toss his jacket away and flex his hands. He had a familiar look in his blue eyes. Not quite feral, but close.
Oh, he was hungry.
He pushed the coffee table out of the way with his foot and bent down to kiss your lips. Soft, but desperate, so it didn't surprise you when he dropped to his knees in front of you. âHoney, open your legs,â he demanded in a dark, deep voice once he pushed your dress up. One that made you grip the cushions when he rested his hands on your knees. âPlease.â
âWell, hello to you, too.â You rolled your eyes, but your smile was affectionate. What had him so wound up? âAt least you said please.â
âI did, now please open your legs,â he demanded again, but it wasn't as forceful. You heard a hint of desperation, the same kind you tasted on his lips when he kissed you. âIâm already on my knees.â
âYou are,â you agreed and you loved how badly he wanted you. âBut why should I open my legs for you? Iâm pretty tired.â
His mouth fell open. You never passed up an opportunity for him to pleasure you, and youâd let him eat as much as his heart desired. But you wanted to hear him beg a little for it for no reason at all.
âBecause I'm horny and hungry and your pussy is the only thing thatâll satisfy me,â he answered, looking at where your legs were still together. âCâmon. Pussyâs so good. I need it. I crave it. Soft as silk, sweet like honey.â
You moaned. They were good reasons. âTempting, tempting, but you just ate my pussy yesterday,â you reminded him, which earned you an offended look from the love of your life.
âYesterday. An entire day ago. Your pussy needs me,â he snarled, his fingers sliding to your thighs and digging in. âOr should I say my pussy?â
âEasy, tiger. We both know itâs yours,â you teased, burying a hand in his hair and making him groan when you tugged on the strands. His words could turn you into molten lava, and you were wet the second he dropped to his knees. âBut opening my legs doesn't address the fact that I'm tired. You understand that.â
He smirked when your legs opened an inch. âIâm sorry you're tired, but making you feel good is the perfect way to get you to sleep. Iâll get you off on my tongue and fingers⌠Make you pass out when I get my cock in you.â He sounded wrecked as your thighs parted more, your core . âAnd Iâll carry you to bed and wrap you in a warm blanket.â
âAnd youâll cuddle with me, too? If youâre demanding that I open up, I demand some cuddles,â you said. Heâd cuddle with you even if you didn't demand it.
âCuddle, snuggle, curl up with you, spoon you, can even keep me cock warm while I hold you,â he rattled off, smirking when you bit your lip. âJust let me eat, please.â
You hummed. It was tempting. And how many people could say a super soldier begged for just a taste of them? To fuck them? âJust how hungry are you and for what reason?â
Bucky licked his lips when you completely opened your legs and showed him your clothed cunt. âFucking hungry and for no reason at all except your existence,â he growled.
You made a small noise when he dove in and inhaled, your face nearly burning from how hot it felt when he licked and tugged impatiently at the wet fabric with his teeth. âBucky!â
âTold you. âm fucking hungry.â He licked the fabric again with a growl and nudged your clit with his nose. âGod, youâre so wet for me. Need it on my tongue. Need it on my cock.â
âFuckâŚâ you whimpered. He wanted your pussy so badly he couldn't even wait for a proper taste. âOkay, you can eat.â He had begged enough in your eyes.
âFucking finally.â
You scoffed. âFinally? You just-â
He ripped your underwear off and left you bare, drawing another breathless sound from you at the first touch of his mouth on your damp folds. He brought his hands to your hips and pulled you closer so he could open you up with his tongue, his broad shoulders keeping your legs apart. You nearly lost it when he plunged it deep inside and licked around your walls, his throaty moan making you shudder. Every lick and caress made you feel like youâd melt into the couch. The sensations were overwhelming, especially since your senses went from dull to heightened.
âBeautiful,â he rumbled.
âWe both are,â you smiled. He made you feel beautiful, and he sure as fuck looked beautiful between your thighs.
âAnd Iâm soâŚâ His thumb on your clit had you pulling his hair. âFuckingâŚâ You tightened around the finger that slipped inside your tight channel. âHungry.â
There was no getting between Bucky and his meal. No stopping him once he had a taste, his fingers and mouth tender even as he devoured you. It almost didn't seem fair some days. All you had to do was flash your tits or spread your legs and the ex-assassin was lost to the world. Even after a long day you got to lay back while he pleasured you simply because he wanted you. You reaped all the benefits, came every time.
Youâd make sure he came, too, before the night was over.
âYou⌠really are hungry,â you moaned, your back arching when another finger. Bucky wasn't just an enthusiastic lover. He was attentive. He knew what made you tick and how to make you let go. âFuck! There! Please!â
âMusic to my ears, and you really do taste like fucking honey.â He gazed up at you with a smirk on his wet lips as his fingers curled. You tasted yourself on his lips before and it tasted nothing like honey, but who were you to argue when he enjoyed it so much? âMelt for me and Iâll carry you to bed on my cock.â
It didn't take you long to reach your peak of pleasure once his mouth was back on you, your thighs shaking and his name leaving your lips in a cry. He hummed and groaned as he tasted your release like it was the most delicious treat he ever had. You were aware that he called you a good girl as your vision blurred, and he also said he loved you as you rode out your orgasm. He may have even apologized for the âlack of foreplayâ.
But as he carried you to bed with a kiss to your forehead and his cock buried inside you as promised, you knew heâd more than make that up to you.
The man needs you, okay? Love and thanks for reading! â¤ď¸

Don't force a shift.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/bc3eb327af31848a8d72c8063b6ac2d2/7337ea4ff4ff5e3e-91/s540x810/f79d2fc0bbb8b5c2ddb4ae958504c9f711050164.jpg)
Why is everyone trying to force a shift?? Like literally everywhere I see it's 'I'll shift tonight' or 'I'll lock in and shift' or 'I didn't shift yesterday but I will tonight' like? You know you can rest yeah? You don't have to 'go' so bad. The moment you think of shifting to your drs is the moment you've shifted. Do you even know how shifting works? I mean can we just relax? What's such a hurry to change the physical plane? Yes I know you miss your s/o, your friends and your family there but continuously hoping but not understanding how things work is not going to get you anywhere.
Get out of your own way. You don't need anything to shift. Shifting is your nature. You're shifting every moment because you're changing your awareness every moment. I can say from experience that moment you want something your subconscious knows. Do you know that your mind knows what you want? Do you know that you don't have to 'try' to do anything? Do you know that you just have to know now you have it? Do you know? Do you?
I'm seriously so sick of people saying they're gonna shift doing this or doing that. I understand if methods help you. I'm not trying to shame you for that. But the problem is when you wake up in your cr again your sweetass thinks that you didn't shift. LIKE WHAT.
You shifted the moment you thought of shifting. Say it with me SHIFTING IS CHANGING AWARENESS ONLY. The moment you claim that you've shifted, YOU'VE SHIFTED!!!!
Stop with the 'my surroundings didn't change', 'I didn't feel any symptoms' or 'I didn't try to shift'. Do you try to shift when you change your awareness from looking at your hands to looking at your feet? Did you try anything here? You didn't right? Do you try to shift when you change your awareness from one thought to another? Did you try anything here? Did you?
When you know that awareness is the only thing that matters, then why the fuck are you looking in the physical plane? Your reality is YOU. You haven't 'physically shifted' yet because you didn't shift internally!! There is no secret to shifting. Just know that you're in your dr (because you are!). That's it. That's literally it. You don't have to pretend anything. Just know the truth.
There is no need to do any method while going to sleep. There is no need to connect to your dr. You're already in your dr you can't connect more than that. In your mind exists literally every reality ever. You're already connected to every reality. There is no need to force yourself to feel any emotion regarding shifting. There is no need to affirm throughout the day. There is no need to gaslight yourself into thinking you're already there when your awareness is here.
You have you let your physical plane be. Stop fighting with the 3D. Stop fighting with yourself. It will pass through you when you let it. Your reality will change when you let it.
Your only job is to know that you already exist in your dr and that you're there. Everything else will shift on it's own because it's you. You just have to shift internally, you just have to know. Shifting is as easy as breathing. Every single breath you take is also a shift. It is super easy to do. Stop being in your own way.
Let every thought pass. Let every feeling pass. The knowing is stronger than any thought, any emotion. Stop looking outside of you when the reason it even exists is YOU.

if you ever see a video where someone offers a homeless person a job and they refuse to take the job, please understand it's not because they don't want help.
they just don't want whatever job is being offered.
last time i took a job offered by a rando who ascertained i was homeless, he tried to insist on giving me a ride (even though he knew i live in my own car). he also forbid me from smoking any cigarettes in his presence. he talked to me for about 5 minutes before saying 'well, i feel like i understand you now!' and putting me to work doing hard labor. i did my best, but after 4 hours of it my body was giving out because, obviously, i hadn't been spending my days hauling heavy logs recently. when i told him i wasn't sure i could keep going that day, he looked at me judgementally and begrudgingly paid me. i had made it clear i'd only have enough energy for part-time work.
now, he paid me for this, but there were several red flags that made me wary of working for him again. despite the fact he claimed he was helping me, he barely communicated with me beyond giving orders and telling me stories about how his pets died. he tried to make sure i didn't have my own vehicle on his property. he wanted to control my cigarette use. he bragged about his wealth coming from real estate.
i'm not sure even he realized these things were red flags, because in his mind, doing work for a boss is how homeless people get on their feet, and he was doing A Good Thing by giving me an opportunity to work.
this is just one example, but when i talk about 'savior complex' people, this is what i'm talking about. many homeless people have taken jobs offered to them before, and for one reason or another they decided it was not safe or advantageous to continue that job. if a homeless person rejects a job, there's always more to it than drugs and laziness.

â â â â â âŻâmarshgirl!reader x rafe ⤠part i.ă
¤ ŰŞ ŕ§
á°. â ââ â ââ i asked my father if he believed in ghosts; he told me he would be one someday ,, ââ â â : ââ â âIN WHICH . . . rafe bets that he can befriend the weird girl who resides in the marsh. â âââ âšáĄŁđŠââđž
THE CYPRUS BRANCHES swayed in the gentle breeze of the early morning, mist still clinging low to the murky water and roots of the trees. The air was thick with the earthy scent of damp soil and natural decomposition of material as well as the sickly sweet smell of crushed wildflowers under your feet.
You moved through the marsh like you were born from itâ maybe you wereâwith quick, precise steps that avoided stray tree roots, sticks, rocks, and the occasional small animal. Your skirt swished at your ankles, wetted with fresh mud as you returned home from your morning scavenge of all the fascinating things nature had to offer.
Your lonely little cabin where you resided with your father was tucked away from the roads and civilization. He often told you that the world was dangerous, and it would eat a girl like you alive, so it was better to stay in the marsh where it was safe.
He'd never quite explained your way of life. You knew you were different, not like the other kids your age, but you didn't understand why, and whenever you dared ask, he would get agitated, asking you who put those thoughts into your head.
Maybe it was paranoia, a fear of what others were capable of, a fear of being out of control. Maybe it was grief, the loss of your mother so achingly deep that all he could do was run away and disappear.
Or maybe he was hiding something from you, from the world. Maybe the real reason for keeping you isolated had nothing to do with keeping you safe but rather, protecting whatever secrets he had buried in the marsh so long ago.
As you approached, you heard the familiar song of your handmade windchimesâmade from animal bones, shards of glass, and rusty metals you had collectedâand the piercing creaking of the old rocking chair that sat on the porch and moved with the wind. It was comforting. It was the sound of home.
"Daddy?" You called softly, pushing the creaky wooden door open and pausing to take your muddy boots off and set them down outside to keep from tracking mud inside before venturing into the house to retrieve this month's grocery list.
Once a month, on the last day of the month, you were permitted to go into town to stock up on groceries for the coming weeks. It had been a ritual like clockwork since you were thirteen. Though at that age you weren't technically allowed to be driving, your father insisted upon it anyway.
Padding further inside, your feet instinctively avoiding the spots in the floorboards that stuck up or had exposed nail heads, you found your father sitting in his worn, leather chair, knife in hand as he whittled something out of wood. "Back already?" He asked, glancing up at you. His gaze was always sharp and scrutinizing like he expected to catch you in a lie, and his voice was deep and rough, his vocal cords like rocks that had been weathered by a stream.
You nodded, the scent of burning wood from the fireplace mingling in the air with the smell of dried herbs and fresh flowers and infiltrating your senses. Your eyes followed his motions as he scraped the knife against the wood with slow, deliberate strokes, the sound of him humming in acknowledgement reaching your ears.
After a beat of silence, he sighed heavily, looking up at you with that piercing gaze as he set his knife down on the table, a little harsher than intended. "Remember the rules," he said firmly, his tone warning as he reached into his shirt pocket and pulled out a folded piece of paper. "Get what we need and come straight home. No lingering or talking to strangers," he reminded you, like he always did despite you having done this dozens of times.
"Yes, sir," you replied softly with an obedient nod, reaching for the paper in his outstretched hand. He held it firmly for a moment, not letting you take it as he searched your eyes, as if he could pull the truth from your bones. Clearly, he decided you were telling the truth about obeying his strict rules because he loosened his grip, allowing the paper to slip from his fingers.
You slipped the paper into your bagâthe same one you'd used to collect your trinketsâand turned on your heels, heading back to the front door. You swiped your dad's keys from the table by the door before closing it behind you, paying no mind to the screeching that would have made anyone else wince.
Slipping on your boots and trudging down the crumbling wooden steps, you noticed a shift of atmosphere; you always did when you were leaving. The wind seemed to blow a little harder, whistling to catch your attention as you started your father's rusty old truck and put it in reverse to make your way toward the road. In response, a nearby crow cawed loudly, causing a few others to follow.
The marsh didn't like when you went into town.
Neither did you.
The drive was always unsettling and left a pit in your stomach as the trees grew few and farther between and more houses came into view, eventually giving way to buildings crowded together and pavement instead of greenery.
You pulled into the parking lot, the truck's engine rattling as you put the car into park. People stared before you even got out of the car; they always did.
Stepping out, you felt the weight of eyes upon you, hushed whispers following you as you walked with your head held high. You didn't mind them. You always figured they were just curious, as you were about them.
Across the street, Rafe, Topper, and Kelce were exiting a high-end clothing store when they caught sight of you. "Holy shit, country cryptic incoming," Topper smirked, nudging Rafe and nodding to your form retreating into the grocery store.
"Bro, I swear she only crawls out of the swamp, like, once a year," Kelce said, following Topper's motion. They kept walking down the street, farther and farther away, but their conversation stayed centered around you.
"What do you think she's buying? Eye of newt? Frog legs?" Topper snickered, finding himself incredibly funny.
"She's gonna hear you two talking shit and hex you," Rafe quipped, smirking as he pushed his sunglasses up his nose. "Yknow, make your dicks shrivel up in your sleep."
"I'm not sure Topper's can get any smaller," Kelce snorted.
Topper shoved Kelce with an indignant scoff. "Shut the fuck up, man, not cool."
Rafe grinned, his gaze flickering back to the doors you'd just disappeared through. It was rare to see you in town, so rare that it became a spectacle. People would wait for your inevitable return and tell tales, most of them bullshit, about what they'd allegedly seen you do or heard you say when they encountered you.
A thought occurred to him that had him smirking. "What do you say we make this a little more interesting?" He proposed, making Topper and Kelce quit their bickering over dick sizes and look over at him with pinched brows.
"What do you mean?" They asked, almost in unison, their curiosity undoubtedly piqued.
"I think we should talk to her, see what her deal is, yknow. I don't think anyone in this town has actually ever heard her say more than, what, three words?" Rafe grinned, like he had just said something revolutionary.
The two boys looked at each other before bursting out laughing. "There's no way she'll talk to us, let alone you."
"What's that supposed to mean?" Rafe scowled, his face growing hot. He didn't appreciate being challenged.
"It means you're the biggest asshole I know," Kelce rolled his eyes, always one to tell it like it was. He wasn't as much a lapdog as Topper was. "You're like the last person she'll want to talk to."
"Girls talk to me all the time," Rafe defended, gritting his teeth at the insult.
"Yeah," Topper snorted. "When they're trying to fuck you. Not when they're, yknow, feral." He bared his teeth and made a clawing motion for emphasis.
Rafe was determined to prove them wrong. Nothing made him more willing to do something than when someone told him he couldn't. "Fine then, let's make a bet."
Kelce raised a brow. "A bet?"
"What kind of bet?" Topper asked.
Rafeâs grin stretched wider, cocky and self-assured. âI bet I can get her to talk to me. Not just talk, but, like⌠really talk. Get her to like me, maybe even fall for me."
Kelce and Topper exchanged glances, their skepticism evident. "You think you can make her fall for you?" Topper scoffed. "Dude, she's probably never even talked to a guy before."
"Exactly," Rafe smirked, already having decided that this would be a piece of cake to pull off. All he had to do was turn up the Cameron charm, and she'd fall to her knees. "That just makes it easier."
Kelce snorted. "Or it makes it fucking impossible. She lives in a swamp, bro. She probably doesn't even know what flirting is."
"That's the fun part," Rafe shrugged with a cocky grin, adjusting his sunglasses as he glanced toward the grocery store doors again. "She wonât even see it coming."
"Alright," Kelce shrugged, deciding this would be the easiest money he ever made. "You're on. If you can't get her to fall for you in a month, you owe us big time." Topper nodded in agreement.
And just like that, the deal was made. Rafe had one month to woo you into going on a real date with him, out in town where he would be able to prove to Kelce and Topper that he was every bit the man he claimed to be and that no woman was resistant to his charm, all of this completely unbeknownst to you.

The only reason it wasn't as "common" (1-3% of the population isn't exactly common, but whatever) before like 2010 was because no one knew about it, especially the farther back you go. So trans people would just bury the feeling as much as they could, and you'd only hear about trans people almost as a sideshow thing. Like "Hey, look at this woman, did you know she used to be a man? How weird!"
The only context I had for the trans experience before like 2016 was from movies where it was a joke. Around that time I met a trans woman at work and realized how I felt had a name and validity and I wasn't weird or broken or insane. She was luckily patient enough to answer all the questions I had that, now, I would say were bigoted, but due to ignorance not hate; again, all I knew about trans people (and only trans women) was from movies where that was something joked about.
But trans people have always been here. You can look back to ancient societies and see evidence of someone whose grave goods match a gender their bones don't seem to indicate. Obviously that doesn't mean they were trans because we have no way of knowing fully how ancient societies viewed gender and societal roles. But even historically you can find cases of "this woman dressed like a man and fulfilled a male space in society." If it seems like there are more trans people today, it's because more people have the knowledge to put a name to a feeling, and because the world is generally more understanding and accepting. There was the same "issue" when it became societally acceptable to be openly gay. It's growing pains. I just wish people would get the fuck over it and focus on shit that actually matters, because I'm so tired of hearing about how trans women shouldn't be allowed to piss.

Our Life: N&F Release Structure Poll
Hello!
Today itâs me, GB, writing a post for socials. Iâve been doing some thinking and have an important poll for all of you. Iâve gone on record to say there was something I didnât ever plan on, but Iâm reconsidering it. I want to know what players think of Our Life: Now & Forever releasing Step by Step instead of waiting for Steps 1, 2, and 3 to be completed before launch.
Google Form Poll Link
Honestly, things have been extremely upsetting with the state of the world. Iâve been stressed about it, wanting to do something that could comfort or reassure anyone, just lift peopleâs spirits a little. Having to accept that OL: N&F is not gonna be out any time this year has felt worse and worse every day. Though, players arenât being unkind about it. Everyoneâs been understanding; itâs my own internal anxiety troubling me. But thatâs why Iâm considering changing the release structure of the game. If getting to experience all of Step 1 in five or six months and Step 2 at the end of 2025 would be a positive development, then weâre gonna do that.
Iâm a little self-conscious and think people need the whole growing up experience to be sold on the OL games. Thatâs a major reason Iâve not considered an episodic launch. But I think our player base knows the series well enough to decide for themselves if theyâd rather play just a single Step or hold off on the game until more is done.
But the early access versions of Steps 1 and 2 would have some bells and whistles missing. Not all the MC Doll customization options would be included, a more advanced MC Detail system that listed things like if youâre good in school and if you have a bad relationship with your mom likely wouldnât be there either, etc.
And another reason I tend to avoid early access is because itâs helpful for developers to gain income to finish the game. OL: N&F doesnât need that. Itâs already fully funded. I wouldnât want players to buy DLCs at a bad time thinking theyâve gotta support this early access build.
So, thereâs things to consider. I did think it was at least worth floating, whether it ends up happening or not. Please feel free to vote in the poll and comment any thoughts/opinions you have. The poll will close on Saturday, February 15th.
The episodic launch will have to be the clear winner for us to switch to that. If people are split on it or donât care either way, weâll stick with the original plan of launching Steps 1-3 together.Â
Take care, everybody đ

Summary: For Jungkook, marrying you was a calculated move -a necessary step to secure the company that was rightfully his. But also a move to know you'd be his after years of looking at you from afar. For you, it was an escape from the gilded cage your family had locked you in. What neither of you anticipated was the spark that would ignite in the ashes of your arrangement. But in a world where every touch felt like a promise and every whisper hid a secret, falling for him was your first mistake. Because just when you thought his heart might truly be yours, you uncovered the truth. Or so you thought.
MASTERLIST
The air inside Jungkook's office was warm and suffocating despite the minimalistic modern design and large floor-to-ceiling windows that overlooked Berlin's skyline. You stepped inside with measured steps, your heels clicking softly on the marble floor. Jungkook was already there, leaning against the edge of his grand wooden desk with his long tattooed fingers wrapping around the pen that kept swirling on his digits every few seconds, the faintest smirk tugging at his lips.
"You're early," he said, his voice smooth but laced with something smug.
"I prefer to get unpleasant things over with quickly," you replied, your tone cool and detached as you slipped off your coat. "I assume your father told you why I'm here."
Jungkook chuckled, swirling the pen one last time before putting it down. "Oh, I know. The future Mrs. Jeon wants to 'discuss terms,' right? Sounds like a business merger already." his dark eyes gleamed with interest as he looked you up and down, deliberately slow. "But I'm curious, why did you finally agree? You seemed so determined to avoid me before."
You crossed your arms, meeting his gaze without flinching. "Not everything is about you, Jungkook. My reasons are my own."
The smirk faltered for a split second before returning, this time tinged with something bittersweet. "Fair enough," he said, straightening up and taking a step closer, his voice dropping just slightly. "But you'll have to get used to things being about us. At least, that's what everyone else will expect starting next weekend."
Your pulse quickened, but you refused to show it. You kept your expression neutral, tilting your head just slightly. "Let's get one thing straight, this marriage may be inevitable, but that doesn't mean I have to like it."
Jungkook smiled -slow, dangerous, and entirely too pleased. "I wouldn't have it any other way."
That sentence alone had you rolling your eyes, trying to control yourself from slipping your tongue on how disgusted you were by that whole thing.
You exhaled slowly, your fingers tightening around the strap of yourbag. "As long as you understand where we stand, this arrangement might work. We'll play the perfect couple for the public. But behind closed doors, we keep our distance until we sign the divorce papers. Simple."
Jungkook stepped closer, closing the space between you just enough to make your breath hitch. His cologne -warm and spicy- wrapped around you like an invisible trap. "Keep our distance?" he repeated, his voice low, almost amused. "Is that what you want? Because that's not what it looked like back at that business gala... when you couldn't stop staring."
As much as you wanted to deny it, your eyes were indeed on him the whole time. He was charming and captivating, it was impossible to move your eyes away from him. But that hypnosis lasted until his family came up with the idea of imposing that marriage on you. He lost all his charm just at that moment.
You narrowed your eyes. "I was staring at the disaster unfolding around me, not at you."
Jungkook smirked, tilting his head. "Right. That's why your eyes followed me the entire night." he leaned in, his lips just a breath away from your ear. "You're good at playing it cold, Y/n. But I wonder how long you can keep that act up once we're married."
You refused to back down, your voice calm despite the spark of irritation in your chest. "I've dealt with men far more intimidating than you, Jungkook. Trust me, keeping you at arm's length won't be a challenge."
A flicker of something darker crossed his eyes -something almost dangerous. For a moment, the air between you felt heavy, charged with unspoken words and years of unresolved tension.
"Good," Jungkook finally said, his voice a whisper. "Keep trying to resist me. It'll make it that much more fun when you fail."
Your jaw tightened, and you took a step back, reclaiming the distance. "You're delusional if you think I'll ever fall for you."
Jungkook raised his eyebrows in amused awe as he took on the challenge. "We'll see, future Mrs. Jeon. We've got a lifetime to test that theory."
You turned on your heel, refusing to give him the satisfaction of seeing how his words affected you. But as you walked toward the door, you couldn't shake the feeling that Jungkook was right. The real challenge wasn't staying distant -it was making sure you didn't get burned by the fire between you.
"By the way, you mentioned divorce... didn't you?" your tracks stopped the second he mentioned that detail, hearing his heavy steps behind you as he approached his body.
Slowly, you turned to him, unable to back down on your stance "That's what we agreed on."
"Some deals suffer changes as they have to meet different necessities, don't you think?" the way his eyebrows arched, while his lips pursed on a mocking grin almost had you losing your patience. "Divorce was ever on the plate? Because I don't think it was one of my conditions".
"No, it was one of mine" you spat back. "Either sign those divorce papers on good terms, or I'll drag you from one trial to another" Jungkook loved the challenge, he loved the way your eyes fixed on him to make sure he understood everything you were saying.
"What if I don't want to sign them?"
"Then you'll have to find another dumbass to agree to get married to you" you rolled your eyes, thinking that would be the end of your conversation, but his fingers hooked on your elbow to stop you from walking away.
You weren't sure exactly when he got so close, but you could feel the warm air escaping his nostrils on your cheeks.
"Don't try to throw a fist at me" he stopped you. "You're so used to getting what you want, don't you? You pout a little, you act a little bitchy and daddy gives you all you want. Let me give you a spoiler: that won't work with me. The moment you're my wife, you'll do as I say. And if I say I don't want to get divorced, then you won't get those fucking papers".
Your eyes started to water: rage, sadness, frustration... All those feelings were building up as you realized you got to a no-exit stop. Your plans were crumbling down, all your ideas were getting ruined, and all you could do was tighten your lips and open your eyes as much as possible so tears wouldn't escape with a blink.
Daddy's girl? He had absolutely no idea. If you were living in such a perfect place, you wouldn't have agreed in the first place, but the fact that your parents -or people who gave you shelter when you needed it- agreed on engaging their daughter with a complete stranger for money should've given him enough of a hint of your reality.
"Your choice" you managed to get rid of his grip. "Either sign those papers, or I'll make sure to tell everyone what all of this is about".
"You won't. And you wanna know how I know?" he took one step closer to you. "I'll make your life a living hell if you do".
"With what power?"
Your mocking tone was the last straw before he moved his hand from your elbow to your throat, wrapping his fingers around it and slamming your body against the wide door.
"I don't need any power for that." his eyes were dark, his threat becoming a promise "Even if it's the last thing I do, I'll make you regret ever messing with me. So you better come with a pretty dress and the best of attitudes next weekend". He let go of your throat slowly, calmly placing his shirt properly "I know you'll make the best decision" he finally said.
Your eyes were fixed on him, confused at how easily he let you go. And, somehow, his words were even scarier than his actions, because you could see the threat through them.
The grand hall was filled with muted whispers and expectant gazes, the air thick with anticipation. The soft hum of violins played in the background, their melody delicate but almost haunting. The guests sat in rows beneath an arch of white roses and crystal chandeliers, their eyes flitting between the tall doors at the back of the aisle and Jungkook, who stood at the altar in his perfectly tailored black suit, waiting.
His fingers twitched at his sides as he stole a glance at the watch, sliding the sleeve of his jacket just a bit far up.
Ten minutes late. Then fifteen.
You weren't there.
He told himself you'd show up. You had to. But with each passing second, doubt sank its claws deeper into him. His heart pounded, and the polished facade he wore so well began to crack. Was this your way of backing out? A silent rebellion against a marriage neither of you had chosen? Were you actually telling the truth when you said you wouldn't show up if he didn't promise you a divorce?
The doors remained closed, and Jungkook's jaw tightened. His father, seated in the front row, shot him a warning glance -one that practically screamed "Handle this".
Then, just as his patience teetered on the edge of collapse, the heavy doors finally creaked open.
A hush fell over the crowd.
And there you were.
You stood at the entrance in your wedding dress, the long veil trailing behind you, catching the soft light like a halo. For a moment, the room seemed to blur around you, everything fading except the heavy thud of your heart. You could feel every eye on you, the weight of their expectations pressing down on your chest, stealing the breath from your lungs.
Your feet felt like concrete as you took your first step. Hesitation rooted itself deep inside you, your body caught in a battle between instinct and obligation.
Jungkook watched you with an intensity that bordered on desperation. His dark eyes flickered with a thousand questions. You couldn't miss the way his shoulders tensed or how his lips pressed into a thin line, betraying the fear he was trying so hard to conceal.
Step by step, you made your way down the aisle, but each step felt heavier than the last. Doubt whispered cruelly in your ear. "You don't have to do this" you told yourself.
Your fingers clutched the bouquet so tightly that your knuckles turned white. You forced yourself forward, your gaze fixed ahead, refusing to meet Jungkook's eyes until you stood just a breath away from him.
"Finally," Jungkook muttered under his breath, his voice low enough for only you to hear.
There was relief in his tone, but it was wrapped in a layer of frustration.
The officiant began to speak, his words echoing in the cavernous hall. You barely registered them, your mind a tangled mess of emotions. Jungkook's eyes never left yours. His expression was calm on the surface, but you could see the storm raging just beneath it: fear, frustration, and something dangerously close to longing.
"And now," the officiant said, his voice cutting through the fog in your mind, "if the bride and groom would like to exchange their vows."
Jungkook went first. His voice was steady, but the practiced words carried an unexpected weight, laced with sincerity that caught you off guard.
"I promise to protect you," he said, his gaze locking onto yours. "To stand beside you through whatever comes next. No matter what happens... I'm yours."
There was a flicker of vulnerability in his eyes -just a flash- but it was enough to send your heart lurching in your chest.
Then it was your turn. The officiant turned to you expectantly, waiting for your response.
You opened your mouth to speak, but no words came.
A heavy silence hung in the air. It stretched long enough to make the guests shift uncomfortably in their seats. Even the soft melody of the violins seemed to falter.
Everything you had prepared so mindfully disappeared at the feeling of being so watched, as if you were under watchful eye. You were sure it'd be obvious you weren't feeling either of the words you were pronouncing.
Jungkook's fingers curled slightly at his sides, his eyes searching yours for a sign, for anything.
The officiant cleared his throat. "Do you, Y/n, take Jeon Jungkook to be your lawfully wedded husband?" his tone was insistent, as if he wanted to get any words from you to get all of that over with.
The pause that followed was suffocating. You felt Jungkook's breath catch, his entire body coiled tight, ready to unravel.
Although he hoped you wouldn't humiliate him that way, he saw you completely able to do it.
Finally, you whispered the words.
"...I do."
Your voice was barely audible, a breath more than a declaration. But it was enough.
Jungkook exhaled, his shoulders relaxing, though the tension in his jaw remained. His eyes never left yours, dark and unreadable, as if trying to solve a puzzle with too many missing pieces.
The officiant smiled, oblivious to the war waging between the two of you. "By the power vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride."
Jungkook hesitated, just for a heartbeat, before leaning in. Your head immediately threw back slightly, enough for him to know you didn't want that kiss and make it seem like a shy move for the rest of the assistants. His hand found your waist -firm but not forceful- as he tilted his head and pressed his lips to yours.
The kiss was brief, calculated for the audience, but the heat of it lingered far longer than it should have. Jungkook had been daydreaming way too long about it to waste that chance.
His lips were warm against yours, but there was something else beneath the surface. A question. A challenge.
When he pulled back, his eyes locked on yours once more. He didn't smile. Neither did you.
The applause from the crowd felt distant, like it belonged to another world entirely.
As the two of you turned to face the audience, Jungkook leaned in close, his breath warm against your ear.
"We're just getting started," he whispered, his voice dark with promise.
You kept your face neutral, your expression unreadable, but your pulse betrayed you, thudding wildly in your chest.
The reception was a spectacle of luxury and elegance, just as expected from a merger of two powerful families. Crystal chandeliers cast a warm glow over the grand hall, where hundreds of guests mingled, sipping champagne and exchanging polite congratulations.
You smiled and nodded your way through countless conversations, always keeping one eye on Jungkook. He was never far, and every time you saw him start toward you, you slipped between groups of guests or ducked behind another table.
You had managed to avoid him all night. At the cake-cutting ceremony, his hand had hovered near yours on the knife, holding tighter over your skin as you threatened to let the long sword slide from your fingers to his throat. And for a fleeting moment, you thought he might say something, yet he only smirked and moved closer to you. You were quick to turn away, disappearing into the crowd the moment the applause broke, trying to get away from him.
Jungkook, however, was nothing if not persistent.
The moment you saw him again, his dark eyes locked onto yours from across the dance floor. This time, there was no escape. The crowd parted just enough for him to make his way toward you, his strides deliberate and confident.
"Running from me again?" he said when he reached you, his voice low, a challenge glinting in his eyes.
You lifted your chin, forcing your expression to stay composed. "I wasn't running. I was... mingling with the guests."
His lips curled into a smirk. "Right. Mingling." he offered his hand, palm open and waiting. "Well, it's time for the first dance, Mrs. Jeon. You wouldn't want to disappoint our guests, would you?"
Your stomach tightened at the weight of his words. There was no getting out of this. Not without causing a scene.
With a quiet sigh, you slipped your hand into his. His fingers curled around yours, warm and firm, and you couldn't help but notice how easily they fit together.
The lights dimmed, and the soft melody of "You Are the Reason" by Calum Scott filled the air. A sweet, tender song -one that felt far too intimate for the situation, as if it was meant for two people who loved each other.
Jungkook led you to the center of the dance floor, his hand resting gently on your waist, pulling you just close enough to make your pulse stutter.
"I was starting to think you wouldn't show up today," he said softly, his voice barely audible over the music. His eyes searched yours, the teasing edge gone now, replaced by something far more serious. "You made me worried."
You swallowed, your gaze dropping for a split second before meeting his again. "I was... thinking things through."
His hand tightened slightly on your waist. "Did you change your mind at the last minute?"
For a moment, you didn't answer. The question hung in the air between you, heavy with meaning. The song swelled around you, the lyrics wrapping around your heart like a bittersweet lullaby.
You knew hell would be nothing compared to your life if you didn't show up to the wedding. Not because of Jungkook or his family though, but your adoptive parents. The moment you twisted all of their plans, there would be no escape from it.
At least with Jungkook you wouldn't owe anyone anything. Instead, you'd be the one they owe something to.
Jungkook's eyes softened, his voice dropping to a near whisper. "If you had, I would've waited. I would've found another way."
Your breath hitched. His words caught you off guard -unexpected and disarming. For the first time that night, the wall you had so carefully built around yourself began to crack.
He seemed so genuine, so caring.
"I'm here now," you said, your voice steadier than you felt. "That's all that matters."
His gaze lingered on you for a long moment before he nodded. "Yeah. You're here."
The music continued, the world around you fading as you moved together in perfect synchrony. His touch was light yet grounding, his eyes never leaving yours.
For a fleeting second, you forgot about the crowd, the expectations, the tangled mess of your circumstances. It was just the two of you, swaying gently beneath the chandeliers, the lyrics of the song weaving a story neither of you was ready to admit aloud.
As the final notes faded, Jungkook leaned in just slightly, his voice a soft murmur against your ear.
"You can keep running all you want," he said, his breath warm on your skin. "But sooner or later, you'll stop. And when you do... I'll be right here, waiting."
You pulled back just enough to meet his gaze. There was no smirk, no mask, just him.
The applause from the crowd broke the spell, and you quickly stepped back, your heart thudding painfully in your chest. Jungkook let you go, but his eyes stayed on you, dark and unreadable, as if daring you to run again.
And maybe you would. But for the first time, a small part of you wondered if running was really what you wanted. No, you stayed by his side, answering to his challenge with the same power he was showing off.
The party blurred into a collection of clinking glasses, polite congratulations, and watchful eyes. Despite the sea of guests surrounding you, you felt like you were holding your breath the entire time. So when Jungkook leaned close and whispered, "Let's get out of here," you didn't argue. If he hadn't said it, you probably would've escaped by yourself.
Now, the two of you sat in the back of a sleek black car, the hum of the city filling the silence between you. The driver navigated the streets with ease, the warm glow of streetlights flashing across the car's interior.
Jungkook sat beside you, his posture relaxed, but his eyes kept drifting toward your hand -the wedding ring glinting softly on your finger. He didn't bother hiding the fact that he was staring.
You caught him once, raising an eyebrow. "Something wrong?"
His gaze flicked up to meet yours, and for a second, something unreadable flashed across his face. "No," he said quietly. "Just getting used to the sight."
You turned your hand slightly, the light catching on the diamond. The ring was beautiful, of course -a complex design that was probably picked out by your parents and Jungkook's father rather than by either of you. It felt foreign on your finger, a constant reminder of the deal you'd made.
Jungkook's lips twitched into something that wasn't quite a smile. "It suits you," he said, his voice soft, almost contemplative.
You said nothing, turning your head to watch the city rush by through the window. Jungkook simply smirked, knowing that your silence was better than a sassy response from you.
When the car finally pulled up to the luxury hotel, you let out a breath you didn't realize you were holding. The driver opened the door, and you stepped out, feeling the cool night air brush against your skin. Jungkook followed close behind, his hand hovering near the small of your back but never quite touching.
The suite was exactly what you expected -grand and luxurious, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering a stunning view of the Brandenburg Gate. A bottle of champagne and a tray of chocolates waited on the marble table, while a large king-sized bed sat at the center of the room, draped in crisp white linens.
You set your bag down and turned to Jungkook, folding your arms across your chest. "I'll take the bed. You can sleep on the couch."
His eyebrows lifted slightly, a hint of amusement in his eyes. "The couch?"
"It's comfortable enough," you said, nodding toward the plush, oversized sofa near the window. "Plenty of space."
Jungkook took a step closer, his expression unreadable. "We're married now, remember? Sharing the bed won't kill us."
You scoffed lightly, crossing the room to stand by the couch. "Not happening." You glanced back at him, raising an eyebrow. "Fine. You take the bed. I'll sleep here." you rushed to say, feeling your energy consumed by the small talk you made with all the guests.
"No." his response was immediate, his tone firm. "You're not sleeping on the couch."
"Then am I sleeping on the floor?" you arched an eyebrow "Because I won't sleep with you in the same bed".
You stared at him, daring him to argue further. But to your surprise, he sighed and ran a hand through his dark hair. "Alright. I'll sleep on the couch."
His sudden surrender caught you off guard. "Just like that?"
He smirked faintly, tossing his jacket onto a chair. "I'm not going to win this argument, am I?"
You watched him for a moment, suspicious of how easily he gave in, but ultimately decided not to push it. "Good. I'll get ready for bed."
As you disappeared into the bathroom, Jungkook sank onto the couch, leaning his head back against the cushions. He glanced at the wedding ring on his own hand, turning it slowly between his fingers. For all his confidence and charm, there was something strangely grounding about the weight of the band.
As much as that wasn't the way he wanted you to be by his side, it somehow made him feel good.
When you returned, dressed in something far more comfortable than your wedding gown, Jungkook was already stretched out on the couch, one arm draped over his eyes.
"Comfortable?" you asked, standing by the bed.
He peeked at you from beneath his arm, his lips quivering into a faint smile. "I've had worse."
You rolled your eyes and climbed into bed, pulling the blankets up around you. For a few moments, silence filled the room, the only sound the soft hum of the city outside the windows.
Just as your eyes started to drift closed, you heard Jungkook's voice -quiet but clear in the darkness.
"Goodnight, Y/n."
You hesitated before responding, your voice soft. "Goodnight, Jungkook."
Neither of you said anything after that, but sleep didn't come easily. You lay in the dark, staring at the ceiling, painfully aware of his presence just a few feet away.
The distance between you felt both vast and dangerously fragile. And as the minutes stretched into hours, you couldn't help but wonder how long it would stay that way.
The morning started quietly -too quietly. You woke up, blinking against the soft morning light spilling into the room, only to find Jungkook already sitting on the couch, his phone in hand. His jacket was gone, and his dress shirt, slightly wrinkled from the night before, was unbuttoned at the collar. He looked far too relaxed for someone who had spent the night on a couch after your wedding.
"Good morning," he said, his eyes flicking to yours the second you stirred. His voice was calm, but there was something smug lurking just beneath the surface, as if he was already one step ahead of you.
You rubbed your eyes, forcing yourself to sound composed. "Morning."
A few beats of silence passed, too long to be comfortable.
"You were tossing and turning last night," Jungkook said casually, stretching his arms behind his head. "Couldn't sleep?"
"I slept just fine," you lied, standing and heading for your bag. You could feel his eyes on your every move, sharp and assessing.
"You sure? You sounded restless." his voice was smooth, laced with amusement.
You froze, giving him a flat look. "Were you listening to me sleep?"
He grinned, leaning forward with his elbows on his knees. "It's hard not to when someone mutters 'This is a mistake' at 2 a.m."
Your face heated. "I did not..."
"You did." his smirk widened. "I thought about waking you up to ask what you meant, but I figured I'd let you dream about it instead."
You crossed your arms, your patience wearing thin. "Thanks for your consideration, Jungkook."
"Anything for you, love," he said, drawing out the word with deliberate sarcasm.
"You've really mastered being annoying, haven't you?" you shot back, heading toward the closet.
"Years of practice," he said, standing up and stretching, his shirt riding up just enough to reveal a sliver of skin. "You'll get used to it."
You rolled your eyes, yanking open your suitcase with unnecessary force. "God forbid."
Jungkook chuckled under his breath, walking over to lean casually against the wall beside you. "You can deny it all you want, but deep down, you like this."
You turned to glare at him. "Like what?"
"This," he said, gesturing between the two of you. "The bickering. The back-and-forth. Admit it, it's fun."
You took a deep breath, trying to keep your voice steady. "Jungkook, not everything is a game. And if you think this -whatever this is- counts as fun, then we're going to have a very long, very difficult marriage."
He tilted his head, pretending to think. "A long marriage... Sounds like you're planning to stick around. It does sound really good to me."
"Oh my god," you muttered, turning on your heel. "I can't do this right now."
You stalked toward the bathroom, determined to get a moment's peace.
"You're already giving up?" he called after you. "We've been married for less than 24 hours, Y/n!"
"I'm not giving up. I'm taking a shower," you snapped, slamming the bathroom door shut.
The water was a relief, washing away some of the tension, but your frustration lingered like a storm cloud. And then, halfway through shampooing your hair, you realized something.
You forgot to bring clothes.
You let out a frustrated groan, rinsing the shampoo quickly before wrapping yourself in a towel. The last thing you wanted was to ask Jungkook for help, so you cracked the door open and peeked out.
He was still there, leaning against the counter with his arms crossed, clearly waiting for your return like some smug predator.
Of course.
You squared your shoulders and stepped out, keeping your head high as you made your way toward the bag.
Jungkook's eyes found you immediately, sweeping over your damp hair and the towel wrapped tightly around you. He didn't even try to hide it.
"Forgot something?" his voice was low and teasing.
"Not a word," you warned, grabbing your clothes.
But before you could escape back to the bathroom, his hand wrapped around your wrist, stopping you in your tracks. His fingers were warm, firm, and far too steady for someone who was enjoying this way too much.
"Why bother going back?" he said softly, his voice dropping into that dangerously calm tone that always made your pulse race. "You're already here."
You tightened your grip on your towel. "Let me go, Jungkook."
His eyes darkened, his thumb brushing against your wrist in a slow, deliberate motion. "Why? What's the big deal? We're married now, remember?"
Your breath caught, but you forced your voice to stay steady. "I'm not afraid of you, if that's what you're thinking."
He leaned in just slightly, his lips curving into a smirk. "Then prove it. Get changed right here." His gaze dropped for a split second before meeting yours again, his voice barely a whisper. "Unless you're shy."
Your heart thundered in your chest, heat rushing to your face. "I'm not shy."
You weren't shy, but you didn't like the way your body was reacting to his voice, to his petition and his proximity. And you certainly didn't want him to see it so clearly either.
"Then go ahead," he said, his voice practically daring you.
You glared at him, yanking your wrist free. "Turn around."
"I'm not turning around" he sighed, sitting on the edge of the bed. "What's the fun of it if I can't see you?"
He was trying to intimidate you, challenge you to do something he thought you wouldn't dare to do, so he could then tease you about it.
Two could play that game.
You placed the clothes on the bed, next to where he was. Taking one step back, your hands were placed on both edges of the towel, slowly undoing the knot to let it pool at your feet. Jungkook gulped thick at the sight, not expecting you to actually get naked in front of him, and even less that way, and it gave you a pinch of pride at how nervous he looked for a second.
You didn't need to do anything, just that stare and the sight of your body alone was enough to awaken the most primal needs. His body responded to you, even if it had been just a second he saw you. Your humid skin, the way some drops fell from your hair and rolled down the curve of your breast to get to your hardened nipple. His mouth was watering just with the need of tasting you.
Jungkook blinked, confused at the way your hand was stretched out for him, "The panties" you mentioned as if it were obvious.
His hand moved to his left, grabbing the fabric to hand it out to you. You put them on torturously slow, covering your lower half to snap your fingers and asking him for your bra. Placing the strips on your shoulders, you turned to him, your body fitting perfectly in between his semi-parted legs as you silently asked him to tie the clasp.
Shivers ran through your body at the contact of the reverse of his fingers on your skin, his touch holding on longer than necessary, just because he liked the way you felt as he touched you a little bit too much.
You didn't need to ask, because Jungkook moved to the next item the moment you stepped away.
He should've seen it coming for him when he saw you lifting your feet, placing it on his thigh -way too close to a place where he needed you like crazy. Your fingers moved calmly, sliding the tight over your leg, up the curve of your knee, moving it past your thigh. Yet Jungkook could only focus on how your warmth spread over his skin like wildfire, making him feel you were touching him in places you were not.
When you finally stepped back to put on the other side of the tight, and the rest of clothes, Jungkook felt like he could breathe again, his control coming back to him when he was able to think straight -which also happened when you were fully clothed again.
You thought he'd hesitate or act shy, but instead his cocky attitude came back as he stood up, the height difference becoming obvious again as he towered over you.
"See how it isn't that difficult to be a good girl?" he muttered, just loud enough for you to hear.
You'd have thrown a shoe at him if he hadn't hidden inside the bathroom immediately after airing out that response.
He was insufferable.
The car ride to Jungkook's house was quiet, tense, and far too long for your liking. The morning sun bathed the streets in gold, but it did nothing to lighten the atmosphere inside the vehicle. Jungkook sat beside you, one arm draped lazily across the back of the seat, his eyes occasionally drifting toward you as you stared resolutely out the window.
He had been surprisingly well-behaved since the towel incident, keeping his teasing remarks to a minimum -though his occasional glances were enough to keep you on edge.
When the car finally pulled up in front of his house, your eyes widened slightly. House was an understatement. It was a sprawling modern estate with sleek glass panels, sharp architectural lines, and an air of quiet luxury.
"Home sweet home," Jungkook said, stepping out of the car and holding the door open for you with a half-smirk.
You stepped out, clutching your overnight bag tightly. "Big enough so we won't have to see each other for a whole day"
"Thanks for noticing," he quipped. "Come on. I'll give you the grand tour."
You followed him up the steps, trying not to be too impressed as you took in the pristine interior-marble floors, minimalist dĂŠcor, and massive windows that flooded the space with light.
"Kitchen's over there," Jungkook said, gesturing toward an open-concept area with gleaming countertops. "Dining room, living room... you know, standard rich-guy stuff."
"Right," you said dryly. "Because this is completely normal."
He glanced back at you with a grin. "You'll get used to it." the mockery on his tone, knowing damn too well you were used to all that luxury and more, shouldn't have been as funny as it seemed for you.
You rolled your eyes, walking a little faster to avoid his gaze. The tension from earlier was still there, simmering just beneath the surface, but it was muted now, replaced by an odd sense of anticipation.
"Upstairs," Jungkook said, leading you to the second floor. You followed him down a hallway lined with modern artwork and huge windows, your footsteps echoing softly on the hardwood floors.
He stopped in front of a door near the end of the hallway and turned to you. "This is your room."
You blinked, caught off guard. "My... room?"
Jungkook nodded, his expression unreadable. "I figured you'd want your own space."
Your hand tightened around the strap of your bag. For a moment, you didn't know what to say. You had fully expected him to make some smug comment about sharing a bed -or worse, insist on it. But there he was, offering you something you hadn't dared to hope for: distance.
"Thanks," you said quietly, stepping into the room. It was beautiful -spacious, with a king-sized bed, soft cream-colored walls, and a large window that overlooked the shared garden of the building. There was even an en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower and a deep soaking tub.
You indeed wouldn't need to get out there, except to eat.
"Your things are in the closet" he started. "You didn't bring a lot of things, so I guess you'll bring the rest later?"
"No, that's it" you whispered.
Jungkook stopped for a second, shocked about the fact that you only brought a medium suitcase and the bag you were carrying to pack up all of your things. It wasn't like he was expecting a full suitcase display from you, but certainly not something so minimal.
"I'll be down the hall if you need anything," Jungkook said, lingering in the doorway. His eyes softened, his earlier bravado fading just a little. "Seriously. Anything."
For a brief second, the air between you shifted. He wasn't teasing or smug. He just looked... sincere.
You hesitated, feeling the strange urge to say something more, but the words caught in your throat. Instead, you gave him a small nod. "I'll be fine."
He smiled faintly, stepping back. "Alright. Settle in. I'll see you downstairs."
As he walked away, you closed the door and leaned against it, exhaling slowly.
Maybe this wouldn't be so bad after all.
But then again, with Jungkook, nothing ever stayed calm for long.
The first month of marriage was nothing short of a battlefield.
It didn't take long for every small interaction to turn into a heated argument. Jungkook always had something to say -sharp and sarcastic, ready to push your buttons at every opportunity. You were no better, meeting his smug remarks with icy glares and curt responses. It became a game, a war of words and wills, with neither of you willing to surrender.
There were good moments, but they were fleeting. It started with you finding out Jungkook filled up your closet with different clothes and accessories, adding up to the small suitcase you first brought. And it slowly evolved into a laugh shared over breakfast when Jungkook nearly burned his toast. A surprisingly comfortable evening spent watching a movie in silence, where the tension seemed to ease just a little. But those moments were always overshadowed by the endless tug-of-war that followed.
It was exhausting, that constant dance of hostility and fleeting truce.
Every day felt like a test of who could push the other further without breaking. The house, despite its size, felt stifling. His presence lingered in every room -a constant reminder that your marriage was nothing more than a cage disguised as luxury.
And today, you'd had enough.
The argument started in the kitchen that morning, over something as trivial as a set of misplaced car keys. It escalated far too quickly, voices rising, accusations flying.
"You always think you can control everything," you snapped, crossing your arms.
Jungkook leaned against the counter, his jaw tightening. "Control? I'm trying to help you, but you treat everything I say like it's some personal attack."
"Because it always is!" you threw up your hands in frustration. "You don't know how to back off, Jungkook! You just keep pushing and pushing... Fuck, you don't let me breathe!"
"Maybe because you keep running away instead of facing things!" his voice dropped, low and sharp. "You're so obsessed with shutting me out that you can't even see when someone's trying to meet you halfway."
You stared at him, chest heaving, words caught in your throat. For a second, neither of you moved. The silence felt heavier than the argument itself.
Then, without a word, you turned on your heel and stormed upstairs. You needed air, space, anything to escape that suffocating cycle.
In your room, you grabbed a coat and your purse, your hands trembling with frustration. Your eyes caught on your wedding ring, glinting in the sunlight. The sight of it only fueled the fire burning in your chest.
You slipped it off, the cool metal unfamiliar without the warmth of your skin beneath it. For a moment, you stared at the ring in your palm, your thoughts a chaotic swirl of emotions.
Then you set it on the dresser and walked out of the room, not bothering to look back.
Jungkook was still in the kitchen when you came back down, his back to you. You didn't say a word as you grabbed your keys from the counter and headed for the front door.
The sound of your footsteps must have caught his attention because he turned around, his eyes narrowing. "Where are you going?"
"Out," you said shortly, not slowing down.
"Without your ring?" his voice was calm, too calm. It sent a shiver down your spine.
You paused, hand on the door handle, refusing to turn around. "I need some time alone."
"And you think taking off your ring is the way to do that?" his footsteps echoed behind you, slow and deliberate. "Is this your idea of freedom?"
You finally turned to face him, meeting his eyes head-on. "What does it matter? It's not like this marriage is real anyway."
The words hung in the air, heavy and final.
For the first time in weeks, Jungkook didn't have a quick response. He just looked at you, his jaw clenched, his eyes dark with something you couldn't quite place -hurt, maybe, or anger, or both.
"If you walk out that door without it," he said quietly, "don't expect me to come looking for you."
The threat was clear, but it only made your resolve stronger.
"Good," you said, voice steady. "That's exactly what I want."
And with that, you opened the door and stepped outside, the cool air hitting your face like a slap.
As you walked toward your car, your heart pounded in your chest. Part of you expected him to follow, to stop you. But when you glanced back, the door was already closed.
Maybe he didn't care enough to stop you after all. Although you wouldn't think too much about it. The more he ignored you, the more freedom you'd have.
The bar was harmonized with a low hum of conversation and soft music filling the air. You had no plan when you walked in -just an overwhelming need to be anywhere but at that house. You found a spot at the bar, ordering a drink and savoring the temporary escape it promised.
The alcohol warmed your throat and dulled the frustration swirling in your chest. One drink turned into two, and for the first time in weeks, you felt like you could breathe again.
"You look like you could use some company."
You glanced up to see a man standing beside you, his smile easy and confident. His eyes lingered on you just a little too long.
"Not really," you said, turning back to your drink.
"Come on, don't be like that," he said, leaning in closer. "It's just a conversation. You shouldn't be alone in a place like this."
"I'm fine," you insisted, but he didn't seem to get the hint.
The air shifted before you could say anything else, a new presence filling the space behind you.
"She's not alone."
You froze at the familiar voice, low and commanding. Turning slightly, you found yourself face-to-face with Jungkook. His dark eyes were locked on the man, his jaw tight, his entire body radiating quiet danger.
The man raised an eyebrow, clearly unimpressed. "And who are you?"
Jungkook's lips curved into a slow, dangerous smile. "Her husband."
The word hung in the air like a gunshot, silencing everything around you.
The man's eyes flicked between the two of you, suddenly less confident. "Right... well, my mistake." he backed away with a muttered apology, disappearing into the crowd.
Your heart was pounding, though you weren't sure if it was from the alcohol or the way Jungkook's eyes hadn't left you once.
"What are you doing here?" you asked, trying to sound unaffected.
"I could ask you the same thing," he said, his voice calm but laced with barely restrained frustration. "But I guess taking off your ring and disappearing without a word answers that for me."
"I needed space," you said, crossing your arms. "You don't own me, Jungkook."
His eyes darkened. "You're right. I don't. But I'm still your husband. If you disappear in the middle of the night, I'll come looking for you. And if some creep thinks he can hit on you, then I'm going to do something about it."
You rolled your eyes, the alcohol emboldening you. "So this is about your ego?"
He took a step closer, the tension crackling between you. "No. It's about the fact that I care, whether you want to believe it or not."
His words caught you off guard, leaving you momentarily speechless.
"Let's go," he said, his tone softening just a fraction. "It's late."
"I'm not going anywhere," you said stubbornly, turning back toward the bar.
Jungkook let out a humorless laugh, shaking his head. "Fine. You want to be difficult? Have it your way."
Before you could react, his arm looped around your waist, and in one swift motion, he threw you over his shoulder like it was the easiest thing in the world.
"Jungkook!" you gasped, pounding your fists against his back. "Put me down!"
"Not a chance," he muttered, already weaving his way through the crowd. Heads turned, curious eyes following the scene as you squirmed in his grip. "You brought this on yourself."
"Jungkook, I swear to God..."
"You can yell all you want," he said calmly. "We're leaving."
Once outside, the cool night air hit you like a slap, but it did little to cool the heat rising in your cheeks -from anger or embarrassment, you weren't sure. Jungkook carried you all the way to his car, finally setting you down beside it.
"You're insane," you snapped, your breath coming fast as you straightened your clothes.
"Maybe," he said, stepping closer, his eyes never leaving yours. "I thought you'd have learned to love it by now."
For a moment, you stood there, caught in a standoff.
"Get in the car," he said softly, but there was no mistaking the authority in his voice.
Your pride told you to refuse, to stand your ground and make this even more difficult. But something about the intensity in his eyes made you falter.
Wordlessly, you opened the car door and got in, your pulse still racing.
Jungkook slid into the driver's seat, starting the car without another word. The ride home was silent, the air between you charged with tension. You could feel his occasional glances, the way his hands tightened around the steering wheel every time your bare finger caught the light.
The ride home was silent. He didn't speak, and neither did you. But the weight of everything unsaid filled the car, pressing down on you both.
When you pulled up in front of the building, Jungkook finally broke the silence.
"I'm not going to pretend I know what you're thinking," he said, his voice low. "But if you want to leave, really leave, just say it. I'll let you go."
You turned to look at him, surprised by the vulnerability in his eyes. It was the first time you'd seen him drop his guard like this.
But instead of answering, you opened the door and stepped out, your heart pounding in your chest.
Jungkook stayed in the car for a moment before following you inside. Neither of you said a word as you climbed the stairs, the tension thick enough to cut with a knife.
When you reached your room, you paused in the doorway, glancing back at him.
"Goodnight," you said softly, your voice barely audible.
For once, Jungkook didn't have a clever comeback. He just nodded, his eyes lingering on you a little longer than they should have.
"Goodnight," he echoed, his voice rough around the edges.
As you closed the door behind you, you couldn't shake the feeling that something had shifted between you -something neither of you was ready to admit yet.
The tension between you and Jungkook had been palpable since that night. Every word, every glance, felt like a battle -a silent war that neither of you was willing to lose. And just when you thought it couldn't get any worse, you found yourself trapped at one of his company's lavish parties, drowning in champagne and meaningless small talk.
It wasn't your kind of crowd. Polished executives and their equally polished partners swirled around you, exchanging pleasantries and hollow laughs. Being the accessory of the main character of the party wasn't your thing at all. You stood near the bar, sipping your drink, counting down the minutes until you could escape.
That's when you saw him, Jungkook, standing at the center of a group of people, commanding their attention with ease. He was dressed in a sharp black suit, his hair perfectly styled, exuding the kind of confidence that made it impossible to look away.
And then you noticed her.
She was standing beside him, too close, her hand resting lightly on his arm as she laughed at something he said. A striking woman in a sleek red dress, her eyes sparkled with something far more than professional interest.
Your grip on your glass tightened as you watched her lean in, whispering something into his ear. To your horror, Jungkook didn't pull away. Instead, he turned toward her with a slow smile, his eyes dropping deliberately to her lips before meeting hers again.
It was a calculated move -one meant for your benefit. You knew it. He knew it.
Your stomach twisted, a mix of anger and something far more dangerous bubbling in your chest. But you refused to give him the satisfaction of a reaction. Not here. Not in front of everyone.
You turned your back to him, willing yourself to focus on the conversation happening nearby. It was meaningless chatter, something about stock prices, but you latched onto it, pretending you didn't notice the way your pulse was racing.
"Jealous, love?"
The voice was low and teasing, right behind you. You didn't need to turn to know who it was.
"Hardly," you said, taking a sip of your drink without looking at him. "Do what you want. I couldn't care less."
"Is that so?" Jungkook stepped into your line of vision, his eyes glinting with amusement. "Because it looked like you were about two seconds away from throwing your drink at her."
"More like two seconds away from smacking this glass on your head" you finally sentenced.
"That does sound like someone who's jealous"
You forced a smile, meeting his gaze head-on. "Please. If I wanted to make a scene, you'd know it."
Jungkook chuckled, leaning in slightly, his voice dropping to a whisper meant only for you. "Careful, Y/n. You might give me the wrong idea: that you actually care about me and what I do."
Your pulse jumped, but you refused to let him win. "Trust me, I don't." you narrowed your eyes while looking at him "Just be careful of how you behave in front of everyone. We're still married. In private, do whatever the fuck you please".
His smile was slow, almost predatory. "Good. Because I'd hate for you to get hurt playing a game you can't win."
With that, he turned and walked away, leaving you standing there, breathless and furious.
The rest of the evening passed in a blur. You couldn't stop watching him: laughing, smiling, always with her by his side. Each glance felt like a deliberate push, a challenge to see how far you'd let him go.
By the time the party started winding down, you'd had enough. You grabbed your purse and made your way toward the exit, your steps quick and determined.
But before you could leave, a hand wrapped around your wrist, stopping you in your tracks.
"Running away again?" Jungkook's voice was calm, but his grip was firm.
"Let go," you said, your voice low and dangerous.
"Not until you admit it." His eyes locked onto yours, the amusement gone, replaced by something far more serious.
"Admit what?"
"That you care," he said simply.
You yanked your wrist free, your eyes burning with fury. "You're unbelievable."
"And yet, here you are," Jungkook said softly, his eyes never leaving yours. "Still standing in front of me". You didn't know when he stepped so close that your chests were pressed together and your breaths were mixing between you two "I'm only yours, love. You just need to ask me, and I'll declare to you my love without thinking twice".
For a moment, the world around you seemed to fade, the party noise a distant hum. You hated how close he was, how easily he could get under your skin.
But you refused to give him what he wanted. Not tonight.
Without another word, you turned and walked away, ignoring the way your heart was pounding in your chest.
The car ride back was suffocatingly quiet. The air between you felt like a loaded gun, ready to go off at the slightest provocation. Jungkook's hands rested on the steering wheel, his jaw clenched, his eyes fixed on the road ahead. You sat stiffly in the passenger seat, arms crossed, staring out the window in stubborn silence.
The tires crunched on the gravel as the car came to a stop in front of the building. You didn't wait for him to say anything -didn't even glance his way as you pushed the door open and strode toward the front entrance.
But the sound of his footsteps trailing behind you, steady and deliberate, made your pulse quicken.
You barely made it inside when Jungkook's voice cut through the silence.
"Care to explain what that little stunt at the party was all about?" his tone was deceptively calm, but the underlying tension was unmistakable.
You spun around, glaring at him. "Are you seriously accusing me of something after what you pulled tonight? Flirting with her right in front of me?"
Jungkook smirked, stepping closer. "You noticed."
"Of course I noticed!" you snapped, your voice rising. "You made sure I would."
He shrugged, his eyes gleaming with something dangerous. "Maybe. But you didn't have to leave the party like that, running off again like you always do. It's getting old, Y/n."
"Maybe it's because I can't stand being around you," you shot back, your voice trembling slightly with the force of your anger. "Did you think of that?"
Jungkook tilted his head, studying you. "No," he said quietly, stepping even closer until there was barely any space between you. "I think you left because it bothered you. Because for once, you didn't have control, and it drove you crazy."
Your breath hitched, but you refused to back down. "You think too highly of yourself."
"Do I?" his voice was a whisper now, low and deliberate, each word wrapping around you like a challenge. "Then why are you shaking?"
You hated him for being right. Hated how easily he could strip away every layer of defense you had built.
"I'm not..."
"You are," he interrupted, his hand brushing a stray strand of hair from your face. "And it's not because you're angry. It's because you feel something."
You opened your mouth to protest, but no words came out.
His eyes dropped to your lips for the briefest moment before locking onto yours again. "Tell me I'm wrong, and I'll back off," he said softly. "Tell me you don't feel anything, and I'll stop."
You stared at him, your heart pounding so hard it was almost painful.
But you couldn't say it.
The words wouldn't come.
Jungkook's smile was slow and triumphant. "That's what I thought."
He turned and walked away, leaving you standing there, breathless and furious, your skin still burning from his touch.
"You're insufferable," you called after him, but your voice wavered, the heat of your frustration blending with something far more dangerous.
Jungkook stopped mid-step, his back still to you. For a split second, you thought he'd ignore you, that he'd let you stew in your own whirlwind of emotions.
But then he turned, slow and deliberate, his dark eyes locking onto yours like a predator sizing up its prey. His steps were measured, each one bringing him closer, the air between you thick with electricity.
"You know what's really insufferable?" his voice was low, almost a growl. "The way you keep running. The way you keep fighting me when we both know exactly how this will end."
Your breath caught in your throat as he came to a stop just inches from you, his body radiating warmth, his presence overwhelming.
"I'm not running," you said, though it sounded more like a whisper than the firm declaration you intended.
His hand reached out, fingers brushing against your jaw, tilting your face up toward him. His touch was light, almost teasing, but it sent a jolt of heat racing through you.
The space between you disappeared in a heartbeat. His lips crashed against yours, and the world seemed to tilt on its axis. The kiss was anything but gentle -wild, desperate, and filled with every bit of frustration and desire that had built up between you.
Your hands found their way to his chest, clutching the fabric of his shirt as if it were the only thing grounding you. His arms wrapped around you, pulling you flush against him, his grip possessive and unrelenting.
It felt better than anything neither of you could've ever imagined. It wasn't just a kiss -it was a battle, a collision of everything you didn't say, everything you'd tried to ignore.
His lips moved against yours with an urgency that made your head spin, his teeth grazing your bottom lip before deepening the kiss. You gasped when he sank his tongue in your mouth, quickly meeting yours at the same time he cornered you on the wall next to the door, his hand gently cupping the back of your head before moving it back to your neck.
You hated him for making you feel this way, for always knowing how to push you to the edge and catch you before you fell.
But at that moment, you couldn't bring yourself to care.
When you finally pulled back, your breaths were ragged, his forehead resting against yours. His eyes searched yours, dark and unreadable, his chest rising and falling in time with yours.
"Say it," Jungkook whispered, his voice rough and breathless. "Say you don't feel anything."
You stayed silent, your lips still tingling from his kiss.
But the way your hands lingered on his chest, the way your body leaned into his, spoke louder than any words ever could.
He took your silence as the perfect answer, smirking to himself before he linked your lips together again. His fingers sank in your hair at the back of your head, twirling them on some locks to pull from them and throw your head to the side as he kissed you down your neck.
"You're absolutely everything I've ever fucking dreamed of" he heavily whispered on your skin. "I want to admire you, worship your body and make love to you so you'd meet a devotion you had never seen in your life. But hell... when you look at me that way..." his thumb brushed over your cheekbone "I want to ruin you so bad, show you no one will fuck you so good to make your ears beep so loud you won't be hearing your own pleas when you ask me to stop".
Your kiss grew more passionate, your breaths coming in ragged gasps, when he kissed you again. His hands began to wander, tracing the curve of your back, the swell of your hips. You could feel the hardness of his body against yours, and it sent a thrill through you, craving for something you didn't know you were desperate for. You moaned softly into his mouth, pressing yourself against him, at the same time his hands held your hips to keep your body glued to him.
Jungkook broke the kiss, his lips trailing down your neck again, nipping and sucking at the sensitive skin. You arched my back, a soft sigh escaping your lips, when his fingers brushed against the little skin that was shown off through the cleavage of your dress. It frustrated you, but it also felt so good the way your body responded to his touch without a resistance, your nipples hardening against the fabric of your bra, your entrance clenching around nothing as you kept waiting to feel him inside you.
When he looked down at you once again, his hands moved down to the zip of your dress, his thumb brushing on your skin while his other fingers slid the material down. He didn't need to ask you, he didn't need to tell you, you helped him take off your dress.
His eyes darkened as he took in the sight of you, his breath hitching. You were definitely better than he could've ever imagined. No light pajamas would ever compare to the vision in front of him.
You reached for the hem of his black shirt, pulling from the buttons to reveal his toned chest. Jungkook had to hold back the growl in his throat when you ran your fingers over the muscles, feeling the heat of his skin, making him sure your fingerprints were burning every inch you were moving through.
He wasn't going to let you take control so easily though.
He lowered his head all of a sudden, capturing one of your nipples in his mouth through the lace of your bra. You gasped, your hands fisting in his hair as a way to control your own self. He teased and suckled, his other hand cupping your breast before he dragged his fingers down with the fabric, exposing the flesh, his thumb rubbing against your nipple before he pinched it with his index. You could feel the wetness pooling between your legs, your body aching for more.
Jungkook slipped the straps of your bra off your shoulders, letting it fall to the floor. He took his time, exploring every inch of your body with his mouth and hands. He made you squirm beneath him, he filled your head with pleas you never thought would ever be aimed at him, your body was on fire for him.
You reached for his belt, unbuckling it slowly. He lifted his hips to help you, his jeans and boxers coming off in one swift motion. You looked down at him, your eyes widening at the sight of his hard length. He was thick and long, the tip glistening with pre-cum. You licked your lips when a sudden urge to taste him overwhelmed you. Was it how sexy he actually was? Or how bad you wanted him to beg for you and finally accept you were in control? Maybe both?
You leaned down on your knees, not wasting a moment before taking him into your mouth. He groaned, his hands tangling in your hair as your tongue swirled around him. You sucked and licked, your head bobbing up and down at a tortuous speed. You could feel him getting harder, his hips thrusting gently. You took him deeper when he pushed you lower, your nose brushing against his skin to look up to him.
And hell, if that image wasn't the best sight ever...
He pulled you up with one swift motion, your lips still parted to the size of his length when he crashed his lips against yours again. Your back slammed against the door, and your head banged against it the moment he pulled your panties down and slid two fingers in you. His thumb brushed over your clit gently, slowly, which was opposite to the way his curved digits moved and rubbed against your walls.
He earned another moan from you, and his cock twitched in the air against your body once more.
"Who do you belong to, Y/n? Who owns you now?" his voice was thick and raspy as he whispered. His voice was a mix of cockiness and need to prove you always belonged to him.
The moment you tried to move your head forward to rest on his shoulder, his fingers wrapped around your throat and stuck your head against the wood to keep your eyes fixed on him.
You didn't know what to do with your arms, how to keep yourself on your feet, but you did know you had to keep your eyes fixed on him.
"My love" he almost sang when he felt the way your walls clenched around him and your clit throbbing "I've only been yours" his digits squeezed your throat tighter, unaware of how that dragged you closer to your orgasm.
Your body squirmed and folded under his grip when that hurricane hit you, yet he didn't stop. His movements were more delicate and slower, but he fingered you through your orgasm until he felt your breathing settling again.
Your lips were parted when his wet fingers slid through them, and you blindly obeyed, closing your mouth around his digits to lick every drop of his work of art. Jungkook barely gave you time to let go of them before his lips crashed against yours again, his tongue looking out for yours to taste you directly on it.
You were so addictive.
Jungkook picked you up effortlessly, humming at your legs wrapping around his waist, as he made his way to his bedroom.
When he let you down on his mattress, he couldn't help but admire the way your naked skin stood out so clearly while lying over his sheets, dying to twirl his fingers on those locks spread over his pillow. You brought in him a feral attitude he didn't know was so strong.
You looked up to him, eager for what was to come, your body ready to jump as he kneeled on the bed and crawled to you. His hands parted your legs easily, resting your calves on his thighs when he redirected his length to you.
He rubbed the head of his cock against your clit, making your moan. "You're so wet," he whispered, his voice hoarse with desire. "Will you let me fill you up? Hmm?" he looked up to you while still rubbing himself against you "Let me mark you now that you've finally accepted that you're mine".
His words, the idea, the look in his eyes... all of them influenced you to finally nod.
He slid into you slowly, his eyes locked on yours. You gasped, your body stretching to accommodate him. He felt big, bigger than you could've guessed when you took him in your mouth. You wrapped your legs around his waist, pulling him deeper, until your hips met and you both moaned with relief.
You stayed like that for a few seconds, giving the two of you time to get used to each other before he began to move, his hips thrusting against yours. The sound of your bodies coming together filled the room, your moans and gasps echoing around you. You could feel every inch of him, the sensation overwhelming.
"You feel so good," he groaned, his forehead resting against yours. "So tight and wet." he rubbed his nose on yours. "It was really worth it to wait for you".
You clung to him, your nails digging into his back. "Harder," you whispered, your body aching for more.
He obliged, his thrusts becoming faster and deeper. The bed creaked beneath you, the sound of your bodies slapping together filling the room. You could feel your orgasm building, your body tensing in anticipation.
He reached between you, his fingers finding your clit at the same time his lips found your mouth. He rubbed it in time with his thrusts, sending you spiraling over the edge. You cried out, your body convulsing around him as waves of pleasure crashed over you.
He continued to move, his own body tensing as he chased his own release. You felt him getting harder, his thrusts becoming more erratic. With a final thrust, he groaned, his body shaking as he came deep inside you, his load hitting a deep spot.
You lay there for a moment, your bodies slick with sweat, your breaths ragged. He rolled off you, pulling you into his arms. And as much as that feeling felt foreign, you didn't push it away. Instead, you snuggled closer to him.
The weeks after that night were nothing like the stormy start of your marriage. Slowly, without even realizing it, you began to lower your defenses. Jungkook softened in his own way, his sharp-edged words losing their sting, replaced by warm glances and lingering touches.
It wasn't love -at least, that's what you told yourself- but it was something dangerously close. You found comfort in his presence, in the late-night conversations you shared after you agreed on sharing bed with him, the stolen moments of laughter, and the way he made you feel like you were the only person in the world when he looked at you.
The night he was officially named the head of the company, the entire building was alive with celebration. People congratulated him left and right, raising glasses in his honor, praising his charm, his brilliance, and his unstoppable rise to power. You stood by his side, smiling softly as he greeted his investors and thanked his board.
But despite the glamour, something felt off. Jungkook was different -detached, colder than usual, like the man you first met. He didn't seem to notice your growing unease.
Later that evening, after slipping away for a moment to get some air, you made your way down a quieter hallway in the building. As you rounded a corner, voices stopped you in your tracks.
It was Jungkook's.
"You're really settling into this husband role, huh?" the voice was familiar -Eunwoo's, you realized after a second.
His tone was light and teasing, but it was what came next that made your blood run cold.
Jungkook let out a low chuckle. "Don't get carried away. This marriage means nothing. It was a deal, plain and simple. I finally got what I wanted"
There was a pause, followed by the sound of a glass clinking.
"And the rest?" Eunwoo asked, his voice taking on a more serious tone. "Sleeping with her?"
Your breath caught in your throat, your heart hammering painfully in your chest.
"That's just part of the game," Jungkook said casually, as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. "Keeping her close keeps everything in control. She's predictable now. She's exactly where I need her."
Your vision blurred, your mind racing to process what you'd just heard. Every moment you'd spent with him, every touch, every whispered word in the dark -it had all been a lie. A calculated move in a game you didn't even know you were playing.
The sound of their laughter echoed down the hallway, cutting into you like a blade.
You turned and walked away before they could notice you, your steps quick and unsteady. Your chest ached, a painful mix of anger and heartbreak constricting your lungs.
By the time you reached the main hall, the noise of the party felt like a distant hum, your surroundings spinning as you tried to catch your breath.
You thought you had started to know him. You thought maybe, just maybe, there was something real between you.
But you were wrong.
You were nothing more than a pawn in his game -a game you never agreed to play.
The rest of the night at the party, you avoided him like the plague, your attitude a huge contrast to how you behaved when the night had started. Whenever Jungkook tried to approach you, you found an excuse to step away -chatting with guests, refreshing your drink, even pretending to admire the floral arrangements like they were the most fascinating thing in the world.
"Y/n" his voice caught you off guard as you lingered near the exit, your hand brushing the stem of an untouched champagne flute. Jungkook's dark eyes studied you, his brow furrowed in concern. "What's going on? You've been distant all night."
"I'm just tired," you said flatly, forcing a tight smile. "It's been a long day."
His frown deepened, but he didn't press further. Not yet.
The ride home was quiet -tense in a way that made the air between you feel suffocating. Jungkook sat beside you, his eyes occasionally flicking toward you, as if waiting for you to explain what was wrong. But you kept your gaze fixed out the window, your thoughts swirling in chaos.
Once you were back home, you made a beeline for the stairs, wanting nothing more than to put distance between you as you closed yourself back in your room.
"Y/n" his voice was sharp now, demanding. You stopped halfway up the stairs, your hand gripping the banister tightly. "Talk to me. What's going on?"
You turned slowly, meeting his gaze. The man you had once started to trust, the one who had held you so tenderly just nights ago, now felt like a stranger.
"I want a divorce."
The words fell from your lips with a finality that hung heavy in the air.
Jungkook froze, his eyes widening for a split second before narrowing dangerously. "What did you just say?"
"You heard me," you said, your voice calm despite the storm raging inside you. "You finally got what you wanted. You're head of the company now. There's no need to keep up this farce anymore."
His jaw tightened, his hands curling into fists at his sides. "Is that what you think? That this was all just some business arrangement, and now it's over?"
"Isn't it?" you shot back, your voice rising. "You've gotten everything you wanted, Jungkook. There's no point in pretending anymore."
"You're unbelievable," he growled, stepping closer. "You want to throw everything away just like that? After everything we've been through?"
You laughed bitterly. "What exactly have we been through, Jungkook? Lies? Manipulation? This marriage was never real. It was just a means to an end for you."
His eyes darkened, his lips pressing into a thin line. "And what if it wasn't?"
You crossed your arms, refusing to let him sway you. "It doesn't matter. I'm done."
"You're not done," he said, his voice low and dangerously calm. "You don't get to decide that impulsively."
"It's not an impulse," you snapped. "This was part of our deal since the beginning. I've made up my mind."
Jungkook's eyes burned with fury, but beneath it, there was something else -something raw and unguarded. "And when exactly did you make up your mind about it, huh?" he said softly, his voice barely above a whisper.
"I think it's better for both of us," you said, ignoring the way your heart clenched at the look in his eyes.
But Jungkook wasn't having it. His hand gripped the banister beside you, his body blocking your path. "No," he said firmly. "We're not done. Not until I say we are. And you're not leaving," Jungkook said, his voice steady but barely restrained, his body now fully blocking your path. His gaze locked onto yours, fierce and unrelenting.
"Move, Jungkook," you said through gritted teeth, trying to push past him. "I'm done having this conversation."
His hand shot out, gripping your wrist -not hard, but firm enough to keep you from walking away. "No. We're going to finish this right here"
You glared at him, your pulse racing. "What's the point? You made it clear I was just a means to an end. Now that you're head of the company, what reason is there for us to stay married?"
"Because this isn't just about the company!" Jungkook snapped, his voice rising, frustration boiling over. His chest heaved with each breath, and for the first time, he looked genuinely unhinged, like he was losing control of everything he'd carefully built.
You yanked your wrist free, your eyes burning with unshed tears. "Then what is it about? What part of this marriage was real to you? Tell me!"
His silence was deafening. His jaw clenched, his eyes searching your face for something -anything. But no words came.
Your heart twisted painfully in your chest, and you laughed bitterly, shaking your head. "Exactly. You can't even answer that."
Jungkook's eyes darkened, his frustration tipping into something dangerously possessive. "You really want to know what's real?" he said, stepping closer until there was barely an inch of space between you. "You." his voice was low, his eyes burning into yours. "Every damn second with you was real"
But for some reason, those words that night felt like the most painful stab at your chest. If there was something clear to you that night, it was that Jungkook never really cared for you, but his own control over you. That idea alone made your head spin, trying to decipher if all of his words in that moment were part of the act as well.
His proximity sent a jolt of heat through you, but you refused to back down. "Words mean nothing, Jungkook. Actions do."
"Then watch me," he said, his voice barely above a whisper.
Before you could say another word, his lips crashed against yours in a kiss that stole your breath. It wasn't soft or sweet -it was raw and consuming, a war between his frustration and desire. His hand cupped the back of your neck, holding you in place as his lips moved against yours with an urgency that made your head spin.
You tried to fight it, to remind yourself of everything you'd just overheard, but your body betrayed you. Your hands gripped his shirt, pulling him closer even as your mind screamed at you to push him away.
His tongue swept across your bottom lip, coaxing a soft gasp from you, and he took the opportunity to deepen the kiss. It felt like drowning, like falling too fast and too far, and you hated how easily he could unravel you.
When he finally pulled back, your hand slapped across his face, making it turn. He stayed in that position for a few seconds, until he finally moved his head back up, his eyes searching yours, dark and unreadable. "You think I don't care?" he whispered, his voice hoarse. "You're wrong."
Your heart thundered in your chest, and for a fleeting moment, you believed him. You believed every word, every touch. But the sting of his earlier betrayal still lingered, refusing to let go.
"I can't do this," you whispered, your voice breaking. "Not like this".
Not when you couldn't trust him, or know what he was saying was real or not. Not knowing when he was playing with you or showing off his feelings.
It was too much.
Jungkook's grip on you tightened, his thumb brushing against your cheek. "Yes, you can. You're not leaving."
"I don't want to be near you" you let go of his grip once again. "You disgust me. I can't even stand being near you right now. Who knows? Maybe it had always been like that and now that the reason that kept us together is gone I can be honest with the two of us. Be honest with yourself, too".
The next afternoon, sunlight streamed through the kitchen windows, casting a warm glow across the marble countertops. You sat at the kitchen island, quietly picking at your lunch, your mind still tangled in the events of the previous night. Sleep had been elusive -every word, every touch, every kiss replaying in your head on an endless loop.
You were lost in thought when the sound of the front door slamming snapped you back to reality. Heavy footsteps echoed down the hall, growing louder until Jungkook appeared in the doorway, his expression dark and unreadable.
Without a word, he reached into his coat and pulled out a stack of papers. He strode over to you and threw them onto the counter in front of you, the crisp white pages fanning out across the surface.
Your heart stopped for a second as you glanced down at them: "Divorce Agreement". Signed.
"You wanted this, right?" Jungkook said, his voice cold and biting. "There. You've got it. Congratulations, you're free."
You looked up at him, stunned into silence, your fork frozen in mid-air. His eyes were like shards of ice, his usual warmth completely gone. He looked almost... victorious, but underneath it, you could sense something else, some of his vulnerability was still obvious in his eyes.
"Jungkook, I..."
"You don't need to say anything" he interrupted, his voice dangerously calm. "You made it clear last night that this marriage means nothing to you. So, I'm giving you what you want. No more pretending. No more games."
Your chest tightened, and for a moment, you struggled to find your voice. "You think this is what I want?" you finally said, your voice trembling.
"Isn't it?" he shot back, his eyes narrowing. "You were the one who asked for the divorce. I'm just making it easy for you."
You swallowed hard, your throat burning. "You're unbelievable."
Jungkook crossed his arms, leaning against the counter with a bitter smirk. "No, what's unbelievable is that you think you can just walk in and out of my life whenever you want. You're the one who pushed me away, Y/n. I'm just giving you the freedom you begged for."
"Don't you dare act like you're some kind of victim here," you snapped, rising to your feet. "You lied to me, acting like you cared, like you were into me. You said you were after me long before all of this happened... Bullshit! You used me for your business, just like you admitted to Eunwoo. But I was dumb as fuck to believe we were more than that".
His eyes flickered with something -surprise, perhaps, or regret- but it was gone in an instant, replaced by that same infuriating calm. "So, that's what this is about," he muttered. "You overhear one conversation, twist it in your head, and suddenly I'm the villain?"
"I didn't twist anything," you said, your voice shaking. "I heard exactly what you said. That I'm just a pawn in your game. That sleeping with me was just part of your plan. Hope you enjoyed the bit of control you had while you fucked me."
Jungkook laughed, but it was a hollow, bitter sound. "You really think that's all you are to me?"
"Isn't it?" you challenged, your heart pounding so hard it hurt. "Tell me I'm wrong."
The silence that followed was deafening. His jaw clenched, his eyes searching yours for a long, agonizing moment. Then, slowly, he stepped back, his expression hardening.
"You already made up your mind," he said quietly. "So what's the point in convincing you otherwise?"
Your breath caught in your throat, tears stinging your eyes. You wanted to scream at him, to demand answers, to tear down the walls he had so carefully built around himself in less than a few days. But instead, all you could do was stand there, your heart breaking all over again.
"Fine," you whispered, your voice barely audible. "If that's how you want it."
He nodded once, his face devoid of emotion. "It's what you wanted, remember?"
Annoyed, you reached for a pen, signing up the papers next to him, slamming it against the table before getting up and walking away, leaving the papers on the counter in front of him. The sound of the front door slamming shut echoed through the house, and for the first time since the start of your marriage, you felt truly alone.

[Image IDs: Text reading: I have known Elon Musk at a deep level for 14 years, well before he was a household name. We used to text frequently. He would come to by birthday party and invite me to his parties. He would tell me everything about his women problems. As sons of highly accomplished men who married venuses, were violent and lost their fortunes, and who were bullied in high school, we had a number of things in common most people cannot relate to. We would hang out together late in Los Angeles. He would visit my San Diego lab. He invested in my company.
Elon is not a Nazi, per se.
He is something much better, or much worse, depending on how you look at it.
Nazis believed that an entire race was above everyone else.
Elon believes he is above everyone else. He used to think he worked on the most important problems. When I met him, he did not presume to be a technical personâhe would be the first to say that he lacked the expertise to understand certain data. That happened later. Now, he acts as if he has all the solutions.
All his talk about getting to Mars to "maintain the light of consciousness" or about "free speech absolution" is actually BS Elon knowingly feeds people to manipulate them. Everything Elon does is about acquiring and consolidating power. That is why he likes far right parties, because they are easier to control. That is also why he gave himself $56 Billion which could have gone to the people actually doing the work and innovations he is taking credit for at Tesla (the reason he does not do patents is because he would not be listed as an inventor as putting a fake inventor on a patent would kill it and moreover it would reveal the superstars behind the work). His lust for power is also why he did xAI and Neuralink, to attempt to compete with OpenAI and NeuroVigil, respectively, despite being affiliated with them. Unlike Tesla and Twitter, he was unable to conquer those companies and tried to create rivals. I fired him with cause in December 2021 when he tried to undermine NV.
Elon did two Nazi salutes.
He did them for five main reasons:
He was concerned that the "Nazi wing" of the MAGA movement, under the influence of Steve Bannon, would drive him away from Trump, somewhere in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building, rather than in the West Wing which is where he wants to be. He was already feeling raw over the fact that Trump did not follow his recommendation for Treasury Secretary and that the Senate also did not pick his first choice.
He was upset that he had had to go to Israel and Auschwitz to make up for agreeing with a Nazi sympathizer online and wanted to reclaim his "power" just like when he told advertisers to "go fuck yourself". This has nothing to do with Asperger's;
There are some Jews he actually hates: Sam Altman is among them;
He enjoys a good thrill and knew exactly what he was doing;
His narcissistic self was hoping the audience would reflect the abject gesture back to him, thereby showing complete control and dominion over it, and increasing his leverage over Trump. That did not happen
Bottom line: Elon is not a Nazi but he did give two Nazi Salutes, which is completely unacceptable.
N.B. For the few whining about my post "sans connaissance the cause" and either trembling about my having shattered their illusions about their cult leader or thinking I am defending Elon:
I. My point is that he is transactional rather than ideological;
II. That being said, I am not defending him or his actions, just explaining them and confirming that he did, in fact, do two Nazi Salutes if anyone had doubts or believed the doctored footage of Taylor Swift doing the same thing to normalize what Elon did;
III. At some point, it matters to a few people if one is a Nazi or if one acts like one. My father was a Holocaust Survivor. 32 out of 35 of his family members were murdered by the Nazis. My mother's grandparents were murdered in Auschwitz;
IV. After Elon tried to manipulate NV's stock in 2021, I fired him with cause, and he was unable to exercise his stock options. In the aftermath of the Nazi Salutes, I told both him and his wealth manager to fuck off. Any remaining friendship between us ended with the Nazi Salutes. He is blocked on my end and I am pretty sure I am blocked on his;
V. I did not share what he told me in confidence. I just happened to know him extremely well, the person, the aspirations and the Musk Mask;
VI. I know who I am, have no desire to be famous and give exceedingly few media interviews. I prefer to work in obscurity and let the work speak for itself. I am certainly not envious and would definitely not want Elon's life, including living in a bubble and having to make one outlandish claim after another and manipulate the public, elections and governments to shore up my stock and prevent the bubble from bursting. Unlike Elon, I am an actual scientist and inventor and I am not pretending to be someone I am not like a fellow who got his BA in Econ at 26 all of a sudden pretending to be an expert in mechanical engineering, chemistry, rocket science, neuroscience and AI and keeping the people actually doing the work hidden and paying people to play online games in his name to appear smart and feed his so-called "Supergenius" Personality Cultâthe "Imperator" has no clothes, and he knows it. I am just very disappointed in what happened to someone I had a lot of deep admiration for and the first person to found out about my concerns about his behavior was always him;
VII. He is the one who betrayed a number of his friends, including Sergey, and, given his actions, many other people who believed him and believed in him. I have no sympathy for this behavior, and at some point, after having repeatedly confronted it in private, I believe the ethical thing to do is to speak out, forcefully and unapologetically, whatever the risks may be, so as to not be part of the timid flock remaining silent while evil is being done, including propping up far right governments around the world in part to deregulate his companies and become the first trillionaire and otherwise to "rule the planet"âhe knows Mars won't be terraformed in his lifetime and he really wants his planet. No joke... Ethics matter. People matter. The truth matters.
I took down Descartes (through the Cambridge Declaration on Consciousness) and I am definitely not afraid of a so-called inventor whose greatest invention in his image.
I will not be silent. You should not be either. I am a sovereign individual, and so are you. I stoop up to bullies, and am stepping out of the dark to do it again.
Stop working for him and being exploited by him. Sell your Tesla and dump your Tesla stock. Nikola Tesla was a great, creative and courageous man who led with ethics and by example and he would not have wanted for his good name to have been used by him and would agree with my principled stance. Sign off of "X" which is boosting far right propaganda, and of your Starlink as well. He is a complete cunt who doesn't give a shit about youâonly about power. Just ask Reid Hoffman. He only wants to control, dominate and use youâdon't let him and cut him and his business out of your and your loved ones' lives entirely. Remember he is a total miserable self-loathing poser, and unless you are too, he will be much more afraid of you than you should ever be of him.
He will probably come after me, and I am completely fine with that. I am a self-made multibillionaire with an armada of lawyersâliterallyâand most importantly, I know who I am and who I stand for, the people and their freedoms, whatever happens. He can send his dumb Proud Boys and Oath Keepers after me and they will be butchered on sight. Either way, I would rather die with honor than live as a coward.
"Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented."âElie Wiesel, Holocaust Survivor and Nobel Peace Prize laureate /End IDs]

boyfriend (aka insecure reader x bsf jason)
civil!reader x jason todd
prompt: where the reader has a terrible boyfriend and always ends up crying about him to her best friend, jason todd, or, where jason finally gets tired of seeing his girl being mistreated and does something about it.
a/n: i know i kinda say pretty much the same thing here, but these two are really cute, okay? i was like giggling and kicking while writing it, hope you guys love it. english is not my first language, also, feel free to send requests!
At 8pm, on your birthday, the day that was supposed to be about you, for you, where you were supposed to be going out and partying, you were curled up on the couch, wearing a sweatshirt three sizes too big for you, after the worst fight you've ever had with your boyfriend.
Your hand wrapped around your phone as you dialed the number of the only person who would understand you, who always did, your best friend, Jason. Your voice sounded tearful on the phone as you almost begged him to come to your apartment, you didn't have to say much, or wait long, before he shows up at your frontdoor.
As you wiped the tears away from your face and dragged yourself to open the door, trying to force a smile on your face, as he pulled you into his arms, before you could even say anything. "You need to break up with that asshole, you know that, right?"
Your voice sounds like a whisper against his chest as he softly guides you into the apartment, with you still clinging to him. "He already did it, he broke up with me, because he's seeing someone else" Your voice barely comes out, the tears running down your pretty face again, and Jason feels his blood boil, as if that asshole wasn't enough of a jerk to you.
With a quick look around the apartment he was able to catch the signs from the fight, the shards of glass on the floor, the broken flower vase, besides the complete mess that the apartment was in, your boyfriend was never exactly a controlled person.
"He doesn't deserve you, he never did," he whispers against her hair as he sits the two of you on the couch, which by some miracle, was in perfect condition, and he hears her whimper against him. "What if the problem is me? What if I wasn't interesting enough, or pretty enough-" His eyebrows furrowed together in the purest expression of disbelief before he shuts you up. "Honey, I'm sorry, but shut up, are you even listening to yourself? You're doubting of the best person I know for some asshole who didn't know how to value the fucking treasure he had."
Your eyes, shining with tears, stare into his, without any words to express how you felt. Jason hated your boyfriend, he always did, and with a good reason, he always treated you as if you were less than him, and you accepted it, because he made you believe that you were less.
Your eyebrows furrowed in doubt slightly, your body moving away from his a little so you could finally look properly at him.
"I would never leave you crying alone on your own birthday for the God's sake, or leave you alond at a party at two am for someone else to take you home." He grabs your hands, an almost pleading look in his eyes, and there it was, you finally understand, all the hate directed at your boyfriend, is because he knew exactly how you should be treated, he knew exactly how to treat you.
Your eyes were shining with something different than tears this time, affection, as your head slowly tilted to the side, absorbing the information. "I could be a better boyfriend than him, come on, I doubt that idiot knows that you only drink tea with cream and a ton of sugar? That you bake cookies to the children at the shelter, so they can feel loved?" He shook his head, he wouldn't let the guy who left you crying on your own birthday after telling you he cheated on you go unpunished, but that was a story for later, for when you understand that everything you ever needed was right there.
"Shut up, I love you," she says with the most genuine, silly smile she had in weeks, maybe months, before wrapping her arms around his neck, pulling him in for a heated, well-deserved kiss.
"I've loved you since the day I saw you eating snow when you were six, Jay, I guess I just never thought it was mutual." He smirked, rolling his eyes, his arms keeping her wrapped around him. "I saw you having a crush on Edward Cullen when you were thirteen, do you really think I would still be here if I didn't love you?" You laughed, slapping his arm playfully.
"Shut up and kiss me."

¤đ yeniâs note .á this is the one that i think was supposed to be a yandere but the person didnât specify
you really couldnât see the appeal; all he did was sleep around with other girls, party and never show up to class â so why couldnât you stop staring at him?
âmy god heâs so annoying.â chenle turned around to see who you were staring at. âand how is she even falling for that?â you watched donghyuck flirt with the 3rd girl this morning , the girls eyes shimmered with hope and joy. if only she knew sheâd be severely disappointed in the end. âthis is your third complaint about him today.â jeno smirked. âweâll need to get a jar , every complaint about hyuck youâll have to put a dollar in the jar.â
âhey maybe we will be able to afford a new game for the frat after all , give it a week.â jaemin teased , you scoffed. âwith the way she talks about him , maybe will have a little left over.â the table laughed , while you just rolled your eyes. âhaha very funny , im leaving.â you stood up ready to walk away when someone blocked your path. âlee donghyuck.â you sighed , the boy smiled in front of you. âhey my wife to be.â he smirked. âwhere you going i just got here.â he said.
âreally because we all saw you flirting with that girl over there.â you didnât even mean to sound jealous , but it came off like that. âyou jealous?â he said , you stepped to the right , but he followed blocking you once again. âcome on you know youâre the one that i want.â and he was serious about that , but to you it meant nothing. âyeah , how many people did you say that to today?â you pushed him out the way , walking away to your next class.
he waited until you were out of sight and earshot before he sat in the seat slumped. âand whatâs got you upset today?â marked smirked , the guys groaning knowing the rant he was about to go on. âyou got him started.â he sighed dramatically. âi just donât get it , why wonât she take me seriously.â his friends shook their heads. âhow many times do i have to confess for her to get it.â he said. âfor starters donât flirt with other girls in front of her.â renjun said. âbut i wasnât flirting , i only asked where she got her necklace from.â he said. âi wanted to buy it for yn , she said a month ago her favorite necklace broke and i wanted to get her a new one , that looked like one she would like.â he said.
âyeah but that girl looked like she wanted to pull your pants down and suck your dick in front of everyone and with how friendly you were, it looked like youâd let her.â chenle said. âthis is driving me insane.â he tugged at his hair. he couldnât get you out of his head, you consumed him entirely even though you barely gave him the time of day. he even enjoyed when you would insult him because at least you were talking to him. âyou guys donât understand.â he sighed. âyouâve explained it , many many many times.â jisung looked up from his phone. âwe understand.â
âwhere did obsession even come from , sheâs never given you any reason for you to like her like that.â jaemin said. âi donât know , itâs just that every single thing she does makes me crazy, even now i feel sick that she isnât here , i miss her and she doesnât even know it.â his friends watch him pour his heart out. âi think i love her.â
âwhoa calm down.â mark said. âat least get her to like you before you start talking fucking wedding bells , children and shit.â the table chuckled , but he was serious. âhow can i get her to like me?â he said. âarenât you supposed to be good at this?â chenle said. âarenât you like known for getting girls out of their panties , this should be a walk in the park for you.â haechan knew his reputation ; and he wonât deny his freshman year he really was like that â but then he met you , and everything changed , he no longer wanted to be a player , he wanted you and only you⌠turns out his past did come with consequences , you hated him; you wanted nothing to do with him despite him telling you that he changed , you refused to believe him.
âthatâs the thing , i donât want to get her out her panties.â they all looked at him. âwell not just that , i want to be her , go on dates , take her to the movies , hell sit in the park and have a picnic.â he said. âyeah but you also want to fuck her in these exact places and sheâs aware of that.â jeno said. âitâs your approach bro.â mark said. âyn doesnât want to know what youâd do to her if you were alone in her bedroom.â he said. âsheâs probably heard that 1000 times already.â he doubled over with a groan , he couldnât fathom another guy talking to you. âinstead of approaching her like a jerk , ask her on a real date first; or at least say hello when you see her and not and this is a quote from you âhello mother of all 6 of my future kids.â
he thought about all the advice that he was giving; as he waited outside of your class. âdonât say anything stupid.â he said to himself , walking back and forth. ânothing stupid.â he said. âoh that must be hard for you.â he spun around upon hearing your voice. âyouâre constantly saying stupid stuff.â he smiled , your upper lip curled up in annoyance. âhi yn.â he said. âwhat do you want lee donghyuck?â you walked , he followed behind you. âwell to ask you a question.â he said. âno.â you said , he pouted , making you feel bad. âfine what is it , i have a class.â you said. âi can walk you.â he said walking next to you. âis that what you wanted? thatâs not a question.â
âthatâs not the question yn , please listen to me for a second.â he pleased. âwhat is is donghyuck?â you said. âlet me take you out,â he said. âwhat?â you stopped. âlet me take you out.â he repeated. âon a date , a real date.â he said. âand why would i do that?â you said. âbecause im trying to show you that im not a heartless bastard with no home training.â you stifled a laugh. âdid you laugh?â he said. âno.â you deadpanned. âyes you did , come on it was funny , you can laugh.â he said. âhaechan â oh my god , you called me haechan.â you stared at him. âi have class donghyuck.â you stopped outside the classroom. âthen say yes; weâll go see a movie.â he explained. âwe can even go get ice cream , brownie your favorite.â
âhow did you know that?â you asked. âjust say yes , before youâre late.â he said. you thought about it for a second , no sexual jokes , no condescending smirk on his face , although sexy made you want to slap him â he was serious. âare you fucking with me?â you said. âyn i wouldnât have walked you all the way to class if i wasnât serious , my class is on the other side of campus.â he said. âim waiting and you know what i think i can miss a day of class , this class seems fun.â he tried to walk past you , but you stopped him. , hand on his chest. âno donât do that.â you said. âi will go; so go back to your class , lord knows you shouldnât miss a day.â he smiled , his hand coming to your wrist. âreally?â he said. âi will meet you at the movie theatre , now go.â
he waited for you to go into the class; before bursting out in a fit of excitement; you said yes , he couldnât believe you said yes.
âi canât believe i said yes.â you slammed your vanity. âwhy did i say yes?â you complained to your friend on the phone. âbecause maybe you really like him and you let his reputation from freshman year determine your entire perception of him.â chenle said. âstill , we both saw him flirting with those girls.â you said. âi wonât be another one of sexual conquests.â chenle spoke up. âbe realistic who didnât do dumb shit during freshman year? you ran topless down a busy street drunk and has haechan judged you for that?â he said. âno in fact he was the one who chased you down the street, shirt in hand , his shirt because yours was floating in our pool.â you cringed, remembering jeno and haechan dragging you back to the dorms as you screamed. âi genuinely believe that was the first time he actually realized he fell deep for you and not because you were naked and in his arms.â
âto be honest haechan hasnât been with anyone since freshman year , im pretty sure he fucked himself into not wanting anything , but not only that , but because he quite literally doesnât want anyone else but you.â chenle said. âand those girls , we know heâs friendly even the teachers think heâs flirting with them.â he said. âbut he was touching her.â you said. âbecause she had a necklace that he wanted to buy you , he remembered you broke yours and he wanted to get you a new one.â he let it spill out; should he have? no , but with the new look on your face he knew haechan would thank him in the end. âi only mention that once , months ago.â
âand he remembered; just how he remembers everything you say , down to the name of your dead hamster you had when you were three.â chenle said. âi genuinely donât think you understand how much he likes you.â he said. âand i think youâre letting your soulmate slip right from your hands.â
as you stood staring at the movie posters; everything was swirling around in your head as you tried to make sense of it⌠did haechan really feel this deeply for you? youâve treated him so horribly for all these years for some stupid things he did when he was fresh out of highschool; and now chenle sprung this on you⌠you felt like shit. you hadnât even realized that haechan was late. âyn!â
you were gonna kill him; youâll never give him the time of day again, youâre gonna think heâs fucking with you. âcalm down man , how were you supposed to know your car was gonna break down.â mark sat in the drivers seat. âcall her , im sure sheâll understand.â he said. âshe probably already went home , and blocked me.â he said. âwell weâre here , so get out and hope sheâs still there.â he hopped out of the car , running into the movie theaters. âplease still be here.â
he saw you and let out a sigh of relief; your back was turned but he could tell it was you. he could pick you out of a lineup with his eyes closed; just by your scent alone. âyn!â he ran over to you. âim so sorry i didnât hmph.â was he dreaming? this was a sick joke his mind was play; he was dreaming , you actually werenât here and this was a dream he was having. he had to be â because there was no way you were hugging him right now. âum not that i donât like this ⌠but what is this?â
you were silent; no you sniffled. why are you sniffling? are you sick? âyn , this is weird, whatâs wrong?â he pulled away; you were too ashamed to look him in the eyes. âplease look at me , im sorry for being late.â he said. âwhy are you crying?â he said, worried even more now. âwhat happened did someone do something?â you shook your head. âthen tell me please im dying.â he said, which made you laugh through your tears. âim so stupid.â you said. âplease iâve met stupid girls and you definitely arenât one of them.â he said. âoh no that came out wrong i promise i haven't met any girls , itâs just me saying that i think youâre very smart.â he panicked. âplease just tell me why youâre crying.â he said.
âbecause iâve been so mean to you an-and all youâve tried to do is be nice to me and i judged you for things you did years; even though youâve never judged me even when i ran down the street toplessâ hey!â his hand came up to your mouth. ânot everyone needs to hear that.â he said. âwhere is all this coming from?â he said. âim just sorry for everything.â you said. âevery single thing iâve done wrong.â his first instinct was to grab your face. ânothing could make me hate you okay?â he said. âi havenât done much to prove how much i really like you; only how much i wanted to sleep with you â wait not that i want to sleep with you, why am i so bad at this all of a sudden.â he said. âletâs just go see the movie okay, we can get ice cream after and talk alright?â you nodded , he took his hands off your cheeks , taking one of your hands into his. âcome on wipe those tears off your pretty face.â
haechan could barely watch the movie with the way your hand was gripping his. you wouldnât let him go , and he wouldnât have it any other way â if this was a dream he was scheduling an appointment for a therapist when he woke up because he would never mentally recover from this if it was fake. âwhy do you keep staring at my home like that?â you whispered with a smile. âbecause im trying to see if im dreaming or not,â he said. âyouâre holding my hand.â he said. âyouâre actually holding my hand.â he smiled. âyouâre on a date with me, and youâre holding my hand.â he couldâve burst into excitement if he wasnât in a quiet movie theater. âyouâre not dreaming.â you kissed his knuckles and he almost passed out. âsee.â
âmaybe i still donât believe it.â you giggled , before you reached over kissing his cheek, leaving the boy shocked. âdo you believe it now?â he nodded. âgood because i donât think there was anything else I couldâve done here in public that wouldâve made you believe me.â you said. âwell maybe if there was less people.â did you really say that? what did you mean by that? now he was thinking about other stuff. would you have touched him? in public?
the movie soon ended and you still hadnât let him go even as you made your way to the ice cream shop to get your ice cream. âsorry weâre out of brownie ice cream.â the worker said. âreally?â you frowned. âmaybe you can get chocolate?â he said. âitâs not the same.â you said. âwell we can stop to get some food since you didnât eat anything at the movies.â he said , he really didnât want this date to end. âor..â you started. âwe can go to my apartment and i can make ramen.â your house? you were letting him in your house? âwhat do you say?â why would he fucking say no? âokay.â
the walk back to your apartment wasnât that long , nether was the elevator to your apartment; but he soon found himself in your space, surrounded by your scent and all things you â this was his heaven. âhaechan.â he heard you call him , which made him turn to you. he couldnât even react before your lips were on his. your kiss was something he dreamt about often , your soft pillowy lips on his; your fingers working their way through his neck hairs. âwa-wait yn.â he pulled away before he got carried away. âas much as i love this , i definitely donât want to do this just cause you feel bad.â he said. âno-no i want this.â you said. âi want this so much.â you said , and that was all the confirmation he needed. âthen let me do it.â
he picked you up; taking you to your room , kicking the door open. âwanâ you go sit on my face.â he said. âfuck i need you to sit on my face.â he groaned , laying back. âi donât want to hurt you.â he didnât care; dying with his face stuffed between your legs seemed like his dream way to go. âno , no you wonât please.â he begged , pulling your skirt down , along with your panties , your wet was right there , he could smell your scent as you dripped for him. âplease sit , please im gonna die if you donât.â he grabbed your thighs desperately. âsit please.â you finally gave in , lowering yourself down , you could feel his tongue. âoh-oh hyuck.â you moaned , yelping as he impatiently pulled you down. âfuck!â
he wasted no time licking your folds , holding you by your waist like youâd run away if he didnât , your hips involuntarily moved against his tongue , your hands coming to hair pulling at it. âfuck keep going.â you moaned. âjust like that , im gonna cum!â he sucked on your clit , sending you over the edge. âoh my god!â you gasped your legs began to shake. âim cumming!â
the boy below opened his mouth , allowing your juices to flow straight into his mouth; drinking everything you had to give him; his cock begging to be freed and touched â tasting you wasnât enough, he needed to be inside you. âhyuck i canât - too much!â he finally let up on your poor cunt , but that doesnât mean he was done. âi need you.â he moaned, kissing your thighs. âyou have me.â you said , he flipped you over. âI need to fuck you , pl-please.â he pressed himself against your bare lower half. âpl-please hyuck.â you reached down , pulling at his pants , undoing the buttons. âplease fuck me.â
he stood up quickly; not wanting to be away from you much longer , pulling his pants down , along with his underwear. âi-i donât have a condom.â he said , you didnât care right now. âare you clean?â he nodded , his aching cock standing in desperate need of attention. âthen please touch me , please.â
he climbed back in between your legs. âfuck.â he cursed the moment his hip touched your soaking cunt. he knew he wasnât gonna last long , but he knew he didnât want to let you down. âIt-itâs okay.â you touched his cock , slowly guiding it inside you. âoh fuck youâre so tight.â he had to compose himself. âfu-fuck i donât think Iâm gonna last.â he fully stilled himself inside you. âcan i move?â you moaned. âplease move hyuck.â
he grabbed your waist; moving. âoh-oh fuck youâre so big.â he groaned. âfaster hyuck.â you whined. âplease go faster.â he hissed as he picked up the pace , feeling you clench around him repeatedly. âfuck if you keep doing that , im gonna cum.â he said , his movements still remaining strong and fluid as his tip kissed your cervix over and over. âfuck im cumming.â he groaned ,his cock twitching inside you before he shot his load inside of you. âoh fuck im sorry.â he pulled out , finishing on your sensitive cunt. âsh-shit itâs okay.â
he definitely wasnât about to leave you hanging; pushing his sensitive cock right back inside you. âfuck hyuck!â you screamed , your neighbors surely wonât be happy with you in the morning. âwanna make you cum.â he said , his hands planted on both sides of your head. âfuck hyuck keep going.â you moaned. âright there , im gonna cum.â he kept up his pace , soon your eyes rolled to the back of your head as you came. âoh fuck!â he felt himself cumming a second time , this time he didnât pull out.
âi didnât pull out.â he said breathlessly. âth-thatâs okay.â you said. âwe-we need to clean up.â you sat up , but he wasnât done , now that he finally got a taste of you , he wanted it again , and again and again. ânot yet.â he kissed your stomach. âi wanna do it.â your eyes followed his dark ones as he kissed and bit at your thighs. âwanna clean your pretty pussy myself.â
it was truly gonna be a long night for your neighbors.
âthere he is at it again.â jaemin looked past you , making you turn around. âhe canât read a single room can it.â you watch the girls face turn beat red as the boy in front of him start a conversation. âshe canât either , can she not tell heâs not interested.â chenle spoke up. âexcuse me.â you got up , the table was confused. âclass?â jeno smirked , you shook your head. âno.â you walked away , straight over to the boy. âoh hi , you see these earrings?â you nodded at the clueless boy in front of you. âour 5 months is coming up , wouldnât you like these?â the girl finally got the hint walking away. âwait what brand are they?â you dragged him back to the table. âIâll find you a better pair.â
âand he still canât see why she hated him?â jisung said. âI donât need anymore jewelry ; weâve been together 5 months and youâve given me way more jewelry than iâll ever need.â you said. âyouâre right , iâll just get you flowers.â you smiled , giving him a cheek kiss. âif thatâs what you want hyuck.â he still stared at you with the same love sick look.
he was clueless and couldnât read the room at all ; but he was yours⌠and you wouldnât change him for the world.

In the Quiet Moments - Drew Starkey.
She hadnât realized how long it had been until she saw the calendar on the wall. Almost a month. A whole month since sheâd felt Drewâs touch, heard his laughter echoing in her apartment, or seen the warmth in his eyes when he looked at her. The constant whirlwind of interviews, photo shoots, and events had swept him away, and she tried to convince herself she understood. His career was booming, and the attention he was getting was deservedâhe worked so hard for it. But that didnât make it any easier.
She sat on the couch, scrolling through her phone, but the truth weighed heavily on her heart. She was fine on the surface, managing work and life just as she always had, but underneath it all, there was this ache. A quiet loneliness that had crept in, something she hadnât felt before when he was around. Drew had always been a constantâhis presence, his voice, his smile. Now, it felt like he was slipping through her fingers, no matter how hard she tried to hold on.
She knew the game. She knew how it worked. Drew wasnât the first person in her life to put their career first. But with him, it felt different. There was something unspoken between them, a bond that had never been just casual, even though they werenât officially anything. Yet.
The pain of the distance between them didnât come from lack of affection; it came from the lack of him. She missed the way heâd brush her hair from her face as they laughed about some silly thing, or how heâd reach for her hand during those quiet moments when they didnât need to say anything at all.
Her phone buzzed with another notification, but she ignored it. The screen blurred as her thoughts wandered to him again. To Drew. She hadnât heard from him in a few daysâno surprise, given the hectic schedule heâd been navigating. But as much as she tried to bury the feeling, a part of her longed to hear his voice. To be in his arms. Just to know he was still there.
She took a deep breath, convincing herself she was being ridiculous. He had his reasons. She would wait. She could be patient.
But then, the sound of the doorbell rang out, sharp and unexpected.
Her heart skipped a beat.
She wasnât expecting anyone, not at this hour. Hesitantly, she stood up, her feet carrying her to the door. She opened it without thinking twice, and there he wasâDrew. Standing on her doorstep, his face softer than usual, eyes slightly downcast. He wore that familiar pouty face, the one he always did when he knew heâd messed up or let something slide. But now, it felt different. It was almost as if he was apologizing without saying a word.
She didnât speak. She didnât need to. She just moved aside, silently inviting him in. Drew stepped over the threshold, but neither of them said anything at first.
The silence in the room felt heavy, thick with all the things they hadnât said, all the emotions theyâd kept buried. Drew shifted, running a hand through his hair, his gaze lingering on the floor, not sure how to begin.
âI know Iâve been⌠distant,â Drew said, his voice low, but clear. He didnât need to say more. She already knew. âI just⌠I got caught up in everything. And I know thatâs not fair to you.â
She stayed quiet, watching him with a mix of sadness and understanding. She could see the way he was struggling with his words. He had never been good at expressing his feelings, but this time, it was different. She could tell.
He stepped closer, closing the gap between them, and when he reached for her hands, it felt like an unspoken plea. His fingers brushed against hers, his touch tentative at first, almost as if asking for permission.
âI love you,â he said, his voice stronger now, more certain. âI know I havenât shown it the way I should have. And Iâm sorry for that. But I love you. And I want to do better. I want to be better⌠for you. For us.â
His words hit her harder than she expected. Her throat tightened, and her heart swelled. She could feel the sincerity in his voice, but there was also the sting of the last monthâthe distance, the silence. She tried to swallow the lump in her throat, but it was hard.
âI love you too,â she whispered, barely audible. Her voice cracked, betraying the hurt sheâd been trying to hide. âBut Iâm hurt, Drew. I needed you here. I needed us.â
Drewâs expression softened, and he took a step closer, his hand gently cupping her cheek. âI know. And Iâm sorry,â he said again, his voice filled with regret. âPlease⌠let me make it right. Let me take care of the hurt Iâve caused. Iâll do whatever it takes.â
Her breath hitched, and she closed her eyes for a moment, trying to steady herself. He was here. He was here, and that meant something. It meant he hadnât given up on them, even if heâd been lost in his world for a while.
Without another word, she let herself be pulled into his arms. Drew wrapped his arms around her, holding her close, his warmth flooding through her. She could feel his heart beating against hers, the steady rhythm grounding her. They stood there in silence for a moment, just holding each other, as if they could undo all the hurt by being together again.
And then, Drew leaned in, his lips brushing gently against hers, soft at first, as if testing the waters. But she responded immediately, her arms winding around his neck, pulling him closer. The kiss deepened, becoming more urgent, more desperate, as if they were both trying to make up for the time lost.
It wasnât just a kiss. It was a promise. A promise to love, to be there, to make things right. It was a kiss that spoke of longing, of everything they hadnât been able to say until now.
When they finally pulled away, their foreheads resting together, Drewâs voice was low and full of emotion. âIâm not going anywhere,â he murmured. âI promise. Weâll figure this out. Together.â
And for the first time in what felt like forever, she believed him.

In a kinder world
*I had to write something for this! I had too!*
The summer of 1985 has been really good so far. The best summer ever! The reason? It's laying next to him on his bed, thinks Will Byers as he stares at a still asleep Mike Wheeler. Will laying his head on his arm on his side, watches as Mike sleeps peaceful. Hair messed up, and still in his pajamas. His soft breathing the only sound in the room. Will sometimes wonders if this is all a dream. For Will Byers, things did not stay this good. Especially this long. But it is. It is real!
He doesn't understand how exactly he got here. How a secret hidden kiss at middle school winter dance could lead to this. But he's so glad he's here. He's so glad he's here in this moment with Mike. They don't have a name for it yet. They're too afraid to label it or name whats between them yet. But Mike said it perfectly, "I'm here, I'm staying, and I'm not going anywhere Will."
He continues to softly watch Mike sleep, bits of morning light creeping into the room from the cracks in the curtains. He artistically notes how it highlights Mike's profile. He desperately wants to draw this moment, but doesn't dare move.
Eventually next door, he hears Nancy cursing and waking Johnathan through the thin walls. The sound of his sister's voice causes Mike to snort awake finally.
Sleep leaves Mike Wheeler, bringing a hand to rub gunk away from his eyes. "It's too early to get up Nancy," Mike groggily complains. Turning on his side on Will's bed, he stretches and blinks awake fully. That's when he notices Will's staring. He blushes at seeing those big hazel Bambi eyes first thing in the morning.
"Hi," Mike awkwardly says.
"Hi," Will says happily.
They keep staring at each other.
They're both quiet for a moment or two, enjoying each other's presence while they hear from next door Nancy and Johnathan's mad rush to get ready for work, and Nancy obviously having to sneak out through the window.
Will teases with a smile, showing he doesn't really mind,"You were suppose to sleep on the floor."
Mike laughs at this, awkwardness finally leaves him. He leans in close to nuzzle his nose against Will's. "I sleep better next to you."
"Really?" Will laughs, nuzzling his nose right back.
"Really," said Mike. They stay close together like that. This unnamable it between them, being theirs. For that one moment all is right in the world. Nothing, no monsters, no government, no upside down can hurt them.
"Boys, Breakfast!", Joyce Byers calls out, voice traveling throughout the Byers residence. Which finally gets a giggling Mike and Will to join the waking world as well and get out of bed too.
*****
Joyce laughs,"Wait Jonathan." Will from the table notices the exchange.
"What?" Jonathan asks in a rush to leave for work, stopping for his mother. He's butting up a white pressed shirt.
"Your face," Joyce leans in close and whipes the lipstick from his cheek. Obviously mama Byers knows who else spent the night.
Johnathan blushes at being caught, turns and fleas out the door in a hurry. Rushed goodbye last thing to be heard as the front door closes behind him.
Will scrunches up his nose in disgust, as he opens the bottle of syrup for his pancakes. "Gross," he says.
Joyce smiles and looks at the boys as she sits back down,"You don't think it's gross when Mike comes over."
The implication of that comparison, causes Will to look over at Mike, who's happily eating pancakes next to him. His cheeks stuffed like a chipmunk and his eyes closed in bliss. As if nothing in the world taste better than Joyce Byers pancakes. At the sound of his name he opens his eyes to look over at Joyce. Than at Will. Completely happy and unaware of the conversation going on around him. Will can't help but smile at him. Which causes his mother to laugh. Which of course causes Will to blush and make and embarrassed face.
Mike swallows than says,"What?" With an adorably confused look on his face.
Will blushes, and looks back down at his pancakes, not answering Mike. Though his reaction is certainly answer enough.
He can feel his mother smiling at the both of them. He doesn't allow himself to look back up, too shy in this moment. Underneath the table Will feels Mike's hand using his pinkie to tap his thigh. Will brings a hand down under as well to connect his pinkie finger with his. It's a quick squeeze. Something they made up when they were five to check in with each other.
A tap with a pinkie, "Are you ok."
Answering back with a pinkie pack and a squeeze, "Yes I am."

what is jiminâs reaction to assistant yn threatening to quit?
from my series: the devil wears prada
the penthouse was silentâeerily so, considering the shouting match that had just taken place. the air between them was thick, charged with lingering frustration and unspoken words. jimin stood in the middle of the living room, arms crossed, expression locked in a stubborn scowl. y/n was a few feet away, breathing heavily, fists clenched at her sides.
neither of them had meant for it to escalate like this. it started with something minorâan argument over jiminâs impossible demands, her bratty attitude, the way she acted like y/n was hers to boss around twenty-four-seven. but then, words were thrown like knives, sharp and cutting.
and then y/n snapped.
âmaybe i should just quit, then!â
the words ripped through the space between them. jimin stiffened instantly, her brows drawing together.
âwhat?â her voice was dangerously quiet.
y/n exhaled sharply, still fueled by frustration. âif youâre just gonna keep treating me like this, maybe i should just leave, huh? find another job where iâm actually respected.â
jimin scoffed, but there was a hint of uncertainty in her voice. âyou wouldnât dare.â
âwhy not?â y/n challenged, eyes blazing. âgive me one good reason why i shouldnât.â
jimin opened her mouth, but for once in her life, she had no comeback. no smug remarks, no bratty retorts. because the idea of y/n actually leavingâactually walking awayâfelt like a punch to the gut.
her jaw tightened. âyouâre being dramatic.â
y/n let out a bitter laugh. âof course youâd say that.â
jimin hated this. hated the way y/n looked at her right nowâlike she was tired of her, like she was done.
âyouâre not quitting,â jimin said firmly, like it was a fact, like she refused to acknowledge the possibility.
âand why not?â
âbecauseââ jiminâs voice faltered. she wanted to say because i need youâbecause she couldnât imagine her life without y/n constantly by her side, keeping her in check, understanding her in ways no one else did.
but that wasnât how she worked. she didnât admit things like that. she didnât let people know how much they mattered.
âbecause i said so,â she settled on instead.
y/nâs expression darkened. âyou donât own me, jimin.â
âi never said i did.â
âbut you act like it!â
the silence that followed was suffocating.
jimin hated the thought of y/n leaving, but she also hated feeling like thisâout of control, vulnerable, on the verge of losing something she refused to name.
so she did what she did best.
she walked away.
but before she could fully disappear into her bedroom, y/nâs voice cut through the air.
âyou donât even care, do you?â
jimin froze.
âif i left, it wouldnât even matter to you, right?â y/nâs voice was quieter now, but still laced with hurt. âyouâd just find someone else to boss around.â
something snapped inside jimin. she turned around, storming back toward y/n, eyes burning with something unreadable.
âit would matter,â she said, voice low. âit would matter a lot.â
y/n blinked.
jimin exhaled sharply, running a hand through her hair, frustratedâat y/n, at herself, at the entire situation.
âyou think i donât care?â jimin continued, tone softer now but still firm. âyou think iâd just let you go that easily?â
y/n didnât respond.
jimin sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose. âiâm sorry, alright?â
y/nâs brows shot up. âwhat?â
jimin groaned. âdonât make me say it again.â
y/n stared at her, searching for any sign of insincerityâbut, for once, jimin actually meant it.
a small smirk tugged at y/nâs lips. âwow. never thought iâd hear those words come out of your mouth.â
jimin rolled her eyes, crossing her arms. âdonât get used to it.â
y/n chuckled, shaking her head. her frustration wasnât completely gone, but⌠jimin had apologized. and for someone as stubborn as her, that was a huge deal.
âyouâre impossible,â y/n muttered.
jimin smirked. âand yet, here you are. still not quitting.â
y/n sighed dramatically. âunfortunately.â
but there was a warmth in her eyes now, and jiminâthough sheâd never say it out loudâfelt like she could finally breathe again.

i feel like a lot of people are forgetting that Sabrina helped chloe bully Marinette, it doesnât matter that deep down she knew it was wrong or that she did it for so and so reason. the point is that she did it and she canât take back the harm that her and Chloe imposed on Marinette is already done and canât be taken back so i understand why Marinette might have been a bit reluctant to properly invite Sabrina into her home when she showed up and Marinette had no idea why she was there.

also i donât believe that it was Marinetteâs responsibility to make sure that Sabrina wasnât alone, it was Sabrinaâs responsibility to first of all apologize to the people she helped Chloe bully and second of all make friends on her own. personally i believe that marinette did the right thing by helping Sabrina get out of that toxic friendship, she already tried to do that all the way back in season one, but just because she helped Sabrina free herself from an unhealthy friendship doesnât automatically mean that Marinette is now responsible for Sabrina and for making sure she isnât lonely, because sheâs not.
my point is i donât think all the hate Marinette got for that episode is fair and she does not deserve it.
