"Oh, you know me so well, Volt," Amy cooed as she began to help herself to the exquisite meal placed down in front of her on the counter.

She wished dearly that the kind-hearted man would actually accept her money, but she knew the song and dance. It was almost ritualistic, or a force of habit, for her to place the rings down.

She wasn't going to make a big deal out of it, but the locals always spoke so kindly of him and his daughter, and she really felt he deserved more than he got.

"I've been asking Clemente about this wine after the professor and I attended his wedding, but I've never been able to get a bottle of it!"

Amy was more of a social drinker, but that didn't mean her tolerance for alcohol was low. She liked trying anything, but days where she would sit at the inn were for when she just wanted to nurse a single drink of whatever Volt had mixed that day and vent about the stressors in her live.

As if the hybrid was bothered by someone coming into the Inn with the snow coming down as it was. With winter in full swing, it wasn't often they had days when it wasn't at this point, and smiled as the hedgehog took her seat near his counterspace.

"One special comin' up." Volt chuckled as he eyed the rings, gathering them and putting them back in her possession as he passed by. Those could be better spent elsewhere in the village. After disappearing into the kitchen momentarily, he returned with a plate in one hand and a glass with a wine bottle in the other.

The plate was set down, a slice of Beef Wellington with twice-baked mashed potatoes and sauteed asparagus. The glass came next before he worked out the cork and filled it halfway with red wine. He put the cork back in and set the bottle in the nearby rack.

"The wine's a Merlot from Spagonia I got a few weeks ago durin' a visit. Should pair pretty well with the meal." A gentle tap was given to the counter with a finger. "Let me know if ya need anythin' else, al'ight?"

oh my GOD im messing around with clangen and i feel so fucking bad for flarebird (one of my founders, started out as an apprentice)

his best friend (+ crush) Lightfox died when they were both new warriors. His life got a bit better for a while- he had a mate (Mudspot), an adopted kit (Crocuskit), and a BUNCH of adopted siblings. but then his kit died by being buried alive in camp, one of his adopted siblings (Bonepaw) got FUCKING MURDERED, and now his mate just died of an infection. Flarebird is the most miserable cat in existence holy fucking shit poor guy

Send a 👫and I’ll write four headcanons I have about our muse’s relationship (status — closed!) 

i. He'd at the very least be curious about the Lightfox family. It's rare for him to meet other foxes (albeit half, and just in Volt's case) so I like to think he'd watch the two from a distance. Just... observing. Again, moreso Volt than his daughter. Overall, though, his disdain and trauma with the Freedom Fighters is enough to push him away from wanting to be around either Harmony or Volt. Approaching would result in the typical aggression and surliness, making every attempt to push them both as far away from him as possible. ii. In the scenario Tails did somehow warm up to either of them, though, he'd toddle after Volt like a duckling. Acts of service are his way of showing dedication and affection, but he wouldn't act like part of the family. Rather like a servant or an assistant, someone unworthy of being considered on the same level. You remember Kit with Sonic in that one issue? Yeah, that's the driving. iii. Would have no idea how to connect with Harmony. He'd try to show attentiveness to her too, but would also act the tiniest bit more relaxed around her, given they're closer in age. Still not letting his guard down, though— she was the one who confronted him about hating Freedom Fighters, after all. iv. Volt would remind Tails of his own father. Not a single question about it.

NFC: Scandic Infra City

A gift of thanks from NordicFuzzCon to the Scandic Infra City hotel managers, who hosted the convention for 3 years. It was amazing how the managers enjoyed hosting the furry convention, to the point to be part of it. You could see them around the convention with ears, and even wearing an unicorn kigurumi (Rainbow Pete).

This picture was shown during closing ceremonies, and the plan was giving this picture, printed and framed, to the main manager. But she got sick that day and couldn't receive it. They gave her this picture a week later.

Here are some few random characters, but those who are not random, are: Fredrix (the dog), Lightfox (the fox), Trax (the cat), Rainbow Pete (the unicorn man), Veronica (the girl), Mausie (more than obvious who's Mausie), Hassel (the wolf) and Pinky (who else could be pink?).

Since it was a gift for the hotel managers, and they were in love with the convention itself and all the fursuiters, I decided to make the characters more "fursuit" proportions.

Commission for NordicFuzzCon, done during the convention, if you saw me there drawing in the lobby, in the bar, in the artists lounge... with my tablet, I was working on this, I had to finish it before Sunday.

The crew had only stared for a few moments, caught unawares by the raw strength and speed exhibited. While multiple Quirks were gradually growing more common, none had ever seen a heteromorphic individual with that level of speed and strength- let alone the durability. But, they all managed to shake it soon enough. Maybe the kids were starting to get three-to-four Quirks in one generation, now...though Harmony was a first for many of them.

"...I think-- we're all good...are you alright?" They'd seen some feats in their time- some of the kids at U. A. really wanted a chance to show off their flashier Quirks- but that was something else. It felt like watching a small, blue All Might for a split second- they shook the thought from their head as soon as it had formed. Their eyes flicked to the others. "---EVERYONE GOOD?" When they received a chorus in the affirmative, they turned their head back to the mobian. "Sounds like the worst we've got are a few scrapes,...that wind you made was pretty strong, Harmony."

Maybe they should ask if she'd be interested in making a few yen, pretending to be a villain during one of the Hero Course lessons...-- No, Nezu'd fucking kill them. Nevermind. Shoo, stupid thought.

{➹} – LUCKILY NO ONE seemed bold enough to approach the family for one reason or another, though Harmony's looks probably helped significantly with that fact. As much as the hedgehog wanted to point out it likely wasn't really helping the matter, he still did as his partner suggested and took a breath. Then another for good measure.

Sure, it didn't really help but the hero did feel better when they entered the building, out of sight from most people. The place certainly fit the aesthetic of Grand Metropolis, light blue decor with muted red accents. Fancier than the hero expected, frankly, but he couldn't help but think that to be a good thing. The circular desk sat in the middle of the waiting room, and right in the middle of it was a middle-aged civet who, without looking up, nodded as Volt announced the family's intentions and began typing with a friendly little smile.

Until they looked up, and their expression went from informal to almost astonished. Their little black eyes widened looking from Volt, to the hedgehog and lingering there for a moment too long before hurriedly looking back to their computer screen.

"You said...Lightfox?" A few more keyclicks before the person frowned, even fidgeted in her seat for a moment before looking up at the couple. The smile she tried to give was nervous, and then she stood up and started walking towards the door just on the other side of the room. "Um...one second."

With that she disappeared, leaving the couple in what Arrow thought to be an awkward silence. So much so that he shifted his weight and looked to his partner.

"That...was weird, right?" Arrow knew he hadn't imagined that, but given his current state he didn't know if that was considered normal or not.

For those who watched the family making their way down the street, those who looked less than thrilled to see them would often find themselves meeting the emerald eyes of a teenager with a silent promise.

A few times Volt made a sound to get her attention before she could escalate but his main focus was on his husband.

“It’ll be fine, Liebe. I promise. Take a breath, we’re almost there.” He knew it wouldn’t rid the feelings, but the gentle squeeze to their intertwined fingers was a reminder that they were all there together and would get through it like that. They were there for a reason and no amount of stares or whispers was going to stop that.

As they arrived at the building, Harmony made it to the door first and pulled it open for her parents with a smile. She followed behind them while giving a dirty look to those whose eyes still lingered. Once inside, they could breathe a bit easier while making their way to the desk.

“We have an appointment. Under Lightfox.” As always his voice was calm and polite. The waiting room had plenty of seats and Harmony just so happened to find one that she could fit comfortably next to her parents with a magazine. Of course it happened to be about a familiar band that had Volt snickering.

Reminding him of something they spoke about a bit ago. “We still need t’ see ‘bout gettin’ tickets t’ one o’ her concerts this year.”

“Hey…. Ummm… There’s…” Volt paused and looked to Bless and Node almost sheepishly as they sat by the campfire back behind the Inn. “There’s something I wanted to show you..”

Harmony had only glanced over at her father from where she was roasting a marshmallow, offering him an encouraging tail wag. Something he took to heart and closed his eyes. A spike in Chaos Energy within him all the warning before his body morphed and shifted into his larger form. Blackened sclera greeted them as he opened his eyes and ducked his head, ears folding by almost shyly.

“Remember how I mentioned being part Black Arms…”

The two had glanced cautiously to one another at those words, wondering if perhaps he was about to reveal some massive, damaging secret- something that would forever change their view of the hybrid. They figured, with words like those, this would be something that might even break the trio apart... But they were ready to hear, to listen, to understand.

Bless blinked for a moment, his tail trying to start a wag even as he forced it to still. His eyes narrowed, mouth forming into a thin line. Node's reaction was for their jaw to drop, eyes staring straight at the hybrid as he revealed this new form to them. Together, the two probably looked like a truly horrible reaction- eyes narrowed, mouth agape... It would be little wonder if Volt were concerned, even afraid.

But all that would change with one question.

"..... Why didn't you tell us about this sooner??" Bless expression softened as he hopped over the fire with ease, landing on the other side and offering the now-fluffier hybrid a hug. "I'm supposed to be the fluffy one of the group, Volt!!" His voice was incredulous, but the smile on his face spoke miles otherwise.

"...so fluffy..." Node murmured. They didn't jump nor teleport, instead their mouth finally closing before it formed into a smile, and then a faint laugh. "Guess you're not!"

"Shhhhh!!!" Bless grinned. "HE'S FLUFFY!" It would seem that was all the two really cared to focus on. They weren't stating it, far from it- but there was a truth in the way they were dealing with this moment. Neither had brought up that it was Black Arms DNA, that that was even involved. Silently, Bless shot Harmony a second of an inquisitive look- she'd known about this... And hadn't told them?

Well.. Volt did seem shy about it... And it was DNA from an enemy, so it was understandable he wouldn't be forthcoming... Although it hurt just a hint that he hadn't told the duo sooner, Bless and Node could relate, to a degree...

"Have you been shy about this or somethin'?" Node quirked an eyebrow. "... Don't get why, but lemme say this-"

"YOU LOOK SO COOL!" Bless interrupted. Node merely sighed, shaking their head as they gestured to the werehog.

"As he said." Their smile was only gone for a moment. ".... Now c'mere-" And they were on him. Both of them. It would seem neither had any qualms with his Black Arms form. "--FLUFFY!"

It would seem he'd earned a nickname from the two.
