"Oh, you know me so well, Volt," Amy cooed as she began to help herself to the exquisite meal placed down in front of her on the counter.

She wished dearly that the kind-hearted man would actually accept her money, but she knew the song and dance. It was almost ritualistic, or a force of habit, for her to place the rings down.

She wasn't going to make a big deal out of it, but the locals always spoke so kindly of him and his daughter, and she really felt he deserved more than he got.

"I've been asking Clemente about this wine after the professor and I attended his wedding, but I've never been able to get a bottle of it!"

Amy was more of a social drinker, but that didn't mean her tolerance for alcohol was low. She liked trying anything, but days where she would sit at the inn were for when she just wanted to nurse a single drink of whatever Volt had mixed that day and vent about the stressors in her live.

As if the hybrid was bothered by someone coming into the Inn with the snow coming down as it was. With winter in full swing, it wasn't often they had days when it wasn't at this point, and smiled as the hedgehog took her seat near his counterspace.

"One special comin' up." Volt chuckled as he eyed the rings, gathering them and putting them back in her possession as he passed by. Those could be better spent elsewhere in the village. After disappearing into the kitchen momentarily, he returned with a plate in one hand and a glass with a wine bottle in the other.

The plate was set down, a slice of Beef Wellington with twice-baked mashed potatoes and sauteed asparagus. The glass came next before he worked out the cork and filled it halfway with red wine. He put the cork back in and set the bottle in the nearby rack.

"The wine's a Merlot from Spagonia I got a few weeks ago durin' a visit. Should pair pretty well with the meal." A gentle tap was given to the counter with a finger. "Let me know if ya need anythin' else, al'ight?"

oh my GOD im messing around with clangen and i feel so fucking bad for flarebird (one of my founders, started out as an apprentice)

his best friend (+ crush) Lightfox died when they were both new warriors. His life got a bit better for a while- he had a mate (Mudspot), an adopted kit (Crocuskit), and a BUNCH of adopted siblings. but then his kit died by being buried alive in camp, one of his adopted siblings (Bonepaw) got FUCKING MURDERED, and now his mate just died of an infection. Flarebird is the most miserable cat in existence holy fucking shit poor guy

Send a 👫and I’ll write four headcanons I have about our muse’s relationship (status — closed!) 

i. He'd at the very least be curious about the Lightfox family. It's rare for him to meet other foxes (albeit half, and just in Volt's case) so I like to think he'd watch the two from a distance. Just... observing. Again, moreso Volt than his daughter. Overall, though, his disdain and trauma with the Freedom Fighters is enough to push him away from wanting to be around either Harmony or Volt. Approaching would result in the typical aggression and surliness, making every attempt to push them both as far away from him as possible. ii. In the scenario Tails did somehow warm up to either of them, though, he'd toddle after Volt like a duckling. Acts of service are his way of showing dedication and affection, but he wouldn't act like part of the family. Rather like a servant or an assistant, someone unworthy of being considered on the same level. You remember Kit with Sonic in that one issue? Yeah, that's the driving. iii. Would have no idea how to connect with Harmony. He'd try to show attentiveness to her too, but would also act the tiniest bit more relaxed around her, given they're closer in age. Still not letting his guard down, though— she was the one who confronted him about hating Freedom Fighters, after all. iv. Volt would remind Tails of his own father. Not a single question about it.

I'm going to actually type this time since it's a lot-

But!

Shadow (I think I mentioned her before-) was my first ever (non-fandom) oc alongside one other, Light.

I originally wanted to have these two be, basically soulmates and be opposites. So I made the designs to be opposites. And then the names-

I didn't know what to call them at first, until I looked into the damn sun.

And got the idea for Light! Who was the easiest to design and figure out personality.

Now it was the others turn. I had to actually look up what the opposite of light was (I refused to use dark. I wanted something 'cool') and got Shadow! She was pain in everything.

I originally added fix to the end of their names (ShadowFox, LightFox) before chucking those out the window and giving them normal names.

But because of these two! I came up with an entire species! And now, their species' get normal names only known to family members and their lovers if they tell them. But once they're ten they get a name based off their main power.

So they still have those names and normal ones! Yippie!

Why did you give your OC their current name? Did their name change at all during development?

"They're both awesome! Volt's the sexiest hybrid I know, and I love spending time at his Inn with him. I'm just glad he was willing to date both Nodesy and I- I know we can be a handful. Though I do wish he'd tell us when he had to leave for things, that way we'd worry less..." The hedgehog sighed quietly. "---As for Harmony, I do worry at times that she's going to get herself hurt- but how proud she looks after each mission she comes back from keeps me from voicing it. She's definitely got the heart of a warrior.....I just hope Buddy can keep up with her!"

He honestly enjoyed both the hybrids in different ways. Harmony was, without a doubt, his kid at this point- and Volt, his beloved. The hedgehog had even been considering springing the question on both Volt and Node, of late...but that was a thought that would have to wait. For what, he wasn't sure- but the time wasn't quite right, yet.

"...I do wish Volt'd not keep things from us,...but I don't plan to pry. That's his choice, and I'm not gonna disrespect it. I love him dearly- I'm still surprised he was actually willing to try to get involved with Bless and I, but...I don't regret it." Their tail was swishing back and forth, slow but steady. "His power's on another level...makes me feel safe, when I know everybody's home...and Harmony,..." There was a faint smile. "...she reminds me of Bless, in his younger days- wouldn't surprise me if she's just like Volt from when he was younger too, though... I do consider her to actually be my daughter, though I worry at times that I can be....a bit overbearing? So I end up overcorrecting into...being a bit too...little, I guess." They shrugged. Node had never been a parent before- trying to find a happy medium,...was definitely taking time.

"I've thought of giving her a nickname, but...Bless already uses 'Harms', and I'm not so sure she'd be happy if I started using it, too. So for now..." They shrugged. "...I'll think'a one...'ventually."

The crew had only stared for a few moments, caught unawares by the raw strength and speed exhibited. But, they all managed to shake it soon enough. Maybe the kids were starting to get three-to-four Quirks in one generation, now...though Harmony was a first for many of them.

"...I think-- we're all good...are you alright?" They'd seen some feats in their time- some of the kids at U. A. really wanted a chance to show off their flashier Quirks- but that was something else. It felt like watching a small, blue All Might for a split second- they shook the thought from their head as soon as it had formed. Their eyes flicked to the others. "---EVERYONE GOOD?" When they received a chorus in the affirmative, they turned their head back to the mobian. "Sounds like the worst we've got are a few scrapes,...that wind you made was pretty strong, Harmony."

Maybe they should ask if she'd be interested in making a few yen, pretending to be a villain during one of the Hero Course lessons...-- No, Nezu'd fucking kill them. Nevermind. Shoo, stupid thought.

"Yeh. That's right. I was made in the same place my dad was." Neither hybrid ever had an issue talking about their creation. Volt wasn't shy about his origins, just some of the past that followed it. Thankfully, Harmony knew those boundaries and tried not to cross them too often without permission.

"I don't mind talkin' 'bout it. 'S just a part o' how I'm me." She didn't have her files. Not like her father, but she did get to see some of the digital media that GUN had on her when she was younger. "I got my name from my project. Project Harmony. Cuz I'm a perfect harmony o' Dark and Light Gaia Energy."

She grinned, tail wagging lightly behind her. "And Werehog and hedgehog, but that's why dad calls me a fluffhog. Dad's project was Project Lightfox. That's where we got our last names from."

For a split moment, the teen thought she had been wrong in her assumption. The way those eyes took in her appearance was far too familiar to Metal Sonic. But the color was different. Their posture had been relaxed.

And she could still smell something far more natural under the lingering scent of metal and oil.

Once he spoke, it all made a bit more sense. The Metal Sonic she often fought spoke in binary. This was a semi familiar voice with just a difference in pitch that she chalked up to a metal voice box. Until the faceplate fell away.

“Whoa…” Maybe a little surprised by the hedgehog’s appearance. Thankfully Harmony wasn’t one to judge and returned the grin with one of her own, tail wagging as a hand was extended.

“I’m Harmony, Harmony Lightfox.” A quick shake of a hand, mindful of her strength. “I knew there was more t’ ya when I caught your scent under all the metal. ‘S nice t’ meetcha Sonic.”

It was very rare that anyone recognized him for something more than just a bucket of bolts. Her energy must have been unique for a reason!

He unscrewed half of his mask, allowing it to hang loosely to the left. He continued to smile toothily, showing off the gap in his front incisors.

“The name's Sonic!” he offered gleefully, “Though you probably already know that, huh? Can I get your name?”

NFC: Scandic Infra City

A gift of thanks from NordicFuzzCon to the Scandic Infra City hotel managers, who hosted the convention for 3 years. It was amazing how the managers enjoyed hosting the furry convention, to the point to be part of it. You could see them around the convention with ears, and even wearing an unicorn kigurumi (Rainbow Pete).

This picture was shown during closing ceremonies, and the plan was giving this picture, printed and framed, to the main manager. But she got sick that day and couldn't receive it. They gave her this picture a week later.

Here are some few random characters, but those who are not random, are: Fredrix (the dog), Lightfox (the fox), Trax (the cat), Rainbow Pete (the unicorn man), Veronica (the girl), Mausie (more than obvious who's Mausie), Hassel (the wolf) and Pinky (who else could be pink?).

Since it was a gift for the hotel managers, and they were in love with the convention itself and all the fursuiters, I decided to make the characters more "fursuit" proportions.

Commission for NordicFuzzCon, done during the convention, if you saw me there drawing in the lobby, in the bar, in the artists lounge... with my tablet, I was working on this, I had to finish it before Sunday.
