"...well...that hurt..." Bless groaned, rubbing at his head as he sat up. The destruction from his fall wasn't anywhere near as severe- he'd had the presence of mind to dig his hands into the metallic ground, resulting in a loud, angry screech as metal was abruptly ripped up yard-by-yard. It had awoken several mobians in the currently-sleeping city, and yet not one dared leave their shiny hotels and ironclad homes.

Moonlight and floating streetlamps served as illumination, alongside blaring holographic signs detailing the upcoming World Grand Prix. Bless glanced around, emerald hues searching the carnage for any sign of his supposed attacker... Only to pause as he realized there was a strange glow coming from below. He glanced down, eyebrows furrowing as he noticed a circle of green light- pulsing in time to his heartbeat. It wouldn't be quite so strange if it didn't seem to originate from under his fur.

"Crap..." He breathed in. The male stood, emerald hues flicking about. Most of the street was undamaged- the only sign of destruction were the holes he'd torn into the ground, alongside the massive dent where he'd finally come to a stop... By hitting a building. He didn't recall doing that- he barely recalled the hit of the object itself, before he'd been sent tumbling!

Bless' eyes finally landed on several items scattered nearby- his emergency ring, his phone, and a small bit of birch wood he was going to carve in his free time... Now broken solidly in two. He snatched his phone- just barely dodging a bullet as it fired off.

"Wh-?" He may have been slower in his werehog form, but the mobian was no less swift as emerald hues dilated, snapping upwards. Slick, silver-and-white frames hovered overhead, gunmetal gray barrels leveled in his direction. A strange light in his chest, and now robots that had guns trained on him..

He had an idea what was going on. He had to find Node- he had to warn Volt and Harmony. His world wasn't safe right now.

"Return the Ark of The Cosmos."

"The Ark of the what?" Ark of The Cosmos?... "What's that?" The machines... Merely floated, their engines thrumming.

"Return the Ark of The Cosmos. You have ten seconds to comply."

At least he'd be safe. That was the one thought that kept Node from screaming, even as they'd fallen to the ground, clutching their own arms tight as panic wracked their mind.

"Stop, stop stopstopstop...!" Node's bitten claws dug into their fur. Unlike Bless, they'd had no emergency ring on their person- and they'd taken damage as a result. Their clothes were cut up on their back from crashing through so many trees, bruises littering their arms- but that wasn't what made them afraid.

No, their mind was running entirely on autopilot. Their plea rang through the forest, echoing up the road of destruction their body had cut earlier in the night. They were too deep to think, just trying blearily to focus on their own arms around their body. They had to get up-- they had to find out- what was going on--

Stopstopstopstopstop-

That maelstrom in their head screamed otherwise. Their hands were pressing into their arms, trying to find reality. They were searching for a grounding wire- anything to keep them rooted. They were here. They were alive. Bless had to be alive- he had to be- Volt and Harmony would get him out-

Summer Festival 'Date'

Harmony couldn't have been happier to go with her teammate Buddy to the Summer Festival in New Mobotropolis.

The games, the snacks, and the music. They look like they're having a blast, and he even won her a plushie from one of the nearby games. Oh to be so young and oblivious. Poor boy still can't work up the courage to ask her out officially.

NOTE: Buddy in my AU is 14, Harmony is 13. It's a puppy crush.

Whatever bitterness might had been in the hedgehog's voice as he all but sprinted was due to the cold and the rapid numbing of his limbs and nothing more. After all it had been his idea to drag his partner out to help shovel the snow that was in the way of some of the older villagers and businesses. And they had gotten quite a bit done before the storm had rolled in.

       The wind had come out of nowhere, and the flurry to follow made the hero realize all their wok may have been for naught by the time he and Volt had decided to call it quits and head home. If quills could freeze, Arrow was certain his just had.

     But his attention was pulled away from the cold when he felt a warm hand slip into his, and somehow seeing the amusement on the hybrid’s face almost made Arrow forget about the cold. Almost. Even he knew that there was a budding excitement about them both, because cold weather meant one thing for certain in the Lightfox home and the couple both knew it was where they would rather be at any given moment. 

     Side by side, the couple made their way down the familiar path where there were blankets and tea a plenty waiting to warm them both. And where ether might have failed, there were always cuddles to be had.

Bless' eyes flickered between the crimson stains on the hybrid's fur, and the splatters of it on the floor. If he had to guess- a fight had taken place in the Inn's main lobby, but he hadn't been around to witness it. No, he'd run back from a jog just in time to come across the bloodied form of his boyfriend, brows crinkling in slight suspicion and concern.

"...are you sure?..."

"Oh thank Chaos." Node had been listening to music while they worked on cleaning the kitchen- and had only heard the last crack of the door slamming shut after everything had gone down. One hand was over their chest, their tail fluffed up as if they'd just stuck it in an electrical socket- but slowly, the fur was beginning to relax back down. "...do you want some help cleaning up?...you look...." Well. Bloody.- But Node wasn't sure if they should say it aloud. "...rough..."

An ear twitched at Bless' own question. Nope- nope- they didn't even want to think about it being Volt's blood. The idea that they'd barely been a room or so away, while he was being hurt---?

"...gimme a sec, I'll have the floor clean in no time." Even if he was- doubtful- of Volt's assurances...it would be best not to press for Node's sake. Besides- he didn't have any noticeable injuries...so he'd call that a win. "Are you okay?" Even though he was a moment from speeding off to get materials to clean the floor with- he just...he wanted to make sure.

The crew had only stared for a few moments, caught unawares by the raw strength and speed exhibited. While multiple Quirks were gradually growing more common, none had ever seen a heteromorphic individual with that level of speed and strength- let alone the durability. But, they all managed to shake it soon enough. Maybe the kids were starting to get three-to-four Quirks in one generation, now...though Harmony was a first for many of them.

"...I think-- we're all good...are you alright?" They'd seen some feats in their time- some of the kids at U. A. really wanted a chance to show off their flashier Quirks- but that was something else. It felt like watching a small, blue All Might for a split second- they shook the thought from their head as soon as it had formed. Their eyes flicked to the others. "---EVERYONE GOOD?" When they received a chorus in the affirmative, they turned their head back to the mobian. "Sounds like the worst we've got are a few scrapes,...that wind you made was pretty strong, Harmony."

Maybe they should ask if she'd be interested in making a few yen, pretending to be a villain during one of the Hero Course lessons...-- No, Nezu'd fucking kill them. Nevermind. Shoo, stupid thought.

LITTLE MUSE FACTS.

1) What does your muse smell like?:

Harmony smells literally like nature in every essence of the word. Since she spends a lot of her time outdoors, be it with her teammates or just exploring, there are a lot more earthy tones to her scent when she's out and about. If she's just gotten out of a shower, it's sometimes a toss-up between honey and bubblegum on which one she'll smell like.

2) How often does your muse bathe/shower?:

Being a teenager and occasionally finding herself distracted by one thing or another, it's usually something Volt has to remind her of so she doesn't shower daily but will do so more than once a week. Mostly 2 or 3 times a week. She prefers showers over baths anymore but is still known to every once in a while take a bubble bath, just to relax.

3) Does your muse have any tattoos or piercings?:

She has both her ears pierced once and a tattoo similar to her father's on the inside of her ear in UV ink. Also like her father's, it states her project line and the number in which she came in the creation process. Her earrings are opal studs with a small device inside them that allows them to be charged with a small amount of Chaos Energy (so she can be tracked on a radar).

4) Any body movement quirks? (EX: tapping heel, shaking knee)”

Almost constantly moving due to the boundless amount of energy, but she will often tap her foot if she's impatient or cross her arms. Also known for puffing out her cheeks and wrinkling her nose. Often times her tail is wagging and only really stops if something is serious so you can always tell when she's joking. Much like her father, her ears are expressive like his tail can be.

5) What do they sleep in?:

Nothing. Since she doesn't wear a whole lot of clothing normally, she doesn't see a single problem with keeping that trend in bed. The amount of fur she has is more than enough to keep her warm in cooler temperatures so she doesn't see a need to.

6) What’s their favorite piece of clothing?:

Her red bandana. Unless it's to shower or sleep, she hardly ever takes it off. It was the first gift her father got her after he rescued her and she loves it.

7) What do they do when they wake up?:

Roll back over. Harmony is not an early bird. If given a chance, she will sleep till lunch. Thankfully Volt will usually nudge her once he's finished breakfast and that gets her motivated enough to get up and get ready.

She'll brush her quills (though it never looks like she does), and get her bandana, bracers, greaves on if she isn't reminded to shower, then head out into the kitchen to get breakfast.

8) How do they sleep? Position?:  

You name it, she sleeps it. Her favorite is usually on her side with a plushie in her arms (a worn werehog plushie), but she has been known to wake up with her head hanging off the side of the bed and draped completely across it.

9) What do their hands feel like?:

The fur on her hands is short and coarse with her finger/palm pads being rough. All of her running is done on all fours so they are as firm as the sole of a shoe to remain durable while at rapid speeds. Her claws as short and far more stubby than her father's, meant to maintain traction on the ground than a defense.

Volt might have dozed off while keeping Node company while they sketched. He didn’t mean to but he was still recovering… Hopefully they didn’t mind the slight weight against their side.

At least he was purring… quietly.

It had been one of many opportunities to try sketching the interior of the Inn. For Node, they'd been more than happy when Volt had decided to keep them company, tail wrapping partially around him as he'd sat beside the fox while the charcoal Harmony had gifted them scratched along a previously-pure white canvas. They were lost in their work, only really coming out of it when they'd felt a slight weight against their side, enough to throw off a stroke of their hand.

They turned their head to ask Volt what he was up to, a mirthful bubble of a laugh on the tip of their tongue- only to clamp their muzzle shut before it could fully escape upon sight of the brown-and-red hybrid... Resting peacefully, his hands in his lap, eyes closed, one ear only twitching every now and again in response to his dreams. Node's playful question was replaced instead with a soft smile. Their tail wound a little further, careful not to press for fear of scaring the hedgefox awake.

The charcoal was rested on the paper, the work only just beginning to look like the Inn's main lobby. Node's hand gently moved up, resting atop the other's forehead. It was funny- he'd gone through so much in so little time,- and yet he could rest here, looking like everything in the world was pure. They wished they could have stopped the disaster, could have helped keep Volt safe from the initial kidnap... Guilt that bit at their nerves even as they leaned their head back against his. Brown, white, and soft yellow touched as Node released a quiet purr of their own, adding a second tone to the hybrid's own.

It didn't really occur to them until far later, when they'd awoken to the sound of the canvas and charcoal slipping from their legs... That their hand had had charcoal on it, so as a result, Volt would awaken with a bit of a smear of dark-gray atop his head. Something Node instantly offered to help get out of his fur.

"Hey, I bet you that I can scare him out of that Pokédex~" Turns out that becoming a ghost-type doesn't change your affinity for (or fear of) the dark. ---------------------------------- Today's Octransfur repost (Day 11 - Spirit) was a commission for Lightfox. Drawing dark scenes can be quite a treat-- and it plays well with my sorta sketchy shading style too!

One little detail I'm happy with were the abstract paintings alluding to all the characters' pre-TF forms. I often have trouble filling out the background, but it's nice to be able to fill it with relevant info~ Click here to check out this picture's timelapse~
