Lightelves live in Elfhome (one of the Nine Worlds: the others are Ooseyard, Nuelhome, Ettinhome, Midyard, Wanehome, Mudspellihome, Swarthelfhome, and Hell): older Lightelves can use a magical power called Valtolina ("Hidden Body").

The desert, a vast expanse of burning red sand secluded with an oasis of deadly plants and animals. If any creature were to survive in such a retched terrain, they would have to be clever beyond belief, or completely immune to the heat of their home. The Elven races are the form. The Lósálfr taught themselves complex magic, agriculture, and leather working to best outfit them for the heat, while the Dökkálfr found caves and tunnels to reside in, hiding their people from the harsh sunlight. Then, there were the Salamanders, a race of Dragon like Fae who are said to be the embodiment of fire. With ease, these lizard like creatures would build massive camps made specifically for conquering and defending against their neighbors. Though the Salamanders normally represented survival through strength, some of them were also quite clever. No Salamander tribe exhibited either of these traits more than the DamonAsistants.

When Faris DamonAsistant and her small group of followers laid claim to a large oasis by the shore of the peninsula. This position gave them ample water, and the normally deadly animals were no concern to the powerful race, but there was still the issue of food. Many of the plants in the oasis were poisonous or simply inedible. Faris knew her people couldn’t survive on hunting alone, so she devised a plan. About a mile outside the DamonAsistant territory there was a small Lósálfr village that had a thriving agricultural system. Faris, of course, decided that the best way to get what her people needed was to conquer the elves land and people placing them under her rule. The Lósálfr offered little resistance, knowing the futility of fighting a Salamander war camp.  No lives were lost in the ‘battle,’ and Faris took the patriarch of the village as her husband who sired her first son, Iskandar.

Iskandar was raised in the intellectual and military splendor that his parents had created, learning everything from agriculture, to battle tactics, everything he needed to know to lead his people. This training would be put to its first test when he was ten and the neighboring camp of Hephaestus attempted to conquer Damonasistant land. The warriors under Faris’ command not only pushed the magic using Salamanders out of their territory, but also back to their camp where Faris would challenge the chief to a duel of leadership. Answering her request, a lean built red Salamander walked confidently out of his tent. Faris immediately laughed at the male, becoming for her son to come forward. Iskandar and the enemy chief stared each other down as they entered the ring. The chief struck first, fire spewing out of his mouth at the young warrior. Iskandar rolled out of the way, coming to his feet and charging towards his opponent. The red Salamander summoned a scimitar made of fire, slashing at Iskandars head as he easily ducked under it, ramming his shoulder into the chief’s chest, pushing him into the air. The chief spread his wings, beginning his assent from his short wingless advisory. Before he could get far though Iskandar grabbed his tail and pulled him forcefully to the ground, placing his foot on his chest to claim his victory. The chief squirmed, shouting up at the boy.

“How dare you grab a Salamander’s tail, you mongrel!? Is nothing sacred to you?”

Iskandar looked down, his brass eyes burning with passion and excitement.

“Battle is a place where your instincts take over, there’s no time to think of right and wrong, only victory.” Faris said, placing her hand on her sons pale blonde hair that glimmered like bronze in the the sun. The chief tried to reply, but Faris simply stared down at him, a smiler on her face, but murder in her fire colored eyes. “Normally I’d kill you for daring to intrude on my territory, but the magic your men use intrigues me. As a show of our peoples union, I’ll take you as a second husband.”

Again the red Salamander tried to reply, but Faris had already begun to inspect her new soldiers, looking over the tattoos that represented the spells that they could cast. Iskandar lifted his foot from the newest member of his family, returning to his fathers side, smacking the chief as he walked away.

Within the year Faris had managed to completely unify the two armies, and give birth to two beautiful Salamanders. One was a healthy young boy who shared his mothers golden features who Faris chose to name Leonas. The other more closely resembled his fathers sharp red appearance, and thusly, Faris named him Ahmar.  

All three boys were inseparable, Iskandar always making sure his baby brothers were safe and looked after. As they grew older the brothers stayed by each others side, even though they began going down different paths.

Iskandar became a master of all things military, be it combat, establishing a base, or combat strategy.

Ahmar took up casting, and government, reading any piece of paper he could get his hands on, his father teaching him everything he knew before Ahmar surpassed him.

As expected Leonas excelled in every area, perfectly melding mage craft and swordsmanship, military tactics, and governing methods. If there was a challenge put before Leonas, he conquered it, inspiring both admiration, and jealousy.

By the time the twins had turned ten years old a jealousy had arisen between them. Ahmar grew angry that many of their teachers didn’t find his magic as useful or as important as his brothers combination of techniques, even their father favored  Leonas over him.

One night after Faris had read her son a bed time fable, still sitting together, overlooking their capital city, Ahmar was far too upset to fall to sleep, even though his brother had fallen asleep long ago.

“I hate that story...” Ahmar pouted, slouching into his mothers lap. “Why is the wizard always the bad guy, while the knight gets to be the hero?”

Farris looked down at her son, a gentle smile on her face. “What about the wizard at the beginning, the one who helped the king get his throne?”

“But he’s still not the hero!”

“Ahmar, what is this really about?”

“Nothing...” Ahmar pouted.

Faris shook her head, ruffling her sons spiky red hair. “The world belongs to the strong Ahmar,” She said, staring out at her city. “But that rarely means strong of body.”

Ahmar looked up at his mother’s flaming eyes that were filled with nothing but love for her beautiful son. “You are  just as strong as either of your brothers, Ahmar, never forget that.”

Only, that role is that of the husband in an arranged marriage. Not something Loki had in mind... Of course, the God of Mischief does what he wants! The prince of Asgard discovers two things: love and his true parentage, both of which lead to catastrophic events.

This story will roughly follow the storyline of the first Thor movie, but adds a whole new twist to it.
