The number two runs, through the crowded street, a strange sight but he had been needed on the ground for once. Glancing over the big clock on the closest screen he clicks his tongue. A sprint or two more and he lifts off from the nearest perch of empty space. The already silent flapping of his wings followed by ‘oohs’ and ‘It’s Hawks!’ From the crowd. He smiles, a polite wave and he kicks himself into higher gear, disappearing into the sky. As if someone had screeched for help, on the verge of deatg. But there was no such alarm, for tonight.. is game night. And Hawks.. he is running late. “Rima’s house.” he says as if talking to a navigation device, knowing very well he doesn’t need such a thing.

So he makes his way, easily gliding across the wind. Dodging nearing clouds nearing his goal. He props himself into the first open window of the house, golden eyes go through the room. Nitro, the only one there with the gameboard in front of him and an unreadable look on his face. “Heyo, Katsuki, glad you are at least here. Where are the others? Don’t tell me I missed it already.” He says as he scratches the side of his head.

-you pull up the battle chips and it seems like luck is on your side, two aqua-blades and a wave-rider! you grab them all and as the two watery katanas form and you step onto the surfboard, your phone speaks up again!
sho-co: "hey so i'm watching this stuff from the news and like, i know aqua style seems like a good idea cuz it beats fire but you like, really really need speed right now soooooooo"
neos ultra: "uhh... it's probably fine!" you stay in aqua style and zoom out on the board! the small wave of water carrying you along as you charge through the streets towards phantom!
-the monster yells out again as you crash forward and slash with both swords! cutting into-
-nothing. because it catches the swords and snaps them like twigs. you fall off the board and faceplant on the ground because you failed to dodge the second arm sweeping you.
neos ultra: "...oh man... that's not-" you feel yourself get listed up onto the air by your leg, upside down and eye to eye with phantom flame. "...hi-"
phantom: "AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!" it starts slamming you on the ground like a ragdoll. back and forth, your face against the concrete over and over. you hear something shatter as your whole body hurts. lifted up again you see shards of your helmet and one of your lenses on the floor. your right eye and some of your hair are exposed as you're too weak to fight. it's about to slam you down again, but suddenly stops.
???: "that's enough for now flame, return." a posh and confident voice speaks out from above. phantom flame vanishes into a flurry of pixels. you look up at the source of the voice, barely able to focus on it in your condition.

neos ultra: "who... the hell..." despite all the main, you're feeling something very odd. a burning sensation at the source of all this damage... you're not too familiar with this feeling.
???: "oh you'll find out later little hero, honestly through you'd be tougher than that... organisation X sends it's regards." the figure simply walks off, out of sight on the rooftops.
-you limp yourself into an alleyway and turn back to geo. many of the injuries stay, but you can at least walk again. to start walking through town to find a bus stop, you've just got to get home now.
-you feel yourself enter auto-pilot as you find a stop, stumbling onto the bus and falling asleep on it, barely even listening to the driver...
-you are not on the bus when you awaken.
-you are on... your couch.

geo: "w... why are you here?"
nitro: "I SENT AN EMAIL WHEN WE GOT INSIDE."
geo: "oh, w-wait how did we-"
"the bus driver": "hey, that was me!" the bus driver is in your kitchen, he seems to be making some kind of stew and... you recognise the recipe. your dad invented that.
geo: "j-j-j-j- AUGH TONGUE WORK!!! just, explain everything man! i'm tired of not knowing stuff!" both the driver and sho-co seem caught off guard by your sudden outburst. "just... please."
sho-co: "woah..." the bus driver stirs the pot a little more and puts a lid on it, sitting down with both of you.

Tetsuya Naito(c) vs EVIL the betrayer
IWGP HEAVYWEIGHT AND INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
EVIL is now bullet club. He's got a new cool intro video for it too. I can't help but laugh at the commentary guy who loves EVIL and is just desperately waiting to see him. EVIL comes out. Hair down, no scythe, awesome cloak and dope ass gear holy shit they made EVIL COOL!? WTF??? Oh yeah Gedo and Jason are there too. Aw fuck there are AK 47s on his pauldrons! Fuck he's so FUCKING COOL.
Naito comes out now. Crowd is pumped. Impeccable three piece suit. Black with a blood red inner lining. Glittery? Beautiful long coat, dragging the belts side by side... he looks... calm, and collected yet, torn...
One of my biggest gripes about EVIL was always his gear but now he's wearing tights, a dope ass gladiator style skirt thing, and the top half of his singlet says EVIL on the back with an AK coming up the spine.... He's so cool now I'm not even fucking kidding. And it's the gear I swear, I like bullet club but he didn't need them to make this change...
Oh shit red shoes is kicking out the BC lol they're gone. This should just be EVIL and Naito.
The bell rings and evil rules outside just kind of casually walks around the ring while naito it's just waiting for him. Evil seems very hesitant to get in the ring. Naito actually charges evil on the outside and then throws him against the barricade just throws him around back and forth into the barricade! hits a low dropkick and then drags him to the outside where he slams him into the announcer table. You can tell night I was not having any of EVILs shit right now. Naito drags him by the hair over into the ring.
He wraps him up in the ropes and chokes him. Naito put him in a cravat take some of the ropes and slams him down he Irish whip some of the ropes evil reverses gets a kick in the face for it and then evil hits a lariat that sends naito to the outside. evil then proceeds to throw him around into the barricade back and forth returning the favor for earlier. Evil wraps up Naitos leg in the barricade and then stomps on that same leg. Evil takes one of the announcer tables and sets it up by the ring, he lifts Naito but Naito gets out of it. Evil leaves Naito lying on the ground then goes over to the announcer that loves him, take the little toy scythe on his desk and breaks it! He throws the pieces at the announcer and the guys jumps the barricade and charges EVIL! He gets thrown against the barricade for that... Oof... Fuck man this is a different EVIL entirely. The crowd is booing the shit out of him...
It goes back to taking naitos leg and wrapping it in the barricade. He's targeting the right leg. He then rolls into the ring and starts undoing the corner pad. Evil patiently waits for naito. Naito gets in the ring at 10. Evil throws naito in the exposed corner. Then he does it again. Then he moves on to striking the leg of naito. Key locks in ankle lock and naito tries pulling evils hair to get out of it but it doesn't work. Naito is angrily pulling and shoving the head of EVIL but he has to get to the ropes to break it and he does.
Evil is taunting naito and stomping on both of the legs. Naito chops evil across the chest but evil does not go down he taunts Naito. They struggle over a brain buster until Naito gets thrown over but lands on his feet and then charges EVIL with a dropkick to take him down. Night owl angrily strikes an evil throws into the ropes it's a back elbow then a low dropkick to the back of EVIL. He hits his combination in the corner with the leg sweep and the swinging dropkick. Naito gets a 2 count. Naito keeps dragging evil around by the hair evil tries to fight back but naito catches him and then hits a backbreaker to the knee then he puts evil into a crucifix armbar that EVIL breaks with the ropes. Naito tries the German suplex but evil counters and slams naito into the mat. EVIL slaps Naito around taunting him. He grabs his leg but naito fights out of it and takes EVIL down with an elbow to the head. More of those back elbows to the head. Over and over. He lifts EVIL by the hair, and tries more elbows but evil dodges and then dodges a kick from Naito. He lifts Naitos leg and slams the leg into the mat. Evil does it again, Naitos knee hits the mat hard each time.
Evil and naito are on the apron of the ring and evil lifts him by the leg but naito fights out hit some of the back elbow and then a neck breaker down onto the apron! Night to readjust the table that was outside climbs up on the apron and grabs evil he looks over to the crowd who then starts clapping and cheering for him. Naito struggles to get the power bomb from evil who grabs hold of his face, then lifts Naito up and slams his knee down through the table oh my God! The table splinters and Naito is left rolling on the ground holding his knee. EVIL goes under the ring for chairs and traps Naitos knee in the closed chair! He grabs the other chair and is ready to strike but red shoes stops evil by standing between them with the half of the busted table! Naitos back is clearly bleeding, EVIL sits in the ring waiting. The count starts and Naito slowly crawls back to the ring... He jumps in with one leg at 19.
Evil proceeds to stomp the leg of Naito and gets him in a scorpion leg lock. Naito keeps reaching for the rope but he starts to fade.... He lunges for the rope! EVIL let's go and Naito is just lying there in a heap. Evil comes over and keeps stomping the knee. He's really enjoying this. Evil smiles down in Idaho who looks up at him barely able to stand up. Evil tries to pick him up in a fireman's carry but night of fights back with elbows evil kicks the knee then throws him into the corner but night over versus and then evil reverses that and throws him into the exposed ring corner! EVIL charges with the lariat and only gets a 2 count. EVIL slams him down and gets another 2 count.
EVIL tries for his finisher but naito fights back gets out of it and then slaps EVIL across the face and hits what the announcer call Esperanza? Idk what it's called I'm just assuming. It's like a destino but the hits it by jumping over the back of EVIL. Both men struggle to get up but NATO delivers the first elbow while both are on the ground evil returns the favor and they trade back and forth. They trade three elbows each and then Naito lifts EVIL up and hits more elbows to the face of EVIL. EVIL grabs Naito by the face and Naito hits the springboard DDT. He lifts EVIL and then lands a Gloria for 2 count. He tries destino but evil backs him up to the exposed corner and Naito moves out of the way slamming EVIL into the corner instead! He then lifts EVIL onto the top rope and hits a top rope hurricanrana! He hits a very slow destino that EVIL kicks out of at 2! Naito tries another destino but his legs won't carry him that far.
Evil reverses and then throws naito into red shoes in the corner he brings him down and yup ... Jado is coming down the ring with a kendo stick. Ishimori comes in and dives in Naito. He hold Naito down for Jado. Hiromu comes in for the save and hits Jado with a super kick and Ishimori gets flipped into the corner! Hiromu fights them both out of the arena! What a save!
Naito is standing in the middle of the ring, staring down EVIL who is left in the corner... But he's holding a chair! he's holding a chair naito doesn't see it and then EVIL hits him in the stomach with it! EVIL then hit him square in the head with the steel chair that comes apart in evils hands!
Evil sets up his finisher but naito reverse is it and kick some straight in the mouth for it nitro hits a Samoan drop on evil on the ring corner gets up on the top rope and then hits a swinging top rope DDT that gets him a 2 count. Naito picks him up and hits a valentia! Naito picks up evil who hits red shoes in the eyes and Naito in the balls at the same time! Bushi comes over to cheer on Naito! Except that's not bushi... He hits Naito and pulls out a rope that he uses to strangle Naito! Assassin style! You know the rope with the bars you hold onto? Who the fuck is this? Red shoes is now up and taking to "bushi" meanwhile EVIL stomps on Naitos nuts in the middle of the ring! "Bushi" is still there.... It's obviously a BC guy but red shoes doesn't know! EVIL HITS EVERYTHING IS EVIL!? WHAT THE FUCK!? WHAT. THE. FUCK. THE CROWD IS DEAD SILENT WHAT THE FUCK JUST HAPPENED!?
Naito just lost... Naito just lost the belts... What the fuck... "Bushi" gives a thumbs down while EVIL holds the belts up... It's obviously Gedo under that mask... This fucking sucks. This seriously fucking sucks what a shit finish. Everyone is booing EVIL idk what he's saying. Wait that's not Gedo under there! Idk who that is though 😅 they start jumping Naito and Hiromu comes in for the save again.
EVIL won... 2020 got worse somehow.
2/5 what a shit finish. The match was great but that ending really fucks it up man...
Naito is carried away and Hiromu starts shit talking EVIL in the middle of the ring. I have no idea what he's saying but it's obviously serious business. I think he just challenged for the belts??? EVIL doesn't reply. He takes his belts and leaves.
Hiromu is left wailing in the ring... Whether in rage or sadness I don't know... Wow

“Aw, Carm, this is a beauty,” Zack praised, running his hand affectionately over the dashboard. “Listen to her purr.”
“Why are all your cars girls?” Ivy asked disdainfully, hiding her pleasure at seeing Zack so excited again. So genuinely happy.
“Because I love women and I love cars—and I also love boats and planes, and trains, and motorcycles, and...”
“I’m glad you like it,” Carmen said, getting in. “We need a quiet car for quiet getaways. Can’t leave a noisy car running at the ready.”
“This is gonna be so great,” Zack said, hugging the steering wheel like a long lost lover, “This is already so great.”
Ivy rolled her eyes.
“So,” Carmen said, sitting next to Ivy in the backseat, immediately grabbing all of her attention and making the space seem so much smaller, “tell me about yourself, partner.”
Ivy felt her heart leap into her throat.
“Well, I’m from Boston,” she started, trying to make herself sound as casual and natural as if she were meeting a normal, regular human being, not the (muscle muscle muscle HOT GIRL muscle pretty) partner-in-crime of her dreams, “born and raised, haven’t gotten out much. Enrolled in the toughest undergraduates my college had to offer for my major last year and breezed through ‘em so fast I took nothing but graduate courses this last semester and a half.” She didn’t normally feel any particular need to brag, but, well, she really wanted to impress this woman who’d been raised from infancy to be a thief and special operative. “Make gadgets. Joined the white hat hackers for something to do and ended up gettin’ invested.”
“They’ve got a certain allure,” Carmen agreed, nodding. Ivy was too tongue tied to make any kind of slip about the other alluring component of her very current situation.
Underneath them, the car purred just a little louder, and Ivy realized that it had been accelerating smoothly, seamlessly, without her even noticing. The scenery was rocketing past them.
“Zack, I don’t think we should get caught by police this early in the game,” she said, just a tiny bit irritated.
“Relax, Ivy, we’re in the middle of nowhere! Where are the cops gonna be in the Midwest? Hiding in a corn field?”
“Most major cities in Midwestern America do have state patrols on the interstate not far out from city limits, precisely to catch people who share that mindset,” Carmen informed Zack, oozing that well-earned, deceptively simple confidence that Ivy knew was deserved. “And while it’s known for corn, a large number of farmers grow soybeans as well, which can be chocolate coated and eaten like candy, harvested for oil for biodiesel fuel, and can even be turned into crayons.”
Ivy stared at Carmen, rapt.
“The Midwest is often referred to as ‘tornado alley,’ or its more traditional moniker, ‘The Great Plains.’ The plainlands are notorious for their green, electric skies that foretell tornadoes, and also have some pretty stark shifts through seasonal changes. Though, no one ever seems to think that spring lasts long enough.”
“Well aren’t you just a walkin’ geography book,” Zack said, sounding about as stunned as Ivy felt, and the car slowed a little.
“Thanks. But Zack is also right. This far from the city, nobody with a badge is going to see us until we hit the next small town.”
There was a beat, and then Ivy heard the engine rev, climbing speeds with renewed vigor. “Awwww yeaaaah!” Zack crowed.
Carmen turned back to Ivy, and she kinda hoped she wasn’t blushing as hot as she felt like she was blushing. Carmen was an ocean. Ivy didn’t get to see much change on the surface, but there was a deep power and awe-inspiring quality to Carmen that lied just beneath, so close to the surface Ivy could practically feel it thrum. She wondered what it would be like to see Carmen storm.
She was staring, oops, uh, conversation, normal-people talk!
“So, tell me about you,” Ivy choked a little on the word, “partner.”
Carmen arched a single eyebrow and Ivy internally bemoaned how it wasn’t fair. She could never make her face do that! “I thought Player already debriefed you.”
“He gave me the basics,” Ivy nudged Carmen’s shin with her sneaker, like she would any other casual, regular-friend acquaintance. “I wanna hear from you.”
“It’s gonna have to wait,” Zack warned from the driver’s seat, “according to Player’s GPS, we’re gettin’ close.”
Far off, a semi truck was just becoming visible. Carmen nodded with determination, brown eyes locked on the distant figure.
“According to our intel, V.I.L.E. has probably already stolen the pipe. It’s an important relic that dates back centuries, and V.I.L.E. knows it’s a sacred part of Oglala Lakota culture. Plenty of shady museums are willing to pay a hefty price for the stolen artifacts of Native cultures. We’re going to make sure it gets back where it belongs.”
Ivy felt something electric in her pulse—and for once it wasn’t attraction to this pretty lady. It was something bigger, faster, far more exciting. Like the buzz of working with Zack to get into mischief, but amplified, nameless.
“Right,” she agreed, with a passion she was surprised to feel. They all activated their comms—tiny, closed-route devices Ivy made that linked them all to Player and each other—and got ready.
Zack slowed as they got to the semi, and Carmen leapt deftly through the open top of the car onto the hood. Zack kept a steady pace, bumper to bumper despite moving down the interstate, and Carmen fastened one of Ivy’s gadgets to the lock. The door of the truck swung open and—
Carmen had dodged and blocked before either of the twins had registered there were assailants inside. Deftly, competently, confidently, Carmen jumped into the metal cavity and punched an operative straight in the nose.
“Really, it’s like none of you remember to protect the face,” Carmen said as she dropped low to avoid a punch and then slammed the underside of her aggressor's chin. “Coach Brunt gives very good advice. You should listen.” Ivy distantly noted that the audio quality of their comms was perfect, exactly what she’d hoped.
Ivy watched Carmen move like Zack watched his video games. Utterly immersed, not wanting to even blink. There was fire in her gut, sparks inside her veins, a drumming noise inside her head that swelled in her lungs and threatened to burst from her ribcage.
Then someone got an arm around Carmen’s neck and Ivy knew, instinctively, in her very bones, what she needed to do. She pulled the grappling hook from her bag and leapt into the passenger seat, one foot propped on the rim of the windshield as she attacked the hook.
“What are—Ivy, Ivy you haven’t tested that yet!”
“Perfect time then, eh?” Ivy asked, barely hearing her brother over the thrum in her skull and veins. She aimed while one of the operatives picked himself up off the floor, grabbing a baton while Carmen struggled against the arm pressed to her windpipe.
“Not a perfect time! Now is not the—“
With a click and a woosh and a surge forward off the windshield, Ivy was airborne. She kicked her legs out hard and planted her feet right into the fellow with the baton, cushioning her landing but knocking him out cold. And maybe breaking a rib. Who knew—who cared?
“Hiya!” Ivy screamed as she rounded on the other man who—who was. Not standing anymore. Carmen stood, like she hadn’t been choked or bothered at all, and Ivy felt just a tiny bit silly for her shout but mostly she felt alight with something that could’ve been adrenaline.
“Nice gadget,” Carmen praised, and Ivy grinned, heady with their seeming victory.
A booming noise and blue light from the open door grabbed their attention, and the truck gained speed like it was a bullet train.
“That’s Dr. Bellum’s nitro,” Carmen informed swiftly, scooping Ivy up in her arms, “We’d better bounce.”
Carmen leapt, Ivy in her arms like a princess in the embrace of a valiant knight, from the semi’s open door into the open top of the car that was just barely still close enough for them to make the jump. Carmen shoved Ivy down as they landed, so that she bounced into the seat, head knocking against the headrest, and Ivy held onto Carmen, keeping her body from rocketing into the metal rim of the roof (or worse, toppling over it). Carmen and Ivy were both breathing hard, eyes locked as Carmen flopped into the seat, and they shared twin grins as Zack slowed the car and took off down a highway, branching from the interstate into the endless, gentle hills of the plains.
“That was great,” Carmen told Ivy as she pulled the pipe from her red coat, grinning triumphantly, “especially for a rookie.”
Ivy laughed and punched Carmen playfully in the shoulder, still high off whatever this was. “That was amazing. Zack, Zack, we are never going back to Boston.”
“Don’t have to tell me twice!” Zack crowed as well, “I mean, unless there’s a caper there.”
“I will allow one excuse for Boston capers. Oh my god!” Ivy said, laughing again, flopping bonelessly in the backseat as the adrenaline crashed. “That was so cool.”
“Yeah,” Carmen said, sounding pleased.

Walkthrough: This level is pretty simple and straight forward. When you start off, just open the crates you see, and collect the items inside (fruits usually). The first enemies you will come across are the Cirus Seals. They will be scooting across your path from one hole to another. Just simply jump over them or slide through them.
After passing the Seals, you should soon reach a Spring Crate, use it to bounce up and smash the crates above it. Once done with it, destroy it for some more fruit. Shortly after you should also run into your first TNT Crate. Do not spin or slide into it, or else you will die. Rather, jump on it and a 3 second timer will start. Just make sure you are away from it before it explodes.
Keep moving on and you'll find your first Slot Crate. Quickly destroy it or it will turn into a unbreakable crate! Afterwards is a gap, just jump over it and watch out for the Penguin on the other side. Just watch his pattern and then move on when the coast is clear. Make it across and you'll reach your first checkpoint.
You'll come across a small land bride across some water, just be careful and go across it slowly, and you should be fine. Be careful of the Penguin on the other side. Make it past him and you'll come to a frozen pond, so be careful, as the pond is very slippery. You'll see two Bouncy boxes first, just jump between them and bounce back and forth, racking up fruits! Move onto the frozen pond, and you will notice a few things. Some Nitro crates, don't touch them!! A Switch box, and some nearby Outline boxes. Just use the Switch box to cause them to appear. You should find two more crates to your left, and a penguin. Just bust the boxes open and continue.
You'll come to another hole to jump and three crates stacked up. Just high jump to reach the top of the crates, and then after collecting all the fruit and setting off the TNT crate. Next is another hole, but be careful, as there is a Narwhale jumping up occasionally. Just time his pattern and quickly jump across.
You'll land on another patch of frozen land, so just slide to a stop, and high jump onto the nearby Steel crates. Use Crash's body slam move to crush them. Move on afterwards to come across a Aku Aku box. Use it to your advantage, as you can take one extra hit before dying with Aku Aku's protection. Up ahead you'll see some slopes with the Ski Bunnies skiing about. Just be careful, as they are very quick to come out of nowhere. Try to make it across quickly and destroy the crates along the way.
Once pass the skiers, keep moving onwards and you'll reach a area with one of the Penguins going back and forth. You'll also come across another checkpoint. Just dodge him and work your way across the holes. It is pretty easy, but take your time if you're new.

Make it out the end of the tunnel to find a row of fruits leading to another checkpoint. Bust it open and continue on. Destroy the crates right past it and follow the fruits up the hill. You should reach a pond that isn't frozen, with 5 islands along it. There are also two other platforms. A platform with a question mark on it and another with a skull on it. One leads to the Bonus Round, another leads to Death Route which is where the Blue Gem is. But be warned, the Death Route will only be there if you have not lost a life in this level. I'll go into depth about those two routes later. For now, bust the crates on the nearby smaller islands and then follow along the one long island. If you want, kill the nearby woolly mammoth for an instant 1-Up.

After the islands, continue forward, and just follow the path. You'll soon reach the end of the stage. In this small section, you'll find a Spring Crate that will bounce you into a few Bouncy boxes. Collect the fruits from that, and then hit the nearby Nitro Switch box, this should cause all Nitro crates in the level to be destroyed, even those on the Death Route. If you've busted all the crates in this level, you should have a Clear Gem waiting for you. If not, don't worry. Either go back and find the few you're missing, or just go through the level again. Once you step into the warp, you're done with the first level.
Bonus Level This Bonus level is pretty simple. Okay, amazingly simple. Just jump onto the Question mark platform when you reach it, and let it take you to the Bonus level. Once there, you just have to just move to the right, in a side view. Just make sure you destroy all the boxes you come across, as there are 25 of them. Once you destroy them all, just reach the platform at the end to return where you were. That is all there is to it, very quick and simple.
Death Route For the Death Route to be active, you must not have died going through this level. If you do, just go back to the warp room, and come back to the level. Anyways, you should know where the Death Route is, it's across from the Bonus Level platform. Once there, you'll land on a frozen area, with tons of Nitro crates all around. Just maneuver your way around them, or jump over them, and be sure to watch out for the Penguins going back and forth. Once off the frozen water, you'll go back onto regular land. From here, watch out for the Seals going across the path, and then you have two large holes in front of you, with Narwhales in each. Just quickly run across the small piece of land, or just jump if you think you can make it.
Next up it gets a bit more complex. You'll come to a gap, just run and jump across it. Once you land, watch out for the penguin. Then you must jump across another gap, this time with the angry skiiers going back and forth, and they can be rather difficult. Just try to time them correctly and quickly land and jump across the following gap. It may be best to use Crash's Super Slide High Jump.
Once you made it across that last gap, dodge the nearby Nitro crates, and come out to a opening with another area of frozen water. You should notice a small cliff to your left. Jump on it and work your way up. Now you'll see a hard part, a regular crate next to a Nitro crate. This can be rather difficult to get across. So try using the shadow Crash makes to help you a bit. Just try to jump across and land on each regular crate. You should be able to make it up and around the cliffs, and into the warp to finish the level.
LEVEL 2: TORNADO ALLEY

Walkthrough This is Crash's first flying level, and first time up with the Glider. You take control of the Glider, and just shoot down the generators. But make sure you get near them before trying to take them out, otherwise, shooting from a distance is worthless. You shouldn't have much of a problem with this level, just fly around holding the X button. This should allow you to keep firing rapidly, as you have no ammo limit. The generators are located in a circular fashion around the level, with one towards the center. There isn't much else to say about this level, as it is extremely simple. Be sure to destroy all the crates attached to balloons to recieve your Clear Gem from this level.
LEVEL 3: BAMBOOZLED

Walkthrough This stage is another somewhat simple stage, although it is getting a bit more difficult. You're stuck in a hamster ball basically, and must push your way around. You may want to practice at the beginning in the roped off area. Either way, once you're ready, just follow along the platforms. After you come around the first tree, you'll find a lift. Just wait until it comes down, and then move onto it.
Once up top, just continue onward. Keep an eye out for crates and smash them as you see them. You'll soon come to a netted-type path. Just try to say inthe center, or else you could accidentally go over the edge. But note that, if in Time Trial mode, going over the edge around the spiraling sections, and landing on a lower area, may cut off a few seconds.
After you come around off the netted route, you'll come back onto the platforms and reach the first checkpoint. Just smash it and continue up the hill. You should notice a few Nitro crates on a higher platform. Don't worry about going there, you can reach the area, but all it is are Nitro crates, so it is worthless to go there. Rather, just continue down the hill and around, and you should soon reach another short, netted area. Roll through it, making sure to smash any crates along the way. Once off it, you continue on as normal.
You'll soon reach a area in which you can go two ways. First go to your left, but be very careful, as Nitro crates are sitting around. Maneuver your way through them, and find the four crates at the end of the platform. Once done there, work your way back up and continue to the right. The first thing you'll notice is a lift. Take it up and get the four crates at the top, then drop off and continue.

Another netted area is up soon. This is similar to the first, as you have an area in which, if you have enough speed, can hop over the ledge and down to a lower area. Either way, work your way through it and you'll come out to a wide area. Here you will find four crates, take some time to smash them if you need them, then move onwards. You'll have to push your way up a hill, then come down along a 'S' shaped area. Once you reach the end, you'll come out to some more platforms.

Work your way up and down these platforms, along the top side of the screen, you'll find some fruits near the edge. Just be careful going for them, or you could end up off the side. Once you reach the end, you have two routes, one to the left or right. Both lead to the exit, just one is easier than the other. To the left is a shorter, but much more dangerous path. Full of Nitro crates. To the right is another lift, shortly followed by a bridge. This is the best route, in my opinion. It's much simpler, and a bit faster, due to the lack of hazards. Once you reach the end, you'll find a Nitro Switch box, and then just drop down to find the warp.
LEVEL 4: WIZARDS AND LIZARDS

Enemies Wizards Knights Bats Dragon

Walkthrough Wizards and Lizards is the toughest level so far. It requires a lot of memorization for the Dragon chase section. At the beginning, just go straight and you'll come up to your first enemy, a Knight. The best method of killing him is sliding into him. And you must either kill him or jump over him, or else he'll continue blocking your pather. Shortly after him is a Wizard, who will fire a green substance towards you, which will turn you into a bat. Just dodge the green substance, and kill him using the spin move or slide. And do not worry about the green substance following you, it will die off shortly. Up next is a bat, be careful near it. Due to the way this side section is, it is hard to tell if you're lined up correctly with the Bat or not. Just jump and spin past him, that way if you are close, you will kill it. Now you should be able to continue on a bit, destroying the next Bat and Knight. Afterwards you will come across the first checkpoint.
After the checkpoint, you cross a short, curved bridge. Right at the end, on your left you will see a Bonus Level platform, go through it to collect a few of the crates in this level. Details of the level are below under the Bonus Level section.
Now, after passing the Bonus Level platform, you'll come across smoke, meaning a pit right before you, and once you reach this area, a Dragon will pop up from behind and start chasing you. Jump over the hole and run! You'll soon come up to a few more holes. First there is one on the left, then shortly after, one on the right. Keep going and you'll run through a door, the Dragon will get caught momentarily. You have some time to pick up the nearby crates and bust the checkpoint open. Don't stay near the door though, or the Dragon can still reach you. Afterwards, continue on.
The Dragon should now bust through the door, and continue chasing you. Just keep moving down the hall, and don't worry much about the crates along the way. The Dragon takes out most, if not all the crates as he is chasing you. The next set of holes are spaced out a bit farther. One is along the right side and the other is a little farther ahead, on the left side. Reach the next door and get the next checkpoint crate. Then continue on with the Dragon hot on your heels!
This next section is a bit more difficult. Now there are not only pits, but Nitro crates along the way! The first pit is near the beginning, to your left, you should be able to easily dodge this one. Just keep an eye out for the Nitro crates! The next pit is on your right, and two Nitro crates on your left. Stay left and jump over the crates. The hall will have a small section up soon, which will require you to jump over the pit that is in the way. Then you'll come across a whole row of Nitro crates soon, just quickly jump over them. Once pass these crates, there will be two more, which aren't in your way too much, so just continue on until you reach the bridge. Once at the bridge, the Dragon will stop, but you can't. The bridge will collapse once you touch each piece.
Bust the checkpoint up, and then go around and continue on. Just dodge the pesky Bat nearby, and slide into the Knight. You shouldn't have much of a problem going across this next section, as the only real harm are the annoying Bats that bug you. When you reach the fireplace, you'll notice little fireballs bouncing out. Don't worry about them, they are harmless. Right past the fireplace is the Death Route platform, remember where it is, and make sure you can survive long enough to make it there. You should be nearing the end now, just move forward and slide into the Knights that block your path. You'll notice a bunch of Nitro crates in the background, don't worry about them, rather hit the Nitro Switch box nearby and detonate them all! Just be careful, or the Wizards near the Nitro crates may hit you with their magic. But they get taken out from the Nitro crate explosions, so no need to worry to much about them. You should now have a clear running to the warp!
Bonus Level Another easy Bonus Level. Just follow along the path, destroying the crates as you go. Towards the end, you'll notice there are a few Nitro crates, just jump over them, and continue on. Next, just bust the boxes between the two steel crates and then, as the top one bounces, jump through it quickly. Near the end there will be a section where you must jump on top of a few crates to reach a higher crate. Make sure you bounce up high enough after breaking the lower crates, that you can at least reach the high crate. If you get near it, just spin to destroy it. You should get 19 out of 22 crates for the Bonus Level. The other 3 are from the Nitro crates, which will be destroyed once you hit the Nitro Switch box.
Death Route This Death Route is a bit annoying. The first thing you should do when you reach the area, is look out for the brown floor with two black handles on it. This is a trap door if you step on it. Just jump over it and kill the Knight on the other side. It is best to slide the knight into the Nitro crates, but if you can't do that, just jump over the crates and jump over the next pit, where you'll find a Wizard. Just dodge his spell and kill him, then jump over the next trap door.
Now you must be careful, watch out for the blades that come out of the floor. Watch them closely, then run past them once you figure out their pattern. Soon after you have another trap door. Jump it and kill the Knight on the other side. Ya should have another jump, and then another Wizard. Kill him, and then be careful... you need to jump onto a small platform, with the blade moving back and forth, and then quickly jump from that, to the next platform. This can be tricky at times, so you might die a few times. Once you make it past, you have to deal with a spinning blade with a spiked ball on it. This is actually easier than it looks. The left is the easiest way to go, just wait until the lower blade has just gone pass you, then quickly run forward and get ready to jump. Don't worry about the spiked ball, it is to high to hit Crash! Once you make it across, you have to kill one Knight, and then the Blue Gem is all yours.
LEVEL 5: COMPACTOR REACTOR

Walkthrough Alright, mine cart fun! Just move forward at the beginning to get Crash to hopinto the mine cart. The ride is pretty simple, there are a few routes if youlean going into them. Otherwise, the best, and simplest way to reach the endis by not changing tracks. Just dodge the Nitro crates along the way bypushing left or right to tilt the cart. Also use this to reach out-of-the-waycrates. Also, you can slow down or speed up by pushing up or down. Some ofthe other tracks you can take are a bit faster, but only use them for the TimeTrials. You should also come across a jump in the tracks, in which to theright is a Yellow Gem sign. You must get the Yellow Gem in Level 22 before youcan access this route.
Once you reach the end of the mine cart track, you'll get thrown off and into alab-type area, right in front of your first checkpoint. Bust it and then goforward. At the end of the row of fruits, you'll notice some screws from theceiling. Just wait for them to go back up and then run underneath them. Thefirst enemy you will encounter is the Bomb Bandit. He throws straight ahead,so just stay off to the left or right, and dodge his bombs. After him is another set of screws, this time closing in from the sides. Just wait them outand then run past.
You'll come across the Flame Thrower next, although it looks more like a toxicwaste than flames. Either way it is deadly, just watch him for a minute, andpick up how he fires his weapon, in a sweeping pattern back and forth. Waituntil he starts sweeping back, run past and hit him with a spin. Shortlyfollowing him are a few crates. Two of them are TNT crates, so be careful.Not to mention, right after the crates are another set of screws coming in fromthe sides!
Once past that area, you'll come across a conveyor belt, and two Bomb Bandits,both throwing in a criss cross pattern. Just watch where they throw, and goright on around as usual. Soon after you'll find another set of crates alongwith some more TNT. Make sure to get the crate hidden behind the front row ofcrates, then detonate the TNT!
Crash Bandicoot Ps2 Wrath Of Cortex
Next up is another conveyor belt with a enemy behind it, another Bomb Bandit.Destroy him and then you'll come across yet another conveyor belt, and somemore enemies. This time they are Lab Assistants. They are the same as theBomb Bandits, just in white coats. Kill them and work your way across theconveyor belt. The last conveyor belt has stopped, and has a Flame Thrower onit. Just ignore him and go past him. You'll also notic the Bonus Levelplatform tucked away in the corner. And a checkpoint just past it.
The next set of conveyor belts are easy to handle. They push you either wayand you must dodge the big hydraulic plungers. This is pretty simple though,just watch them, and when the first comes up, quickly take off and you shouldmake it across with no problem. The next belt pushes you forward, and towardssome neon laser type things. Just jump over them all, or play it safe andcrawl under the first, hop under the second, and crawl under the third. Oncepast them, you'll see two steel boxes, use the Iron Spring Crate to jump up tothe Switch box. This should cause a few crates to appear to the right.
Just across the gap onto the newly formed crates, and hit the TNT crate tocause it to explode, thus triggering the Switch box below, which in turnscauses the Crash and Aku Aku crates to appear nearby! Another Bomb Bandit isahead, just wait until he throws his bomb, then attack him. You'll come acrossanother hydraulic plunger, just watch it and run past it. There is a secondplunger, but it isn't in operation. Just destroy the Switch box between themand then continue on.
Up next is a set of 'crate stairs' in which you must bounce up the crates toget to the Steel crates to stand on. They are Bouncy crates also, so if you want to smash them, you can hit them 5 times before they bust. Once up top,just keep moving. You should reach a corner with a few enemies who you caneasily dodge. Just move past them or kill them, whatever. Next up is a longset of conveyor belts. The first conveyor belts have only high lasers shootingacross. Afterwards, there is a Flame Throwing enemy, just dodge his flames andkill him, then you can reach the next conveyor belt. This one has a highlaser, low laser, then another high laser. Just dodge them and you're at theend. Just hit the Nitro Switch box, and then hop in the warp!
Bonus Level This Bonus Level has it's tough points, but isn't too hard. You might have a bit of trouble with it at first, but you'll get the hang of it. You shouldfind a Bouncy crate below a TNT crate. Just bounce up and down between the twoand you should be able to get all the fruits out of the Bouncy crate before theTNT crate explodes. Keep going forward and you should reach a Steel Springcrate. Just bounce up and land on the Steel crate. From there, just jump onthe TNT crate, and then jump across to the last crate, and use that to give youjust enough to bounce up to the crate that is higher up. By time you hit theground, the TNT crate should've detonated and exploded all the crates near it.
Next, just follow along, smashing crates as you get to them. You should reachanother set of 'crate stairs' so just follow them up, detonate the TNT on theother side and you shouldn't have much left for the Bonus Level. A few morecrates ahead, and then hop back on the platform!
Yellow Gem Path There isn't a whole lot of advice to give you here. You are stuck on a trackand must dodge Nitro crates. The only real way of getting through this isquick reaction and practice. You must remember where the boxes are located soyou can dodge them easier. Once through you pick up a gem and head into thewarp.

BOSS 1: RUMBLE IN THE ROKS (ROK-KO)
You will notice this boss fight takes place in a half sphere-type arena. Thinkof a bowl, perhaps. The first thing you will notice is that you are back inthe hamster ball. You will be facing Rok-Ko, with a bunch of rocks around him,making him into a ball of sorts. There isn't a whole lot of strategy involvedin beating him. There are no specific rounds, although this battle comes offas if it were in rounds.
You will start off with two boulders spinning around, after Rok-Ko/Crunchcauses them to fall. The object is to hit both of the boulders, turning themblue, and on 'your side'. After they are hit, they will launch up into theair and attack Rok-Ko. Be careful though, as your effect on the boulders isonly short-term. If you wait to long to hit the second boulder, it will turnback into normal. Or if Rok-Ko hits it, it will turn orange, and damage you ifyou touch it.
After the first attack on Rok-Ko, he will cause three boulders to drop thistime. It is the same as the first round, just hit all the boulders to causethem to attack him. After he is attacked again, he will regroup and cause moreboulders to drop, this time four. Just do it one more time, and he will bedefeated.

After defeating him, you will get the Tip Toe power. This is used by walkingand pressing the L2 Button. It is useful for walking along things such as theNitro crates.

Over the festive break we’ll be running through our top 20 picks of the year’s best games, leading up to the reveal of Eurogamer’s game of the year on New Year’s Eve. You can find all the pieces published to date here – and thanks for joining us throughout the year!
Video games are messy things, and Astral Chain might be one of the messiest yet. How do you even begin to describe a thing like this to the uninitiated? Perhaps you start with the story, which is as grounded as this Switch exclusive ever gets: you’re a cute cop caught in a story that’s part Hong Kong police procedural, part supernatural thriller and totally batshit through and through. Yeah, maybe that’s not the best entry point – Astral Chain tilts towards the most excessive of anime excess.
So maybe you start with the action, a fantastical extension of PlatinumGames’ well-honed formula that goes some fascinating places. It’s a nitro-fuelled Nier: Automata, a turbo-boosted Bayonetta where you’re counter-attacking and dodging with all the grace you’ve experienced in the studio’s other titles. Except Astral Chain is more than that, picking up the baton discarded by the cancelled Scalebound by being built around the bond between your character and their barely-tamed beastly sidekick.

It’s a curious thing in the hands, effectively giving you a big skipping rope to stretch out and trip stampeding bosses, or to tie up smaller fodder. It gives Astral Chain’s combat a flavour of its own, and sometimes you’re convinced your other half has a mind of its own as your Legion snarls, snapping away at the edge of its tether. What I love most about it, though, is how it’s a direct lift from Namco’s 1983 arcade game Libble Rabble, one of Pac-Man creator Toru Iwatani’s lesser-known creations.
What fluency PlatinumGames has in video games’ past (I was lucky enough to visit their Osaka headquarters last year, a typically tidy and nondescript studio space save for one corner where a mess of consoles past and present sit amidst a ragtag collection of classic games and curios, all clearly played on a regular basis), and what genius Astral Chain shows in weaving that history into the studio’s formula with such fluidity.
Oh and that’s just one small part of Astral Chain’s own wicked weave, a game that counterbalances its own absurdity with some surprisingly assured world-building, and one whose action excesses are met by moments where your cop character engages in everyday civic duty; picking up trash or simply rescuing a stray cat. How exactly do you make sense of all that? I’m not entirely sure you can, because Astral Chain, like so many video games, is an absolute mess. It proved, though, that there’s no more elegant mess than that made by the masters at PlatinumGames.

Præy - pt. 1
Immense fear is a strange emotion. It overpowers thought and takes an incredible amount of conditioning to ignore and even then may still break a man. It had been running for so long, many millennia spent trying to escape. It often questioned how far it had to run - how long it could run... Eventually the fear had become too much and regardless of strength it’s mind broke. Insanity had set in and so to preserve itself it had decided to fragment itself. It’s body and mind broke apart, shattering like glass and falling to a nearby planet as invisible particles.
Cain had a strange dream that night. A dream involving shapes - a lot of them, many of which he didn’t have names for. It was the strangest dream he’d ever had, as though he was actually lucid and simply watching the dream progress. The next day he went to school for his first day of fourth grade. Cain was an interesting child and often referred to as “gifted” by his teachers. He had black hair which his mother always kept shaved and his eyes were hazel. Only the teacher had noticed that as the day went on his eyes seemed to change color by very small increments, shifting from hazel to gold.
The doctors could not find any illness or disease and believed Cain to be in perfect health. His eyes simply changed - it was likely some kind of interesting mutation and they would continue to monitor him. Cain spent about an hour every Friday at the doctors office checking in for the next five years of his life. No form of cancer ever emerged and no medical problems arose. Cain had only gotten smarter and had begun to pass classes far easier than any normal student could. The state had even begun to recognize him as he consistently became an outlier in standardized testing.
When Cain had reached the age of 14 is when the world had changed dramatically. Suddenly a lot of people’s eyes began to change color, mostly younger children but occasionally teens or even more rarely adults. The color wasn’t uniform and as data was gathered Cain discovered, at least as far as the doctor knew, even his gold eyes were unique. The most common colors were red, blue, green, and grey. A year later the eye colors suddenly became more important as the first instance of powers was observed when a sixteen year old boy with red eyes stopped a building from burning down. During the interviews he had said he just felt like the fire responded to him, like it was listening. He had told it to extinguish and it followed. A month later he had burned a classmate over an argument and claimed he did it on accident.
Eye colors were rapidly categorized into power types. People with eye colors were documented and put on lists in government agencies. The Department of Magical Influence was created with the purpose of managing any people with these powers. Anti-magic sentiment quickly spread as teens died from accidental power usage. It isn’t strange for teens to get into fights but when one could summon fire or freeze someone it turned lethal.
A new president was elected on a campaign of sentiment and understanding of these new magical citizens. He had claimed that these people were not monsters, but instead confused teenagers just being teenagers but with more power and responsibility than any before them. He reasoned then that they needed somewhere safe to be, to learn. Some would call them schools and others internment camps. Only powers considered dangerous were taken from their homes and put into the schools - if you could shoot lightning or teleport you were taken while those who could make plants grow or create light were allowed to live normal lives.
Cain was a topic of controversy within the DMI. He was distinctively magical with his eyes, clearly one of the first if not the first, and the only with his color. And yet he hadn’t presented any kind of magic in his six years of having it. They had decided to simply classify it as super intelligence due to his test scores and leave it at that. Especially when they still had to deal with the few able to resist capture...
John was a twenty two year old man. A good-for-nothing ex-con hired by the DMI for one reason - he was gifted a power, one he could use to assist in capturing others with power. His eyes weren’t colored any different, but instead glowed. His natural blue eye color lit up his face in the night as he sat in the car awaiting orders. “And uh.. Mr. John Mercer, the file neglected to mention what it is you do.” The man in the front seat asked. “Your superior didn’t want to alarm anyone so my power is redacted in the files.” John replied. “Alright, so we’ll keep the rest of the men in the dark. But I’m leading this operation so I need to understand what all the cards in my hand are, you dig?” The man said. John considered this. “My power was classified as ‘predator.’ I have incredibly sharp senses and can easily track prey, as well as have increased physical ability when hunting. Some of the more powerful predators have the ability to physically morph into animal-like hybrids, however, I am not that strong.” “So if I’m understanding this right, you’re hear for when we fail so you can track down that thing and bring it back?” The man asked. “I intend to assist for the entire duration of our mission. If all your men die or you call a retreat I still intend to finish the mission or die trying.” John replied.
The cars had finished lining up. The blockades were set. Seventy men from the department were out in force - even authorized to bring proper assault rifles (even if they weren’t automatic.) John had brought only his favorite weapon, a Pfeifer-Zeliska. It was an exceedingly rare firearm only made upon request since it was a revolver chambered in .600 nitro express, a round designed to drop big game. He liked to shorten the name to Zeliska. The revolver is over a foot long and weighs nearly fifteen pounds.
“Alright Daniel come out slowly with your hands raised. This is the DMI, you know why we’re here. We promise if you surrender you won’t be-” The megaphone suddenly emitted a horrifying squealing sound followed by crunching metal as it’s length was compressed, almost looking like a large metal needle before the end facing the speaker was shoved into his mouth and out the back of his neck. Horrible gurgles and muffled screams came from the man as he fell to the ground trying to get the thing out. One officer turned and leaned over to try and help as his gun suddenly fired of it’s own accord, spraying up as the trigger was repeatedly pressed and hitting several other officers on accident. Gunfire erupted as the house was shredded, wood and glass spraying as bullets impacted it. A gun was ripped loose of an officers hands before impacting his chest hard enough to go through it, causing ribs and spine to hang out the hole in his back. The gun lifted him off the ground as he cried in pain and his body was furiously rammed into other officers, injuring them and breaking bones as their comrades still living body was used like a bludgeon.
Suddenly the gunfire stopped. It took a full second before every officer looked down and realized their guns safety had been switched on. Every shard of glass suddenly lifted and whirled around like a horrifying storm of razors. The cloud of glass moved among the ranks of men as they attempted to turn the safety off or run away. A streetlamp ripped free of the concrete and was used as a giant bat, denting cars and crushing bodies as it swung. The chaos ceased. The lamp fell to the ground, crushing a man who was sitting behind cover. The shards of glass stayed impaled where they were or fell to the ground. The whimpers of pain and occasional screams escaped from the many injured.
As the officers lined up to give Daniel a chance John had already silently moved around the back of the house. When he heard the megaphone stop followed by cries of pain he opened the back door as stealthily as he could, moving inside. John rolled to the side as a knife suddenly slammed the wall where his head was. A man was in the door way, looking at John through the corner of his eye. His right hand was moving, outstretched in the direction of the officers. He moved his left hand and several knives came out of his coat before lining up, pointing at John. The knives launched at an incredibly speed but John jumped as high as he could, pressed his feet against the wall near the ceiling and launched himself off it at Daniel.
The knives found their home in the wall and floor John had previously occupied. John found himself suddenly impacted on the side with a table that splintered on impact, sending him off course into the floor. Daniels face was complete concentration as four chairs found themselves relived of their legs - sixteen wooden posts floating in air. One launched at John and he attempted to dodge but was too slow as the post slammed into his left arm, breaking bone as it splintered around it. The hit from the table had most likely broken or at least bruised his ribs as he lay on the floor trying to catch his breath.
“You have no chance. I don’t know what kind of power you have but it clearly isn’t helping.” Daniel said. Wooden posts launched, piercing through Johns legs and arms, pinning him to the wall and floor as he grunted through gritted teeth. Daniel turned and began moving both his arms as he turned his full attention to the situation outside. The gunfire stopped and the screams picked up en masse. “You know.. You aren’t the first person to say that.” John said, almost growling as he did. Daniel turned as he heard wood cracking and breaking, only to see Johns muscles glowing, almost seemingly on fire as he stood despite injury. The knives pulled free of the wall and started to move at John before an incredibly loud gunshot rang out and the knives fell to the floor. Daniel fell to the ground, a fist size hole through his chest where his heart used to be. Blood painted the door frame he had been standing in. John collapsed to the ground.
John next woke up in an interrogation room. “You know I fucking hate these, right?” He asked. He had stopped questioning how they healed him, he assumed they had someone with that power. The new scars burned and ached but it was better than being dead. The man he knew simply as “Mr. Shade” entered and sat across from him. Mr. Shade had made his title very clear the day they had met, identifying himself as the head of the DMI and a very impatient man. “I understand your frustration John, but you must also understand the feelings of the widows that resulted from the way you handled this.” Mr. Shade said calmly and slowly. John knew Shade didn’t care about the widows or lives lost, he only cared about the reputation loss. The things they’d say at the next budget meeting.
“I did what was best. We were against one of the most powerful telekinetics out there. According to the report you gave me he’s been active for four years - long before the information about our kind was public. And yet he’d been able to hide it while training himself. My research into telekinetics told me that splitting his attention was required to stop him.” John said. “It may have been calculated, but could you not have gone in first? Perhaps if you’d have charged in there the officers could have opened fire and killed him quickly.” “But then I may be dead, and my debt isn’t paid yet.” John quickly replied. “I find it hard to believe. Every time we get you back from a mission you should have been long dead and yet aren’t. You’re stronger than you like to admit. Either way I agree that you’re right, but telling the men that isn’t going to help their perception of you. It’ll be harder for you to do your job now.” Mr. Shade replied as he stood. He left the room. John wasn’t cuffed and he knew that he was allowed to leave so he excused himself.
When he finally got back to his apartment he decided to rest. He took off his clothes, sat his Zeliska on the night stand, and sat on the bed. He had begun to wonder... But now it was all but confirmed. He had been sent against more and more powerful fugitives and with each one he killed he felt.. Stronger. It was absolutely noticeable after killing the telekinetic. That guy was able to wield multiple objects while fighting two different battles. His predatory senses were stronger and he felt a dormant power, something he could call upon when hunting. But out of all these things, the fact that his senses still told him to run from Shade was most horrifying. Instinct told him that to Shade, he was prey. It didn’t make sense.. His eyes were just normal after all.

Awesome 200-Plus Image Photo Gallery from zMAX Dragway and the NGK Spark Plugs Four-Wide Nationals
NHRA drag racers revved up this past weekend, multiplying horsepower and speed at the NGK Spark-Plugs Four-Wide nationals at zMax Dragway in Concord, North Carolina. As the name implies, racing was stacked four-wide, which adds to the noise and the drama. While not a new concept, Four-wide drag racing has been revitalized by Bruton Smith at his tracks in Concord and Las Vegas and the fans seem to love it.
Only zMAX Dragway and The Strip at Las Vegas offer four-wide competition. Seeing four cars changes the game, there’s twice the action and twice the thunder.

Four-wide racing is nothing short of spectacular—especially at night. The pro drivers burnout, stage, launch and race four at a time, both in qualifying and during eliminations. This creates a new challenge especially during staging. Some love it while others hate it.

Why is it so exciting? Once the cars fire up, all your senses are escalated, especially when they’re burning nitro. The cackle is amplified, and when burnouts begin your eyes bounce across the lanes to catch each car. Next, they back up and the excitement builds. The crews lift the bodies, make the adjustments, and then each body is lowered. Drivers inch forward and once staged, both trees flash and there’s an instant thunder and a mass of header flames that light the sky. The roar is intense. And when all four drivers make a full pull it’s like nothing you’ve ever witnessed. It’s even crazy to see four ’chutes deployed at once.
Jack Zimmerman went wheels-up with his beautiful 1971 Dodge Challenger. Zimmerman runs a 440 six-pack in B/SA.
Gasser mania!
Top Fuel and Funny Car is most impressive, but that’s not to take away from the Pro Stockers, the Bike riders, and the outlaws in Pro Mod, who also race four wide. Each class has it’s own challenge and adding two lanes makes it a tad harder.
Wally Clark and his daughter Chelsea made the trek from Niagara Falls, Ontario with their 2003 Pontiac Super Stocker.
Competition Eliminator is packed with a variety of combinations, from doorslammers to front-engine slingshot dragsters.
NHRA national events are also filled with sportsman classes such as Stock, Super Stock, Competition Eliminator, Super Gas and Super Comp. And in Concord, fans were also treated to Supercharged Gassers and Jr. Dragster as an exhibition. In addition, NHRA fills the pits with special displays and a manufacturer’s midway to keep everyone entertained.
