Aquí iré subiendo capítulos de Impractical Jokers subtitulados al español a medida que vayan emitiéndolos por TruTV Latinoamérica. Y mientras me sea posible, claro. El subtitulado proviene de ellos y yo me ocupo de capturarlo del canal de cable. Para los usuarios de celulares, es recomendable usar un navegador web para la correcta visualización de la página en lugar de la aplicación.

Subir todo esto costó bastante trabajo y tomó mucho de mi tiempo así que me hice una cuenta en Cafecito.app para que, si lo sienten, puedan contribuir con unos pesos, lo que me ayudaría un montón y me alienta a seguir subiendo contenido de estos cuatro bromistas que tanto queremos. The Hunger Games: N. Sane Edition

Inspired by gamingkotatku’s absolutely divine Kirby vs The Hunger Games posts.

Even the Crash Bandicoot universe, wacky as it may seem, is not immune to the Tribute Treatment. The lineup of Tributes is listed below:

As you can tell, even I’m afraid to learn who rises on top. May the odds be ever in their favor.

1st Day

Everyone begins spreading out across the Taiga region except Koala Kong and Rilla Roo, who argue for no reason and murder each other. The rest of the day goes surprisingly smoothly.

Too dumb to live, I suppose.

Oxide and Trance plant a trap near the edge of the woods.

Pinstripe finds a pile of pebbles and takes them

Ok, not sure what he needs them for.

Dingodile goes on and on about random things without paying attention and falls into District 4′s trap.

That didn’t take long.

2nd Day

Ripper Roo is bored and decides to frolic around like crazy

Ami and Megumi gather discarded Wumpa Fruit for themselves

Ya sure, girls?

Crash twirls around like heck, bumps into Ripper Roo, gets licked, and succumbs to Blue Marsupial germs

But why, Crash? Why?

Megumi and Ami snack on the definitely-not-poisonous Wumpa Fruit. They get full and throw the last one far away

Madame Amberley gets feisty and exerts her anger on Megumi for whatever reason. Ami won’t forget this

UNFAIR!

3rd Day

Ami asks Penta Penguin and Baby T if she can borrow the Nitro Crate they grabbed from the Cornucopia. They accept and hand it to her

Thx!

Polar and Pura don’t take the game seriously and start play-fighting with each other

N Brio finds a stone and begins to sharpen it

Ami sneaks up on Amberley and gives her a taste of her Nitro Crate

My darling!!!

Nina finds out about Ami’s scheme and decides to take action

Tropy and Brio work together, turning the stone into a sword with enough handiwork

Cortex follows Tawna for the heck of it, but Tawna takes notice

Polar eats a discarded Wumpa fruit, and he passes on from food poisoning

Twisted, cruel, sick fate! YAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGHHHH!!!!!

4th Day

A killer honeybee swarm forms thick clouds ablaze with buzzing

Tropy and Brio try to fight the bees with their stone knife, but fail

N Trance tries to hypnotize the bees, but he overheats and loses his momentum

One of the insects inadvertently goes straight down Papu Papu’s esophagus. *Gulp*

*Shudder*

Coco tries to extract electricity from the bees’ stingers, but fails spectacularly

Cortex is left with no choice but to sacrifice himself to make the bees stop

You call THAT logic?

5th Day

Spitter plant infestation!

Oxide gloats about becoming the survivor until one of the plants sprouts directly below him…

Everyone tries to dodge the onslaught of bombs being spit out by the flora

Pinstripe futilely defends himself by tossing the pebbles he held onto at the oncoming bombs

So I guess all this foreshadowing isn’t worth it. Your loss, Wise Guy.

Ami rises to the occasion and weeds out the scum; alas, her fatigue gets the best of her

Wait, how come no one else was willing to do any weed whacking? If they did, poor Ami could have made it through this whole ordeal like it was Wednesday afternoon.

Nina tries to get her revenge, but finds Ami’s lifeless body already spread across the turf

WHO WROTE THE SCRIPT FOR THIS!?!?!?!? (Yeah, I know)

6th Day

Winter falls over the Taiga

Tiny starves and decides to maul N Gin

Nina poaches Pura for his fur

U mad, sis?

Tiny becomes envious of Nina and fights neck-and-neck with her for Pura’s pelt until hypothermia catches up to them

I still can’t believe they made you suffer… like this. There should have been another way.

7th Day

The moment of truth, and my lungs can’t take it

You know Tributes can’t be friends forever, cruel as it is.

Penta Penguin, in an effort to turn the tables in his favor, attempts to betray Baby T in order to claim the honor of being “Penguin yay one,” and the two of them proceed to engage in the final duel…

So it’s the scaly, of all characters, that makes it out of the hullaballoo. Might be ironic, but at least he’s one of MY bois. Well done, son. *Applause* I had faith in ye.

Showdown in the Dark Night! Joker vs Shadow CH8

<8> The Last Confrontation

Hachi gently elevated the Sky Joker into the skies, and beneath it came the loud rumble of an engine. It was the sound of Shadow's vehicle of choice, the Black Speeder. Riding on its seat and keeping her eyes on the road was Ai.

"Queen-san, hurry!" Ai turned back and shouted, in time for Queen to somersault and plop onto the back seat.

"Hurrying!" Queen yelled back, and the bike started. "Whoa there." Queen grabbed onto Ai's shoulders reflexively. Ai steered attentively, speeding down the garden paths at breakneck speed.

"Queen, Dark Eye. How are things going?"

"There are way too many cops! We just shook them off and we're getting out now!"

"True. Looks like that pair hasn't given up either."

"...!?" Queen looked over her shoulder to see the spinning police lights of several patrol cars coming up behind them. At their lead was the mini-patrol car carrying Ginko and Momo. The Devil Chaser was in her element.

"Stop right there, Phantom Thief Queen!"

"You aren't getting away!"

Ginko stepped harder on the gas. The car accelerated, closing the distance between it and the bike in front of it.

"Dark Eye, they're going to catch up!"

"I'll take care of it. We're going down the narrow paths." Ai rotated the handlebar and turned down a labyrinthine road. It was just barely wide enough for a car to pass through. So they wouldn't brush up against the hedges lining either side, she drove precisely without dropping speed.

But just then, a deafening engine sound came from behind. Looking back, they could see the two-seater car was pursuing them between the hedges with just as much precision.

"Stop right there--! It'll be another billion years before you can outrun the Devil Chaser!" The former pro racer's skilled driving closed the distance little by little. "Here I come, get ready! Power Winch!" Ginko smashed a button next to the wheel. The mini-patrol car's front trunk opened wide, and a crane arm with what looked like a giant hand on it popped out. The arm stretched out straight ahead and grabbed onto the back of the Black Speeder.

"!"

"Gotcha!" Using the wire as a tightrope, Momo ran towards them. "Your time's UPPPPP!" Momo took out her tonfa and turned a mechanism on the grips. A blade slid out of the ends of the tonfa.

"Dark Eye, keep driving!" Queen stood up atop the back seat and, keeping her balance, gripped her sword.

Oniyama looked out the window of the salon. Joker escaped again, just like he always does... Oniyama's gaze was still fixed on the ascending Sky Joker. Yet Oniyama had no means to chase after it. He had spent too much of the budget on arming the officers on the ground, and hadn't used any of it for aerial pursuit this time.

It's all over... Now I'll never chase after Joker again. I'll submit my resignation tomorrow. Oniyama's shoulders dropped, and his massive head leaned forward.

Hayami had exited from the salon into the hallway, and now observed the vast forest outside the window, his fists clenched. "...Joker pulled one over me again..." Hayami hated showing emotions in front of others. Deductions were about thinking objectively, detached from any emotion. Feelings were a detriment to streamlined deductions.

Stifle his emotions and corner the culprit... That was Hayami's modus operandi as a detective. However... back to back with Singapore, Joker had once again absconded. It was difficult to rein in his feelings of frustration.

While Hayami was trying to steady his mind, he heard the pattering of someone running over from the other end of the hallway. He turned around, only to stare dumbfounded. "Yer..."

The pattering stopped. In front of him stood Rose, panting.

The riotous exchange of steel continued. Queen's sword and the tonfa blades clanged and clashed above the precarious wire, sparking each time they met. They were already within each other's personal space. Now that it had become a close-range battle, when Momo spun her tonfa around, Queen could punch or kick back.

Even as the keen blows assailed her, Queen blocked the strikes on time and turned them aside. She had learned this redirection fighting style precisely so she could offset her own lack of physical strength.

"Not bad, Queen."

"I won't lose to a cop!"

Momo's punch grazed her nose. Queen leaned back to dodge, then pushed herself toward Momo in an attempted body-slam. But Momo grabbed her belt and threw her. "It's over!"

At that moment, Ai swerved. The wire shook from side to side, and Momo lost her balance.

"Ghh!"

Queen quickly tried to get back into stance, but Ginko was speeding up and making the wire slacken. Both of them jumped back onto their own vehicles.

"Thanks, Dark Eye."

"Queen-san, we'll be out of the forest soon."

"OK."

Behind them, Momo had landed on the mini-patrol car's roof and was talking with Ginko over the radio. "Crud, Phantom Thief Queen really measures up. She's tougher than I thought."

"Let me handle it, I'll turbo-boost and ram them!"

"Roger!" Momo braced her legs, just as Ginko pressed a button beside the wheel. The rear engine popped open, and a mechanism with rocket nozzles burst out.

"Nitro Turbo, on!" Ginko overrode the speed limiter and stomped on a pedal next to the accelerator. The engine's RPM rose with a vroom, and jets of flame spurted out of the nozzles. For a moment, the patrol car was off the road and in the air.

Immediately, it plunged towards the Black Speeder at extreme speeds. Momo gripped her tonfa. "Here I come, Queen!"

"I'm right here!" Queen held her sword out in front of her.

The moment Momo came close to Queen, they exited the forest, and Ai turned the handlebar. Up ahead was a cliff. Queen and Momo were thrown into the air, where they exchanged edged blow after blow. Neither one gave in, their blades clashing fiercely. But in terms of raw power, Momo had the advantage.

"ORYAAAAA!" Momo's tonfa weighed against and pushed Queen's sword aside.

"Ah!"

"You're mine!" Momo swung her tonfa down. Just as its blade was about to strike Queen's shoulder...

Claaang! The tonfa was stopped.

"What!?" It had been blocked by the gold hairpin Queen had plucked from her hair. "No way..."

"Gigigiih...!" Queen pushed the hairpin's tip back against the tonfa. It was in this position that the two of them landed on the cliffside. They tumbled, raising a cloud of dust, and came to a halt just barely before rolling over the side of the cliff.

"Queen-san!"

"Momo, are you okay!?"

Ai and Ginko stopped their vehicles and ran towards them. Panting heavily, Momo stood up. "...You used the hairpin..."

Then Queen slowly got up and held the hairpin out in front of her. The hairpin expanded and burst with a pop.

"Wha...!?" Momo and Ginko's eyes went wide.

"Huff, huff... There's no way I'd use treasure for that, is there? This was just the bait to lure you all away," Queen said and grinned.

Rose retrieved the golden hairpin from her bosom. When Queen was sent flying by Momo's surprise kick, she secretly made a fake hairpin out of Image Gum and handed the real one to Rose.

"That's..." Hayami looked up at Rose, dumbfounded.

"The hairpin my brother stole from here. I came to give it back. It's the least I can do to apologize..."

"......" After staring at the hairpin for a while, Hayami told her, "I can't take that."

"Shadow and Joker stole that from here. I haven't taken it back by my own means."

"But I stole it from my brother."

"......"

"You can't take it... because I'm a phantom thief?"

"......" Hayami spun his squeaky wheelchair over and looked out the window. Thanks to Joker, a section of the hanging garden was gone. It was like someone had taken a single bite out of the donut.

"...I had an feelin' ya might be a phantom thief the first time we met."

"Eh...?" Rose looked at Hayami in surprise.

"Or actually, I just got tha feelin' you might know Joker and Shadow. When we talked, ya seemed weirdly familiar with the pair of 'em."

"Unbelievable..." Rose breathed, shocked. "But... if you knew, then why did you have that conversation with me?"

"I thought I might be able ta draw out some tidbits about Joker or Shadow. But tha more I talked to ya, the less ya seemed like a bad person."

"......"

"Had I known ya had strange powers, I wouldn't have spilled my plan."

"So that's how you felt..." Rose clenched her fist and spoke. "...I'm sorry."

Then Hayami said with a smile, "Don't be, it was my slip-up. I didn't expect Shadow's sister'd have supernatural powers."

"......" Rose stayed silent and stared at her feet.

Hayami went on, as if he had just had a revelation. "So, yer his sister... that's what's made Shadow so earnest."

"Eh?"

"We talked about it in Singapore, din't we? What sets me and Shadow apart. Why's it that Shadow steals so heavy-handedly without thinking..."

"That's because... Oniichan isn't a great thinker..."

This was met with an empty ha ha ha of laughter from Hayami. "Ya might be right about that one. But still, it takes zeal and pluck to charge in without thinkin'. That pluck isn't for protectin' himself, but fer someone else's sake."

"Pluck for someone else's sake?"

"Right. I deduce fer my own sake and fight against Joker. Joker's after the treasure fer himself, too. But Shadow charges straight in ta get the treasure fer someone else's sake, without regards ta his own well-being..."

"...For someone else?"

"For you." Hayami turned around to look into Rose's eyes.

"......" Rose didn't speak, instead averting her gaze a little.

Seeing this, Hayami sighed a little. "Now, you should hurry up and scurry away. I'll let ya slip by this time," said Hayami, before wheeling his chair around so his back faced Rose.

"......" Rose spoke one disconnected phrase to Hayami's back. "...Thank you, Hayami-san."

"Sure..."

Then Rose mustered up her courage and said one more thing. "Um... Hayami-san, I wanted to see you one more time. So... I was happy that you talked to me..."

"Eh...?" Hayami turned around. But Rose was no longer there. A chilly breeze blew in from the open window. The golden hairpin lay conspicuously on the windowsill...

The garden suspended from the Sky Joker floated gently through the night sky. Eventually, the garden came over the ocean. On a moonless night like this, the sea breeze was crisp.

In the exact middle of the garden, heavy clouds hanging above, Joker observed the flora. Clearly, roses were the focal point of this garden. The many colors of roses bloomed just as lavishly in the night, and for a while they kept Joker's attention. Now this is a hanging garden...

The garden was a slightly curved, rounded shape, and near the outer edge of the arc lay a gazebo. The gazebo had a lovely roof, benches to sit on inside it, and was situated at the perfect spot for overlooking the garden. The manor owner himself probably sat on that bench to appreciate his garden. Which meant that Komachi's Gilded Chrysanthemum was visible from it. As soon as Joker shifted his gaze that way, he saw a silhouette above.

"Black Hole Big Bang!"

With a piercing scream, Shadow with umbrella in hand dropped down, and Joker jumped to the side. BANG! Shadow's umbrella stabbed into the ground, carving a stark crater in the flowerbeds. A flurry of rose petals scattered into the air. The flower petals fluttered about as if caught in a whirlwind and encircled Shadow.

"What's your deal, Shadow!"

"Fu fu fu, so this is where Komachi's Gilded Chrysanthemum is..."

"...You followed Hachi, didn't you. Be careful, what if the Gilded Chrysanthemum was there!?" Joker stuck a finger out at the fresh crater.

"Fu fu, then I'd deal with the consequences when they come. But right now, I'm choosing to deal with you first before the treasure!" Shadow pointed the tip of his umbrella at Joker. His eyes were filled with an earnest light.

"Say that again..."

"Get ready, Joker! Bloody Rain!" Shadow fired a beam.

"...!" Joker couldn't dodge. If he did, it would hit the flowers...!

"Guh...!" Joker took out a card from his breast pocket and held it before the beam. Immediately before it hit, he let go of the card and got away. The beam struck Joker's card and exploded.

"...!" The blast wind battered Joker. Luckily, the flowers seemed to be safe. But Shadow's offense continued without a moment's rest. Each time Shadow changed direction and fired, Joker took out a card to intercept it. Miniature explosions dotted the garden, as Joker darted around at superhuman speeds to protect the flowers from Shadow's beams.

"Pesky..." Shadow lowered his umbrella for a moment. Thanks to Joker's efforts, the flowers were mostly unscathed.

"Shadow!" Joker shouted. "Is Rose still mad?" he asked Shadow, stalling for time.

"...Why does it matter to you?"

"Well... she seemed pretty angry in Singapore. She wasn't with you today, right?"

"It's none of your business..." Vexed, Shadow avoided eye contact.

Once he did, Joker grinned mischievously. "Hmm~ And here I was under the impression that you were after Komachi's Gilded Chrysanthemum to get back on Rose's good side."

"Wha...!" Shadow quickly turned away from Joker.

"Guess I was right. That reminds me, Rose used to like taking pictures, didn't she. Were you trying to get her a rare flower to photograph?"

"T-That's not what I was doing!"

"Then what were you doing?"

"......" Shadow clammed up for a moment. Then he spoke quietly. "...She's been dreaming."

"Dreaming?"

"I've been hearing restless noises from Rose's room as of late..."

"......"

"Rose was asleep for years on end. She might be having nightmares because of it. Like ones about the past..."

"......" Joker listened with respect. On occasion, Joker too would recall the time when Rose and Shadow's village was attacked. Those memories had most certainly not faded for Rose. They were a scar in her heart that would never heal.

"...So you thought that Rose might sleep well if she could sniff the Gilded Chrysanthemum, which has powerful soporific properties?"

"......" Shadow didn't answer. After that, he gave Joker a glare, flapped his cape, and made a high jump backwards. He landed on the roof of the gazebo and looked down on Joker. "But there's no need for me to do that now. I only have one goal now! To paint over the light, as your shadow!" Shadow raised his umbrella and shouted at Joker.

"......" Joker looked up at Shadow and readied more cards from his pocket. The pair maintained eye contact, not budging--

Just then, Hachi's voice came from his phone. "Joker-san, it's time for it to bloom!"

"......" Joker didn't respond. He wouldn't shift his gaze to the garden, instead keeping his eyes on Shadow. At his current position, Shadow could see the entire garden. Which meant that Shadow would be able to see Komachi's Gilded Chrysanthemum bloom. He would aim there, no doubt about it... In which case...!

A gust of wind blew between the two. Joker and Shadow moved simultaneously. Joker charged toward a corner of the garden. Shadow jumped towards the same place. Where they headed, a single small flower was blossoming. Its dainty, bright-yellow petals layered tier by tier, arraying themselves into a brilliant corolla. It was truly worthy of the name Komachi's Gilded Chrysanthemum.

Shadow held his umbrella straight out in front of him and fell towards the Gilded Chrysanthemum. Joker got there a step ahead of him and held up a card against Shadow.

"Joker! Your weakness is that you're too scrupulous!! You can't dodge an attack if it means it'll hit treasure instead! Here I come! Black Hole Big Bang Special!" Shadow whirled his jet black umbrella and accelerated. It looked as if an obsidian meteorite was crashing down.

"Ghh...! Shooting Star!" Joker shone his cards at Shadow. The instant the approaching shadow collided with the cards' light, both of them were hit by a heavy impact and blown back.

"Gwaaaah!"

"Ooof!"

Joker and Shadow crashed against the garden ground. It was about then that Rose reached the garden, flying up from the surface. She landed on the other side of the garden, looked around, and spotted the two of them lying down.

"Oniichan! Joker!" Rose ran over to them, just as Shadow got to his elbows and was unsteadily trying to stand.

"Gh...!" Shadow got upright and looked over at the Gilded Chrysanthemum. The small flower was withering away. "......"

Shadow grinned. "Ha ha ha! I did it! I destroyed your damned treasure!" Shadow's cold laughter echoed in the darkness of night.

"Oniichan..."

"Protecting the treasure became your undoing. Thanks to that, I could find exactly where the treasure was and strike! That's your weakness!"

Rose looked over to Joker, who was slowly getting up with a groan. "My weakness...?"

"Yeah, you heard me!"

"True, I do prioritize treasure. But you have a weakness too," Joker said with a grin. The devilish smile unsettled Shadow.

"W-What? My weakness?"

"Yeah, you heard me!" Joker suddenly snapped his fingers. When he did, flowers all over the garden began to bloom in response to the snap. All of the flowers, just like the small flower before, were brilliant yellow chrysanthemums.

"W-What is this...!?"

"Neither of us have ever seen the real Komachi's Gilded Chrysanthemum before. So I took advantage of that. What you just destroyed was a fake I made."

"But when did you make this many fakes..." Then Shadow realized. "You didn't...!"

"Yeah, it was when you attacked me just earlier. Shadow, I took advantage of your weakness."

"...You what...?" Shadow gritted his teeth and glared at Joker.

"Your weakness... is that you're too earnest. When you go on the offensive, you get too fired up to notice anything else. Let alone treasure, you stop seeing what tricks are being set up. I took that opportunity to set up a whole bunch." While Joker was running around the garden dodging Shadow's beams, he had set up his own tricks. "You won't be able to win against me by sheer desire alone. That said, I can't hate that weakness."

"Ghh... Then where's the real Gilded Chrysanthemum..."

"Over there." Joker pointed to a small flower near the gazebo. It barely stood out more than a weed, a modest chrysanthemum with pale yellow petals.

"That's the Gilded Chrysanthemum..."

"Yep. That's the only flower that bloomed at the right time." But the Gilded Chrysanthemum was already losing its petals and drooping. "Looks like the moon's out now..." Joker looked up to where the clouds had dispersed just enough to reveal the moon behind them. Komachi's Gilded Chrysanthemum only bloomed in the darkness of night... The flower only blossomed for a brief time, and now it had met its fleeting end.

"Heh, still looks like you didn't get the treasure either!" Shadow mocked.

"Heheheh~ you sure?" Joker stepped close to the Gilded Chrysanthemum and picked up something that looked like a ping-pong ball. "When the flower bloomed, I threw some Image Gum its way and captured just its fragrance. Though I didn't have enough time, so I only managed three of them~" Joker then aimed one of the ping-pong balls.

"W-What are you trying to do!"

"This♪" Joker flicked the ping-pong ball with his finger. The ball burst with a pop right under Shadow's nose, releasing the fragrance.

"Y-You... 're... snzz... zzz... zzz..." Shadow's eyes immediately shut as he fell down with a thud, starting to snooze gently.

"And that's a wrap."

"Oniichan!" Rose ran over to Shadow. Shadow was snoring quietly, a peaceful look on his face.

"Rose," Joker addressed her, staring up into the sky.

"Yes?"

"Tell Shadow something. 'It was more fun than I expected.'"

"...That'll make him mad again."

"Hee hee hee, that's my intent." Joker looked over at Rose and beamed. It was a smile brighter than the moonlight itself.

IWGP HEAVYWEIGHT AND INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH

EVIL is now bullet club. He's got a new cool intro video for it too. I can't help but laugh at the commentary guy who loves EVIL and is just desperately waiting to see him. EVIL comes out. Hair down, no scythe, awesome cloak and dope ass gear holy shit they made EVIL COOL!? WTF??? Oh yeah Gedo and Jason are there too. Aw fuck there are AK 47s on his pauldrons! Fuck he's so FUCKING COOL.

Naito comes out now. Crowd is pumped. Impeccable three piece suit. Black with a blood red inner lining. Glittery? Beautiful long coat, dragging the belts side by side... he looks... calm, and collected yet, torn...

One of my biggest gripes about EVIL was always his gear but now he's wearing tights, a dope ass gladiator style skirt thing, and the top half of his singlet says EVIL on the back with an AK coming up the spine.... He's so cool now I'm not even fucking kidding. And it's the gear I swear, I like bullet club but he didn't need them to make this change...

Oh shit red shoes is kicking out the BC lol they're gone. This should just be EVIL and Naito.

The bell rings and evil rules outside just kind of casually walks around the ring while naito it's just waiting for him. Evil seems very hesitant to get in the ring. Naito actually charges evil on the outside and then throws him against the barricade just throws him around back and forth into the barricade! hits a low dropkick and then drags him to the outside where he slams him into the announcer table. You can tell night I was not having any of EVILs shit right now. Naito drags him by the hair over into the ring.

He wraps him up in the ropes and chokes him. Naito put him in a cravat take some of the ropes and slams him down he Irish whip some of the ropes evil reverses gets a kick in the face for it and then evil hits a lariat that sends naito to the outside. evil then proceeds to throw him around into the barricade back and forth returning the favor for earlier. Evil wraps up Naitos leg in the barricade and then stomps on that same leg. Evil takes one of the announcer tables and sets it up by the ring, he lifts Naito but Naito gets out of it. Evil leaves Naito lying on the ground then goes over to the announcer that loves him, take the little toy scythe on his desk and breaks it! He throws the pieces at the announcer and the guys jumps the barricade and charges EVIL! He gets thrown against the barricade for that... Oof... Fuck man this is a different EVIL entirely. The crowd is booing the shit out of him...

It goes back to taking naitos leg and wrapping it in the barricade. He's targeting the right leg. He then rolls into the ring and starts undoing the corner pad. Evil patiently waits for naito. Naito gets in the ring at 10. Evil throws naito in the exposed corner. Then he does it again. Then he moves on to striking the leg of naito. Key locks in ankle lock and naito tries pulling evils hair to get out of it but it doesn't work. Naito is angrily pulling and shoving the head of EVIL but he has to get to the ropes to break it and he does.

Evil is taunting naito and stomping on both of the legs. Naito chops evil across the chest but evil does not go down he taunts Naito. They struggle over a brain buster until Naito gets thrown over but lands on his feet and then charges EVIL with a dropkick to take him down. Night owl angrily strikes an evil throws into the ropes it's a back elbow then a low dropkick to the back of EVIL. He hits his combination in the corner with the leg sweep and the swinging dropkick. Naito gets a 2 count. Naito keeps dragging evil around by the hair evil tries to fight back but naito catches him and then hits a backbreaker to the knee then he puts evil into a crucifix armbar that EVIL breaks with the ropes. Naito tries the German suplex but evil counters and slams naito into the mat. EVIL slaps Naito around taunting him. He grabs his leg but naito fights out of it and takes EVIL down with an elbow to the head. More of those back elbows to the head. Over and over. He lifts EVIL by the hair, and tries more elbows but evil dodges and then dodges a kick from Naito. He lifts Naitos leg and slams the leg into the mat. Evil does it again, Naitos knee hits the mat hard each time.

Evil and naito are on the apron of the ring and evil lifts him by the leg but naito fights out hit some of the back elbow and then a neck breaker down onto the apron! Night to readjust the table that was outside climbs up on the apron and grabs evil he looks over to the crowd who then starts clapping and cheering for him. Naito struggles to get the power bomb from evil who grabs hold of his face, then lifts Naito up and slams his knee down through the table oh my God! The table splinters and Naito is left rolling on the ground holding his knee. EVIL goes under the ring for chairs and traps Naitos knee in the closed chair! He grabs the other chair and is ready to strike but red shoes stops evil by standing between them with the half of the busted table! Naitos back is clearly bleeding, EVIL sits in the ring waiting. The count starts and Naito slowly crawls back to the ring... He jumps in with one leg at 19.

Evil proceeds to stomp the leg of Naito and gets him in a scorpion leg lock. Naito keeps reaching for the rope but he starts to fade.... He lunges for the rope! EVIL let's go and Naito is just lying there in a heap. Evil comes over and keeps stomping the knee. He's really enjoying this. Evil smiles down in Idaho who looks up at him barely able to stand up. Evil tries to pick him up in a fireman's carry but night of fights back with elbows evil kicks the knee then throws him into the corner but night over versus and then evil reverses that and throws him into the exposed ring corner! EVIL charges with the lariat and only gets a 2 count. EVIL slams him down and gets another 2 count.

EVIL tries for his finisher but naito fights back gets out of it and then slaps EVIL across the face and hits what the announcer call Esperanza? Idk what it's called I'm just assuming. It's like a destino but the hits it by jumping over the back of EVIL. Both men struggle to get up but NATO delivers the first elbow while both are on the ground evil returns the favor and they trade back and forth. They trade three elbows each and then Naito lifts EVIL up and hits more elbows to the face of EVIL. EVIL grabs Naito by the face and Naito hits the springboard DDT. He lifts EVIL and then lands a Gloria for 2 count. He tries destino but evil backs him up to the exposed corner and Naito moves out of the way slamming EVIL into the corner instead! He then lifts EVIL onto the top rope and hits a top rope hurricanrana! He hits a very slow destino that EVIL kicks out of at 2! Naito tries another destino but his legs won't carry him that far.

Evil reverses and then throws naito into red shoes in the corner he brings him down and yup ... Jado is coming down the ring with a kendo stick. Ishimori comes in and dives in Naito. He hold Naito down for Jado. Hiromu comes in for the save and hits Jado with a super kick and Ishimori gets flipped into the corner! Hiromu fights them both out of the arena! What a save!

Naito is standing in the middle of the ring, staring down EVIL who is left in the corner... But he's holding a chair! he's holding a chair naito doesn't see it and then EVIL hits him in the stomach with it! EVIL then hit him square in the head with the steel chair that comes apart in evils hands!

Evil sets up his finisher but naito reverse is it and kick some straight in the mouth for it nitro hits a Samoan drop on evil on the ring corner gets up on the top rope and then hits a swinging top rope DDT that gets him a 2 count. Naito picks him up and hits a valentia! Naito picks up evil who hits red shoes in the eyes and Naito in the balls at the same time! Bushi comes over to cheer on Naito! Except that's not bushi... He hits Naito and pulls out a rope that he uses to strangle Naito! Assassin style! You know the rope with the bars you hold onto? Who the fuck is this? Red shoes is now up and taking to "bushi" meanwhile EVIL stomps on Naitos nuts in the middle of the ring! "Bushi" is still there.... It's obviously a BC guy but red shoes doesn't know! EVIL HITS EVERYTHING IS EVIL!? WHAT THE FUCK!? WHAT. THE. FUCK. THE CROWD IS DEAD SILENT WHAT THE FUCK JUST HAPPENED!?

Naito just lost... Naito just lost the belts... What the fuck... "Bushi" gives a thumbs down while EVIL holds the belts up... It's obviously Gedo under that mask... This fucking sucks. This seriously fucking sucks what a shit finish. Everyone is booing EVIL idk what he's saying. Wait that's not Gedo under there! Idk who that is though 😅 they start jumping Naito and Hiromu comes in for the save again.

EVIL won... 2020 got worse somehow.

Naito is carried away and Hiromu starts shit talking EVIL in the middle of the ring. I have no idea what he's saying but it's obviously serious business. I think he just challenged for the belts??? EVIL doesn't reply. He takes his belts and leaves.

Hiromu is left wailing in the ring... Whether in rage or sadness I don't know... Wow

Novastrike training w/ Radar. The pair are sparring lightly; dodging, exchanging very light blows. Mostly they look like they’re running around unable to catch each other.

Grindor walks by the training room and overhears the pair, so he walks in to watch and see what’s going on for a bit. He asks if he can join after a while, and although surprised Radar and Nova agree.

The trio start sparring. At first it’s an equal 3-way challenge, up until Novastrike is kicking both mechs afts because she’s backstabbing them the moment they turn away from her. So they gang up on Nova and she’s being evasive after a while; leaping, bounding dancing out of the way of blows, using the wall and even the two mechs as things to climb on/jump on/use for cover.

It’s apparent Nova has stun rounds in her guns, Grindor has his cannon set on ‘stun’ (who managed dis???) and Solarblade figured out how to cover sharp parts (swords, rotor blades, etc) with thin shield-like cover? Nova gets a clear shot between his legs and goes sliding between them, rapidly firing at the back of Grindor's knees and backstrut as she pops up behind him. The mech's spinal strut ceases up and Grindor goes down.

Radar climbs over Grindor and weakly makes an attempt to 'mawl' Novastrike. As he closes in, jaws wide, Nova transforms into her alt mode and drops her guns. She outmaneuvers the dog and headbutts him; shaking off the helm-ache and quickly 'biting' his throat. He's now "dead" and out.

Grindor begins to shift as if to stand up, and Nova transforms into bipedal; snatching up with her guns and aiming them at his helm. She states "Bang" as she aims them at the mech. Not shooting even with stun rounds because she doesn't want to shoot anyone in the helm.

Nova pivots then and there's Scorponok, who managed to finally dislodge his tail from the floor. He moves in to try spearing Nova and she dances around, making last minute adjustments to avoid his barbed tail. A few blows glance her sides and her shoulder and she curses.

Nova raises her arm between attempted strikes from the bug and aims, firing near the armor plating around Scorp's helm. He flinches, and Nova dives forward; narrowly missing being hit by Scorponok's pincers as she places her gun against his helm and exclaims "Bang". He's out now, too.

After all this, Nova's family comes in, having heard the commotion. Grindor, Scorponok, and Radar go to sit and stand on the sidelines; Scorp and Grindor nursing a lil wounded pride.

Rain Couldn’t Damp the Enthusiasm of Nearly 400 Drag Racers at the 2018 Meltdown Drags

After we flew five hours from Los Angeles to Chicago, news of a weather front moving through the Great Lakes Region wasn’t what we wanted to hear. Pressing forward up I-90 in afternoon traffic towards Byron, Illinois, to attend the Ninth Annual Meltdown Drags, our thoughts were with past Meltdown events and how much fun we’d had covering them. In today’s structured world of motorsports, the Meltdown Drags are something of a rarity. No eliminators, no record runs or qualifying brackets, no huge cash payouts or trophies. And above all, no whining. The basic premise is just go out there, be safe, and have fun!

Sanctioned by Vintage Drag Racing 101 and manned by such dedicated Midwestern gasser enthusiasts as Eric and Jeff Koopmeiners, Paul Zielsdorf, Art Zangerle, Tom Bucek, Steve Liberto, and “Smokey Moe” Petersen, the Meltdown Drags also features a car show, a swap meet, and Gasser Alley, where you may run across a vintage gasser or altered on display from the bygone era. Heck, there is even a pinup-girl contest, won this year by Cassandra Hicks.

The event also attracts its share of luminaries from back in the day, including featured guests Ed “the Cam Father” Iskenderian and gasser great Robert “Bones” Balogh, along with former Funny Car stars Arnie “Farmer” Beswick, Hawaiian and Chi-Town Hustler driver Ron Colson, Randy “Super Nova” Walls, ex-Ramchargers Top Fuel driver Merek Cherktow, and fuel altered star Gabby Bleeker.

This year, 390-plus entrants who braved the weather represented groups like the Scott Rods AA/Gassers, Great Lakes Gassers, Brew City Gassers, Nostalgia Gasser Racing Association, Southern Outlaw Gassers, Northern Indiana Gassers, Geezer Gassers, Southeast Gassers, Southern Gassers, Mid American Willys Club, Straight Axle Mafia, Twisted Pistons, Tin Butchers, Nostalgia Super Stocks, Border Bandits, Gopher State Timing Association, No Car Club, and others. Talk about a slice of vintage drag racing Americana!

Strip promoter and track owner B.J. Vangsness and his crew had to fight 3 inches of rain on Friday repeatedly prepping the track a whopping 12 times, but they were not to be deterred. As for the racing itself, it became necessary to shorten the measured distance from a quarter to an eighth of a mile on both Friday and Saturday for safety reasons (racing late into both nights). But none of the 10,374 spectators (which included visitors from Sweden, Australia, and Great Britain) seemed to mind, as the actual show itself was on the starting line. Then with a dry track surface, quarter-mile racing resumed on Sunday.

Big Beats Small Mark Benjamin, driving the Benjamin, Kasicki & Klink AA/GS 1933 Willys with blown small-block Chevy power, took on Scott Rods’ Al Borowski in a big-block Anglia. This particular heat was won by Borowski, recording a 5.62-second eighth-mile e.t.

Up, Up, and Away Muscle car collector Jim Paulson wheeled the ex–Candies & Hughes-Jake’s Speed Shop altered-wheelbase 1965 Plymouth Savoy past Wally Petersen and his 572-inch AWB 1965 Hemi Dodge Coronet. Paulson ran a best of 10.50/123.00, but since Petersen didn’t file a flight plan with the tower, no times were recorded!

Wheels-Up Chevy David Tanner’s blown small-block, chop-top 1932 AA/G Chevrolet coupe has been a regular at the Meltdown Drags. His wheels-up runs are always popular with the fans.

The Future These two small fries appear to be poised and ready to jump into Junior Dragsters and get with the program. Someday, dad, someday!

Wheelstand Battle The anticipated side-by-side wheelstand showdown between two of the Midwest’s Tri-5 wheelie kings, ex-Chicago police officer Mike Bilina and “Iron Man” Tony Shervino, failed to fully materialize. Timing between the two racers appeared to be the problem because it sure as heck wasn’t the cars.

Classical Gassers Nostalgia Gassers’ Steve Bacon and his Innocent Rascal 1941 Willys B/Gasser squared off against the Lost Wages 1956 Chevrolet B/Gasser of Robbie Roberson in a match that Bacon won.

Ford vs. Chevy Tommy Killingworth’s Miss Fit, a 1963 Ford Fairlane AA/GS running out of the Southern Outlaw Gassers group on pure Ford power, faced Randy Stone’s Bootlegger A/Gas 1955 Chevrolet shoebox, which won this particular heat.

Colson Stude Pitside attractions at Meltdown 2018 included the former Colson & Wood/Scott Hammack AA/Gas 1941 Studebaker coupe. A Pennzoil ad from the March 1963 HOT ROD, which was displayed with the car, extolled back-to-back class records: 11.64/118.42 at Oswego, Illinois, followed by 11.33/131.78 at Cordova. At the wheel was Ron Colson, who also earned fame driving the Chicago Patrol, Hawaiian, and Chi-Town Hustler Funny Car (among others).

Stead(y) vs. Crazy Marty Stead driving the Stead Speed Shop 1941 AA/Gas Willys went off against fellow Scott Rods circuit member Brian Spotts and It’s Crazy, his 1952 AA/G Anglia. Running on a 5.60 index, Stead posted a winning. 5.64 seconds in the eighth-mile.

Black Magic Check out Alex Case’s street-driven 1965 Dodge Coronet. It is powered by a Keith Black alloy Hemi with Stage V twin-plug Hemi heads, twin magnetos, a Danekas blower, and eight (count ’em!) Stromberg carburetors. Unbelievable!

Missing a Few Another oddity to be found in the Gasser Wars display was this blown Chevrolet Hemi V6. We’re not sure about the who, what, or why, but the pintsize Hemi sure drew a lot of attention.

Holeshot In round one of the Scott Rods show, Mike Kalinowski’s Un-Finished Business AA/Gas ’52 Austin took on Jeff Cryan and his wheelstanding 1933 AA/G Willys known as the Phenomenon. Can you guess who won?

Burnin’ and Churnin’ Nostalgia Super Stocks member John Grinwald and his Gold Digger 1965 AWB Dodge put on one heck of a show for Meltdown Drags fans Saturday with eighth-mile smoky burnouts.

It was sparing time as they went to the training area. The teams were obviously Verdigris and Rixs vs Dino and Nitrous. Each of them geared up for the fight, Nitrous and Dino stretching and Verdigris and Rixs strategizing.

"So we know that Nitrous relays on speed and Dino is a CQC, close-Quarter-combatant." Verdigris whispered to Rixs, she nodded and listened intently. " so they're going to try to hit us hard and fast. Now if there smart they won't do that outright but it's probably what they're going to try do that most often because it's their comfort zone. First Dino threw his sword at Verdigris and Rixs. The two of them had to split apart to dodge the sword but from that Nitrous charged forward and hit Rixs with her shoulder. Dino jump forward and grabbed his sword revving up the hilt to give him a flame charge to his sword making the blade longer and on fire. He started swinging his sword at Verdigris pushing him further from Rixs. Meanwhile Nitrous downed a fire energy drink, belching fire towards Rixs, barely missing her. Rixs pulls out Phobias Tremor letting off a shot straight towards Nitrous. In a split second movement, Nitrous spun in place narrowly dodging the shot. The charge hit the ground and left the huge crater in the ring.

"Ha ha you little bitch" she looked back at the crater and then looked at Rixs, laughing lightly. " that would have definitely taking out all my aura in one shot" her face got serious as she ran towards Rixs again, with her signature green after-image. Rixs quickly rushed to get her weapon into melee configuration, it wasn't quick enough as nitrous released a bombardment of attacks on Rixs. She was jumping up into the air only to come back down punching Rixs. then when she was on the ground she would upper cut her into the air only to hit her back down. A cycle that was almost impossible to see as the quick movements of Nitrous's after image made a giant cylinder of light around the two.

Verdigris heard Rixs let out a cry, he quickly try to make his way to her by using Precision Touch to catapult himself over to her. He was stopped to by Dino who used earth dust today his blade making it more like a blunt object and smacking Verdigris back. "Hey, you don't worry about her it's youse and me." He revved his sword again now the swords blade became black. He jumped into the air and brought the sword down, Verdigris only had a a fraction of a seconds to bring Precision Touch in front of him to block the attack. but the limbs started to crack as Dino used gravity dust to make the sword heavier. The fact that it was cracking the metal that Precision Touch was made of it made it even more impressive that Dino was swing this sword around with just one arm.

The next sound Verdigris heard was a buzzer. Looking up at the board he's saw that Rixs had depleted her aura. He looked in her direction only to see Nitrous charging at him. When Nitrous was practically on top of him, standing next to Dino, he heard Rixs call out to him "VERDIGRIS, DO IT NOW!"

In a split second his eyes became completely red as they squinted, he opened his mouth as a bright green gas came out of it. It filled the entire arena.

Nitrous started coughing. "It's it's going to take a little more than some gas to st-." She stopped mid sentence as you looked over to see Dino being mauled by and alpha Beowolf.

"AHHHH!!! NITROUS WHY ARE YOU STANDING THERE!?! HELP ME! HELP ME PL-" the rest of the sentence was drowned out by the sound of him gurgling his own blood as the Grim tore him to shred. Blood and limbs flew everywhere as Nitrous could do nothing but stand there and watch. Even though she fought so hard to rush over and help her teammate and lover she could do nothing but stand there and watch him get torn apart.

At the same time, Dino watched in horror as the tall dark man that his girlfriend has been running from for so long stood right behind her. "Nitro-." He didn't even get his full sentence out before the man put his hands around her head snapping her neck all the way around so her head was backwards as she fell to the ground limp and lifeless.

"You are next. Watch for me." the man said to Dino, his voice deep and distorted

In actuality, Dino and Nitrous laid limp on the ground there aura depleted and having lost the match long ago. Verdigris ran over to Rixs. "Rixs! Rixs! We did...it?" Verdigris's voice trail off as he looked down at her he knew what the look in her eyes was she had been caught in his attack as well. The gas filled the entire arena and most of the classroom. most of the kids only got a brief flash of their worst fear as they all look down at Verdigris with a scared look on all of their faces. Professor Hawk, who was closer than most of the other students, had a much stronger hallucination but was able to keep his composure. The referee was not as lucky however as he was knocked unconscious from his hallucination.

Rixs laid there, as her hallucination was just a warped and twisted memory. The memory of the hunter who came and killed her father and brothers and took her and her mother to be his personal play thing. And the memory was just on loop. Again. And again. And again

Verdigris sat on his knees as he looked around the entire classroom. All he was getting was looks of shock and horror all directed at him. The teacher and other staff members who have come in at this point were giving him looks of concern. He looked to his teammates for support hoping that the people who had comforted him before would help him now. But instead all he sees are there limp bodies as they live out the Horrors that he forced upon them
