About the Process:
THE INTAKE:
Each process starts with an in-depth Lifestyle Assessment conducted via electronic form. After I review your entries, I will contact you via e-mail to discuss them or we can schedule a 10-minute phone or Zoom/Video Conference. You will be providing important and detailed information about your daily habits from sleeping, nutrition, exercise, work, stress management, and so-on, in addition to any past or current medical history and medications. I will carefully evaluate your areas of concern and your goals to help us determine our next steps together to optimize your wellness.
THE PLAN: Macros to Stress Management
From the information gathered during the assessment process, we will discuss our plan for working together so that your needs may be adequately met and a plan will be prepared for you then e-mailed. Your plan can be as simple as following a macro-based nutrition plan on your own with a set follow up date, weekly accountability support, or a more intensive curriculum customized to your needs.
- THE PROGRAMS:
Each program is tailored to the needs of the individual client. Most of them involve nutrition guidance, fitness recommendations (or referrals to work with a professional in the area), and mindset training. Specific Food Meal Plans and Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) plans are not provided. Specific Food Meal plans tell you what foods to eat and when. MNT plans are written meal plans for medical weight management or treating disease. While you will be given food recommendations, principles and guidelines, it is not a prescribed meal plan that tells you exactly what to eat for each meal.

Meet The Coach: Heather Wright
Heather has been guiding individuals through lifestyle transformations using a holistic whole-body individualized approach for over 18 years.
She has developed a set of healthy lifestyle principles that encompass all of the crucial components of well-being: mindset, mindfulness, scientific education, preparation and planning, and healthy coping strategies that she includes within her wellness programs.
Though she does NOT provide prescription meal plans or Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) for management of disease, she is able to help individuals create healthy lifestyle habits with nutrition, fitness and healthy lifestyle behaviors that may indirectly improve ailments and symptoms associated with disease processes.
Heather is a graduate of Keiser University’s rigorous Radiologic Technology curriculum allowing her to be Nationally Registered as a Radiologic Technologist, also earning a special credential in Bone Densitometry. She has completed over 5,000 course hours of holistic nutrition, functional wellness and alternative treatment education and certification programs over the years. Her experience and training in both traditional western medicine and eastern medicine environments give her the ability to look at an individual's struggles from all angles and often work in-conjunction with other medical professionals as part of her clients' total wellness team.
She is also a published clinical researcher with a background in mental health and a true passion for human health and wellness.
She has two beautiful children, two sassy dogs and a loving husband.

“ stop staring at me and focus on the meeting.” you subtly text your girlfriend from across the room. You were sitting behind the computer so that you can control the slides and she was sitting with the rest of the team. You shoot each other a quick smile and redirect your focus towards the presentation. Once the meeting is over you grab your laptop and head towards the entrance. You were then stopped by Jorge vilda. “ As a part of my coaching staff I expect you to be present at my meetings not just with your body but also with your mind.” you look at him confused. “ giggling and smiling at your phone while I was talking is not acceptable.”
“ sir it was just one text.” you try to justify yourself. “ Well tell your boyfriend that while you are in camp this team is your number 1 priority.” you didn't have a chance to say anythiçng because he left as soon as he finished talking. You brush off his comments and text your girlfriend about her whereabouts. You then head to her room as she instructed you. When you enter you put your laptop on the table and find your usual place next to her body. You nuzzle on her chest and just lay there as she strokes your hair.
“ tough day?” she asked alexia.
“ something like that.” you respond. You then turn around so that you can face her.
“ Your free kicks were amazing today at practice. You might even be the number 1 in the upcoming games. your reaction time is also over the charts. It's near perfect.”
“ This is becoming my favorite thing in camp.”
“ what me telling you about how good you are?”
“ no, you sharing the bed with me.”
“ You know I can't stay for long. If he finds out about us we both are out of jobs.”
“ how would he know? Please just tonight and I won't ask you again. I really need you.” Once alexia asked something of you you couldn't say no. Besides, you really missed her. “ okay but just for tonight.” you then kiss her and cuddle with her for the rest of the night. *
Since you didn't come back to your room your phone died. So as soon as you sneaked out of alexia’s room, headed to yours and plugged it in. Once you got out of the shower you unlocked it to find 10 missed calls, and 6 messages from none other than vilda. You panic as you open the messages.
Why are you not answering? Why are you not in your room? Where are you? I can't keep looking for you all night? Fine if you don't answer i will go look for answers myself?
Your heartbeat was faster than it had ever been. You take a deep breath change out of your robe and pick up your phone to call him.
“ conference room now.” he says as soon as he picks up leaving you no room for debate.
Once you go to the conference room in which you were alone with him. He pointed to a chair so you sit there he doesn't though he kept standing. You found yourself speechless.
“ I employ you with my team because I trust you. I think you have good judgment. But you failed me.” you feel a lump form in your through. “ You failed me not only with your choice of lifestyle but also who you choose to corrupt and involve with you in this messed up situation. .” you close your eyes so that you won't cry while he still stands in front of you. “ I gave you a job, a good one. I thought you were my right hand and that you would replace me when i decide to leave. But forming an indecent relationship with one of my players is off limits.” you feel a knife jam in your heart and a tear leaves your eye. “ Your relationship is wrong and shouldnt have happened. You are lucky I like you so I am gonna give you a chance to change. Break up with her and apologize to me and you can keep your job and she won't be called up anymore.
His last sentences changed your stance from scared to angry.
“ Who the hell do you think you are?” you snap.
“ I am the one who gave you two jobs and I am the one who can take it away from you. Plus I am trying to correct your choice of lifestyle because it is wrong.”
“ choice of lifestyle. You have to be fucking kidding me. I love alexia putellas, i love a woman. Does it bother you that I love her? Well go fuck yourself because nothing will tear us apart. And if you take this job away from me I will sue you even if it's the last thing I will do in life.” you were angry and furious.
“ Nobody wants you here. The players feel uncomfortable because of your new relationship as confessed by the captain last night. So sue me if you want you won't win. Now hand over your badge, get your stuff and leave. You are fired." His blast words left you lifeless. “ as confessed by the captain last night” last night you were sleeping with alexia so it had to irene. You move on autopilot and almost break her door as you knock so hard. Once she stood in front of you you didn't find it in you to scream or fight.
“ why?” you ask, sounding defeated.
“ He asked me where you were and he threatened to kick me out of the team.” she said calmly.
“ So you rat me and your friend out. You couldn't have told him I went for a run. We are friend irene. I didn't think you would betray me like that. I trusted you with the thing I love most in life and you took it away from me so that you could protect yourself. You could have lied.” you say crying.
“ It was all bound to be exposed with time.”
“ Is that what you are going to tell yourself so that you can sleep at night? You didn't have to tell him that my relationship made you uncomfortable. You didn't have to tell him anything. You ruined my life irene. I lost my job because of you. I will never forgive you for that. never. “ you turned your back and left. You went to Alexia's room after. Once she saw your red eyes she took you in for a hug. In her warmth you cried. You cried because of Irene's betrayal. You cried because you lost your job. You cried because you lost everything.
“ I love you. I love so much amor.” the way alexia said it felt weird to you so you got out of her hold and looked at her. She wiped the tears from your cheeks and took your lips for a searing kiss. She kissed you with so much passion and hunger it left your lips red.
“ Alexia, what's wrong?” you ask concerned.
“ He talked to me and asked me to choose between you and the team and I chose the team.” she said with tears in her eyes.
“ why is it that everybody say things so calmly like its nothing? Is my love for you worth nothing?”
“ My whole family, my father’s legacy, everyone depends on me to make them proud. I need to stay in the team for them.”
“ And what about me? Is everything we dreamt about gone in the wind?”
“ This is more painful than I could have ever imagined. I never thought we would have to leave each other. But my family comes first.”
Her words cut through your heart and left nothing behind. You kiss her again for the last time; go to your room, collect your things and leave the hotel without talking to anyone. You felt your heart turn to stone as you saw the hotel in your rearview mirror. That day you lost your job, your life, your dream, your purpose, your love and also your heart. That day destroyed you without mercy.

You sigh as you run your fingers over the tattered poster, so shiny and new only a year before, reading the now barely legible words. (Y/N) (L/N) Victory Tour, In Honor of the 9th Hunger Games, Arriving Soon in Your District. You remember your victory tour all too well. Despite the traumas you had endured as a victor, you’re grateful for how far you’ve come. Sure, you still have nightmares of your games every now and again, yet even still you have the best fate a girl from District 3 could ever hope for - you had fallen in love with a boy from the Capitol.
From an outsider’s perspective, it was the perfect love story. A doomed romance from the beginning; star crossed lovers, one might say, a Capitol boy and a District girl. When you had arrived at the Capitol for the 9th Hunger Games, near certain you had no chance of winning, your dashing mentor Coriolanus Snow had immediately taken a liking to you. He took you under his wing and coached you through your games, and when you had miraculously emerged victorious and returned to the Capitol, he decided that he wanted you for his own, and who were you to say no? Not even a few weeks before, you were just another girl from District 3, completely unknown, barely scraping by. Now you had been thrust suddenly into a lavish lifestyle with a handsome suitor to boot, adored by all of Panem; the nation’s sweetheart. After your games, you could have left it all behind. Sure, you would never be granted total anonymity being a victor, but you could have gone back to your beaten down home in District 3 and lived a relatively quiet life. After all, it’s not like the Snows had the finances to buy your freedom from your district and turn you into a full fledged Capitol citizen.
But the Plinths did.
You never particularly enjoyed Strabo Plinth as a person, but you couldn’t help but be grateful to him for what he had done for you. You had, however, immediately taken a liking to his caring wife, as well as his juxtaposition of a son, Sejanus, who clearly took more after his mother. In contrast to your rugged, analytical lover, Sejanus was gentle, complex. The two of you had become fast friends while Coriolanus had helped you prepare for the games.
And so before you knew it, this was your new life. At first you were anxious, concerned that your becoming a Capitol citizen and Coriolanus associating so intimately with a girl from the Districts would be seen as an act of rebellion and put you both in danger. However Coriolanus assured you that the nation loved you, both as an individual and as a couple. Sure, it was unexpected, yeah, it broke the (admittedly unwritten) rules, but that’s what made it oh-so fun to watch. Because at the end of the day, the games weren’t a competition - they were a show, and everyone loved an underdog.
There was only one minor flaw. You had fallen in love with a boy from the Capitol, yes, but it wasn’t the one you had so publicly given your heart to.
Your relationship with Coriolanus was practical, and that was about the only positive thing you could truthfully say about it. Neither of you were particularly wealthy or powerful individually, but together, you had potential. If you could keep all of Panem tuned in to your epic love story, you could almost certainly ensure mutual survival. You offered Coriolanus the opportunity to be known as not only a mentor to a victor, but a lover as well. And though nearly a year later his eyes had started to wander, the dapper blond had been quite infatuated with you when the courtship had begun, and Coriolanus was notoriously possessive. While his family was in the midst of financial hardship at the current moment, becoming a Capitol resident gave you the opportunity to get by still much more comfortably than you had in your impoverished home district. And who knew what volatility Coriolanus was capable of if you had rejected his advances? You had been coaxed into this very moment and had no other option but to grin and bear it. After all, all the girls you knew back home would kill to be in your position. A handsome sweetheart, financial stability courtesy of the Plinths, and the whole country all but worshiping you. Coriolanus Snow had offered you not only fame and fortune, but more importantly, security. Safety, in return for your undying affection.
Coriolanus was sweet at first. Charming, for sure. He was certainly attractive, yet he had never really had much of an effect on you. Maybe it was simply intuition. Or maybe it was the fact that he could never compare to his best friend, Sejanus Plinth.
Kind, pure Sejanus. The type of boy that, unlike Coriolanus Snow, truly made your head spin. The chemistry between you and Sejanus was unspoken, yet undeniable. However, you had already reluctantly sworn yourself to Coriolanus, and knew running off with his best friend would certainly put both you and your not so secret admirer in a treacherous situation. Sejanus Plinth was a risk you simply couldn’t afford to take.
What stung the most was that in any other situation, it could have worked. Sejanus was certainly more wealthy and influential than Coriolanus, not that that was what truly mattered to you. If you had been just a bit more fortunate, you could have had the boy you truly loved as your mentor and still have the same security and more that you were now so gracefully granted, if you had simply found your way to Sejanus before Coriolanus had set his sights on you and claimed you as his own. But unfortunately for you, your current romantic relationship was one built upon the grounds of survival rather than love.
If you were fully honest with yourself, you never truly loved Coriolanus - well, not romantically, at least. There was once a time where you had loved him as a dear friend, but in the time you had known him, he had become cruel and vitriolic. You knew from the start that he had always had it in him to become this way, though you had always naively hoped that he wouldn’t, that he would control himself, but the poison within his soul had soon taken over his cold, uncaring heart. He had become hardened by the misfortune of his family and gradually more complaisant in the ways of the Capitol, as well as secretly resentful of the great fortune of his supposed best friend and honorary brother Sejanus.
Now just over a year since you had met, the 10th Hunger Games were nearing to start. You had heard the whispers of Coriolanus sneaking around with his newest mentee, your replacement in more ways than one, Lucy Gray Baird; however it never bothered you. Lucy Gray knew that your relationship with Coriolanus was nothing more than a facade, and the two of you had become unlikely friends. You weren’t sure just how much of his affections for Lucy Gray were genuine, or how much was motivated by a desire to flatter her in an attempt to gain another victor to further his own career. Though Coriolanus’s mood was recently heightened by his new lover, he was still resentful of being assigned such an impoverished district for two years in a row and was prone to fits of rage over this perceived insult. While your home of District 3 was never much of a spectacle, Lucy Gray’s District 12 was miraculously even more down trodden, the poorest district of them all. You couldn’t help but wonder if this assignment was actually made to compliment Coriolanus, to show that if he could made a diamond in the rough out of you, that perhaps he could do the same for Lucy Gray.
As you sit alone in Coriolanus’s bed, still running your fingers gingerly along the photograph, you hear a knock at the door.
“Sejanus?”
“Oh, hey. Is Coryo around?”
You shake your head. “He’s out right now.”
Sejanus’s jaw tightens at your response. “With her?”
You nod unenthusiastically and can see the disgust and anger wash over his face as he makes his way over to you.
“It’s not her fault, Sejanus. She’s actually really sweet.”
He sits down on the bed next to you, careful to leave enough space between the two of you as to not make you uncomfortable. “I know it’s not. It’s his. Does it really not bother you at all?”
“Not particularly.”
He chuckles to himself. “You’re better than me, (Y/N). I don’t know how you put up with it. If I truly loved someone, it would kill me to see them with someone else.” He’s subtle, but you can tell exactly what he’s implying.
“Well good thing I don’t have to see it.”
“Fair enough.”
Sejanus looks sympathetically at you for a second, blissfully unaware that his kind, beautiful brown eyes are making you melt, before noticing the poster in your hand.
“Is that-”
“Yep.” You shiver, remembering your games, the things you saw… “I don’t think it ever occurred to him, the things I had to do in there.”
“It occurred to me.” He gently places his shaky hand on your knee, carefully surveying your expression to make sure you’re okay with the contact, to which you nod slightly, nearly involuntarily. “Look, I’ll say it since no one else in this screwed up place will, I’m sorry you had to go through that.”
You bite your lip, feeling butterflies in your stomach once again as he gives you that look and it takes everything in you not to lean in and kiss him right then and there. Your boyfriend could come home any moment, after all, and you quickly compose yourself, breaking Sejanus’s gaze. “It’s okay. I won. It’s the Hunger Games. It’s an honor.”
He inches carefully closer to you before speaking up again, his deep voice barely above a whisper. “(Y/N), you don’t have to pretend around me.”
You shake your head in denial. “I’m not pretending.”
“Then why haven’t I seen that light in your eyes that I love so much since you’ve left the arena? Why don’t you care that he’s always off with Lucy Gray? Why are the rules different for you than they are for him?”
And suddenly it hits you all at once. Sejanus is right. If Coriolanus is sneaking around with your friend everyday, even when they aren’t training, then what’s to stop you from doing the same to him? What do you owe him when all he’s ever done is keep you like a bird in a cage?
You don’t stop yourself, you don’t even think as you lean in and kiss Sejanus. He gets over the initial shock quickly and melts into it, cradling your body in his arms and pulling you in by the small of your back. You both pull away at the same time, not quite sure what’s gotten into you, but whatever it is, you like it.
“Coriolanus has never kissed me like that.”
“Go figure.”
His nerves kick in once again as he starts to stutter an apology before you shut him up by kissing him softly again.
“Since I first got to the Capitol… Sejanus, nothing here has felt right, except for you.”
“I could say the same about you,” he muses as he leans in once again, kissing you slow, both of you pretending the moment could last forever. If only…

I spend too much time on tiktok this week because the rivers of tears being shed there at the ballerina farm profile are pissing me off sm. it's such an easy to fall for narrative of delicate white women who are only ever victims of the world and their own choices and it piszes me off that it will only be better for her engagement which will further let her harmful platform grow and be favoured by the algorithm
even the basic framing of the article where we're meant to see this promising epitome of succesful womanhood in a form of a future ballerina that was broken down by her ugly mean husband is factually not true - bffr she was never going to be a working ballerina. juiliard doesn't have a ballet program and the basic ballet training it provides is nowehere near the training necessary to work with a ballet company. if she really aimed to be a ballerina she would have been working as a professional already and pretending this wasn't her reality while also having been raised mormon - so having very set ideas of what a woman should become - feels extremely disingenuous when you try to profile what guided her life and how much of it was a result of an ideology that made the bed she's lying in. she definitely knows that a ballet career is incompatible with the lifestyle that she was indoctrinated into settling into because it often requires delaying motherhood and dedicating most of your life to work and she knows the image she's selling that isn't real at all, even if only subconsciously
second of all, this is a grown woman with a business that is built on selling white fascist ideology dressed up in digestible aesthetics to dumb liberal choice feminism bitches, she's only going to make more money and have a bigger platform if she's a martyr of womanhood to people whose entire political identity is based on 2 minute long tiktoks and instagram infographics. woe is me, buy my pots and pans. an extremely disingenuous part of this is that it requires pretending that this business doesn't exist and she's not the whole face of it through content creation, profiting of whatever narrative she can sell to make herself sympathetic

For as long as I remember I have been playing volleyball so when I finally turned 18 I took the opportunity to play volleyball full time. It was the best decision I have ever made as in just a few months I have been accepted into a team and now play games most weekends. I have been loving the whole professional sports lifestyle because although training most days and games every weekend is a lot my schedule matches up with my boyfriends so we get to spend more time together. The only downside is that we both usually end up playing on the same days so we never get to watch each other play. In fact he has never been able to go to one of my games so has only ever seen me play in the odd game at school which is nowhere near the same.
Tonight that changes though because Pablo is suspended from the Barcelona game for having too many yellow cards so he promised me that he would come and watch me play instead. It means the world to me that he's coming to watch me play because he could go to the stadium and watch his team which I know he would really want to do but instead he has chosen to come and watch my game. He told me that he wants to have the full experience so we agreed for him to come with me to the game so he can watch the whole warm up and everything before we play (I don't play volleyball so this is probably wildly incorrect I'm sorry). Knowing he was coming with me made me feel better too because I want to make sure he's alright and doesn't get bombarded by people as everyone in this city seems to know who he is.
Just as I finished packing my bag with everything I need there was a knock on my door so I ran to open it knowing it would be Pablo. On the other side of the door stood Pablo with a big smile on his face which usually means he's done something but I couldn't work out what he possibly could have done when he's only just arrived. I let him in and he followed me to my bedroom to grab my bag but as we went to leave he stopped and grabbed something out of the bag he had brought with him. I was so confused until he took the shirt he was wearing off and put on a new one which was a volleyball jersey with my name and number on the back. He had the biggest smile on his face still and this time I couldn't help but do the same. Knowing he went out of his way to get a jersey to support me nearly made me cry but I held it together and instead of crying I just gave him a big hug while he kissed the top of my head.
Before we left we had to take pictures together but after that I drove us to where the game was being held and brought Pablo along with me to show him around. I showed him the court first and then we went around the back and I showed him all the rooms including where the locker room was which is where I left him to go and get changed. When I came back out he was waiting for me right outside so I introduced him to my teammates who have all been begging to meet Pablo as I always talk about him and some of them didn't believe that I was actually dating a famous footballer but I proved them wrong. We all did our warm up with Pablo watching from the sidelines where he will be watching the game from because I got permission from the coaches so that he wouldn't have people bugging him.
Like always I got incredibly nervous before the game and usually I have to start playing to calm down but today Pablo was there to keep me calm. While we waited to head out onto the court he held my hand and kept whispering encouraging words in my ears which really help my nerves. I'm so used to being the one calming Pablo down before big games that it was weird to have him do the same for me but I love having him here it motivates me to play better just so he can see me at my best. He held my hand right up until the last second and only let go after giving me one last kiss.
Tonight we are facing the best team in the league and being the libero of the team it means I'm going to have a lot to do. As soon as the game started I had to dive to rescue the ball as the rest of the team missed it which is not what I was expecting so this game is going to be harder than I first thought. I was constantly having to run and dive for the ball throughout the first two sets but it was completely worth it because we actually won those sets which no one really expected especially against our opponents. For the start of the third set I was rested and another defensive player was put in which I was fine with but we were losing a lot more points than before and it was stressing me out to just watch from the sidelines. It wasn't long before I was put back in to help rescue the set in hopes that we could win the match.
Things were going a lot better until a player from the other team smashed the ball over the net and right over our defence which meant it was my job to try and reach the ball. From where I was standing the ball was a little out of my reach but I tried my best and I just about got to it before another player accidentally moved backwards to receive the ball and stood on my ankle. Just standing on my ankle would have been ok but the way my foot was placed meant that when the girl stood on it my ankle rolled the complete wrong way to the point that I heard something pop. The entire crowd seemed to fall silent in the moment as I got back up and tried to continue playing it hurt so much but we were about to lose the set so I tried to keep going. After trying to move for the ball again I just collapsed straight to the floor as the pain was far too much to even keel walking.
After sitting on the floor for a few seconds I tried to get back up to walk off myself but I stopped when Pablo came over and picked me up instead which I was very thankful for. Under instruction from the coaches he carried me straight to the medical room for me to be examined. The medical staff went straight to looking at my ankle which meant having to move it around which sent waves of pain up my leg. It was so painful that I had to hold onto something and the first thing I found was Pablo's hand so I grabbed it and squeezed it whenever I felt another wave of pain. When finally the doctors were done with their exam I relaxed a little bit until they told me that I would be out for a few months as I'd torn almost all the way through the ligament. They put a brace on my ankle and gave me crutches to use for the next few weeks at least before leaving me alone with Pablo in the room.
"I'm sorry love I know what it's like to be injured and not be able to play but you were amazing out there and knowing you you'll only come back stronger" he said trying to make me feel better
"Thank you but it sure doesn't feel that way right now" I said
"I know and it won't for a while but I promise you that you will get back to playing before you know it and you'll be more motivated than ever" he said
"I just feel so bad the team need me out there those other girls are tough we all need to be at our best to beat them and I've let them down" I said
"Now that's not true you haven't let them down at all you got injured and still tried to keep playing you did your best plus you just got a text saying the team won so it's ok" he told me
Knowing we had still won made me feel a lot better but I still wanted to go home and relax so I went to grab my crutches so that we could leave but Pablo grabbed them for me and picked me up again. He carried me to the locker room and grabbed my stuff for me and I got the chance to see the team to congratulate them on the win and tell them about my injury. We all had a moment as a team before I left them to celebrate while Pablo helped me to the car. Luckily he has his learners license so I told him to drive safely because he is allowed to drive with me in the car but I still want to avoid any drama on the way home. Usually Pablo is stubborn and thinks he’s always right but on the way back he listened to everything I told him about where to go and how to drive and we made it back in one piece although I was very stressed the entire time.
When he helped me inside I expected him to leave to go and do whatever he usually does on a Sunday evening but instead he made sure that I had everything I would need and was comfortable before sitting down next to me. He ordered some food for us while I turned on the tv to put the game on as the second half had not long started. Like always Pablo got so involved in the game even though he wasn’t playing but he still checked in on me and went to get the food when it arrived which is how I know he really cares about me as generally nothing can distract him from football but somehow I’ve managed it.
For the rest of the night Pablo stayed by my side and even got his mum to drop his things off so that he could stay the night. Even though I can do things for myself he still helped me whenever he could which included doing my skincare for me and he only left me when I went in the shower although he did make a few jokes about it. When we got in bed Pablo let me get comfortable before moving to get as close to me as he possibly could because he always has to be touching me whenever we are together even in our sleep. Just as I was falling asleep Pablo pressed some gentle kisses to my face and whispered how much he loved me in my ear before settling down again like nothing had happened which made me fall asleep with a big smile on my face.

“I didn’t see any of this coming with Blake. This was just a big old ‘What?’ It was an amazing gift to experience love like that for the first time. He’s changed my life … when I [started dating] Blake, that’s when I felt home, like, ‘Oh, this is where I’m supposed to be, with this guy.”
On living outside of Hollywood:
“I am not really a dirt person, a bug person, I don’t like that much humidity. But it’s so beautiful [in Oklahoma], and you kind of feel like you’re going into this vortex. Nature — and God — is all right there.”

“I took Kingston on a world tour [when he was 9 months old]. I would have to nurse him, then get onstage, come off, and he would twirl my ponytail. That’s when things got really hard for me emotionally. That time is so precious, and you don’t want to miss anything.”

Cheers to the close of a successful 2022! As another year comes to an end, I realize I haven’t done a very good job of either reflecting on milestones or sharing adventures on here lately. But in the end, it feels rewarding to look back on a year and say, “PHEW,” and also “thanks” — to both community and life itself — for all the adventures experienced and lessons learned.

— And did all of that while raising a new baby and learning how to become a parent.
PHEW. What a joyful, expansive year it has been. I can’t wait to see what the next year has in store.
