I decided to look up hermicraft on AO3 like i do with every new fandom and like-

Why do we have their actual name on the tags? I didn't want to know that, nor do i think anyone wants to associate their actual name with the "character"

I hate the lis fandom actually its so misogynistic if a woman can in any way be precieved as competition or a threat to a ship she's a demon. This is about rachel amber and cassidy jones who get so much hate when one of them is dead and the other is objectively the better romance just not the gay one.

You can argue with the wall cassidy is better than finn solely because she does not agree with using your 9 yr old brother in a heist the second she finds out he has powers in fact the idea of using a child like that actively enrages her. And anything bad you could say about her also applies to finn but he's got child endangerment on his list as well. Btw neither finn or cassidy are in their 20s they are canonically described as teenagers in game, finn is probably older than cassidy but 19 at most. Hate on their dreads by all means, i do and i wish they didn't have them, but they are teens.

In regards to rachel the way some of you talk about a girl who was groomed and murdered makes me genuinely ill.

my hot take is that chloe and max should’ve stayed together in double exposure but then fans would’ve been mad when they were queering it up in a long distance, open relationship … max can still romance vinh or amanda and chloe’s still flirting with victoria and they’re completely content in what they have. and chloe and max also understand they should grow apart so they can grow more strongly together <3 whenever they cross paths again, or something

you know what whenever I need to become tired I'm just gonna read about genetics while simultaneously listening to the constant ticking of clocks and I will get sleepy so fast. not that genetics is boring— I actually find it fascinating, and would love to learn more— it just makes me so drowsy and tired when reading about it and also the ticking of really just any timepiece soothes me

my hot take about max’s new artstyle in double exposure is that yes, it’s not nearly as appealing as her old style, but it’s a.) very common for more detailed artists to shift to looser styles, since art is a journey, and b.) she hasn’t journaled constantly, much less drawn constantly, in ten years. back in lis:1 max was pumping out so many journal pages equipped with both scrap art and multiple drawings that it was almost insane. that was a habit for her! she had practice with it. but after nearly a decade of writing maybe three pages in that timeframe, she’s obviously rusty, and, frankly, sometimes doodling a quick anime drawing or a cartoon is more efficient and quick than spending twenty plus minutes on a more detailed piece. i understand finding it a downgrade but tbh artstyles are a thing susceptible to constant change, and max ( who’s devoid of energy most days! ) is no different. there are valid critiques to be had but this feels like another aspect of lis:de where people are just grasping at surface level things to bitch and moan about, because they either can’t remember the game or have refused to play it lol.

More progress being made. I finished re-reading The Illusion of Living this past Friday. It's a nice book. 👍 This was the last of the Bendy books in this "marathon" that I'm doing which I had already read previously and now I'm rereading, meaning that I'm kind of up to date when it comes to rereading all the books that were released until December 2021. But the race is not over yet. Soon I'll start Fade To Black, and (technically) I'll finally be up to date.

Just to continue my chain of posting about the books I finished (at least, the main ones that I really wanted to read) here it is…something I did at the beginning of March, on the night when shit went down. (I hope you know what I'm talking about). I saw the tweets first hand, I was there! Right at the damn moment. And it was..something reading those tweets alright. If the image above doesn't show it, my mood that night and the next 1-2 days wasn't so… great. You might read this and think I'm exaggerating, but that night especially I, uuhhh, I didn't feel good! And this image (and maybe 2 more posts I made that night) are the results of that. (And to think that a week before this happened, I had finished rereading DCTL after a long time. Talk about better/worse timing than this)

At least, if you want the bright side of this, it's that even after that day, I decided to continue with my book marathon, and I don't regret it. I was down that day, but I wasn't out yet damn it!! and I'm still not. (I don't know if this sentence makes a lot of sense, but you get my point)

As a bonus, here's something I did the night I got to the part where Henry is first mentioned in the book (you can consider this as a representation of my reaction when he's first mentioned, both for when I read TIOL for the first time in 2021, as now in this rereading)
