I'm just getting back from a week of camping and frolicking. All of our towels smell like campfire and our whole apartment is covered in pine needles, but I am restored.
As part of my inbox catch up duties, here's your invitation to the LibraryCon Live 2024 virtual event happening next month! On November 14th, I'll be on a panel discussing love and relationships (and my book, How Could You) at 3:50 – 4:25 PM ET along with Ingrid Ochoa (The Kiss Bet) and Chandrama Anderson (I Do I Don't: How to Build a Better Marriage).
I'm really excited and nervous! There will be Q&A after and the session will also be recorded, so if you register you can watch later. See you there!!

LibraryCon Live! 2022
Free virtual event!
November 17, 2022
Calling all librarians!
LibraryCon Live! 2022 is taking place THIS THURSDAY!
LibraryCon Live! Is a FREE virtual event that is put on by Library Journal and School Library Journal. According to the website:
Day-long celebration of fandom, spotlighting genre fiction for adults and teens with panels devoted to comics and graphic novels, horror, sf/fantasy, and more!
Explore the virtual exhibit hall where you'll hear from publishers about their newest books, download galleys and resources, and engage in live chats with featured authors and illustrators!
This event seems to be largely catering to YA librarians and school librarians, but public and even academic librarians might find it interesting or helpful.
This event is NOT only for librarians, but registration does ask for a lot of library info, and the sessions often have specific library connections.
Some interesting (to me) sessions:
How Manga Took Over the World
Myths & Folktales
Teen witches
Live Long and Preserve: How the Library of Congress Cares for its Collection
Haunting Horror
And more!
Notable speakers include Shobo & Shof, Tillie Walden, Chuck Wendig, Ed Brubaker, Lesa Cline-Ransome, Asiah Fulmore, Mackenzi Lee, Marcos Martin, and tons more!
To register, visit:
libraryjournal(dot)com/event/librarycon-2022
Or, search for LibraryCon 2022 on the Library Journal website
It runs from 10 am to 5 pm EST
If you can't make it to a session live, they will be archived and the virtual environment will be accessible for 3 months.
