Happy Monday evening all :) Ewww an Ashley episode. Such a bummer after the last episode haha Not a ton of Chenford content but what we do get is good. There is a case involved but they're not in it enough to analyze anything. Oh also this ep is the intro of Chris so double eww. This episode is just one giant display of why Ashley and Chris aren't meant for either of them. But we knew that already didn't we? Let’s get started eh?

4x10 Heart Beat

Start our episode off with why Ashley isn’t right for Tim. Hit the ground running and the reasons are plentiful. First off Tim doesn’t even think to make Ashley anything. This is all for Kojo. Which I friggin love btw. The animal lover in me adores how spoiled Kojo is. Also imma need some more of this pup in S6. You hear me writers? I need this dog back. Ashley says she’s not a breakfast person but still the least romantic morning ever. They are very early in their dating period and its pretty tame. The way he moves around her. No intimacy at all. Avoiding her as he makes his way over to Kojo’s bowl.

Shows more affection towards his dog than her haha It’s the complete opposite of Tim and Lucy in 5x20. Where there is zero space, lots of touching, flirting and food to be had. Can't keep their hands off each other. The blahness that is Ashley is prominent in this opening scene. Also her judgy tone when she mentions that’s what he gets? If I was dating a man who took that good of care of his dog? I would be a goner. But this is Ashley so….

She is far too vapid for Tim. I looked up the definition of that word to reinforce my point. “Offering nothing that is stimulating or challenging.” If that isn’t the definition of their relationship and her as a character idk what is. Tim has found the very opposite from Lucy in Ashley. She is blah, doesn’t challenge him in any way and definitely doesn’t stimulate him whatsoever. All things he gets from Lucy. Interesting...Almost like he shouldn't be dating her....

She continues down her ‘Why she is wrong for Tim path' When she is afraid/doesn’t like Kojo. I already didn’t like her but this didn’t help her case. If I was dating someone and they didn’t like my dog?Goodbye sir. Twas fun while it lasted LOL Maybe it’s the protective dog person in me but I can not stand her first thought being ‘dangerous’ with Kojo. Just because he didn’t like her at first. Tim telling her he took him in cause Lucy couldn’t keep him.

He tries to help her adjust to him but she isn't about it. Just wants to leave. To me if my dog doesn’t like you that is far more telling than anything else IMO. Dogs have a good sense of people so this would’ve been telling to me as a dog owner. Ashley was already on my 'I don’t like you list.' But the not liking Kojo part plummets her to the very bottom…Also watching Tim with Kojo is ovary explosion for me. Way he pets him and loves on him. My heart. That's his kid.

We join our couple in their shop. Lucy asks how it’s going with Ashley? Tim says good but there was some weirdness this morning. Tim mentions he thinks she doesn’t like Kojo. Lucy’s reaction cracks me up. She could not be more telling when she says 'So you broke up with her? Thats too bad….I liked her…’ 'Lying liar. You know she was hoping he did. We all want that.

The way he loves that dog it actually would make sense. To Lucy as well her not liking Kojo is another strike against her anyways. It’s a valid response to anyone who is a pet owner really. Unfortunately we are stuck with her for a long while. Bleh. My dislike for her is very strong. Because she is everything he doesn’t need or want.

Tim says since when? Knowing she has never liked her. That Lucy had been giving him crap cause she’s a lifeguard ha I mean I can't say I blame her. I would too. Her sarcasm continuing with her reply. Fairly certain none of us considered it a career until Ashley came into the picture. Tim defends the training she had to go through. That it was rigorous training at the fire academy. Trying to make her job sound more prestigious than it is in just the name alone. Lucy doesn’t press it further and says my bad with a smile even though I think she is still secretly judging her LOL

Lucy has such a dog-mom moment here. I love it so very much. As she states his full name above LOL I bet you she has supplied that boy with many chew toys he’s destroyed. Makes me happy to think of Lucy going over to Tim's just to deliver treats and toys for their shared fur-child. Seriously going to need some couple moments with him in S6. It's a crime we haven't gotten them yet.

Lucy's transparency continues when she tells Tim 'Clearly Ashley has to go.' If only it was that easy. Saying it’s a moot point if she doesn’t like Kojo. Now anyone can see she isn’t right for him. The person who knows him the best? Can see it from a mile away the multiple reasons Ashley isn’t right for Tim. So might as well cut this off right now in her opinion. The look they share haha Even when talking about his relationship they are flirty af. So married in their disposition with one another. I love it. Also he's not really disagreeing with her...

Lucy ends up getting a phone call and it’s Ashley… She is confused but intrigued by this phone call. Idk how the hell she got her number. LOL Now you know Lucy is in love with Tim when she gives such solid advice to Ashley. It’s the way she talks about Kojo being like Tim. Girl is so gone for him. Something she continually tries to suppress this entire season. Like she is warding it off really.

Ashley tells her she likes Tim but she’s scared of his dog. Asking why she gave him away? Asking if he was too aggressive? Ugh I hate her animal ignorance so much. Maybe it’s because been I've been in dog world for over a decade but I cannot stand her going right to ‘aggressive.’ Lucy defends her boy says 'No! Not at all. He just wasn’t meant for her living situation.'

Lucy asks if she doesn’t like dogs? Secretly hoping she says yes heh Ashley tells she had a bad experience once. Lucy empathizes and says she gets it. Goes on to say Kojo is the sweetest guy. It’s here we see her switch over to gushing about Tim. It’s the way she’s looking at Tim in Grey’s office that gets me. As she explains how Kojo is just like Tim. Careful Lucy your feelings are showing.

He’s big, gruff, and a whole lot of bark but underneath is a sweetheart. I mean Tim is for HER. Let’s get that clear first. Tim is only soft for Lucy. I adore her helping out in this situation though. She didn't have to but it's Lucy. If Ashley could see how she was looking at Tim. She might feel a little threatened. Not only that but her deep knowledge of Tim. Might catch on she’s just the littlest bit in love with him lol But then 4x12 happens later on so.... How she didn’t break up with Tim after that display idk. So maybe she wouldn’t put 2 and 2 together.

I'm giving her too much credit haha Lucy speaks from a place of love about him. She probably has no idea how she is coming off but it's so obvious. Clearly not talking about Kojo in that tone. She loves that good boy but loves his owner more. Lucy tells her to talk to Tim about it. Ashley replies no that she’s not going to make him pick between her or his dog. That there is a whole genre of country songs about that. Before Lucy can defend Tim more or why she should Ashley cuts the convo off and says good night. Awkward…

It’s then we meet friggin Chris Sanford. *glares* The epitome of meh. Earlier in the ep they arrested young boy dealing drugs. He is one of James’s newest mentees. Lucy being the empathetic soul she is cites him out on a lower charge. That way he gets a fighting chance with James to turn his life around. Just has to attend his court date and such. Very kind thing of her to do for this young man.

He comes in like a mega douche. Instant dislike for his character for how he comes at Lucy. Trying to shame her for citing him out like she did. Calling her naive and basically being an absolute asshat. Lucy CRUSHES him in her reply above. I dislike Chris so very much so this was glorious to watch. Tim Bradford doesn’t stand a chance most days against her. You think your puny ass with 4 months of experience had a chance of winning that argument? What a putz…

Lucy catches Tim in the parking garage before he leaves. Ah this glorious place where all our wonderful moments occur. Lucy tells him it was Ashley who called her earlier. Gotta love how open she is with Tim always. As usual Lucy is toeing the line of personal boundaries with him. Possibly overstepping by bringing this up. But that’s kind of their thing.

Also like to note how telling it is that Ashley felt more comfortable coming to Lucy and not her BF about this. That she didn’t think he would listen to her but Lucy would. Because well she did. Lucy does get the other side of the story with Kojo. That is not a dislike but bad experience on her end. Which to be fair is valid when you’ve had a bad experience with a dog. Now that being said I still dislike so very much.

What I’m trying to get at here is Lucy interpreted this as Tim not fulling listening to Ashley’s concern. It’s not surprising Tim gets a little hard headed about things. Especially things he loves. So he’s instantly defensive about said things. I’m the same way. Lucy knows this about him. Which is why they’re having this conversation. So she can bring his attention to it in way only she can. Because Tim actually listens to Lucy. This scene really is more about their bond than his issue with Ashley. How Lucy is the only one who can ever get through to Tim. Her super power really.

He doesn’t listen to anyone the way he listens to Lucy. Especially when she is doling out advice for him. This is a kindness she is doing for him. Letting him know one his GF called her and two the reason behind it. That she is scared and he needs to listen to her about it. Tim shrugs it off like it’s nothing. Which you can see Lucy is a little taken aback with. How instantly shut off he is to this conversation. But like i said earlier he is defensive about things he loves. He LOVES that dog.

This is their dance with advice he is defensive or dismissive at first. Then it sinks in and he truly listens to what she is telling him. She may not like Ashley. (None of us do..) But she would be remiss not to share her opinion on this with him. Tim instead of thanking her for the advice deflects. Because well Tim. Asking why she is so invested in his love life? Asking with a little smile some sass in that question of his. Also gauging what her reaction will be. He is truly curious.

It is interesting how his love life is the only one she intercedes in. Not Nolan or any of his. She didn’t with Jackson for either of his love interests. Just Tim. Because that shows the level of importance this man has gained in her life. Saw some parallels to this moment and 2x03. When she was trying to pair Tim up with Rachel. How Lucy once again is involved in his love life. It’s true that she just wants him to be happy.

Also Tim’s interest in why she is interested in his love life is far different than 2x03. He didn’t question it then. Just thought it was apart of their bet. In S4 he is a lot more aware. Like I said in the last review their bond and their awareness of each other is far stronger than it was in S2. He is so genuinely curious why she is so invested in it?

They’ve had a lot of intimate moments and work flirts since 4x01. Tim can feel the shift that has happened between them. So it makes him curious why she is helping him like she is? Lucy does some deflecting of her own for his question. Saying she doesn’t want to drive around on patrol while he is moping around about this girl. He is so offended by her saying this it's so funny. That if he likes this girl he should listen to her. It’s funny all the things she’s telling him to do with Ashley he naturally does with her. Funny old world lol

Tim’s reply back cracks me up. Saying when has he ever moped? That he doesn’t even know how to. Oh but you do my love. You perfect it in S5. While you pine for her while she is still with Chris the putz. But ok sure you don’t know how. His eye roll is so damn funny Eric always crushes it when he does this. Her little Mmhmm as she walks away smirking. Has this man wrapped around her finger. She drives him insane and Tim absolutely loves it.

Tim follows through on Lucy’s advice and listens to Ashley’s fears. Really Lucy extended this relationship when it was destined to fail. But she cares so much about Tim and his happiness she gave him solid advice. This bit made me chuckle. Saying Kojo needs to be bossed around a little to listen. heh. Just like daddy. There's a reason he only listen's to Lucy.

Kojo being just like Tim of course he needs a strong woman to boss him around to listen. I wouldn't call Ashley strong but she got the idea. I mean that scene in the parking garage kinda a parallel to this one in that regard. Doesn’t listen at first then eventually comes around when they're bossed around ha. Not a ton in this ep for them. Solid moments nonetheless. Sadly we are saddled with a Chris and Ashley for a little while. But we get tons of goodies between all that so it helps.

Im kinda am getting annoyed how much they r avoiding saying swk actual name. Like whats the point of him having a name if the show is not gonna refer to him with his name besides having moments of characters chastising him using his first name. Ie: just yelling out wukong.

Liek i want to here his various other titles besides monkey king. Its pretty weird how they’re solely just calling him monkey kings when hes just 1 of many monkey kings :/

Sometimes, i wonder if they knew that they could have kept swk w all of complex characteristics without having to downplay any of it so they can uplift mk. (Mk is such a amazing character dont get me wrong i do adore him. But it suck that in a equivalent exchange of a good character we get a frankly a worse vers of sun wukong.

Like not even other versions of swks ever acted(or granted made such repeated mistakes) like how lmk swk do. Like theres no one defending him within the shown(mk doesn’t count bc literally thats his teacher. But even he himself doesn’t realize he’s afraid of becoming like swk.) and as much as lmk writers, producer etc etc. want, they have to actually have to show swk’s side. Bc by the time lmk is over, its going to v hard to give him justice when almost everyone have a right idea of keeping him away bc how much hes a danger to everyone.

I also am a lmk LEMH hater forever. i just think he shouldn’t of have that type of importance to swk when hes just a dude w a pent up superiority/inferiority (he can have both bc yea)complex thats in a parasocial relationship to swk. But YEAH this is a pretty good summary of many things said before anon...in particular it's genuinely disheartening how Qi Xiaotian's experiences have brought him from a state of being excited at the thought he could be like Sun Wukong to now being terrified that he's destined to be like the Monkey King...but then again how could be not be. We're now 4 seasons in and everything just gets worse and worse for the little monkey lego man in large part because of the things his shifu did or failed to do. At this point even with the hints of the torture headband making a significant appearance, trying to defend or even understand SWK's actions in the present kind of seems like a fool's errand, and I genuinely am worried that no backstory Flying Bark gives their version of the Monkey King will provide a satisfactory reason for why he acts the way he does. As it is there's been a pretty consistent flow of popular fan works about the Monkey King getting punched & yelled at & portrayed as completely in the wrong, and well I do not see that ending any time soon given the events of canon material :(

As always I want to note that I'm fully capable of being too negative and pessimistic & forgetting the good sides of SWK's lego show character and that yeah obviously there's a lot of other characters running around with more antagonistic intentions (including perhaps this mysterious person who may be behind Azure Lion being freed as part of some greater scheme). But between this already firmly established characterization of SWK as a liar who's ideas routinely end in nothing but catastrophe for even those he loves and the show itself pretty clearly having little interest in including SWK in the story's adventures outside of an explodey ending or being a problem that needs to be dealt with because of his disastrous decisions (given how much he keeps getting shoved out of the plot), well...you can see why many people think this could easily end with even Qi Xiaotian thinking Sun Wukong is a lost cause.

i like that, at this early stage, keiko is the only one being EXTREMELY suspicious, while everyone else seems to be like. plausibly off. the engineering crews early, but they're on siskos orders, and sisko seems as genial as ever. the only bit that sounded off was when he said he was talking to keiko about jake's grades, but obrien buys it completely, and even then it doesnt sound that far off.

IF WE VIEW THE ENTIRE TEXT THROUGH THE LENS OF HONOUR VS DISHONOUR, IMPULSES BETRAYAL IS MORE CLEARLY FORESHADOWED, THE REASON WHY THE RED ARMY MADE SO MANY ENEMIES IS THEMATICALLY EXPLAINED, AND IT EVEN ADDS ANOTHER ELEMENT OF GREATNESS TO THE RENCHANTING DUOS CHARACTER GROWTH.

OK. First off. Renchanting Duo. Because its super quickneasy to explain, & I'm trying rlly hard to keep interest for as long as possible b4 ppls eyes glaze over at the wall of text.

Ren and Martyn's character arcs are to respectively, A) learn to be willing to stick up for your self, & B) learning to dedicate yourself* to others. So, they both become more honourable. And, as A DIRECT RESULT of BECOMING MORE HONOURABLE, REN MAKES SCAR HIS ENEMY. LEADING TO THE RED ARMY, THE ORGANIZATION REPRESENTING HONOUR, FORMING.

SO, WE LITERALLY SEE THEIR CHARACTER GROWTH CREATE THE SERVERS BIGGEST FACTION, WHICH IS BASED ON THE VALUES THEY HELPED EACH OTHER LEARN.

*Dedicating oneself to others is not necessarily an inherent gain of honour like Ren's Arc is, but the looking at Martyn's behaviour we see how dedicating himself to Renchanting stopped him from really falling into dishonourable behaviour [see: his early penchant for heists]

OK. Second. Impulse's betrayal. There are a lot of moments where Impulse is shown to be less honourable than the others, him saying he'd give his life for Ren and then backing away the moment an actual arrow is shot, all the half truthing and dodging blame and sucking up to everyone.

As the thesis states, Red Army = Honour. If you're honourable, youre in, if youre dishonourable, youre out. So if you're skirting the line of dishonour, yet claiming to be honourable.......... You're foreshadowing :)

But. MY ABSOLUTE FAVOURITE MOMENT. What could be called the actual betrayal, Impulse leading the Red Army away from Dogwarts so the Crastle can trap it.

OK LIKE. Impulse has already been shown to be semi-dishonourable, and because the Red Army stand for honour, thats already foreshadowing that he's a traitor when he joins up. But. BUT. THE WAY HE BETRAYS THEM is one of THE MOST DISHONOURABLE THINGS HE COULD DO. LET'S TALLY UP MY MOST RECENT INVENTION, THE HONOUR POINTS SHALL WE?

Desert Duo: Scar's literal defining trait throughout the series was being seen as untrustworthy and exactly 0 people believing he was gonna follow through on any deal he made ever. Also, cue @/red-rose-gown's post about most of Scar's kills being while his enemies were facing away and the one that wasn't was because he was backing away. Scar basically never took an honest fight with anyone until the final duel w/ Grian, it was all running away and traps and hiding and distractions for him. Speaking of Grian, the trap king himself. Need I say anymore? Probably, but this has been sitting in my drafts for a month now.

Flower Husbands: Scott "Well He Doesn't Know I'm a Liar Yet" Smajor who just wanted to retire, and not go into battle. Not an honour move bro. Shout outs to the Daisy fiasco*, dishonour on you, dishonour on your husband, dishonour on your cow. Obviously Mr. "I don't wanna kill anyone" Gaming, who was planning on hiding the entire rest of the game also does not count as honourable.

ALSO the thing that made them official enemies was not wanting to go into possible danger ala Jimmy being freaked out over the idea of a sacrifice.

Crastle: A)Their whole thing was combat avoidance by hiding in the castle. 2.1) Bdubs hiding from the red army after they killed Cleo and Tango, 2.2) Bdubs disavowing Cleo after she was permakilled in front of him because he was scared of the red army, C.a) llama thievery C.b) roof burnage, no matter its target, is lowkey dishonourable, 4) the helmet stunt was literally a way for Bdubs to kill Etho without having to actually fight him.

How did komahina co-parent at first? How was hajimes reaction to the twins? Did bebi like getting siblings

komahina's co-parenting at first was...definitely an Ordeal. not even because of bebi, but bc komahina is a mess. originally hajime was very insecure about his role in bebi's life, as he had very clearly asserted himself as a separate person from izuru and that he was going to live as hajime and not someone else- so wouldn't that make bebi Not his kid? sure, they're his genetically, but in theory.... that was the dilemma he dealt with. he'd already grown attached to them when he was caring for them while nagito was still in a coma and worries now that nagito has woken up, his job is done, and that nagito won't want him around bebi anymore. in turn, nagito is worried that bc hajime is asserting himself as separate from izuru that he doesn't see bebi as his kid and will not be interested in raising them, that bebi will lose their father and nagito will lose his once-husband (lurking somewhere in hajime's subconscious...) turned best friend. they live together right off the bat, sleeping in the same bed (bebi likes to be held by the 2 of them to fall asleep...but even when bebi sleeps in their own bed they didn't think to get separate bedrooms or anything...) and end up becoming very.....affectionate with one another despite their claims that they're purely platonic. they "platonically" hold hands, cuddle, kiss, kiss, and more...intimate things in the cover of night ;) nagito's convinced hajime is just "using him for stress relief" and he's only truly staying bc he'd feel guilty leaving bebi. hajime thinks they're together. this miscommunication is not truly cleared up until hajime proposes. other than that, they both love bebi very very much and spend all their time with bebi, doting on them, playing with them, caring for them.

as for hajime's reaction to the twins- that in itself was also an Ordeal! when nagito found out he was pregnant again, bebi was very sick and in the hospital, which was very hard on nagito as he blamed himself. and he had resigned himself to leaving bebi and hajime, thinking they'd be safer without him in their lives. hajime was an adult who was fully informed of the danger of nagito's luck and had izuru's luck to protect him ! but bebi couldn't consent to that. he did not want to risk hurting his child in any capacity. so he resigned himself to leaving...but the news of pregnancy only devastated him further. to think he'd ruin not only bebi and hajime's lives but the life of another baby (not knowing it was twins lol)....it was too much for him. the plan was to leave the island, suffer through the pregnancy by himself, and come back after the birth to drop their new baby off before disappearing forever.

bc nagito's carrying twins, the toll on his body during this pregnancy is far worse than it was during despair. he becomes very weak and sickly, especially with the added stress and despair of trying to leave his 'best friend' and kid, his kid being in the hospital,,, he hasn't been taking care of himself. the night bebi returns from the hospital (fully recovered! ...but having finally fully lost their vision in their right eye), hajime catches nagito trying to leave. he'd collapsed on his way out, having gotten incredibly dizzy. he'd left nothing but a note on the nightstand reading, "Be back soon." hajime wakes up to an empty bed and almost (almost) panics, steadies his breaths to the small snores of a sleeping baby in a nearby crib. he finds nagito half unconscious on the beach slumped on a duffel bag. "i ruined your life..me and this broken body of mine." "i...love you. you're not broken. I'm not leaving and neither are you." "i hate you..." "you're the best thing that ever happened to me." "I'll kill you..." "you won't." "why won't you just leave.." "why won't you stay." "..." "lets go to bed. we'll see mikan in the morning. get some rest." nagito is still scratching at his skin when hajime pulls him against his chest and forces nagito to lay down with him. "hinata-kun, i'm so s-" "shhh. none of that. we're seeing mikan in a bit, i already called her. i'm sorry for not noticing what was going on. it must have been so hard dealing with this alone.." "you shouldn't have to deal with it.." "i know." going to see mikan and mikan warns them that Yes nagito is in fact pregnant and the fact that he's just come off of chemo and is still in remission is gonna make the pregnancy tough on him physically and that he's gonna get about as sick as he was before but promises it's temporary and that she guarantees he'll see the baby to full term ("link that's medically incorrect" idc link does what he wants Hajime has a dude put in his head via lobotomy science is a liar sometimes) and hajime holds nagito's hand the entire time and presses a kiss to his cheek when he cries a little when mikan says the baby will be healthy and ok and survive and nagito turns to him and gives him a watery smile before laughing and crying joyously a little more and thats when hajime knows they'll be ok. they do talk more abt this whole thing, nagito's motives, bebi,,,,but that's like a 1k fic and this post is alr long enough 😅maybe i'll polish it and make it a fic. long story short, hajime's personally extremely happy that nagito's pregnant, but his worry over nagito's health as a whole, physical and mental kinda trumped that but past that- it's nothing but excitement! (they did not know they were having twins...so excitement and a surprise!) as for bebi, they were very happy to be getting a sibling! they love mimicking everyone they see by talking to their papa's tummy, touching it, generally babbling to komahina how they're gonna share their toys with the baby, will the baby play with them, can they share a room? they always want more love in their life !

as someone who loves neil and andrew i do not hate aaron at all i'm new to the fandom and only just got the books. i'm still on the first book. but why do so many people hate aaron? all the characters have their flaws all the characters have their good parts that's what make them all human. so i guess what i'm asking is why does aaron get so much hate? it seems unjustified and cruel. no ones perfect. thanks for reading all this! have a good weekend

I’m going to try to answer this without being too controversial, and without being too spoilery since you haven’t read the entire series. This is something that has low key bothered me about the aftg fandom for a while, and sometimes I scream into the void about it. These are just some observations and opinions I’ve made over time. This is by no means directed towards any certain person or blog, y’all are obviously allowed to think and process the books however y’all want. That’s what makes books so fun.

Don’t get me wrong, I also love Andrew and Neil. I was cheering them on when I read the series the first time, and I loved catching little hints I missed the first time when I reread. I enjoy the majority of the content about them on here. I think they’re story is interesting. However, that doesn’t mean I excuse or condone some of their actions. I’ll get deeper into that in a second.

The reason I think people dislike/hate Aaron so much is because of two canon things that I’ve connected to what people are saying about Aaron. One being his reactions to Nicky at times, and two being a scene in the Kings Men (I’ll try to be as spoiler free for you since you haven’t gotten to it yet). These get him labeled and reduced down to a homophobic asshole. Here’s where I think it’s gets controversial. I, personally (meaning if you disagree, that’s fine, I totally understand and see your point), don’t think Aaron is homophobic. Here’s why : Almost immediately into meeting Nicky, it’s obvious he’s meant to be the flamboyant gay stereotype. He’s thirsting all over Neil, and making honestly inappropriate comments to and about Neil. Every time he does, Aaron has something to say like, “can you not be so disgusting”. In my mind, that’s a pretty valid thing to say, and not homophobic. Nicky is not only making Neil uncomfortable, but literally everyone else as well. Nicky is Aaron’s cousin, so I’m sure he feels a little more comfortable calling him out on his bullshit than if it was someone else. I think he would be disgusted by this display no matter what. The way I understand Aaron is that he keeps his romantic life on the down low. Not just from his teammates and family, but from everyone. He just doesn’t strike me as the one comfortable with excessive PDA. Secondly, the one I see brought up the most, and one I think is a little misunderstood, is the scene in the Kings Men (again, trying to be as vague as possible, but it may get a little spoilery) where Aaron confronts Neil. I want to say that I totally and completely understand why people don’t like this scene, and don’t like Aaron because of this scene. The reason why I think it’s misunderstood, is because it’s a very, very emotionally charged conversation. Aaron says some harsh things to Neil that are intended to be homophobic and hurtful, but I think Aaron did that on purpose to get a rise out of Neil, and figure out his true intentions were with Andrew. Aaron and Andrews relationship is so fragile as is, and then Neil is thrown into the mix messing it up more. So, Aaron rightfully doesn’t trust him. Aaron wants to protect Andrew from Neil, because in Aaron’s head, Neil is all kinds of danger. Another reason I think this, is because of Aaron’s up bringing. He didn’t have the best role models, and wasn’t taught to appropriately convey his feelings without saying hurtful things. I think this scene gets used against Aaron the most, because he says these harsh things, but the why he he said it is lost. Again, it was a super emotional conversation for him, and when tempers flair, things get said that might not be the most appropriate. That doesn’t just go for Aaron, but for literally everyone. I know I have said some hurtful things when upset, but that doesn’t make me a terrible, horrible person. I was just upset, and said whatever I could that would get a rise out of the person. And I really think that’s the case here. Another thing I’ve sort of notice about how the fandom perceives Aaron, is that he lacks sympathy or isn’t very understanding of Neil’s situation or of Neil and Andrews relationship. Aaron does not like Neil. Like at all. Which is fair. I wouldn’t either if I was in his shoes. Neil drags the entire team through some shit, and Aaron is there for it. He wants the truth of the situation, so they can figure out a solution as a team. When Neil is injured, Aaron flinches and is appalled by them. He might not out right sympathize for Neil, but he is human, and his teammate went through some shit, and he can understand and feel bad for Neil in that way. As for Neil and Andrew, Aaron’s not the biggest fan of. Mostly because he doesn’t trust who Neil is. Neil is a liar and a runaway, who is hard to trust, and is getting with his brother. So of course he’s not the biggest fan of him. Are we always fond of our siblings SOs??? No! I think people focus too much on Neil being a dude vs. Neil being a lying asshole when it comes to Aaron’s dislike for him.

Another thing that bothers me about the general aftg fandom is that they hate Aaron for being a homophobic asshole (for reasons stated above), but can pardon/forget/downsize Andrews actions. First and foremost being him carrying and pulling knives on people. I carry a knife, but I’ve never pulled it on someone, because THATS NOT NORMAL! That’s terrifying, and should not be normalized. Andrew, more than once, has pulled a knife and/or threatened people he is supposed to be close to, including Neil, Nicky, and (the one that bothers me the most) Kevin. He also says some harsh things to people/teammates, and tries to cause harm to others, all under the disguise of protecting his people. (Not to mention his over all relationship with Kevin.) It’s fine that he’s trying to protect his people, but more often than not he takes it too far. I think these thing sort of get excused, because Andrew is already a perceived psycopath, but that’s not a good enough reason as a fandom to be okay with it. This might be controversial to say, but I think in some cases (not all by any means) is the fetishization of mlm relationships in media. All of Andrews (and Neils for that matter) flaws and dangerous actions get over looked for “uwu andrew is only soft for neil and has to protect him!!!” And the actuality of their relationship gets ignored just because they’re male characters kissing. And since Aaron is a straight character who doesn’t trust/like Neil, he’s immediately bad and the enemy. When in all actuality, I don’t think Aaron has a issue with Andrew being gay, his issue is Andrew choosing Neil.

So, in summary, is Aaron an asshole? Yes. Absolutely. BUT so are Andrew, Neil, Nicky, and Kevin. Is it fair Aaron gets more hate than the others? Not in my opinion!

Calling Vivienne abusive is just too must. What did you expect when you are dealing with a hot woman from a different social circle, talented liar, "cocky" seductress with ulimited money, a father that made her believe he's the only one that has her back no matter what and then when she turned 19 he betrayed her. She grew up liying pretty much her whole life, puttin on a show for everyone that came close to her, her walls were put so high so that she wouldnt get her heart broken again or misstreated by anyone. She is a lone wolf, she has her own back because she thought nobody near her truly loved her, tho she felt safe with the Poppy but she didnt fully open up to them cause she was scared to be betrayed by the people who she loves the most ( for the ones that dont know The Poppy didnt know Vivi's dad was an excellent thief or anything about her previous life). The only thing Vivienne needed was someone to love her, to respect her, to appreciate her skills ( not only as a thief ), to be there for her, to listen, to understan, to show REAL affection and interest to her, to be close with someone that their motives dont have anything to do with exploitation, someone that after her true colours come out would be able to stay, to handle her and tell her that its okay. She doubted love cause she never ever felt it truly and deeply to her heart thats why she is a super private person with trust issues. She used sex to show her emotions to MC because she didnt know who to put her emotions into words. Vivi likes kinky sex cause we all know that this type of sex has a lot to do with trust, controll and unspoken acts of love and passion that can not be expressed in any other way. MC is potrayed to be the only one that takes the time to unfold the Vivienne mystery, her outstanding pressence and personality, her true self. Vivienne in return shows love to MC through her honesty, her willingness to protect her from any danger even her own self and of course the unbelievably passionate seggs. DONT EVER CALL MY SMOLL BEAN ABUSIVE. Real love was the only thing Vivi didnt know how to handle cause SHE NEVER FELT IT.

He always knew something was special about them, their magic was so strong and just felt different than anything he’d ever felt before.

It was nearly intoxicating to have them use their magic on him, the feeling of it washing over him, it was so unique and so very Them. 

After he brought them back, he was terrified how this would complicate things. They had the Fool’s body, could the fool’s body contain the power of a Fae? 

Would their powers come back? Would they be too strong for the body? Would they have no magic at all? 

Then he started to feel bad for them, once their magic started coming back, he knew that his magic was nothing compared to theirs and yet he had to teach them magic from scratch, he didn’t feel qualified.

But he was also worried about them hurting themself because they didn’t know how to control how powerful they were yet. 

Overall? He’s beyond proud of them. Look at his Super Powerful Fae Spouse, thats His Spouse!!! 

Nadia

She’s embarrassed to say that she’s heard of the Fae but doesn’t know a ton about them.

Though, she’d love for them to sit down and tell her all about the Fae and what its like to be one of them, over a cup of tea. 

She first notices something about MC when she activates her mark and can see all the magic around them, and MC lights up in a way that she has never seen a person, magician or not, light up, ever before in her life. 

Its dazzling and, dare she say, Enchanting. 

Knowing MC is so, so incredibly Powerful is something that draws her to to them, power seeks out power, as it were. It doesn’t hurt that theyre gorgeous, Fae or not. 

She loves seeing displays of MC’s power and magic, and she likes knowing that not many people know about it, its their little secret. 

And the thought of a very powerful Fae creature being SO submissive to her in the bedroom is…enticing. 

Julian

He is….taken aback? Overwhelmed? Scared? Confused? A little horny? All of the above? when MC first tells him.

He’s all for being intimidated by a powerful partner, but the Magic part has him a little wary, he barely understands human magicians, much less the concept of the Fae or Fae magic. 

He doesn’t really know what to do the first time he feels their magic in the magical realms, he thought he was prepared but he wasn’t, at all. 

He wonders why their magic couldn’t stop the plague, they’re so powerful, and they were working as his apprentice, he doesn’t know anything about magic but something feels very bad about knowing they had all that magical power and still weren’t able to stop it, they weren’t able to avoid dying of the plague either. 

Post- upright end he ends up relishing the feeling of their power, especially when they’re using magic in the bedroom. ;) Post reversed ending he’s thankful that MC is such a powerful creature because they have to live in a world full of chaotic powerful magic. 

MURIEL/PORTIA/LUCIO/COURTIERS UNDER THE CUT

Muriel

Muriel lives in the forest, he knows the Fae lore, and he is WARY of MC. He has half a mind to use a fake name until Asra walks in and says “Hi muriel” and blows it. 

He keeps an eye on them at all times, just waiting for something about their True Nature to rear its ugly head, but when it….doesn’t….he’s mostly confused and straight up asks them about it. 

Eventually he gets used to how powerful their magic is, it makes him feel a little better knowing that they’re capable of being at least as dangerous as him, but also choose not to. It gives him…a little hope for himself as a person and his future in not hurting people, even accidentally. 

He’s still really taken aback (and impressed) the first time he sees their full display of power, he’d only heard in tales the power of the Fae…

Is wary of marrying them, he was careful to never drink anything they gave him, so why is he marrying them? He loves them? Oh…right, he does. He just needs to get over the “marrying a Fae creature” thing. 

Portia

She LOVES SECRETS. MC telling her a secret? That they’re secretly a super powerful FAE CREATURE???? She wants to shout it from the rooftops she’s so excited but,~oops~ she wont. *zips mouth motion*

She’s read about Fae in a book in the palace, aren’t they supposed to be like, really tiny? And live in the woods and try to trick you into things? MC do you secretly live in a mushroom? 

Portia is literally dying to find out how powerful MC is, its impressive enough that they’re a magician but his is on a whole new level of impressive to her. (Swoon) But also…she wants to see what MC can do!

She asks MC to make her a cup of tea and then downs the whole thing in one gulp and says “does this mean we’re married now?” and thats how she lets MC know that she wants to get married. 

If MC ever lets her know its ok to tell people, she literally never stops bragging about her super powerful Fae spouse. 

Lucio

Lucio is drawn to power and MC is no different. When they tell him, he responds. “I KNEW there was something special about you! I have a sense for these kinds of things, I attract powerful people, its part of my charm and one of my many talents.” 

He still nearly pees his pants when he feels MC”s power for the first time, he’s used to dealing with powerful creatures but being able to feel their power so close to him, it’s like nothing he’s ever felt before. 

“Youre a what now?” “Of course I’ve heard of the Fae, who do you take me for? I’m worldly.” He says, yknow, like a liar. 

He is chomping at the bit to see MC take someone down though, him displaying his feats of strength slaying the wyrm was essentially his way of flirting (and definitely arousing and intended to be arousing for MC) so he’s ready for their show too. 

Dramatically presents them with a dress made in the style of the Fae he saw in a book. 

Valerius

Do they really expect him to know what that means? That they’re Fae?

(He’s genuinely interested when they explain it to him, he even stops sipping his wine and sits up in his chair to listen) 

After a few minutes he takes a second and wonders if he should have been including the Fae in his diplomatic relations all these years and never has been. Ultimately he cares about Vesuvia above most other things (except for MC), so if they’re a powerful non-human magician, he wants to know how they can help Vesuvia and how Vesuvia can help them. 

(He wont mind a demonstration of their *ahem* immense power, though, perhaps back in his chambers)

Vulgora

POWERFUL YOU SAY? 

They challenge them to a duel, but its mostly a display of MC”s immense powerful energy. 

They earn Vulgora’s respect p much immediately. 

The ONLY way to make them swoon is to beat them in battle and MC does that so like, whens the wedding yknow. 

Vulgora does NOTHING but brag about MC being powerful and capable of squashing any enemy with ease. 

Vlastomil

He’s....attracted to power. He knows power, intimately.

Oh!! She thinks thats very interesting, extremely interesting. 

She does not know or care if you are supposed to take food and drink from any of the Fae but she wholeheartedly does and in fact requests food. 

Volta doesn’t have a very good track record with very powerful beings so she’s a little wary about getting close to them. 

But she’s easily won over if MC gives her lots of food, maybe even magic food like Mazelinka’s soup but more powerful that can keep her full!.

So this is how they begin their callout. With someone who just cant stand me. Which is valid, but their reasoning is honestly hilarious. I just want to focus on how for proof in a callout about the DANGERS of ungracefulace, you get unsourced and also wrong (anyone who actually reads anything I post ever will see that I dont give a pass for phobic stuff ace people or any people do. So again, this doesn't... count as a source of my evil since it diesnt have anything from what I said. But Ill do one better, I actually found said conversation and this is what they were talking about. (For context this is arguing against the whole idea that ace people cant consent to sex because we don't experience sexual attraction)

So first of all I didnt say aces having sex is like lesbians having sex with men at all. I said that an ace person choosing to gave sex with someone counts as consent, and that lesbian sex workers like my aunt are doing so consenually.

Ill definitely give you my wording is bad; when I say "without enjoying it" I'm meaning without being sexually attracted to. And when I said that it doesnt gave to be super enthusiastic I meant that you dont have to be super pumped to have sex for you to want to have sex. Obviously these are different circumstances, but for clarification in the case of an ace person deciding to have sex with their partner there's nothing wrong with that as long as they arent being manipulated or coerced, just like literally any couple ever. This is in reference to the thing from like 2 days ago, and again... its so much. We start out strong with blaming me for "defending 10 year olds being ace" because I'm not some asshole going to tell someine who isnt 10 and is still ace that they didnt actually learn they were ace wyen they were 10.

Then we slide into full lies, nowhere do I even mention "allo kids" or say that its normal for 9 year olds to want or have sex. I said that puberty starts between 9-13, and I said that after puberty people can be interested in sexual stuff. I also said (in the screenshotted part they have in their callout) that obviously its not good and n that I dont think anyone shluld be doing anything sexual until they are at least 16.

This last thing just straight up doesnt make sense. For one, the discussion doesnt gave anything to do with grooming. Someone said someine else was lying about their personal experiences for why they identified as ace at 10, and my point was that they cant decide that person is a liar because they dont think 10 year olds are doing anything sexual. They shouldn't be, but its entirely possible and does happen so unless they literally were in school with that person theres no basis to say the person is lying. But secondly, they acknowledge that I do address the grooming point but not enough for them??? How is that callout worthy???

heres some idea’s for redesigns along with some bulletpoints on what I was thinking for story stuff involving remaking the series

Im having trouble reading off the screenshots so Im gonna write it out under the cut along with probably adding some ideas or expanding on the bullet lists (future me here: I wrote a Lot)

Sam Manson:

-Rich Activist, meaning she’s kinda blind to some troubles going on or doesnt full understand how others are doing financially, along with being raised in a house with people who arnt exactly empathetic and more focused on appearances then worker rights, sam can come off as shallow to others doing activist work.

 it could be a really interesting character arc for her to realize some of the things going on outside of her school and plants that she can help with, along with dealing with that sense of helplessness she feels at being to normal to help anyone she expresses in the show.

-Goth, but cheery? One thing i noticed in the show is how overall cheerful sam can come off while toting goth ideal’s, which may be a part of why she isnt shown to have many goth friends with them seeing her more as a poser becouse their teenagers and teenager Be like that sometimes.

 It’s not a problem in my book but it could be fun to see tucker or danny question it when in goth spaces and sam basically saying the truth that you dont have to be miserable to enjoy dark subject matter. maybe with tucker and danny getting a small interest in some of the “lesser” goth stuff sam introduces to them.

-fights everyone, becouse teenager with boundless energy and Ghosts attacking all the time. sam didnt fight much in the original series and thats a shame.

-facinated by ghost, becouse duh

-I was kinda thinking of her and tucker being introduced by them competing for class president, becouse that seem’s like a position both would be interested in and it be more interesting then having tucker face dash

Tucker Foley

-Likes to influence others is a general statment, but its true tucker likes to be involved in other peoples lives and generally have his oppinion affect people in possitive (or negative) ways. he likes seeing that his involvment matters and he suffers when people ignore him or take his oppinions for granted and id love to see stuff centered around this trait

-level 1 leader/planner, sorta connected to the influencing people thing I think tucker really would thrive in leadership roles that danny just isnt suited to handling, big mobs of people and sam on his side and he is a force to be recond with. Tucker thrives in getting big groups of people to side with him esspecially since technology profficientcy isnt a sign of weakness in this day and age. 

plus him working on his public speaking lines up with his motivation of wanting to be attactive to ladies. 

also Having him working on public speaking stuff and general people person scenario’s gives a lot of reason for the group to interact with the A listers in a less hostile scenario

-tech god I guess, becouse tucker foley

Dan Phantom

-Incarnation of discomfort being the unintentional (At least the first time) fusion of a stubborn 14 year old and his crazy 40 year old father figure with very different morals and oppinions makes existing very, very akward for dan, but great comedy fodder!

-dan is able to have legs or a ghostly tail whenever he pleases unlike vlad or danny, becouse I figured it be a good way to make fights more interesting and their fighting styles different becouse I want more vlad involvement and having  them be extra different types of ghosts makes watching either of them fight much more interesting

-wishes to not exist, esspecially in the presense of either danny or vlads love interests becouse WOW thats akward

-WAAAAY more powerful then danny and vlad, partially becouse making dan a final everything is going to hell desperate final action for danny and vlad would make dan’s appearances more interesting but also becouse of difference’s about vlad plasmius and danny phantom I will talk about when I get to them. 

Dan Discomfort Masters

-“Vlad’s nephew” becouse if you’re meeting this guy stuff has gone horrible wrong on the de-fusing front  and he needs a reason to be in either fenton on masters house hold to get whatever he needs to fix the ghost catcher 

- big ol liar pant’s, partially becouse danny and vlad are Huge Liars but also becouse of the whole, I need shit to stop existing 

-Trying to keep it together becouse he’s probably made to interact with people vlad and danny have Opinions On and honestly he cant decide if he wants to viciously prank jack at every oppertunity or punch himself for thinking of being mean to jack, among other such mixed feelings.

Vlad Masters

-Certified genius due to a number of thing’s including his obession, and becouse being smarter then jack makes him happy and if jack ever expressed interest in a subject He Must Be Better, he might not be trying to kill jack becouse he doesnt want to deal with a ghost hunter ghost for who knows how long but he wont be lesser then jack in ANYTHING.

-fruitloop, still has some backwards logic and morals such as having valarie become a ghost hunter to offer a sparring buddy to danny and whats a better motive to shoot at someone then they ruined their life right but he’s generally such a over the top bird brain trying to show off to everyone that fruitloop is the only description he can be given.

-less evil is a Big Thing, he’s still objectively not a very good man but I want him and danny working together and sharing a roof on the weekends but that means not shooting first and asking questions later on site, so a less evil vlad is needed, plus it just generally makes there interactions more fun and less dangerous which is what im going for, since walker can take over a lot of vlads antagonist role in the story plus danny and vlad making agreements to get stuff out of eachother sounds like a hell of a lot of fun, i liked eye for and eye vlad sue me.

- as a side not I want vlad to be a lot less physically fit and practiced with doing things as a human, seeing him as a man who lords his power over others when he can he prefers relaxing and working as plasmius more then masters, which affects his health and serves a purpose in story for a lesson id like made after watching phantom planet last night

Vlad Plasmius

-loving guardian in that he really, really does want to be a good father and mentor figure to danny even if their relationship is rocky due to long standing lies he’s been feeding him and how tight a grip vlad has on his familys financial health. as well as the whole snatching partial costody as soon as costudy was called into question after dannys accident (Ill get to that) vlad’s babysat in the past for the fenton which is part of it, along with his desire to be better at jack in every aspect.

-great implorer, in which he likes to get minions when he can and usually only grumbles if his minions already have plans when he calls for them, pays great by ghost zone and human standards and usually offers a full health plan, though skulkers case that full health plans is for when he gets his head up his ass and thinks he can actually get either danny or vlads pelt, one of skulkers suits is on vlads lab wall with a nice hole where its face should be as a reminder to those who cross him.

-only legs,  meaning he uses 100% more kicks and ground based attacks then danny and can kick below the bet where danny cant, this plus his fire core making him have to get creative lest he burn his surroundings to the ground has him fighting in a very different way to danny, along with his 20 years of experience. vlad tends to fight ghosts with less reason to leave the ghost zone, and invading lairs to get what he wants, leading to more serious encounters then what danny faces in the begining.

-loves dramatics, becouse vlad plasmius everybody he’s a cookyier villian here

-less evil and more ruthless and efficient to those who get in his way, that arnt who percieves as family 

-Plasmius’s obsession is teaching people lessons, in all the good and horrible ways that can imply. halfa’s have more broad and less restrictive obsessions then other ghosts which makes them more dangerous and able to ammas power.

Danny Fenton

-Fenton works heir, which is played up a lot more in this with vlad backing his family and giving them chances to disgrace themselves on public telivision and get shamed out of wherever their currently living, leading them on a series of moves throughout dannys life before amity park show off their inventions to the world! Since Jazz aggressively refused the role it fell on danny and he actually takes it pretty seriously, believing as a little bab in ghosts and being convinced of their evil from a young age by his parents which you can only imagine does great things for him when he becomes a halfa and learns unkie vlad is one as well.

-has been haunted by the creepy ghost boy title his whole like due to his situation and the fact he is usually made to assist in showing off his parents weapons publicly as a apprentice ghost hunter, one such invention was the fenton portal that had a wire loose during the presentation, when he went in and put it back the doors automatically shut him in and jack and maddie didnt notice he was in there still until the screaming started, this led to some public outcry over weather jack and maddie are fit to raise kids and vlad swooping in for partial costudy of both fenton children “to ease the masses, and besides he’s basically helped raise them anyway whats garenteed weekends at one of vlads places going to do?”  it was a sucky situation.

-bad reputation due to general protectiveness of his parents along with terrible social skills, along with his new trouble of hiding and controlling emerging ghost powers.He doesnt leave a initial good impression on sam and tucker when he first meets them as fenton, and people tend to avoid him to keep away from his parents wierdness anyhow.

-is less good in the traditional sense but wants to keep people safe and happy if he can help it, though its argueable if thats simply a manifestation of his obsession or if its just becouse he’s a sweet kid, once he gets it into his head that ghosts arnt always evil he tries really hard to be nice to ghost too and even tries to save them from his parents when he can. putting his neck out for them.

Danny Phantom

-just wants a lair is a shorthand for wanting to just experience regular ghost things when he’s going ghost, he’s less inclined to fight every ghost he see’s unless their actively hurting people and tries to talk them down, not wanting his afterlife filled with enemies when he officially keels over. 

he has big dreams for a super cool lair of his own that are explored upon the one time he’s split apart by the ghost catcher, mostly becouse phantom rips the  door to his room from its hinges and zooms into the ghost zone as soon as he’s out, found aimlessly wondering helplessly looking for the PERFECT location to start building. he tends to day dream about the lair of his dreams in class.

-no leg’s leading to more air combat and trying to immobalize people with his tail, usually fighting fairly though with his moments of cheap shots in partiicularly deadly battles,, he usually fights people like johnny 13 who mess with people then he does generally harmless ghosts like box ghost in the begining, plus with his in development abilities that include a versatile ice core his fights are more strategy  then sheer beat down or creative weapon making (or heating whatever metal the ghost is wearing to the point of insanity) 

Danny also has this little problem where he “died” in a anti ghost hazmat suit made of stuff to weaken and harm a ghost who comes in contact with jack and maddies little boy and it means its harder on him to access his powers, taking more energy to do things that most ghost would find easy like intangibilty and invisibility, which is a major problem for him esspecially at first, danny’s only made aware of this though vlads help and their working on a way to trick the hazmat suit into changing material with what danny was wearing under the suit, since its being difficult with changing on dannys command, he can put stuff over and under the suit but the suit itself is hard to make budge.  the outfit shown above is after danny learns how to at least add stuff over it with vlads help.

dan does not have problem’s with the material of his costume making him have access to all dannys abilities easily, along with vlads experience and power and dannys creative thinking dan gets the nickname of the ultimate enemy with good reason

- Loves exploring, esspecially the ghost zone its so interesting and full of enteraining characters and the food is Amazing at least in ghost form and vlad’s show him some pretty incredible places in the zone when they agree to work together in the sense of vlad stealing madde and jacks thermoses at the end of fenton fights and danny helping him spelunk in the ghost zone,  its a guilty pleasure to be able to show sam and tucker around when they become friends, natural portals are a tempation danny has a hard time ignoring when he see’s one, much to his loved ones annoyance.  wolf is a terrible enablr of a friend.

- due to his obession with proving himself (its the wording i go with now i might change it to something like control or being loved) danny tends to want people to like him and seeing a opertunity to get them to like him sorta throws him off balance and out of fight mode, usually leading to him cuddling up to them, in phantom form dannys a great cuddler. take caution though he’s been known to trick enemys into thinking he’s gone out of fight mode and either shove them into the nearest portal/thurmos or later freezing them where they stand.  dannys terrible with crowds, esspecially crowds of people who dont like him he freezeses up.

Danny to-tired-to-function (school and not working with parents danny)

-cant wait to to graduate, with no plans to go to college becouse he’s not paying for more hell

-is really in a bad place socially and mentally in the begining, but will become a lot happier once he befriends sam and tucker, though before that he tends to do some pretty desperate and embarrasing things to get attention and has a problem with letting people drag him into trouble on the promise of friendship.

Danny’s Chore’s list:

-deadly laundry with ectoplasm contaminated laundry machines to content with

-helping whoever wants to cook, cook, or being in charge of dinner most nights unless someone else wants to cook (breakfast is jazz’s job, maddie and jack are gently discouraged from cooking, jazz and danny usually or use to just grab take out for lunch if they had time)

-cleaning the lab

-dishes with ecto contaminated dishwasher are always a little dangerous damn appliances and their wills to reak havoc, jazz likes to help make sure it doesnt hurt anyone since its more dangerous then the laundry machines

-assembling weapons with parents for the vault, or incase of a huge ghost invasion so everyone has a chance at a weapon, danny usually just assembles the less dangerous stuff that doesnt require a lot of welding

-general house maintense, vacuuming and window cleaning while jazz mops and dusts 

-jazz cleans the weapons vault after learning dannys secret becouse its a lot less dangerous for her then for him and hes infinitly grateful

AND DONE thats some of my thoughts on what could be done with a re design of the characters and story beats listed, im tired of writing now but enjoyed getting this out

Michael Myers: Chapters 1-3

Anyways, here we go! My personal favorite of who I’ve written for!

How You Met/Left

You and Michael had one thing in common; you were quiet. Well, you were quiet, not so much anymore. Now you were loud, only because you wanted to make people laugh.

Just simply watching people was what you preferred to do, but thats all you could do when you were first at Smith’s Grove Sanitarium.

You remembered going there when you were extremely young to meet your mother when your father would bring you at least once a month. At that point, you didn't understand your limits of where you could and couldn't go. A mistake on the Staff’s behalf for not paying attention or giving the slightest damn about who went where whenever.

You had managed to stray away from your father at one point during the normally 45 minutes to an hour visit. Each hall was the same in color and distance, making it easy to find yourself lost.

Coming to the end of a narrow beige and hideous, yellow corridor you looked into an office with a somewhat older gentleman with two taller men you can now safely assume were bodyguards. A boy maybe a few years older than you, not by much was sat at the table; handcuffed. The older man was mainly asking questions only to not receive a mere glance from the boy.

Being the shy and curious one you were that young, you hid slightly behind the door before the halls rang out with a heavy squeak from the door as you bumped into it. Everyone looked up, except for the boy that is.

“Loomis…?” One body guard called out as they stared at you. Before the guards could scoop you up and return you to wherever the hell you had come from, Loomis stopped them.

“Wait, gentlemen,” Loomis held out his hand.

“Now Loomis I don't think we should do this-” One guard exclaimed, his eyes narrowed sharply on Loomis. “Hush now and bring her here. Hello little one. Now what might you be doing so far down these halls?” Loomis kneeled down to your level as your back pressed against a pair of legs, belonging to a guard. 

Everyone seemed to completely forget the boy in handcuffs was even sitting at the table. 

“Loomis, this is not a very good idea. Considering Michael being a fucking psycho-” This guard was cut off once more by Loomis only to have him pick you up and set you on the chair in front of Michael, where he was previously sitting.

“Now, this is my patient. Say hello, you have a guest Mikey,” Loomis put his hand on your back. Everything was moving too fast for you to understand what anyone was saying or what was happening.

Silence.

“Okay, Miss, me and my guards are going to be on the other side of this doorway. If you would please, this shouldn’t take much of your time.”

Bitter silence.

“Loomis, what the actual fuc-”

“Shut the hell up and get into the office, if she manages to get him to talk we're going to have a major breakthrough!” Loomis spat and shut the door. Nothing else he or the guards said was audible.

You sat there in silence for a few seconds until Loomis or one of the guards tapped on the glass window separating the five of you, “Darling it's okay to talk to him, he's harmless.”

For being so young you could tell something about Loomis was off. You turned your attention back to Michael who was positioned the exact same way you saw him moments before; dirty light brown hair in front of his eyes with his tall, lean body hunched over. He seemed eerily tall for being around your age.

It couldn’t have even been a whole 5 minutes, everything happened so suddenly.

“Hi,” You said quietly.

Nothing.

“Why are you so sad? Those men looked friendly.” Talking about the guards, that is.

A small, almost amused grunt.

“I'm here with my daddy to see my mama. She’s been in here for a while but she’s gonna come home soon, back to me and daddy. Why are you here?”

Pure silence once again.

“Sometimes, I like to color with this one old man here, his colored pencils are nice,” You reach forward and grab a piece of paper and the old, nearly broken crayons in front of him. He hadn’t seemed to had touched them at all, even with the hand that was free.

Starting to color you ask, well more so tell him little things like how your day was and which color was your favorite of what you had in your hand. He didn’t seem to make much noise except for a few entertained grunts at how happy you were to just talk to someone, especially him.

“So what’s your name?”

“Michael.”

“I used to ha-”

Before you could finish answering Loomis followed by his two guards bustled out of the office to confirm that Michael had just spoken not only in general, but to a female. Loomis hurriedly rushed you out of the space and back to the main entrance where he talked to a receptionist as you walked back into the visiting hall.

This seemed to happen more frequently when you visited your mother.

 Each time you would wander the halls to find Michael’s room eventually one of the guards would wait for you by the main entrance and lead you back to Michael. Each ‘session’ Michael had answered a bit more than before, only simple questions like, “How was your day?”, or “Did you sleep well?”

After a few years, with your mother not seeming to have any interest in leaving, you looked forward to seeing Michael more than her. 

Heading towards the left wing and down the first flight of stairs you hear Loomis and some other man that you couldn’t recognize talking outside of Michael's cell.

“Loomis this is ridiculous. This…. Th-this monster doesn’t have any feelings. The testing and psychological evaluations all come back the same. You have your head so far up your ass on this case Loomis, I swear you need to drop it now. Michael is a deranged psychopath, sociopath, we don’t even know, that will kill that girl the moment you uncuff him today. This experiment you have going on is far too dangerous. I certainly can't go back to the Head of the Board and tell them, ‘why yes, I did accept Loomis to have another minor in Myers’ cell unattended to’.”

“I have something going on here Grant. Yes the Board will decline my actions until further evaluation but the legal statistics here will handle another death if it does occur. Her mother, as I've gathered is clinically depressed and easily could affect her daughters health, which is an easy excuse if something does happen to go wrong.” Loomis and Grant continue for a moment until you step onto the bottom step as they both look at you.

“What… do you mean, ‘if something goes wrong’?” You questioned harshly.

“Ah, Miss, it's just simple background checks to make sure you are secured to see Michael,” Loomis was a deadbeat liar, it was written all over his egotistical face.

You knew this once you were old enough to understand all the made up bullshit he said.

So what if Michael would be uncuffed today? Yeah, Michael could easily snap your neck if he wanted too, he was a big guy now, almost 6 1/2ft if not already and his shoulder’s were broader than anything you’ve ever seen. You saw him stand up with the guards once, and he towered over them by a hunch, let alone you, being considered taller than normal for your age.

You let yourself in, Loomis following quickly behind you as you sat in front of Michael.

“Hey Michael,” You said, still trying to process what Loomis and Grant were talking about.

Nothing.

“Now Mikey, I’m going to-” Loomis started.

“Don't call him Mikey.” You were starting to get more and more agitated with Loomis every time he opened his mouth.

“Pardon me?”

“Don’t call him Mikey. His name is Michael and he should be referred to as Michael, he isn’t some sort of pet you have here, Samuel, ” You glare at Loomis as Michael sits with his head down.

“Now….Michael, I'm going to uncuff you today to talk to her, one wrong move and every cop in a five mile radius will be in this room.”

“That's a bit unnecessary, Dr. Loomis,” At this point you almost uncuffed Michael yourself.

Loomis leaned down to uncuff Michael and set them on the table next to him, but taking the keys and shoving them into his waistcoat pocket. Michael didn’t move his hands or anything, just remained in the same position since you first met him years before. 

Once Loomis shut the door to the office you leaned in to Michael and put your hands on the table.

“Michael I don't like what they have going on here or how they talk about you. Loomis, or whoever the fuck he is.. Is.. not right. I don’t know a word idiotic enough to describe him”

Nothing.

“I bet you he’s a cuck,” You sat back a bit and crossed your arms.

A small chuckle emitted from his stomach. This is the first time you heard him actually laugh, it made you smile in surprise.

“Michael, did you... just laugh? At me? What the fuck?” Your smile grew to a grin as you leaned in towards the table once again.

He smirked. “God dammit, you smug bastard. Loomis is a real asshat either way.” You breathed out.

Michael laughed at ‘asshat’. That one he’s never heard before.

“Could…. I see your hands?” You said, out of the blue.

Nothing, as his smile immediately faded and the silence grew once again.

“I- I mean I've only seen your head and a bit of your face, at least do me the courtesy of letting me see your fucking hands when they aren't handcuffed to this goddamn dollar store cardboard table!” You joked.

Nothing.

“Fuck, I’m sor-” 

Michael slowly moved his left arm and then his right until his hands were on the table in a sort of fist. His arms were muscular as his shirt seemed torn at how built his body was. You reached out and touched them with both of your hands. They were cold and callused, but so much bigger compared to yours. They could almost fit your whole head in them. You couldn’t not touch them.

You quickly stopped touching his hands as soon as you realized you should have asked. “Oh… Um, my bad Michael I should have a-”

“Your hands are small,” He mocked you, his voice low and heavy, catching you off guard completely.

“Your hands are so big,” Your smile stretched from ear to ear.  You took one of his hands and looked at it closely while playing with his fingers. He chuckled again, amused with you. His normal urges to crush a skull completely gone, and they had been for a while since he had met with you. Well, his urges to kill you were gone. Still very much present for Loomis. He wasn’t too fond of how he talked about you when you left.

“Well, at least I got a sentence out of you, not even meaning to,” You beamed.

Loomis rushed into the room as Michael’s grip on your hand tightened. You had grown up with a bunch of boys so the grip wasn’t as bad, but it still made you wince in surprise as you looked back at Michael, eyes wide. 

Loomis darted towards you to take you back into the lobby as Michael stood up and jerked you towards him across the table. You were able to see his face, but it was all a blur it was so fast. You noticed eyes,  large and blue, yet so dark, like nothing was looking back at you as his toned face got close to yours. 

“Haddonfield.”

His voice huskier and honestly, scarier than before. Loomis tore you away as guards grab at Michael’s arms to pull him back forcefully. Michael let go of your hand to struggle against them as Loomis rushes you down to the corridor entrance where your father was waiting.

As you rush out of the building practically being dragged out by Loomis you hear buzzers or alarms going off in the building.

“Oh, ah, yes everything went well thank you for coming once again Miss, lovely to see you again. Michael will be…uhh... just fine,” Loomis said looking back and around the car before shutting you in and smacking the top of the roof as your father drove home.

~6 Years Later~

“Haddonfield, huh? What are you up to now Michael…?” You say, only a few hours from Haddonfield Illinois, your moving truck trailing behind you.

Reuniting

Before settling into your, well, Michael’s house, you went through town first to meet the people and learn more about Haddonfield itself while the movers set your belongings on the large, wrap around porch of the house.

You learned about Michael killing his sister, Judith, when he was young, which made sense to how you met him. You also learned about the killings that happened once he had escaped, which also made sense to the events that caused you to be rushed out by Loomis. 

Every detail someone had told you from the town pieced together the half-assed explanations Loomis had given you in the offices. The hardest part was trying not to say, “Oh, Michael? Michael Myers? Yea I’m about to go see him, yah yeet!” whenever someone would mention how horrendous he was and his poor family. 

Figuring out where everything was located in Haddonfield was your goal, but you mainly wanted to clear up every detail about Michael that you could on the way.

Questions still rang your mind like, “Who was Loomis?”, “Why did Michael trust, if you would call it trust, you?”, “Was he even still here?” or "was he even going to let you live?”.

It was late and you decided to head back to the house. It was a somewhat older looking home from the outside, but large on the inside with spaced out rooms and a lavish upstairs with a wrap around staircase.

Of course the place had been a bit run down since anyone had last been living in it. Michael must have only visited there, rather than lived.

You weren’t even sure he would be there at this point. It had been about six years since you had seen Michael, but you trusted him. Either way you weren’t going to be moving a lot in tonight, mainly because of your respect for Michael and his house that you felt like it wasn’t right to just take away all of his memories to start some of your own.

You paid the truck driver for setting most of the boxes on the porch and looked around inside.

Definitely outdated, but that wasn’t the major problem, the holes in the flooring and ceiling were. There weren’t many, but a few that would need to be fixed as soon as you could get around to them. “Jesus Christ. Michael, how do you stay here?” You shook your head and looked around more upstairs before finding, what you assumed was Judith’s old room. The feeling was hot and heavy, like you could feel eyes watching you as you moved around the house. 

You decided to leave that room alone and just close the door. The master bedroom was across the hall, on the other side of the staircase that led upstairs. 

Bringing up a few personal boxes of clothes and such you check out the master bathroom. Large windows looked out on the backyard with a tub and separate shower, fairly new for such an older house. 

Placing your bathroom needs on the long stretched sink you step back into the bedroom and place your bedding and clothes on a dresser.

It had took you a long while to get here and bringing in all of the heavy duty boxes and furniture wasn’t very pleasing to you, being about 11 p.m. now. You figured you just do it all in the morning and work on finding out more on Michael after moving your things in.

The eyes you had felt in Judith’s room were indeed those of Michael’s. Of course he had waited as long as he needed, you had trusted him and respected him back in Smith’s Grove, and he knew that you would arrive at some point. It wasn’t like he was leaving any time soon anyways.

You seemed to like the house as much as Michael did when he was much younger, now it was just a casing for dead memories he chose not to recall. He would have confronted you earlier, but too many people seemed to be around today, most likely to discuss why the hell someone would move into the Myer’s house.

He also wanted to make sure it was actually you. He knew it was you, but he still needed time to let you just wander now that you had arrived. While you had been out in town, he followed you and watched who you talked to and what stores you entered. You seemed to be comfortable in Haddonfield, and not one person gave you a wrong look, they just found it odd that someone would move into the Myer’s house. 

Michael couldn’t give two shits what you did with the house, as long as you kept it there and didn’t sell it off. He was hoping you would tear away everything in Judith’s room, just practically get rid of it completely. The house just had to stay.

He had watched you examine the bathroom in the master bedroom for a short while before you had gone to bed.

Moving to the front of the house he noticed all of your boxes still on the porch along with heavy furniture like a couch, a desk, and some other appliances. It didn’t take him long to move all of the boxes inside anyways, even though there were many of them.

Not much furniture had been in the house for years, and besides Judith’s room and a few holes on the ceiling, the house was spotless. Just dirty, and that was all.

With all of the boxes and furniture moved into the front area and empty living room, Michael waited for morning.

Sleep was never his thing, and he never needed to be comfortable when resting either. He could sleep sitting straight up, if you even wanted to call it sleeping, more so short rests, naps almost.

He had sat in an older chair that his mother used to sit in when he was younger and rested for no more than an forty-five minutes to an hour, but that was enough for him. The rest of the time he remained snooping through your boxes or sitting in his mother’s chair.

By morning, you had woke up earlier than expected, 8 a.m. to be precise. You normally would wake up this early and just go back to sleep, but being here gave you energy to get up and roll, like you actually had a reason to get up now. You figured it would be best to finish moving in everything from outside in case the storm that was called decided to roll in early.

It was still somewhat dark outside, enough for you to walk right past the boxes in the front room and living room along with Michael sitting in his mother’s chair still, watching you walk by.

You opened the door but… nothing was to there to bring in. You turned back around and looked back into the living room. Every box was there, even the furniture. Michael had walked back and was standing behind the door, but when you closed it you walked past him once more.

You rubbed your face and eyes, thinking nothing of it, as you walked over to a stack of boxes and opened the first one that had just a bunch of your older books in it. The office upstairs had a bookcase on each wall near an open bay window, which would make a good space for you to work.

You grabbed all the books you could and turned around to head up the spiral staircase, but you bump into something broad instead. You look up and see nothing but navy blue and a white mask. All you could do was stare as you backed away slightly. 

The figure was deathly tall, he literally towered over you.

“Umm… ca…. Can I he-... help you?” You stammered, backing up against your pile of boxes.

His head turned to the side to a bit, but remained eye contact with you. His eyes were a bright blue, yet nothing seemed to look back at you. They almost reminded you of Michaels….

You look back at him, narrowing your eyes as you drop the books and move closer towards him, it was Michael. He lifts his mask up slightly past his nose and grins. You grab his jaw with both of your hands out of excitement as his mask falls back, off of his head.

This was the very first time you actually got to see his face. His whole face. He pulled away, eyes wide, almost ashamed that he didn’t have his mask, but you reach forward again and grabbed him.

“Hey, hey, hey, no, you come back here,” You laugh. He only looks at you. You run your hands up and down his jawline as you study his masculine features. Michael was so much taller than you still, it was like a little kid trying to tug on someone's sleeve for attention.

This time, you pull away and look down.

“Dammit, I did it again. I’m sorry Michael, I shouldn’t have done that…” You rub the back of your neck, but this time he grabs one of your hands.

It had been six years, and his hands were still so much larger than yours, like your hands had shrunk since the last time you saw him.

“Your hands are so big,” You smiled. It was like you were talking to younger Michael again.

“Your hands are still so small.”

Deciding To Stay You were able to finish unpacking most of your belongings that day, with Michael off moving something much heavier or just sort of standing and observing what you did as you renovated his childhood home. 

Deep down, he couldn't wait to see what you would do to the house and what changes you would make to it.

“This should be the last one that needs to be brought up here, into this room that is. Most of the other things downstairs are just my clothes and other shit to go into the bathroom,” You state as you set down the last box of books on the floor next to your desk. 

That room, for now, was complete.

Before he had begun earlier that morning moving in your kitchen appliances, you had successfully managed to convince him to take his mask off for the day. It took a bit of encouraging, but you told him nothing had to be done outside so no one would have to see him.

It was about four in the afternoon when each box was placed in its designated room and most of the kitchen, living room, bathroom, and office area looked somewhat decent. You had a few days before you would call the electrician or cable company, but you could do without that for a bit. Everything you needed worked fine; toilet, shower, stove, fridge, etc.

“Michael?” You had began rummaging through the fridge putting things away and looking for something to make for dinner. Both Michael and you skipped breakfast and you only had a drink for lunch, if that could be considered lunch.

Come to think of it, you’ve never seen Michael eat, at all; ever.

He only looked over at you. He was standing in the entrance to the kitchen as soon as you called him from upstairs. How he managed to get there so fast and so quietly amazed you, but you learned not to question it.

“Two things: One, I’m making something for dinner, I don't know what yet, but what would you like? I haven’t seen you eat at all today… or… ever… And Two,” At this point you stopped and turned around to face him, he was now right behind you as you leaned back against the countertop, “I… I don’t want to change anything about you but… God I don't know how to put this without sounding bitchy.” You laughed nervously to try and break the silence.

His eyes narrowed on you, almost as if he was saying ‘just say it’. He was good at talking with his eyes and little actions, but it was hard to actually get him to answer you with words.

“Alright, alright. You don't have to if you don’t want to, obviously if you wouldn’t want to you wouldn’t, but that's besides the point,” You shook your head. You were rambling now, “If you could try to talk a bit that would be great. I mean, just… I don’t know, it would just be nice to hear you talk, and to answer me sometimes. You’re a bit hard to read Michael,” You chuckled at the last statement. You didn’t want him to talk all the time, because you knew he wouldn’t, just a few things here and there.

Michael continued to stare at you, and walked towards the fridge and pulled out something. It was just a mixture of food that really didn’t go together; some fruit, lunch meat, salsa, and a bottle of ketchup. He stood straight up again, he actually had to crouch to see in the fridge he was so damn tall.

There was a long pause before he did answer, his voice emotionless, “I’ll try.”

You gave a wry smile and sighed, “You don’t know much about food do you?”

He looked down at the array of what he picked out and shook his head. Food at Smith’s Grove, as you could guess, wasn’t very high quality.

“Do… you know how to cook?”

He shook his head.

“Bake?”

Nope.

“Anything…?”

He paused for a moment, “Microwave…” He trailed off before shaking his head.

“Well… at least that’s a start. But… do you mind if I talk to you while I fix something? I’ve probably been talking a lot but I��� want to know I guess. Fuck, it’s been what? Six years since I last saw you and… I guess I missed talking to you or, talking at you. All I really know about you is your favorite color is navy blue, you killed a lot of people and your mom apparently made some bomb ass spaghetti.”

Your cheeks flushed as you thought about when you and him were younger and your visits. Was it in the best place? No. Was it around people either of you trusted? No. But it was still something.

Fuck it. Spaghetti it is, you thought.

Michael let out a sigh, or a grunt, it was hard to tell. He was smiling ever so slightly as he stood on the other side of the island. What really called you yo him was your confidence and will to… thrive. Like nothing else mattered in the world to you.

You had moved here knowing God damn well that you were looking for him, Michael-fucking-Myers, the boy from the asylum you met when you were both so little. The boy who killed his sister and came back every Halloween to just rampage through the small town.

He saw the looks on peoples faces when hearing that you had moved into the Myers house, yet you didn’t pay them one mind. Let alone him taking his mask off and chuckling at you.

It didn’t feel right to him, but it did at the same time. Confusion raced inside of him but you were, at this point, a necessity to him. Love? He didn’t think so, but he didn’t know what to think at this point. He didn’t really… remember what emotions felt like. It was only fair to you that you knew everything, seeing that you actually cared for him and missed him.

He had seen what you decided to make. It made living in the house feel like he was home again, like nothing about what he did was relevant then.

It took most of the time that you cooked dinner for him to explain. You had asked him a lot of questions about what you heard and if they were true. His head nods and shakes were subtle but explanatory. When he did make a correction is was small and to the point. You figured this was as much as you would get out of him, but that was good enough. 

You had his trust, and he had your feelings.

You didn’t interrupt much, and if you did it was just a nod or some small comment about the situation. What caught him off guard was your acceptance, so to say. Nothing he admitted to bothered you in the slightest. It was almost as if you were amused at his story told in nods, yet so passionate in listening to him, something no one ever did, until now.

Preparing both plates, you also asked him about the house. “I didn’t touch much of Judith’s room, but-”

“Do anything to it. Tear it down, anything. Make this yours,” his voice was croaky but strong, aggressive as if he was waiting for that.

“Well… I didn’t want to just come into your house and-” You had gotten two drinks for the both of you.

“Yours.” He cut you off, making sure to deeply emphasize ‘yours’ to better prove his point.

“Ours.” You corrected back.

You smiled and set his plate on the counter in front of him. You hadn’t bought a proper dining room table or chairs, so leaning in the countertop would have to do for now.

“If you don’t like it you don’t have to eat it.” You leaned down to take a bite, but Michael had already finished his plate. You stopped mid bite for a second and glared at the plate he had just set back down on the counter; clean. Tilting your head and cutting your eyes up and him you grin and continued eating.

“There's more,” You had a mouth full of noodle as you pointed behind you to the pot on the stove.

At least he seemed to like your food, the pot was empty when you turned around to get more; it was all on his plate.

“More-” His voice was low and muffled by the bread he had shoved in his mouth.

“No!” You hissed as you laughed and threw away your plate, “We would have had the rest of that tomorrow for lunch or dinner if you didn’t stuff your face Myers.”

Michael glared at you and he shoved the last bit of spaghetti and bread he had into his mouth.

Cleaning up his mess and the dishes you walked over to him and looked up at him.

“Spaghetti every Saturday night from here on, got it? With leftovers for Sunday lunch included, got it?” You put your pointer finger on his chest and waited for his response before you would let him walk away.

He was pleased to hear that you were staying here and seemed happy. He didn’t expect for this to turn out the way it did, but this was sure as hell fine for him.

His eyes studied you for a bit before he picked you up and sat you on the countertop, and leaned in towards your red lips, staring at you with his cold blue eyes.

He sneered gruffly with a single word,

“Deal.”
