a reminder on side-events; they are non-mandatory occasional events that your muse can choose to participate in or not.

with their various schedules taking them away from the company for weeks at time and their high demand, LEGACY'S NEW GENERATION OF IDOL will be holding mini-concerts at EVERLAND for their fans. the GIRLS (crystallis, fabula and nova) will perform on FEBRUARY 14 (valentine's day), while the BOYS (type zero, versus and agito) will perform on MARCH 14 (white day). for the mini-concerts, each group will perform 3 SONGS, which will be followed by a photo op during which, each idol will take pictures with 5 LUCKY FANS (solo). note that the environment will be heavily controled with security present during the photo op. no fans will be allowed to touch the idols for their safety.

finally, after the conclusion of the MINIFES idols will be have ONE HOUR to enjoy EVERLAND. barriers and security members will be prosent so they may enjoy their time without being interrupted by fans.

as always, doing concerts is tiring but fun, and hyejoo likes being there with all the other girl groups. but this time it's valentine's day and it's at everland, and the atmosphere was even more exciting with all the cute pink and red heart decorations everywhere. the only way this would be better is if the legacy boy groups could also perform on the same day, but she supposes she can't get everything she wants, and maybe this is for the best anyways. she can't ask for too much when they already get all this free time after the concert to explore.

"before we go on the rides, can we get headbands?" she asks, turning to yura as they enter the store. "i feel like you can't go to everland without getting cute accessories, it just wouldn't feel right! and it'll be cute because we can match." and she thinks everyone else feels the same, because the store is stocked with various types of headbands and keychains and bags, and they probably make a ton of money if the general public has hyejoo's mindset.

she looks around, then reaches for a headband with panda ears and puts it on her head, turning to show the older girl. "what do you think of this? they even have a matching bag." hyejoo points to a backpack with a panda face hanging on the wall. "or they have these flower ones too! so many choices."

perhaps he sounded just a little bit creepy giggling beside kai, bouncing on his heels to see where they'd go first. he'd left the reigns of directions to kai, not all too picky on where they'd be headed now that they had some time to roam free after a successful white day mini stage.

seeing fans got max all giddy and bubbling with energy. the direct comparison to last year when they'd been here as members of spring boys instead did little to help. if anything he now could clearly see phones following them, voices calling for them, making it hard for max to not snap up at every shout of his name and rush over to give another ten autographs before he'd receive a scolding look to enjoy his time instead of indulging the fans even more.

so to stop himself from that he'd tugged himself close to kai, an arm tossed over his shoulders while they were walking along. "don't you think it's like... funny we're back here?"

a lovefes starter for @yujinlgc

being backstage while the other girl groups performed was always fun. somin's been a legacy fan since dbsd debuted, so she's been following them closely since then, and despite debuting in a group under legacy herself, it's never stopped her from still following all of the new releases.

also being at everland is just fun.

"unnie, have you been to everland before?" somin asks, half paying attention to the performers and half just wanting to chat, having turned to the crystallis member closest to her. she fiddles with her necklace for a little bit, trying to think of what ride she wants to go on the most once they're allowed (mostly) free(ish) reign on the park afterwards.

"do you think they'll let me go on t-express?" she asks, having been very interested in the wooden rollercoaster. she's a self-proclaimed not-scaredy-cat and had been wondering if this would be scary, considering she's never been on a rollercoaster before but she's also not afraid of heights.

"Do you think that's how the animals in the zoo area feel?" Minseo points to the barriers separating them from the concertgoers and regular amusement park attendees. She was grateful for the free-ish hour to explore the amusement park without having to worry about her surroundings, but somehow, the barriers and security roaming around made her more hyper-aware of the situation. She had gravitated towards Yujin when she had spotted her backstage, complimenting her group's uniform the moment she could rush to her side. She presses her lips into a tight line, pursing them out into a pout. "Actually, don't answer that... I might make us sad and it's Valentine's Day!"

"Are you giving anyone chocolates today?" She questions with a curious tilt of her head, shifting her attention to the map in front of them. Was she prying too much? It was a playful question to see if she was interested in anyone. At this point, Minseo was ready to live vicariously through her friends. Yujin had always been someone that intimidated her, but it stemmed from her unique perspective that the older woman seemed to know herself in a way that only maturity could aid in helping her reach that level of self-acceptance and the cherry on top was that she acted so gracefully to those around her. Perhaps, she could learn a lot from their blossoming friendship.

"Should we go for churros?" She clasps her hand together in front of her, beaming at Yujin when she stops glancing at the map in front of them. "I heard that the caramel and chocolate sauces are delicious. I'm craving a hot chocolate too..." Or a frozen drink. Why did she crave cold things during Winter? She rubs her hands together, pulling the gloves from the pockets of her jacket to slide them over her fingers. "I wanted to try one of the rides too before we have to leave. Do you have a favorite one?"

₊ ˚ ⊹ 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐘 𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐄 , a show of gratitude. ( solo )

it's not been long since gyuris changed career pathes, the transition from idol trainee to actress a slow ( but steady ) move, but gratitude bleeds from her all the same. she's not known her manager for very long, not in the way so many of her newfound colleagues within the space have theirs, her previously understood treasure trove of memories offering flashes of faces and snippets of names here and there, but very little of anything else. there was still a learning period, a period of adjustment, not only in relearning the professional space of her craft, but the people she now would find herself around more often than not— she's already done well to break the ice, a comfortable familiarity budding between herself and who' she'd first assumed was her rather stoic manager who'd first presented herself as a rather stoic woman.

gyuri had seen right through the facade, the older womans walls slowly but surely breaking within their first few days together. the younger prides herself on being attentive, on taking in the smaller details, cataloging and compartmentalizing, so it's not hard to notice the soft edges hidden between the harsh exterior.

deciding on simplicity, a gesture smaller in size as to not be too overwhelming too quickly ( because, oh, gyuri will allow herself to ramp things up the longer she and her manager find themselves in one anothers company ), gyuri decides on friendship necklaces— juvenile? maybe, but not lacking in sincerity.

gyuri would love to call her manager a friend someday, to have her as someone she could truly confide in if ever in need once they've grown to know one another better.

a sun and a moon. opposites, paralleling gyuris firey, outspoken nature and the older womans stoic calm. plain, gaudy embellishments an unnecessary need when these were pieces gyuri wanted them to be able to wear as everyday accessories if they chose.

next year, she'll go bigger. for now, this is the perfect start.

love month 2k24: a gift for the manager

After having been on the acting path for about a year Haemin decided that it was finally time to showcase his appreciation for everyone who had stood by him through the rollercoaster of events and feelings the last twelve months and what better time than to snap up some Valentine's gifts. He knew he could probably get a deal on some nice things even if they weren't for a romantic partner and more of a business gift. Sometimes having such a consumerist holiday was useful since it meant that there were lots of things to be found ranging from useful to useless, tasty to tacky.

For his stylist noonas he picked up a few small boxes of chocolate and handwrote a short note thanking them for making him always look good and wishing for continued great work together. He did debate getting them a small flower but decided that it would be overkill and chocolates were the way to go. Like, who didn't enjoy chocolate? Besides, the boxes were hella cute and impersonal enough not to be misconstrued as anything but a thank you gift.

As he sat down to enjoy a hard earned coffee Haemin wondered what he could give to his manager. His manager who had been with him from early morning to late at night driving him wherever he needed to be during his busy schedules and making sure he was there promptly and with everything he needed to succeed. It was a hard job, and he probably had to sacrifice a lot of his personal time to be with him so he really needed to find a gift that conveyed just how grateful he was to have such an amazing manager hyung.

Throwing money at a gift purely because it was expensive didn't seem to be the way to go (and Haemin wasn't made of money anyway). Something useful would be the way to go, maybe something edible too. Perhaps a nice warm scarf to ward off the winter chill, or a nice pair of gloves. A grin settled on his face as he imagined gifting his manager hyung several bottles of alcohol but that almost seemed like an apology, although a nice bottle of wine could be nice. That was something adults got each other, right? Unfortunately, Haemin knew nothing of wine so that was a no go.

Thirty minutes later, he left the mall feeling happy with his choice of gifts. In the end he decided on a couple of coffee gift cards (because caffeine was worth its weight in gold) as well as a nice wool scarf that could go with any outfit.

Hopefully he'd appreciate it.

its been some time since v&a got to perform together, so it was really nice to be able to perform rock with you again. hopefully they'll have another song together but with their split comebacks, it doesn't seem like it will be any time soon. it's almost like a shock reminder that they are sometimes one unit, but also two separate entities for the most part, with their own identities. although it really did make yushin laugh that all the boys got the same uniform. surely the girls didn't too?

and blue hour, their debut song, with a change in the member lineup now, felt refreshing to do with the new roster of agito boys. old, but new. constantly changing. in a positive way, if yushin could personally say that, though no one was asking. honestly, with the song choices of the three songs, they all make him feel differently in a way, not static at all. scent of you was their song they promoted in japan initially but they were performing the Korean version. it took a few times to ensure that yushin didn't stumble on his lyrics and spout out the wrong language during the performance, which he did at first during practice. it's truly difficult to do songs in different languages, and he can't say it's his favourite thing to adapt to with different versions of a song.

it's good to be here. yushin smiles, after agito has performed, waiting for everyone to finish their performances before preparing for the next segment of the day. ( can he admit, he's most excited about going to explore everland after but it's their jobs as idols to perform and to spend time with fans. ) wiping the sweat off his bro, yushin's thankful for the time period to relax and literally, physically cool down before hanging out with the fans. surely it wouldn't be the best experience, all drenched in sweat and out of breath to take photo ops. or would it? well. the makeup artists on standby don't agree, as they powder them a little and fluff up their hair again.

LOVE MINIFES - MARCH 14

Maybe it's because he's new at this, but Baek always found it especially challenging to interact with a crowd when they performed. Type Zero's choreographies aren't easy either, and with an event related to White Day, he had expected them to tone it down, but Make a Wish and Spray aren't exactly the type of songs you can slack off.

That's why having Like a Movie in their setlist proved to be a true blessing. It's one of Baek's favorite songs from his debut album and, as a vocalist, one of the most fun to sing, too. Maybe he's just too self-centered, but he'll take every chance to show off his singing abilities, especially when it's the one thing that can make him stand out in a group full of very talented dancers.

This is not the type of song you hype the crowd for noise, so when the instrumental starts playing, and they give the cue, Baek encourages their audience to raise their hands, phones, or lightsticks and lightly swing them. It's not necessarily a happy song, but just standing there feels wrong, so when Baek walks to his end, he tries to make eye contact with people as much as he can, smiles, and waves when he gets the chance. Baek gets some responses from the public when he crouches near the edge of the stage and does nothing but tilt his head as his group mates sing their parts, which is a curious reaction.

"Today was great. Thank you for coming all the way here to support us. I hope you had fun," he says when the song is over, and they line up again to greet the audience one final time. "Did anyone bring their significant other to today's concert?" to which he got a few raised hands, "thank you for coming along with your partner. I hope you also had fun, and I also expect we get the chance to see each other again in the future," he waves again and, when the time comes, he bows before exiting the stage.

jino is not a gift-giver.

( not a good one, at least.

for example: as a kid, one field day or the like of one, the moon family had set out for a picnic among the other families on the beach.

it was fun, it was sun, and somehow six-year-old jino had gotten it into his head that he wanted to give his bestest, most precious, most funnest older sister a gift.

back then, jino had been six.

and he was also pocket-empty poor because the last time his mom had given him pocket money, he had spent it on pokemon cards.

so, what was a pocket-empty, desperate but precious ( oh-so-precious ) six-year-old little brother, to do, you ask?

digging in the sand, jino had found a stick.

said stick looked … worse for wear, so he rounded up the ribbon his mother had tied their picnic sandwiches and dressed that darn stick up.

ta-da! the gift only a desperate, pocket-empty six-year-old little brother could come up with.

safe to say, jiah had taken it because jino would have cried if she didn’t but everyone could agree:

back to the present: jino is twenty ( soon to be twenty-one ) and he knows, now, that a stick is not a suitable gift.

unsurprisingly, his love language of choice was more of the do-er variety. and for a moment, he could’ve sworn giving tickets to the head of the agency and calling them ‘get jino to do whatever you want’ bucks sounded like an amazing idea.

but that was yesterday.

today, he mulled it over and realizes, there was no way that the head of an agency as great as lc’s would ever require any help of his that they could not have hired from some outside source, so he thinks it over again.

and again.

and again, again, because jino at the end of the day is just a boy with his head in the clouds and too much money at his disposal for any practical, substantial gift.

so, he goes with what he’s best at:

fumbling around until a bright idea — or in this case, a shiny and pretty gift lands in his hands. and lo and behold: something shiny beckons his way. somewhere in the display window of the local lego shop was exactly what he was looking for. last time, he’d been here because he lost a few pieces for one of the models he had been working on with seunghyun, but now … spying that flower display in the window, this could make for a good gift, right?

last he checked, heo aecha wasn’t allergic to flowers, but then again, was it a good idea to have flowers around a newborn? probably not, right? he’s sure he’s read it somewhere, don’t ask him where.

yea, this would make a fine gift, he thinks, as he walks out of the shop alongside a dozen or so other significant others who had thought the same as him because why bother with real flowers that would just die a week later, right? 

now, jino thinks as he gets onto the next subway car, all he needs is a box. 

tl;dr jino's gift of choice is an already-made lego flower arrangement in a clear box for display. yes, jino made it already and yes, the box was necessary.

When it comes to giving gifts, Hyunsoo fancies himself something of a professional in the art. It is one of the love languages he understands the appreciation toward ( particularly when he isn't able to give the person in question words of affirmation or a simple hug ). He does not pride himself on his generosity. Rather, he enjoys seeing the sparkle in someone's eye when they receive a neatly wrapped box, understanding that the feeling is something so good and positive.

Hyunsoo looks into what would be the best gift for Kim Dongsun with diligence and detail. He observes some of his habits, his personality, what he may wear often that any can see a pattern if they watch long enough. He concludes that his manager is an active man who is constantly on the go, and in need of a gift that would offer him comfort among the hectic schedules and whatever else he may have going on in his daily life.

As usual, he spares no expense, paying little attention to any price tags or what his manager's preferred limit may be. He wants to express his appreciation in an accurate way. ( Even if it could end up being overwhelming for some when they inevitably discover the price tag. ) And with the man's birthday also coming soon, Hyunsoo didn't mind putting in the extra effort to make him feel appreciated for both special holidays.

First and foremost, he decides to buy him a sweater. A fair isle pattern in a fern green, the material a soft and reliable wool, it is a piece he can wear while the weather is still cold and keep with him for a long time.

Next, he purchases a gift box with a variety of goodies inside for relaxation and self-care when his manager finally gets some downtime. Complete with a pair of wool and cashmere socks, a candle, products to keep skin from drying, and creme brulee and earl grey chocolate bars. In it, he includes a handwritten card expressing his gratitude for the hard work the man has done for him over the past nine months.

There are good things and bad things about being an idol. One of the good things is the way that some fans, especially female fans, smile and praise Ichika, which makes it somewhat easy to leave her walls down. It’s nice to be referred to respectfully, but even more so as ‘unnie’, and it doesn’t bother her as much when they shyly ask to lean on her to make cute gestures. In fact, sometimes it surprises her how much she enjoys it. 

Male fans, however, are another beast, at least when it comes to her own. For the most part, they’re kind and respectful, treating her like a princess (or a queen, given their age or disposition), but still, to this day, she struggles to let them in close. This parasocial relationship has so many fine lines, and as much as she wants their loyalty (and their monetary support), there is a wall she maintains. After what happened before their move, when that stranger had followed her (thankfully? thinking she was just a normal girl), she can’t help but feel on edge, even when one of the fans who is chosen to take a photo with her is mindful enough to hover his and away from her shoulder while they smile brightly at the camera. 

The worst are the men she knows secretly hate her— or at least would hate her if they knew anything about her actual thoughts and feelings. They’re loyal and ready to support all her ventures, give up everything (even hygiene) in order to send gifts to the company; the ones who secretly (or very publicly) want a submissive waifu girlfriend and have landed their sights on her. When one of these men gets selected to take a photo with her, she has to hold her breath and smile; she winces when a staff member reminds the man not to stand so close to her, but she’s grateful. 

She knows Yewon and the other managers have their best interests and comforts in mind, but even as that last fan tries to steal a few more moments to tell her how much he loves and supports her, his breath is far from pleasant, and she can’t help but feel like her heart is going to beat through her chest. 

If she doesn’t leave soon, she’ll have a panic attack. 

Thankfully, the man is moved along, and she has enough in her to smile and wave at the onlookers before she’s guided back to her group, where she can calm herself down while being surrounded safely by the others.

LEO'S GIFT FOR HIS MANAGER

GIVE an APPRECIATION GIFT to the MUSE’S MANAGER

leo wasn't someone who was great with words. he was more of an open mouth insert foot type. so he figured, he'd rather be safe than sorry, he would buy his manager a nice gift. something that would really show that leo cared, that he listened to what his manager had to say.

so over the weeks prior he decided to pay extra attention to his manager. what he wore, asked about his interests, and what he needed in his day to day life. that was one thing anyone in his life could say, leo knew how to pick a gift. he would do his best to get something the other person truly desired.

on the sunday before valentines ( since he was already out getting yuxi's gift ), he went and looked for the perfect gift. leo looked through the necklaces, bracelets, rings. all of them looked out of place and didn't scream out his manager's personality. the more he walked then more he got annoyed. not outwardly annoyed but anxious about not finding the right gift. but soon he came across the watch collection.

he remembered him wearing a watch, but it was very old. looked as if he had purchased it decades before. maybe he would appreciate a brand new one? leo took a deep breath and scratched his head looking at all the different options. "why are there so many watches?" there were so many he had to take a moment and think what type of person his manager was. was he the type who wanted a rolex? or was he the type who wanted something more low key?

by the end of the shopping trip he decided on getting him a low-key version of a rolex. not one with a whole lot of diamonds or anything. but one that was pretty durable.

A GIFT OF APPRECIATION

Sujin had no clue what would be a suitable congratulatory gift for a woman who had just given birth.

After much struggling, he decided on some flowers for lack of creativity. The flowers he picked up from his mother's shop, because he had confidence in the quality of blooms there. For approximately half an hour, he crouched in the back, picking out the perfect lilies. Sujin chose some white lilies because they signified innocence, and what was more innocent than a newborn baby? He also added in some yellow lilies, because they meant gratitude, which would be appropriate for his branch director.

His gift should not stand out amongst the rest. While flowers were beautiful, they were also typical. Sujin mumbled a congratulations as he set down the gift. If anything, the most eye-catching part of his offering would be the vase the lilies came in. It was tall, white and sort of...ugly. See, Sujin felt like since he was getting the flowers for free from his mother's shop, he needed to do something else...so he made a vase.

Yep. He did it a couple of weeks ago and for some bizarre reason, decided to invite his younger sister to come along. It was a terrible decision, as the girl had little interest in sitting still and spent the entire time distracting him from what was usually a simple task. The finished product was slightly lopsided and weird looking but his sister insisted that it was good enough.

Maybe she just didn't want him to re-do it so they'd have enough time left of the pottery session for him to make her a couple of cups. Matcha green, she demanded. Can we paint butterflies on them too, please?

Afterwards, he took Seoyeon to her favorite ice cream place and listened to two hours of high school gossip.

Did his eyes glaze over at some point during the discussion on who the cutest boys were? Yes. Did he interrupt her? No. Sujin endured. That was his way of showing love.

SIDE EVENT 020 : PHOTO OP word count: 301

jaehwa couldn't recall the last time she visited everland but everything appeared familiar. the same old hill that offered a view of the alpaca enclosure, the operational gondola seats and the intimidating t-express, a roller coaster she still had yet to conquer. however, she decided to leave the memories for later where she will enjoy an hour of free time after the fan meeting.

jaehwa stood poised in her performance outfit as the first fan approached for the photo op. her gaze instantly softened at the sight of a child trailing along. "hi, sweetie, you're so adorable!" she cooed, gracefully lowering herself to match the little girl's height. the 'jasmine' banner in her hands instinctively revealed the child as one of her fans. the frequent appearance of this banner today suggested that her fansite had likely distributed them before the event started. "shall we capture this moment with a photo?" shifting her position to stand beside the girl, she posed with her and the camera flashed.

after bidding farewell to the little one, she turned to welcome the next fan, only to gasp in surprise as a huge sunflower bouquet accompanied him. "is this for me? thank you so much!" the idol exclaimed, receiving the bouquet with a beaming grin. the two then posed for a photo before the staff took the sunflowers away from her so she could prepare for the next fan.

the event concluded shortly and jaehwa waved to the crowd as she exited the stage. the fan meeting had been enjoyable, offering a rare opportunity for her to take photos with fans without security barriers. she joined the rest of the members, eagerly awaiting the manager's debrief before they could disperse throughout the park. her heart thumped with excitement, ready to revisit her childhood memories once again.
