Honestly at this point some in the Robron fandom are so embittered they can't find positives in one of the best weeks of soap ever broadcast I just feel embarrassed for them. This is what looking at the world through a teeny tiny lense and existing in an echo chamber looks like and I'm cringing with second hand embarasment.

I'm also loving the "so we were right about John being a psycho" pivot like they weren't dismising anyone who dared to suggest it when it was sign posted so clearly on Nates exit, because Emmerdale are just "shit at writing" Instead of having the good grace to hold hands up and say "fair enough we under estimated them" it's pretend they always saw it coming and Emmerdale are lazy for doing the obvious.

Aaron walks across the village and bumps into Cain, Aaron is still wearing overalls so he's obviously still working at the garage as he speaks to his uncle.

Aaron shares with Cain the earlier encounter he had with Anthony and Ruby, he asks if he knows what is going on between them, Aaron's disturbed by the fact Anthony grabbed Ruby's arm but Cain only responds by telling Aaron it's none of his business or his!

As Aaron & Cain conclude their brief conversation, Leyla approaches & is concerned about Anthony's welfare, with his head injury which she thought was a drunken fall & tells them now he's missing. Laurel who inflicted the injury unknown to the rest freaks out. While Cain decides to call Caleb guessing he's intercepted Anthony and is taking revenge in some form or other.

Aaron is aware he's being lied to and isn't happy about it, also we can see John's van parked up behind Leyla.

Hopefully Jacob/Sarah isn't going to be plot driven shit like Jacob/Victoria were. I don't want jealous Victoria as we'll have again interfering Leyla (whose death - apparently she dies - is the reason why I think Sarah/Jacob is plot driven).

Also. Hopefully they aren't planning killing Sarah off any time soon.

Ok so I know ED are predictable AF but I honestly don't think Leyla will die in the crash/ice plunge... it's just TOO obvious... I think another character will die, and considering there was a flash forward of Cain standing by a grave and crying, that would put my money on Matty/Liam/Tracey (I'd like to think he'd be pretty upset if the mother of his granddaughter died). I also don't think that Caleb will die, as again, it's just too obvious after that flashforward scene we saw on NYE of him flatlining. They wouldn't outright spoil a death of such a big character, (Maybe I'm being too generous with ED here...) equally it won't be Mack as he's vanished into thin air since NYE and we haven't seen his flashforward scene yet, plus I doubt Cain would be crying at his graveside.

We've seen Leyla really struggling with loneliness, feeling isolated form her friends, family and workmates and maybe, just maybe, it's enough to have her relapse. Add in the guilt that she will feel (if she survives) that the night that she planned ended in someone's death... I think we could be looking at an accidental OD.

It's a good job I'm not a gambling girl though because I expect it to be just as straightforward and as simple as ED can be. No shocks, no being blindsided by unexpected events, just like with the Bypass Crash... the only person who died was the one who we knew was leaving anyway...

I miss the days of genuinely looking forward to ED stunts and big episodes.

The bar heaved with people in costumes, drunk and letting loose. Gabe didn't know Briar could throw down like this, and he had to admit he was impressed. The place was popping, and everyone had put in so much effort with the outfits. He had chosen Jason from Friday the 13th to add horror to the night's festivities. Girls found slasher dudes hot, right? That's what Gabe argued when he received a few stares.

It had been a few hours already, and Gabe was already tipsy, texting Benny frantically to get his ass here. His mask lay discarded on the table as thumbs continued to tap his screen, pestering his best friend. He had agreed to some dumb trick-or-treat thing with a local mom and her kid. The thought of which made Gabe shiver. The idea of kids had always terrified him, yet his best friend was running around playing daddy. A far cry from the Benny of the Chicago days.

He felt someone hit his shoulder, and he turned to see a woman in a suit with what appeared to be an inflatable alien by her feet—the things you could only see on Halloween. "I think you dropped your buddy," Gabe teased, holding up the alien. His eyes finally took her in, and a smirk spread over his lips, dimples showing. "Women in black, huh? Sexy..." There was something undeniably attractive about a woman in a suit, the power. "Can I get you a drink?"

What I really loved about this week of Emmerdale is that while it started with a stunt, it then focused on the characters and how they reacted to the situation they found themselves in. It felt very real, I believed their fear, I believed their lives were in danger, there was genuine jeopardy. They kept the episodes focused on just two storylines and got the cuts between the two spot on. The tension was unbearable at times.

The fallout was even better, I cried for Leyla and Jacob and Eric and Amy and Matty and Kerry and Nate and Tracy. Just devastating. The scene with Jacob saying goodbye to Leyla was especially powerful to me.

my only moan is that Michelle Hardwick was the only one whose grief didn't feel real to me and therefor I didn't really feel the impact of Suzy death.

It's said that Leyla'll die. If so, will she find out who took April and that's the reason why she dies. The kidnapper (if April's kidnapped) will kill her before she'll have time to tell Marlon and the police the truth.

I don't think April's with Scott or Kelly (or even Carly). There isn't any reason why they wouldn't let Marlon or Bob know about April being with them. Even if April would've lied to them Marlon knows she's with them.
