What will you gain from a Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training?
It's intriguing how there's a current trend of categorizing people according to the decade they were born in, such as the 90s or the 20s. This trend sparks interesting debates as it reflects the clash of various mindsets, lifestyles, ways of playing, and, notably, approaches to learning.
A similar, and perhaps more significant, debate revolves around our education system. In a world where 21st-century children are immersed in a tech-driven existence, the methods of instruction, like chalk-and-blackboard teaching, seem outdated and conflicting. The rapid integration of technology into all aspects of our lives, including education, has created a noticeable disconnect between teaching approaches of the past and the needs of contemporary learners. This dynamic shift prompts discussions on the necessity for a comprehensive reformation in the way we educate, considering the evolving ways of thinking, living, playing, and learning in today's world.
Why is teacher training necessary?
Our educational system has transitioned significantly, evolving from debating the necessity of teacher training to acknowledging it as an absolute essentiality. Several critical factors drive this shift:

ask for infodump about Chernobyl as someone who has never even heard of it
INHALES
Chernobyl is considered to be the worst nuclear disaster in history, rated at a 7 on the International Nuclear Event Scale (INES), the only other disaster ranking at a 7 being in Fukushima back in 2011. The disaster occurred on April 26, 1986. The Chernobyl Nuclear Power plant was located in Ukraine, which was under the control of the Soviet Union at the time. It was only about 16 miles from the Belarus-Ukraine border, which was also under Soviet control. There were two main towns nearby, Chernobyl itself, which was older, had only about 15,000 residents, and was actually farther from the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant than Pripyat, which had about 50,000 residents, and was only about 2 miles from the plant. Pripyat was newer, and residents had an average age of about 26. The town itself was filled with young, well educated people starting new lives. A large number of public buildings were located in Pripyat, including a school and a sports complex, which contains the famous Azure Swimming Pool. The plant supplied Pripyat with energy, and the place was considered a sort of "dream city." The plant was an RBMK-1000 type reactor, a generation I nuclear reactor, which are the earliest, and generally most hazardous, nuclear reactors. RBMKs were used to produce Plutonium, a radioactive material primarily used in nuclear weapons. However, they could also be used to produce civilian energy, so a few were constructed to supply parts of the USSR with power. At the time of the incident, there were four reactors in operation, with reactors 5 and 6 under construction. A test was scheduled to be conducted to see if the backup generators could successfully turn on in time to keep the cooling systems running at safe levels. However, the test was delayed until the less experienced night shift was in. They turned off the reactor's shutdown feature and lowered the power to the reactor. Reactors need energy to function, as they have to be cooled. For these reactors, large amounts of water were used to cool them. Without the shutdown function, the reactor was in danger of overheating if it wasn't cooled. Regardless, they ran the test. When the backup generators took too long to turn on, panic set in, and the reactor began to overheat. Then, somehow hit the AZ-5 button, which lowers all control rods into the reactor at once. Control rods are used to absorb excess amounts of shed neutrons from the nuclear reactions. However, they momentarily increase reactions when first introduced into the reactor chambers. The undertrained staff of the night shift were not aware of this. With the increased reactivity, the reactor was now dangerously hot, and the casinging around the fuel rods began to rupture, causing white-hot radioactive fuel to come into direct contact with steam. At 1:23 A.M., April 26, 1986, Chernobyl Nuclear Reactor #4 exploded. The contact between the fuel and the steam caused a steam explosion, blowing the 1000 tonne reactor roof into the air and spewing radioactive debris and particles into the air.
Two plant workers were killed instantly by either the force of the blast or from being hit by debris. Although plant workers realized what had happened rather quickly, superiors were slow to act. Firefighters were called in, but they were not told the dangers of the radiation. Most died within a few months. But that was only the tip of the iceberg. In Pripyat, the Amusement Park that had been scheduled to open the next day was hurriedly opened a day early to distract residents from the fact that the reactor was on fire.
It took 36 hours for Soviet Officials to finally begin to evacuate Pripyat, only after residents had begun to report nausea, dizziness, fatigue, vomiting, and headaches, all symptoms of radiation poisoning. A few weeks earlier, citizens were trained with gas masks in case there ever was an incident. Officials said that they didn’t need them, as they didn’t want to cause a panic.
Residents were also told they would be returning soon, and to leave everything behind. They did not come back. This left Pripyat as an eerie ghost down where everything seemed to have simply been dropped and left. Today, it is still abandoned, and is being slowly reclaimed by nature.
During the cleanup of the incident, “Liquidators” were called in. Some knew the dangers, others didn’t. The fire of the reactor was too hot to be put out by water, so tons and tons or boron, sand, and lead were dumped onto the burning reactor by helicopters that flew over. It didn’t help much, and the reactor finally stopped burning after about 2-3 weeks. A structure dubbed “The sarcophagus” was built over the reactor to contain the radiation, though it was rushed and leaked radiation. A large area of woodlands was contaminated by the radiation, and it turned red and died, earning the nickname “The Red Forest.” Most of these trees were cleared and buried. Highly contaminated houses were knocked down, animals were shot, and crops destroyed. Absolutely everything that was highly contaminated was at least attempted to be destroyed and buried. Still, not everything could be destroyed and buried, there was simply too much. One object, dubbed “The Claw of Death” was, according to conflicting accounts, either used to assist in the overall cleanup or was used specifically in the cleanup of the plant roof. It is radioactive enough to give a lethal dose if sat in for about 11 hours.
Another rather infamous object is “The Elephant’s Foot” which is a mass of sand, concrete, and melted reactor fuel that had melted its way through the floor and down into the basement. Upon discovery, the sheer amount of radiation it gave off was enough to give you a fatal dose within about 90 seconds. Today, that’s increased to about five minutes. The foot was unyielding to sampling tools, so, they shot it with a Kalashnikov Rifle (AK-47) to get a sample.
After a very short period of time, the remaining three reactors were up and running again, as the USSR simply needed power desperately. By December of 1987, all three reactors were up and running again. They were operated for years, until the last reactor was finally shut down for good in 2000. Being so close to the border, and with the wind conditions of the time, mass amount of radioactive particles were blown north to Belarus. The Soviet Union had planes fly over and seed the clouds with chemicals, forcing them to rain on rural land instead of heavily populated areas, but this still had a major effect, as about 1/3 of Belarusian farmland was contaminated. However, the winds began to shift, blowing radiation towards Europe. Sweden was the first to sound the alarm, asking if something had happened after detecting dangerous amounts of airborne radiation and determining it was not from any of their own reactors. The USSR finally admitted there had been a “very small” incident at Chernobyl, and was very reluctant to give the world information. Careful monitoring protocols were put on resources everywhere in Europe, from grain to milk to wood, all were carefully measured for radiation. Years later, after the Sarcophagus was determined to be unsafe, the New Safe Confinement unit was constructed, which is a semicircular dome over the existing Sarcophagus. The New Safe Confinement was finished in 2018.

Hello! I'm back! You know Minthara's dialogue about her ex-girlfriend, that House Vandree priestess? I have some questions, and I was hoping for your speculation. Thanks!
Why was Minthara ordered to kill her?
How did she poison her? I thought all drow are trained to NOT get poisoned.
Did a lot of people know about it?
What was their relationship like? It sounded... unusually healthy for drow. Until the murder part, of course.
And any other info you might have. Have a lovely day!
Hello and welcome back! 😊I have several theories about that Vandree priestess and about what their relationship might be like, so I will start from question number 4:
🕷️First Lover - Minthara mentions that high priestess of House Vandree, "beautiful, elegant, ruthless", was her first lover.
We know next to nothing about her, but she was obviously several (at least four, possibly even more) decades older than Minthara. She had apparently not only finished her training, but also obtained the title of high priestess - it usually takes some time for a female drow to reach this level.
As for Minthara, she was probably in her twenties back then, either preparing to enroll into the Academy or starting her education there.
🕷️Power Dynamics - House Vandree was only a minor noble house and could not compare to Baenre.
Still, Minthara's lover was older and more experienced than her, and she was also a high priestess - so it is a bit hard to say who had the upper hand in this relationship and to what degree.
Also, a wild thought - maybe Minthara's lover was one of her instructors at the Academy?
Minthara says: I had been sharing her bed, not "she had been sharing my bed" - it can imply that it was Minthara who was visiting her lover's bedroom, not the other way around. Sounds a bit strange for proud Baenre - but... in Arach-Tinilith, novices share rooms with one or two others for the first several years - so inviting a lover is not really an option. Older priestesses and instructors, though, have single rooms...
Minthara apparently admired her lover and even "adored her." There might be even some affection involved from her part: I stayed with her while the poison did its work, and whispered words of comfort as she slipped away.
Was that admiration / affection / fondness (sincerely) reciprocated? Perhaps - or perhaps not...
🕷️ How many people knew? - it really depends. If Minthara's lover was also her instructor from the Academy, I suppose that they might at least try to be discreet. In other case, I doubt that they would have that many reasons to keep their liaison a secret.
🕷️ Why Was Minthara Ordered To Killed Her?
1) Maybe the priestess attracted Minthara's attention for a reason - to achieve something, to obtain information, to get closer to House Baenre, perhaps? In sourcebook, it is mentioned that House Vandree was not very successful and was seeking protection of House Baenre, but Matron Mother of House Baenre was not eager to offer them any.
Maybe Minthara was ordered to kill the priestess to send the message - "Vandree, remember that we are not that close".
2) Maybe Minthara's family - likely her mother - decided that young Minthara starts to like her lover a bit too much, and it is time to remind her how things work among drow.
Youthful adoration is one thing, but blooming affection? Any Lolth-worshipping drow mother would start to worry about her daughter's reputation at this point. And about her lover's possible ulterior motives.
3) Maybe it was simply a test, of sorts, to see how young Minthara handles assassination orders, as well as separating her personal life from her duties. And House Vandree was in no position to retaliate, considering their situation, which was a nice bonus.
🕷️ Drow Poisoned? - drow may gain resistance to some poisonous substances, especially to the more popular ones, but not to every single one of them. Some poisons are very rare or simply very expensive, and / or they are not widely used.
Also, some poison recipes are probably being kept a secret. I imagine that inventing a new poison recipe now and then is one of the most important duties of drow alchemists working for noble drow houses. Poisons designed for specific individuals may be also a thing.

Custom career - Psychologist!
I edited LientebollemeiS2I's Psychologist career, changing nearly everything about it. What stayed are links to uni majors, the icon (which is also a uni major) and some inspiration for chance cards. IMO this career has a strong Maxis vibe, with "start from nothing" first levels, NPC references and silly chance cards.
Each level title has a number added to it, like in this mod.
The 4 skills required for this job are: Logic, Charisma, Cleaning and Creativity.
IMPORTANT EDIT: With LientebollemeiS2I's guidance, I also edited the GUID of the career and changed PTO (paid time off) back to default. Now you can use both our careers at the same time! The GUID is: 0xC6A05A9D. In case you need to check if you have something that uses the same one (it was generated, so might repeat).
DOWNLOAD (SFS)
List of levels with descriptions:
Psychology Books Enjoyer Lvl 1 You'll take any book that has anything to do with the topic of psychology and devour it instantly, hoping this knowledge will be useful some day.
Internet Mental Health Advisor Lvl 2 You dive into web forums to find the most interesting psychological cases and comment on them. Your aspirations are high, but you don't have the skills or degrees yet to become a real therapist. One can dream, though!
Social Bunny Lvl 3 You've actually made it to a real mental health institution, and not as a patient, but as an assistant… sort of. Don't forget to be the fluffiest bunny out there because what you're doing here is really helping other Sims. And all you ever wanted was to help others, right?
Therapist in Training Lvl 4 It's been hard, but you've made it to an actual psychology path. Just stay strong and you'll definitely open your own private practice office one day.
Social Worker Lvl 5 Whether it's leaving children home alone for too long, starving them or not dressing them appropriately to the weather… you'll be there to collect them and find more responsible families for them. It's a tough job, but it's something you have to get through in your training.
Private Counselor Lvl 6 You've finally made it! You're officially a therapist and working in your private office. Now, your mission is to care for your clients in the best way that you can. So don't stop educating yourself!
Psychology Researcher Lvl 7 Your passion for psychology is never-ending. You've decided to take it to the next level and do important research to contribute to the science. Good job!
Personality Specialist Lvl 8 During your research, you've grown very interested in the depths of Sims' personality. What can change it? To what extent is it genetic? What's that thing about werewolves?
Clinical Psychologist Lvl 9 Regular therapy practice and deep research were not quite enough for you. Now it's time to make real diagnoses, assist psychiatrists in their work, and make the world a better place. Keep on learning and you might become the ultimate Therapist.
Therapist NPC Lvl 10 It's time to deal with the real Wretched Outcasts and Doddering Deadbeats. In order to do it, you needed to learn teleportation, hypnosis and partial invisibility. If someone is in crisis, you're the Sim they'll always turn to.

Welcome to Cyber Reach Online Charter School, we're looking for new teachers who want to work from home while shaping the minds of the youth. You'll start off in training, to classroom monitor, and go from assisting a teacher to Certified Cyber Teacher.
Modder Notes - Hi Simmers, this mod is a medium size mod (computer interactions only) for those who love staying at home while making having a laid-back career that allows you to tend to daily life (parenthood, cleaning, gardening or just being inside your cozy bubble and left alone). Answering parent emails are my favorite (level 4) because you get the cutest responds. I will be expanding the mod and all of the features I wanted I'm still learning to do, but you can expect an amazing update in the future.
There Are Four Career Levels
Level 1 - Cyber Teacher In Training
Level 2 - Cyber Class Monitor
Level 3 - Cyber Teacher Assistant
Level 4 - Certified Cyber Teacher
Raises Once you complete the branch you can still get money promotions that give a §10 simoleon raise. So you stay-at-home lovers can make big bucks doing it over time while increasing the bar.
[ Please Read ] This career is meant to be a work-at-home career, if you choose the option to go to work you will not get any of the computer interactions. UI Cheats & cheating levels seem to keep the computer actions the same. You can cheat the skills you need, but don't cheat the computer interactions or skip days with this mod it won't register. I've posted about this before but in the current climate, especially, a signal boost can only be a good thing.
There is an excellent organisation here in the UK that I have an ongoing donation to, Campaign Against Antisemitism.
From their website:
"HOW WE FIGHT ANTISEMITISM
Campaign Against Antisemitism consists of eight directorates which collaborate closely to expose and counter antisemitism through education and zero-tolerance enforcement of the law:
1. Investigations and Enforcement
We work closely with police forces around the country, the Crown Prosecution Service, regulatory bodies and the government to ensure that antisemitism is detected, investigated and punished with the full force of the law. We focus on criminal antisemitism and antisemitic acts committed by professionals or institutions which are subject to special regulation, such as lawyers, teachers, sportspeople and charities. We also provide training and advice to the authorities, whilst also scrutinising their performance and holding them to account when they fall short.
2. Awareness and Communication
Working closely with senior journalists and advertising professionals, we run proactive campaigns to ensure that the public is aware of anti-Jewish racism and the immense societal danger that it poses. Through our advocacy work we seek to mobilise public support for the fight against antisemitism, whilst also generating pressure on the authorities to pursue a policy of zero tolerance for antisemitism. We also provide information and comment to the media through our media centre.
3. Outreach and Education
We strive to reduce anti-Jewish prejudice by providing education and training to all in society who wish to find out more about being Jewish, antisemitism, and fighting racism. We also reach out to other minority communities and anti-racist groups so that we can work to strengthen each other.
4. Public Affairs
We have forged links with the government, local authorities, regulators, police forces and the Crown Prosecution Service, as well as with companies such as the major social networks. We meet at the highest levels to tackle the roots of antisemitism and ensure that the law is upheld effectively, consistently and firmly.
5. Mobilisation
Antisemitism is a societal problem and we believe that individuals should be at the forefront of the fight against antisemitism. We recruit, train and mobilise volunteers, empowering them to leverage their talent and expertise against antisemitism.
6. Litigation
We have recruited some of Britain’s most formidable and acclaimed legal minds. Our lawyers give their time to provide guidance on specific cases and also takes action to hold the authorities and private companies to account when they fail to act against antisemitism effectively. Our legal experts include specialists in criminal law, charity law, regulatory law, administrative law, employment law, media law and litigation.
7. Organisation and Finance
Our volunteers need central support in every area from systems administration to finance. Working with senior professionals, we ensure that our volunteers receive the support they need, and that our charity complies strictly with regulatory and financial requirements.
8. Fundraising
We are proud to operate with extremely low overheads, relying almost entirely on volunteers, however our work costs money, whether it is to pay court fees when we litigate, or to commission important research. We fundraise throughout the year to raise the sums needed to enable our work to continue."
They also have a podcast that recently aired its 100th episode, that I highly recommend. They talk about the current work they're doing, media bias, representation, and over 5 seasons have included interviews with Jewish public figures, Holocaust survivors, and more recently, survivors of Oct. 7 and family members of hostages:

One of the newer daycare teachers at my center was complaining about a specific child - who has a lot going on we’re still trying to map out, but definitely some type on developmentally divergent on top of attachment issues with their single mom.
Anyway, said kid, a little under 4 years old, was resisting doing art, which was really upsetting the one one teacher when the other (who’s worked with this kid for over 2 years) was basically like “Ok, not today, this isn’t a good day for you.”
One thing I do when I find kids at the center resisting my instructions is asking “Why” - on me.
Why am I asking this child to do something?
“What they are doing isn’t safe” and “What they are doing is harming another child” are obviously good reasons for me to pursue my point.
“Maintain structure” is, honestly, generally a good reason, where “structure” is the regular rules and expectations of the class and schedule.
Having a predictable structure helps most children feel safe, because they don’t have to be the adult and decide what is going to happen - their teachers are the ones that set boundaries for safety, have their physical needs met, and create expectations that allow them to develop patience and delayed gratification.
But forcing a child to participate in an activity? Not just “now it is art, because we do art every day” but “you must do art??”
Asking my “Why, what is the child getting out of this” devolves down after a few levels to:
The child has to learn to comply over their own mental health.
Even the more experienced teacher who let the one kid sit out and rest from art is irritated when children refuse to sit quietly during Circle Time, which pisses me off because all the trainings I’ve taken on Circle Time say “have a quiet activity optional for children who don’t want to sit and participate.”
Sadly, as I was discussing this with my other Autistic coworker at closing, we agreed that “Conformity despite mental health” is a primary rule in modern education, and both of us despite being aware of the obvious issues with this are powerless to even motivate major change within our own center without taking “Room Lead” roles.
Which we both agree would break either of us. 😓

High Value Woman Formula: The 4 Key Pillars
Are you passionate about leveling up, but find yourself daunted by the overwhelming list on how to become a high value woman?
Don’t fret, you’re probably not the only one! It may sound complicated at first glance, but when you truly understand what it’s about, the high value woman formula is… quite simple.
In this article, I will show you an easy and concise roadmap to becoming the woman of your own dreams.
Let’s get started.
Pillar #1: Body
Much like Maslow’s pyramid, in order to have a mind that is clear, a heart that is at peace, and a soul that is fulfilled, you need to first attend to your basic physical needs (and not only).
Getting enough hours of sleep
A healthy diet
Fitness & exercise
Haircare
Nails
Skin
Dental health
Make-up
Pillar #2: Mind
Next ingredient in the high value woman formula is polishing your mind.
Upgrading your looks and physical health is great, but if you don’t follow it up with a mindset glow up, you’ll find yourself repeating the same mistakes, and bumping into the same limiting beliefs and bad habits.
Planning goals and keeping track of them
Improving your mindset / develop a growth mindset
Confidence
Embrace failure
Reading extensively to broaden your mind and your education (includes financial education)
Courses, trainings and masterclasses
Listening to podcasts
Watching TedTalks or insightful documentaries (if you’re curious about my recs for TedTalks/documentaries, let me know in comments below)
Pillar #3: Heart
So you’ve leveled up your appearance, improved your mind, now what? Now it’s all about your heart and your emotions. Think about all the things that nurture your emotional dimension and makes you feel appreciated, seen and heard!
Building a support system (friends, family, therapy)
Therapy
Healing your attachment style
Journaling
Self Love
Setting boundaries
Being your authentic self
Speaking your truth
Embracing your journey
Feeling & processing your emotions
Pillar #4: Soul
Last but not least, I’m a spiritual woman, and these are my personal beliefs which some may or may not resonate with. If that’s the case and you’re happy with just the 3 first pillars, that’s perfectly valid and you can skip this section.
But I do believe you have to take care of your soul. You can have the looks, the money and your self-concept in line, but you might still feel empty, unfulfilled, like something is missing from your life… if you ignore the spiritual aspect.
For the girlies that need a deeper connection to the divine, to God, the universe, here are a few action steps.
Joining a community that resonates with you
Prayer
Yoga
Meditation
Various spiritual practices that align with your beliefs
Detoxing from social media, toxic people or environments
Conclusion
What do you think about this list, did you find it helpful? Are there any essentials you’d add to the list? Let me know in the comments below.
This is a topic I believe many women (and not only) would benefit from, and I’m passionate about helping my readers become their best selves.
So, I’m currently working on an in-depth guide that expands on this topic/article, complete with practical steps you can implement in your daily life, in order to become a High Value Woman.

the gaang, ranked in order of who got the best sex ed to the worst
1. katara. kanna taught her how to deliver a baby and also where babies come from and just generally gave her a thorough education. and if that wasn't enough, she then got trained as a healer. katara could teach sex ed, and she probably does.
2. suki. raised by a bunch of queer women on Bisexual Woman Island. she knows a Lot
3. aang. was taught the basics by the monks as a natural part of life, but monks don't have sex and he was 12 so he probably didn't get the full education
4. sokka. technically got the same level of education as katara but wasn't really paying attention bc he was still in his sexist phase. still knows WAY more than -
5. zuko. iroh tried to teach him but it was couched in metaphor and heteronormative so zuko barely understood it and wouldn't have found it useful even if he had. he knows some stuff from overhearing the sailors on his ship but that's not exactly an education. he knows to use a condom at the very most
6. toph. you KNOW the beifongs were like "our daughter is too delicate and fragile to learn about such things!" like zuko, toph probably overheard stuff (at earth rumble) but she's younger than him so she's had less time to learn. she's lucky she has katara and suki to be her older sisters. (i guess technically that means toph gets great sex ed but you know what i mean. before joining the gaang she had NOTHING)
#started thinking about this because of the uti poll#and i've had that headcanon about toph for a while#i hope katara and suki figure out toph doesn't know anything Before she starts her period#bc otherwise toph is going to have a Rough time#the gaang#nina's personal log
