#ive been playing on and off since 2019 but its only recently when i dumped destiny 2 (probably for good) and picked it up#to fill the grind-shaped hole in my heart#that i have uncovered just how FUCKING INCREDIBLE warframe is#everything about it makes me incredibly autistic#from its masterful utilization of an incredibly styled and individual soundtrack full of absolute bangers#to its seemingly unique understanding of how and why an MMO is special to and because of its players#and its truly special story- a uniquely human take on the “post-ruin scifi” tale#it knows exactly how and when to yank on your heart to make you weep like a baby#and it knows exactly when you're going to get angry and want vengeance#and it knows when to let you let loose and unleash hell#SPOILERS FOR THE NEW WAR AHEAD#IF YOU THINK YOU COULD PLAY THE GAME PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO#SPOILER WARNING#i think the narmer corruption of fortuna was genuinely one of the most gutpunchingly horrible moments ive ever experienced in a video game#i started playing when fortuna was already in the game but the story of fortuna and vox solaris was really what made warframe stand out 2 m#i would drop into the orb vallis as gauss and dash around doing bounties and fishing and mining because i really loved everything about#fortuna and wanted to spend as much time there as possible#for me vox solaris was my proudest achievement (in warframe.) to say “i helped that! i did that!” was an incredibly good feeling#the story really spoke to me on a deeper level#and vox solaris has always been my favorite faction as a result#so to do absolutely everything that i could#to lift together with my tenno brothers and sisters and yet STILL fail?#and to have it rubbed in my face by the corruption of the greatest shining pillar of hope in the warframe universe?#felt like i got kicked in the stomach#i felt sad and angry. but most of all i was DRIVEN.#which is GOOD. because RARELY does a video game present you the “you lost” scenario and have it feel not only satisfyingly painful#but MOTIVATING.#my only complaint with the new war is that i didnt get to hack ballas to pieces by myself#i had real flashbacks to running around helping people as gauss while approaching the final boss with erra#and to step onto the ballas arena as gauss prime. i nearly came from the narrative significance

Though honestly like the spectacle of Secret Wars 2015 is just the frosting of the whole thing. The main crux of it is the personal dynamic between Reed and Victor and you can't just. Try to substitute that by, I assume, putting RDJ in it and try to ape on his past relationships with the Avengers
Especially when Avengers had their whole Time Runs Out angle. Which you cannot do in the MCU either because the Illuminati don't exist and we already ran the gamut of 'Tony and Steve don't get along sometimes and argue' stories in every Avengers film ever
Also not having a 'normal' Avengers film in between Endgame and Doomsday is fucking stupid

So I was just sketching the gijinkas for my current White 2 party (still only them, I caught a Sewaddle but not sure if I want to use it. Still trying to figure out what I want for my party), and I just wanted to show them and also maybe get some help on them
Top one is Sneak (Purrloin), bottom is Pepperoni (Tepig). I’m trying to go with more silly sounding names since that’d be in keeping with how I’m characterizing my player character. I only thought of doing gijinkas later
So for Sneak, do I keep her having a hood or should I just give her a low cut shirt with no hood? I mean her hair symbolizes the cat ears well enough
And then for Pepperoni, do I go with 1 or 2? I like how 1 looks more, but I feel like the do-rag is a better translation of Tepig’s ears. Also I realize 2’s shirt doesn’t look the best, if I stick with that I’ll make it look better (also the square between the eyes is supposed to be a bandage)
Also you know what, might as well give you their general personalities. Sneak is a highly mischievous thief with no inclination to stop what she’s doing, and she loves to play pranks. Meanwhile Pepperoni is just a relatively normal chill dude who’s just trying to learn fire magic

So after going through some of my favorite Utaite playlists a while back, I came across a cover of this song by the Utaite RAY MORRIS and thought to myself, ‘you know, this song and the lyrics really fit this guy, I should mash them together :3′ and now you have this~
That said, seeing as this is the 3rd video I’ve made now, I tried to put a lot of work and effort into it compared to my last edits (to the point I spent almost 3 weeks on it, from editing to getting just the right pictures, etc.), and after FINALLY learning how to use the Tumblr video option, I’m pretty satisfied with how everything turned out, so I hope you enjoy :)

Step 1: Be able to click a thing and drag it around

#original#there was a template for how to do a click-and-drag thing but it was WRONG so i figured out how to do it better :)#specifically 1: it detected if you click within a certain radius of a point. works great for circles but bad for other shapes#so i got it to detect collision boxes instead which is somehow a non-trivial thing to do#in fact i still think i'm doing it wrong but no one online had a better method#i'm doing it by setting a variable to true whenever the mouse enters the box and setting it to false whenever it leaves the box#which is stupid. i should just be able to ask “is the mouse in the box Right Now” and get an answer#i'm SURE there must be a way to do that but no one wants to tell me >:(#not even the mouse specifically just a general “is This Point in the box?” that's not a hard thing to do is it?#that seems like the simplest thing in the world but apparently the only ways to do it are big and dumb#this should be so common so simple so easy how is this not just a method of CollisionObject?#whatever fuck you i'll just juggle my “overlapping” bool then#gonna make a “Mouseable” object and use it for everything#also i have a theoretical way to recognize sutures! i just need the ability to check if 2 lines overlap#which i thought might be simple but given how tonight has gone my hopes are now appropriately low#also i just realized i also need a way to turn mouse inputs into straight lines. no idea how to do that- WAIT MAYBE#i have a way to tell when the mouse changes direction significantly! that'll let me set the start and end points of each line!#that'll be a real nice strategy when i finally get to sutures#sutures will definitely be one of the more complicated things. start with click-and-drag forceps#and even with just forceps there's some things that have Rules to how you pull them out so that'll be a process#anyway 2nd thing wrong with the template: it set the position of the object equal to the position of the mouse#which means even if you grab the very edge it'll suddenly snap so that you're holding the center. not good
