I don’t know if you’ve answered this already or even take asks about the books- but what do you think about Squirrelflight possibly becoming leader in the recent arc?

As much as I’d love Squirrelstar to happen, I feel like she just needs a break at this point and the responsibility of becoming leader might be too much for our lovely girl. :(

tbh i dont really want Squirrel to be leader for a few reasons:

she's really old, like retirement age, the poor woman deserves to just vibe as an elder at this point.

also in relation to her being old,,, I feel like a younger cat should get to be leader!!! We have already had a 2nd arc mc leader for thunder, its time for a later arc mc to get the position!!!

if she becomes leader she will probably go thru even more hell and will probably also live super long, watch all her loved ones die and then end up like Mistystar :(((

I personally would love Ivystar, that would be epic, especially since i feel like the erins forgot about her >:(

If they arent going to do Ivystar (and they are not) then ig Squirrelstar is the best option since there are like no interesting Thunder characters anymore LOL, other than like Sparkpelt maybe??? but the Erins hate her so I doubt they would make her leader lol.

Anywayssss Im almost certain we are going to witness Squirrelstar suffering for 3+ arcs in the coming years afafdagdf

girl on the phone i have known for exactly 11 seconds: sometimes i wish it would just stop. it's relentless. and it's every week! how many mondays can someone go through?

me trying to do my job: ha ha i know right? so I'm calling--

girl on the phone i have known for exactly 16 seconds: i'm so tired. i'm soooooo tired. shelby kept me up all night again. she will not get over keegan. they keep calling each other just to yell i swear to god.

me: only 4 days till the weekend and some sleep! :D

girl: yeah. but she's sleeping with me. at my house. didn't he tell you? who is going to get the dog? or the fucking 300 dollar blender I got them?

me: unfortunately no! so i would love to know more but the reason i'm calling is to get you scheduled for x job interview are you still interested?

girl whispering: what?

me awkwardly: it's...i'm dylan. from x. the x job you applied for. we would like to interview you for it.

thinking about how zelda never got closure from her father. she was never given an apology for the agony she went through all those years, believing something was wrong with her simply because she couldn’t harness her power yet. pushing herself to the brink of exhaustion, passing out in freezing cold waters, just for her father to tell her she wasn’t trying hard enough. and then for her father to die to the calamity before she could see him again. no apology, no goodbye. just gone. i cant even imagine the conflicting feelings she would have.

don't mind me, i'll just be sat here crying into my hands about girl dad!simon "ghost" riley who would do absolutely anything for his daughters.

girl dad!simon who watches with a fond smile as his children fail to mask their giggles from underneath the sofa, their little legs sticking out very obviously from their "hiding place" but acting as though they're nowhere to be found.

girl dad!simon who lets them apply the black smudging around his eyes, praising them with how gentle they're being, and only huffing out a laugh when he feels his youngest smear charcoal fingerprints down his cheeks.

girl dad!simon who always has time to play with his girls, going along with whatever game their imaginative minds conjure with not a single complaint. over the years, you've walking in on simon as a horse, a robot, a fairy godmother (you will never get the imagine of simon with one of your elasticated waist dresses on out of your head, the material fighting for its life to stay in one piece as simon merely stares at you, silently pleading you to not take any photos), there is nothing he won't do to make them happy.

girl dad!simon who never once hesitates to scoop them into his arms at the first sign of tears, battled scared and inked hands holding his daughter so carefully, though she was made of porcelain, rough fingers gently swiping across ruddy cheeks, "you're okay, sweetpea, it's just a little scrape, yeah? my brave girl can handle a tiny scratch like that no problem, ain't that right?"

girl dad!simon who has a photo of you and your daughters tucked safely in his pocket at all times, all his favourite people on one small piece of paper he keeps safe over his heart whenever he has to leave, making sure it never leaves his mind that 'this is who he's fighting for, this is who he's working so hard to get back to'

girl dad!simon who try as he might, always tears up when he finally arrives back, and hears his little worlds sprinting at him as fast as their stubby legs can carry them, screeching cries of "daddy, daddy, daddy's home!" echoing through the walls of his home, arms wide as he crouches on the floor and feels their small but mighty weight crash into him, finally whole, finally complete, watery eyes meeting yours where you lean against the wall, similarly emotional.
