i've mentioned my headcanons on revalink's love languages before, but last night i was thinking about link who really likes giving revali kisses for any and every occasion because he just can't keep himself off of his bird bf 😄 kisses all over revali's beak, on his red cheek feathers (so he can pretend it's a lipstick mark or that revali is blushing), in between revali's eyes, or on his forehead. link often falls asleep wrapped around revali's body, his lips on revali's neck.

and revali will gripe and complain about how touchy-feely link is, but he secretly loves it. and he'll never, ever admit it out loud, but there's a part of him that wishes just for a moment that he was a hylian so he could return all of link's kisses. their biologies tragically aren't compatible for such intimacy, and even though link says it's okay, revali can't help but feel he's not providing enough for his mate. what sort of mate is he, to not be able to reciprocate the affection his mate always gives him?

so revali hopes, with every tight hug and every press of their foreheads, that link can feel every ounce of love that revali as for him. he hopes that in this lifetime, it can be enough.

They were meant to work on an assignment together, which was only a quarter of the reason why he sat so close to her. He had resolved himself to focus that morning — with Kouleia beside him, he was certain that that their alchemical experiment would succeed.

Only he began to think about his schedule, and how lunch would come the second class was over. His mind began to wander, but he reeled it back in a flash. Focus. Now wasn't the time to think about food.

His determination became steely once again, but even steel could corrode.

The color of the elixir they made reminded him of the limited-time soft drink at a local restaurant, and how he desperately craved to have another before they were no longer available. It was sweet and fizzy, making him feel light as air when he gulped it down. It would pair perfectly with a heavier meal and wouldn't leave him feeling sluggish afterward.

"Mmmgh, I'm thinking about eating." He doubled over, cheek pressing flat to the table in front of him. "I'm trying not to, but we didn't have a lot for breakfast today. My stomach feels so empty, and the stuff inside our cauldron is starting to look tasty."
