Hello! If request aren't closed yet, could I request Giyuu, Tengen, and Sanemi with an s/o who's the opposite of them in every way? From their breathing technique, to their weapon choice, and personality.

A/N: My first ever Demon Slayer piece, I hope this is good for my first one, Anon! This was also very fun, I can actually see these three falling for someone that was kinda opposite from them!

🌊 Giyuu is a very distant person, so, when you noticed how closed-off and lonely he seemed, you just had to approach him

🌊 When you guys first revealed your relationship to your fellow Hashira, they were surprised for sure, and if their faces weren't enough proof, Sanemi and Obanai's objections definitely told you

🌊 He has water breathing while you have flame breathing, and you got your fun-loving personality from your mentor and best friend Rengoku Kyojuro

🌊 Giyuu loves to listen to you ramble, hearing about your stories of slaying demons to hearing about how you got Genya, Sanemi's brother, to crack a smile on your last mission together

🌊 The Water Hashira adores to watch as you train with Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke, the flames enveloping the four of you as you laugh at their reactions

🌊 Your personalities may clash, but, you guys do work well together when it comes to your jobs, your many kunai getting coated in flames as his swords waters left a burning sensation on the demon you were fighting with

🌊 Shinobu loves teasing him about how you guys are different, but, he just looks over at you talking to Mitsuri and smiles on the inside, you may be polar opposites, but, he loves that about you

🔊 Uzui is very flamboyant and out there while you are far more reserved and down-to-earth

🔊 He first noticed you as Mitsuri dragged you to a meeting, as the newest Hashira you weren't very familiar with any of them, and they all could sense your nervousness

🔊 This guy definitely tried to woo you at first, giving you small actions of affection by patting you on the back or leaning his body weight on your head to make you stumble

🔊 Uzui teases you for ages until his wives meet you, he may want to marry you, but he always wants to know if his wives get along with you, it's a package deal

🔊 When they give him the thumbs up, you all spend time together, and they're whipped when they see you protect a bunch of children by releasing your breathing style, Breath of Water

🔊 Your new relationship baffles everyone, since his normal type, at least to outsiders, is one of the more flamboyant personality carrying people

🔊 But, he likes that you're more quiet, it makes him remember to slow things down and take a rest whenever needed

🔊 Uzui also loves to help you with your whip-sword, which you started learning about with Mitsuri, and watching you swing your waves around to cancel out his breaths makes him laugh

🍃 Sanemi is an aggressive person by nature, and you were a far kinder person, killing demons gently while he did so painfully and without a care in the world

🍃 When he first met you, Sanemi was definitely put off by how kind you were with the Kamaboko Squad, your job was to kill demons, and you were braiding the hair of a demon

🍃 You and him were on rocky ground at first, due to your clashing personalities, but, once you guys got used to one another, it was funny for the others to watch as you would pat his head when he finished training

🍃 Whenever you guys are on missions with each other, he devotes himself to protecting you

🍃 From sending blasts of wind to send the demon flying away from you as you protected a small group of children who lost their parents from said demon, to even kicking a demon away, he was ready to sacrifice himself to keep you safe

🍃 Sanemi isn't fond of public displays of affection, he has a reputation of being aggressive and hard to approach, and he'd prefer to keep that reputation strong until retirement

🍃 He loves watching you tease Obanai, just watching you be yourself while pissing someone off makes his day for some weird reason

🍃 He and Genya aren't very close, and watching as you try getting them closer despite his protests makes him chuckle on the inside

🍃 And whenever he hears about your progress in training his younger brother with your old sensei, Gyomei Himekima, who taught you Stone Breathing, he pretends to not be listening, despite others knowing he is

Sanemi Shinazugawa

If you're a Demon Slayer like him, expect to live in his estate. If you're a normal civilian, also expect to live in his estate. Even if you're a part of the Slayer Corps or not, he wants to make sure you're safe.

I hope you like bugs because he owns a Japanese Rhinoceros Beetle. He'll let you hold if it you like bugs, if not, he understands and will keep him in his cage.

You'll most likely meet Genya and get along with him well, Genya might be shy with you at first since you're a girl, but he'll want to talk to you since you've caught his older brother's eye (which really seems impossible).

All of the corps and even the Hashira were shocked when word spread that you and Sanemi were dating. The corps most feared Hashira and the sweet girl?! Some believe it's a fake relationship to steer girls brave enough to chase after Sanemi away. When Sanemi heard the rumors he tracked down who started them and gave them the beating of their lives.

All of the corps is scared of Sanemi more than demons. If you're placed on a mission with someone other than Sanemi, they're placing your life at utmost importance. It doesn't matter if they're bleeding out, letting the demon escape, or having a whole village burn down, there is nothing too big to sacrifice other than your own life when facing Sanemi's wrath.

Sanemi likes ohagi, please make some with him. Not only is it a cute bonding experience together, but it'll make him fall more in love with you.

You can't make him wear collared or buttoned-up shirts. It's a proven fact.

Despite popular belief, Sanemi is very kind with his partner. He does his best not to yell at you and if he does he'll immediately apologize for it. He doesn't care if he has to swallow up his pride, your relationship together is more important to him than a mere title. He doesn't want to be seen as his father.

Sanemi will always be gentle to you. He knows he has a scary appearance and while he's proud of his figure and scars, he doesn't want them to scare you, they're supposed to scare demons!

Sanemi would never say it, but he likes when you and Genya get along together. It makes him happy knowing two of his favorite people are enjoying each other's company like how he enjoys theirs.

Sanemi is a jealous man and he'll make it known to you and everyone around him immediately (especially if Giyuu is around). He's always picking a fight because he knows he can kick anyone's ass that he feels is getting a little too buddy-buddy with you.

If you pet his hair or gently trace his scars, he'll consider marrying you.

Muzan Kibutsuji

If you're a human, he'll have one of the Uppermoons supervising and protecting you if he's not around (it'll most likely be Kokushibo).

If you're a demon, he'll trust that you take care of yourself. He'll give you his blood every now and then so you can grow stronger as a demon (but not strong enough to defeat him in case you'd ever try to defy him. But you wouldn't do that, right?) He cannot have a weak demon as a partner, that'd be insulting to his image.

Muzan would regularly buy you expensive kimonos and jewelry and act as if it isn't a big deal. Not only is it to flaunt you around to demons and humans, but it's an indirect way of showing his wealth and power to others.

It's canon Muzan had six wives in the past (all who committed suicide because he was verbally abusive or he just killed them) but he wouldn't treat you like that. Those wives were a cover for his human disguise so he felt no attachment to them, however with you, he'd do just about anything you tell him to (as long as it doesn't ruin his image).

Muzan still has a hard time with emotions. If you're a demon, he'll simply just read your mind to figure out what's wrong. If you're a human, he'll straight up ask you what's wrong. Either way, he's finding out so you might as well just make it easy and tell him, don't even try to beat around the bush since he's an impatient man when it comes to unpredictable things.

When you're alone together in peace and you're reading and he's doing research to find a cure to the sun, there's always a slight smile on his face. He enjoys the tranquility of the moment.

Muzan doesn't like physical affection, in fact he hates it because it makes him feel all weak, but if you're having a bad day he'll rub the back of your hands or give you a few head pats and threaten you to never speak of this to anyone.

You wear red lipstick the same shade as his eyes, another indirect way of saying you belong to him, just don't kiss him with it in front of others because it's not transfer-proof.

If you're a human, he'll try to convince you to be a demon with him so you can be immortal forever. If you reject, he understands and wouldn't push on about it until probably a couple years later. If you accept, he'll have a small smile on his face (don't point it out or he'll make your transformation a little more painful than necessary).

He's thought of having a kid so there can be a heir for his bloodline, but he quickly crossed that idea out when realizing that kids not only are bothersome, but he's a demon so he'll live forever (he believes).

Yuri Briar

You have to really be quite the person to catch his eye!

If you're a normal civilian, Yuri probably grew feelings for you because you're a stranger that's suddenly appeared in his everyday life. Same coffee place. Same bus home. Same breakfast sandwich order. Same grocery store. Even the same apartment complex! At this point Yuri's convinced you're either an obsessed stalker or a spy so he'd be keeping a close eye on you, only to end up falling in love with your simplicity.

If you're an agent of the SSS, you often helped Yuri with his work since he tends to overwork himself. Yuri greatly appreciates your help since you're his superior and even though you have way more work than him, you still put in the time to help him with his less complicated work. He's always got your back when it comes to raids or shootouts, can't let his favorite superior getting hurt! You treat him for his good work by getting drinks after work. One day you got drinks together and Yuri realized that this is basically like a date. Ever since then his feelings just grew for you.

If you're a spy you and Yuri really have a complex dynamic, but one things for sure is that he falls the hardest. His always chasing you on the clock and off. Yuri doesn't exactly know when he caught feelings for you. Maybe it was when he first met you when you bumped into him wearing a disguise. Or maybe it was when he saw you later that day without your disguise and recognized your voice as you beat up him and his co-workers in a desperate attempt to escape from the SSS. It doesn't matter how you guys met, just remember he fell really hard.

Yuri always knows when there's something up with you. If your sad he'll comfort you with anything you need; a hot drink, blanket, comfort movie, a eight-foot-tall teddy bear, he has it all for you.

He likes buying you little trinkets such as necklaces or little keychains. He swoons whenever he sees that you're putting his gifts to use.

He loves your cooking! You can be a terrible or great cook; any food is better than Yor's.

Memorizes your schedule then perfectly plans a coincidental encounter between you two where you both can hang out.

If you ever get in a fight with someone, he'll always have your back (physical fight or verbal). Even if you're in the wrong, he'll never even think of retreating. He doesn't believe you can do anything wrong once you guys get into a relationship.

Will drop down on his knees and ask to marry you when he sees you and Yor laughing together.

Saiki Kusuo

You were a new student at PK Academy, so of course everyone got riled up to meet you. The girls wanted to know if you were smart or kind and the boys wanted to know if you're prettier than Teruhashi.

At first Kusuo tries to stay far away from you, but that never works for him as well all know. He has no choice but to accept you as Kaido and Nendo has already taken a liking to you (you were nice to Kaidou and Nendou considers everyone a buddy).

He's not as annoyed with your company as he is with the others and after a lot of thinking and rejecting his feelings, he finally comes to terms that the almighty Saiki Kusuo has fallen in love with a mere mortal.

Your relationship is extremely normal and low-maintenced that nobody would've known you guys were dating until they realized you were with him 24/7. It's to the point if somebody needed you, they'd go looking for pink hair in a crowd or go to Kusuo's house.

Three months into the relationship everyone in the friend group finally found out you were dating when Nendou asked if you're dating because you were always around each other. Teruhashi ended up heartbroken while all the guys were dumbfounded but supportive.

Kusuo isn't very romantic as his whole life he never had feelings for anyone and always thought love was bothersome. Now he thinks it's "meh" (that's the best you'll get from him).

If you're able to distract Teruhashi from him then he'll smile at you, maybe even thank you.

He wouldn't even realize how much he exactly liked you until Kusuke was in town and decided to poke fun at his brother for having a girlfriend, always third-wheeling you both and sneakily flirting with you (Kusuo almost slammed Kusuke's head into the wall for that).

If his headpiece controllers somehow get pulled out, broken, or lost, he'll steer clear from you. He doesn't want you to get hurt from his powers because he can't control them in that state.

You guys go on coffee jelly dates regularly.

His family loves you. His mom teaches you recipes and cried the first time you met her. His dad asked if Kusuo brainwashed you, but was very welcoming nonetheless (brainwashed or not). Kusuke, as said earlier, loves to use you to mock Kusuo and get a reaction out of him.

The relationship you two have is very comfortable and little pressure.

He doesn't like PDA but he'll hold your hand every once in a while if you're in a big crowd or long line (never in school though, he doesn't need that type of attention).

Saiki Kusuke

He is as obsessed as he is towards trying to win against Kusuo.

You're most likely dumber than him (not in a mean way), he just likes knowing the power imbalance you two have.

He's a moderate level of romantic, giving you flowers and chocolates every once in a while or for a special occasion, but he kicks it up a few notch when he's visiting his family so he can rub it into Kusuo's face that he got a girlfriend before Kusuo could.

He's an evil genius, you might be used as a test subject.

He'll really appreciate and love if you help out with his experiments or theories, even if he's just telling you what to do.

He asked you out by doing a survey.

"On the scale of 0-10, how much do you love me?"

"Uh, 9?"

"Close enough to 10. We're now in a romantic relationship, you cannot resist."

"Okay...?"

While his life goals and motives are questionable, he'll at least make sure that you're safe while committing his chaotic plans.

Sometimes you have to force-feed him sleeping pills so he can finally take a break from his work. Instead of being mad, he's so enamored that you would go so far as to drugging him to make him relax and care for his wellbeing. When he wakes up he'll take the day off and spend time with you.

He likes when you wear his scientist coat.

His parents also love you. His mom cried joy and hugged you when she saw you, and his dad thought that you were brainwashed from one of Kusuke's experiments (Kusuke thought of it when he first met you, but he didn't want your personality to change so he didn't go through with it). Kusuo doesn't care about you, even if Kusuke is mocking Kusuo about not having a girlfriend, all of Kusuo's anger is directed towards Kusuke.

He'll make you a mood necklace so he knows how you're feeling (a real one, not the 1-5 dollar ones you'd find in gift shops). Of course, he can just look at your body language and listen to your tone, but the mood necklace just makes things so easier (and he wanted to make you something sweet).

He has no shame holding your hand or kissing you in public. He'll treat you to expensive restaurants and clothes because he makes a lot of money with his job.

Toritsuka Reita

We all know he's a pervert. The first encounter you guys had he told you your guardian spirit as well as what color panties you wore thanks to the ghosts. After doing a quick check of your panties in the bathroom, you were very impressed instead of being grossed out like the other girls were.

You guys became friends pretty quick. Toritsuka has a very likable and funny personality when he's not being a pervert.

When you guys eventually started dating after Toritsuka's 100th confession, Saiki silently betted how long the relationship would last. It's lasted longer than 24 hours, so he lost.

Toritsuka is over the moon that you agreed on being his girlfriend. You can never be alone now, he's always with you.

He tried doing a small show for you by having the ghosts use his body but the ghosts got too carried away and wouldn't give his body back. After a scolding from you and Kusuo he didn't do it again.

Surprisingly, his perverted tendencies died down with other girls but increased with you. Your reputation in school is rivaling Teruhashi's because you saved every girl from Toritsuka's harassment.

He plans dates with you but he's really clumsy so they always fail somehow.

You thought he insulted you once but he was talking to his guardian spirit, Nendou's dad.

If you help him with his chores at his family's temple, he'll get down on his knees and do anything you want.

He convinces you to join his club, the Occult Club, solely in hopes that you'll cling onto him whenever you get scared (sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't).

Sometimes he gets jealous when you're hanging out with Saiki or Kaido (Kaido took Yumehara from him). You'll have to hit him to quiet his pouting since he's being very hypocritical at the moment.

He may be a pervert, but you love him and his energetic side.

He's golden retriever energy. If you have black cat energy he'll be head over heels for you because of your chill and laid-back personality. He'll still be obsessed with you if you also have golden-retriever energy because you go along with his stupid plans and pranks and actually entertain his dumb questions a real thought-out answer.

Support him and his band. It may be terrible at first, but practice makes perfect.

Kazuichi Soda

Another man who is also obsessed with you. You have to be amazing to break his infatuation from Sonia and instead have it directed it towards you.

If you're an ultimate in the killing game, he's going to be around you 24/7 to make sure you're okay and not dead.

Insists on sleeping in the same cabin so you don't get murdered in your sleep.

He finds flowers on the island and brings them to you with heart eyes.

When someone tries to place blame on you as the killer Kazuichi will defend you tooth and nail, blood and sweat to prove that you're not the blackened. He's surprisingly backed up by mountains of evidence to prove that you were with him the whole time and that you're both not the blackened.

Will defend you against Hiyoko's relentless teasing (bullying).

He'll shield your eyes if you both discover a dead body.

If you knew him before the killing game, he's full-on obsessed about you. He knows all of your hobbies, likes and dislikes, all of it.

He tries to learn more about your ultimate (if you have one) with you.

If you're a normal high school student with no ultimate, he'll probably grow to loving you because of your interest in machines. You often asks him questions to the point he brings you to his shop and teaches you himself how to fix an engine or identify a problem. It's great bonding time.

You'll never have to pay for a mechanic again.

His smile is precious. Please compliment him.

He'll be shopping and end up buying at least ten things because they reminded him of you and he wants to gift them to you.

One of the most loyal men out there. He doesn't know other women exist on the world once he met you.

He loves it when you take off his beanie and wear it, or even better, pet his hair.

Playful love bites are exchanged between the two of you in private.

Help him braid that one piece in his hair. He's in paradise being so close to you while you brush and braid his hair.

He's definitely the guy to buy matching shirts or pajamas.

Fuyuhiko has almost punched Kazuichi multiple times by hearing Kazuichi obsess over you as his brain melts. Whenever Fuyuhiko hears your name now he panics a little inside because he's afraid Kazuichi is around and will start another obsessive rant.

Dazai Osamu

You definitely get frustrated with him a lot. Especially when he tries to kill himself.

If you don't like his suicidal tendencies, he'll tone it down a tiny bit when he's around you.

Dazai's an interesting character because of his obsession with death since he believes it'll help him discover the concept human nature. Once you understand this, distract him with ideas and hobbies that make life worth living.

Read some books to him. Dazai might complain about it at first, but at night he'll listen to the stories and fall asleep dreaming about them instead of death.

In private, he's a little more quiet and worn down. The events at the agency tuckers him out so at night he'll peacefully lay down with you and tell you about his day. Please pet his hair and tell him how much he means to you. He really needs to hear it.

Cook him breakfast, bring him some nice breakfast in bed. Dazai would be so touched at this because you care enough to make sure he's fed that you woke up early to cook for him.

If you're an agent in the agency, he'll always be watching your back. He might be playful and make a bunch of jokes, but he's very serious about you being injured in battle. He knows you can fend for yourself, but he'd rather himself be in bandages than you.

Dazai realized he fell for you when you both were taking a train to a town for your next case. It was dusk outside and you were starting to fall asleep on the window. He swore nothing looked more beautiful than orange on you as your reflection showed two of you, both nodding off to sleep.

Dazai is always excited when he sees you. Injured or not, he'll raise his hands and run to you for a hug, engulfs you in his chest as he goes on about how much he missed you and how mean Kunikida was to him.

He likes PDA. He'll always been seen either holding your hand, waist, or having an arm slung around your shoulder.

When you both have time off he'll take you around town for some window-shopping. It's just nice to be out of the house with you.

If you're out to eat, you should go to a seafood restaurant. He loves crab. He'll order alcohol but you have to put a limit to it so he doesn't try to give himself alcohol poisoning.

Sometimes he has nightmares about Oda, be there to comfort him.

He knows it's hard to date him. You being able to put up with him just makes him fall even more in love with you. He'll never let you go.

"Til death do us part" is no such thing with him. Even after, you both will always be together.

Nagisa Shiota

Reframe from calling him pretty. He very much is pretty, but it brings up bad memories with him and his mom.

He'll very much enjoy it if you gently brush his hair. When he cuts his long hair after graduating from high school, he'll still allow you to brush his hair.

Help him with his notes on Korosensei. It's a fun little hobby of his so he enjoys sharing it with you (and it helps prevent the extinction of the end of the world, or at least that's what class 3-E is under the impression of).

Speaking of class 3-E, however you ended up in the End Class, Nagisa will help you improve on whatever it was that got you there in the first place whether it be grades, delinquent activity, or just sleeping too much in class.

If you dislike English, he'll help you with it since it's his favorite subject. If you're good at science, he'd really appreciate your help because it's his least favorite subject.

Every weekend you and Nagisa meet up and have a coffee date, talking about each other and how to kill Korosensei.

You both train with each other. Nagisa helps you with hand-to-hand combat and you help him with his marksmanship.

After graduation, you and Nagisa end up moving in together. You're very supportive of his decision to become a teacher for delinquents.

He's not very big on PDA, but he will occasionally hold your hand or hug you.

Whatever your dreams are, he's really supportive and helps you to succeeding.

You both like to people-watch and put genuine thoughts in their lives. It's a fun little thing to do and it's very entertaining.

You'll stand up to Karma's and Rio's relentless teasing about Nagisa's androgynous looks, he really appreciates it and thanks you for coming to his defense.

Your door is ways open if he needs to get away from his house and mom. You guys spend a lot of nights sleeping together in the same bed and talking about life.

Karma Akabane

You need to keep him on a leash the way he's always disappearing and starting trouble.

If you're shorter than him, he loves to tease you about your height. If you're taller than him, he'll grab your shirt and pull you down to his height and make a teasing comment.

He likes superhero movies and will watch them with you. You'll have movie marathons on his couch as he explains to you some backstory about the characters, their powers, and etc.

He'll try to have you ditch class with him. Sometimes he succeeds, sometimes he doesn't.

Because he gets into fights often, he has quite a few enemies, so he'll always have a watchful eye on you in case they try to target you.

He invites you to his house often. You guys hang there a lot because his parents are wealthy and traveling a lot.

He might make stupid decisions like getting himself into fights for fun, but he's smart academically and he'll help you study (with a cost, of course).

When you train with Karma, he'll point out your weak spots. He's ruthless when you're training but he just wants you to be prepared in case you're in a sticky situation and have to end up fighting.

He'll convince you to help him do pranks on Korosensei.

Canonly, his most prized possession (other than you) is a collection of spices from around the world. By having this, there's a good chance he's a good cook and will cook food for the both of you (maybe even lunch if he doesn't feel like buying it from the school).

Since he works as a bureaucrat as an adult, his schedule is tough and crowded. On his days off he'll make sure to spend every second of it with you.

Compliment his eyes, it'll get him flustered.

If you retort with your own teasing comment when he decides to mess with you, he'll be slightly impressed and bark back, resulting in a little friendly competition between the two of you.

Sometimes he won't pay attention in class (or ditch entirely) so give him your notes. He'll act like he doesn't need it but he's more grateful than you think.

Hello everyone! Thanks so much for all of the 300+ votes I got on that poll, that’s like crazy 😦 rengoku and sanemi tied so we’re just gonna write for both! Rengoku’s will be in a separate post because imma be shitfaced when I’m done with this.

What started off as a regular ranked mission turned into a hashira rank as upper moon 3, Akaza, arrived.

A fight started with you all having a major advantage and not giving him a chance to adjust to the constant barade of attacks.

"4 against 1, that's hardly fair. Let's even the playing field, shall we?" Akaza said as he created some distance between all of you. His eyes wondered over each one of you like a predator deciding which to eat first.

His gaze landed on you and before you could react he plunged 2 fingers into you head, allowing his blood to flow into you.

Inosuke acted first, running towards you both swords swinging at Akaza. Tanjiro was next pulling you away from the upper moon as your veins started to show from your skin.

Tanjiro got you a good distance away and laid you on your back, Zenitsu was bouncing all around you in worry. Your eyes we're rolling to the back of your head.

"I- I'm so- rry- I was too.... Too weak" You sobbed as you chocked on your own blood.

Your vision became clouded.

In that moment you lost all control.

Your nails dug into tanjiro's arm as your speech turned inaudible, you tried to pull him toward you in an attempt to bite him.

Zenitsu wrapped his arms around your middle and ripped you away from him.

"CONTROL YOURSELF Y/N" he screeched, tears free falling from his eyes.

Your limbs struck him wildly.

Tanjiro tried to hold your arms.

Inosuke distracted himself with the Akaza. He didn't want what happened to rengoku to happen to you.

"You can fight it y/n, I know you can. Your one of the strongest people I know. PLEASE."

They struggled for hours to get you to calm down.

Akaza left.

Inosuke was ready to beat you into submission if you didn't control yourself.

One punch did the tick and something inside you snapped and everything became clear.

However your body couldn't keep up and so you fell unconscious.

Once he saved you he decided to take you to a nearby Healing Place for demon slayers [Forgot what they're called lmao]

But he'd have you stay with him in the same room, the doctors bringing Genya some child close and toys

Once he and you are all healed, he tried to take you back to the village he thought you were from

But once he got there, and asked around, he figured out that you didn't live there

Or you didn't have any family that lived there

So deciding to take you to the orphanage, Genya began to make his way toward it

He wasn't able to get you off of his leg

Resulting in him just taking you back to the compound, specifically the Butterfly Estate so he could get some help

And on the way back, he had noticed you clinging to him and trying to copy his movements

It warmed his heart so much-

Pinching the bridge of his nose, he muttered something under his breath. Reaching down, he grabbed the back of your shirt and tried to pry you off of his leg.

It got quiet as you said that, Genya tensing up. Looking up at him cautiously, you saw a bright blush on his face as steam came out of his ears—his eyes swirled as he slumped sideways.

Now when Genya has free time, he always hangs out with you

Taking you shopping, to get food, teaching you how to swim, etc.

It doesn't matter where you go or what you two do, he just loves hanging out with you

However, you won't go anywhere with Mr. Fluff, the duck you got when he first saved you

It goes everywhere with you and it is absolutely adorable

It has tea parties with you, where Genya is also attending [where you do his makeup and hair]

Jumping up from the couch, Genya rushed towards your room—gun in hand. Had something happen to you? Why did you yell? Fear was in your voice when you yelled-What happened?

Bursting into your room, finger on tricker he yelled. "What happened?! Are you ok?!"

The room was quiet, the only thing heard was your sniffles.

"Mr. Fluff the Duck got paint on him" You whimpered.

au where (most of) the kamaboko squad is significantly aged down and giyuu is the one to find them all.

giyuu on a mission stumbling across a boy, aged fourteen, taking out all his anger on demons with no uniform in sight, leading him to remember the anger that sabito held in his heart towards demons.

giyuu goes on a winter mission to find a family slaughtered with the two eldest, aged five and six, huddled together in a closet forcing him to remember what tsutako did for him.

giyuu heading through some mountains on his way to a mission only to be attacked by a feral six year old child, who he painfully realises was left all alone in the world, like when tsutako died for him.

giyuu investigating a town for demons only to find a group kicking around a six year old child for fun, forcing flashbacks of when the townsfolk didn't believe that a demon killed tsutako.

giyuu limping back to the butterfly mansion when he spots a girl, no older than five, being tugged around on a rope like some sort of animal, and gets the instinct that sabito would've stepped in.

so then, he has five kindergarden aged children who call him 'chichi' and a traumatized teenager who is morally inclined towards kindness and is trying to heal by helping to raise the kids.

ensue giyuu struggling with what all the kids personally need, from tanjiro wanting to be the eldest even if he isn't, to nezuko also trying to prove she's useful only making things harder, to inosuke showing off how he's the best by making things worse, to zenitsu and kanao's flinching and abusive pasts making genya himself struggle with remembering his own younger siblings and a still-fresh trauma of calling his brother a murderer.

they would all just bring back memories giyuu repressed as well. he would just be reminded of himself or people he knew basically all the time.

but imagine the hashira's reaction. kagaya's reaction. urokodaki's reaction. the uppermoon's reactions. muzan's reaction to priceless beings held in the palm of a hashira's hand.

a child who knows the sun breathing technique. a girl who knows the exact location of the blue spider lily. a teenager who could eat demons and gain their traits. and as the others grew, starting from water breathing but eventually branching to their own, suited breathing- muzan would know he's in trouble, especially as his kizuki get baked.

shinobu poking fun at giyuu: ne ne, why wont you hang out with us?

giyuu, an exhausted single father of six who works a night job and barely even sleeps during the day due to his kids: just kill me already.

but then when they actually ask, he would say he'd have to watch his kids and explain that he has six- holy fuck how does that loser have six whole children with a woman -children they dont yet realise all were adopted, so they go over with giyuu to the water estate to see if it's true.

so, we've got genya. the reason he's only been aged down a couple years is sanemi. que their absolutely shellshocked reunion. giyuu didn't get the chance to send a crow beforehand that they were arriving, and sanemi had absolutely no idea that his brother had become one of his work rival's children.

but, they can't really tell anybody, with the other hashira being overwhelmed by the five kids. giyuu knew bits and pieces but genya begged not to tell sanemi yet so he complied until that visit.

they both just awkwardly stare at each other the whole time the other hashira are there and everyone notices but just doesn't say anything out of politeness.

then giyuu asks how the kids like his coworkers. they all go around saying how much they liked the hashira then it gets to tanjiro. you can tell he's sort of upset from his facial expression, and dead set on sanemi.

genya and giyuu are horrified as tanjiro says he dislikes them because genya smells nervous and terrified. he then runs off, and the other kids immediately agree with tanjiro before following, so everything just spirals.

genya just dashes after them and tries to make them apologize, but it's just awkward silence all around for the hashira as they just sorta look at each other. it is very tense as giyuu leads them out, and genya finally rallies the children into apologizing. anyone could tell how much they were lying through that entire thing.

then genya also apologizes and bows really deep, and none of them really know how to react until sanemi steps forward to pat genya's head, saying it's not his fault and that kids will be kids. a reference to when genya called sanemi a murderer.

canonically, sanemi immediately forgave genya for that all after it happened, and he only acted hostile after genya joined the corps. so they could have a good sibling relationship build when genya's not a part of the corps.

the hashira then depart, and genya bursts into tears. the children rush to comfort him as they're all overwhelmed with how much relief is steaming off of genya at that moment.

giyuu looks back towards the hashira, where sanemi is looking back. giyuu waves, and from the shadows given by sunset, he can see sanemi did the same.

...and the end, this is all i can think about for a scene. might write this out sometime but feel free to see it. it spiralled once i started.

Tickle Fight

Summary: Muichiro and Tanjiro stumble upon a very chaotic Hashira tickle fight and are subsequently dragged into the shenanigans

A/N: Day 15 of Tickletober! Enjoy this really chaotic piece of writing!

It was a beautiful sunny day. For the first time in months, Muichiro and Tanjiro were free and had no real reason to go out and kill demons. Genya, Inosuke and Zenitsu were sent on a joint mission and Nezuko was sleeping to regain her strength. It left them alone to do whatever they wanted.

They trained together all morning and decided to go back to the Butterfly Mansion to cool off and get something to eat. They laughed as they walked back down the trail before shouting was heard.

"Huh, is there a fight happening at the Butterfly Mansion?" Muichiro asked, looking in the general direction of the commotion.

Tanjiro sniffed the air. "No, there's no scent of anger or the wish to inflict harm. I think I do smell the other Hashira though. Come on, let's go check it out and see what is going on."

Picking up the pace, the two started a light jog down the path until they entered through the back entrance. Aoi stood in front of them, shaking her head and deciding to turn around and walk away.

"Hey, Aoi." Tanjiro greeted, looking past her at the crowd of Hashira. "What is going on?"

Aoi glared at Muichiro. "Tell your Hashira friends to take their stupid fight elsewhere! The Butterfly Mansion is too classy for shenanigans like this!! Ugh! They're all so childish and are all adults too!"

As Aoi stormed off, the two carefully approached, Rengoku being the first Hashira their eyes fell upon. Deciding that he would be the best person to talk to about what was happening, Tanjiro and Muichiro reached up and pulled on the sleeves of his uniform.

"Rengoku san?" Tanjiro asked, smiling at his mentor who returned the smile back.

"Young Kamado! Lovely of you to join us! OOHH!! Young Tokito!" he exclaimed, pulling Muichiro into a hug. "There you are!! We were looking for you! You are just in time to witness the yearly Hashira tickle fight!"

The two boys looked at one another before looking up at the Flame Hashira. "The what now??" they asked, confusion plastered all over their faces.

"The yearly Hashira tickle fight!" Rengoku repeated, laughing as he lifted them up and showed them the scene about to transpire.

"There's no yearly tickle fight." Muichiro scoffed, rolling his eyes, his expression showing little to no sign of interest.

"Oh but it is a thing, young Tokito. You probably just forgot. Just watch, it’ll come back to you.”Rengoku said, placing the two boys down before shouting Tengen's name.

"Pfftttt! “It’ll come back it you” my ass! This is so stupid!" Muichiro complained, backing up with Tanjiro and finding a small tree they could climb and get a better view. "Look at these fools! They're all grown adults acting like children!"

"Shh!!" Tanjiro hushed, trying not to laugh. “Don’t let them hear you!!”

"Oh please, it's fine! They know they're childish, especially Uzui. He's the biggest man child I’ve ever met. Not to mention the guy is old!”

"Uzui san isn’t that old!! He’s only twenty three!!" Tanjiro laughed, playfully shoving Muichiro who giggled.

"He already knows that's what I think about him. It's fine. The only two here who aren't crazy are Tomioka san and Himejima san." Muichiro replied, laughing as Tanjiro shoved him playfully. "I'm not kidding!!"

Their attention shifted to the shenanigans about to go down. In the center of the circle, Obanai and Tengen were facing off, circling around each other like animals ready to fight. Of course, Tengen looked as confident as ever, smiling and flexing his muscles, pointing at Tanjiro and Muichiro with a cocky grin. Obanai in return rolled his eyes at Tengen's cockiness but looked way less confident and more annoyed. Tanjiro had no idea how poor Obanai got roped into this but he assumed that Sanemi said something to him along the lines of him being too weak or a chicken which in turn forced him to face off against the taller man. Kaburamaru was wrapped around Obanai’s neck, hissing at Tengen who flinched.

“Get that snake outta here!! He might get squished!” Tengen gasped.

“His name isn’t “that snake”, Uzui! It’s Kaburamaru and he’ll be fine!” Obanai retorted, signaling to the Sound Hashira to bring it on. “He will help me!”

"C'MON IGURO! KICK THAT FLASHY BITCH'S ASS!" Sanemi shouted, pumping his fist in the air.

"YOU CAN DO THIS, OBI!" Mitsuri cheered, blowing a kiss to the Serpent Hashira who visibly blushed.

"I know you are short, Iguro! But kick Uzui in the balls and take him down!" Shinobu shouted, giving Tengen the middle finger as he glared at her. “It works every time!!”

The two suddenly launched themselves at one another, Obanai trying to go for a more tactical, battle like approach while Tengen just dodged and swept his left leg out, Obanai jumping over him but being knocked down as Tengen easily flipped the smaller man. Muichiro and Tanjiro let out a simultaneous gasp as poor Kaburamaru’s eyes went wide with fear, leaving Obanai to fend for himself and slithering away. Groaning as he hit the ground, Tengen quickly gained the upper hand, Obanai squawking loudly as fingers pressed into his sides.

Obanai didn’t have a loud laugh, but when he yelled, everyone could hear him. He was screeching and kicking, socking Tengen in the cheek but ultimately losing as the Sound Hashira easily tickled him into submission. Looking over at the bystanders, Obanai reached his arm out only for it to retract as Tengen tickled his armpits.

“GEHEHET HIM!!!” Obanai cried. “FREHEHEE FOR AHAHALL!! HEHELP ME!! I CAHAHAN’T TAKE HIM DOWN AHAHALONE!!”

“I’ll help!! MITSURI TO THE RESCUE!!” Mitsuri screeched, jumping onto Tengen’s back, her fingers going straight for his ribs. “Take this!! And this!! AND THIS!!”

“ACK!! GYAAHAHAHA KAHAHANROJI!!” Tengen cried, startled by the sudden attack.

“One half of the Rengoku-Tengen tickle team is down!! Help me!! We must AAAHHH!! HEAVY!! HELP!!! HE’S HEAVY!!” Mitsuri squealed, slapping Tengen’s bicep.

Tengen released Obanai with a laugh, rolling off of him but now focused his attention on his new attacker. Mitsuri held her own, wrapping her legs around the taller man as Tengen squeezed her thighs. Obanai growled upon seeing Tengen touching Mitsuri and jumped in, Tengen screaming as Obanai squeezed harshly up and down his sides.

“Leave Mitsuri alone!!” he snapped, laughing as Tengen squeezed his sides in return. “Only I can touch her legs!!”

“HAHAA!! SOHOHORRY!! IHIHI DIDN’T KNOW SHEHEHE WAS YOUR PROPEHEHEHERY!!” Tengen wheezed, Obanai growling at him and tickling him with more force.

Seeing this as a free for all, Sanemi and Shinobu joined in, launching themselves at Obanai.

“ATTAAAAACCCKKKK!!!”

Sanemi easily knocked Obanai down with a loud battle cry, Shinobu holding him down by sitting on his hands while Sanemi teased and taunted his friend, laughing as Obanai quickly and easily pushed Shinobu off of his hands. Rengoku had set his sights on Giyuu who was shaking his head from a distance away from the chaos, Gyomei taking Sanemi down and letting Obanai tickle him as revenge while Shinobu ran over to Mitsuri’s aid and tickled Tengen’s thighs.

Muichiro and Tanjiro laughed as Rengoku tried to grab Giyuu but the Water Hashira let out a forceful yet soft “no” and kicked the Flame Hashira in the shin. Rengoku jumped around on his left foot, the pain from the kick distracting him enough to let Giyuu book it over to the two teens, hiding behind them and shoving poor Muichiro off of the branch he was holding onto.

“AAHH!! HEYYY!!” Muichiro gasped, missing Tanjiro’s hand.

“Sorry, Muichiro!” Giyuu whispered, resting his arm on Tanjiro’s head, a rare grin on his face as Rengoku caught Muichiro, pressing him close to his chest. “Hello Tanjiro.”

“Hi Giyuu san.” Tanjiro replied, looking at Muichiro with worry on his face.

“Tomioka san!!” Muichiro gasped. “No!! Nonono! I am not a part of thi-IHIHIS!! REHEHENGOKU SAHAHAN!! STAHAHAP!!”

“Nah, I wanted Tomioka but you will have to do now.” Rengoku laughed, setting poor Muichiro down and squeezing his tummy, suddenly getting tackled as Sanemi and Tengen all teamed up to take him down.

Watching in shock, Tanjiro looked all around at the chaos, Muichiro lying on the grass, recovering from the shock only to burst into laughter as Gyomei walked over to Muichiro and sat next to him, tickling the Mist Hashira’s stomach. Mitsuri was behind them giving Obanai the raspberry of his life. He wasn’t upset but clearly having a good time since it was Mitsuri. On the other side, Tanjiro saw Shinobu approach, Giyuu suddenly growing nervous and dropping down from the tree, ready to run away.

“Tomioka…” she said, Giyuu glaring at her.

“I don’t want to participate.” he replied, yelping as Tanjiro gestured for Shinobu to have at it with poor Giyuu. “Tanjiro!!”

“Don’t use Tanjiro as a human shield you wimp! He can’t protect you!! Come and face us!!” Shinobu giggled, stumbling backwards as Giyuu pushed her forcefully and ran, Shinobu giving chase. “Are you that antisocial?”

“I JUST DON’T WANT TO PARTICIPATE!! WHOAAA!!”

Tanjiro burst into laughter as Giyuu suddenly tripped over Tengen’s outstretched leg and practically faceplanted onto Rengoku’s stomach. This caught Rengoku’s attention and he trapped Giyuu, wrapping his legs around Giyuu’s thighs and pulling his arms up. With the attention now on the poor Water Hashira who started screaming, everyone started to gang up on him, Muichiro seeing his opportunity to escape and get to Tanjiro for safety. Tanjiro climbed down the tree and chuckled. Tanjiro knew Muichiro was fine, having tickled him mercilessly countless times since becoming friends but the teen looked a bit frazzled.

“You okay, Muichiro?” Tanjiro asked, giggling. “You look like you saw a ghost.”

“I-I’m fine…” he sighed, shuddering. “I wasn’t expecting to be dragged into that! So uncalled for- oh no…Tanjiro!! Tanjiro!!!”

Confused, Tanjiro turned around to see Rengoku chuckling and smiling at him. Normally, this would make Tanjiro run and hug his mentor but that smile he had held mischief in it. Chuckling nervously, Tanjiro waved at Rengoku.

“Hey young Kamado, come get in on the action!” Rengoku invited, gesturing for him to join.

“Uh…n-no thank you!” Tanjiro declined politely, shaking his head with a shy smile. “I’m not a Hashira. I don’t wish to impose…”

“You’re not imposing, Tanjiro! Trust me!” Shinobu added, her sweet smile hiding sinister intent. “Also, you have Tokito kun hiding behind you. He’s a part of this.”

“Come here, Tokito kun! I didn’t get to tickle you yet!” Mitsuri giggled, Muichiro containing fear and anticipation in his turquoise blue eyes.

“Noooo!! I am not a part of this!” Muichiro squeaked, only hugging Tanjiro tighter. “Leave me alone you bullies!!!”

“Don’t you want to become a Hashira, Tanjiro Kamado?” Tengen added, smirking as Tanjiro nearly tripped over Muichiro’s foot. “You must at least get into one of these flashy fights with the God of Festivals!”

“I mean…sure, I guess but I’d rather not join…” Tanjiro stammered, backing up. “N-not until I am a Hashira at least…”

“Come on Tanjiro!! Let’s get outta here!!” Muichiro cried, pushing Tanjiro away from the others. “Let’s run!!”

“Don’t be a wimp, you two!” Sanemi barked, glaring at him. “The others may see that you have Hashira potential but Iguro and I still don’t see it!” Obanai nodded in agreement.

“Even more of a reason not to join…” Tanjiro said. “I mean, if you don’t think I belong with you guys, there’s no reason to join…right???”

“Tokito, aren’t you a Hashira too?” Obanai asked, Muichiro shaking his head frantically.

Looking to Gyomei and Giyuu, they stepped aside, deciding that they were done with the tickle fight but the others weren’t going to give up. Gyomei and Giyuu shrugged, signaling that Tanjiro and Muichiro were on their own.

Rengoku grabbed Muichiro as he tried to get away with Tanjiro and lifted him up, the teen gasping as he was hoisted up. Seeing that Rengoku lifted him up by his legs and he was facing away from the Flame Hashira, Muichiro remembered a trick Yuichiro used to do to their father whenever he’d grab him in a similar manner. With no warning, Muichiro slammed his butt into Rengoku’s face with all his might, seeing that as the only way to break free of his grasp since no amount of kicking or pushing would free him.

“PUT! ME! DOWN!!” Muichiro grunted, slamming his butt into Rengoku’s face with each word. “I! WILL! NOT! STOP! UNTIL! YOU! LET! ME! GO!!”

The shock of Muichiro fighting back in the way he was sent everyone into a fit of laughter, Rengoku yelping before finally dropping Muichiro. Tanjiro laughed as he ran over to Muichiro. Tengen quickly scooped Muichiro up, giving the boy’s stomach a squeeze, the loud shriek of Muichiro’s panicked laughter echoing.

“HEHEHELP!! TAHAHANJIRO!! HEHEHEADBUTT THIHIHIS MAHAHAN CHILD!!!” Muichiro screeched, slapping Tengen’s hands.

“Oh but Tokito, Tanjiro wouldn’t dare headbutt the flashiest Hashira around!!” Tengen boasted, sending Tanjiro a wink. “He knows he’s next that’s why.”

Tanjiro looked from Muichiro to Tengen and weighed his options. He surely wasn’t about to headbutt Tengen since he expects it but there was one more option. He slowly approached Tengen and looked at him, puffing his cheeks out with his angriest expression and kicked Tengen’s shin, causing the Sound Hashira to yell in pain. This sudden act sent the other Hashira into more fits of laughter but nothing compared to the laughter that erupted when Tanjiro stepped on Tengen’s toes for an extra distraction.

“OWWW!!! TANJIRO KAMADO!!” Tengen howled, hopping up and down.

“Quick! They’re distracted! Run!!” Tanjiro shouted, helping Muichiro to his feet.

Grabbing his hand, Muichiro pushed off with all his might, dragging a startled Tanjiro for a few yards before the sun breathing user caught his footing and began to pump his legs. A quick look behind them showed the Hashira giving chase.

“Hey!! Don’t run off, young Kamado!” Rengoku shouted. “Young Tokito, don’t help him! You’re supposed to be on our side!!”

“NOT TODAY!” Muichiro cried, running as fast as he could. “I AM NOT A HASHIRA TODAY!!!“

Tanjiro and Muichiro quickly ran away, Aoi noticing them and ushering them through the gate before closing it and going back to doing the laundry, acting as if she saw nothing. As the rest of the Hashira ran past her, the men knocked over the laundry basket, Aoi sighing with exasperation before bending down to pick it up. At least Mitsuri, Gyomei, Shinobu and Giyuu stopped to help her.

WHAT IF THE SHINAZUGAWA BROTHERS DIDN'T SPLIT APART?

Here's a thought: what if Sanemi didn't constantly try to push away Genya and “hate” him?

Personally I think the only way this would work out is if Genya never accused Sanemi of being a murderer, which means that he had to see his mother Shizu as a feral demon before Sanemi killed her.

Going with this, let's say that everything went as the manga said, up until the point their siblings were murdered. Say Genya immediately ran after Sanemi after he showed up shoving their mother away, followed them all the way to the road and see his mother attempt to eat Sanemi for his marechi blood.

Obviously he would be horrified, but in this scenario he would be able to fully realize that this was not his mother, especially not when she turned her attention to him and lunged.

Skipping the gory details, this will then play out as Sanemi and Genya being forced to kill their mother together, and therefore no argument or accusations.

Later on, I feel that when Sanemi joined the Corps, Genya would attempt to follow too but like canon Sanemi would try to discourage him, albeit less “I have no brother” harsh and more “I'm not losing anyone else, brat”.

To follow the actual storyline as close as possible, Genya would somehow manage to convince his brother to be able to fight alongside him and eventually become Sanemi’s tsugoku instead of training under Gyomei Himejima. In the original storyline, Genya is motivated to become a Slayer in order to become a Hashira and apologize, but in this theory he's probably motivated to not let his brother down or die.

How would they find out Genya can eat demons? Let's say they found out Genya couldn't do any Breathing Techniques, but Sanemi decided that nonetheless he can still be a great swordsman...or gunman. Battling a demon together on a mission, say that somehow Genya’s hands get pinned down, forcing him to attempt to catch the sword Sanemi threw at him with his mouth (weird, but roll with me now). Somehow at the same time, maybe a part of the demon gets chopped off by Aniki or its blood sprays into the air, landing in Genya’s mouth instead and he…you get the point.

Moving on to the juiciest part: how would the brothers’ close relationship now impact the storyline?

We first meet Genya in the Swordsmith Village Arc, getting new weapons made. He and Sanemi aren't at each others throats here, so it would make sense that Sanemi too would be there getting his swords reforged or working off his perpetual crankiness in the hot springs.

SO, when the battle with Hantengu and Gyokko begins, we have not one, not two, but THREE Hashiras in the village.

Clearly Sanemi would be able to whoop some vase otaku or crybaby demon's ass with his usual sass, swords and screaming, but the Shinazugawa duo combined? The Upper Moons would've lost before they've even known it.

And to conclude, there would be no mark manifesting on either Muichiro or Mitsuri!

You are Mitsuri's dear cousin 3 years younger, who entered Demon Corp a while after her cousin and became her Tsugoku <3

The first time you saw Genya, you can't deny that you found his appearance a bit threatening, but that you soon ended up being attracted to the boy

Trying to get closer to Shinazugawa and not being successful, you ended up asking your cousin for help, and that's how Mitsuri cupid appeared

After the fight with Upper Moons 4 and 5 in Blacksmith Village, you finally got a chance to talk to the boy in the Butterfly Mansion

And unlike all expectations, Genya ended up showing that behind her serious face she had a shy mess that enchanted you <3

You always liked to annoy and tease others as a form of "affection", and Shinazugawa was no different (to our boy's dismay)

Because he is shy around women, he always tried to avoid interaction with them, and that became something really difficult with you around and trying to get close all the time

But after a long time of trying, you finally managed to have a date with him! Where, of course, Mitsuri would help prepare everything <3

To be honest, the Hashira of Love will be very present in the preparation of meetings, outings and other things like that, as well as in the evolution of your relationship

Until this "plan" of the two of you reached the ears of the boy's stressed and threatening older brother, the Hashira of Wind, Sanemi

And he would try at the same time to ruin the plans you and your cousin were making, to keep Genya from noticing it

However, he stopped doing that when he noticed that the younger Shinazugawa genuinely liked you, starting to make small comments about it

With the Hashira of Wind and Hashira of Love trying to get you together (both with different plans and ways, of course) it didn't take long before the declaration and the beginning of the relationship

You two were congratulated by your friends and even some Hashiras, with Mitsuri exposing her joy and pride to the world, while Sanemi reacted more discreetly

But even after you became a couple, your "dynamic" didn't change much, with you continuing the teasing (which now contained surprise kisses and hugs) and your darling boyfriend embarrassed as if it was the first time he heard you say it <3

Rest assured, many, many, MANY encounters! At any chance you will go out together, eat something in a small restaurant, walk around the city, or even just pick flowers and cook

Training together, Genya greatly admires your skill and flexibility for being able to use breath like Love, just as you admire his strength and completely uncanny ability to become an Oni

When one of you goes on a mission, it's almost a tradition for you to exchange letters and go on a date when you return, sometimes bringing each other gifts

Speaking of gifts, I expect many, many gifts, Genya just can't come back from a mission without giving you a gift

He is protective, Shinazugawa went through a lot as a child and is very afraid of losing you as well as his brothers and mother

Sanemi still acts rude to him whenever Genya tries to apologize, so when that happens he seeks comfort with you

note: it's appropriate for every age, since mostly fluff, I slightly changed the plot.

When you first joined the demon slayer corps, Sanemi was kinda afraid of you. Not because of your looks, nor your weird shaped almond eyes. Eventually, you found out he was afraid of you because you were a demon. He was used on having a demon near him—Genya— but it wasn't the same with you. He quickly realized you were different. I mean, it was quite unusual for an actual demon to be a part of the hashira.

When you two started hanging out, you opened your heart to him. For example, as a demon you are in need of blood. In your point of view, drinking human blood is disturbing. That's basically the main reason you mostly prefer either to hold back and eat normal food, or to take some from animals. Although the second option makes you really sad and uncomfortable, you can't go without blood for a long period of time.

Surprisingly, he was the one to confess his feelings first. Rengoku and Tengen told him that in order to win your heart, he should prove his love. And that explains his weird behaviour lately... Taking you to walks, dining with you frequently. It all started to make sense. Recently, you have had a talk with Genya—in which he explained his and his brother's trauma— and you couldn't really believe it. Such young children, you thought to yourself. After all of that, you've decided to give Sanemi a chance.

It is how it is, you thought to yourself again, while accepting Sanemi's feelings and returning them back. He was so glad you accepted him, even though he didn't show it at all. You both started hanging out more.

It took him a while to get used to you calling him nicknames. He actually enjoyed it them even if he didn't show it at all. Especially when you called him 'my love'.

Once, you two went into a mission together. It was the best thing it have ever happened in your life after all those years. You enjoyed every minute of it and not because you actually managed to slay demons, but because he opened up to you. For the first time, he talked about his past, his relationship this Genya, everything. You were so glad he did.

~I like to think the first time he ever truly regressed and realized what was going on was after Natagumo mountain.

~It was the first mission he went in with the knowledge that he had friends he needed to save and the weight of not knowing how they were doing and if he would be strong enough to save them.

~Not to meantion how many memories of his actual childhood started to resurface.

~He probably woke up dazed and confused at the butterfly mansion with a couple memories blurring together; on top of his body shrinking, it ended up being the perfect combination for him to be small

~The clingiest little thing. He needs all the hugs and all the attention and to be reminded constantly that he’s doing good and that he’s loved

~Zenitsu believing that Tanjiro and others would rather look after him when he’s small.

~He’s a cry baby on a good day sure, but at least little he has an excuse of sorts to let out his emotions without getting yelled at or told he’s being annoying as much

~Probably best friends with Genya when the two are little together. They’re a handful for Tanjiro to handle but they love playing together so it makes it worth it for their caregiver

~Loves oversized clothes, especially when he can have sweater paws

~Separation anxiety. He needs to be with someone at all times. Most likely it’s Tanjiro and Nezuko although sometimes the pillars will watch over him

~He doesn’t mind Mitsuri, or Rengoku looking after him, probably his two favorite babysitters.

~Gyomei tends to scare him, and he won’t let the Sanemi near him at all small. (He’s holding a grudge for how he treats Genya little) Giyu can be a bit hard to get along with but he doesn’t particularly mind the water pillar looking after him

~Annoyed with Tengen and the man’s habit to baby talk anyone once he finds out they’re a little as his way to get them to regress when they are having a hard time. Might work on Tanjiro but it’s not going to work for him. Nope.

~Speaking of which more times than not the man sends his caregiver into little space which clearly isn’t fair. He wants Ro to be big and cuddle with him, not as a play mate >:1

~While normally Zenitsu realizes his friends/caregivers need breaks too, little him has yet to realize that which ends up putting pressure on Tanjiro

Tickletober Day 3: Cuddles

Summary: While cuddling together in bed, Tanjiro makes an unusual request, but Genya is more than happy to oblige.

Word Count: 1,677

Tanjiro had always been verbal about his needs. Ever since they started dating, he never hesitated to ask to hug or kiss or whatever else. Genya knew it was more for his sake than Tanjiro's, because as long as this had been going on for, it never failed to fluster him, turning him into a blushing mess, as he stuttered out a weak yes.

It was normal. It was expected. He knew this stuff never embarrassed Tanjiro, so he shouldn't have been so surprised at his most recent request, as unusual as it was.

They were cuddling, relaxing together in bed after a stressful day of missions. Genya laid against the bed, practically pinned by Tanjiro's weight, as he laid more on Genya than the bed, arms wrapped tightly around Genya's waist, who, after he stopped feeling like his heart was about to beat out of his chest, had settled for carding his fingers in Tanjiro's hair, toying with the silky strands.

It was in this moment of peace that Genya's heart once again sped up, a frown tugging on his lips, as Tanjiro asked, "Genya?"

"Mhm?"

"Can you tickle me?"

He paused, furrowed his eyebrows, stopping to mull over Tanjiro's words and be sure he had heard him right.

Tickling? That wasn't something Tanjiro had ever asked for before. Genya hadn't even known he was ticklish—it had never crossed his mind until now.

Still unsure, he coughed, clearing his throat, then croaked out a stupefied, "What?"

Tanjiro looked up at him, his piercing red eyes met Genya's, a stare always filled with so much affection it made Genya breathless every time. "Can you tickle me?" he repeated again, as if Genya had simply misheard him, which he still wasn't sure he hadn't, despite now hearing the strange request a second time.

He swallowed. Blinked. Nodded. "Okay," Genya answered with a half-shrug, or as close to it as he could get with Tanjiro lying on him. It didn't make sense why Tanjiro would want someone, let alone Genya, to tickle him, but he didn't see the harm in it.

There were even some pleasant memories from his own childhood that he could vaguely recall, remembering tickle fights with his brothers and sisters. Of course, Sanemi was always the winner.

He was drawn out of his thoughts when Tanjiro shifted, sitting up to lay himself next to Genya, making him frown at the loss of warmth. Hesitantly, Genya sat up too, shuffling so that he was kneeling on the bed, awkwardly hovering over Tanjiro.

That all too familiar blush once again spread over his face as he fiddled with his fingers, unable to meet Tanjiro's eyes anymore, stuttering, "Um… what—what do you want… uh, want me to do?"

Tanjiro tilted his head to the side, seeming almost as confused as Genya when he said, questionably, "Tickle me?"

Biting back a groan, Genya nodded his head, a flicker of annoyance mixing with his embarrassment. Yeah. He got that. It was pretty clear what Tanjiro wanted by now, for whatever reason. But he didn't know… there were so many things he didn't know.

Hissing out a sigh, he quelled his racing thoughts and settled on a simple question, "Where?"

Tanjiro's eyes widened, and suddenly, he appeared, for the first time, a little embarrassed, but his smile grew, looking at his partner in an oddly reassuring manner. "Anywhere is fine. I'm pretty ticklish everywhere."

Genya nodded again, taking a breath to prepare himself, before slowly reaching down to squeeze Tanjiro's sides.

His smile grew, a quiet giggle bursting forth that made Genya's heart swell, spurring him on. He continued gently tweaking his sides, gradually adding more force until he heard a steady stream of giggles and felt Tanjiro's legs lightly kicking beside him.

The scene was oddly endearing. His hands were balled into fists, clenching the bedsheets at his sides, allowing him to remain remarkably still in face of his ticklish assault. The giggles pouring out from him were soft and sweet, quiet, breathy puffs of air that Genya never wanted to stop hearing. Unless it was to kiss his even softer, always irresistible, lips that Genya couldn't stop staring at.

He wasn't brave enough to ask, but Tanjiro must have felt the same, because he shot his arms up, hooking them around Genya's to pull him forward.

Genya barely caught himself from falling in time, and then almost fell again when he registered their position, his arms going limp like jelly. His knees were on either side of Tanjiro's legs, his body hovering over Tanjiro's, practically straddling him, if not for his arms on either side of Tanjiro's head keeping him up.

Oh God. His face must've been as red as a tomato. He could barely think, barely register anything besides his proximity to Tanjiro, how warm his body was, how badly he wanted him, and how he couldn't tell if it was his or Tanjiro's heart beating so fast it was the only thing he could hear.

Until Tanjiro wrapped his arms around his neck, craning his head closer, so he could whisper in his ear, "Can I kiss you?"

Genya, who was quite sure he was on the verge of passing out, could only bob his head in a weak nod and lean into Tanjiro, melting into the kiss. He felt like a puddle.

By the time he pulled back, Genya was breathless and dizzy. It took a few moments for him to regain himself, before he sat up as much as he could with Tanjiro still clinging to him.

"Um, want me to… keep going?" he finally managed.

Eagerly nodding, Tanjiro beamed at him, humming in affirmation.

The position was slightly uncomfortable for Genya and infinitely nerve-wracking, but he could hardly complain when he was this close to Tanjiro, so he didn't waste any more time.

Clumsily, he wriggled his fingers against Tanjiro's stomach, making him squeak and laugh, a warm and loving noise that made heat bloom in Genya's chest. Tweaking his ribs brought back those breathy giggles Genya adored. Prodding at his armpits produced a surprisingly loud squeal, making Genya laugh as Tanjiro's grip tightened around him.

Throughout it, Genya couldn't help himself. With a sudden burst of confidence, he'd lean closer, stumbling over the question until Tanjiro could finally manage a yehehes in between his laughter, and they kissed. Again and again, so much that Genya thought he felt as giddy and breathless as Tanjiro did.

"Can… can I—"

"Yes," he gasped between breaths, as Genya had taken pity on him, giving him a short break.

He placed a chaste kiss to cheek, and after a moment, glided his fingers along Tanjiro's neck in light, barely grazing motions that were utterly unbearable.

Tanjiro made a noise resembling a whine, leaning his head against Genya's shoulder in an ineffective attempt to shield himself. When it proved futile, he leaned back, twisting and shimmying, before finally leaning back and taking it when he realized there was no escaping Genya's devious fingers.

"Cute," Genya mumbled unconsciously, blushing furiously when he realized he'd said it out loud.

His blush grew at Tanjiro's widening smile and the tilt of his head, wordlessly asking for another kiss that Genya readily supplied.

This time, he kept kissing him. Still skittering his hand across his neck, Genya trailed a line of kisses against his jaw, flustering both of them beyond belief. He didn't know why he was suddenly more confident, but he supposed it was spurred on by seeing Tanjiro like… this. All giggly and bubbly and even cuter than he thought, and it was all because of Genya.

It was special, getting to experience this with him. And he had to show his appreciation somehow.

Besides, there was something he remembered clearly from his childhood—Sanemi's killer move, the one that always guaranteed him a victory.

Tanjiro practically shrieked as Genya leaned down, blowing a raspberry right on his neck. His laughter shot up an octave, and he desperately squirmed underneath him, as Genya unleashed a second and third.

"Gehehenyaha!" he squealed, somehow clinging even tighter to him.

He took that as a signal Tanjiro had finally had enough and stopped, pulling back slightly. Tanjiro gasped for air, still laughing even after it ended.

Genya once again fidgeted with his hands, unsure of what to do now. He couldn't move away, because Tanjiro was still holding him, and he didn't know what was expected of him now, so he just stared at him, patiently waiting for some sort of instructions or something.

Finally, Tanjiro released him, and Genya shifted, flopping down beside him on the bed, suddenly aware of how hot his face was as he replayed the events of everything that had just happened in his head.

Turning towards him, Tanjiro pulled him into a hug and, with permission, planted a kiss on his forehead with a satisfied hum.

"Thank you."

"...For?"

He paused, seeming to consider his answer before shrugging. "I think it's fun. And I was tired; I wanted something to help me relax."

"You know," Tanjiro smiled, almost looking skittish once again.

"Why, uh, did you.. want me to… do—do that?"

"And that… helped?"

"Yeah, you did."

"So I…" Genya took a deep breath, fumbling over his words. "I, uh… did it… right?"

"I don't think there's a wrong way to do it, but I had fun. It was—" a sullen look flashed over his face, "—just like old times."

"Old times…?"

"With my family. Whenever they needed to be cheered up, or were being a little too annoying, I'd tickle them. And Nezuko would lead a charge against me whenever she thought I was working too hard," he said, laughing quietly.

"I think… my family did too. We used to have tickle fights. I… I always won, unless it was against Sanemi. I never beat him."

It was quiet for a moment of reflective, somber silence, before Genya yelped at a sudden poke to his side.

"You're ticklish?" Tanjiro asked, an eager glint in his eyes.
