The #antonybridgeartprizeno1 is now over! I have been overwhelmed by the entries. Over 100 entries from the UK and overseas, children all off school in lockdown countries and also schools that are open taking part, thank you. I don’t think Art should be judged so the winner I have chosen if of personal choice which I’ve explained below. Every entry has been a pleasure to view, 3 year olds draw with such beauty and going up through the years this blossoms into other passions and mark making. It has been great to see pupils doing collages and also doing A1 versions of the print out which must of been daunting at that size. I have attached a few other entries that came in, sorry if I missed yours off. I have chose the winning entry from the use of colours, the winner also did 2 versions in different lights which I love to do. Using such bright colours is certainly a challenge and she has worked with her materials beautifully. Well done. Delighted for such a talent to now be the owner of one of my pochade paintings. YOUNG ARTISTS AND YOUNG ART COLLECTORS THE ANTONY BRIDGE ART PRIZE NO.1 Today is the first day of the home schooling and I am reaching out to help everyone with hopefully a few hours of something to do with their children. Hoping to do a new competition a month until the children are back at school. The competition is open to all school ages, the winning young artist will win a 8x10” pochade painting of the hills to start their own art collection. See 2nd image. Please email me for the above printable pdf drawing ( antony@antonybridge.co.uk ) of the view I paint so often to get started. Get your little ones to be creative and create the view in their own colours and style, using pens, collage or paint, then email or upload to instagram/twitter or facebook with the hashtag #antonybridgeartprizeno1 I will then judge all on the 23rd April, one month from now and announce a winner. If pupils want to email me any painting/art related questions over this time I am taking out an hour a day for this in the evenings.
