If you would like to make food donations simply drop them off each Tuesday from 9am-Noon or Fridays from Noon-3pm at CD4RP 1781 Hwy 42N McDonough, Ga 30253.

If you would like to volunteer, report at 8:30am in comfortable clothing to help with setup packing the food bags and loading groceries into vehicles.

Blog 1 choosing a project

Hello all!! So I am an English major, finishing up my Masters. have had the experience of blogging on a weekly basis in one of my last semester courses. This time around It was somewhat more difficult to get started after taking a break; but once I got going my thoughts just started flowing out. As far as my project goes I am still thinking about it. In the past, I would volunteer my Sundays by going out and feeding the homeless with an organization. My two school aged children had recently asked me when we could go back out and do it again. Like many others, the pandemic has kept us indoors and away from other people. This semesters project will give me yet another reason to go out and help the less fortunate.

It's happening #thisSaturday! It's #TheRealGiveBackSale and all the #FLAKids are super excited about raising funds for those #lessfortunate in their communities this #ChildrensDay. At our Fundraiser/Planning meeting with the #kids and some of our #volunteers, the kids suggested different activities to be done on the day; what they feel they can make, or bring for sale on the 26th of May to raise funds. They are really bringing their A-Game, as some of our kids will be making and selling hand-made wrist bands, beaded bags, knitted bags and aprons, ankara bags, throw pillows, knitted table mats and mufflers, just to mention a few. A few will even be available to make hair, polish shoes, wash your cars and more. The Kids are also handling the catering and making doughnuts, chinchin, french fries, peppered meat and pomo, ice-cream, zobo drink too, which will all be available for sale. #Ramon will be on ground to do #facepainting for your kids and there will also be an exhibition of his paintings for sale. Mrs Obioma, one of our volunteers, will be teaching some of our #children how to make liquid soap and bleach, and these will also be available for sale on the day. There's so much more that's on offer. We have some used clothing and other items for sale, but we can do with more. We would also appreciate your cash contributions if you are not able to come. Ultimately, we'd love for you to come and meet these kids who have put this #event together, to cater to you and also raise funds for #thepoor. Proceeds from this #fundraiser will feed hundreds of #homeless people through the #GiveFoodStamps initiative. How should you help the disabled

First and foremost, you can learn more about them from trusted websites, or experts. This is to prevent developing misunderstandings, and to assist you in sympathising with them. Those with disabilities are more common than you may think, there is a possibility someone around you has one, its just that you have’nt noticed. Thus, they are very similiar to us, and we should not approach them like a foreign species, or be afraid of them.

Next up, taking part in activities related to the disabled will not only spread joy around, but expand your understanding about the world in general.
