Summary: A few months after the Season 6 finale of The Expanse, Naomi realizes she never properly thanked Clarissa for covering for her on the Azure Dragon. Clarissa realizes she’s never kissed another woman. The two of them decide to rectify this.

The quiet drip-drip-drip of the coffee machine filled the galley of the Rocinante. Peaches stood next to it and waited, impatiently fiddling with her hand terminal. The muffled thrum of the reactor fell in and out of sync of the coffee maker’s noises. The last drip was forced thru and a soft ping echoed in the empty room. She inhaled her first sip, then took the cup to a seat at the table. 

The quiet was broken by another woman entering the room. “Oh good, Clarissa, you’re here.” Naomi extracted an energy drink from the cabinet. “I’ve been meaning to talk to you.” 

Peaches braced for a critique, “what did I do wrong?”

“No, no, you didn’t do anything wrong.” Naomi smiled, then placed a hand on one of Peaches’. “I never got to thank you for covering for me on the Azure Dragon.”

“Oh,” Peaches breathed in relief, “It’s nothing, we take care of each other.” With her other hand, she took a swig of coffee before returning to Naomi’s gaze.
