Leon's Mentor and the Birth of the World's Most Famous Charizard

So most of the info I could find about Leon's early years focuses on his actual Gym Challenge (which was crazy, he swept through the whole circuit while taking down a criminal organization, but more on that later). There's virtually nothing about his life before that. Fair enough, man's got a right to privacy.

But the question I keep coming back to is how did Leon get his partner? He already had his then-Charmander when they began the Gym Challenge. Weirdly enough though, there was almost no info about how the two met. I'm no expert on regional dexes but Galar's infamously strict about foreign species, and the Charmander line isn't native to the region. So how did kid Leon get ahold of a Pokemon that's traditionally a starter in Kanto?

Ya boi did some deep digging (AKA I went to the 4th page in DucklettDucklettGo search results) and found this really old interview from just after Leon got his first badge where he mentions that he'd hatched his Charmander from an egg while training with Mustard. The same Mustard who was the longest reigning Champion of Galar before retiring to travel around the world!!!

I sent Mustard an email asking how he met Leon, and to my surprise, his son sent back a response the same day. Apparently Leon got lost on the way to school one day and SOMEHOW ended up on a Corviknight taxi to the Isle of Armor, where Mustard had just set up his dojo. If it were anyone other than Leon, I wouldn't believe that story.

Anyway, Leon helped Mustard find this baby Kubfu that had wandered off, and in return received an egg that the ex-Champion had picked up during his world tour. Mustard personally flew Leon back to his hometown in Postwick and the same night, the egg hatched into a bouncing baby Charmander.

That was a deep rabbit hole just to find out how Leon got his partner. Hopefully the rest of the biography project won't require so much research...

Leon becoming the king rambles

I haven't finished the entirety of everyone's stories (I just did the mainstory for all 12) but I've been thinking about Leon's final story where he ascends to the king status.

more info dumping theories below. Also I could be wrong like again I have not finished anyone's story completely pls correct me if im wrong

From what I've seen he becomes king of the heavens and is given a new set of stars (the king star).

It makes me wonder who's taking over as minister of wishes/ruler of leo. He did give MC the Leo constellation for her to become a god iirc. It's funny bcuz its almost like his name correlates to a lion and itd probably get confusing from there. Also MC has aquarius in one of her eyes so I wonder if it just went back to hue after this.

Would Vega or Karno become minister? Would it be MC? Would the departments even be a thing when he's king or would he fundamentally just change everything.

If leon becomes the new king/becomes omnipotent, wouldn't he just be forced to live like the king, always hidden away and alone because he literally sees and knows all. Only left a victim of watching things happen until ppl come up to you for more. Letting curiosity roam free as you have infinite power to do anything. A move of his hand and things are gone. Is he even himself at this point or does the curse of infinite knowledge and power catch up.

This also dives into Leon as a character. He's portrayed as lazy and uninterested (on mondays or smthn) at first. He's also shown as a hard worker and genuinely tries to be just and fair. Whenever a god is in trouble he always makes a stand towards Zyg and the King. Most of his character arc is Leon trying to understand that he can trust MC/other people and that they care for him as a person, not a mighty powerful being. Despite his attitude towards everything, Leon is just a character who has to learn to undo his past ways of thinking that were hurting him and the people around him (and he does healthily learn). Leon's behavior is also very cat-like.

Would he be able to keep all the progress he made in a position similar to where he was most hurt.

He also marries mc and has a kid in that route so ig there's that. From what I've seen he changes a few things to allow everything to go smoothly.

Also to note Star-crossed myth has generally happy endings and is on positive notes most of the time compared to other god media being nitty gritty. I may be reading too deep into this to cope with the bad ending of a new video game. For some reason I really love fics/concepts with the scm gods that are tragic like actual mythology/fairytales

I just consumed a bunch of different media that dealt with characters becoming omnipotent gods and it never ends well.

Most of the times characters who ascend to higher status are just left as watchers, in new forms, only watching what once was and what they once had. No one knows if the previous versions of themselves are still there, or just apart of something bigger now.

There was one fan excerpt where the chars of the show were just yelling at the sky/showing the sky items they bought. They did this hoping to show their old friend who had became an omnipotent god said items, and having no idea if they saw it or not. The ex-partner of the person who ascended also spent a majority of the show trying to speak to them again. Even if they weren't together it was the act of love that stayed.

In a new video game that just came out, theres a character who has a really traumatic backstory and has the option to stop their abuser and 'ascend' to a position like their captor. The entire arc of this specific character relies on them making their own choices for once and not being apart of someones plan, and you as the player have the option to watch them make their choice to ascend or try to change their mind. When this character ascends it literally cursed them into continuing their cycle of abuse and losing themselves in the process. Spent the entire game going through character development only for a ritual to just undo everything hahaha imissthemsomuch one thing ascending did was take away their sense of humor and ability to be nice.

tldr Leon probably pissed off Zyglavis somehow and Zyg gave leon the 'ultimate punishment' and took himself out of the competition. The punishment being the weight of the crown.

I wonder what Cazador's plans were about her,at first I was like he is going to ascend and kill her cause she was alive to make Leon obedient,but now Leon is dead so she is useless.

Abbacchio enjoys the simplicity of doing nothing and going nowhere. Honestly, some of his favorite activities that you do together take place in the courtesy of your own home. Don't get it twisted though, he still will take you out for the occasional meal and show you a good time!

B eauty - What do they admire about their s/o? What do they think is beautiful about them?

He admires your ability to stay calm. Other people he has known in the past would tend to annoy him with how high strung they were. He much rather prefers a partner that he can sit in comfortable silence with, and can just go with the flow of everything.

C omfort - How would they help their s/o when they feel down/have a panic attack etc.?

Abbacchio, to be fair, has had his own fair share of emotional baggage, so he knows what you're experiencing all too well. Thankfully, he also knows how to overcome the situation when these feelings grow to be too much. He'll whisper words and phrases of affirmation, assuring them that everything will be okay and that he will always be there for them.

D reams - How do they picture their future with their s/o?

His vision of the future is very uncertain, and in all fairness, he couldn't even believe that he'd made it this far in his life. His previous career as an officer and currently being in the mafia were certainly not considered "safe" jobs. He does want a future with you though, no matter how risky the job. He just won't think too far ahead.

E qual - Are they the dominant one in the relationship, or rather passive?

Abbacchio is very passive aggressive. He'll be very lenient when it comes to making decisions in the relationship but can obviously step it up if needed. Most of the decision making will be in the hands of his partner for sure.

F ight - Would they be easy to forgive their s/o? How are they fighting?

He bottles things up until they explode at the surface. He'll yell and most likely something will come out harsher than intended, this ends up with him being in a position where he has some serious explaining to do. Things will work out eventually, but things might be rough for a while.

G ratitude - How grateful are they in general? Are they aware of what their s/o is doing for them?

He loves you for showing him that living wasn't all that bad to begin with. Life hasn't been very kind to him and you know that. When he's having very low moments, you remind him of his team and you who both love him very much. You are one of the only reasons that he keeps on going.

H onesty - Do they have secrets they hide from their s/o? Or do they share everything?

Getting Abbacchio to open up and speak about the things that he's experienced in this lifetime will take a lot of coaxing and convincing. In time, he'll tell you when he's ready, but for a good while he'll be very selective with what he wants to share with you. Only when the time comes and he feels that you're worthy of knowing will he come clean. Be ready.

I nspiration - Did their s/o change them somehow, or the other way around? Like trying out new things or helped them overcome personal problems?

He has a hard time seeing the positives of a situation, and before he met you, he was truly unhappy with his life. It took him so many years to learn that seeing things from a different, more optimistic point of view really made a huge difference. He thanks you for opening him up to new experiences.

Abbacchio does not mess around when it comes to you getting attention from other people. He may appear passive at first, but he’s had an eye on the two of you this whole time, don’t worry. If things get out of hand, he’ll just drag you out of there so fast you won’t even have time to process what just happened.

K iss - Are they a good kisser? What was the first kiss like?

Abbacchio is a very rough kisser, to the point where you have to remind him not to leave marks on your lips. There's a time and a place for everything, but it takes some reminders to let him know that a simple showing of affection shouldn't result in your face being all but ripped off. Other than that, he's got quite the natural talent.

L ove Confession - How would they confess to their s/o?

The funny thing that sets Abbacchio apart from the others is that he won't outright tell you that he loves you. He very much so believes in the concept of tough love, and even though he can be unbearable at some points, it's very rarely that he verbally expresses that he loves you. It's rather expressed in the actions that he does.

M arriage - Do they want to get married? How do they propose? What would the marriage be like?

He's going to wait for ages until he pops the question, so long in fact that you had thought about proposing to him just to get it over with. He'll ask for the help of his team to put the wedding together since he doesn't have much to work with in terms of family. When it's all said and done, he'll totally have to fight the urge to break down into tears when he sees you walking down the aisle. You just look so beautiful!

N icknames - What do they call their s/o?

Abbaccchio really doesn't need nicknames, unless you ask him to call you something specific. If not, he's content with referring to you by your name. After all, it is the most sincere form of flattery as they say.😳

O n Cloud Nine - What are they like when they are in love? Is it obvious for others? How do they express their feelings?

Only a few people can tell that something is up with Abbacchio (mainly, Bruno and Fugo) and once they figure out what's going on with their teammate they can't help but smile. They'll leave teasing out of it because they know that the others might go too far, but whenever you enter a room they share a knowing glance as they watch him clam up on the spot.

He's not very fond of showing his affection in public, and sometimes this really gets on your nerves. There are times where he doesn't even feel comfortable holding hands with you, but you try to respect his wishes. You know that he's just a little awkward and shy when it comes to these things and that his actions in the outside world are completely different compared to when you share alone time.

Q uirk - Some random ability they have that’s beneficial in a relationship.

(I know this might be one you guys have heard of before but it can't leave my brain so-) Abbacchio can sing, and he can sing quite well. But he will never do so in front of people, and even in front of you. The only times that you can hear him is when he thinks that you have left for the store and sneaks into the bathroom. One time you had your ear pressed against the door so hard that it accidentally opened. He was holding a hairbrush like a microphone and was less than pleased that you had found him.

R omance - How romantic are they? What would they do to make their s/o happy? Cliché or rather creative?

It may not seem like it, but Abbacchio can be quite romantic. When the two of you are alone he might offer to give you a massage or might shower you in kisses of his own accord. Both of those might end up leading to something else, of course ;)

S upport - Are they helping their s/o achieve their goals? Do they believe in them?

He will always make sure to make sure that you have complete confidence in whatever you decide to pursue. If you succeed, then he will be the proudest man you've ever seen. Even if you experience some shortcomings he'll encourage you to keep trying and re-adjust your goals so they can be more attainable.

T hrill - Do they need to try out new things to spice out your relationship? Or do they prefer a certain routine?

Abbacchio doesn't really come across as the type of person that's spontaneous. While he doesn't like surprises, whenever he does have a nice gesture planned he wants to make sure that you're prepared for (possibly) one of the best days of your life. He hypes it up in subtle ways like "Pack your bags" and "Make sure to bring your swimsuit". 😉

U nderstanding - How well do they know their partner? Are they empathetic?

Don't let his emotional unavailability at times fool you, for he can understand your emotions quite well. He'll pay attention to details that could decipher your moods, like the slam of a door or heavy sighs as you shuffle your feet into the living room. Of course, he'll ask you how to make you feel better, but he secretly prides himself on his awareness when it comes to you.

V alue - How important is the relationship to them? What is it’s worth in comparison to other things in their life?

Abbacchio isn't the best at maintaining relationships with people, unless they're very special to him. You are easily one of the best things that's ever happened to him, and if you weren't in his life he'd be extra grumpy and then some. You are his rock, and he cherishes you every single day the two of you are together.

W ild Card - A random Fluff Headcanon.

When the two of you aren't busy, you insist on having a "couple's night" which consists of watching a movie together. He’s a bit of a “fun killer” when it comes to having a movie night, turning down almost every idea and suggestion that you have. You eventually decide on a basic horror movie, with Abbacchio grumbling through it the whole time. He does enjoy when you cling to him during the scary parts, though.

X OXO - Are they very affectionate? Do they love to kiss and cuddle?

Abbacchio can be affectionate when he wants to be (only when you’re ALONE). There are times when he doesn't want to be in the same room as you, and then others when he's clinging to you no matter how hard you try to escape. Catch him in a good mood and he'll even nuzzle his head into the crook of your neck.

Y earning - How will they cope when they’re missing their partner?

Whenever you've been away for a bit, Abbacchio will seemingly be unfazed by your lack of presence, almost to the point where it bothers you. Your man really doesn't show that many emotions, huh. When you walk through the door; however, he'll be there in the doorway ready to greet you and wrap you in a giant hug. You smile, knowing that he secretly missed you after all.

Z eal - Are they willing to go to great lengths for the relationship? If so, what kind of?

He's not the type of guy to give gifts or do anything extravagant outside of special occasions. If you're having a bad day he will bring you dinner and listen to you vent. If you're the one, he's willing to go the extra mile in maintaining the relationship and wanting to keep you as happy as possible.

STMPD Anti-Recommends Bubblegum Crisis Fanfiction: Grab Bag!

That's right, I'm throwing my sanity to the window and reviewing a host of harmlessly bad BGC fanfics from Usenet, FF.Net, and elsewhere. These are fanfictions which are just stupid or boring or irredeemable, they aren't bad in an interesting or bile-rising way. But they exist, and so I will now poke fun at them.

And yes, this came about because I couldn't bear to read more of Bert Van Bilet's Bubblegum Zone, one of the most famous BGC fanfics out there, but terrible in my eyes. The problem with having to review things you remember as being bad is that you have to go back and double-check, you know? Anyway, links under the cut.

Silicon Valley 2033: A gloriously stupid fanfic that can't seem to decide if it's a comedy or not. Takes place in San Fran, where the Sabers have all gathered coincidentally for various reasons.

Zax Kirkbride, manly man with a super cool 'Darksuit', which isn't hard but has borderline magical powers, is a thing; he berates Leon constantly for being stupid and not being as hardcore badass as Real American Cops and constantly berates the Sabers for not speaking English. (One would have thought Leon was an American import himself. I've always liked the idea of him being the most Californian man in Megatokyo.) Also it turns out Fargo was a secret agent for the French this whole time, who are plotting something sinister and undefined. I dunno. Stuff happens, Zax is annoying in the way that the author thinks is supposed to be badass, Largo's in there somewhere, it's 15K words. It's not bland, but it's not fun either. It walks that razor line between based and cringe.

Eh, I'd say read it. It's almost funny. Almost.

Tales of the Red Knight Saber: So this one's from 1996, of all things. Weirdly enough, its followup The Esper Chronicles appears to have been written before it? Or this one was edited later on. It changes the name of the other Overpowered Male Borderline Self Insert from the Esper Chronicles to sound more like a Dragon Ball character (pretty sure he even put in an author’s note encouraging readers to imagine said character as looking that way), except then Mackie also has a hardsuit in Esper Chronicles, the one he gets here? Whatever. I’m past the point of caring at this point,

Anyway, this one takes other fanfiction as canon, namely the Bubblegum Zone (eh) and Tokyo Babylon (ew), so Bert is a thing, and Mackie is just coming into his own with his own mental powers the way Celia is. So of course he goes to high school, beats up a bully or two, builds his own hardsuit, and Celia refuses to let him do anything with it. So he just blasts open the garage door, caring little for his sister's wishes, kills some Boomers, and now he's on the team.

Celia comes off as the scold she does in Bubblegum Zone (ugh), Mackie's super cool by the standards of a writer who's obviously in high school, and then a fucking psychic shows up because of course he does. One yearns for it all to stop.

Good lord, and the spelling and grammar are atrocious, like borderline My Immortal atrocious. Like, pull-your-teeth-out atrocious. Alas, Robert Pool (whadda name!)'s prequel is even worse.

The Esper Chronicles: This one is borderline incoherent in its first few 'parts', I swear to fucking god. It seems to think it's a script fic, but then the author doesn't follow that format very well, then drops it entirely in the later parts. It also keeps cutting in with useless author notes with emoticons included trying to explain shit Pool really should have just put in the beginning of a given part.

Anyway, our new OPMBSIMC (I’m only going to use this acronym once again I promise) is Locke Sommerville, who is a, get ready for this, a psychic. Like, Akira levels of psychic power. He also has a perpetual smirk on his face, as so many of these Badass Male Protagonists must.

Anyway, he's Leon's partner, they go to see the chief and, uh... hold up. Here's a quote:

"she noticed that Leon was occupying his desk and looking like he was ready for death- although not as bad as that time after when Priss sexually abused him (see "a very speacial BGC fanfic for more info. I plan to make a follow up to that story called "leon and priss" in the future if its author doesn't mind). he was having a terrible day."

Dude. What the fuck.

It gets dumber. Turns out Locke's psychic powers (esper powers, whatever, I don't care) manifested when he was in high school with Sylia and Priss, so they're childhood friends... and so are Sylia and Priss. How, you ask? Well, the guy probably never saw Asu E Touchdown's music video where the two meeting was shown however briefly. So let's just throw that aside, gloss over the usual "manly man saves girly girl from rape-muggers who want to 'have some fun'" cliche... yes, let's just forget that ever happened. Far funnier is the fact that the resurrected Largo's Base Of Evil Operations is literally styled like a gothic castle on the inside, all red carpet and dark stone. I think that's incredibly, almost stupidly funny.

Crusade of Vengeance: This is one of those fics where the writing is good enough to not obstruct the stupidity of the plot and descriptions of things. This time, our OPMBSIMC (jesus that’s a mouthful) is one Matt Vidor, son of another scientist killed by GENOM. With him and his team of rogue black-ops commandos using M32 assault rifles - wait.

Hold on. Oh, they’re M16 mark two’s, the author says as much in parentheses. Because doubling the numbers doesn’t instead get you an already extant weapon, namely the Milkor MGL, the big blooper-y grenade launcher that video games love so much. Okay, for an ammosexual whose MacGuffin is a do-anything gunship that was supposed to be the next-generation of US Military murder machine, you aren’t very good at the appropriate wanking.

Anyway, they break into this one warehouse, and steal the Vidor gunship and its accompanying hardsuit, described as Boba Fett’s armor but double-sized. No. Literally. Parentheses again. And the gunship is described as larger than a Chinook, and that's about it. Supposedly between the two one could level Megatokyo... which I doubt. Only so much ammo on even a big gunship, you know?

So our boy (not using that acronym again, fuck that noise) gets his gear effortlessly, kills good ol' Kate Madigan (of all the roles she usually plays in fanfic, dying to establish our boy's badassery isn't one. color me surprised), and escapes. Then he and his mentor hang out at Hot Legs, grumble about GENOM, get ogled by Linna and Nene (even though our Gary Stuart is supposed to be 'barely out of his teenage years'), and that's it. It's three thousand words of nothing, but worth reading over the course of ten minutes just to laugh-cringe at.

honestly severide’s slow descent into desperation over his shoulder was really well written, it has really good pacing

I am once again writing a mini fic about a thing that happened in Masters. First Leon, now N, except I am a proud mother( even though I'm younger).

Summary: Alexis is at his fucking limit.

Notes: I actually don't know if N with Reshiram is a sygna suit pairing or not, so in this fic I'm going to assume that it is. This is gonna be pretty ooc for N too. Oh and this isn't a ship. Enjoy :)

A month. One month. One single month from the whole Leon Sygna Suit incident. But he's over that. It's not like he have been staring at the man longer than he'll like to admit. Of course not! But this? This one's different.

Sygna suits are quite the hot topic around here in Pasio, so Alexis isn't too surprised when people like Cynthia, Elesa, and Grimsley decided to get one. There was a point where he thought to get one himself. So N's new look isn't the thing that's bothering him. In fact he's glad that N decided to spice things up a bit, try something he hasn't really done before. It shows how more comfortable he is with himself and the world around him. That's great!

The problem is Reshiram.

"N." The older man averted his eyes, sheepishly smiling while playing with his fingers. He knows that he's guilty. He knows it. Alexis can't help but be thankful that he isn't acting like Leon one month ago. Acting innocent and oblivious to the things he was literally doing just then.

" Whatcha got there?" Behind N was, of course, Reshiram. The legendary that first chose him all that time ago before N giving it up to Eva. It's face betrays little emotion, though it is standing very close to N, it's wings hovering over his tall body.

" .... Reshiram," N mutters, finally looking at Alexis. Well. Looking down. But that's not the point.

"Mhm. N?"

"Y-yeah"

"What was the pokemon that was your sync pairs before?"

"Zekrom.... But you said it was okay for me to use Storm!" The name of it's partner in crime caused Reshiram to pert up a little .

" That I did, but only because I thought Storm would be your sync pair in the long run. Apparently not!" Alexis points to Reshiram, Fiera as Eva calls it.

" And now your telling me that Fiera, the pokemon you decided to let go and let it choose Eva, is once again your partner?!"

N is silent for a minute, probably choosing his words very carefully. Or at least that's what Alexis wants, cause right now N looks like he's trying really hard no to laugh.

" Ok, but I have a really good explanation for this." N voice sounds like he's holding back a laugh so bad. Alexis raises brow. He has a feeling where this going.

" In my defense," he snickers to himself, " It was funny,"

Once the words fall out of N's mouth, Alexis took a long exasperated sigh, and puts his hands to his face. Arcues damn it Elliot.

" No. Get away from me. No" Alexis says half-heartedly, not even attempting to get away from N's embrace. It's crazy to think that at one point, both of them strictly refused to touch each other. Now you would find them sharing a couch together watching corny movies, vibing. Crazy.

"My brother, oh how I have dishonored you! Will you ever forgive me?" N jokes, even pulling of a fake Galarian accent. Little Shit.

" If your calling me a little shit in your head, I must tell you that I am very much not 'little',".

" I hate you. Get away from me," Alexis says as he tries to pull away from N's "brotherly hug", but N is surprisingly strong.

Reshiram( Fiera), who has been watching thus interaction unfold, suddenly moved behind the two, and wrapped it's wings around them. A hug. It's really warm, but now Alexis can't escape N's hug. Great.

So giving up, the two of them just stay there. A hug within a hug. It's really nice, even if they're all standing. Soon N speaks up.

"You know Zekrom-Storm- misses you right?"

"It does?" Alexis hums. It shouldn't surprise him. Storm did choose him to be it's Hero. But it does still.

" Yeah. It's been watching you here in Pasio. Seeing you battle. Seeing you have fun. It's proud of you, but still kinda feels left out,". Despite all that had happened, it still confuses Alexis why his pokemon love and adore him as they do. Why they would ever want to be with him. So Alexis' first instinct was to deny it. N was a better trainer than he is, making sure his pokemon didn't get hurt. Zekrom should be with him that with Alexis, despite all the fuss he made about it earlier.

But there's a small part of him that misses Zekrom as well. There was a sense of self-worth that flooded him when Storm first appeared. That, yes, he was good enough, despite the pain he's been through. It feels....nice to know that Zekrom feels the same. Besides, N wouldn't lie about there's type of things now would he?

" It thinks your a good trainer, and you are!" N emphasizes, pinching Alexis' cheek for good measure.

"Yeah,yeah......thanks" a small smile appears on his face.

" If you want to, you could make a sync pair with with it. Maybe get a Sygna Suit....."

Alexis would be lying if he hadn't thought about it. It wouldn't be a terrible idea....though he does need to check in with Kai, his Samurott.

" I....guess it wouldn't be bad.."

" Yeah! And if you get a Sygna Suit, then it'll be Leon's turn to stare-"

Headcanon a pair of IshiLeon!! I love them very much and decided to take up heads on them (although I haven't done this with anything before).

ღ— to begin with, Taka and Leon would make a good and strong couple.

ღ— it's not surprising, but Kiyotaka will be very responsible in their relationship.

ღ— just like Leon. If you think that Leon is a womanizer and his love with Kiyotaka will not last very long, then you are mistaken. (okay, if you think Leon is a womanizer, please leave me.)

ღ-Yes, Leon did have brief relationships with all the girls before, but with this wonderful guy, it's different. And it's not just that he's Dating a guy instead of a girl.

ღ— Kiyotaka convinced Leon that he doesn't need to change yourself and that he loves him as he is. Earlier (when they were still friends), Leon often talked about his appearance, lying on ishimaru's bed while He was doing some business at his Desk. Like, " should I dye my hair a different color? Maybe some more piercings? Maybe get pumped up, or something else?". Taka listened patiently, but once asked why he was thinking so much about it and was a little upset about the reason. "If you want to change yourself, just for someone, it's wrong. Do you want it yourself?" Leon didn't expect this at all, and began to realize that he often didn't even think about whether he wanted to change something in himself. "If a person really likes you, then they will like you the same way. Don't let people control you and your appearance, Kuwata-kun!"

ღ— it Should be said that Leon, despite the appearance of a bright and cheeky guy, is very soft at heart. You know, after those words that he would be beautiful, even if he did not change something in himself, he cried into the pillow for half an hour with a smile from ear to ear. Only then did he fall asleep. (and in the morning he found that he had forgotten to wash the arrows from his eyes. Chihiro, having visited him first in the morning, was afraid of Leon's slightly black and blurry face, haha)

ღ— If you're wondering how they confessed to each other, it came out a bit spontaneously. That is... Taka wasn't going to talk about his feelings to Leon ("I don't want to ruin my friendship with Kuvata-kun just because of some feelings!") , and Leon was going to do it in some romantic setting.

ღ— Leon accidentally asked if Kiyotaka had ever liked anyone (no, he didn't think They were insensitive. It's just that with his obsession with learning, he wouldn't notice anyone he might like around him, would he?). Taka immediately became nervous, but firmly and briefly answered "Yes". Leon's curiosity was greatly aroused. Under all the denials, Leon still convinced him to answer at least a few questions. And when it all became too close to the truth, which Leon just didn't fully believe, he directly asked if it was a girl at all. After that, they quickly came to the fact that sympathy Is still sitting right in front of him. It all looked pretty funny - red as his shoulder patch and Tuck and Leon, who is sitting with an expression of happy shock on his face.

ღ— Both were surprised by the situation, but decided that if they love each other, they can meet. Great, right?

ღ— Leon is very sensitive to their relationship, so he tries to take all the first steps in a comfortable mode for Kiyotaka. Yes, sometimes he surprises him with something, but some big things like the first kiss, he tries not to do spontaneously.

ღ— and this is at least because Taka is always embarrassed by the way Leon shows his feelings for him.

ღ-Oh, and by the way, about the first kiss. It took place in a very cozy and gentle environment.

ღ-After a long and difficult day for both of them, they were lying on the bed together. Kiyotaka decided it would be appropriate to hug his boyfriend at the moment, and he did. He almost melted at Leon's gentle smile at that moment, but it was worth it.

ღ - and after 10 minutes of hugging, Taka tried a completely new thing for him and kissed Leon on the cheek. "Kuwata-kun, you have very.. Soft cheeks. I-can I do it again?". Taka was very embarrassed by his own actions, and Leon was pleasantly (very pleasantly) surprised and allowed him to do whatever he wanted.

ღ— and after perhaps five kisses on different parts of the face, Leon moved closer to Taka's lips and finally made their first kiss. It was short-lived, but pleasant. And in general, the same short-lived then repeated 3 more times. After that, they went to bed. Leon was sleeping on Taka's chest.

ღ— by the way, since about this day, they have a tradition-to kiss each other before going to bed. Nice, don't you think?

ღ— The further they went, the closer they got. Over time, Leon convinced Taka to call him by his first name. "Taka, how many times do I have to tell you? I don't want you to call me that. This.. Too formal. No matter how sweet you say it //"

ღ— he literally made Taka repeat his name so that he would finally drop the habit of his "Kuwata-kun". He did it... On the 30th attempt? But even so.

ღ— and it was at this time that Leon received a slightly unexpected compliment. "You have a very gentle name.. Leon."

ღ— Name??? Gentle?? Does this happen? "Maybe you just meant beautiful? There is nothing in it, really-" - "No, it is gentle. It is very pleasant to pronounce."

ღ— well, we haven't talked about their dates. At first, Leon didn't call them that, otherwise Taka would have been too tense.

ღ-after a hard day's work, Leon likes to take Taka to the forest. You know, it's very beautiful there-space, freedom and fresh air. And most importantly - silence (and no school!!!). It used to be considered Leon's secret place where he spent time alone. But for his second half, you can open the way to this place, which he did. Undoubtedly, Taka loved this place very much.

ღ-Usually such meetings "alone with nature" do not occur often to preserve a kind of cozy atmosphere. And so, most often they go to some common places for couples-cafes, parks, and so on.

ღ— Taka sometimes asks Mondo for advice on what to do "with your loved one ". If only because he didn't know who else to ask. He did not say who exactly he was dating, but Mondo was aware of the fact from the very beginning (by the way, it was he who gave Taka the idea that he might be in love)

ღ— but sooner or later, Leon and Taka revealed themselves. At least for their best friends - Mondo and Chihiro. They were happy for them, it's pretty obvious.

ღ— After that, they could safely show all sorts of tenderness, while being with their friends. For example, Taka sometimes feeds Leon with a hand or spoon, and Leon often sits Taka on his lap.

ღ— in any case, this couple has some sad moments. Each of them sometimes experiences various negative emotions, and of course, they help each other cope with this. Whether it's a small thing or not.

ღ— Sometimes because of heavy thoughts, and sometimes because of too much fun, Leon likes to " get " Taka at night. At one point, he wondered if he was being too selfish in violating Kiyotaki's regime (there's nothing to say about Leon's regime - it never really happened). But Taka reassured him that everything was fine. Despite the fact that all this conversation took place in the third hour of the night and Taka was sleeping with one eye (almost two) at Leon's feet.

ღ—About their nights together. They do sleep together a lot. So they are calm and comfortable. They don't have any familiar posture, so they always sleep differently. Lying on the arm or on the chest of a partner, hugging him for some part of the body or just burying your face in the side, curled up in a club-these are the warmest moments of their day. For Taki, there is nothing better to feel the warmth of a loved one near you, who wishes him a gentle and sleepy tone of good night. Especially by calling it "Ishi".

ღ— and this happens every day. Kiyotaka loves Leon, and Leon loves Kiyotaka. They share this love and.. Live happily ever after)

Out of curiosity, do you have any ships for the Silver Snakes? If you do, could you name them and elaborate on why you like them? I love your art style btw it just looks so smooth to me!

I do, IN FACT!!!! I wonder if you mean couples within the silver snakes only (oc x oc) or with fe3h canon characters as well? Well, I’ll write about both and the ideas I have here... brace yourself, It’s gonna be a long ask cause you unleashed my love for couples....

Nicolai and Leon is one of my faves, basically brother in arms that become closer as time passes. Nicolai can’t socialize and deal with people for shit so having someone like Leon that has a very sunny and patient personality around is very comforting. Plus Leon has a lot of energy and will to live, and with time manages to... uh... maybe influence Nicolai with it a little? Or, at least, grab his skinny ass when he’s about to sacrifice himself in battle AGAIN and save him. Nicolai has an ardent desire to die and Leon is just not gonna let him, you know? When war starts Leon promises him he’ll bring him to his village in Dagda to meet his family.... and then when war is over they move there and fuck off forever, living in peace for the rest of their days. Nicolai finally has the opportunity to be who he wants and not have to pass down his crest or being haunted by his family legacy anymore.

Nicolai and Kristjan, they’re both very quiet and not exactly socially adapt, but that’s kind of what they enjoy from eachother, the possibility to just enjoy eachother’s presence without pressure or having to talk/break the silence. Incredibly enough, I think that when confronted with another shy person, Nicolai would be the one to step up and be more protective and supportive. I think that this relationship would bring out the protective / chivalrous side in him..... yeah....... I don’t know I just imagine how quiet, peaceful and swee those times would be 

Nicolai and Bernadetta, reject humanity, return to being social recluse... I feel like they have similar personalities and kinda vibe together well, after of course the trials and tribulations of Bernie trying to escape everytime she sees him because she thinks Nicolai is the spectre of death that was sent to kill her or something. But that just adds to the fun part of it and ridicolousness of the couple edhjfcghjdgfh. Plus Nicolai likes reading edgy poetry and novels so he would be really supportive of Bernie’s books. 

Nicolai and Sylvain... hee hoo you know me, I do enjoy a sprinkle of Sylvain content here and there... basically Sylvain is the only one from Blue Lions that doesn’t hate him after they discovered the Haandrastsz family had a part into killing Dimitri’s father. The Haandrastsz family terriroties were also near the Gautier's, so they knew eachother when they were little. (I cannot escape the childhood friends trope I am sorry) After the war, before rejoining with the other Silver Snakes, Nicolai retires to Sreng (where him and his uncle were exiled to by the Kingdom) and stays there, commanding a small army and gaining the trust/leadership of the local warlords. One time he leads an attack on Gautier territory and Sylvain is like ‘Oh hey Nico- HEY WHAT THE FUCK’  And I don’t know... I just think it’s kinda funny... Also Sylvain is the only one in Blue Lions from the original group of childhood friends that doesn’t really... judge people for who they are, you know (that’s why I love him), so it feels realistic that he wouldn’t think less of Nicolai for what his family did. Knowing the guy, he would probably try to find a peaceful solution to the situation, and even if Nicolai usually doesn’t give a shit about people, he would be like “Yeah okay I GUESS I can try talking to Sylvain instead of just brutally murdering him”. So yeah, the sheer contrast between personalities, and the similar trauma from crests/ families... I just think it makes for a cool combo.

Cassandra and Esther, another one of my fave couples, Esther grew up in poverty in the Empire’s capital and hating nobles for the huge power imbalance in Fòdlan, so seeing Cassandra’s objective to completion is one of the most important things in her life. Despite the big differences in their upbringing, they discovered that they shared a lot of things in common, and felt very comfortable and safe in the company of the other. Cassandra always felt like an outcast even between her family, so she finds Esther’s point of view on life very important and close to her heart. Cassandra loves how much of a free spirit she is, and wants to eventually be free and feel like she’s allowed to be herself, two things she can really experience when she’s with her. Esther’s story is part of why Cassandra feels like she needs to succeed and bring a change to Fòdlan, and made a promise to her that if she ever loses sight of her original dream and becomes yet another swayed ruler, Esther has to kill her  👀  Also, that good old “ruler and their right hand” kind of ship... you know? 

Cassandra and Mithra, another good ruler and their right hand ship... Mithra has trust in Cassandra as a leader and person, and is willing to do anything to help her achieve her dream! I think Mithra is a very silent person that doesn’t share her feelings and emotion easily because she’s always on high guard, expecting an attack from every direction, and focused on her duty almost too much to allow herself to be human and not only a soldier. That why it’s really cute when i think about how she would open up and eventually fall in love... YEAH

Cassandra and Sayid, this is a bit of a ‘what if’ kind of ship because Cassandra is gay, so I see this couple as more of a “platonic soulmates” kind of situation. Sayid and Cassandra’s relationship is one of my favourites because it starts from childhood friends, then changes to rivals, to frenemies, and then grows to trusted friends who will never be able to leave eachother. Cassandra was promised to marry one of Sayid’s older brothers when she was little, so he often jokes about how Sayid lost to his brothers even to that. (”Yes, but I was the one that had the honor to be right next to you” he would probably reply) They are eachother’s most trusted person, and Sayid grows from wanting Cassandra’s spot as leader and thinking she is inadequate to the role to being her most trusted advisor, that wholeheartedly supports her. It’s mostly the growth of the relationship that does it for me.

Mithra and Dedue...OKAY No joke I made Mithra Duscurian also because so Dedue could have a friend from the same country... so they can share Duscur stories and culture. Mithra left Duscur when she was little so she feels like she’s missing a part of her culture, and I just feel like her supports and relationship with him would be an amazing opportunity to both expand more on Duscurian culture and allow both to enjoy their home country and bond over it! And then maybe at the end of the war they can move back to what’s left of Duscur and start to rebuild together. 

Mithra and Felix, this is a bit of weird one, especially because of Felix’s shitty views on Duscur, but I’m mostly looking at the promise for a good character development and how cool an idea of a ‘warrior couple’ is. They start off as sparring partner, Mithra shares Felix’s dedication for battle and training, so they often find eachother at the training grounds until they start to train together. They develop a kind of friendly rivalry over wanting to beat the other, and being the two strongest students at the monastery. Felix gets his ass handed to him a couple of times, and his mental process is ‘holy shit how > fuck you > groagrhaprfgakdfgh > okay but she’s strong, I can learn from her if i continue to fight her’ to eventually respecting her skill and position. Mithra recognizes his strenght and unparalleled ability on the battlefield, but comments on his lack of teamwork and how fighting alone and not following orders is going to get him killed someday. (Being that she’s lived her life in the military, diligence is a very important value- and a way of life to her) Their rivalry/competition translates to keeping the other safe in battle (”you’re not allowed to die before I beat you” kind of deal) and eventually... uh... wow... emotions???

Sayid and Ferdinand, dhsgchdgsh To be honest this is boys being fancy and bisexual... They do share some values and morals, Ferdinand’s view on nobility are akin to Sayid’s, even though Sayid is a bit more like ‘earning what you and your family have’ rather than simply inheriting a role. I do like that they mirror eachother by being a leader’s right hand man, and growing their rivalry into a frienship with them, so I feel like they’d have that in common, and some interesting conversations could spark from that! Plus yeah have I mentioned fancy bisexual boys...

Leon and Hilda, okay this one too is like... nothing too deep stort wise, I just feel that they’d be such a cute good couple?? Mostly because of how they both have sunny personalities and how Leon would indulge Hilda and protect her... and they also give me some big domestic vibes?

Esther and Annette is just... listen... I don’t know exactly why I can see the two of them so well together, I just think their personalities would align really well and would lead up to some really cute support conversations and eventually relationship...

Kristjan and Linhardt is an interesting couple because while I think they have similar interests on magic/ crest studies, they have very opposite personalities. I like that Lin is very blunt and unapologetic about his interests and peculiar way of life, while Kristjan feels like even his presence is a bother and something he needs to apologize about. I think they could bond over their shared interests (you know Lin wouldn’t resist to analyze the peculiar crest situation Kristjan has going on) but also count as interesting opposites to eachother. Lin would definitely be a positive influence over how insecure Kristjan is, and have a role in him accepting himself. Also.... cute nerdy boyfriends who love to read and study together??? Yeah...

Kristjan and Lysithea another cute couple, but this time based on how interesting it would be to see them interact and talk about their similar stories with crest experiments. I feel like they would both benefit from being able to talk honestly about the trauma and experience of it all. And I also like that two individuals that feel like their life is not in their hands anymore- CAN grow and create their own life together.

Kristjan and Olympia is... one of the first couples I thought about back when I created the silver snakes! I really like how they’re polar opposites (again) and how well they mesh together. One of the consequences of the experiments done on Kristjan is that he can channel the power of his crest stone to enhance his abilities, and eventually, also to get really physically strong for a short moment of time. I imagined that it would be really cool and unexpected if the one person that managed to beat Olympia in a duel is in fact not even someone who’s an expert with physical combat! Olympia  is a very romantic and affectionate person, and I just really like the idea of Kristjan being showered with the love he deserves. (Plus I love the ship dynamic of mage/studious male character with strong/warrior female character a lot AHAH)

Olympia and Lorenz are... there to be fancy, cute and gorgeous together?? Despite some parts of his ideologies (that luckily he works and grows on), Lorenz’s ‘romantic’ idea of chivalry is very fascinating at the eyes of Olympia, and he kind of represents the idea of the ‘knight in shining (purple with roses) armor’ that she always looked for! They also both love fashion, art, drinking tea and little things like that... and I, AGAIN, love the idea of a couple where the woman is the strongest in the relationship dhgchjdsgcdsh There’s something really cute and powerful about her living her romantic fantasy with someone.

Olympia and Dorothea... JUST GALS BEING PALS... or not. They’re bisexuals together. I think they’d start to bond over Olympia’s idea of romance and research for someone that could beat her in a duel/ win her heart, and eventually really come close due to their experiences in dating/ finding out what they really want from love and relationship. And then they find that together!!!

I think you could sum up the types of couples I like with ‘similar personalities’ and ‘complete opposites’ AHAHAH It’s something that intrigues me with people in real life too! I discovered I tend to feel as fascinated by people that are similar to me, as much as people who are really different from me. This was a LOOONG response, but I loved to think about these couples and write down their dynamics! I hope you’re ready for a very detailed and long response! Eastwood

So I watched all the westerns by Eastwood. Below you’ll find my list of what I’d say are his best to not necessarily worst just not great. Keep in mind that this list is just my opinion and yours very well may differ and hey that’s great. Also keep in mind there will be spoilers but to be fair the majority of these movies are older than me. I would also like to point out that I didn’t view Rawhide as I really didn’t seem like something I’d like. The list is as best as I can tell are all of his westerns. Some are kind of iffy as I don’t consider them a western.

1.”Unforgiven” 1992

 My original pick was going to be “For a Few dollars more”. I re-watched Unforgiven again and have decided that Unforgiven is his best western. Made in 1992. It features Morgan Freeman, Gene Hackman and Richard Harris. There might even be more stars but those are the ones that stood out to me. The plot basically goes like this. William Munny a ruthless killer back in the day settles down with a woman who changes his life. He gave up his killer ways. The wife is already dead when the movie starts and Munny stays on the good path for lack of better phrasing. I don’t want to spoil to much more but needless to say a large bounty put on some ruffians leads to some nice action. 

I love the soundtrack to this movie. Well at least one song in particular and that’s Claudia’s theme. You can YouTube if you wish. I think it’s really great. 

A couple of quotes that I enjoyed. 

“ I've killed women and children. I've killed everything that walks or crawls at one time or another. And I'm here to kill you, Little Bill, for what you done to Ned”

.”It's a hell of a thing, killing a man. You take away all he's got and all he's ever gonna have.“

2. “For a few dollars more” 1965

 This is the sequel to a “Fistful of dollars”. It’s part of the famous dollar trilogy movies. Made in 1965 Eastwood portrays the man with no name. I really like  Lee Van Cleef as Col. Douglas Mortimer. It’s a revenge type of western. Both Cleef and Eastwood characters are pretty much bounty hunters. Cleef has an entirely different motive for his actions though. They seem to have great chemistry together too. I also like the dialogue between them as well. Clint Eastwood's character calls Lee Van Cleef's character "old man", while Van Cleef's character calls Eastwood "boy". Once more I love the music plays when the pocket watch is opened up. 

3.” A fist full of dollars.” 1964  

The beginning if you will of the the man with no name trilogy or dollars trilogy which ever you prefer. The dollars trilogy is what you call a spaghetti western. “ Spaghetti westerns were not rated highly due to their low budgets, over the top violence and inferior art work. But, these Spaghetti Westerns changed that perception forever. Director Sergio Leone gave one after another hit and this trilogy made Clint Eastwood a mega star. “ Some people don’t like them or they find them to corny. Each to their own. I loved the movies. My father pointed out to me one of the things that bugged him was the constant camera cuts to the other characters in the film. It especially focuses on their eyes. I never noticed it until he pointed it out. I do love the scene where he confronts the bullies/bad guys. On his way to them. He passes by the undertaker and tells him to get three coffins ready. After the shootout he passes back by the undertaker and tells him my mistake 4 coffins.

4. “The Good, The bad and the Ugly.” 1966 

The last of the dollars trilogy. A lot of people will say that this is the best of the three movies. Like the previous  film it also stars Lee Van Cleef. This time though he is one of the villain’s. It’s a good movie. I enjoyed  Eli Wallach as Tuco. Once more you have the music on point with  The Ecstasy of Gold. I heard that song years earlier when Metallica would use it. My last thought on this trilogy is I do love how Eastwood is always smoking those little cigars. I have read though he actually hated them.

5. “Two Mules for Sister Sara” 1970

This one is a film I really liked. It doesn’t seem to be as serious as the previous I’ve listed above. It actually has quite a few comedic moments in it. I think one of the best parts of the movie is after Hogan (Eastwood) saves Sara from impending doom. She gets dressed and comes back out in her nun gear. Once Hogan realizes she is a known his expression is great then he exclaims “Jesus Christ”. I noticed this movie had blood in it. A lot of the earlier ones don’t. One guy gets his arm cut off and one takes a machete to the face. It’s a good movie and I enjoyed it. I should note the soundtrack or at least one song they play over at times in the film is a play on the title. It sounds like a mule actually braying. Pretty nifty. 

6. “Pale Rider” 1985

Another good movie. Eastwood is just known as the preacher in this movie. He helps out a prospect town from becoming a mining town. When the prospectors will not give up their land. A marshal and his deputies are sent in to get prospectors out. It’s hinted at that the marshal may know the preacher form the way he reacts after told his description. This is definitely one of my favorites though. It does get a little weird with the preacher having intercourse with a guy’s girlfriend. The action is great though. It should be noted that it’s been told that Eastwood’s charter is a ghost in this film. Richard Kiel is in this movie as well. He is a well established actor. Most likely known for playing Jaws in Moonraker. 

7. Outlaw Josey wales 1976

A lot of people like this movie. It’s Eastwoods only PG rated western. It’s once more a revenge type western. Josey’s family is murdered by the Union army and he joins a confederate group to get his revenge. I think one of the best parts in the movie is when Josey shoots the rope holding a ferry going across the river. Some of the Union soldiers horses fall into the river preventing them from reaching Wales. This movie is said to be George Strait’s favorite. I did find it funny that the old man in charge of the ferry was playing to both sides. If you were a Confederate he would sing “Dixie” if you were a Union solider he would sing “Battle hymn of the republic” Ever the opportunist I suppose. 

"Well Mr. Carpetbagger, we got something in this territory called a Missoura boat ride!"

8.”High plains drifter” 1973

This movie could be almost a part of the man with no name trilogy. It’s just not as good. I liked the midget character named Mordecai . He is one of the best in the movie and funny. This is one of the movies where it’s possible that the stranger (Eastwood’s character) could be a ghost. Some people say he is the sheriff’s brother. Eastwood has said that himself. Then again some people say he is the ghost of the sheriff himself. It’s up to the viewer and how you choose to interpret it. This movie also marks the first movie Eastwood directed that was a western.

9. “Hang’em High” 1968

This was Eastwoods first major role in America. The Dollars trilogy had yet to come out over here in America. Jed  (Eastwoods character) is wrongfully hanged by a posse. He naturally seeks revenge after being rescued. He becomes a Marshal and winds up bringing some of the posse to justice. It also stars Pat Hingle. I really only know him from Tim Burton’s Batman. He played Commissioner Gordon. 

10. “Joe Kidd” 1972

To be honest with you this movie really doesn’t do anything for me at all. It’s not a bad movie but it’s not one that really captivates me either. It stars Robert Duvall as a rich/wealthy landowner trying to push Mexicans off of their land. He hires Eastwood’s character named Joe Kidd. It does have some decent moments. A pretty cool scene shows Kidd taking out a gunman upon a rock. The final fight is also pretty neat where Kidd drives a train through the bar.

1.”Bronco Billy” 1980

This movie was on the list and I viewed it. I liked it. Eastwood plays a carnival showman. It’s your typical story of guy and girl don’t get along. Then as the movie progresses they start to get along and wind up with one another. It’s not a western but it has the theme. It does have  Scatman Crothers in it as Doc. Throw in a crooked lawyer and a crooked husband and this is the movie you have. 

2. “Paint your wagon” 1969 

This set during the gold rush. It is a musical though and you can get the soundtrack on itunes. I heard about this movie from The Simpsons years ago. It doesn’t have a western feel to me. Eastwood plays Pardner. It’s a cool little musical. It’s an interesting movie though. A Mormon has two wives and he sells one. Well Pardner and his partner Ben rum son played by Lee Marvin buys her. Elizabeth the wife that was purchased basically has two husbands. It’s really a good movie. My favorite song being “Wand’rin Star”

3. “The Beguiled” 1971

They had this movie on the list and there again I witched it. It’s certainly not a western. It’s okay. Eastwood kind of plays a bad guy in it but only to survive. Set in the Civil War era. He is an injured Union solider rescued by a little girl. She takes him to an all girls school. It should be noted that this is the only movie in which a character portrayed by Eastwood dies.

Hoo-boy.

I actually appreciate this recap page, I really do, but it just rubs me the wrong way. I’m not sure if it’s the content of the recap that pisses me off or if it’s for the fact that they literally just took a page from the previous issue and slapped in some new dialogue (see Bendis’ Man of Steel mini for this to be taken to the extreme).

Most likely the latter, but there’s a good argument for the former because reading objective statements about what Bendis has done tends to do that. I guess what they could be going for is for something similar to when Svengoolie comes back from commercial break and it’s a still from the movie with Sven’s face superimposed somewhere and he makes a quip about the movie before it starts back up again.

But I digress. It fills me in on what’s been happening in the book and that’s what I needed it to do.

The art really goes down in quality since last issue. Romita, Jr.’s pencils aren’t as good, Janson’s inks are heavier and a lot more boring, and Anderson’s colors are bland and flat and not as lively. There are a few good spots and I’ll point them out, but they’re infrequent, and overall, the quality of the art is much more similar to the art in the Metropolis Doom arc than it is to last issue. This leads me to believe that editorial only gave the art team enough time over the pandemic-induced break in publishing to produce one good issue before forcing them back into a deadline where Romita, Jr.’s work is not as good and tends to suffer.

Red Cloud attacks and attempts to kill Jimmy Olsen instead of Lois Lane to send an even greater message to her and Clark.

For those of you that don’t know, the Invisible Mafia speak in code to avoid detection by Superman’s super-hearing and meet in areas surround by lead to hide from his supervision. In the beginning of this confrontation, no one says anything that Superman would respond to if he hasn’t already tuned it out, which is why Lois says out loud her nickname for her husband to get his attention.

It’s a sign of affection for them and could be utilized for such a scenario, but I don’t see why she had to say his nickname over anything else to get his attention. Maybe because since he revealed his identity to the world his real name is being said a lot more often in non-criminal ways, so he doesn’t respond to it as much as he has in the past. I’m not sure if I’m trying to come up with a rational excuse for what is actually a writer’s weird and out-of-character creative choice or if it’s what an actually competent writer intended for a discerning reader to infer and get joy from a successful analysis.

Regardless, it’s what got Superman’s attention at the end of Superman segment in the last issue. I don’t think what was supposed to be conveyed with those panels last issue was accurately conveyed by the art. Either Romita, Jr. didn’t sufficiently depict (but still beautifully rendered) what Bendis had directed him to draw, or Bendis had poorly directed Romita, Jr. in what he wanted him to draw. With this added context, however, these panels do make a lot more sense, but only with the added context. Without it, the scene is a little unclear.

You can clearly see the change in art with the two issues side by side like this. This issue, the art just doesn’t look as good. It’s just kinda blegh. It accomplishes what it needs to convey the story, but in a very boring and unspectacular way.

Also, this panel is very Harry Potter to me. Superman’s more subdued face is similar to that of book!Dumbledore in Goblet of Fire, but the almost hyperbolic dialogue is more akin to that of movie!Dumbledore. It’s very dissonant.

I really want to hate the humor of this panel, but it’s just so fun, so I won’t.

This is a really cool panel, one of the few standout moments, but I have issues.

First, I may have enjoyed the humor in the last panel, but Bendis’ attempt at humor with Jon here just makes me want to cringe. Whenever Bendis makes Jon talk, it just pisses me off and makes me want to stop reading.

Second, I see what they were going for with the glowing eyes, but this is some more of that dissonance between the art and the writing. It actually looks quite menacing, but the dialogue has a more humorous tone. Also, the actual effect for the glow is just two red circles, making their eyes look more like flashlights than radiating energy. I also want you to keep this moment in the back of your minds, I’ll refer back to it in a second.

I think the dissonance is the result of the Bendis-speak, where some of the characters are quippy, but other characters are playing the situation straight and are reacting accordingly to the incorrect behavior. There’s nothing wrong with a superhero comic being light-hearted, but it just doesn’t quite fit here. All the right ingredients are present, but they’re not all in the right proportions.

Another panel I really like. The smoke and its color are really well done, especially in contrast to the all black silhouettes except for their back logos of the Supers.

The eye glow effect looks much better here. It’s simple yet powerful.

I don’t know how important this revelation is actually supposed to be, so I’ll defer to the depiction of the comic instead of playing the fool and acting upset about something I’m ignorant about simply because I’m not a fan of the writer.

This moment is cool and all, but I don’t think Conner has super-breath. He doesn’t actually have the powers of Superman, he uses his tactile telekinesis to mimic some of the powers of Superman.

The “extreme high-velocity super-speed” was this issue’s first indication that Bendis might not know anything about this character he has stewardship over, but that can just be chalked up to Superman not remembering the powers of Conner. We don’t know the upper limit of Conner’s tactile telekinetic flight, nor should we care, it’s supposed to be a fun line.

The second indication is that Conner is shown to have heat vision when his eyes glow alongside Clark and Jon’s. He only has heat vision when he wears special goggles or a visor. Again, he doesn’t have all the powers of Superman. Tactile telekinesis only covers so much of Superman’s powers. But this can be forgiven because it is a pretty cool image.

“Once Is Chance, Twice is Coincidence, Third Time Is A Pattern.” This panel is the third instance of Bendis’ lack of understanding of Conner’s character. If this was the only instance, this would be fine, but it’s not. The moment is cool, but it’s a bridge too far.

EDIT: Thanks to @thebartallenblog​ for pointing out to me that Conner does in fact start developing more Kryptonian powers outside of his tactile telekinesis in the 2003 Teen Titans  book by Geoff Johns, so Bendis does in fact know more about the character than I give him credit for, which is more than I can say for myself in this instance.

Also, this moment goes on for way too long, almost two entire pages. Beautiful, the art of decompression and wasting reader’s time and money.

“Should I super-inhale?” Shut up, Bendis.

Also, why is Red Cloud is so fixated on Superman’s family instead of just Superman. Does the Invisible Mafia have something against his family as well? It was my understanding that they have it out for him specifically, anything that is ancillary to him is extraneous and not worth their time.

“Hey! It’s not my favorite super-move on a good day.” Then why the fuck did you even make him suggest it, Bendis?

I don’t know if loved ones referring to Lois as Ma is something Bendis has been trying to push as a character quirk or if it’s some sort of weird one-off. Either way, I don’t like it. It’s not bad in of itself, don’t get me wrong, it’s just not my thing and there’s nothing wrong with that.

Again, I’m not sure how significant Jimmy figuring out Red Cloud's identity is supposed to be to the plot and the narrative, but this seems to be a bit of lampshading from a writer who literally has no right to be lampshading.

Couldn’t give a shit about the plot, I’m just here to nitpick. Next.

Feels a bit janky in the art department, but the dialogue is surprisingly in character. They all feel like they have their actual voices. It’s a nice little moment.

I would address all the instances of Bendis making Jon talk, but that would make this longer than it already is, so I’ll only do it when it’s particularly egregious.

Red Cloud comes back and attacks not!Jon and I couldn’t care less. Kill the bitch. Please.

The next two pages are a lot of nothing, just a boat load of Bendis-speak.

I’m pretty sure this played out a lot differently and more humorously in Bendis’ head when he wrote it down and Romita, Jr.’s art makes it all the more funny but for all the wrong reasons.

Who’s his partner? Officer Tomasi?

You know when I said that one panel with Lois, Clark, and Jimmy was written really in-character? This panel with Conner and Jon is the exact opposite of that.

Red Cloud and Ms. Leone have a fun back and forth for two pages. It’s a good example of Bendis-speak working well.

“Black Label Club?” One meta-reference is enough, but two is stupid. I actaully feel a little conflicted nitpicking this, but Black Label is in such a weird place right now, so why reference it?

But “Clark Kent walked into a bar...” is a pretty bad ass line, very John Wick.

A very cool sequence, but it’s full of Bendis-speak and very decompressed.

Why the fake-out of the Superfamily executing a gangland-style shooting with Jon being the one pulling the trigger? I get it’s a story beat the narrative is supposed to hit, but still.

The reveal is pretty funny, shrinking the club, so it’s a little forgivable, but the set up and the pay off don’t quite match. It’s just another example of that dissonance I’ve been mentioning.

I know that “supersons” line was put there by Bendis as a deliberate dig at his detractors, so I’m not going to take the bait and get pissed. Nice try, big guy.

All in all, this issue was not as bad as I initially thought. It’s series of some really big highs and lows.

I just started playing Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc and I'm pretty pumped about the game!

I watched 3 Game Grumps episodes where they played it, then decided I'd rather try it for myself than get further spoiled.

And now I have opinions on the characters! So here are my first impressions of them, which ones are my favorites, which ones I dislike, etc.

Hagakure: Is... he really psychic or not? It's ok, this is a game, I'm ready to believe. But it's not by spouting nonsense about ponies and angels that he'll convince me. Seems alright overall.

Junko: Looks like the stereotypical popular mean girl, but I believe she's more resourceful than she appears. From talking to her, seems to have a real good head on her shoulders. Good potential ally.

Celeste: I know, I know, I should be careful around her, she's a good liar and everything. But here's the thing: I don't believe she sees it as an advantage for her to kill someone, at least definitely not right away. Too many new things are unravelling and she'd rather adapt to them before making rash decisions.

Sakura: I like her :) She seems like a good person. "Avoid her if you want to survive," yeah, bullshit! Maybe I can't be her training partner but I'm gonna be her friend.

Hifumi: Okok, I'm with him in believing that fanfiction has value. And I'm all for enjoying your fantasies without shame. But dude, 1. Not all fanfiction needs to be like that. And 2. Stop being creepy with people. Don't. Nobody consents.

Mondo: I just... his hair grosses me out ok, I can't. Has extreme anger issues. Probably is a nice person deep down but I'd rather just avoid him.

Chihiro: Character models are kind of weird, why is she always crying? What the hell does "her fans love her for that bunny thing she has going on" mean? But also, ultimate programmer, so yay women in stem!

Taka: Well, he's kinda annoying. But also, he's probably gonna be a solid friend. Also he should definitely not yell at people to "punish him" cause he "feels so ashamed." I don't think it mean what he thinks it means. Anyways, I trust him.

Byakuya: Eat the rich.

Toko: I can sympathize with feeling insecure, but then turning around and viciously insulting other people? Nah man, that makes you an unpleasant person. Also her character models sometimes have a creepy anime smile I've only every seen in characters who aren't completely human.

Leon: He seems fun so I'm gonna be his friend! It is a power move to immediately quit baseball after being accepted at the school specifically for that. His hair and beard look cool. Don't know if he can actually make music but y'know, with enough practice he'll get better.

Sayaka: It's obvious that the game wants her to be your favorite. She's not my favorite, but she is kinda growing on me due to how much time we spend with her. Her devotion to Makoto is a bit odd, cause he's about as flavorful as water. She probably is actually psychic.

Makoto: Is about as flavorful as water. I get it tho, it makes it easier to insert your own personality, a bit like Link (Zelda).

Kyoko: Possesses a brain with multiple brain cells. I thought she'd already died until she showed up late to the first meeting, so that was a relief. Can keep her cool, which is a much needed skill in the kind of situation we're in. I will be seeking her friendship.

Hina: The game really wants to drive home that she's stupid, but she's not, ok? Look, it's not that hard, just spell out your name so she can remember it Makoto! I like her and want to be friends with her.

Monokuma: I mean, he's a shithead, but I do like his voice. It's funny.

bruno bucciarati.

tries not to make it obvious that he’s assigning more missions with you. Bucciarati tries to sprinkle in assignments where you work alone when he can; those days, he’ll tag along in the car just to spend a little more time with you. this infuriates Fugo to no end.

(you can’t help but notice Fugo being unusually snarky at most everything Bucciarati says during the ride.)

he starts to ask for your opinion on how to handle new missions. part of it is because he genuinely values your take, part of it is to spend time alone with you. ↳ “ah... I see. you make a valid point there. I’m glad that I came to you first, you always have such valuable insight.”

Bucciarati had always requested an update after a mission’s completion, but recently, those conversations seem to go longer. he asks more details about the mission, if there was anything interesting about it. if you mention you got hurt, he’ll ensure you get the best care Italy has to offer.

like a true gentleman, he always makes time to walk you home at night. you live on the opposite side of time from him, and despite your protests, he insists that it’s fine. ↳ “please, [Name]. I’d rather do this than wake up tomorrow to find that something happened to you.”

sometimes old ladies will giggle if they see you and Bucciarati on walks together. if you ask what they think is so funny, they’ll comment that it’s so nice to see him finally making time for relationships.

he’s smooth about brushing them off, however. he calls you a good friend, but subtly hints that he’s interested in entering the dating world.

unofficial first date: he takes his time walking you home after a meeting. casually suggests that you should walk along Naples’s port. after all, it’s a warm summer night. why waste it? he would let you carry the conversation since he loves hearing your voice, and would only chime in as he sees fit. you note that throughout the entire night, Bucciarati has a smile on his lips.

leone abbacchio.

obviously not as rude as usual. he’ll still make snippy comments at you as he sees fit, but he also offers praise (a concept that you’re not quite used to yet). with enough time, those snippy comments turn into teasing. ↳ “jesus, [Name], you want three shots? was Mista really that unbearable to partner with this week?”

once that happens, he’ll direct his comments to the others. he’s ruthless when it comes to insulting the others’ attempts at wooing you (especially if it’s Giorno). Narancia will be the first to object, calling him out on trying to impress you too.

he’ll just shrug when this happens. it’s not his fault that their motives are so apparent.

anyway, Abbacchio has always been the type to put the mission before anything else. but during a particularly rough stand battle, you notice that he made the extra effort to guarantee your safety. though you do try to confront him, he brushes it off. ↳ “we wouldn’t have been able to advance without you. fight harder next time so I don’t have to save your ass again.”

you can’t help but notice the slight pink on his cheeks. caught red-handed, it seems.

if you’re going on a mission by yourself, Abbacchio will take the time to stop you and wish you good luck. brief and straightforward, nothing too fancy.

he’s willing to do things if you ask. before he’d tell you to ask someone else, but now... he might scoff or sigh or do nothing at all, but he’ll still accept.

surprisingly, he becomes the most comfortable to be around when things get quiet. Abbacchio is a firm believer that strong relationships don’t need to have mindless chatter. if you don’t have anything to say, he won’t push it, and that’s okay. no awkward silences will come from him.

unofficial first date: he invites you back to his place after a meeting. it’s raining and he doesn’t live far. he would make you any drink you fancy, but would be especially amused if you requested alcohol. it’s a casual affair; talk a little, watch some TV if that’s your thing. would let you stay the night if you wanted to! he wouldn’t make it weird, though. he’d just make his bed for you while he takes the couch.

giorno giovanna.

he starts talking to you more than anyone else in the gang. you took Giorno as the kind of person who won’t speak unless spoken to during moments of peace, so to have him casually start conversation with you feels... odd. but not uncomfortable.

he’s not fond of fighting for your attention amongst the gang. hence, he tries to make small yet meaningful impressions on you. he’ll order your usual at Libeccio if you’re running late (you didn’t even tell him what it was, he picked up after countless meetings) or leave you your favorite dessert at your doorstep on your days off (he remembered it from an off-hand comment).

on that note, Giorno starts leaving little things around for you, such as a single flower on your desk. small gifts that he knows would make you happy, even if for a moment. he himself gets happy thinking about your smile.

he would compliment you if he found it appropriate (usually for your fighting), but now he compliments you on everything. just in quieter ways. ↳ “you coordinated this plan flawlessly, [Name]. I truly wonder if there’s anything you can’t do.”

surprisingly, he also starts teasing you. nothing major, he just starts being more friendly toward you. his nonchalant exterior melts for something more familiar. ↳ “you must really like the rain. that’s the third time this week you’ve forgotten an umbrella. it’s alright, though, I brought one for the both of us.”

he’s honestly a pro at handling Abbacchio’s accusations. he plays it cool, saying that you’ve both gotten closer lately. he emphasizes the “closer” part, though. it might be considered sadistic on his part, but he enjoys watching his superior get annoyed.

(which, of course, irritates Abbacchio a lot.)

unofficial first date: he asks you to accompany him to his campus; apparently his school has rare frog species in the bio labs and he needs to observe it “for reference.” walks you through the biology department and shares what he knows about each species present. he loves amusing you with neat little fun facts, but he loves seeing your face light up at the cute little creatures more.

guido mista.

he’s the first to compliment you. about anything, really. how well your new shirt fits you, how your skin looks a little brighter today. all of it is genuine, and all of it is to see you smile just from something that he said. Giorno comments that he’s being overbearing.

(he retaliates by saying that there’s no harm in being nice to another teammate. Mista tries to be nonchalant about it, but he’s actually embarrassed that he’s that easy to read.)

he’ll follow you around everywhere. if you say that you’re going to run to the corner store before the meeting starts, he’ll tag along. if you mention you’re going to Chiaia this weekend to go shopping, he’ll casually mention that he’s going there too and that you should meet up.

the Pistols start paying more attention to you. they’ll dance around your shoulders, play on your hands — anything to get your attention. Mista gets flustered when this happens and barks at them to come back. ↳ “oi, what the hell do you think you’re doing?! leave them alone!”

this rarely works, though.

(Mista never even gets the chance to confess that he loves you. the Pistols do it before he can. because of that, he would likely be the first to confess to you.)

he’s a sucker for pop culture. if he hasn’t watched it, he’ll tune in to any movie or TV show that you like. he’s desperate to get closer to you so there really isn’t a downside to this, even if he doesn’t like it. he’d then talk about it to you, discussing plot elements and whatnot. ↳ “whaaaa? okay, okay, okay. back up. so he purposely killed himself to force his kids to come together?”

unofficial first date: the most traditional out of the gang. he asks if you want to join him to watch a movie starring your favorite actor / actress. would pay for your ticket too, obviously. he tries to play it cool, though! just going as two friends.... yeah...... friends...... he won’t pull any funny business but he’d love to discuss your thoughts on the movie afterwards.

narancia ghirga.

Narancia is the most obvious about his feelings for you outside of Mista.

for one thing, he starts saving a seat for you next to him at Libeccio. Narancia gets defensive if anyone tries to take it. Bucciarati has to intervene by asking him to stop and let you sit wherever you want preferably next to Bucciarati himself.

likewise, he sits really close to you. like, shoulders-almost-touching close. he’d back away if you ask, however.

he’s bad at taking criticisms from the others (he would be the worst if it wasn’t for Fugo). if he gets called out by Bucciarati, he’ll sink in his seat and pout. if anyone else does it, he’ll challenge them and call them hypocrites. it’s an uncomfortable situation.

when that does happen, he’ll scoff and say that you should leave with him. ↳ “ugh, I can’t stand this place. c’mon, let’s go somewhere else.”

he’ll invite himself to your missions if he can beat Mista to it. insists that you need backup and that Aerosmith can guarantee your safety. after all, his stand is meant for detecting threats.

if he does manage to tag along, you notice that Narancia starts showing off during missions. not only does he fight more aggressively, he also has Aerosmith do all sorts of flashy moves.

he looks up to you so much. he sees you as a role model of sorts, often thinking what you would do in certain scenarios. it helps him rationalize situations and keep his cool under pressure. ↳ “okay. relax. what would [Name] do...?”

unofficial first date: he asks if you’d like to see something cool after shopping for snacks post-meeting. from there, he leads you to the rooftop of a nearby residential building. it’s a struggle to get up there since you have to climb an array of pipes and balconies to reach it, but he helps you up. it’s quiet on the roof, and you can peacefully talk about life with nothing but a couple sodas and the stars above you. 

pannacotta fugo.

always volunteers to drive you to your missions. any more time with you is time well spent. Mista catches onto this quickly and will promptly tease him anytime Fugo offers a ride.

on that note, he gets really defensive if someone teases him about wanting to spend more time with you. hands down, he’s the worst at handling others calling him out. it might trigger an outburst regardless if they were joking or not.

oddly enough, however, he immediately relaxes if you so much as clasp his shoulder. part of it is that your touch is so gentle he can ease up. part of it is he’s embarrassed for losing control in front of you. he gets flustered afterwards. ↳ “I’m sorry you had to see me like that. let’s move on.”

he’s more patient with you than the others. he hates repeating himself, but you notice that he doesn’t seem to make an issue when it comes to you (much to Narancia’s chagrin).

if you’re going on a mission by yourself, Fugo makes the effort to stop you before you head out. he’d ask that you be careful and that if you need any help to let him know. however, he tries to cover that up and say that he knows you’re capable.

likewise, he’s a lot more doting on you now. he’s the first to check up on you following a mission. if you’re hurt, he wouldn’t hesitate to tend to you (not before chastising you). ↳ “tch. I told you to be more careful, and this is how you respond? you really are hopeless... but I’m glad that this cut isn’t anything major.”

he detests how the others act around you. how Mista and Narancia are always inviting themselves to your missions, how Bucciarati is quick to walk you back home, how cool Abbacchio is around you despite his own feelings... Fugo wishes he could be more forward with you, but he knows that’s just not who he is.

unofficial first date: he asks you to accompany him to the archives of a library. it’s for “research” he claims, to look up something relevant for the next mission. he would show you all the dumb records that the library contains. he loves sharing something so small with you! but he loves it even more when he can make you laugh. feeling something other than anger is an event he can only experience with you.

For celebrate the release of the third game on mobile of the Professor Layton , I've decided to make some curiosity-hyphotesis points post 😉....after all...is what a gentlelady does 😉...

• SPOILER ALERT! : in the anime , Layton and Luke should be most grown up (Layton 60 years old,Luke 36 years old ) but at cause/thank to the cryogenic time machine-relic stones , both are stop to 49 years old (the age of the prof in ALL the games isn't totally confirmed but thank to the 4th game,the last spectre, Emmy say that Layton,become a prof.at the age of 27 years old) and 25 years old ;

•For the deep friendship fond that Clark has with Layton,much probably Layton is the godfather-stepuncle of Luke. A couple of hints of those points is that Layton see Luke also when was a newborn,if this aren't hints...I don't know what are then 😆.. ;

•Level-5 say that the outfit of Layton is black but in ALL the merchandising, is dark brown or brown...not dark..I think that someone to the Level-5 has make some confusing palette 😂 ;

•Luke;Katrielle and Hernest are the ONLY CHARACTERS (for the moment)that can understand animals language,or for the moment Katrielle and Hernest , only Sherl. This could be a hint on how is born this power : in the Charlie: all the dog going to Heaven movies,we discover that the people that can understand animals language,are the people that suffer very much in life. Much probably Clark during his childhood suffer much and when is grown up this power pass to Luke , for Kat and Hernest is the dissapear or death of someone of rilevant. We don't know if for the moment is only Sherl..could be also that Sherl was inside the laboratory where the bunny in the third game escape, or simple Sherl is a reference to Scooby-Doo origin talk. I mean that Sherl could be a discendent of a Annuki (Annunaki if I remember well) , a ancient Maya or near , gods that fuse himself with the animals for help the humans,and their direct discendents can obtain the power of talk or be understandable to the humans. Return of Clark and Luke power , could be that also for them there is something of magic-mysthyc...both could had a "angel power " I mean , generally only the angels can talk with the animals or someone pure heart but so pure heart of be considered " a angel heart " and then they obtain this power ;

• We know that Layton is very riserved with his feelings..but this could be happening after three trauma loss : Randall,his brother and Claire. After this loss, him could be become very shy for dodge other suffering but this wouldn't mean that him can't love the people near to him,has close his feelings for this reasons,at least for me ;

•In added at the fifth point, the ONLY PERSON that has saved the prof.at exit from his "privacy feelings ", is LUKE. Is true that the prof.cry for the first time with the separation from his brother when was very little..but this , togheter at the second and third loss, is the "begin". Luke with his transfer with the family , has finally do cry Layton. Only the most important people can make Layton cry,only the people that him really really care. Luke in someway has "saved the prof." From the suffering only other suffering can open him, is hurt and seem sad..but seem true. True , Claire with his re-death has a little open this "door" ,but only the nearest person to him , the only that has make quickly a deep fond with him..in less words , the only that after much time of inner suffering , where slowly Layton was again a open heart , could save him...and this person is Luke(after also Katrielle). For Layton , Luke is literally a stepson,the phrase " my boy" is an demonstration of fatherly-love. A person don't use this words with a light touch,specially a respectable (very shy)gentleman as Layton ;

•Katrielle is another that can make Layton cry ;

•Return to Kat,we know(WARNING SPOILER ALERT!!!!) that Luke has helped Kamilla to give her to birth , tecnically if Luke wasn't still too young and a london-american student , could raise Kat and become his stepfather , but Layton decide to take under his wing Katrielle how stepdaughter (with a little funny scene from Luke and Layton 😂). Anyway isn't so much surprising that Kat consider Luke an uncle(if this isn't another demonstration of deep fond of Layton for Luke...) ;

•pull off the top hat , the prof.height should be around 1.70,a little tall our professor eh 😂😂😂 ;

•In reality his real name is Theodore and not Hershel , the big brother Descole , give his name to him for be secure that at least him could be adopted by the family Layton's ;

•Him can ride very good a horse during the follow of the masked gentleman ;

•Him can play also very good the piano with the right hand , also if in some movie version she use the left hand , much probably could be ambidextrous ;

• in the second game , Layton say that is also a little appasionate of trains....hmm...what hide prof.😂😂😂😂?;

•Rosa for Katrielle is considered as a grandmother;

•Layton pull off his hat only in the very important situation/things , but when him and Luke enter in a Church in the Lady Layton anime , him don't pull off the hat..maybe has feel the REAL situation? But we have noticed that pull off the top hat when Claire "re-death" when Luke write an letter to him and in the Lady Layton anime opening,much probably after the event from the third game , finally him can move on ;

• The ending post credit let understand that the prof.has accepted the help request from Luke.In fact him is without his top hat , and smile at the window let understand that him know that there is a new adventure that wait only him;

•In the fourth game , the prof.say that there is a mystery that is dedicated only at him , much probably is the mystery on how Claire is dead ,because and who is become so "stubborn" by cause the incident , in fact in the third game we discover that after the incident the prof.start to investigate alone,but the bad guys , put in silence the prof.almost send him to the hospital,so for much time him has should give up...at least until the third game;

•Has really an bad memory with the people that help quickly 😂;

•For the prof. his dearest friend is Luke , the other are very good friends(Clark and Brenda),best friends (Randall,Angela and the other guy from the fifth game);

•How Luke , the prof.has auto-proclamated himself a true/good gentleman ,after that Claire give to him the top hat,and has still a young boy heart 😁;

•Him don't like much the sweet tea , prefer the bitter tea and the cucumber sandwich;

•Also if is a gentleman,isn't an very orderly person...is a little contradictory hahaha 😂;

•Rose is the only maid-friend that can scold him for this thing,like a second stepmother😅;

•In the anime we don't know what happened to the foster family of the prof.,at Clive and at Flora..much probably the foster family,Harnold and Lucille are dead,Clive is released and has pay for his mistakes (also if efectively isn't totally his fault..poor boy..) and for Flora,she much probably is return to S.Mystére for become more grown up to could marry the prof.or simple is inside a cooking school 😂;

•much people thinking that Luke was fall in love with Arianna or Flora but we see that at the end isn't so;

•Always on Luke,we discover in the anime that him is married with Marina , but we don't see any ring on her and on him , much probably they aren't still a married couple , but in the future they could decide to become wife and houseband,and how is really in love Marina with Luke,much probably she has said this thing,but for the moment they are only partner, also because c'mon! Luke don't say at Layton that him is very near to marriagrle and don't invite him😂?!?I don't think so. Also if an hyphotesis is that Luke for let Marina to study at London, they become partner/couple in law and after they decide to married in an Church,obviously with the prof invited;

• Emmy is the 3th grade cousin of Layton,in fact she call Bronev uncle Leon and the name Leon is the name of Bronev;

•The whole Lady Layton anime,let understand that is still based on the third game and the Azran Legacy.In fact , the relic stones are in reality pieces from this legacy but also from a meteor..then in the anime we understand also that the giant crystal on the sixth game is a giant relic stone;

•Luke outfit is a mix from Clive and the Targent,this wouldn't mean that him now is bad , but efectively are the two games that have left a big mark on him (Aurora death,and the unfair arrest of Clive) we could also count that is also a mix from his outfit from the fifth game.In added,him has a silver pocket clock like Claire,this is another hint that much probably the events from the third game have left a big mark on him also if we don't know because don't wear anymore his old hat but a fedora hat a bit tiny hahaha😂;

•Layton say that can't forgive himself if something of bad happen to Luke,but in change him bring Luke on the most danger situations....Ok 😂😂😂;

•Luke has fear of pre-death situations and ghost,much probably the first thing is born after the events from the fifth and sixth game,for the second is still unkown;

•We discover slowly that Layton has fear to lose someone of important for him,this is another reason of because is so reserved with his feelings with the people,but I repeat..this wouldn't mean that him don't care about them or don't love them;

•Also if Flora is the first stepdaughter , for some reason Layton hasn't make a adoption contract 😕;

•We don't know how Alphendi is the stepson of Layton;

•Level-5 say that Katrielle and Alphendi aren't linked,but in Lady Layton game and anime,we discovery that isn't so..then much probably they aren't LINKED on the adoption method;

•Layton know Luke when was a newborn,also if some phrases from different game languages , let understand that him know Luke when Brenda was pregnant,and him visit them when Luke was born..much probably in both occasion him see Luke but after this moments,untill the Spectre Flute,him isn't going to visit them;

• The reason of because him hasn't visit Triton family, begining from the third time and after a while babysitting at Luke , is because much probably is that when Luke is born,Claire incident is happen,and we know that for a period him investigate alone on this thing,in added with the University work and also for not put in danger also them ;

•From the third game and move on,Layton is very less strict with his gentleman attitude with Claire re-death , the transfer of Luke and with Katrielle. In fact him was so strict to the gentleman attitude at cause of the gift from Claire and what she said to him : " here ,with this hat you seem a TRUE GENTLEMAN ". Thank at the first two things , Layton finally can REALLY move on and open his heart;

• Layton is a very good swordsman , also if at the begining wasn't so;

• Him become a arcaheologist in honor to the "death" of the his best friend Randall,but at the begining him wasn't interested to the archeology;

•Thank to Lucille , we discover that Layton when was very little,fall asleep still with the outfit..a little attitude that him has bring also when is grown up😂;

•The Laytonmobile is the car that Harnold give to him;

•The timeline from the movie not is totally confirmed but some hyphotesis say that is between the first and the second game , meanwhile the timeline in the crossover with Phoenix Wright is 90% between the second and third game , or by some year from the sixth game or after the movie;

•Layton seem believe to the fairies when at the end of London Life say to Luke : " that some fairies told to him where was Flora " now this we don't know if was a joke from Layton or is real so;

• exist two novel book about the prof.Layton but they haven't see the light if not in digital version...mayne in the future?;

•the keychains on the Marina bag are gift from Luke to her if we count also that are the first trilogy and one of them is the most important (third game) ;

•Seem that before Luke travel for the transfer ,him and Layton make some photos togheter....awwwwwww 😍;

•After the events from the sixth game,Emmy work for the London Times...strangely in Layton anime she isn't mentioned or is posible see her;

•Some theories-hyphotesis say that Alphendi is the new Descole son,or Clive son,but for a strange reason him now is the stepson of Layton;

•Layton , also if at the beginig seem reluctant,hasn't ever say tue contrary when Luke say that is his best student and his aprentice. In fact also Kat say that uncle Luke is the aprentice of the father;

•Lucy seem had many traits with Luke : both have a legendary hungry and are very active how person 😂;

•A theory say that Lucy was the daughter of Luke;

●If Aldebaran(if I remember well the name) has an slowly grow for the age at cause of the relic stones...much probably also Layton and Luke;

•Layton this time ask directly at Luke for the help in the relic stones mystery and not the contrary when Luke ask directly to him to bring with him😍;

•Always on this,Layton finally acepted with most joy the hugs from the others(Luke and Kat),is always a hint that now is most open than before;

•The zodiac sign of the prof.Layton,thank to Emmy in the fourth game,is Capricorn and the people born under this sign:"have considerable tenacity and ambition, thanks to which they can successfully achieve their goals, have prudence, patience, reflection and self-control have considerable tenacity and ambition, thanks to which they can successfully achieve their goals, but unfortunaly they're also introverse and have often a evident pessimism and closure,in added this lead them to be often cold and suspicious of others"...seem really the prof.except for the last thing and the pessimism😟;

•Layton lose Claire the night when had give to her the pocket clock;

•the top hat was a birthday gift from Claire(hyphotesis);

• the day , when had received the top hat , was the same day that at the future dinner with her , would make the marriage proposal (second an hyphotesis);

•Layton has a deep trust on Luke;

•the surname Triton is in reality an anagram of the surname Layton;
