I'm not really picking happy ones for this huh? But Idk i feel Yanfei would vibe with helping people only to be forgotten or left behind. And well she's accepting of it and realizes it's part of her life as half adeptis, I think she's in a place where she's ok letting herself remember that sadness from time to time. I think she's the type to take all her emotions seriously and sadness and loneness are just important to her as happiness and joy. Tbh I almost pick Nostalgia for a similar reason.

I just had a two hour nap cause I was tired as shit- Anyway,I was spamming 🌺🪸🥀 as I does, and for whatever reason I was some how able to get her out of her comfort zone for shipping and we ended up with Scor(Scott and Scar) and Scango(Scott and Tango)(btw I came up with those names). And then a random quote turned into angst + comfort.

Scott not taking care of himself(Like every other fic ever- *gets shot*) so like Tango forces him to take care of himself by saying “time is fake, go to sleep” and just drags him to bed.

Saw this Reddit post about someone’s husband trying to khs but his wife(the poster) found out and stopped them.(Husband was trying to buy life threatening drugs, wife tells the dealer off) after that OP starts to show extra affection, even if it embarrasses OP or husband. Then like years or months later OP has a nightmare about husband dying, wakes husband up with the crying and then explains the nightmare and husband is like “why would that be bad?”, OP starts to explain how terrible it be if he died. And when I saw this, I was spamming 🌺🪸🥀 about how that is so Jimmy or Scar coded- So we’re doing Scar and Scott cause we more Scor in our lives.(I’ll force her to write some for this)

Setting up camp has become a ritual for the two of them now. Every night, No matter where they are, Scott chooses a spot and then Scar build a fire and cooks them dinner. He always cooks a little extra just incase. After they eat Scott sets up two sleeping bags. Then they crawl in, Stargaze for a little and fall asleep. Reminisce - Yan Kaeya x Reader

Kaeya is late, again.

You know he will come home drunk, and sigh. You would chastise him another day about it.

It is almost unnerving, the purpose in which the second-hand ticks. They appear to move at an ever-slowing speed, and you regard the time with apprehension. As the moonlit sky darkens and winds start to tear through the streets, you wonder if Kaeya could make it home before it rained.

You’d hate to say it, but you were worried. You'd scoff at yourself; say you'd gone soft.

The study could do with a little tidying, before he arrived. Sifting through old keepsakes and files, you come across something sharp. Instinctively pulling back an arm, you push aside everything in the drawer to inspect it further.

You see it for what it is, and laugh. It is a small wooden knife, barely longer than the length of your palm. The edge of the blade is rough and chipped, weathered down over the years.

You haven't seen it in years and presumed it long gone as a result. Just looking at it brought back plentiful memories.

Come on.

You trudge through the blizzard, boots weighed down by heavy snow, body weighted with exhaustion. The sense of urgency overwhelmed any physical limitations and capabilities. Arms numb, lips cracked but mind enduring, through all manner of trials and roadblocks. Just past the mountain…that's all. If your blood were to freeze and heart to falter let it be past the snow-capped mountain, where freedom lay.

Your foot jerks to a stop as you take a step forward and stumble. The string of a boot had caught on hidden brambles beneath the surface of snow. The little wooden knife hacks at the roots with a steady force and motion, mounting frustration rising from you. With what little resources were available you had carved out this blade, though tiny, it was imbued with rage and a fiery resolve for freedom.

Come on.

The fatigue was starting to take its toll. As the winds howl and whiteness clouds your line of sight, you think to yourself.

'This feels familiar.'

In the corner of your eyes, you spot a clear blue silhouette approaching, like a candle in the night. A saviour. The figure stops in their tracks, mere metres away from you, as if contemplating their next move.

"Please hel-" the coarseness of your voice surprises you, but the momentary shock pales in comparison to the next revelation. The stranger did not trudge through the snow. They strolled, as casually one would, in say, a grassy plain. They did not question you, nor aid you, stilling themselves in eerie consideration. No intrigue, no panic. You dan't look up because you know by instinct who the figure clad in blue is.

Contrary to your own belief, if everything up until now were taken with strict calculation, this would not be the moment you'd resign yourself over to fate. In truth you had long since given up, from the moment you awoke in his room, head pounding from the chemicals in your system. All that bravado, the talk of escape and freedom…it was merely to stave off the bitter reality of this situation.

With renewed strength, you screamed, of anger and sorrow, and of hopelessness and defeat. Knuckles whitening, you hold up the knife to his face as he crouches down to eye level. Even then you refused to look at him, offering what miniscule amount of defiance you had with the last shreds of pride remaining. It seemed as though even that small mercy was not granted, for he gripped your chin, forcing you to meet his eye…eyes. You let out a sinister laugh and aim for his neck.

"Where's your eyepatch, Captain?!"

The knife stopped mid-plunge. His grip on your wrist was like iron. The gravity of the situation sinks in, slowly, torturously. With the way Kaeya was staring, you felt an icy chill up your spine, borne out of more than just the cold. You slumped and let the weapon drop.

"Are you finished?" The tone of voice betrayed little emotion, and if anything he almost sounded irritated.

You did not want to cry. Truly. If crying was all you could do at that point…then what did that mean for your chances? But the tears fell anyway, and you gasped and sobbed into his coat, uncaring of the frost tearing away at flesh, or your dimming vision. Archons knew how long you two remained in that position.

In hindsight, that was a foolish move, from a health and safety perspective. A mere two days after the incident, you'd been struck with a prolonged high fever. Sorting the books on the shelf now, you mentally chide your past self for your thoughtlessness. Although, you are certain that the abnormal duration of the fever was partly due to the dubious medication Kaeya had fed you, in his at best surface-level knowledge of medicine. Still, you appreciate the effort he had put in for you. You could have gotten off much worse, could have been plagued with frostbite or pneumonia, and died right then and there. Now you learn to consider yourself lucky amongst others.

Nearly midnight. He still hasn't returned. Fiddling with the Kamera on the desk, you continue to reminisce. It was you who'd profusely requested…. ah…. begged, for one to entertain yourself in a mundane daily life, and it was you who'd played the role of a loving, obedient spouse for months before Kaeya brought one home for you, and yet again it was you who'd giddily snapped dozens of pictures within the hour.

Kaeya wouldn't admit it, but you know he finds this gadget worth the exorbitant price he forked out for it (Or rather, the premium version you longed for). There are several photographs of you and him he keeps securely hidden under his desk, and he's under the impression you are not aware. Additionally, Kaeya seems to enjoy watching you partake in hobbies that excite you. Whether out of amusement, adoration or observation purposes, you don't know.

Huh. You don't really think Kaeya would have been that much against the idea of having a Kamera in the first place. Now that the thought comes to mind…it does seem characteristic of him to take advantage of your fixation on it to receive several months’ worth of affections from you. You furrow your brows in slight annoyance.

That bastard.

His drawer is surprisingly messy. Pens and trinkets are strewn all over, rendering looking for any specific item a hassle.

"Ah-" your hand ghosts over a pencil. How odd. It appears glued to the bottom of the drawer. Your pulse quickens by a margin as you realise the implications of this, and you rap at the wood.

A false bottom.

The temptation to uncover it is great, and though the phase of rebellion has long since subsided…

No matter how much you try, you cannot justify the act of looking through someone's personal stash, but morality has no place here, not when there are secrets to be found. So the wood is lifted, and you find a wide, low box. Its pristine condition is a testament to its endurance to the test of time. Inside you discover a picture frame, displaying a photograph of you and Kaeya. You recognise it as the very first you had taken with the newly obtained Kamera. So he does treasure small things like this.

Yet, as you feel yourself choke up a little, you become aware of the hypocrisy of the statement.

The second thing you find is also a photo frame, but it does not hold any photograph. It is a sketch, paper browning at the edges. You squint to make it out in the dim light of the room. It's a portrait of a man, a woman and a little boy standing between the two. The man, even in a drawing, looks sunken with emotional exhaustion. His wife appears soulless. Only (as you presumed) their son smiles, a glint of innocence in his wide eyes and ruffled blue hair. There is writing at the back of the paper, depicted in symbols and runes you do not understand.

Your lips feel dry. The front door opens and you hastily restore the items in their original position.

"Welcome home."

Kaeya nods. "I hope you aren't planning to stab me with that." He gestures to the wooden knife on the table.

"Ah…this? Doesn't it feel nostalgic?"

Moonlight filters in through the windows. You are certain Kaeya is awake.

"Kaeya."

"..."

"I know you can hear me."

"Can't a man enjoy his well-deserved sleep?

"I-" You stop dead. Should one inquire as to things that do not concern him? Would there be a reason he has not yet chosen to outright reveal his secrets?

"Anything, sweetheart?" He seems far more smug than he should be, this late into the night.

"Uh…how was your day?" Real nice save. Real smooth.

Kaeya pauses for a split second. He knows something is up. He doesn't ask further, to your surprise.

"Well," he speaks slowly. "Let's start from the moment I arrive at work."

You groan. "You're going to talk for another hour."

"You asked."

Silence.

"You let me find out myself, didn't you?"

"What on earth do you mean?" Faux innocence. But his voice holds no playful lilt, nor teasing edge.

"Nothing. What happened after you came to work?"
