A little Cubs engagement fic I wrote inspired by @lumosinlove and their amazing OCs. Haz, thank you for this wonderful universe! Go Lions! (And Bruins) đŸŠđŸ»
Leo let out a groan as he stretched in the mid-morning light coming through their curtains, their bedroom warm and a bit stuffy from the summer heat. He felt Logan’s soft hair on his chest, bobbing a little bit with the movement of him arching his back. Logan’s breath was coming out in soft puffs against his pecs, and Leo heard the hitch that signaled he was waking up. Leo smiled, eyes still closed, and felt a hand scratch through his hair.
“Morning, baby.”
Leo turned to look at Finn, who was propped up against some pillows, book in hand and his glasses perched on the end of his nose. He continued carding Leo’s hair back from his head, and Leo tilted his face to kiss his palm gently. “Hi.”
Finn breathed out a soft laugh, pushed his glasses up, then turned to look down at Logan, moving his hand down to rub at Logan’s back. “Up and at ‘em, Tremblay.”
Logan scrunched his eyes and buried his face further into Leo. “Non,” he grumbled. “Nous sommes en vacances. Vacation.”
Finn just laughed, setting his book aside and scooting down the bed to prop his chin on Logan’s strong back muscles. “Breakfast. Gym time. Training.”
“Non.”
“Yon. Professional athletes. We still gotta work out during the summer.”
Logan just groaned even louder, but sighed happily as Finn began peppering kisses down his back, working his way down to the dip of Logan’s waist where the sheets were pooled. “Ouais, feels good, rouge.”
Finn just looked up at Leo, grinning with a glint in his eye, and bit at the fleshy bit of Logan’s skin just beside his spine. Logan hissed, and finally looked up, turning his green eyes on Leo’s face. Leo just bit his lip, grinning, and reached his hand down to press the pad of his thumb to Logan’s mouth, catching on his full lower lip. “Hi, sweetheart.”
Logan closed his eyes and smiled dreamily for a moment, before wiggling his way out of the sheets and scrambling up to straddle Leo’s lap. Leo laughed, opening his arms and letting Logan all but flop down on top of him, tucking his face into his neck where his dark hair was curling as he grew it out. Logan sighed deeply, pressing his lips to Leo’s neck, then reaching one arm behind him. “Fish, ici.”
Finn scoffed, but complied, straddling Leo’s knees and lower thighs and wrapping his arms around Logan’s waist. “Man oh man, you are a bossy one, aren’t you?”
“Non.”
“Uh huh, yon.”
Leo could feel Logan’s grin against his neck, and looked over Logan’s shoulder to Finn, who had been leaning his head against Logan’s hair. He looked up to meet Leo’s eyes, then smiled at him. Leo only had just enough time to smile back before Finn was leaning in and kissing him softly. “Howdy, nutter butter baby.”
Leo just looked at him. “Love you.”
That made Finn really smile, bright and giddy, and he leaned in to kiss Leo harder, firmer. They were abruptly split apart by Logan moving his head back, twisting his torso around and reaching back with his right hand to cup the back of Finn’s neck. He looked between the two of them briefly, kissing Finn gently, then turning to Leo and kissing him short and hard. “Je vous aime.”
A noise escaped Finn that was a mixture of a laugh and a groan, and he suddenly launched himself forward, crushing Logan into Leo’s chest, causing them all to laugh. “What is this, ‘make Finn cry morning’? Stop looking at me like that, holy moley.”
“Oh?” Leo teased.
Finn rolled his eyes. “Not really, but think of my poor heart right now, Knut.”
Leo snorted. “Last name. Guess I’m in real trouble.”
Logan peeked out at him from under his eyelashes. “That sounds like fun.”
Finn patted his hip. “It might just be, Tremblay.” He sat up and rolled out of the bed, his long, summer-freckled torso on display as he stretched. Logan and Leo just watched him. “Alright, now it’s really time to seize the day.” He turned to look at them, his face softening. “Seriously, you keep looking at me like that and we aren’t making it to the gym.”
Logan just looked at him while biting just beside Leo’s nipple, making Leo jump a little in shock. “Lo, we gotta go,” he chastised gently.
“Non.”
“Yes, ouais, we do.”
“Ways, babes, let’s go.”
Logan just grumbled at Finn’s French, pushing himself up on his elbows, kissing Leo and rolling out of his bed. “CafĂ©.”
Finn slipped his arms around Logan’s waist, giving his butt a firm pat and a squeeze. “You don’t deserve to call your sugar monstrosity coffee, baby, but I love the spirit.”
Logan rolled his eyes so hard they almost went back into his skull, but he reached up and squeezed Finn’s cheeks anyways. “C’est du cafe.”
Finn narrowed his eyes but accepted Logan’s kiss anyways, his forehead relaxing. They pulled apart, and looked back at Leo, Finn extending his hand. “Le, you coming?”
Leo nodded. “Just a sec, gonna put clothes on.”
Logan tilted his head, giving Leo’s body a once-over. “You don’t need clothes for breakfast. Mais tu es dĂ©jĂ  magnifique.”
Leo blushed, but stood to go over to their dresser. “Yeah, but you know how I feel about my bare feet on the floors. I’ll be two minutes.”
Logan seemed to decide this was acceptable and grabbed Finn’s hand, walking out to the kitchen. Leo stood there for a minute staring at the drawers, listening to the coffee machine start up and Logan and Finn’s gentle conversation. He bit his bottom lip and rung his hands briefly, opening up his drawer and bypassing all the socks in the front, reaching back for a pair of blue wool socks Logan had bought him last winter from a wool shop in New York. They’d arrived in a package, along with a green pair, a red pair, and a note that had said, "Found these when I went out shopping with Alex. They’re handmade by a woman from Patagonia, she owns the shop. I know how much you love handmade things, and how your feet get cold in the winter. Je t’aime, mon couer." Leo had cried when he received them, in the middle of the hockey season in February, only having seen Logan for a few days over Christmas and New Year’s, and briefly during the All Star break. That was always the worst part of the season, the stretch of months in between holidays and summer, where they didn’t have many spare moments to visit one another. It never got any easier, even after managing it for a few years now. Missing Logan was a constant ache, a piece of him and Finn not very far, technically speaking, but not present all the same. Video calls, phone calls, and packages were all well and good, but it would never compare to the feeling of Logan waking up on his chest, of Finn’s arms reaching across to hold both of their bodies. Leo guessed he could only feel lucky to have such a loving, tender ache- not everybody got that. Sometimes he wanted to cup that feeling and pull it close to his chest, where he could guard it and keep it warm and light.
Unraveling the pair of socks, he let the black ring box tumble out into his hand. He opened the lid, taking out the two rings to examine them. Finn’s- rose-gold that would match his hair, the woman had said at the store- was engraved with stars around the band; Leo could still remember the rush he felt the first time he kissed Finn on the balcony, and looked up at the fake plastic stars that were somehow still stuck to their ceiling; a surprise from Finn a few years ago, about two weeks after they started dating. He had walked into the apartment to find Leo cooking at the stove, Logan standing behind him with his arms around Leo’s waist, and held up the bag with such a big smile that Leo had almost melted right then and there. They’d eaten and then spent probably far too long putting the stars up on the ceiling, Logan insisting that they try to accurately replicate the Leo constellation. That had been one of Leo’s free-fall moments, as he liked to call them: those moments where he knew he was already in love, even if it was far too early to say it yet.
Shaking himself out of his reverie, he looked back down at the rings, rubbing his thumb over Logan’s. The silver matched his necklace, the fleur-de-lis engravings reflecting his ties to the language he used to love them. In the quietest, most tender moments, even if Finn had no idea what he was saying, he always was gentle when he talked to them in French. Often, when Leo couldn’t sleep, they would both just talk to one another, quietly in the dark. In those tired moments, and in the most difficult ones, it was always harder for Logan to express how he was feeling in English, even though he had been speaking it consistently for years now. Leo cherished that trust, that vulnerability that Logan shared with him more than he could ever put into words, in either language. He would just respond to Logan likewise, kiss his hand, brush his hair back from his face, and get so lost in his deep green eyes he wondered how he would ever get back out- or if he would ever want to. The only shame in getting completely lost in Logan’s eyes would be the fact that, if he did that, he wouldn’t be able to look at Finn’s. He supposed having two pairs of eyes to get lost in forever wasn’t so bad.
They had plans to go out to dinner the following night, at the really nice vegetarian-vegan place Leo had discovered a few months back. Then he was going to take them back to the apartment, where he would make them strawberry shortcake and get down on one knee- and hopefully make them his forever. Not that they already weren’t, but Leo wanted the ceremony, the vows, he wanted his mama and his dad there- he wanted to kiss them and feel that adrenaline of a life-long promise, regardless of the presence of others, and he wanted to dance with them, and take them to bed after-
He inhaled sharply at the last image, his cheeks heating up as he stuffed the rings back in their box and into the socks, shoving them to the back of the drawer. He then pulled on some ankle socks and grabbed some workout clothes from the closet. Logan would probably pout about the fact that he couldn’t press kisses to Leo’s bare chest over breakfast, but Leo didn’t want them thinking he had spent all this time in here just putting on socks. As if on cue, he heard footsteps coming down the hallway and Finn’s tell-tale rhythmic rap of his knuckles on the doorframe. “Le? You alright?”
Leo turned and looked at him, lean body on display, a bit softer from the summer, but still strong. His hands- which Logan and Leo had both agreed that they could stare at forever- were clutching onto the doorframe, making the veins in his forearms strain slightly. Leo bit his lip and smiled, making Finn smile, which quickly turned to confused surprise as Leo rushed forward and gripped his face hard between his palms, kissing him soundly. Leo felt Finn relax and make a soft noise, arms slipping around his waist as he indulged in Leo’s mouth insistently.
“Hey!” came Logan’s voice. “Ce qui se passe? Am I missing something?”
Leo grinned as he pulled away from Finn, who still had a look of surprise on his face. “What-”
Leo just silenced him with another hard kiss and passed him on the way to the kitchen. Logan was sat at the stools by their counter, eyes narrowed playfully and hands clutched around his coffee mug. “Quoi?”
Leo approached him and wrapped Logan’s legs around his waist as Logan’s arms went around his neck. “Quoi? Tu veux des bisous?”
“Ouais, mais-”
Leo didn’t wait for him to finish, lifting Logan up from the seat from underneath his thighs, causing him to let out a laugh in surprise, which was quickly quieted by Leo’s mouth. Logan let out a groan, a little more wanting than Finn’s had been, and tangled his fingers in Leo’s hair indulgently as his legs tightened around Leo’s waist. Leo could feel that simmering fire, always present beneath Logan’s skin, making its way to the surface. He broke their kiss before it became too heady, their lips breaking apart with a light sound. Logan just looked at Leo, eyes flitting rapidly around his face before breaking out into a devilish smile, eyebrows raised.
“Jesus,” came Finn’s voice, a little breathless. “Jesus, Leo. Logan. You two drive me crazy.”
Leo just laughed, depositing Logan back into his chair and scooting around to the fridge to get out ingredients for breakfast. “Come on, y’all, the day awaits us.”
Finn scoffed at Leo’s teasing tone, but went to stand behind Logan with his arms draped over his shoulders, both of them watching Leo’s back as he moved around the kitchen. Leo just smiled to himself where they couldn’t see him, and went about whisking their eggs.
***
Sometimes, Logan would be with Finn and Leo and would wonder if he was actually living in a dream. He would just look at them, at Finn’s bright smile and capable hands that held him the way he liked, at Leo’s soft hair and gentle eyes that always seemed to understand him, and he’d just want to melt. Or fall at their feet, and worship them. Or shatter, overwhelmed by his love for them, their love for him, after so long of feeling like he would never be brave enough to love them the way they deserved. And they deserved everything. If he was dreaming, he decided, he would do everything in his power to stay asleep.
They had talked about getting married before, and their future in general, late at night. The past few years, it had mostly been over FaceTime, Logan feeling like he was oceans away from them in New York, even if it was only just three hours. Still, the hockey season kept them busy, and they clung hard to the few times during the season where they could see each other. More often than not, once or twice a month they found time to see each other for a brief thirty-six hour trip in either New York or Gryffindor, but that got hard in the late winter and spring, when the playoffs were approaching. Those months always, for some reason, sparked more and more conversations about their post-hockey life, about their future as a relationship, as a family. Maybe it was because they felt each other’s absence so distinctly in those moments, or maybe because they thought that, deep down, if they were married, if their relationship was somehow more ‘tied-down’ than it already was, then they could convince the league to not split them up- even though that was highly unlikely. They had pondered it, multiple times, sometimes with tears because it hurt so bad, to love so hard and not be near one another; most of the time though, it was with smiles, Finn describing the perfect garden he would build for Leo, and Leo fantasizing about the large kitchen he wanted and enough guest rooms so that ‘all the Tremblays could stay over at once, and the O’Hara’s and the Knut’s, too’. Logan, more often than not, imagined a dog bed and going to a rescue shelter to find one of those mutts Leo liked to pet in the street, and a swingset, and a big bedroom in a house in the quiet part of town, so Finn could go to bed early undisturbed and Leo maybe wouldn’t have as much trouble sleeping.
For all the times they had talked about getting married, there were only a few times that they had talked about it within the context of them playing on two different teams. Leo had broached the conversation one night, in Logan’s New York apartment, after a regular season game had gone into overtime. Logan thought Leo always looked so good on the ice, with his piercing blue eyes following Logan’s every move. He had felt Finn breathing down his neck a few times against the boards, and it took everything in him not to groan, throw his helmet off, and kiss Finn then and there, hockey be damned. Those games always got Logan’s adrenaline running harder than anything, and afterwards it was only a matter of time before he was ushering Leo and Finn out of Madison Square Garden, or out of the bar where they were with the Lions or the Rangers, and into his apartment, into his bed. Clothes were stripped off, sometimes fast and aggressive, sometimes slow and teasing if Leo and Finn had their way, but always with that gentle reverence, even in the rougher, more grounding touches that Logan loved so much. And with their skin warm against his, their voices in his ear, Finn’s smirk in his eyeline and Leo’s, frankly dangerous, mouth against his thighs, Logan was able to float away for a few hours, with nothing but them, his boys. And they were all his, there with him to overwhelm him and themselves with pleasure and love so blinding he knew, he knew he would forever be changed because he met them, because he loved them, because he got to keep them forever.
It was after one of those nights, when Logan’s desire had finally been satiated- admittedly long after Finn and Leo’s, who had had to resort to just their mouths and hands to finally satisfy him- that Leo had rolled himself over and tucked his face into Logan’s neck, his body heavy on top of Logan’s, peeking out at the both of him with his devastating blue eyes.
“I think I want to get married before we retire.”
Finn, who had been busy stroking up and down Logan’s chest, whose breathing was still heavy in the intensity of his afterglow, abruptly looked up at Leo. “What do you mean, sunshine?”
Leo didn’t answer right away. Logan and Leo were alike in that way, sometimes- in the heaviest moments, it always took them a moment to collect their thoughts. Leo was always more articulate and insightful than Logan was, though. Both Finn and Logan loved that about him, his ability to think so deeply about the most cherished parts of his life. Logan just pushed his nose into Leo’s golden curls, kissing him once, twice, and a third time, holding his lips there and closing his eyes briefly, then glancing at Finn with his mouth still in Leo’s hair. Finally, Leo took a deep breath.
“I just mean
I don’t want to wait for all of us to retire to get married.” He then whimpered slightly and looked away, nose pushing into Logan’s chest.
Finn looked slightly panicked at Leo’s abrupt distress, and climbed over to lay on his stomach beside him, tucking his chin over Leo’s shoulder. “Wow, hey, Le, it’s okay.” When Leo just let out a shaky breath, Finn shook him gently with an arm thrown over his waist. “Leo, Leo, baby, it’s okay. Don’t cry, it’s okay.” He took a deep breath. “I mean, you’re talking about us getting married, there’s nothing that would make me happier than that, quite frankly.”
Leo snorted a little bit at Finn’s humor, but his nose still sounded blocked up. He lifted his head, and Logan saw his eyes bright with tears, a few tracks running down his cheeks. Logan cupped his face tenderly, leaning down to touch their noses together. “Oh, mon soleil, qu'est-ce qui s’est passĂ©?”
“No, nothing, it’s just
I mean, not nothing, I just
” Leo took a shaky breath, and Finn and Logan wrapped him up tighter. “I mean, I know that, Lo, you’re spoken for in New York for a while longer, and Finn and I are going to be in Gryffindor. And I know that even that could change, and I know that it’d be hard, but
” Leo paused, looking at the two of them carefully, so gently that Logan almost could feel himself drowning in him. “I want to marry you two. And I don’t want to wait for hockey to- to let us do that, you know? I don’t want it to be on the league’s terms, I want it to be on ours, and I want to marry you.” Logan held his breath at the last statement, and he thought Finn did, too, by the way in which his throat was bobbing slowly, mouth closed. “I want to marry you. And it’s not ‘just because’, or because it’s just ‘the next step’,” Leo continued, rolling his eyes slightly at himself. “I want to marry you because I want to make that promise to you both. You’re already mine in all the ways that are important, and that matter, but I want that- that unity that comes with the concept of marriage. And I also-” he paused, chewing his lip. “I want to take something that historically hasn’t been meant for us, and make it for us, you know?”
That last part made Logan freeze. Leo had always been much more open and involved in that way in the community than he and Finn had. It was important, for Leo, to always be thinking of the bigger picture. Over the years since they had come out, he had made every effort to take part in the NHL Pride nights, to try and encourage minority youth in hockey, to go and coach training camps and pay for gear to be provided in under-funded communities. Finn and Logan had, of course, gone with him, but it was Leo who had taken the initiative, who had come crying to them one night after a 12-year-old girl had asked him to sign a puck, telling him he was her favorite player, that she played goalie, too, that her and her older sister had painted her goalie pads rainbow colored after she came out to her family. So it made sense, that Leo, laying on them and crying about how much he wanted them, had a desire to challenge the institution of marriage in a very Leo way- with gentleness, with love. Logan sometimes didn’t know what to do with the way Leo carried himself with so much heart- Finn, too.
Finn bit his lip, a little tearful, but smiling. Suddenly, he raised himself onto his knees. “Sit up.”
Logan furrowed his eyebrows, and Leo lifted his face and stared, his mouth slightly ajar. “What?”
“You heard me,” Finn continued, grinning even wider now. It did pretty things to Finn’s freckles, when he smiled like that. “Uppity up, up you get, come sit across from me. Lo, you, too.”
“Finn, I-”
“Leonardonius, I swear, just trust me, and sit up.”
Logan and Leo complied, Leo sitting cross-legged, Logan with his legs sprawled, one draping over Finn’s, and leaning into Leo’s side.
Suddenly, Leo’s eyes widened. “Finn, are you-”
Finn waved his hand. “No, no I’m not proposing
yet.” He gave them each a pointed look. “I just didn’t want you crying over something that, frankly, does not deserve for you to be sad over.” He paused, leaning over to brush his thumbs under Leo’s eyes with a kiss to his nose. “Even though you still look very pretty when you cry.” That got Leo to smile, and his posture relaxed slightly, putting more of his weight on Logan.
Logan shuffled a bit, nudging Finn’s thigh gently with his foot. “Allez, rouge, what is it?”
Finn had a hand on each of them, his palms running up and down Logan’s calf and Leo’s knee. “I’ve thought a lot about us, recently. Getting married, that is.” He tilted his head, smiling at them. “I want us to get married, and I think that, if we want to do it before we all retire, I’d like that. I- I think that, like what Leo said
I want you in that way before we retire. And then after, or after at least one of us does retire
” He paused, sniffling slightly. This time, Leo leaned forward and brushed a thumb under his eye. “Maybe we get a house? And- and a tiny human? Or two? Or three, we could be matching. Three dads, three kids, ya know? And a dog, and maybe even chickens! I bet you’d love the fresh eggs, Le, and Lo, baby, you’d look so sexy raking leaves in our back yard, in overalls and plaid, like our very own lumberjack-”
Logan couldn’t take it anymore; he burst out laughing, leaning forward and tackling Finn onto the bed, kissing all over his face. Finn was laughing, too, arms and legs wrapped around him, and Logan felt a warm palm stroking up and down his back. Leo.
Logan scrambled up, forcing his way into Leo’s lap and kissing all over his face, too, until Finn dragged Leo’s face to his for a deep kiss of his own, ending in a burst of kisses to Leo’s cheek. They were all smiling so hard, those kinds of smiles that hurt their cheeks and scrunched Leo and Finn’s noses in the most adorable way. They were kissing each other, and smiling, and laughing, and Logan thought that if this was how happy they were when they just talked about proposing, and marriage, he couldn’t imagine how happy he would feel when it actually happened.
That had been March, three months ago, before the playoffs. Logan was almost thankful that they had each gotten knocked out in the second round, so as not to have to play one another, but mostly because Logan, perhaps selfishly, savored these long summers more than he could put into words. After all, he wanted to spend more than one night engaged to them before parting ways to go back to his New York apartment. He wanted to bask in that love for months before the season inevitably pulled them apart again. And he wanted to propose to them in their home. His apartment in the city was nice, sure, but it held nothing on what they had created in Gryffindor: the blanket Leo’s mom had made them slung over the sofa, Finn’s books stacked on every available table surface, Leo’s pan collection hanging in the kitchen, the herb garden by the window that Finn painstakingly took care of. Logan wanted to ask them to marry him where they fell in love, where he kissed Leo for the first time, where he and Finn began their middle-of-the-night whiskey tradition again, where he made love to them for the first time, all together, insatiable and high on how in love they were.
The late afternoon sun shone through slightly dusty, stained-glass windows as they were finishing up at the local book store, after having gone to their weights session and then spent the rest of the day wandering around the city. They had gone to the park, where Finn had sat up against a tree and let Logan lay his head in his lap, Leo sprawled beside him on a blanket, the both of them listening as Finn read to them from his and Leo’s latest novel. After finishing the last chapter, Leo had suggested they go to their favorite second-hand book store, which Finn had readily agreed with. Logan was just happy to follow them and listen to them bicker gently over plots, characters, thematic elements- it didn’t matter what they were talking about, really. Logan just loved to be surrounded by their voices.
Now, he listened and watched as the light from the stained glass casted a purplish hue on Leo’s golden hair, which captured and reflected the color so well. They both looked so good, Leo with a casual white short-sleeved button down and peach shorts, Logan’s fleur-de-lis against his strong, tan chest; Finn with a green long-sleeved shirt, open at the collar and made from some ultra-light, wicking material he had taken to recently, and denim shorts, which he had definitely had since college. Leo said something to Finn, which made him turn to Leo, that look of slightly surprised amusement on his face appearing like it always did when Leo said something snarky to someone. He was good at catching people off guard, his wit so sharp in contrast to his normally gentle and sweet disposition. It seemed he had caught Finn particularly by surprise this time, because it took Finn a second to process what he had said before bursting out laughing so hard he had to close his eyes. He turned his face into Leo’s neck, snorting, and pressed two hard kisses to his skin, one to his neck and one to his cheek. Leo turned his face so his nose brushed Finn’s ear, giggling in his ear. Logan felt like he could look at them forever, immortalized in this moment with their laughter and their smiles.
He looked down at himself for a brief moment, at the rust-colored shirt Finn had once told him looked good on him a few years ago, in New York, and at his black shorts Leo had once unzipped with his teeth, claiming that they ‘revealed way too much leg, sweetheart, it’s indecent’. Sometimes, Logan wondered how he even compared with their beauty; yes, he knew he was attractive by conventional standards, but beauty was more than that. He was a bit sullen, quiet and intimidating at first, and stared hard at everyone without realizing it. Finn and Leo were effortlessly beautiful in their mannerisms; Finn walked into a room with a smile so wide it drew people to him, Logan no exception, and there was no other way to describe Leo other than that the sun followed him. Or maybe he was the sun- he was certainly Logan’s. He couldn’t compete with that, would never be able to. It wasn’t so much an insecurity, per se, but more of an awe at the way that his boys carried themselves, how they carried him with them, how their beauty somehow included him in its sphere without singling him out. He existed simultaneously alongside it and within it, and at the center of it all was this infinite amount of love circulating him, drowning him, allowing him to exist in the same plane as them forever and ever. Logan at the same time was overwhelmed by it and knew exactly what to do to keep it close. They gave him their love and their beauty, and he in return gave them his, in his own way.
Logan hadn’t realized he had been spacing out staring at them until Leo’s face appeared in front of his, brow furrowed. “You okay, sweetheart?”
Logan shook his head briefly. “Ouais, mon couer.” He brought his hand up to Leo’s cheek, and Leo placed his hand over his. “Tu es si beau.”
That brought a blush to Leo’s cheeks, and he squeezed Logan’s hand and bent down to kiss the top of his head a bit bashfully. Logan reached a hand up to scratch his neck, holding him there for a moment. He then felt another presence at his side, an arm around each him and Leo. Finn.
“Hey, hey, there, baby. My baby, hi.”
Logan smiled at Finn’s rambling, at the kiss he pressed to Logan’s cheek. “Rouge.”
Finn’s body relaxed like it always did when Logan called him that, his head turning to rest right next to Leo’s on top of Logan’s. Leo still had his nose in Logan’s hair, all three of them still and embracing in the quiet, emptying book store.
Truth be told, Logan knew that they had all felt the shift since that conversation in Logan’s New York apartment. They held each other with a similar giddy, insatiable grip to the one they had when they first started dating. Now though, it was deeper, more developed, with stronger bones, and somehow more passionate than it had ever been. Logan had thought it had been because the season had finally ended and they were all together again, but now he realized it wasn’t just that. They sometimes loved so fiercely, yet so gently, that it was almost like whiplash. They were unsettled, but not in the way that would knock them off kilter. No, they were unsettled in the way that meant they were ready for more. They were aching for it, and Logan knew that he would have to do something about it.
Tomorrow, after they had dinner at the new vegetarian-vegan place that Leo loved, he would bring them back to the apartment, their favorite chocolate cake from the local restaurant down the street waiting in the fridge, maybe some wine- and Logan would get down on one knee and ask them to be his.
***
Leo was just finishing putting the finishing touches on their supper when he felt two hands grab at his hips. “You need any help finishing up here, baby?”
Leo turned and pressed a kiss to Finn’s head. “No, sweetheart, but thank you. Just finishing off the steak with some butter and herbs, and the roasted veggies are in the oven staying warm.” He shut off the stove and set the steak on the wooden steak board to rest. He stuck a thermometer in. Perfectly medium rare. He thought for a second, then turned around and draped his arms over Finn’s shoulders. Finn was in an old blue knit sweater of Leo’s, and he looked adorably soft in the cool summer night. “You and Lo set the table for me? There are some nice candles my mama sent us from the market, you could light them, if you wanted?”
Finn wiggled his eyebrows. “You trying to romance us, or something? Trying to take us to bed later?”
Leo snorted. “Something like that.” He jerked his head. “Go on, get Lo, he’s in our room getting a sweatshirt. I’ll just let the steak rest and bring it out.” He pressed a kiss to Finn’s mouth and turned back towards dinner, smiling to himself. God, he could hardly wait for tomorrow. But tonight, he wanted to enjoy this last night of them hanging on this precipice, basking in the anticipation of being engaged, even if neither of his boys knew.
***
Logan could hear both Finn and Leo talking in the kitchen from where he was in the bedroom, pulling Finn’s dark gray, almost black, crewneck sweatshirt over his head. Finn had just been in to grab Leo’s sweater, and had left smelling like a mixture of himself and Leo, combining and making Logan’s head feel dizzy. Now, he knew that he smelled like himself and Finn, and reached for Leo’s cologne on the dresser to spray a little on the neckline of the sweatshirt. Perfect.
As he set the bottle back down, his sock drawer caught his eye. Buried in the back, wrapped in one of his beanies, was the box with Leo and Finn’s rings. Unable to resist the temptation, he briefly glanced at the kitchen, seeing Finn walk up to put his hands on Leo’s hips, and opened the drawer. God, they were so gorgeous, and they’d look even more so with these rings on their fingers.
Logan opened the box, running his thumb briefly over both of them. Leo’s was pure gold, with a small blue sapphire, slightly deeper than his eyes, embedded in the band, soleil inscribed on the inside. Finn’s was a rose-gold- the lady at the shop said the particular shade would match his hair- and a dark champagne diamond- the lady said it would match his eyes. Rouge was inscripted on the inside of his. Logan peeked out at the kitchen again, and saw Finn, all cozy in Leo’s sweater, and Leo, now in Finn's old Harvard sweatshirt, with his blond curls, kissing each other so gently and smiling so lovingly. Logan ran his thumb over the rings one more time before they could catch him, looked down at them, and then closed the box as he heard Finn summon him to set the table.
***
Supper, Leo had to admit, had been a roaring success. He loved having time in the off season to finally cook how he wanted, to take his full time with recipes. He deserved it, the food deserved it, and his boys certainly did. Afterwards, his boys had batted his hands away as he tried to clear the table, and cleaned the kitchen with light-hearted chatter. Leo, a glass of red wine in front of him, was content to just watch and participate from the sidelines. Especially if it meant that one of his boys would lean over- Finn much more easily than Logan, no matter how much Logan grumbled that he was not that short- and kiss him on the forehead. Eventually, they finished up, Logan coming to sit beside Leo at one of the stools, Finn standing across the counter from them, both with a glass in their hands, looking delicate and breakable compared to their strong fingers.
Finn looked at him, taking a sip from his glass and peering out over the rim. “Thank you for dinner, nutter butter, it was delicious.”
Leo smiled, cheeks heating up like they did every time one of them complimented him so blatantly. “Thank you.”
Finn just smiled brighter, and reached across to pinch his cheek. “Aw, look at you, so rosy. You’re so pretty, peanut.”
Logan pressed up against Leo’s other side, placing a wet kiss on this cheek. “Ouais, mon soleil, tres mignon.” He looked across at Finn, reaching across to grab at his hand. “Et toi, mon rouge. Si beau.” Finn just took Logan’s hand and kissed it, gazing up through his eyelashes.
Leo watched in adoration, until suddenly Logan got a strange look on his face. It was nervous, sheepish, but he was also biting his lip in excitement. Leo saw Finn straighten up and squeeze Logan’s hand harder. “Lo?”
Logan stood up and tugged on Finn’s hand. “Viens ici.”
Finn came around the counter, allowing Logan to push him into the seat beside Leo. He took both of their hands, kissed each of them. Leo felt himself getting a little lightheaded, his breathing beginning to pick up.
Logan looked up at them, his eyelashes dark, his eyes wanting and his smile bashful. He squeezed each of their hands once more before stepping back. “Ouais, d’accord.” He felt around in the pockets on his dark shorts, taking something out into his hands
and sinking down on one knee.
Leo heard Finn gasp beside him, and his breathing was really picking up now. Finn’s thigh and shoulder were warm against him, and out of the corner of his eye he saw Finn bring a hand up to cover his mouth, a soft 'oh' escaping him. Leo leaned heavily into his side, but he couldn’t look away from Logan, who was smiling up at them and slowly opening a box, two rings nestled inside.
Logan took a deep breath before beginning. “Ouais, je
I had a whole speech prepared. I was going to do this tomorrow, after dinner, but you two just looked so beautiful just now, and I had to
” He huffed, obviously frustrated with the English. Leo caught his eye, and nodded, whispering a soft 'bon, continue'. Logan inhaled and exhaled with a shudder, before looking between them resolutely. Finn still hadn’t moved a muscle, really, but Leo could feel him shaking beside him as Logan continued. “I never thought I would have this, this overwhelming kind of love. Not because I didn’t think it was out there, but because I was too afraid to want it for myself.” He looked to Finn. “Rouge, you made me realize for the first time what it is to want someone so fully, so completely. I loved you the second I walked through that doorway my first day of college, and I have spent every moment since loving you and wanting you more than anything.” Tears were forming in his eyes as he smiled, gaining confidence as he spoke. “Je t’aime, mon rouge. I love you so much.” He turned those beautiful eyes to Leo, and Leo felt like he was going to fall off of his chair. “Mon soleil,” Logan said, his eyes going so soft, his head tilting. Leo, in his periphery, saw Finn turn to look at him, too. “You taught me how to be brave. You’re braver than anyone I think I have ever known. You showed me how to want, how to love anyway while still being scared, and how I can be scared and brave at the same time.” He looked back to Finn briefly, eyes darting between them. “I don’t- I don’t think I ever would have been brave enough to love, without you, soleil
to love anyone they way that I want.” He bit his lip. “Je t’aime, mon soleil. I love you, and I want you.”
Leo didn’t know what to do with himself, and he felt Finn grab his hand as he closed his eyes and let a few tears escape. It was release, relief, and love so profound that he was overflowing. He opened his eyes at Finn’s squeeze of his hand, looking at him. Finn leaned over, pressing a kiss to his forehead, and then they both turned to look at Logan with their temples touching. Logan was smiling up at them, then looked down at the rings.
“Je veux passer le reste de ma vie avec vous deux. I
I want to spend the rest of my life loving you, deserving you, and caring for you. And I want to love you in the next life, and the next, and every one after it. I don’t ever want to stop loving you, and I hope you want the same. Et alors, s'il vous plaĂźt
” At this, Logan looked up from the ring box, into their eyes. They were both frozen under his gaze. “...Ă©pousez-moi, mes amours?”
Finn took a shuddering breath in, a whimper escaping him as tears escaped from his eyes. And Leo

Leo looked at Logan, down on one knee, jumping the gun because he couldn’t wait for tomorrow, when Leo was also going to propose. And Leo was so overwhelmed by this, how preposterous and silly and so them this whole situation was, that he let out at breathless laugh.
Logan, still smiling, looked at him, brows furrowed. “Soleil?”
Leo laughed again. “Wait here.”
And he stood up and walked out of the room.
***
Logan watched as Leo stepped into their bedroom, still on one knee, as confused as he had ever been. His brow furrowed, his breathing harsh. He had been so sure that Leo would want this. After all, Leo had been the one to suggest getting married before they retired. He wouldn’t say no, surely. Right?
Finn’s harsh breathing snapped Logan out of his reverie. Normally so talkative, Finn was rendered speechless, his fingers resting lightly over his mouth, face flushed with his tears, eyes wide with
panic? Nerves? Logan didn’t know, but he looked like he would fall over and faint.
“Rouge
”
“Lo,” Finn responded, breathless and soft, hand coming rest at his collarbone. “I- do you
?” He looked frantically at their bedroom before looking back at Logan.
Logan shook his head. “Rouge, no, I- I don’t-” He breathed in harshly, a soft noise escaping him as he turned to look at the door to their bedroom, voice tight. “Soleil?”
“Ouais, yeah, sorry. I’m coming.” Leo sounded a bit breathless, and a bit
 giddy?
Logan was so confused.
After another few moments, Leo came through the door, and came to stand over them. He looked so tall from the floor, Logan thought, so beautiful, like an angel. But he was shaking, red-cheeked and smiling, blue eyes shining and a bit mischievous. Both Logan and Finn looked at him, bewildered, until he opened his palm to reveal a box in the center, and opened it with his thumb.
Finn made a slight yelping sound, slapping his hand hard over his mouth. Logan’s breath caught in his throat, vision going a bit fuzzy as Leo reached down and gently pulled him up by the hand. Logan let himself by guided by Leo’s warm palm into the seat beside Finn, their positions now swapped. Leo kissed his cheek, then Finn’s
and then sank on one knee in front of them. Unlike Logan, who had taken a moment to collect his thoughts, Leo just started talking, happy and energized and so in love.
“I was also going to do this tomorrow, after dinner,” he started, with a wink at Logan. “I was going to take you out to dinner and bring you back and make strawberry shortcake
” Logan heard himself and Finn each let out tearful chuckles. “...but then you sank down on one knee, Lo, and I just thought
this is so ridiculous. This is so silly, and out of order, and so us that it’s perfect, and I wouldn’t have either of you any other way.” He turned to Finn first, who was shaking so hard against Logan’s side. “Finn, sweetheart, I
I remember the first night you kissed me so vividly. Your gentle eyes and hands and words, always trying so hard to give your all to me, to Logan, even if it was hard. Even if it hurt. And you gave yourself to me so fully, and have continued to do so every day, and I love you. There’s nothing else to say other than I love you. And Logan
” He shifted his gaze, and Logan could do nothing but stare helplessly back into his baby blues. “Oh, Logan, honey, I wanted you so desperately I didn’t know what to do with myself. You burn, for yourself, but especially for us. And you were burning for me, and for Finn, and when you finally let yourself have us, I
I was so warm, sweetheart. You make me feel so warm, and I love you. I love you, I love you both so much.” Leo took a deep breath and settled his shoulders. “I told you I knew you were mine in all the ways that mattered, that you are, but that I want to marry you because I want that unity. And while that’s true, more than anything I just want to marry you because you're home. You’ve been home now, for so long now, and I want a marriage with you to be part of the foundation of that home. I know marriage is sometimes silly, and arbitrary, and- and a piece of paper
” Leo rolled his eyes at himself as he started to cry. “I just- I want it with you anyways. I want to write you vows, I want our families there, I want to show our world how much I love you, how devoted I am to you. I want that official promise because I believe you deserve it, and I want you to have all that you deserve.” He looked down at the rings, up at them, and smiled, crinkling his adorable nose in a way that made Logan’s heart skip a beat in his chest. “I love you, and I want you forever. Marry me. Will you marry me?”
Logan didn’t know what to expect, and he knew Leo didn’t either, from the way he was now holding himself slightly stiffly, but they didn’t expect Finn to outburst with a high-pitch, dramatic sob. “Oh my God!” He fanned his face, then pressed both of his hands over his face, fingertips meeting at the bridge of his nose. “Oh my God, oh my God, oh my God!”
Immediately, Leo and Logan burst out laughing. It bubbled out of Logan’s chest, taking him by surprise as he gently knelt on the floor in front of Leo. The floor shook as Finn fell down clumsily beside them, causing them to laugh harder. Logan looked at Leo, pressing his fingers to Leo’s wrist where he was still clutching the opened ring box. “Oh, soleil
”
“Marry me,” Leo repeated, looking between the two of them. Finn’s eyes were moving back and forth, from their faces to the ring boxes they were still clutching.
Logan looked up at Leo, biting his lip. “I asked you first.”
That had Leo laughing a tearful laugh, shaking his whole body. Logan looked at him in the eyes, holding his gaze.
“Veux-tu m’epouser, mon soleil?” He turned to Finn. “Et toi, mon rouge? Marry me, Fish.”
“Oh Jesus,” Finn said, before he was lurching forward and pulling Logan into a kiss. “Yes, oh God, baby, yes.” Finn kissed him sloppily, indulgently, before eventually letting them part.
Logan turned back to Leo, Finn’s hand still at his neck. Leo was nodding, biting his lips in that devastating way. “Oui, sweetheart. Yes.”
Logan heard Finn’s breath hitch as he and Leo leaned in to kiss each other, smiling too much to make it last long. Logan pressed a series of kisses to Leo’s flushed cheeks, then leaned back and took the rings out of the box. Shaking, he put them on each of their fingers, kissing their hands after each one. Leo let out a breath. “Oh, Lo, it’s beautiful.”
Finn, still crying too much for complete sentences, just let out a tearful 'baby' and clutched his hand to his chest, leaning over and pressing his forehead to Logan’s with a groan. After a moment, Logan felt a nudge at his other side. He turned to find Leo still on one knee, holding the ring box out for him.
“Your turn, Lo,” Leo said gently. He grinned, then looked to Finn. “And your turn again, I guess.”
Finn let out a choked sob again, and Leo and Logan looked at him and laughed. “Oh my God, oh my God, this is really happening.”
Leo shook his head. “You’ll be fine honey.” He held the box more insistently out to them. “Marry me.”
Logan smiled so hard he shook with it. “Ouais, soleil. Ouais.”
Leo leaned in and kissed him hard. Logan had a flashback to the first time he had kissed Leo in public, right in New York City, ‘first kiss day’, as Finn had called it. Leo, normally so gentle with them, gripping him and holding so tightly that he felt wound up and gooey all at once.
They broke apart after a moment, and Leo took Logan’s ring out of the box, showing him the engraving on the inside before slipping it on his finger. Logan admired it on his finger for a moment before his attention was diverted by another sound from Finn. “Oh, mon rouge,” he laughed.
“Sorry, sorry, I’m just- I’m getting proposed to twice today, it’s a lot, okay?” He looked at Leo, who was looking at him with his eyebrows raised in amusement and still holding out Finn’s ring to him. That seemed to sober Finn up, and he whimpered. “Oh. Oh Leo-”
Leo softened. “Oh, honey, c’mere.”
Leo leaned in, kissing Finn softly on the lips, thumbs tracing under his eyes where the tear tracks were. He parted after a few moments and took Finn’s hand to slip his second ring on him.
Leo chuckled. “Well, look at you. Collecting them all.”
Finn wiped under his eyes. “Oh God, I’m going to have to put them on a necklace or something. I don’t know if they’ll all eventually fit, with my-” His eyes widened briefly, before he started crying again. “Oh, my wedding ring, oh God!”
Leo shushed him gently, pulling him under his arm and kissing his forehead. He opened his other arm for Logan to tuck himself under. Logan went willingly, one arm around Finn and Leo each, clutching them close. Finn was still shaking with his happy tears, although now they were a bit quieter than before.
Suddenly, Finn looked up. “I for sure thought I was going to propose first. I was going to go to the jeweler next week.”
Logan shrugged. “We beat you, Fish.”
“Twice,” Leo added, jostling them both lightly.
“Hm,” Finn sighed, leaning his head heavily onto Leo’s chest and running his hand up and down Logan’s side. “I love you. I can’t wait to marry you.”
Logan felt himself shiver in excitement. “Moi aussi, mon couer.”
“Yeah,” Leo said softly. “Gonna marry you forever.”
That set Finn off again. “Peanut, you can’t just say that!”
“I really didn’t think you’d react like this, sweetheart, I’m sorry.”
“I was not planning on getting proposed to twice in one evening!”
Logan rolled his eyes playfully. “Oh, mon rouge.” He looked up at Leo. “Hey, Knut?”
Leo looked down at him, eyebrows raised. “Uh oh. What’s with the last name?”
Logan just bit his lip, glancing at him, then at Finn, who was suddenly rapt with attention and sitting up straighter. “O’Hara.”
“Oh God,” Finn whispered.
Logan bit at Leo's chest through his shirt, and widened his eyes in a way he knew drove them crazy. “Can I be in trouble?”
Finn groaned and Leo looked down at him, eyes darkening and Logan smiled mischievously. Beside them, Finn cursed. “Fucking gorgeous, both of you. Gonna be in trouble for the rest of our lives.”
That got Leo alert, and he scrambled up, dragging them both with him. Logan laughed as he was ushered into their bedroom and thrown gently on their bedspread. They climbed after him, Finn immediately attacking his mouth, and Leo working a bruise into his neck. Finn pulled back, then looked down at Leo, amused. “Careful there, Knut, or you'll be in trouble, too.”
Leo laughed, blue eyes shining and a singular dimple appearing, before leaning over and kissing Finn as well. As he watched them, with their smiles, and their mouths on him and each other, Logan thought that there, in that moment, he was the most in love he had ever been.
***
Finn awoke the next morning to the sound of rain outside of the window, the room cooler than normal due to a drop in temperature. He breathed in heavily and ran a hand over his face, stopping when he felt cool metal brush his nose. Oh. Oh man.
He jerked his hand away, staring at the two rings, identical in color but unique in embellishments, that his boys had slipped on his fingers the night before. He almost got all worked up again, still riding the absolute rollercoaster of emotions of being proposed to not once, but twice in the same night. He hadn't been kidding when he told them it had been a lot: Logan, who at one point he never thought he'd have, kneeling before him and asking to be his forever; Leo, who showed up out of the blue and somehow made everything better, lighter, so brave, just like Logan had said, jumping when he was scared and simultaneously landing in their arms and catching them in his.
Finn didn't know how he'd got so lucky, squinting across the pillow at Logan and Leo, the latter of which was spooning Logan with an arm around his middle. Logan had one hand on Leo, the other on Finn's bicep, their legs tangled together. Last night had been rolling pleasure, weighed down with so much love that Finn didn't want it to end. They didn't, really, until they physically couldn't anymore. And even then they'd stayed up so long just kissing, evidence of which lingering on all of their necks. Finn reached out and touched a bruise on Logan's neck, making him stir and open his eyes. Leo, perhaps sensing the change in Logan's breathing, also shifted, lifting his head to look at Finn over Logan's back. Finn just stared for a few seconds, until Logan reached the hand with his engagement ring on it out to cup his jaw, Leo tracking the movement with his beautiful eyes.
“Rouge, ici.”
“Yeah, sweetheart, come here.”
And so Finn went, pressing his nose into Logan's neck, hand reaching across to grip Leo's torso. He kissed Logan's chest, took Leo's hand from around Logan's waist and kissed that, too, and heard Leo press a kiss to the back of Logan's neck. This, Finn decided, was more valuable than anything else in the world. His boys, in their bed, in the home they created, living the life they shared, with a promise to continue to do so for eternity.
Finn, for one, couldn't think of a happier ending, and so closed his eyes to be lulled back to sleep by the sound of their breathing.

So I'm obsessing over Hazbin Hotel like all of the internet right now, but I've been a fan since the pilot and am caught up on Helluva Boss. I have a few things to rant about here.
1. ALEX BRIGHAM AND HIS OBSESSION WITH DEMONS. He's Beetlejuice in the broadway musical, he's Fizzorolie or however you spell his name in Helluva boss, he's Sir Pentious and ADAM THEE GOD DAMNED ADAM THE FIRST MAN In Hazbin hotel.
2. Husks voice actor is Keith David aka DR. FACILIER IN THE PRINCESS AND THE FROG!
3. Jack Kelly from Newsies on Broadway, filmed and put on Disney plus, Varian from Tangled the Series is Played by Jeremy Jordan, now if you're a theater kid you know who he is, you'd also be interested in knowing that he's LUCIFER that's right Lucifer Morningstar THE DEVIL HIMSELF
4. HUSKERDUST. I love this ship. Yes they are romantic and Vizzy has confirmed they are a slowburn relationship so if Anyone who interacts with me says they're platonic or found family I will be sending you to hell yourself
5. Alastor, first off he's canonical Aro Ace, just so ya know. Secondly he's such a good manipulator that he's manipulating fans into thinking he's not trying to fuck over the hotel and that he's not a villain. Which he is but he's still lovable. ALSO Alastor is Creole, he may have been white passing when alive but he's Creole and from Louisiana (I love Louisiana born men, my obsession with Leo Knut is proof of that) So just keep that in mind when drawing him. The transatlantic voice is something he would have learned, it's called All American speech and was used in Radio and TV, that's his voice under the radio affect.
6. The V's. Love them and hate them. I absolutely loth Val but at the same time Vox's screen brightens when he's trying to get Valentino's attention and that's really cute
7. Lute's Voice Actress played Elphaba in Wicked and her part in You didn't know is the absolute best part ever.
And Remember they're all in hell for a reason Sir Pentious is the only one who's truly good out of the Sinners

O'Knutzy Week Day 5
Yooo, we've made it to the end!! (Of creating at least, still two more days left but I didn't have time to make anything. Also still written in advance to the actual week.)
Anyway, I figured for the last day I would share the songs on my O'Knutzy playlist I listened to while writing my stories (+ the characters they remind me of and why they did)
Credit of this beautiful thing we call Logan Tremblay, Finn O'Hara, and Leo Knut to @lumosinlove , and thanks to @oknutzy-week-2024 for also just being amazing.
Anyway songs under cut :)
shhh its a shit ton of Hozier
Line Without a Hook, Rick Montgomery - Ok look at me and tell me this isn't Harvard Era Finnlo. "You can hold my hand if no ones there" LOGAN! "All my emotions feel like explosions when you're around" FINN! Nuff' said.
Wish You Were Sober, Conan Gray - I only need one word to explain this one. Harvard. Next!
Sun, Two Door Cinema Club - Mainly reminds me of Finn, especially when he's in Gryfindor and Logan's still at Harvard. But also like listen to it, literally the entire song is just them.
Young In America, Barnes Courtney - Just gives me that Harvard vibe yk, Finn and Logan being best friends and then being drawn apart, it just fits them Imo. ALSO THAT LAST FUCKING VERSE IS SO UGH FINNLO (Also happens to be my favorite song rn so that may be part of it but like it's still them)
Running In Circles, Dead Poet Society - LOGAN. Specifically Logan his last year of college without Finn and him being in pain. Him having to hide it as well, and pretending he's not completely fucking devastated without Finn. Just the angst.
Atlantis, Seafret - Makes me think of Logan being scared and constantly telling Finn they can't and pretty much everything after the night Finn leaves Harvard. The feeling of helpless and inevitable heartbreak is very in line with that period of time.
Mind Over Matter, Young The Giant - Very Logan coded. Kinda how I imagined him with Leo and Finn before they got together. Also, "Cause' I'm a young man built to fall" is just something I think Logan would have told himself on why he couldn't tell Finn or Leo.
To Someone From A Warm Climate, Hozier - Also very Logan coded, I imagine him just quietly singing this into Leo's ear in the dark of a winter night, which are cold in Gryfindor which Leo is NOT used to.
Francesca, Hozier - Ahem, "the entire fucking song". Finn. This song = Finn. More exactly reflecting back on all of the hurt he and Logan went through together and knowing he would do it again. And again. And again. Especially when he's a Lion and O'Knutzy isn't a thing yet.
Home, Good Neighbours - Leo's homesickness, Logan missing Gryfindor in NY, Finn wanting to go back to Logan at Harvard. All of it. Though it did mainly make me think of Leo going home for a little bit after the Rangers knocked the Lions out of the playoffs in Vaincre.
TIMEZONE, Maneskin - Let me take you back to a lovely place called Logan fully ditching all-stars to see Leo and Finn in Vaincre. If this isn't the most Logan song I've ever heard, I don't even know. Also could be Logan in NY, or even Finn in Gryf while Logan's at Harvard.
Heaven Must Have Sent You, The Elgins - Leo. Just the way Leo tends to think about Finn and Logan, and he's definitely played this while dinner was cooking and the three of them danced in the kitchen.
Can't Take My Eye's Off You, Frankie Valli - Leo sings this at karaoke night constantly and you cannot tell me otherwise. Anyway, self explanatory, moving on.
Angel of Small Death and the Codeine Scene, Hozier - Finn and the way he thinks of Leo and Logan. I think that's enough.
From Eden, Hozier - Yk, I don't actually have a clear explination for this one, it just gives me those O'Knutzy vibes.
Somewhere Only We Know, Keane - Reminds me of Harvard and the Roof, but also just a very O'Knutzy and FinLo song that makes me want to reread Coast to Coast.
Ditmas, Mumford and Sons - FinLo falling apart after Finn graduates. The angst is very appropriate and obviously it doesn't last but this is how I imagine it was back then.
i wanna be your girlfriend, girl in red - Very self explanatory, we don't need to dwell on it.
Figure You Out, VOILA - Hey remember when Logan freaked out when he though Finn got a girlfriend? This, it's this. Every time one little romantic interest and Logan just turns into the embodiment of this song.
Mercy, Shawn Mendes - Ok yes Ik it's basic but this is totally how Finn felt when him and Logan were doing their little dance around each other and it was absolutely Killing Finn.
Thinking Out Loud, Ed Sheeran - OK I GET IT ALSO BASIC but it does genuinely make me think of an older O'Knutzy, one that will love each other for a very long time and will love each other no matter what happens and how they change.
High, Stephen Sanchez - Sorry this song is so Finn being fucking horny over Logan in college and thinking about all the things he would do to him given the chance.
Beautiful Things, Benson Boone - SHUT UP I KNOW BASIC, but anyway this is Logan thinking over the last few years and how things have gotten so much better but also being so so so scared he could lose it all in a moment. His beautiful things are Finn and Leo.
Supernatural, Barnes Courtney - Finn constantly at Harvard. Logan and him are dancing around each other and Logan keeps fucking touching him and being so close and it drives him insane. And just a very Harvard Era song.
Like Real People Do, Hozier - Not Finn saying "can we for once not kiss while we're both crying" and that's literally just this song in different words, ok?
If She's Anything Like Me, MALINDA - Logan with every single girl Finn talks about or even looks at. Finn is genuinely the most perfect and lovable person in his eyes, so why wouldn't everyone else love him, too? And just because he doesn't have the guts to say it, that doesn't mean they won't.
Heat Waves, Glass Animals - Ok ok ok ok ok hear me out..... Actually I don't have much to defend this so Ig it's just all of them staying up late at night just thinking about each other.
Home, Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros - A very FinLo coded song, especially with the "Jade...Alexander....I was falling deep deep deeply in love with you," part because tell me that didn't happen. Also Leo works in here too because home is with his boys and their home will always be with him, too.
When He Sees Me, Kimiko Glenn & co - Definitely what Leo came into his Rookie season thinking. Especially once he met Finn and Logan knowing he'd be head over heels if he wasn't careful. Just very Leo as well because ofc he's fucking defensive of his heart right after Jack bitchass Archer.
She, Foxy Venus - Guess, take a wild guess. Did you guess Harvard Era Finlo because yeah, that's it. More specifically I think Finn and trying to get Logan out of his mind and move on and that not working whatsoever.
Can't Help Falling in Love, Elvis Presley - This took me an embarrassingly long time to add but yeah Very much Leo with his boys and then Logan and Finn with Leo.
Can't Pretend, Tom Odell - Also took me an embarrassingly long time to add considering it HAS THE SAME TITLE AS ONE OF MY FUCKING WORKS but we don't need to dwell on it. Anyway, FinLo again, especially canonically when they have their little talks about loving each other and not admitting it.
This playlist will probably grow but y'all ain't getting my Spotify so it's just a list rn, might add onto it, idk. Anyway, hope this was suitable for a final O'Knutzy week post and figured it be fun to show you what I was listening to while writing all this. Genuinely I had To Someone From A Warm Climate on repeat while writing the first half of With a Straight Face because if y'all we're confused about the vibe, it's that (especially the beginning). Also Supernatural was on repeat for the first part of When We Can't Pretend (Oh and High was on repeat during the Kiss in the second half, lol).
Ok peace I genuinely can't wait to see everything when I get back in August!

Note
i just reread "big head" and laughed my ass off, will you do another ego award one pretty pleeeeeaseee? (only if you want of course :))
One of my favorites! Character credit goes to @lumosinlove <3
(Part 1: Big Head)
“The 2022-2023 hockey season has officially wrapped,” Talker announced as he walked backward down the hallway of Gryffindor Arena. “This team had a run for the history books and everyone is so proud—and so grateful—to have such outstanding fans there with us every step of the way. We truly could not have done it without you.
“As a ‘thank you’ for everything you’ve done for us this year, we’d like to continue a very special end-of-season tradition: the Ego Award. Some of you may recall our reigning champion, Heartthrob O’Hara himself, and his fabulously embarrassing stories from last year.” He paused just outside the locker room with a significant look toward the camera. “Those may be big shoes to fill, but rest assured we have found the one person who can literally and figuratively get the job done. Behold.”
He swept the door open with one hand and chaos spilled out in a rush.
“Read it! Read it! Read it!” half the room chanted.
“Eat it! Eat it! Eat it!” the other half cheered.
“I can’t,” came Leo’s distressed answer, red all the way from his ears to his neck as he gripped a wrinkled piece of notebook paper. “You guys, this is such a—”
“Gentlemen!” The room fell silent as Talker spread his arms with a wide smile. “Welcome to the 2023 Ego Award, hosted by yours truly and bestowed upon our sweet baby net angel, the Nutcracker.”
“It’s Knut,” Leo said miserably. “Like the lizard.”
“Hush, Crunchy Peanut Butter. Do you have your punishment prepared?”
Leo turned baleful eyes on the camera. He looked rather like a puppy that had been put outside in the rain, hunched in his stall and surrounded by his carrion-bird teammates. “Save me.”
“Saviors are for the humble. You, sir, were voted off that island. Read.”
“Oh, god,” Leo mumbled under his breath as he unfolded the paper. In the corner of the frame, Finn watched him with unhindered glee. “My name is Leo Knut, and these are my top five most humbling moments with the Gryffindor Lions. Because clearly I don’t suffer enough for this team.”
“Keep that up and you’re getting the Potty Mouth Award, too,” Talker warned.
“You can’t—” Leo rolled his eyes. “Fine. Number five: trying to drink out of the wrong side of my waterbottle.”
“How many times?” Finn prompted eagerly.
“Once.”
A chorus of protests rose up—Leo pressed his lips into a thin line.
“Nine times. Shut up. Number four: losing a kitten in my shirt when we had a shelter visit."
"Two kittens," Sirius corrected. "One went up your pant leg."
"Oh my god, can you not?"
“That one was delightful,” Kasey agreed, nodding along. “Just—honestly, one of my favorite memories.”
Leo smoothed the edge of the page, nose wrinkling like he had smelled something unpleasant. “Is it too late to eat the paper?”
Remus tsked. “We gave you a chance. Not our fault you chose the most painful path.”
A rogue socked foot came into frame and poked Leo on the shin. “Read, Butterball.”
“Number three,” Leo continued, tilting his face to the ceiling in a clear bid for strength. “Getting stuck jumping the boards, falling back onto the ice, slipping when I got up again, and only making it over successfully with the help of two different people dragging me over the edge.”
“Like hauling a bag of bricks,” Logan mused from his place on the floor.
Dumo nodded solemnly. “Or a dead bear.”
“Slip a disc about it, Grandpa,” Leo quipped before glancing to Talker. “If I read the next one without eating this paper, can I skip the last one?”
“No,” the rest of the team answered in perfect unison.
“We all go through trying times,” Finn said with a pat to Leo’s knee. “Look on the bright side: at least it isn’t me this year!”
Leo stared at him for a long, silent moment.
“You astound me,” he said at last.
“Thank you.”
“That’s not a compliment.”
“I’m taking it as one.”
“How did I end up with this award?” He looked around the team with a lost expression. “How is it not Ginger Spice every goddamn year?”
“Because we have to switch it up so we can trauma-bond over mutual humiliation,” Talker informed him. “Also, you’re a little fucker and you can’t hide it from the good people of Gryffindor forever.”
Leo shook his head, but turned back to his notes. “Number two: leaving the ice baths to get my Gatorade, then slipping and falling in my own puddle on the way back.” He closed his eyes. “And spilling the entire bottle of Gatorade on myself. And slipping in that as well.”
“It’s important to me that people know you just laid there for, like, five full seconds,” Kasey added.
“Thanks.”
“Any time, Honeynut Cheerios.”
“After I’m done, can someone bury me under the net? I want to haunt you all for making me do this.”
Several noises of assent followed and Leo nodded.
“Cool. Sweet. I love this for myself.” He cleared his throat and leaned his elbows on his knees. “Number one: I underestimated the weight of my new gear, sat on a stool, and fell backwards off it. I took six and a half people down with me like a bowling ball wrapped in Velcro and foam. Every second of it was caught on camera and replayed through commercial breaks, then late-night television. Harzy, will you do the honors?”
“Of course, Bodacious Nutacious.”
Leo held his arms up and Finn scooped him over his shoulder with a grin as the room erupted into whoops, hollers, and applause. The camera followed the stream of players out and down the hallway; Talker stepped into frame once more, craning his neck to watch Leo and Finn disappear around the corner.
“Thanks for joining us for another year, Lions,” he laughed. “We look forward to so many more. Stay humble!”

The Lions for Dummies
Part one of this series (hopefully it will be a series)
It's kind of a mess so sorry about that.
CW- mention of abuse and anxiety
Page 9
A quick guide to the relationships
James Potter (player) is married to Lily Potter
Sirius Black (player) is dating Remus Lupin (player/previous pt) (page 12)
Leo Knut (player) is dating Finn O’Hara (player) they are also both dating Logan Tremblay (player) (page 36)
Kasey Winters (player) is dating Natalie Darcy they are also both dating Alex O’Hara (Finn O’Hara’s brother)
Thomas Walker (player) is dating Noelle Tremblay (Logan Tremblay’s sister)
Pascal Dumais (player/dad) is married to Celeste Dumais (mom) (page 26)
Page 25
Walburga and Orion Black are abusive assholes and the scum of the earth. (Continued on page 46)
Page 26
The opposite of Walburga and Orion (25), Pascal and Celeste are angels on earth.
But as someone who is (probably) living with them, you already know that.
Pascal and Celeste have everything but legally adopted Sirius as their own.
They co-parent Logan with his own parents.
They also have 4 kids, Adele, Marc, Louis, and Katie.
Katie may be cute but try not to let her cuteness fool you or else she will use it as a trick to get whatever she wants.
So biologically they have 4, everything but legally 6, and basically an entire team.
Movie nights are always at their house.
Celeste’s cooking is the best.
Adele always needs help with her homework.
Never, ever hesitate to ask them for anything.
If you have relationship problems, go to Dumo.
If you like someone, tell them (more on page 121), or else you raise the risk of Dumo locking you two in a room together.
Page 46
Due to his parents being the scum of the earth, Sirius has panic attacks. Sometimes they are triggered sometimes they are not.
Triggers may include but are not limited to
Sudden loud noises
Fighting (verbal and physical)
Very aggressive anger
Anger directed at Sirius
Sudden body movements near Sirius (throwing an arm out, moving abruptly, jumping, pushing, kicking, etc.)
Panic attacks range from fidgetting to near unconsciousness.
They are 96% of the time able to be calmed by Remus and Dumo’s help is needed for the other 4%.
In an event that you are alone or near Sirius while he is having a panic attack, get one of the people mentioned above or someone else on the team that can go get them.
(more on page 107)
Page 107
Everything you know about Sirius Black, forget it.
Half of it is bullshit.
Yes, he is an amazing player and terrifying on the ice but off the ice, he is a huge giant teddy bear especially if Remus is around, and impossibly even more so when his godson is around.
If something seems off with him, tell Remus or Dumo or someone.
Doesn’t matter if you think you’re being weird or nosey or awkward, just tell someone.
Immediately.
And after you tell someone give him space. Leave him with Remus or Dumo or whoever and give him space.
If he’s not at practice for a few days, don’t question it.
Page 117
We hate the Snakes.
It is now more than just a rivalry.
They took it off the ice.
Leave suggestions for more things rookies need to know.

We can only dream of man-bun Leo Knut. All credits to @lumosinlove !!
Dressed up in his suit, Leo thought that he looked slightly unrecognizable. It was a dark navy with a light blue pocket square that Finn had insisted matched his eyes. Leo had told him that pocket squares were outdated, but Finn had just scoffed and folded it up for him anyway. He’d also attempted to style his curls, which were much longer than they were months ago, but had resorted to pulling half of them into a bun at the top of his head. Really, he felt he didn’t look like himself, but Finn’s parents’ 30-year wedding anniversary party’s dress code was ‘formal’, and he was nothing if not a respectful future son-in-law.
“Le?” Finn’s voice called from the living room. “You almost ready, baby? We gotta go and pick up the cake.”
Leo took one more look at himself in the bathroom mirror and breathed deeply, fiddling with his gold chain necklace nervously. “Yeah, Harz, coming.”
When he entered the living room of Logan’s New York apartment, Logan and Finn were busy packing a couple bags of what looked like decorations. Finn and Alex had gone all out for their parents, buying cheesy table centerpieces to place alongside the flowers, and streamers to hang around the event room they’d rented out at their family’s favorite restaurant in the city.
Each of his boys were also in their suits, Logan in dark green with his brown waves pushed back by his sunglasses and Finn in gray, a white shirt with stiched flower patterns visible underneath his open jacket. They looked gorgeous always, Leo thought, but today, with the summer sun shining through the curtains onto their skin and hair, dressed to the nines, they looked especially beautiful.
Finn was still fussing with something when he spoke. “Hey, butter, you good to go? We should start bringing these things down to- oh fuck me.”
Leo looked up from where he had been messing with the cuffs on his light pink undershirt to find both of his boys staring at him. Logan’s eyes flitted all over his body, and Finn’s seemed to be stuck somewhere on his face.
Suddenly, Finn shook his head, blinking hard. “Jesus, Leo,” he said, eyes widening. He unabashedly moved to peek at Leo’s rear end and thighs. “Jesus, you’re going to kill me.”
Leo looked down at himself, then back at him. “Huh?”
This time, it was Logan who spoke. “Tres beau.” He looked a little restless, breathing a bit heavy like he did when he couldn’t find a way to direct his desire. Walking up to Leo, he ran a hand up the back of his head, gripping his hair. When he spoke again, it was a bit softer, his eyes dark as he drew Leo in. “Tres beau.” He kissed Leo deeply, opening his mouth up with a soft moan as Leo gripped his hips.
Finn groaned from where he was watching them. “Oh God, now you’re both going to kill me. Fucking gorgeous, what the hell.”
Leo felt Logan smile against mouth. “Non, rouge, come join us.”
“Lo, there is literally nothing I’d like more, but we’ve gotta go-”
“Viens ici.”
They both looked at Finn, whose fists were clenching and releasing, his jaw tight and throat bobbing as he considered Logan’s offer. He looked over their bodies, then sighed in defeat. “Fine.” He walked up to Logan, staring him down. “But you can be the one to tell Alex why we are late.”
Logan just kissed him hard, stepping briefly out of Leo’s hold to bring Finn’s mouth down to his with his arms around his neck. He didn’t stand on his toes, Leo noticed, flat footed and forcing Finn to come to him. Leo smiled; Logan could be demanding at the best of times, but sometimes he was so forceful it made Finn and Leo powerless to his will.
It seemed as though this was the case with Finn, who let out a loud moan, craning his neck downwards. Leo could see his tongue dart into Logan’s mouth quickly, his glasses squishing to his face as Logan got his fill. Eventually, with a harsh breaking sound, they pulled away. Logan’s face was smug, but Finn looked visibly flushed. “Oh, man, ten. I’m not gonna make it out of here.”
Logan just patted his chest. “Leo.”
At that, Finn lifted his head up, smiling again as he shifted in Logan’s arms to face slightly away. “Oh, that’s right.” He grabbed for Leo’s hand, pulling him right up against them. “Can’t forget about you sunshine.”
Leo hummed, smiling at them both. “You both look so handsome.”
“Well, if we are handsome, then you’re some sort of- god or something,” Finn said. “I mean, a bun has no right to look that good on anyone, yet there you stand.”
“Ouais,” Logan agreed, reaching up to grip Leo’s hair again. “It’s so sexy, mon coeur.”
Leo was rolling his eyes slightly, but Finn gripped his jaw. “Uh uh, no you don’t. You get to accept our compliments like a nice boyfriend.”
“Just kiss me, please.”
Finn didnïżœïżœt hesitate, kissing with the same firmness that he and Logan had kissed. Finn really could kiss filithily, could kiss them like they were suspended in time. Leo somehow felt like he was holding himself so firmly, yet also relaxed into Finn’s arm around his waist, Logan’s hand at the base of his skull. He felt another pair of lips on the base of his throat, felt the stiffness of Logan’s body that meant he was standing on his toes to reach. His blood was overheated, and he knew if they didn’t stop right now, they wouldn’t actually make it to the party.
“We have to-” he started, but was interrupted by Finn’s lips on his again. “We have to go.”
“One more, baby,” Finn said, drawing him in.
Leo whined, mouth going slack against Finn’s. Logan made his way up his jaw, then pulled his head away from Finn’s to get his own kiss. Leo furrowed his brow and made a low noise before reluctantly pulling away. “Gotta go.”
“Ouais,” Logan said, placing one more soft peck on Leo’s lips. “Ouais, let’s go.”
They separated slightly, Logan and Leo bending down to pick up a couple of bags each. When they stood up, they found Finn unabashedly gazing at the backs of their bodies, obviously having stared at them bent over. He abruptly snapped out of his reverie and put his hands over his face, hanging his neck.
“Oh, God, I need a cold shower,” he groaned, peeking out at them. “A really, really cold shower. Ice bath temperature. You’ve both been sent here to tempt me, I swear.”
Logan laughed Leo’s favorite laugh, taking a step forward with his fingers reaching out. Finn put a hand up to stop him.
“Don’t,” he said, voice firm. “If you want us to leave within the next two hours, you will stand right there and not come closer.” He shuddered a breath. “I might actually not make it.”
Leo grinned slyly and looked over at him. “Two hours? That’s all you’d give us?” He nodded his head to Lo. “What do you think, sweetheart?”
Logan bit his lip smugly, catching on. “I think,” he said, making his way back to Leo and wrapping his arms around Leo’s waist. “That two hours is definitely not enough time, soleil, and that we’d be very late to the party.”
“Oh my god.” Finn really sounded distressed now. “Oh my God, this is torture. This is actual torture.” He paused, turning to face them. “Stop looking at me like that!”
They both just laughed as Finn put his face back in his hands. Leo stepped forward and kissed his forehead. “C’mon, sweetheart. We can take a rain check until this evening.”
“That is not as helpful as you think it is. Now that’s all I’m going to be thinking about.”
“Ouais, good,” Logan said, opening the door. “Allez, mes amours, the party awaits us.”

Russian roulette
Hello Hello! As promised, the new chapter of Russian roulette! Thank you so very much to @ttylfedora and @asunshinepuff for being my wonderful Betas and giving this chapter some semblance of punctuation.
As always, credits for the cubs goes to @lumosinlove!
~
Chapter 4
Finn sighed, propping his head on a hand as he drove, the street lights flashing over the car in the dark. Finn looked over at Logan, his small form spread over the passenger seat, his head resting against the cold window while he slept.
Finn’s heart clenched painfully at the sight. The flashing lights made Logan look like an angel fallen from grace; incandescent, gorgeous and utterly unattainable. His breath hitched ever so slightly, gone in an instant as he turned back to the road.
He’d dealt with this for eight years. What’s a few more?
~
“Tremz, Tremz, we’re here.”
Logan woke to Finn gently shaking his shoulder, quietly calling his name. He slowly blinked his eyes open, “‘M awake, ‘m awake.” he shook his head blearily, trying to shake off some of the sleep.
“C’mon, up you get,” Finn grunted, tugging him out of the car, wrapping an arm around his waist. “Let’s get you in bed.” Logan groaned, leaning heavily on Finn as he muttered something about fishes and bedrooms.
By the time they got to the door, Logan was properly awake; though his arm stayed wrapped around Finn’s shoulder, the heavy warmth sending a shiver of delight down the redhead’s spine.
“Fish, I can walk back to my room myself, y’know.” Logan teased. He turned to look at his friend, his hand slipping off Finn’s body. Finn huffed a laugh, though he felt a strange sense of disappointment at the loss of contact.
“Go home, get some sleep, meet me back here tomorrow. We have to see what we’re going to do about Lizard and Leo .” it’s a little repetitive so i think one tomorrow works
Finn just looked at Logan, melancholy and regret swimming in the hazel irises.
“Go home, Logan. Get back to your own bed, it might help.”
“This is my home.”
“I know.” Finn sighed. “I know it is, but it shouldn’t be. Home should be somewhere you can be safe, somewhere you can call completely your own.”
“Is this not a place I can be safe? A place I can call completely mine?”
“Fuck, Tremz,” Finn shoved a hand through his hair in frustration. “Stop being so difficult, you know what I — you know what? Nevermind. Goodnight.”
Logan’s heart ached to say something, anything, to get that look off of Finn’s face, but he came up empty. He could do little but watch as Finn walked away, his lithe figure disappearing into the night.
Logan hated his flat, the empty space altogether too full of absent reminders of the person he had been, the person who’d let things go so horribly wrong. It had driven him mad; those one cosy, warm rooms once filled with laughter and merriment reduced to bleak snapshots of memories lost to time, black and white mementoes of love and companionship. The keepsakes on his mantle no longer bringing him laughter and happiness but left to rot like relics of a person who had once been.
His lungs grated against his ribcage as he let out a sigh, the breath making his shoulders slump lower, his head dipping as his feet dragged sluggishly on the polished marble floor. One foot after another, he reminded himself; one foot after another.
~
Finn parked his Maserati in the garage, letting out a deep, slow sigh as he let his head thump back against the headrest. He was so goddamn tired as of late. What with the recent loss of a high-profile asset — and friend— and the stranger-who-wasnt-really-a-stranger dropping by with seemingly perfect timing, it had all been a little much lately.
He ran his hands through his hair, relaxing a little in the star-flecked comfort of the night. His breath shook a little. He leaned forward, resting his head against the cool steering wheel, the light of his phone illuminating his face from his lap.
‘I’m sorry about today, but you know I can’t go back there’ No prizes for guessing who that was from.
Finn closed his eyes, thumping his head against the wheel gently. Ignoring the notification in favour of unlocking his phone, he connected it to the car’s music system, the soft, slow strumming of the guitar soothing his nerves, the heavy weight of being him falling away for a few blessed minutes.
With that, Finn pulled right back out of his garage and drove into the blissful peace of the night.
The tension leached out of Finn under the steady thrum of the engine. The smooth, cold texture of the steering wheel under his hands a comforting presence, the soft movements of the car a balm to his emotions.
Finn barely even noticed when the mechanical edges of buildings and skyscrapers faded to the soft, flat land of the country.
And then he was flying.
His beloved car pushing her limits underneath him, faster, faster, faster, until the world around him was a blur, until the steady thump of his heart, tangled with the rhythm of the soft bass coming from the speakers was the only thing keeping him anchored to his reality. He was soaring, higher, stronger, faster; battling the winds themselves to touch the stars, dancing with the soft moonlight, playing amongst the clouds.
And for a few blissful moments; Finn was nothing and everything all at once; a gust of wind trapped in a cage, a shard of starlight caught in a jar, a famed mob boss looking for freedom.
~
Finn walked into their shared office feeling infinitely lighter, the rumble of his vehicle a song in his blood and the flash of starlight dancing behind his eyes.
Logan looked up from his laptop, shoving his pencil behind his ear while he leaned back in his chair
“Well, you look like shit,” he grinned, nudging forward the cup of steaming coffee that Finn had just now noticed was sitting on his desk. “Did you get any sleep at all last night?
Finn’s mind flashed with the image of the sunrise on the horizon while he had driven straight to Headquarters and he flashed Logan a winning grin “Like a log, you?” he lied easily, sliding over the desk to sit on his chair.
“Lo, I have something important to ask you.”
The man in question turned around in his chair, tipping his head to the side as he looked at his friend. “Sure, what’s up?”
It took an unjust amount of willpower for Finn to ignore the way the light twined through Logan's hair, weaving through the chocolatey curls. He cleared his throat roughly, forcing himself to look anywhere but at him.
“Are we going to help our friendly neighbourhood Houdini?”
Logan scrunched up his nose in confusion, laughing when he finally realised who Finn was talking about.
“Houdini?!?! Of all the brilliant magicians, you went with Houdini?”
Finn crossed his arms, pouting. “Well, who else was I supposed to think of?”
“Literally anybody else, Dynamo, David Blaine, The Horsemen, Robert Angier? I don’t know, maybe his own father? Have you even seen the prestige?”
Finn’s sigh of exasperation was only betrayed by the way his lips twitched up at the ends. “Oh shut up, you know who I’m talking about. Anyway, what do we do?”
Logan’s smile faded into a frown as he chewed his lip thoughtfully.
“I don’t know. He did know Lizard’s name, besides, his father was an asset too. Liz knew him well.”
Finn hummed, a small knife already spinning around his fingers. “You’re not wrong, but how do we know we can trust him?”
Logan shrugged, “I can ask around if you’d like that better, but I think we’re alright. Bliz knows him too. Says he’s a good kid.”
Finn hummed, already lost in thought.
Logan sucked in a deep breath, “I think we should do it.”
Finn’s amber eyes snapped to Logan, and he nodded, a wayward red curl falling into his eyes.
“Yeah
.I think so too.”
~
“Hey! Portami il vecchio mazzo di carte per favore? voglio provare qualcosa.” Leo called, shuffling his deck of cards in increasingly complex ways.
He missed a particularly risky shuffle, and the cards flew out of his fingers, falling to the green grass of Natalie’s backyard.
“Porca puttana” Leo muttered, stooping to pick up the cards for what felt like the hundredth time that day.
“Language!” Natalie called from the kitchen, stirring a pot of something that smelled absolutely divine. “And it’s about time you stopped anyway, dinner’s almost ready.”
Leo sighed, picking up his deck and tapping it on the side of his shoe as he walked into the house. He paused to kiss Natalie on the cheek before dropping his things on the couch to help her in the kitchen.
“Nat, you are a goddess, this smells incredible.” Leo sighed, stirring the pot Nat had put him in charge of. “Dio santo, Nat, could you take over for a sec? I left my phone in the yard. I’ll get Bliz on the way back?”
Natalie rolled her eyes at him fondly, shoving his shoulder as she took the spoon from his hands. “Of course you did. Go get it. And bring Kase too.”
Leo nodded, slipping his shoes on to walk to the yard, whistling as he went.
He was so preoccupied with looking for his phone; he didn’t notice the tall man striding towards him, his gait soft and even.
“Leo Knut?”
Leo could’ve sworn he’d had half a heart attack in the split second it took him to turn around to face the stranger, his heart beating double time as he looked around for something— anything— he could use as a weapon.
But the man just raised his hands, taking a step back.
“O'Hara and Tremblay want to see you.”
~
Leo’s leg bounced under the table, his eyes glazed over with the look of someone who wasn’t quite present.
“Knut, are you listening? We need the plans.”
“Huh? Oh, um, it’s actually pronounced ‘newt’ not ‘nut’. And how do I know you’re not going to take the plans and sell me out the second I walk out of here?”
Finn and Logan exchanged a look, a silent conversation clearly taking place as they met each other’s eyes.
“Because you’re planning the damn heist right here with us.”
Leo wished he could say he handled the situation like a normal person, casually accepting the information and moving on, but that would be a lie. Instead, it took him a solid 20 seconds to even begin to process the fact that they had said yes.
But in true magician fashion, Leo had his bearings back before anyone could notice.
“Pleasure doing business with you gentlemen,” He said, shaking their hands over the table. “But I hope you know that I have an insurance policy against you should you choose to fuck me over.”
Both Logan and Finn startled, Logan’s hand immediately going to his gun. “What the fuck did you do.”
“Don’t cross me and you won’t have to find out, Mio Signore,”
Leo could feel Finn’s searing stare on the back of his neck as he walked away. “I’ll stop by tomorrow evening with the drive and the laptop.”
~
Leo’s mind kicked into overdrive the second he entered his apartment. Drive, map, encrypted journal. He wasn’t quite sure what had possessed the two of them to help him with one of the riskiest plans he’d ever heard in his life, but damn him if he wasn’t going to milk it to his advantage.
It always gave Leo an electric sort of thrill to start a new project; dark rooms, hushed arguments, pages and pages of data and plans the heady adrenalin rush of it all. And so Leo flicked the lights off, settled in with a mug of coffee and cracked his knuckles. It was going to be a long night.
~
Logan stared at Finn as he paced the office, watching as his friend ran his hand through his dishevelled hair.
“Lo, this is going to be the single most dangerous mission we have ever agreed to.”
Logan swiped a bit of sweat off his cheek, going back to cleaning his gun as he replied.
“I know. I know it is Harzy. But we’ll be going in hot, we’ll plot out every possible outcome. You know we will.”
Finn turned to look at him, the corners of his mouth twitching at something he saw.
“What? What is it?”
“Nothing you just
” Finn walked over to Logan’s desk leaning over the table to run his thumb across his friend’s cheek wiping a stripe of black grease off his face.
Logan went so uncomfortably still he wasn’t sure he’d ever move again.
Finn, meanwhile, went right back to his pacing, rambling about men and ammo and whatnot. This mission was going to be a hell of a ride if they kept going on like this.
Logan wasn’t sure he’d survive it.
But damn if it wasn’t a heavenly way to die.
“Lo, you’ll train with me, won't you? I might be a little rusty at hand to hand.” Finn said sheepishly, rubbing at the back of his neck.
Logan winked. “Always, it’s been a while since I kicked your sorry ass.”
Finn’s expression morphed into one of mock hurt. “Next time at target practice, I’m pinning your face to the board”

Punk Rock Leo? If y’all want a series of this you will have to let me know because I like this, but it also reminds me of something a 12 year old would write. (Cringe)
TW/CW: Swearing, Drinking, and a blowie in the bathroom lol, if there are others let me know I can’t think of anything else.
Sergei was on the phone with someone. Everyone else was in the shower or getting into their game day suits. Everyone was a little bummed because they just lost against the Rangers, 3-0. It stung but with Kasey being their only goalie and having a pulled thigh muscle makes it hard on the team.
Sergei was pulling on his blazer, he laughed into the phone and nodded as if the person on the line could see him. No one really paid attention, usually people get calls in the locker room from family, then again Sergei was speaking English. Suspicious.
“I will let them know! The whole team got it!” He hung up and whistled for everyone's attention. When all eyes were on him and mostly dressed he made his announcement. “Okay, I have the entire team invited to go to a free Punk Rock concert!”
“You like Punk? Sergei, why did I never know about this?” Dumo walks over to stand next to his friend and puts a hand on his shoulder. Sergei punches him in the arm slightly and rolls his eyes.
“I don’t really care for it, but an old friend of mine's son plays and has a concert at the Barclays Center. I thought you would like to go, maybe cheer up.” He smiles that sweet smile he always puts on when he wants to do something but not go alone. Most of the team agrees, Sunny and Sirius decide that concerts aren’t really their place and decide to stay at the hotel.
Everyone went to the hotel to change into something more comfortable. Finn knocked on Logan's door because he was taking forever. Finn didn’t really know what to wear to a punk concert so he went with his normal ripped black skinny jeans and a white shirt and some white tennis shoes. When Logan finally opened the door the room was a mess as expected, he shook his head as Logan held up two shirts for him to pick from.
Logan was so indecisive that Finn being his best friend made all his decisions for him. Once Logan was dressed in a Metallica black and white tie-dyed shirt with the sleeves cut off and some light wash baggy and ripped jeans, he threw on his stupid boots that weighed like 20 pounds but Logan took everywhere.
Everyone was waiting for them by the time they walked out of the elevator, the usual chirping about being late ensued as everyone piled into the vans waiting for them. They were expecting some small concert hall with a couple of mediocre bands that would sound great after a few drinks. Instead everyone but Finn was taken aback when they pulled up outside one of the biggest concert halls in NYU. Sergei went first and gave the bouncer a word. He let them through without hesitation. Leading them into a taped off area of the mosh pit.
“Sergei who the hell do you know!?” Finn was looking around so confused but also in awe. “Do you have a past we don’t know about?” Sergei laughed and shook his head, patting Finn a little hard on the back.
“Nope! You remember the travelling Junior Professional teams I used to coach.” Some of the older players nodded while Logan and Finn shook their heads. “Well I used to coach Eloise Knut’s son. He was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis last year as he was on the road to recovery from a torn ACL. He used to just do music for a hobby but now it’s his whole life.” Sergei shrugs as Finn and Logan gawk at him. Dumo snaps a picture of the two and sends it to the group chat.
“You mean Eloise Knut the absolute hockey LEGEND!” Finn looks at Logan then back at Sergei. “You’re shitting me.” Sergei shakes his head again as the lights start to dim and the band comes out. They all turned to face the stage, it was too dark to see anyone clearly but they knew people were up there.
Suddenly, a spotlight shines down on an angel, a giant angel. He’s tall built blonde with a green streak over his left temple missing with his beautifully golden angel curls. The mop of hair suit his face, a mesh shirt tucked into some bagged Black torn to shreds jeans and four inch platform boots. His golden skin glowed from under the light with a cloud of twinkles on his face that must be piercing's that can’t be seen from this far away. They also notice some black smudges around his eyes.
Logan is suddenly very thirsty. He got even thirstier when this angel opened his mouth. The songs were amazing, they were punk and crazy but also not anything he ever imagined. Everyone around them was dancing, drinking and laughing. Whooping when the angel from the stage came closer to sing directly to the group and pointed at Sergei before waving at him with the sweetest smile.
He was close enough Finn could make out his piercings, a septum a simile, an eyebrow and so many in his ears. What took his breath away is when the angel had been focusing so much on his bass solo that his tongue poked out of his mouth
 and it was pierced.
Finn and Logan both took big gulps of water at the same time, then gave each other pointed looks saying ‘You too?’ They both nodded and looked back on stage. Standing so close the back of their hands were touching. There had always been an unspoken thing between them but unspoken was always unspoken unless they were slightly inebriated somehow. So they never did anything around the team. But, this angel was pushing them close and closer to having to drink.
Once the performance came to an intermission Logan and Finn shared a look. Then they told the team they were going to the bathroom. Being told to be safe they made it to the bathroom, luckily it was empty. Logan had Finn pinned to the door in a matter of seconds.
“Please tell me you saw that gorgeous man!” Logan was dropping to his knees and undoing Finn’s belt and jeans before Finn could even process what was happening. A shocked moan was ripped from his throat as Logan swallowed him down with no hesitation. It didn’t take long for Logan to pull an orgasm from Finn. Logan loves going down on Finn so making him finish was easy, without even being touched. Logan stood back up as Finn was fixing himself. He washed his hands and splashed some water on his face.
“Yeah” Finn is still trying to catch his breath as he finishes his belt. “I saw him.”
They get back to the team without drawing too much attention to themselves, again standing so close to each other but this time their pinkies are linked. Finn is all bright smiles the rest of the night while Logan is a bit more shy than normal. Blushing at the slightest joke.
Once the concert ended and everyone crawled back into their respective beds they still couldn’t get that boy out of their heads.
The next morning on the car ride to the airport Finn tapped on Logan's headphones and showed him his phone. He has typed out a tweet that had Leo (They eventually got his name from Sergei) tagged.
“I’ve never been to a Punk concert but @peanut made me fall in love <3” It had a picture of him and Logan, and another that was just Leo. Logan was tagged on the side. Logan nodded, smiling and clicks post for Finn.
What they weren't expecting was a response when they landed.

could we see coops first big fight when they’re married? (essentially pure angst)
Yes, we can! Don’t worry, I got your follow-up ask about a happy ending as well--there are no sad endings on this blog, just some bittersweet ones, and this is very soft and fluffy. Hope you enjoy!
Combined with prompts for...
1. Another of Coops’ serious talks
2. Remus overworking himself to keep up
3. From @colored-rain: Sirius sleeping at Dumo’s for a night
4. Slow dancing in the kitchen
TW for couples fighting, suppression, and marriage issues
“Do you think we got married too fast?” a quiet voice asked in the darkness.
Remus paused for several heartbeats before opening his eyes and turning over; Sirius was staring at the ceiling, wide awake. “What?”
“Do you think we got married too fast?” Sirius repeated without looking at him.
“Do you?” Remus countered. Something panicky was starting to buzz in the back of his brain and he tried to keep his breaths steady. Sirius wasn’t breaking up with him. They had only been married for a few months. Things were really, really good—as far as he knew, they were both happier than they had ever been.
Sirius sighed through his nose. “I don’t know.”
“What?” Remus sat up against the headboard, wide awake. “What do you mean, you don’t know?”
“I—” Sirius shifted to sit up as well and crossed his legs. “I don’t know! People usually date for a lot longer than a year and a half before getting married, right?”
“We’ve known each other for seven years, Sirius.”
“Yes, and I love you, and you’re wonderful, but everything happened so fast.”
Remus wasn’t sure if his heart was trying to crawl out of his chest or dissolve into a puddle of pain. “Are you—Sirius, are you breaking up with me?”
“No!” Sirius said immediately. “I just said I love you, what the hell?”
“People can love each other and still break up!”
Sirius grabbed his hands, holding tight even when Remus tried to pull back and let his panic overtake him. Grey eyes locked on his, as solemn as he had ever seen them. “I’m not breaking up with you, Remus.” The clock on the nightstand beeped midnight and Sirius pressed his lips together. “We have early practice.”
“We need to talk.”
“We need to sleep.”
“Promise we’ll talk tomorrow, then.” We need to talk right now, actually.
Sirius squeezed his hands and kissed his cheek. His cheek. “I promise.”
Remus didn’t sleep much that night. His cheek burned with the memory of Sirius’ lips.
---------------------------
Their morning routine was stilted and quiet. Practice was awkward, and though neither of them let the previous night’s events influence their performance, he knew the tension was palpable. “Y’all good?” Leo asked under his breath as Remus filled his waterbottle up.
“We’re fine,” he answered, exhausted.
“Loops—”
“Stay in your lane, Knut.” He regretted the words as soon as they escaped his mouth—the kicked-puppy look on Leo’s face was more than enough to make guilt spike up—but he kept on moving down the hall and tried to wash the bitter taste from his mouth.
The ride home was worlds worse than he could have expected. Sirius turned the radio off the moment it started to play and kept his eyes firmly on the windshield the entire time, tapping his thumb against the wheel in the tic that always appeared when he was nervous. “I’m sorry.”
“Sorry doesn’t help us fix whatever’s going on.” Remus wasn’t angry, per say, but he was really fucking frustrated with Sirius’ sudden inability to communicate. “Talk to me. What happened?”
Sirius chewed the edge of his lip. “I was just thinking.”
There was a long stretch of silence between them. “Wow, thank you for that incredibly helpful information,” Remus said sarcastically when it became clear he wasn’t going to continue.
“You don’t have to be mean about it,” Sirius muttered.
“I’m not trying to be mean—”
“Well, you kind of were—”
“Then maybe you should talk about your problems for once!” Remus snapped before he could shove it back down. Sirius’ jaw clenched. “If we’re going to work through this, then you have to tell me what the hell happened to make you so worried and upset. Do you regret getting married to me?”
The response was immediate. “No.”
“Thank you.” He leaned his head back against the seat rest and closed his eyes. “Thank you, that was what I needed to hear.”
“Do you think we moved too fast?”
Remus scrubbed a hand over his face. “I used to. I don’t, anymore. There’s no rulebook for any of this. How long have you been thinking about that?”
Sirius started tapping the wheel again. “A couple weeks.”
He may as well have opened the passenger door and booted Remus from the car. A breath punched out of his lungs. “A couple weeks?” he whispered. The world was spinning, the floor was open, hell itself was coming to swallow him up. “Why didn’t you say anything?”
“I figured it was normal marriage stuff. That it would pass.”
“Oh my god.”
“I don’t have a clue what I’m doing.”
“And I do?” Remus said incredulously. “News flash: this is the first time I’ve ever been married, too!”
“Please don’t be angry.”
“Being married means you share things, Sirius, not keep them bottled up for two weeks! Especially when they concern the other person!”
Something stormy came over his face. “Oh, really? So when were you planning on talking to me about the fact that you haven’t slept in six days?”
“I literally sleep next to you!”
“You toss and turn all night, and then you get up and run drills for an hour before coming back to bed. Every time I ask how you slept, you lie to my face, Remus. That’s not okay.”
Remus was speechless. He had done everything he could think of to be quiet and careful so Sirius wouldn’t know. “I
”
Sirius glanced over at him, eyebrows raised. “Yeah, I noticed.”
Be an adult. Be an adult. You’re married. Be an adult. “I’m still worried about catching up to the team.”
“I figured. We’ve talked about this before, Re, it’s not safe for you to do that to yourself—”
“You don’t get it!” Sirius pulled into their driveway and turned the car off. “You have no idea how it feels to constantly be catching up to people! I’m fine, it’s not like I’m doing any damage!”
“I’m sorry, did you forget who you’re talking to?”
Remus clenched his teeth and got out of the car, grabbing his duffel from the backseat before slamming the door. He felt a little guilty—the rising memories of hushed confessions of hours of exercise to his father’s whistle meant Sirius understood better than anyone. Then the front door closed behind them both and the indignance on Sirius’ face sent his temper flaring up again. “You never bother to talk to me about anything that’s going on with you, so why should I even try?”
“What happened to ‘marriage is a partnership’?” Sirius followed him into the kitchen. “Have we moved on to the hypocrite stage yet or are we still clearing the air where nothing ever gets solved?”
Remus reeled back like he’d been slapped. “Fucking excuse me?”
“Every time we fight, you start all sarcastic and defensive, and then you get preachy like you’re reading something out of a fucking self-help book!” Sirius ran a hand through his hair. “Christ, Remus, it feels like I’m talking to a therapist instead of my partner!”
“Husband!” The ring on his finger had always been a comfort instead of a lead weight. “You can’t even say it?”
“I don’t regret marrying you!
“Then why are you so upset about us being married young?!”
“Because it’ll fall apart!” Sirius shouted back. “We’re going to be insufferably happy for a while, and then somewhere along the line we’re going to hate each other, and then it’ll be cold looks when we pass and different beds and all our friends will have to pick sides because we can’t stand to be in the same room together!”
“If you’re so sure about that, then why are you trying to fucking hard to keep us together?” Remus’ heart pounded like he’d run a marathon. Hearing his own fears thrown in his face was the most terrifying thing he had ever experienced.
“Because I love you.” Sirius’ voice broke. They were on opposite sides of the kitchen island, but Remus could see the pain on his face. “I love you, and I don’t want some—some impulsive decision to ruin that forever.”
“I love you, too.” Tears clogged the back of Remus’ throat. So stop pushing me away.
“Then I’ll be at Dumo’s.”
Remus nodded silently as Sirius walked past him toward the stairs; the moment he was out of sight, he headed into the downstairs bathroom and sat down with his back to the closed door, burying his face in his forearms. There was a rustle outside, and the front door closed with a click.
It wasn’t until his face itched with drying tears that he remembered Hattie. Guilt and panic stabbed through him and he scrambled back out, sprinting to her bed and then to the backyard. “Hattie?” he called, frantic with worry. “Hattie, c’mere!”
He closed his eyes and thought back to the events of the day. They had left her in the house for practice, and he vaguely remembered hearing her in the other room while they were fighting, and when Sirius left—
“Oh, you bastard,” he said aloud. The rustling of Sirius grabbing his duffel and whatever else he packed had been accompanied by the pattering of Hattie’s paws. “You took our fucking dog.”
Part of him was grateful that at least somebody had remembered their baby. The other part was absolutely furious. He pulled his phone out of his pocket and took a few deep breaths as the tone played. “Hello?”
“Can you pick me up?”
“Re, are you okay?”
“Not really. Can you pick me up?”
Concern dripped from Lily’s voice. “Where are you?”
“At home.”
“
where’s Sirius?”
“At Dumo’s.”
“I’m on my way.”
-----------------------------------
Harry Potter had been alive for less than two years, and he had been cried on by about half the Lions. Finn had started referring to him as ‘therapy baby’, and Remus was inclined to agree—it was hard to feel anything extreme when he was holding the pudgy little angel to his chest.
“So you fought?” Lily asked gently from the armchair across from him. Remus nodded. The whole story had spilled out in a gross mess of sobbing and baby snuggles until he laid down on his back, holding Harry to his chest as he dozed.
“I feel like an idiot,” he said miserably.
“Don’t.”
“It was awful.”
“I bet.”
Remus sniffled and kissed the top of Harry’s head. “Thank you for getting me. I didn’t want to be there alone.”
“I’m glad you called.” She took a sip of tea and gave him a look that he never liked. “Re, can I be honest with you?”
“Always.”
“I was kind of waiting for this to happen.” At his stricken expression, she folded her hands around the sides of her mug. “I don’t think you got married too early, because neither of you do big things like that on impulse and you love each other so much. However, I do think that you have a habit of trying to protect each other from the shit you carry with you. James did the same thing to me, and it sucked.”
“It does suck,” Remus agreed. “I hate the thought that he can’t trust me.”
Lily held her finger up and shook her head. “Nope. It’s not an issue of trust, is it? Why didn’t you tell Sirius that you were having trouble sleeping?”
“Because I didn’t want to worry h—oh.” Harry wiggled around for a moment and Remus adjusted himself so he was leaning on the armrest. “I think I get it now.”
“You guys need to talk about that at some point or it’s going to keep coming up.”
“Is that what you and James did?”
“No, we let it fester for, like, a year and then broke up for two weeks.”
Remus made a sympathetic face. “I forgot about that part. I should call him, huh?”
Lily shrugged. “It’s up to you.”
“I want to apologize,” he said carefully. The sore spot in his heart and chest still twinged. “But I’m still really upset. And hurt. And a little angry? Mostly worried. There’s so much happening, I just want to hold your baby.”
“Go for it, he’s having a blast. Lover?”
There was a shuffling sound from the other room before James appeared in the doorway. “Yes?”
Remus snorted. “Simp.”
“Yes, and? What’s up, darling?”
“Can I have some more tea?” She batted her eyelashes at him with a dimpled smile and he sighed, then took her mug with him into the kitchen.
“You only love me for my kettle!” he called over his shoulder with a grin.
“Maybe!”
Remus turned his head to look at Lily while he ran a hand over Harry’s back. “Lils?”
“Hmm?”
“Am I preachy when I’m upset?”
She frowned. “What?”
“Preachy. Like—like I’m reading out of a self-help book.”
With a heavy sigh, she stood up and walked to the couch, leaning over the armrest to kiss his forehead. “No, Re, you’re not preachy. You like being right, but you’re not preachy.”
“Sirius thinks we’ll end up like his parents.”
“I’m not surprised about that, either.” She brushed his messy hair off his forehead and braided a small strand along the front, then gave it a little tug. “Guest bedroom’s yours for as long as you need it, okay?”
“That might be a while.”
She shook her head and patted his shoulder. “It won’t.”
“Could be.”
“Remus.”
“Sorry. Sleep well, Lils.” He sat up slightly and covered Harry’s ears. “And you, eavesdropper!”
“Love you!” James laughed from the other room. Lily picked the sleepy baby up and ushered Remus into the guest room with a final ‘goodnight’.
-----------------------------------
“Am I an idiot?” Sirius asked.
The bed creaked as Dumo readjusted his legs. “No, mon fils, you’re not an idiot. You are a young man going through his first marriage spat.”
“I hate it. I hate it. I said horrible things to him.”
“It sounds like you’re both to blame.”
“No, I brought it up first.” Dumo huffed, and he let out a slow exhale into the pillow. “Okay, maybe—maybe we were both in the wrong.”
“Fights are rarely one-sided. You have a visitor.”
Something cold prodded Sirius’ ear and he groaned, then curled on his side to let Hattie onto the covers next to him. “Bonjour, sweet girl. Thank you for the cuddles.”
She licked his nose and he smiled, petting the velvety top of her head. “Are you staying here tonight?”
“I was thinking about it. Re’s got the house to himself for a bit, then, and he knows I’m here.”
“I’m glad you’re taking the time to calm down a bit,” Dumo said as he stood with a final ruffle of Sirius’ hair. “That’s a wise decision. Bonne nuit.”
Sirius mumbled a response and made more room for Hattie, then settled in for a restless night. He never wanted to sleep alone again.
----------------------------------
By some miracle, practice was more bearable the second day. Remus still ached somewhere deep inside, but it wasn’t like he had anything else left to suppress. Seeing Sirius was a relief; it surprised him at first, considering the explosive nature of the previous evening, before sliding into something that soothed him. If he could still find peace in Sirius after all that, they would be okay.
He knocked lightly on the side of Sirius’ stall after he returned from the shower. “Knock, knock. Ca—”
“Who’s there?”
Remus’ heart stuttered as Sirius looked up at him from the bench with an apologetic tilt to his mouth. Something clicked into place. “Can I get a ride?”
“ ‘course you can.” Sirius stood up just as Remus stepped forward, and they met in the middle for a tight hug. He tucked his face into the dip of Sirius’ collarbone and breathed in his shower-fresh smell, as well as the trace of laundry detergent from his shirt.
“Love you,” he murmured.
“Let’s go, mon loup.” Sirius pressed a kiss to his hair and they headed out toward the parking lot together; Remus caught Leo’s eye and saw him smile.
“How’s Dumo doing?” Remus asked as they turned out of the parking lot. Start slow, start easy. “Did you drop Hattie off at home before you came to practice?”
“Yeah, I did. He’s good, and Celeste sent me back with some brownies.”
Remus tentatively reached over and rested his hand on the side of Sirius’ thigh—his chest visibly caught before he relaxed into it and reached down to put his own overtop. “Harry’s doing well. Lily says he’s almost started running.”
“Did you go see them?”
“Stayed at their place last night.” He shrugged one shoulder. “It felt weird being there by myself.”
“Re—”
“I’m so sorry.” The words spilled out in a rush, despite his best efforts to keep it in until they reached home. “I’m sorry for everything I said to you, and especially for how I said it. I’m sorry I didn’t talk to you about how I was feeling, too. It should never have gotten to that point.”
“Apology accepted.” Sirius sounded a little choked up. “I don’t think we got married too soon, if that means anything.”
“Of course it means something,” Remus half-laughed as he wiped the dampness from the corners of his eyes. “It means everything.”
“I thought it might be too late.”
“Can you pull over for a second?” Sirius obliged, and as soon as he turned the car off, Remus turned to face him. He linked their hands, making sure Sirius was looking into his eyes. “It is never too late to talk to me, okay? I’m sorry if I ever made you think that it was.”
Sirius unbuckled his seatbelt and leaned over for a brief kiss that sent bubbling warmth throughout Remus’ entire body. “I’m so, so sorry for yelling at you. And for keeping everything in, even though we both promised to stop doing that. All that shit I said, it—it wasn’t true, Re, and I wasn’t thinking.”
Remus rested their foreheads together and wound his fingers in the short curls fanning Sirius’ face. “Honey, we’re not your parents.”
Sirius swallowed hard. “I know.”
“So you don’t have to be afraid that we’re going to hate each other out of the blue, yeah?”
“Yeah.”
“If—” His mouth went a little dry and he faltered. “If you want to take a break, or take things slower, I totally respect—”
“Nope, no, no, no,” Sirius interrupted, grabbing his cheeks and pulling him in for another fervent kiss. “I love you. I’m happy with you. I let my head get away from me, and I’m sorry.”
“All’s forgiven, love.” They sat in silence for a minute longer as Sirius traced his jawline. “Let’s go home.”
-------------------------------------
Sirius woke up in bed alone, which would have scared him if he didn’t know exactly where his husband was. He smiled to himself and got out of bed, grabbing a hoodie off their dresser before heading downstairs.
The kitchen light was on and music played quietly from Remus’ phone over the sound of running water. “You’re up late,” he said casually from the doorway.
Remus almost dropped a pot. “Jesus Christ!”
“Just me.” Sirius wrapped his arms around his waist as he set the pot on the drying rack. “Stressed?”
“A little. I forgot to do these earlier and didn’t want to leave them overnight again.” Sirius hummed his agreement and rocked back and forth, then took Remus’ hand and spun him in a slow circle. “Oh, are we slow dancing to the Billboard Top 100 now?”
“Very romantic, I know,” Sirius laughed.
Remus shook his head with a wide grin as they swayed, much too slow for the actual song but absolutely perfect. He was beautiful in the low light of their kitchen, puffy eyes from and all. “You are ridiculous.”
I’m the luckiest person alive. “I love you.”
“I love you, too.”
Sirius leaned down for a series of quick kisses, pulling him in until their chests pressed together. Remus let go of his hand and draped both arms over his shoulders, tangling his hands in his hair. “I know we can’t exactly control it,” Sirius said against his lips. “But let’s never fight like that again.”
“Deal.”

Leo Knut Loves Snow
All characters belong to the lovely lumosinlove.
This is complete fluff if anyone was wondering :)
For the purpose of my fic, the cubs moved into a house with a yard.
I had a lot of fun writing the Finn has a bad morning fic and my classes aren’t too hard just yet so I figured I would write some more. It snowed today at my college and I am like Leo and from the south so I decided I needed to write about that! Enjoy!
“Oh my god oh my god sweethearts, Logan, Finn, wake up it’s snowing!” Leo called out happily from his place by the window. Logan was starting to wake up but Finn didn’t even move. When he was out he was out. “Ugh Leo we live in the north, it’s not like you haven’t seen snow before” Logan muttered and then turned his face into the pillow to try to block out the light from the window and the adorable smile Leo was wearing. Logan knew that smile and would do anything, even get out of bed early to keep that smile on Leo’s face.
Leo sat down next to Logan and kissed him before cuddling up next to him “I know I’ve seen snow but I didn’t have it growing up and I love it” Finn started to wake up at the loss of Logan’s warm body against him and groaned “Ugggh what’s going on why are we up so early?”
Logan smiled and turned away from Leo to kiss Finn “Because Fishy, Leo realized that it’s snowing and is acting like a child” Logan gave Leo a rather goofy grin and Leo shot it back at him “You know what yes I am acting like a child. Because I am only 19. Do you guys not want me to be a happy excited 19-year-old from New Orleans who wants to go play in the snow?” He asked and then stood up and pretended to look sad.
Finn was still not fully awake and just made grabby arms for a hug from Leo. Logan could not let a sad look take away Leo’s goofy smile so he quickly jumped up to get dressed and yelled: “I’m coming I’m coming. Come on Finn we have to get up and go play in the snow with Nutter Butter.” Leo smiled brightly as he kissed Finn and pulled him out of bed for a hug before pulling him into the bathroom to get ready to go play in the snow.
The boys had a very quick breakfast of cereal and some eggs that Leo whipped up. They were going to have toast instead of cereal but somehow Finn managed to burn it all and that was the last bread in the house. (“I’m sorry Knutty I swear I put it on 2. I have no idea why the toaster decided to burn it” Finn said with a sad look when Leo walked into the kitchen “Its okay Fishy at least Lo hasn’t eaten all of the cereal” Logan walked in the room just as Leo said that and he looked offended “Why would I have eaten all of the cereal? And oh my god Harzy how many times do we have to tell you to stay out of the kitchen?” Logan laughed as he leaned against Finn while they watched Leo make the scrambled eggs.)
The next thing Leo knew he was outside in the yard with his boys and they were running around trying not to get hit by the snowballs they were trying to throw at each other. Leo looked around from his place on the porch to see Lo hiding behind the snowman that they made earlier and watched as Finn snuck up behind him and pushed him into the snowman knocking him over and covering him head to toe in snow. Finn stood over Logan laughing and didn’t even notice Logan reaching up to grab his hand until he was being pulled down onto the snow. Finn screamed as he was covered in the snow from the snowman and landed next to a very cold Logan.
Leo watched the two loves of his life laugh in the snow and try to bury each other and decided to go out in the snow and lay on the ground with them getting as close as possible and pulling them in for a hug because he was in such a good mood and wanted to show his love for his boys. As he hugged them he exclaimed that “This is one of the best days ever”
Logan looked at him and laughed “Days Knutty? It's been like 2 hours since we woke up.” Finn nudged Logan and kissed Leo’s cheek before waving for him to continue talking about the day.
Leo’s eyes sparkled with happiness and he looked at Logan “Yeah days, and if it’s already one of the best days ever it can only get better right? We have made snow angels, had a snowball fight, made a very cute snowman, which y’all apparently had to destroy and now we are laying in the snow cuddling and watching it snow more why wouldn’t it be a great day?” Logan looked offended “umm just so you know Leo we did not destroy the snowman that was all Finn” “Hey!” Finn yelled, “it was a necessary sacrifice. It’s death let me be here laying in the snow with both of you cuties. What could be better?” “Uhh I don't know being inside” Logan joked at the same time that Leo answered Finn by saying “Maybe kissing in the snow?” That response made all of the boys laugh and Finn kissed them both before proposing that they go inside and get warm.
They had just walked inside and the first thing that Logan said was “Can we have some hot chocolate? I'm cold.” Leo pulled both Lo and Finn each by one hand to the bedroom and said “Sure, let’s change out of these wet clothes first though Lo” as he walked into the bathroom and left them for a minute Logan pouted and Finn started helping him to get changed by taking his shirt off and running his hands over Logan’s bare torso. Leo walked out of the bathroom and smiled at them “as much as I love to walk in on this don’t you want some hot chocolate, Lo?” “Oh god yes I would love some of your hot chocolate. We have a lot of free time in the next few days for those other activities” Logan said as he kissed Finn and pulled him to the dresser so that they could actually get changed.
By the time Finn and Logan made it out to the TV room Leo was already sitting on the couch and there were three mugs of hot chocolate and some snacks sitting on the coffee table. “Awe thanks Knutty” Finn said as he grabbed a blanket out of the hall closet. Logan sat down right next to Leo but not close enough for Leo’s taste because he held out his arms and said “Come here Tremzy I wanna cuddle” Logan scooted closer to Leo’s side just as Finn walked back “I love you Nutter Butter and I love you too Fishy don't worry” Logan said with a smile “wow babes because I was so worried” Finn answered sarcastically. Leo just hugged Logan closer. “I love you too Loganberry and you too Harzy” Leo said, reaching out to pull Finn down to the couch with him. Finn smiled with a suspicious grin in his eyes “Awe so sappy I love you both too. So so much. Now hold me” he said as he jumped into their laps. “Oww Fish. Why do you act like you aren't a 6 ft tall hockey player?” Logan groaned but then all of them were laughing as Finn laid the blanket out over them and he got comfortable. Finn had his head in Leo’s lap and his torso sprawled across Logan’s and finally stopped squirming when he felt Leo’s hands combing through his hair and Logan’s hands rubbing circles on his back.
Finn smiled up at his boys. He had an amazing day and he knew that that would be his life with his boyfriends and there was nothing that he wanted more in the world than more amazing days like the one they were having. He wanted this day to last forever, “I know that I will probably fall asleep but anyone up for a movie? Maybe something with snow in it like Frozen?”

Logan woke up, unsure of what had roused him from his sleep until a movement by his hips gave him a slight idea of what, or who, had woken him. Picking the thick comforter up before looking down to a surprising but not unwelcome sight: a redhead hovering over his boxers with a smirk.
“Well good morning to me.” Logan rasped out, voice still rough with sleep as he reached a hand down to run a hand through fiery hair.
Finn chuckled softly, pressing a kiss to the other boy’s hip, “Happy birthday, baby. Now lay back and let me give you a present.” He demanded, tugging Logan’s boxers down his thighs.
Not needing to be told twice, Logan’s head fell back onto the pillow as a warm mouth enveloped his cock, “Oh mon Dieu.” He moaned out, fingers intertwining with thick hair.
Bobbing his head on the other boy’s cock, Finn watched as his boyfriend fell apart from his mouth. He knew Logan wouldn’t last long, he never did in the morning, so Finn wanted to make it count.
Logan felt a soft tap on his thigh and looked down to meet chocolate brown eyes. As soon as their eyes met, Finn slid his mouth all the way down until his nose pressed to soft curls.
Letting out a moan, Logan tugged on Finn’s hair as he felt his cock hit the back of his boyfriend’s throat, “Je suis proche! Je vais venir, mon chou.” He babbled out, trying to keep his hips from bucking off of the bed as Finn’s tongue traced up the large vein that came up the side of Logan’s cock.
Finn hummed around his cock, bobbing his head up and down again before swallowing around him. Logan’s back arched off the bed as he came, his boyfriend swallowing every drop before crawling to lay next to him.
“Good birthday present?” Finn asked, smiling cheekily as he pressed a kiss to the other man’s shoulder. Logan gently grabbed his jaw, pulling him in for a soft kiss, “The best kind of birthday present, mon chĂ©rie.”
Finn smiled into the kiss, brushing his dark hair from his face, “That’s good. Now it’s time to go see our Nutter Butter.” He declared, pushing the blankets away as he got up, pulling on some sweats.
Logan sat up, blankets falling around his waist, “Do I have to get dressed?” He pouted, watching as his boyfriend pulled on a t-shirt, that looked to be Leo’s from the way it fell to his knees.
Letting out a laugh, Finn leaned in to press a kiss to pouted lips, “You don’t have to do anything you don’t want to. It’s your birthday, but it is chilly outside those blankets.”
Sighing dramatically, Logan got up and pulled on the boxers that had been tossed onto the floor minutes before, “Fine.” He mumbled, pulling on one of Finn’s hoodies over his bare chest.
Finn smiled at the sight, pulling the smaller boy to his chest before a gentle kiss to his lips, “Love you, Lo.” He murmured against warm lips, feeling them curve into a soft smile around his.
“Love you, always, mon chou.” Logan murmured as he looked up at brown eyes.
“Now, c’mon. Leo told me to distract you for a bit, and I think I gave him enough time.” Finn said as he intertwined their fingers, leading the birthday boy to their kitchen.
The sight that met them would probably be ingrained in Logan’s brain for the rest of his natural life. Food, everywhere. All over the table and the counter, the stove. And in the middle of it, the chef. Leo was facing the stove, flipping something that was sizzling on the griddle. He mustn’t have heard them come in as he hummed to himself, dancing in front of the stove. The outfit was really what tied it together. Or perhaps it was the lack of an outfit? With his back turned, Logan and Finn got an amazing view of Leo’s lovely back muscles and his thighs, which were only covered by a pair of boxers. Leo was turning to check something when he saw the other two standing in the doorway.
A big grin spread across the younger boy’s face as he set down the pan, “There’s our birthday boy, good morning, mon chou. Happy Birthday!” Leo said as he pulled Logan to him, pressing kisses all over his now flushed face.
Logan smiled softly, looking up at Leo, “Good morning, Nutty. Thank you.” He sighed happily, leaning into the other boy’s touch. Finn wrapped his arms around the two of them from behind Logan, squeezing the shorter boy between them, “Looks like you’ve been busy, babe.” He said as he pressed a quick kiss to Leo’s lips.
Looking around the room, Leo blushed a bit, “I know it’s a lot. Maman used to do this for me on my birthday whenever she could. Cooking all of my favorites. Thought I’d bring the tradition here.” He mumbled, hiding his face in Logan’s hair.
If it was physically possible, there would be two hockey player sized puddles melted on their kitchen floor.
Finn tugged them both closer, grinning big as he looked up at the younger boy. Logan pressed a kiss to where he was smooshed into Leo’s chest, “Oh mon chĂ©rie, you’re just the sweetest thing.” Logan mumbled, smiling happily as he was crushed between his favorite people.
Leo pressed a kiss to both of the boys’ heads before gently pulling away, “Let’s eat before it gets cold. I tried to make your favorites as well as some of my NOLA favorites for you to try.” He rambled, pushing them both to a chair as he rearranged all the foods on the table.
Logan leaned into his hands as he looked around at all the amazing food, their house, and his lovely boys. Just listening to the two of them talking, He couldn’t ask for anything more.
He had everything he could ever want right here.
