Thoughts On Leo (Sun, Moon and Rising) 🌞

(In honor of it being Leo season in a week, at the time of me writing this)

LEO SUN

A truly confident Leo is confident. The kind of confidence that owns any room and stands out anywhere. Not every Leo is at that level but they are on the journey of getting there in this life. Some Leos might not feel like their Sun sign because they have foolishly convinced themselves that they were meant to be “regular”. No, a Leo is meant to be spectacular. Mind you, this confidence does not mean arrogance or putting others down. And while there are certain Leos who have a huge sense of superiority, most do not. The trouble is that this might be projected on to them by insecure people around them. In astrology circles, Leo tends to get a fair share of hate. For what exactly? Often times, just existing. A Leo Sun’s light (when they are really tapped into it) can be so powerful and overwhelming that it’s irritating to some people. People whose insecurities are triggered by the Leo’s presence or talent or self-assurance. As beautiful and life-giving as the Sun is, it can be difficult to take it all in at once. The insecure or less evolved Leo tries to dim themselves to put others at ease, which obviously ends up being counterproductive. Or they don’t even see the strength of their light as it burns those around them. So, when they have haters or intimidate others, they can’t understand why. The wise or evolved or secure Leo sees their light for what it is and lets it shine as brightly as possible. This kind of Leo knows their authentic self is a gift to those around them, as it inspires them to be freely expressive or confident, too. And those that are bothered by their glory? They will just have to get over it.

LEO MOON

If you knew a Leo Moon in high school and you ran into them several years later, chances are that they are still the same. This placement is like an eternal teenager. That doesn’t necessarily mean they stay immature all their lives (though some can). And, of course, we all have core personality traits that never change. But, something about the Leo Moon is fully formed at a very young age. In fact, this can actually make them very mature as a teen and then, once they’re grown up, they feel like they can be more childish. What age are they really? During their upbringing, they are typically bossy, no matter their birth order, and may feel like they can run things better than their parents, especially since their mother figure is often childlike or self-absorbed or particularly young herself. Out of all the Leo placements, the Moons are the biggest “main characters”. But, why does that have to be a bad thing? Everything they feel and experience is so heightened and it has to get out somehow, whether it’s art or fashion or making a scene. And most people benefit from being in the audience.

LEO RISING

Who is that? When you look at a Leo Rising or pass them on the street, you just know they’re somebody. Many of them make for great influencers or fashion models because they just have that face, that look, an aura about them that draws people in. Of course, they could also be entertainers of some kind. But, the irony is that Leo Rising attracts arguably the most attention of all the Leo types and are the least comfortable with or concerned with attention. They have real “reluctant celebrity” vibes. Many of them are actually huge introverts and just want to be left alone. However, they also have some sort of instinct for existing in the spotlight. It’s like they psych themselves out while everyone is looking at them or take on some sort of character to make it easier. Typically, they are very striking individuals, whether they are conventionally good-looking or not. They have a certain glow to them, an inner radiance, that can stem from either the joy or confidence they have within. They also look fierce, maybe even intimidating. Feline eyes. Sort of like how cats are gorgeous and powerful but don’t exactly seem welcoming. But, they’re actually sweet once you connect with them. ☄. *. ⋆*·˚ Leo suns are pretty warm people. I mean it as in they make you feel welcome in a new place and try to help you socialize with their friends. Even though they are really popular and usually in the center, they'll talk to you, pay attention to how you're feeling and encourage you to talk more in the group! It may put you on the spot, but that's how they show they care. I find it really sweet, they just want to help you get out there and approach people. They're great friends, especially if you were around toxic people previously, these fellas will kinda heal you in a way ❤️‍🩹

☄. *. ⋆ Leo risings also have a confident vibe surrounding them. Even those who are more on the introverted side give off the impression that they are quite dynamic? Idk how to explain this, they just kind of stand out. I think it's more obvious when they're with their closest friends, they're usually the ones cracking jokes, being loud, taking up a more leader-like(?) role. I love how they always listen to both sides of the story and try to find solutions that are fair to everyone. They're generally sweet and angelic, they tend to forgive a lot (don't you think they'll forget it tho, they'll probably be more cautious around you afterwards) up until you hurt them deeply. After that, they get sarcastic and cold, you do not want to get on their bad side. Regarding their physical appearance, I've noticed a lot of them have full lips and freckles (or multiple beauty marks on their face). I'm getting a cute energy just by looking at them, I don't know why, I just found every Libra I've met so far adorable in a way. Sure, they're mostly described as handsome and beautiful (and they are, not gonna lie) but I'm just seeing an innocent? youthful and carefree image of them. Also they're kinda curvy? Even the more lean ones are a little thick in the booty or thighs. 🤭

WHY IS EVERYONE LEO RISING ???

(REMINDER : I am NOT a professional astrologer. Everything I say are my personal opinions and not facts.)

First of all, I wanted to say sorry for not posting in 1 month. My 2 weeks and a half trip was not the most relaxing to say the least. But I still had fun overall!

Now, let's get down to the nitty gritty of things : Today's post will be about Leo risings, and like I said in the last post about Virgo risings (you can check it if you want here), this post will not be a description of their physical characteristics and vibes but instead be an open conversation to answer one of my biggest astrological questions : Are Leo risings the most common rising sign ? (Libra and Virgo risings will also be part of the conversation but not at the center of it, obviously)

This question has been bothering me for a while now. It feels like whenever i meet a group of people, i click on a few random profiles on astro seek , I, more often than not, encounter a bunch of Leo risings.

Even on instagram when some random people reveal their big three in their stories, or on their bios it feels like 4 times out of 10 it's a leo rising ?

I don't know if i am tripping but i feel like , after studying and learning about astrology for a little more than two years and doing, seeing and dissecting so many birth charts, i recently came to the conclusion that Leo risings might the most common rising sign.

Actually, this conversation seems to not be reserved to Leo risings only since Virgo and Libra risings appear to be also REALLY common rising signs.

-> EXEMPLE :

To give a real life exemple , last year i knew the rising signs of 20 people in my grade. To show you clearly how common some signs seem to be, i am going to make a list of each student next to their rising signs, calling each 20 of them student 1, student 2, ....

-> MY RELATIONSHIPS WITH THOSE STUDENTS :

Within those 20 students, most of them were good acquaintances and a minority were my friends. I did not have really profound relationships with most of them.

/!\ i am aware that only 20 people is FAR from being enough evidence to prove my point but i am just trying to show WHY i have been questionning the possibility of leo risings, alongside with libra and virgo, being the most common rising signs, and not prove that they are the most common because i clearly do not know and i need your help lol /!\

You can CLEARLY see that Leo, Virgo and Libra risings are the most common. (cancer risings seem also really common here)

Out of the 20 students , 10 are Leo, Virgo or Libra risings. They make up almost a majority of the risings, which is crazy regarding the fact that they are 12 possible rising signs, and only 3 out of the 12 make up half of that list.

The funny coincidence here is that , in the zodiac wheel, they are all one after another :

Leo-> Virgo -> Libra

Now , I remember seeing a while ago a youtube short explaining that the rarest rising signs are allegedly Aries , Pisces and Aquarius risings. I'll put the link if you want to watch it but to summerize she says that basically : Every single day for two hours (approx.), each one zodiac sign constellation rises on the Eastern Horizon. If a baby is born during the 2 hour chunk when Gemini is rising, that baby will have a gemini rising. The particularity that makes Aries, Pisces and Aquarius so rare is that those constellations only rise for one hour (approx.) each day. Since most of the signs rise for a longer amont of time (2 hours), you have a higher chance of having those signs on your ascendant and logically, a lower chance of having Aquarius, Pisces and Aries on your ascendant.

At the beginning, I said that I studied astrology for a little more than two years HOWEVER I haven't really studied (if not at all) the more "technical side of astrology", what the discipline and knowledge requires to be practiced correctly and accurately and to make the best interpretations possible.

That is one of the reasons why I am coming here : to seek help from professional astrologers who can not only clarify if what the girl in the youtube shorts is saying is true or not and why it is true, but also to tell me if my theory makes any sense, if there's some truth in it - > basically, to give us answers.

Appearance

☀️ The stereotype is they all have big hair. However, I’ve noticed this isn’t true. Their hair is a source of pride but they don’t always naturally have thick and big hair.

☀️ They take good care of themselves physically. Self expression through clothes, makeup, hair, etc. They don’t want to appear as a slob or lazy. Due to the work they put into their appearance, they love compliments & praise.

☀️ One thing I’ve noticed is the women often dye their hair. But unlike their fellow fire sign sag, they aren’t as impulsive about it. The leo risings I know all stick to natural colours when they dye their hair (brown, blonde, black, red).

☀️ My sag rising and leo rising friend are so different in this way. Sag rising will dye her hair blue at home on a random tuesday. Leo rising will plan it out based on the seasons & she will always go to her trusted stylist. Very loyal to one specific stylist. It’s in their fixed sign nature.

Personality

Sun placement is very important. Leo risings do naturally grab people’s attention but the reasons and the kind of attention vary drastically.

Ex: Leo risings with scorpio sun tend to be controversial. They receive the attention that comes with a leo rising but end up publicly scrutinized. The attention is on their personal lives/4th house. Secrets and scandals.

Ex.2: Leo rising with cap sun. This is one of the better placements to have imo. These people all tend to be well respected. They find themselves in positions of authority later in life. Admired, appreciated and respected. Most haters are forced to recognize your hard work and success.

Leo risings partners often are controversial. Your close friends or family or even business partners may voice disapproval. Often times the partner did nothing to get this reaction. (Except for one time when he was a cheater. Nobody wanted her to get back with him).

Most times, it’s specifically family that dislikes the partner. It may be due scorpio (4th house) squaring aquarius (7th house). It takes time for the family to warm up to the partner. Due to leo risings complex relationship with validation, the disapproval can mentally take a toll on them. ON LEO RISINGS ♌️

This is a part of a series on the rising signs, not necessarily in Zodiacal order.

Leo risings are ruled by the sun. The Supreme ego, the king. The ultimate self and not just the physical self it's the spiritual Higher Self - your soul. Western astrology considers that sun represents your soul. Vedic astrology considers it as a natural "AtmaKaraka".

Sun sign astrology maybe is overly emphasized in the west cause the west is egoistic by nature. But the ego should remain within limits, and it should carry us to the higher self which is the soul, in connection with the divine. Because you really are a soul, not the mind or the body. Leos are on a spectrum between too egoistic on one side and spiritual, in connection with the true Self, on the other side. It's not just black and white, that Leo friend you have is probably in the grey area.

Leo and Libra are the only two rising sign where a malefic rules both 4h and 7h. Libras are another story I'll give them their own post. 4h and 7h both require intimacy and emotional connection as they represent family and relationships. And that's what Leos want to run away from.

Leos should not listen to what other people like friends/community/neighborhood says as their ruler - sun - debilitates in Libra 3h. If they care about people's opinions they'll never embody the personality they want to embody, they'll never "shine" the way they want to, or advance spiritually.

Sun exalts in Aries 9h - exaltation is status - so they can even become spiritual gurus if they choose to. Or excel in higher education, occult studies, divination, astrology, academia etc you name it. Valens says sun rules high priesthoods.

The moon rules the 12th house so emotional connections can be isolating or bring over hidden enemies to Leo's life. 12h is also travelling and foreign lands. Leos find their home abroad, not in their home country. Jupiter the ruler of 5h exalts there so their joy is not in their homeland.

Now let's address the elephant in the room, saturn ruling 7h (Aquarius). Leos choose unconventional partners or partners whom their family/society/culture doesn't approve of. Aquarius rules wishes also. Leos should not do arranged marriages. It doesn't work. They have to have * their * wish, not their family's wish. If they marry someone chosen by others, heavy karmic retribution happen, and saturn will separate them.

The best example is King Charles, a Leo rising. Arranged marriage with Princess Diana - we all know how it went. In the end he got his wish - Queen Camilla - whom his family didn't like.

Leos want to be liked and admired like what's a king without the subjects? But for this reason they succumb to what society wants in every single thing (except one thing : relationships/marriage, here they draw the line). They are very traditional except in relationships.

Their family is likely to be toxic and controlling (Mars rules 4h, check the condition of Mars too) and their friends can be two-faced, tricksters and liars (Gemini in 11h especially if Mercury is in poor condition). But they stay with the toxic family and fake friends because it's good for their societal positions. They hang out with people they might internally despise cause these people help them reach high positions in society.

Following rules in everything except relationships can drive a wedge between Leos and their partners. The partner is practical, ambitious, rational, with scientific outlook on life - aquarius/saturn qualities. The partner doesn't like the people Leos hang out with. Or the fact that the Leo's family keeps meddling in the Leo's life and marriage. I have seen it happen with my own eyes for Leos. So even when Leos get the partner they wish for, they still have to be careful.

Leo's problems get mostly solved when they realize they don't have to please and cater to the society, family, friends etc whom they secretly dislike, when they realize that they're the soul, not the body or mind, and they don't have to keep satisfying the ego on this material plane, cause their true self does not want false friends or fake company to ascend in society...

And also when they realize there's just one truth, which is the universal higher power, you can call it God or just higher power, which the soul is a part of. The one universal truth is in the 9th house of higher truths and spirituality, where their ruler - sun - exalts. Exaltation is status.

Then everything in their life gets better. Friendship, career, relationship...and they can become great teachers who inspire humankind.
