i do love the non con vibes of it because it rings true to dean’s character in the context of his dynamic with sam, and this is exactly why i don’t think dean’s just a protective loyal dog most people compare him to, he’s canonically fully capable of intentionally hurting sam (and punishing him) to establish control over him (and post s4 sam starts to break and is willing to eat up any punishment from dean because of his guilt after their fight in 4.21). which is why dean’s both a dog AND a wolf. sam is safe with him because dean protects him from other predators but also sam isn’t safe with him because he trusts dean a little bit too much (“i had no idea that dean would do that to you” - “you and me both” -> getting stalked by dean after running away from him) and sometimes dean’s too hungry for control over sam and his teeth are sharp

and I get you I don't think I've ever fully agreed to loyal dog symbolism for dean because

a) i think its born out of the same side of the fandom that keeps harping for his domestication and

b) wolves suit him symbolically not just because they are very sharp predators in the wild but cause they are incredibly loyal to the concept of family. one of the few animals that display such devotion. they will stick with their family even when food gets scarce, even when some are injured and if anyone in the pack strays, they tend to drag them back by their teeth.

dean will protect him and he will go to any length to protect him. this is a wolf that can gnaw his own leg off if he needed to. sometimes he needs to grip onto sam because he feels him slip (to ruby, to demon blood, to hallucinations, to amelia) and he'd rip into sam's nape and there's blood in his mouth so he Knows sam's hurting but sam's here and atleast he's not leaving.

I feel a part of sam will always be afraid of him too. its like he's always bracing for a hit but I don't mean physical (those are mostly sudden if you notice, no build no nothing) I mean his derision, his contempt ("what about the next time you decide you can't trust me?"

like, the way he's always flinching in the later seasons? ofc not all of that is just dean cause that would be too easy. sam's trigger response is like a messy, overlapping healing wound and dean's sharp teeth sometimes catch on the loose skin of it

Trying to turn Red Meat into a d*stiel episode really just proves to me that a lot of these people want to ship Wincest so bad. This episode is so impactful and Dean's pain and dependency on Sam are so delicious, the ending bit about "losing the man I love" with Dean looking haunted is so clearly Dean coming to terms with almost losing Sam, and not only that but realizing that any death Sam experiences from here on will be permanent. Dean has lost control. And if there's anything Dean hates, it's losing control, especially when his baby brother is involved. Dean is teetering on the edge this entire episode and it's incredible to watch. And it's because of Sam. Like it always is.

Hele, už delší dobu nemůžu tohle dostat z hlavy, takže se musím podělit :-)

Lena stála v kuchyni před sporákem a míchala omáčku na těstoviny, když se kolem ní ovinuly dvě svalnaté paže a na krku jí přistál lehký polibek a do uší jí hlas zašeptal Hello love. Lena se s úsměvem otočila a říká Hello my wife. Kara se zářivě usměje."Víš, že se toho nemůžu nabažit?" "A čeho?" "Že ti můžu říkat my wife. Konečně po všech těch letech." "Věř tomu nebo ne, mě to taky přijde hrozně nereálné a přece tak úžasné."

Plot twist? Jeden z pravidelných čtvrtletních atentátů na Lenu byl úspěšný, ona teď leží ve věži v komatu a tohle všechno je jenom komatozní sen O_o. V reálu kolem sebe ty dvě pořád našlapují po špičkách a ani jedna nemá odvahu tu druhou pozvat aspoň na rande když už.. Ach jo, co mi to ten mozek dělá?

Ne, fakt, tohle je super myšlenka, plus obecně mám tenhle trope alternativní reality/kómatu/alleged memory loss dost ráda. Občas narazím na takový ten gif set, jak je Kara pod působením black mercy (takové té černé kytky z 1. série, co jí seděla na hrudi, způsobovala jí kóma a přinutila jí snít o tom, že je zase zpátky na Kryptonu s rodinou), akorát v tom upraveným gif setu sní místo toho o životě s Lenou a nechce se probudit - tak ten se mi mega líbí. Takže tohle je přesně můj šálek čaje, zvlášť když po probuzení bude následovat pořádá dávka angstu, doplněná happy endem, jak se patří. Ale i bez toho bych to určitě brala.

Jinak na tohle téma jsem zrovna dneska přečetla kraťoučkej one-shot, plus ještě o kousek dál od tématu je jedna z mých oblíbených fanfikcí, i když tu budeš nejspíš znát.

he'd try to move out of dean's orbit because he knows he doesn't want what dean wants (i dont buy into sam pining for dean actually his "attraction" is far more convoluted than that) and he wants dean to maybe move on once he realises that sam's serious about leaving. he just needs to put his foot down. he just needs to explain. this is for dean's own good (05.22 he wants dean to have normal too)

and dean's listening to him explaining this and he doesn't say anything. sam's talking to dean's back, dean doesn't even turn around. (or maybe he'd even say he understands. yeah sammy you're right, I'll find my own normal) and then sam leaves.

dean gives him a one day headstart.

the next day, dean's knocking on a motel room and sam's not opening cause he knows. he doesn't want to believe it tho. eventually dean ofc knocks the door down, backhands sam so hard he's immediately on the ground and dean's just had enough of this. he grips sam by the hair, pins him down on his stomach and pulls his pants down enough to push into him right there on the mud soaked motel carpet.

and sam's body is shaking, he doesn't know what's happening.

once dean's done, he'll dress sam up again, turn him back, and ask him while he's gripping his jaw "had enough me time? ready to come back home?"

sam's nodding cause he just realised this is it. it'll just be him and dean. cause dean doesn't want normal, he wants sam. and what sam wants? well, when has it ever mattered what sam wants.
