I think some neurotypical people don’t really understand how traumatic it can be to be an autistic child with ableist parents. Having uneducated parents who don’t care about accommodating you, or don’t bother to research is awful.

I was not diagnosed with autism until I was 16. I didn’t find out what it even was until around then. I had to beg my mother to find somewhere I could get diagnosed. Turns out I had ADHD & Autism all along (though personally I find myself more affected - at least socially - by my autism, though now that I know what’s up with my brain, I find it easier to identity what is which).

I wanted an explanation for my struggles, and I wanted help. Once I found out it was an option, I was told by my parents and by adults at school that there would be no point for me to get diagnosed. That I was too “high functioning” to need help. That A diagnosis was pointless.

My parents also told me that they suspected and assumed that I was autistic since around age 4. They didn’t tell me this until I started trying to figure out if I was autistic around age 16.

Throughout my childhood, both my parents would regularly tell me that I was completely incapable of emotion or empathy. They would flat out say this to my face. This didn’t stop them from being upset with me when I was crying (mostly because the sound of my crying was annoying) but growing up I was regularly told that I was incapable of empathy. Most recently I think my mom said this not even two years ago.

When I was around 5-7, occasionally my dad would hold me down on the floor and force feed me foods that I did not like the texture of. He would restrain me, and just shove it/pour it in my mouth depending on what it is. He justified this by saying I had to stop being a picky eater.

My mother would scream at me for stimming (she would call it fidgeting) and claim that me shifting around in my seat or moving was an attack on her. She would describe it as painful. She would grab my hands to make them stop moving. She would take toys away from me (not that I ever really had any other than occasional soft plushies) so I had nothing to move around. She would pretend call me disrespectful for bouncing a knee while excited. She would also cry if I ever sang and go on about how it was so unbelievably horrible to hear me sing and I should never do it in her presence because it was so awful that it might as well be a targeted attack meant to physically hurt her. She made sure I stopped opening my mouth around anyone before I hit 10, and I’ve barely stopped constantly worrying that no one notices my fidget toys I can finally get so I don’t “hurt” anyone in case they notice. (I’ve realized that most people don’t actually give a fuck.)

It gives the same vibes as trauma olympics or whatever. Like when someone vents and someone else goes “well I have it worse” and its like ok??? Someone will always have it “worse” but also someone will always have it “better.” Let’s focus on trying to make it all “better.” Trauma is trauma. Oppression is oppression. You should be able to talk about different negative experiences without someone going on about how this thing is worse or that thing is worse.

Anyone else get uncomfortable when different types of oppression are compared no matter what or is that just me getting bad vibes because it pretty much never feels comparable because different minorities oppression is very different from one another, even if they do overlap

Crepe Archives Master Post: Cookie Run: Puzzle World

⚙️ Cookie Run: Puzzle World is Devsisters’ attempt to join the Match-3 craze held by juggernauts like Bejeweled and Candy Crush, as well as smaller clickbait upstarts like Homescapes, Gardenscapes, Royal Match, and Toon Blast. This is also the only game in the series that is dedicated to a portrait-oriented UI instead of landscape like every other game. Ovenbreak is not truly portrait; although it plays with the vertical orientation on your phone, it still has the horizontal UI, making it harder to play and navigate menus as a whole.

While this game plays fundamentally similar to its Match-3 compatriots, Puzzle World has gone by two prior names before they settled on the title of Puzzle World. In closed beta tests before launch in 2019, the game was known as “Cookie Run: Jelly Pop” and then “Hello! Brave Cookies” in November of 2019. By January 12th, 2020, the game was unintentionally released on iOS and quickly retracted, but formally released on all mobile platforms on January 16th. They finalized their title on “Cookie Run: Puzzle World” on July 26th in an update that ran parallel with the launch of their second season. This is also one of the only live games in the series that does not rely heavily on gacha magichanics in order to meet Cookies, but Pets still fall under such a restriction.

Despite this game being teased since 2017, it has gone for a very long time without a proper update. Heck, this game hasn’t been updated after MY release update in Kingdom in April 2021! The only reason why this Master Post exists is because the game is still live, but its status could be described as limbo, especially so since any Discord channels on the official Cookie Run Discord server were closed from view.

I find it weird how some “endogenic systems” try to claim that “being endogenic” is something that has been proved by science. As far as I’m aware, there isn’t really any actual studies that prove it or anything. Its not like a scientifically recognized thing. It makes more sense to say that it could potentially be a thing maybe but like there’s not proof. The only studied cases of being a system involve trauma.

The more I come across “endogenic systems” on this app, the more I’ve realized that there isn’t really a consistent idea for what that is. Its kind of all-over-the place.

Anyways, you cannot be a system without trauma. That’s all.
