Promare (canon)

Zach, Lio's spouse, Meis and Gueira's little sibling. A lone burnish living on the outskirts of Promepolis. They're shy at first, and mostly remain reserved, but they're a lot more relaxed with Lio, Meis and Guiera.

They were brought back to the settlement by Meis and Gueira, where they meet Lio for the first time. They fall in love with Lio soon after, but it takes a bit for either of them to admit their feelings for each other. Meis and Guiera encourage Lio to make his first move.

They and Lio love ardently, yet quietly. They love each other more in private than public. Lio is fiercely protective, never wishing to see them suffer in any sense, though he is comfortable being vulnerable with them. They take care of each other with utmost care, keeping each other warm and safe for the rest of their days.

After the events of the movie, they find a new home together and begin a new life. Both are fairly relaxed, not wanting too much excitement and choosing to enjoy their peace.

Promare (Dragon Lio)

Zach Chevalier, Lio's partner/lover/mate. They are chosen as the yearly sacrifice to the local dragon clan, though Lio does not kill them.

They're very fearful at first, afraid to interact with Lio unless he's somewhat human-looking. He treats them well and cares for them, feeling bad about the whole situation. It takes a while for them to warm up and begin bonding.

Promare (Vampire Lio)

Zacharie Chevalier, the prince of the local kingdom, and Lio's husband. Considerably laid back for a prince. They aren't terribly interested in being a noble

They frequently sneak out at night to explore the town and it's outskirts unsupervised. Lio finds them, scolding them for being so careless, but they aren't afraid of him. He gets curious, and the two begin to meet up at night, getting to know each other.

They fall in love in time. Zach abandons their life of nobility to spend the rest of their life with Lio.

Code Geass (canon)

Zach Shirogane / Chevalier, Lelouch's partner (later spouse). Adopted by Britannian parents. They keep their birth surname after their parents pass, as they don't look Britannian and everyone would be racist and weird about it. They now live in the same apartment complex as Oghi, as well as part time at Lelouch's home and The Black Knights base.

Zach meets Zero first, having joined The Black Knights because they're gay and they hate the government. They fall in love with Zero despite knowing better. (And he falls in love with them, too.) He rescues them from being mugged in an alley one night, where he finally reveals his identity. And the rest is history. 

They're commonly found together, during and after work. Their relationship is made public (whether they want it to be or not), but Lelouch never minds. Zach is definitely more self conscious about it. They're both protective of each other, Lelouch choosing to shield them whenever he is able, though they sometimes protest. Their affection for each other runs bone deep, and they are always loyal to the other, regardless of any circumstances that may come their way.

Code Geass (canon past)

??? / Whatshername, C.C.'s former friend/lover/partner/it's complicated. A very gentle soul with a kind heart.

They only exist in her memories now. The two of them were together for a brief time, but they loved her with all their heart and continued to wait for her to return until their death.

C.C. doesn't think of them often, but in the present, she finds someone who reminds her of them a little too much.

Code Geass (Lelouch the Tutor)

Zach Chevalier, Lelouch's unpopular boyfriend. They're a junior at Ashford along with Lelouch and his friends. Both of them pine over each other before Lelouch asks them out. All the other students still adore Lelouch as if he isn't in a relationship, but he doesn't really pay attention. 

They are usually found together ditching class with Lelouch, and they're a de facto member of the student council (even though they contribute nothing).

Code Geass (Royalty)

Zach / Zacharie Chevalier, Lelouch's personal servant/companion, later partner and spouse. Both grew up together, rarely separate from each other by choice. Lelouch has always treated them more as a friend. They fell in love with each other early on, but it still took years for one of them to act. Lelouch confessed to them first.

They date behind everyone's back because Charles would kill them if he knew. Eventually, they marry after Lelouch promotes them to a noble class. 

Hunter x Hunter (canon)

Zach, Kurapika's partner. They meet after/during the Yorknew arc. Extreme slowburn. They're a transmuter, using their nen to create fire.

They worry themselves sick over Kurapika, although he insists they not. When he's home and things are calm, they enjoy a (mostly) peaceful life together. Kurapika cares about them way more than he lets on and is very protective of them.

Demon Slayer

Zach / Zenji Masamune, Rengoku's boyfriend, Tomioka's former apprentice. The Moon pillar. Almost always with Rengoku if time allows it. Both come off as very carefree and jovial, and they are, for the most part. They enjoy spending time with all of the hashira, particularly Tomioka and Kanroji.

They prevent Rengoku's death in the Mugen Train arc, but are killed in his place. Immediately following, they become a demon via Akaza's blood. They're a tame demon, like Nezuko, and Rengoku takes them with him from then on with a similar box. 

They're very hostile to demons and protective of humans. They retain vague memories of their life as a human and can recognize people they knew. They can speak, but only in short/one word statements.

Their relationship is a healthy one, both of them very supporting and loving partners. While they don't get to spent a ton of time together, they make the most of the time they do have, relaxing and enjoying each other's company. They both like to make each other laugh. They're also both fairly noisy conversationalists, to everyone else's dismay. Both care for each other immensely and always have the other's back.

Blood Demon Art: Shooting Star / Nagareboshi. Their physical abilities are exponentially increased, most notably speed and agility. Their marks glow brightly when activated. 

Persona 4

Zach / Zakari Shirogane, Adachi's…something. It's complicated. Persona is Tsukuyomi (holy). A young detective sent to Inaba to keep an eye on things. They catch feelings for Adachi (unfortunately). Their relationship officially begins after a night of drinking.

They stop contacting Adachi after the events of the game. They stay in Inaba post game, watching over the residents as Yu requested. 

They have a weird relationship. Zach very adamantly does not like Adachi, and has no problem letting him know that. Though they both know that's not the entire truth. Adachi loves to push their buttons and irritate them to no end. They get along like a house on fire. Yet, somehow, they always wind up going home together.

Adachi loves Zach openly in the only ways he knows how, which they always interpret as ingenuity. He tries his best to little avail. They reject him constantly, though they don't get why he keeps trying so hard.

Six years pass and Adachi returns to them and essentially moves into their apartment. They slowly learn to get along again (and maybe admit their feelings).

Bad Guys

Zach Tora, Wolf's partner. Meet post movie, they're new in the city and Wolf approaches them. They fall in love along the course of a few months. 

Genshin Impact - Mondstadt

Zacharie Hagan, Diluc's partner. Wolf boy archer with a Pyro vision. Nothing here yet cause I just like Diluc a lot and wanna hang out with him.

Genshin Impact - Inazuma

Zenyari Yae, Thoma's partner, Miko's cousin. Kitsune with an electro vision. Wields a polearm that looks like a lantern. A mischievous fox who likes to goof off. They usually hang around the city and pull harmless pranks on residents, as well as steal food from carts.

After scoping out the Kamisato residence, they find Thoma in the garden with some daifuku and decide to take it. This goes on for a few nights before Thoma catches them; he's mostly amused.

The two bond gradually after hours. Yari comes to visit and eat with him every night. In time, they fall in love, and they become less of a troublemaker.

Trigun (+ Trimax/'98)

Zach / Zacharie, Wolfwood's partner and Vash's brother. They're from the same town as Lina and lived there until both parents passed away, becoming homeless. They wound up living in a carved out cave near town. They picked up scavenging as a way to survive, as well as building their own stuff (mostly janky borderlands guns). They meet Vash as Eriks through him leaving food outside of their dwelling, and wind up becoming close. Vash assigns them "little sibling."

When Wolfwood arrives and Vash regains his memory, Vash stops by Zach's cave before they leave. Vash wants to bring them along, and Wolfwood agrees. They and Nicholas gradually bond over the course of their journey. Quickly, it becomes clear to Nicholas that Zach and Vash really are siblings due to their personalities and mannerisms.

Zach catches feelings for Nicholas quickly, but they never say anything, not believing he would reciprocate. They're in more of a situationship together at first. Eventually, somehow, they both confess and agree to an official relationship. 

Their relationship is very up and down, in the sense that they will irritate each other to insanity, then snuggle together at night when they sleep. Wolfwood cares a lot more for them than he lets on, which they're aware of. They're generally affectionate with him in public and private, while Wolfwood's level of affection varies. While both are perfectly capable of taking care of themselves, that doesn't stop the other from trying to protect them. At the end of the day, they do love each other deeply, and are willing to do anything for one another.

Dungeon Meshi

Zach / Zacharie, Mithrun's partner. A beast-man, and a former dungeon lord. The circumstances of their birth is unknown, though they've known they have always been a beastkin. They were adopted as a baby and lived with their tall-men family until they ran away, eventually stumbling into a dungeon.

The demon called to them, offering the life and freedom they always wanted, and they accepted. But their hunger was never fully satisfied. In time, their demon began to truly consume them. The Canaries were dispatched to seal the dungeon and captured Zach in the process.

Post story, when their relationship is established, it's fairly low key. Neither of them return to dungeon delving full time, choosing to live more peaceful lives. Mithrun loves them deeply, though he doesn't display it in many conventional ways. But he always makes it clear that he loves them just as much as they love him.

They were kept in custody until they calmed down, though several nights of mourning howls was irritating enough for Lycion to approach them and try to figure out what's wrong. He and Mithrun wind up being the only two that aren't afraid to get near the rabid wolf. Both of them try to held where they can, mostly by bringing them table scraps. Once they've regained their strength and their form, Lycion conveniently leaves the door to their cage open one night, turning a blind eye to let them escape.

Zach and Mithrun meet again two years later, during the events of the story. Zach recognizes him (and Lycion), though they're standoffish, and Mithrun gets curious enough to pursue them.

He’d made a promise… He promised her, damn it, and there was no way in hell she would ever let him go back on his word — on the promise he’d made her, no matter how insignificant it seemed in the grand scheme of things.

To him, it was probably just another task to get his parents’ nagging off of his back, but to her—

What would happen if Julius and Lelouch were twin brothers?

I hope you don’t mind, but I took the opportunity to write this out in fic form. Takes part in the AU I have of this (Part I - Part 2) but technically before Part 1.

Lelouch sat by Nunnally’s bedside, one hand holding hers and the other curled tightly in the covers. Nunnally was sleeping soundly, something that made him want to sigh in relief, although he didn’t dare make a sound. It was the first time that Nunnally was sleeping easily. That and Rolo was curled up on the couch on the other side of the room. His younger brother hadn’t been sleeping well either. None of them had.

He leaned forward so his forehead was resting against the side of the bed. He should be getting some sleep as well, but he doubted he would. 

It was the first night that both Nunnally and Marianne were back home, and he didn’t quite trust anything. It didn’t matter that there were more guards than the Aries Villa needed arranged around the house. Nor that Cornelia herself had looked over the arrangement. Someone had attacked his mother and sister once, and there was every chance that it would happen again.

Lelouch bit his lip, trying not to shake. He didn’t want anything to wake up Nunnally, not when she was finally home. She was finally safe, or at least safer than in the hospital. Even if he was worried about people getting past the guards at least there were guards. 

He curled his fingers more tightly into the covers, jerking his head up when he heard someone enter the room.

Lelouch sat up, reaching for the gun that he had brought with him. He wasn’t quite sure of his aim, even after an afternoon of being tutored by Guildford to try and pass the time until Marianne and Nunnally returned home. But it was better than nothing.

He shifted in his seat, barely having the time to lift the gun before his twin slipped into the room. Lelouch sighed and leaned back in his chair. He gave Julius a baleful look. “You scared me.”

Julius gave him an apologetic shrug. Lelouch shook his head and put his gun back down. When he looked over at Julius again, his twin was pulling a chair over to sit next to him. Julius paused to pull the blanket more firmly over Rolo before sitting down in his chair.

He sighed, staring up at the ceiling before looking over at Nunnally. “How is she?”

“Sleeping soundly. Mother?”

“The same.” Julius paused for a moment. “Father came to see her.”

Lelouch bristled, looking away when Julius groaned. He refused to look at his brother, even when Julius leaned closer. 

“He has every right to see her.”

“He has no right. It’s his fault they got hurt in the first place.”

“It’s not and you know it.” Julius reached out to touch his shoulder. “Father may be emperor but that doesn’t mean he’s in control of everything.”

“He might not be, but he is in charge of the guards.”

“Not when Mother was the one to send them away in the first place.”

Lelouch shook his head, swallowing back a disgruntled sound. It didn’t help, because Julius reached out to grab his shoulder. He wasn’t pulled back around, but the pressure was there. Lelouch sighed and turned to look at his brother, frowning as Julius as his brother spoke in a low whisper.

“Mother thought she was safe, which was why she called them off. It was just a mistake. If you had paid more attention to the investigation instead of shouting at Father then you would have known that. Lady Chaput has been struggling with money since her brother died, so she was desperate for anything. She took a pay off to give the assassins this chance. And she is going to pay for it.”

“I know that.” Lelouch shook his head. “I looked into it too. If you had been paying attention, you would have known that I was accusing Father of not caring about them while they were in the hospital. He never visited the two of them.”

“He’s a busy man.”

“He called Nunnally useless.”

“Well she is.” 

Lelouch froze, glaring at his twin.

Julius just sighed and shook his head. “You know I didn’t mean it like that. I love Nunnally. But Father is right. As a political entity she’s useless now. No one will take her seriously and she can’t be married off to another royal or noble. But that doesn’t mean he loves her any less.”

“If he loved her more, he wouldn’t say things like that.”

“He’s just being practical.”

“He’s treating her like a Number.” Lelouch took a deep breath, quickly cutting himself off when Nunnally shifted. He held himself still as he waited for her to settle. Only then did he sigh and look back at Julius. 

His brother looked concerned, as he often did. Julius often accused him of being an idealist, which was enough to make him laugh. He didn’t think that either of them could be considered idealists. It was just that Julius somehow saw their Father’s point of view as completely valid, and Lelouch couldn’t understand that.

He sighed and reached out to rest his free hand over Nunnally’s. “I don’t care if it’s practical or not. It’s family.”

“And he understands that.” Julius sounded annoyed, but none of that showed on his face. “But he can’t show weakness in public, especially at his age. As long as he’s alive the empire is safe and we’re all protected. Besides, we both know that Odysseus isn’t ready to take the throne.”

Lelouch frowned. They both knew that it wouldn’t happen that way. Odysseus might be the crown prince, but that was no guarantee of him taking the throne. There would be a war for succession, even private or public. Lelouch was sure that Schneizel wouldn’t give up any of his power, not for anything.

That eventuality was something that he didn’t want to think about, because he didn’t know how the four of them would come out of it. Even before Nunnally had been paralyzed he hadn’t known. 

“Hey.” He looked up as Julius spoke up, not sure that he could return his brother’s smile. “It’s going to be fine. And I’ve made sure that we’ll be in good hands. I know Cornelia is helping us with the guards, but I know she has business with the army soon. So I convinced Father to have a Knight of the Rounds attached to our household.”

It was something that should have happened sooner. That or the permission for the four of them to start looking for their own knights, but it had never come. 

It was on the tip of Lelouch’s tongue to say it, but he held himself back when he looked at Julius. His brother looked triumphant in a way that he hadn’t for the months that Nunnally and Marianne had been in the hospital. Underneath all of that he looked tired, they all were.

Besides, the offer of a knight may have come too late, but it would help them from this point on, which was all that mattered.

Lelouch nodded slowly, offering his brother a smile. “Thank you.”

Julius nodded. “Anything to keep us safe.”

Lelouch smiled back, leaning into his brother as they settled back into their vigil.

Lelouch: We’re leaving, Sayoko-san! Sayoko: Have a good day, Lelouch-sama, Nunnally-sama. Lelouch: I’m Lelouch Lamperouge, a 3rd grade high school student at Ashford Academy. I live with Nunnally who attends the school’s middle section.

Nunnally: Today the weather is nice as well. ...ah, there’s a sweet scent. Do you smell a sweet scent of flower on the wind, Brother? Lelouch: Ah, it’s true. Nunnally: I have a feeling something good will happen today. Lelouch: Haha, right, it could be the flowers are bringing good things along with them. Nunnally: Geez, Brother! Suzaku: Lelouch, Nunnally! 

Private Ashford Academy: Middle-School Section.

Lelouch: Then, I’ll leave Nunnally in your hand. Nunnally: See you later Brother, Suzaku-san. Tianzi: Good morning~! Suzaku: See you later. Today I'll pick you up again. - Suzaku: Lelouch, how about making up with your parents? Lelouch: Nope, not happening. In the first place it’s that idiot couple’s fault for not coming home. It’s helpless... Suzaku: But, Nunnally... Lelouch: ...or so I thought. 

Lelouch: It’s not like we can’t meet. As long as they send us allowance, everyday would be peaceful.  Suzaku: Well, if you said so. Then, I’ll go ahead for my morning practice. Lelouch: Yeah, see you. That’s right. Everyday is peaceful. Now, today’s schedule is...

Lelouch: Attending class normally, hanging out with my friends normally. Peaceful, ordinary days where nothing happens. Or should I say, things like these are probably all there is... Milly: My student council’s vice president, Lelouch Lamperouge-kun. The club activities in our school have become monotonous! Think of an idea for a new club! (It’s President’s order ❤ ) Lelouch: Seriously, President Milly... Lelouch: ...or that’s what I was thinking.

Lelouch & Nunnally: We’re home! Sayoko: Welcome home, Lelouch-sama, Nunnally-sama. A letter from Marianne-sama just arrived. Lelouch: From mother? Why bother sending a letter when she could have just called? Sayoko: I wonder, the fact is I don’t know the reason either. Lelouch: Who’s this fellow...? “C.C.”? Rather, no allowance? 

(Marianne’s letter’s summary: Her old friend named C.C. is going to transfer to Ashford and Lelouch is told to look after her and teach her things since she’s all kinds of “THAT”. If C.C. get a red mark it would embarrass Marianne since she asked the principal to take C.C. in, and as consequence there would be no more allowance for Lelouch.)

Few days later.

C.C.: My name’s C.C.. My favorite thing is pizza. Gino: “C.C.” she said, she got a funny name. Kallen: What an irreverent attitude Euphie: Oh, that girl.. Shirley: Euphie, do you know her?

Euphie: Well... I feel like I’ve seen her in my hometown before... Jeremiah: Hmm, alright. You sit next to Kozuki. Kallen: Eh!  Kallen: I’m Kallen Kozuki. Pleased to meet you. 

C.C.: ...I’m C.C. Kallen: Guess I don’t like her after all.

Lelouch: After walking Nunnally home, is Suzaku not left yet? Hn? C.C.: You’re in the way. I can’t see the front because of pizza here.

Lelouch: Ah, sorry. Pizza delivery? But she’s wearing our school’s uniform... It can’t be... C.C.?! C.C.: Hm? Are you Marianne’s son?  Lelouch: What’s with that condescending attitude

Lelouch: I’m Lelouch Lamperouge, there’s something I’d like to ask you... C.C.: Hoo. What is it, do you want to know my “three sizes” (bust waist hip)? Lelouch: “Three sizes”...? H-haah!? What’s with this woman! No one would ask about "three sizes” in their first meeting! So this is what mother meant by “THAT”! I have to look after someone like this..! Nunnally: Big brother? Welcome home.

C.C.: Hoo, who’s this cute girl? Nunnally: O-oh! Are you my Brother’s guest? I’m his sister Nunnally.  C.C.: I’m C.C.. From today onward I’m going to live next door. Pleased to meet you, Nunnally. Lelouch: Hey! Don’t ignore me!

C.C.:Oh, right, Lelouch. I have something to ask from you. Come to my room later. Lelouch: What do you mean you’re an old friend of someone like this, Mother! Nunnally: Um, Big Brother? Is everything alright?

Nunnally: Big Brother, aren’t you going to C.C.-san’s room? Lelouch: ...why do I have to go? Nunnally: But you have to keep your promise. Lelouch: I never said I was going. Nunnally: Geez, Big Brother! Listen to what I say!

*Ringing bell*

C.C.: Oh. You’re here. Lelouch: Sorry to disturb you...-What’s with this mountain of cardboard! C.C.: Don’t worry about that. More importantly I have something to ask.

C.C.: This. How do I get this mascot? Should I order a lot of pizza? Lelouch: Hn? It seems so. “Cheese-kun”? C.C.: I see. Then from now on it’ll be pizza everyday.  Lelouch: Haa? C.C.: Do you want it too? Lelouch: No, that’s not it.  C.C.: Is it money? If it’s about money don’t worry, I have lots. Lelouch: This girl is hopeless. She lacks too much common sense...

Lelouch: Sigh. By the way, how’s your study? C.C.: ‘Sturdy’? What’s that? Lelouch: Your grade in school! (You aren’t done eating that yet?) C.C.: Oh. I don’t know. Lelouch: You know how much money you need to order how many pizza, don’t you? No matter how lacking of common sense she is, please let her grade at least be average! C.C.: Things like that, of course I’ve never thought of it. (Rich person)

Lelouch: It’s hopeless! At this rate she’s definitely going to get red marks! I won’t get allowance either! A job? Do I have to get a job? ...Wait. That’s right, if I get hired as a tutor... Lelouch: You said you are rich? C.C.: Hn? So what if I am? Lelouch: Then hire me. As your tutor, I will drill you with studies and common sense! 

Lelouch: What do you think?  C.C.: But what’s in it for me? It’s not like I want to be an honor student. Lelouch: I need you to raise your grade. C.C.: Then, what do your offer in exchange? Lelouch: I’ll set up a pizza club in the school. C.C.: ?!

Lelouch: But. Only if you make it to the top 3 of your class, that is. C.C.: W-wait! What do you mean by ‘pizza club’’? Lelouch: Yeah. The first pizza club in our school will make a pursue for the ultimate pizza. C.C.: The ultimate... pizza?

C.C.: THE ULTIMATE PIZZA...!!!

C.C.: ‘The ultimate’! How the ultimate pizza is like?? Lelouch: I can’t tell that except to the members of the club. It’s the purpose of the club after all. C.C.: Then I just need to make it to the top 3 of the class, right!? I will hire you, Lelouch! (Fell for it) (Eyes: PIZZA.)

Lelouch: Very well. I won’t go easy on you so be prepared. C.C.: You too, having said that far, let’s see if you can raise my grades.

Lelouch: I’ve taught you how to solve this problem before, are you listening properly?! Get pizza out of your head for once and start being motivated about this! (Get your study done!) C.C.: It’s your job to make me motivated! What else is a tutor good for, then?! You incompetent! If I can’t enter top 3 it’ll be your fault! (Get your job done!) Lelouch: What did you say?! Your motivation is your own problem in the first place! C.C.: If you’re a man, try to get a woman in the mood!

And that’s how I become C.C.’s private tutor.
