ok, we know that wanda is the sweetest of girlfriends.

she would literally move WORLDS (and multiverses) for you.

wanda certainly loves to pamper you in the best way.

occasionally she uses her abilities on you, but it's so rare because she's afraid she might hurt you by accident.

kisses and cuddles when you need them.

the fights between you are intense, but wanda loves you so much that it's impossible for her to really let you go all at once.

you are like best friends with each other, the ones you would trust with your life.

your girlfriend is... taylor sloane.

taylor is clearly a total dominatrix.

she LOVES the control she has over you.

to the point where she does drama to get what she wants.

but at the same time, she's a caring girlfriend and would probably drop any project just to pay attention to you.

she also likes to post pictures and show off your relationship to the world. She makes sure that the moments between you are always saved somewhere.

the fights between you are usually pretty hot too, and it's always the same reason: exaggerated jealousy and the pressure she puts on you.

but you always end up working out one way or another.

your girlfriend is... zooey kern.

personally, for me, zooey is the best on the list.

she may seem extremely laid back at first, but when you least expect it, she's capable of anything to surprise you.

and when I say anything, it means anything at all.

you guys love to drive around aimlessly, just enjoying the music on the radio and the ever-changing landscapes.

by the way, music is something that surprisingly involves your relationship almost completely.

zooey knows she can't fight you, but it's her instinct to be extremely overprotective of the things you do, and that can get pretty annoying.

your girlfriend is... jane banner.

you can expect jane to be controlling.

this is bad, but it's good at the same time.

in fact, she would equally move worlds for you.

including facing people who might treat you badly or criticize your relationship.

she is still a little afraid of losing you, because there were too many personal reasons for her to come to terms with who she was.

jane has her romantic side and makes a point of showing it to you when she feels like she needs it.

the fights between you are fervent and usually end up in a breakup or a night out.

but she always ends up admitting that she overreacted and promises that she won't raise her voice at you anymore, even if it seems impossible.

your girlfriend is... leigh shaw.

leigh has been through a lot to get here.

and she doesn't want that to happen again with you.

she has issues too strong to deal with alone, and you have become her safe haven since she appeared in your life

that's why she's sure you're the one.

leigh will do anything to make you feel loved, from sightseeing to places where you both have a story.

even cuddling in bed and secluding in your room.

a lot of music.

and you wouldn't dare fight with leigh, ever. she's too good for you, and you couldn't imagine a world where she wasn't by your side for your whole life.

i'm going to ramble for a minute because i am both greys anatomy's biggest fan while simultaneously being their biggest hater and i have a lot to say.

the show is terrible. i love everything up to s8 and then tap out after s11. i physically cannot watch anything after derek dies. i've watched up to s16 completely and now for the last 4 seasons have been keeping up through spoilers and clips on tiktok but i cannot will myself to keep going. and it's not because it's been renewed for s21 but because it's just so bad.

the last good season was in 2012, which is when it should have ended. the plane crash should have been the end of the series. it would have been a good year to end it. private practice ended in 2012, house md ended in 2012. those shows knew when enough was enough, and given the fact that private practice was a spin off of greys anatomy let's me know that the show runners know when enough is enough, they just don't know how to figure it out for greys.

i understand that it's one of those shows that fans are clinging to because it's a comfort show, but recycling storylines and character arcs just aren't cutting it anymore. they've killed off all of their good characters and are now trying to patch it up with characters that will never compare to previous cast members. they have no original storylines left because there's nothing left to do. and don't even get me started on the fact that they've been trying to replace derek since the moment he died. i don't even think meredith got a full season before they were throwing new love interests at her, and while yes, i liked other more love interests than other ones, there's no replacing derek. yes derek might have been a walking mcredflag but i am a derek shepherd girlie 100% and killing him off should have been the end. like if they were going to extend it past the plane crash, derek's death should have been the end.

another thing that bothers me - ellen pompeo's status on the show. she is the main character. if the main character has to step back because her brain "feels like scrambled eggs" and becoming a recurring guest star rather than in the main cast, that should be a major sign that it's over. enough is enough. you can tell in the last few seasons that she's become so monotone and robotic. she's not meredith anymore. it's obvious that she doesn't want to be there, and yet she keeps getting roped in to more episodes.

like i understand keeping the show going for the super fans who will binge the entire series and for the new watchers who started watching the newer seasons but it's to a point where seeing the announcements for another season actually angers me. bringing back old characters doesn't change how shitty the show is. did i love the beach scenes during the covid season? yes. do i love that they've brought addison back a few times recently? yes. was arizona's episode last week make me a little excited? perhaps. but it's not enough.

Phil's arms had dropped to either side, obligingly, as Leigh had drawn his sleeves down and past each of his hands in turn. His undershirt had lasted perhaps only another minute on his torso before she'd sent her arms snaking up under it to feel his chest, both its musculature and the coarse hair adorning it, and then dragged it up and over his head and arms to toss it aside.

His own hands had done no less by this point, tugging away her shirt and gently unclasping the hooks of her bra, though the garment still hung from her shoulders. But with the fingers of one hand gently working her into a warm frenzy, the other hand sought to occupy itself by cupping her face and drawing her close for kiss after luxurious kiss.

Her hand between his own legs served as reminder that he wasn't the only one of them capable of driving the other wild. He felt himself swell in her palm just from the sensation of her gentle, insistent touch, even through the cloth of his briefs.

Her whisper of desire against his lips did nothing to quell that surge. And so, he shifted both hands, tugging her onto his lap, and took her face in both hands to look her in the eye.

oh, absolutely!!! though, fair warning - my ideal dr is a horror/thriller moonlighting as a romance so! def read the warnings.

Little Dove by Layla Frost. Maximo, honestly, is my ideal mmc. cold, collected, cunning, unflappable, with a cruel and sadistic side (but never directed toward the the fmc), and wholly devoted to Juliet on a level that would probably land him in jail irl

Then, Earth Swallowed Ocean (book 1) by Shiloh Sloane

"Southern Gothic Werewolves Fight the Devil" that's it. this is the book for me. Shiloh Sloane is my favourite author. genuinely, truly. i love her writing, i love her characters. i love her for her tiktok bio alone: I write love stories whose trailers would have Ethel Cain music in ‘em. obsessed with her. i stalk her daily on insta and tiktok. but the book: it's more horror erotica than DR, but to be totally honest, this is so far up my alley, it was practically written for me. werewolves, the devil, smut, an INSANE mmc (obsessed, mean, possessive), a strong fmc, and it's set in post WW2 Appalachia. instant fave. when i die, bury me with this book.

Cracked Blue Sky (book 2) by Shiloh Sloane

features a native fmc and i know Shiloh Sloane is white, but how she shapes Howie Black Elk was pretty realistic. i loved how much she reminded me of a few cousins, aunties. love this book!!

Snuff by Bonny Capps

dark horror erotica that you absolutely should heed the warnings to. i loved it. 5*. but it does end up on several dnf lists for being brutal and disgusting. fmc goes to Russia to discover her roots, is taken by the Bratva to feature in their "passion projects" (snuff films!), but the mmc decides he wants her all to himself. if you're queasy about totally irredeemable mmcs (sadistic, vile, possessive, obsessed, cruel), then this probably is not for you, but lucky for me, i'm into that. def on my "i couldn't look my therapist in the eye for a while" collection, though.

Lemonade by Nina Pennacchi. mmc is irredeemable (cruel, vile, obsessed). historical romance (Victorian). also on the collection. Little Mouse by Emily Rose. mafia. age gap. A Stone's Throw by Stevie Sparks. age gap (dad's best friend. Scottish hero. auction. weird rich people doing weird rich people shit. God Of Vengeance by Michelle Heard. age gap. mafia. found family. i re-read the bound series this week and my favourites are Bound by Vengeance (Growl and Cora), Bound by Duty (Dante and Valentina), and Twisted Pride (Remo and Serafina). anything by Lilith Vincent. Brutal Husband is dropping in October and i cannot wait. The Devil's Vice by Mindy Paige. trauma bonding. motorcycle gang. age gap. Little Stranger by Leigh Rivers. revenge (fmc sends mmc to prison and he gets out and comes for her). insane mmc. Spectre by Shiloh Walker. kidnapping. violence. neuro-atypical fmc. Slashed by Thalia Sanchez. fmc wants to become a Final Girl. Slasher!mmc gives her just that.

also, not a romance but if you're into dark books with compelling characters, Break Her by BG Harlen was sooo good!!!! the premise is that a professional rapist is sent to break the fmc and it's such a good psychological thriller. def not for everyone though. A Beautiful Evil by Eris Belmont has no HEA but a very brutal and malicious mml. God's Eye by Ansa Reads is brutal. loved it, dgmw. but it's def not for the faint of heart.
