Dating headcanons with Mei and a GN!reader whose personality is the complete opposite from her? (e.g. while she tends to be a lot more hyperactive, impulsive, and hardheaded, her partner helps keep her feet on the ground with their much mellow personality, balancing each other out)

A cute scenario for this could be when she’s being trained by Master Subodhi, and becomes frustrated at how things aren’t working out how she’d expected in the beginning. It would be sweet to have a moment in which the reader gives her a makeshift star to make her feel better during a moment of vulnerability, or smth? Not sure if this makes any sense akdhshs just a nice thought

You could hear Mei aggressively stomping around in the outside perimeter of the training dojo. You stepped out, seeing her gnawing on one of the training dummies, teeth making dents in their material. Unaffected, you walked closer "Training went sideways again?" You asked calmly. Mei hopped off of the dummy, green fire sparking and igniting her landing. "Yes!" She replied in a near-snap "That Su-dummy guy won't get off my tail!". She huffed as she spoke, a puff of smoke coming from her nostrils as she did so "I've been working just as hard as everyone else! So what if I have a 'temper'?!"

You walked over, putting a hand on her shoulder, gently massaging the tense muscles there a little "Maybe that's what he wants you to work on. Don't you remember your meditation with Red Son? Keeping calm was a big part of it". "Yeah, but-! But! Graaaaghh!" Mei grunted, giving a hard kick to the nearest item. A student who had been walking in very slowly backed out. You sighed, catching up with your companion. "Xiaojiao, take a deep breath" you said gently "I know it's hard, but you've also just started out. It'll get easier"

Mei heaved a deep sigh, shoulders slumping as she subconsciously leaned into your presence "I know, that's what they keep saying. But it's hard! Sandy keeps getting all those stupid stars so easily, and he does, like, nothing!". You nodded, rubbing her back as she vented. "I'm sure master Subodhi has his reasons. He's been doing this for like thousands of years, right?" You offered as a means of reassurance. Mei crossed her arms over her chest, pouting as she put her head on your shoulder. "I guess... still sucks though" she complained moodily "I don't get anything for all my work". You glanced at her face, seeing the hint of vulnerability there. You gave her a very gentle nudge "Are you sure you got this?"

"Of course!" Mei replied instantly "I'm just as good as MK, or Sandy, or anyone else! Just cause I'm not the one with all my work up in buildboards and stuff doesn't mean I can't do this". You gave an acknowledging hum, pressing your head to hers "Well, if it helps any, I have something for you". She tilted her head to look up at you, all her previous anger faded to curiosity. You reached in your pocket, taking out a small, shiny silver star. It was shaky, and with some odd dents here and there, but you handed it to her anyways. She held it in her palm, poking at it with her other hand "Whassthis?"

"Well... I know you've been working hard," You began "They might not see it, but I do. And... I thought it might help if I could show you that. So I tried making my own stars" you explained. She leaned up, looking at the makeshift badge with a bit of a shine to her eyes. "Do..." You began quietly "Do you like it? I know it's not quite the same, but-"

You got cut off when she suddenly pulled you into a borderline bone crushing hug, lifting you off the ground a little with her strength. "This is so cute!" She praised, looking up at you "Thank you so much! MK is gonna be sooo jealous when he finds out I got the better star" she added, finally putting you back down. You rubbed your now sore sides "Ack- the 'better' ones?" You asked, and Mei nodded, smiling brightly. "Yeah! Cause it was made by you, duh!" She responded, as if it were obvious. You felt your face warm at that, especially when she wrapped her arms tight around your shoulders and pecked a big kiss to your cheek. "You can be my luckiest star anyways" she said, giving you a little wink.

You chuckled softly, pressing your forehead to hers "Wanna take a break? I think that dummy's had all it can take". She smiled proudly, nuzzling into you "Mmmm only if you stay with me". "Of course" you reassured, taking her hand as you began to walk her inside "Just... promise not to break anything else". "I can only try" Mei joked, giving you another little kiss

Xiaolan - childhood

Surprisingly, Wukong took a responsible approach to raising his daughter. One of his wise decisions was to keep her existence a secret from the rest of the world. Xiaolan was very bored living on FFM. Although sometimes her parents took her to human settlements in the form of people, but this was extremely rare. Also, because Wukong and Macaque kept her existence a secret, it became a reason for her loneliness. She had no friends to play with (although she did play with monkeys, she still felt lonely and wanted to play with other children). Seeing human children laughing and playing games, she wanted to join them. Sometimes her parents let her play with the children, because they understood she was an active child who needed to interact with others. But they did not give her the opportunity to get close to the children well in order to protect her daughter from the pain of losing friends. They were ordinary mortals, and she was a creature who would live for centuries and outlive all her friends.

But sometimes they forget whose daughter she is.

As a result, being almost in her teens (by human standards, she would have been almost 14 years old), thanks to her abilities, she secretly escaped from the mountain and went back to the human settlement. Well, it's not a settlement anymore, but a city. Just like before, with her own strength, Xiaolan transformed into a human child and began to wander around the city. That day, Macaque and Wukong almost had a heart attack when they couldn't find their daughter on the mountain. They were already thinking the worst, that either demons or heaven had found out about her and abducted her. When she was found in the city, they made such a scandal for her. They shouted and threatened, but it wasn't just out of anger, more out of fear of losing their beloved daughter. But when they heard the reason for their daughter's action, they cooled down a little. As a result, they had no choice but to take turns or visit the city together, as before, so that their daughter could communicate with other children.

When visiting the city, Xiaolan made her look younger than she was (that is, if she looked 14 at her usual age, then she made her appearance for 7-10 years).

So one day, while walking on the playground while Wukong was looking after her, she met two children with whom she instantly had a connection. And yes, those children were MK and May. She became so close to them that she forced her parents to visit the city EVERY day to see her new friends.

As a result of these events, the life of the monkey family underwent significant changes. For the sake of their daughter, they partially moved to the city by creating fake identities. Their daughter started going to a school where her friends were (in fact, Macaque was overjoyed when he saw his daughter's strong desire to learn).

And so the years flew by.

Xiaolan, or simply Suun to her close friends, has come of age. She continued to live the ordinary life of a teenager.

But one day everything changes. The day when MK raises the staff of the Monkey King.

Now, this has led to her having to lie to her close friend to hide that she and the Monkey King's daughter are two different personalities, just like her parents' personalities. This led to difficulties and new challenges, especially in terms of self-discovery and understanding one's own feelings.

Scene 1:

Xiaolan: "Are you okay?"

MK: "Angel?"

Xiaolan: "What?"

Scene 2:

MK: "Are you hurt, Suun?"

Xiaolan: "No... I don't... wounded..."

I do love how Mk and Mei are these boundless ball of energy, always trying to make things right. But when things go wrong, he breaks down, happy demeanor gone, crying and spilling everything. I love that the group doesn't leave when it's gone. Because people tend to leave when someone's happy joyful playfulness is gone and there just breaking down because there so used to the happy person that they don't know what to do and just leave. I love that for the show that they don't do that to Mk or Mei. That the group stays and tries to help and get through to them :]

I know that people have brought this up before but I need to give my opinion on this matter.

Red Son can rock the Shants and ya'll are just haters that hate seeing a girlboss succeed in being both efficient and fashionable.

This applies to Mei as well btw

LMK x Madoka Magica AU

Majority of the main cast have made a contract with an incubator (mk, mei, red son, wukong and macaque, probably tang as well). I think Bai He would also be a magical girl!!! of course. I have some ideas that i am still fleshing out.

The most important thing would be that everyone's stablished powers in the show aren't part of the contract they've made! Maybe they'd have separate abilities that would go well with the ones they already have. This also applies to the weapons! The golden staff, Mei's sword and etc are things that they can keep without the need to be in the magical form.

The story follows a similar chronological line as the original show, except there's a few minor alterations. Per example, Bai He *is* possesed by Lady Bone Demon, but instead of surviving after being rescued, she turns into a witch during season 4 and the few seconds of her we got during the special would be replaced with the moment she turns into a witch. Now, the reason why Macaque, Wukong and Tang are magical girls despite being adults? Obviously they signed contracts while younger, but it's weird that they've managed to stay like that for so long.

I think Tang simply led a normal life and had people he could trust on, like Pigsy and Sandy, later in life MK would arrive so he has lots of hope near him.

Wukong being a magical girl mean he isn't able to retire like in the show, and he is forced to wander around Megapolis looking for witches- This means he rarely spends time in Flower Fruit Mountain. And maybe due to his inmortality his soul gem doesn't work like one of a mortal. It darkens much slower.

Macaque died before turning into a witch. His soul gem 'turned off' when he died and reactivated when LBD revived him. So yes he is a very conplicated case to work with- Also, i think Homura's character fits him SO WELL and i want to put that into the AU because it would be GREAT if explored through past shadowpeach. like imagine his constant love/hate for wukong taking over him and killing him from the inside. He's a mix of Sayaka AND Homura and i love him for that.

MK's monkey form is triggered by the transformation, and it obviously hurts, so he tries not to get into much trouble. Mei's transformation gives her dragon horns and scales, Red Son's transformation gives her bull traits (horns, ears and tail altogether).

Here's concept art of Mei and MK's outfits! Mei's is sea dragon themed while Mk's is stars and sky themed. These are not final and i do plan on making them more detailed as i do the digital color testing and ref sheets! like i said, just concepts. :]
