I haven't started to draw yet, so as of now, I'm only going to take writing requests.

Good morning casually going to summon the lego elves fandom here by talking about an oc idea I have.

So Shadow bats.

They're adorable little poof bats. Need I say more?

They also seem to be able to travel from the shadow world to Elvendale on their own without Noctura's assistance, as seen by Vespe in the webisodes, who was in Elvendale spying on the elves prior to all the magic being stolen. (This may have been possible since Noctura had all the fire magic in Elvendale at the time, but then again we don't know when exactly Vespe entered Elvendale or when Noctura drained all fire magic.)

Vespe also shows that the shadow bats aren't under mind control or some sort of magic that forces then to be loyal to Noctura. If they wanted to they can literally betray her. They have their own free will and can act however they want.

With those in mind here's my oc idea:

Basically an air elf who found one of the shadow bats injured and decided to take care of it. They probably worked with various other animals before so like an animal trainer/healer elf. I'm debating if I want to give her a dragon that kinda looks like a bat, but not exactly a bat. (Wyverns maybe?)

Because of the Shadow bat's origins they never seen a bat before and have no idea what it is, other than that it's precious and should be reunited with it's family.

Also who wouldn't want to put a cute poof bat inside a little pouch

My 2nd idea for a Lego Elves set remake would be Ragana's Magic Shadow Castle.

In terms of piece count, like my first idea for Skyra's castle, it'd be between 2000 & 3000 pieces, on a similar scale to the large Friends sets like Andrea's Modern Mansion.

It'd expand on the original set with a throne room for Ragana, as well as a bedroom for her, a dungeon with trapdoors leading into it and bedrooms for Jynx & Dusti.

For a side build I'm thinking the Shadow Fountain, maybe with a play feature to have Noctura rise from it, either an actual Noctura minidoll or a sort of "ghost" of Noctura on a sticker or printed piece (like when she first reveals herself to Ragana in the webisode), though it could be a separate set (hopefully not a GWP)

For the included minidolls I'd have:

Naida

Aira

Azari

Potentially Noctura

Candi (jk but it would be funny to have her with Ragana)

For animals, it'd come with Jynx the cat and Dusti the fox and at least 1 frog (Lego Elves surprisingly was a frogless theme). It'd also come with the dragon egg of the original, I think Elandra would be in her own set, which like the original would be a sort of outpost of the castle elsewhere (I think it should still come with Ragana to make her more available in cheaper sets, helps keep the resale value low for "investors")

“Wait…the Sky Castle? As in the place where we almost died a few months ago?” Farran’s face twists incredulously. 

Emily nods sheepishly. “Well, Skyra is family…”

“She’s your family,” Aira corrects. 

“She’s Naida’s family too.”

“By heritage, yes,” the water elf agrees, “but not in spirit. And the former seems to have more bearing in your culture than in ours.”

“I just…I want to share this with her. Christmas is the classic time to reunite, celebrate together.”

“I hate to break it to you,” Azari begins slowly, “but Skyra isn’t a holiday kind of elf. She hasn’t joined any of the elven festivals in centuries.”

“I want to try anyways. It’s the right thing to do.”

The elves look at each other, knowing the conversation won’t go any farther with their stubborn human friend. 

“Alright,” Farran concedes, “We’ll help. But if Skyra calls upon lightning and throws us off the mountain, I’m holding you personally responsible.”

The candles are affixed to the branches of the apple tree. The flames burn in different colors, green, purple, and red, against the blue leaves; Azari finishes her magic on the last wick, looking upon her work uncertainly. 

“Didn’t Emily say this was supposed to be a winter holiday? This doesn’t seem very wintery.�� 

Naida shrugs, weaving mahogany shaded vines through the branches. “She said to decorate a tree with lights, and red and multicolored decorations…” She trails off, seemingly unconvinced as well. 

“This just doesn’t feel quite right,” Aira chimes, looking over to see Emily arranging tags on a small pile of wrapped presents. The girl seems to be frowning. The air elf sighs quietly, taking another ornament, rough-hewn gemstones with a hand-drilled hole for the string, from the little fox, hanging them amongst the apples. She steps back, seeming to change her mind. “Well, I think it’s pretty,” she declares. 

“Emily’s coming over!” Farran interrupts. 

“We should probably just apologize…” Azari suggests. 

‘Let’s at least see what she thinks, first,” Naida soothes. 

The human girl approaches the display, her neutral expression morphing into one of shock. She then grins, “I love it! You made the holidays your own.” She draws them into a hug, the elves reciprocating awkwardly. They did not intend to ‘make it their own’, they just didn’t know what Christmas was supposed to look like in the first place.

Skyra scowls, surveying the roof of her home with irritation. “What are you doing here?” she bellows. 

The elves jump, having not sensed her presence earlier. They wither with no small measure of fear. The human girl, Eimileen’s granddaughter, appears suddenly uncomfortable. “I thought you might like to celebrate Christmas with us,” she suggests, tentative. 

Skyra’s frown deepens. “I’ve heard plenty about these human holidays from your grandmother. I had no desire for them then, and I have none now. Take your celebration and leave.” 

After those words fly from her mouth, Emily’s expression deflates, wounded. It makes some part of Skyra feel guilty… what would Eimileen think if she were to see them now?

But she has to keep her distance, keep telling lies, because her love for her youngest sister has always outshone everything else…

Skyra stills dreams that she could change the past, but she can’t. And it seems, she is doomed to make the same mistakes again, otherwise she would have never let Emily remain as a guardian of the portals.

“Would you at least open my present for you?” the girl inquires, breaking Skyra from her thoughts. The elf accepts the small blue parcel, hesitating. Inside is a framed portrait of Emily with Eimileen, gleaming into the camera. 

And Skyra’s walls start to crumble again. She embraces her great niece for a moment, and, in a moment of impulse, bids the sky to open a flurry of snow. 

She allows herself to smile for the first time in many years, and she remembers something her little sister told her a long time ago, about human holidays, that they were a moment one could forget about everything else in the world, and be merry when even the world around you is dying. 

And maybe that is the justification, even though Emily shouldn’t be here, that this vulnerable mortal has ancient and powerful enemies she has yet to know, ones that could scourge her soul from this reality. And Skyra knows that soon Emily will have to leave this realm permanently for her own safety. 

But today, today she can smile, and laugh, and celebrate, as if the future were bathed in sunlight.

New LEGO Elves webisodes!

Attention LEGO Elves fans! LEGO has finally started uploading the new LEGO Elves webisodes for this year! Like last year’s, they’re drawn in a toy-based superdeformed style, as opposed to to the more naturalistic character models in the Netflix series Secrets of Elvendale. They feature characters from this year’s LEGO Elves sets as well as some popular characters from past years like Ragana Shadowflame and Sophie Jones!

you know what i just watched all the lego elves youtube specials and tbh like....i was just gonna watch them to get some background knowledge™ but i legitimately really enjoyed them, they were really cute and i love the characters aaahhh

I’m low key sad that we didn’t get much Lumia and Noctura lore aside from the bare bones of everything.

In fact, I’m sad we didn’t get a deep dive into the lore of Lego Elves’ lore as a whole.

So many possibilities that could've been dived into if LEGO wasn't so hasty in wrapping up the theme. I'm sure if we had chapter books for S3 and S4 we would be able to glean a lot of information about details that wouldn't have made it into the animations. Even having one activity book for S4 would have given us something more to play around with.

A S3 chapter book could have given us:

A more serious narrative of events (even by a little bit)

Expanded on the squad's dynamic now that they've known each other for a bit of time

Emily wondering where the other two sisters are and if she has to worry about them in the future

A POV shift that actually makes sense for the continuity. We can switch between Emily and Sophie every couple of chapters. Maybe throw in a Cronan POV for flavor at the end idk...

Pleasepleaseplease I need more of the squad interacting with each other through the adventures. These books make them feel more like co-workers than friends

A S4 chapter book could have given us:

Elvendale history. What's the connection between the guardians and the sisters? Is there a connection?

Can the guardians actually talk out loud for Emily to understand them?

To keep it real with y'all I just want a S4 activity book for the pretty artwork... and BIO blurbs for the guardians + Noctura 👉👈. A fun idea could be to split it into two books like what happened with the S2 story. One taking place in Elvendale and the other in the Shadow World. Realistically speaking I'd probably end up having to translate it from like... Belgian or something since LEGO is apparently allergic to publishing Elves activity books in English past season 2.

I'd still do it though.

Y’know what’s ANOTHER thing that’s highly underrated that disappeared with time?

LEGO ELVES

Lego Elves was a line of legos that released in/around 2015 that had a web series, with changing animation styles, and a legit Netflix original series named Lego Elves: Secrets of Elvendale. The basic story of the franchise centers around this girl named Emily who finds a secret portal in her backyard to a magical world named Elvendale. After going through, Emily met 4 other elves, which are the other main characters. Depending on the piece of media in the franchise, this basic story got expanded such as our main characters having to save Elvendale from a threat. There were also 3 animated mini movies to go along with the webisodes that were in the first animation style. 

First off, the designs for the characters and the world is GOREGEOUS! It really helps suck you into the world. Oh, there’s also MAGIC which is lit. 

ALRIGHT SO THE NETFLIX SHOW.....................

The Netfix series is....... a trip and I love it. It’s animated by the same studio that did Legend of Korra, which is cool. The story is basically Emily’s little sister Sophie finds the portal, goes through, and shenanigans ensue. It’s pretty good in my opinion. It’s only 8 episodes, so it’s an easy watch. If you want to give it a watch, cool. If you don’t, that's fine. You do you

Lego Elves has two specials and around 30 mini-episodes that will give you some backstory and introduce you to the characters. 

Special 1: Unite the Magic (x) - (24:01)

Special 2: Dragons to Save, Time to be Brave (part 1) (part 2) - (22:01 and 22:01)

Webisodes (x) - (approx 3-4 minutes each)The Netflix series seems like it will follow/be inspired by the last webisode arc (starting with webisode 18)If you don’t want to watch all of these, the Lego Elves webpage (x) has links for character profiles (x) and comics that follow the specials (x) that you can read instead - I know a few people in the fandom who haven’t watched some (or all) of the Lego series, but have been introduced to the characters and storylines through the Lego webpage instead

Honestly, I'm not sure, but I DO know of one instance where Lego has definitely done this before.

Back when the Lego Elves line was being released, the second wave had three major mini-movies that contained the plotline for the second wave. On the website there was a series of quiz games to play, and one was a "what do you think future plotlines will be about based on these screenshots".

These quiz games had comment sections, and I read one person's prediction where they went OFF describing in great detail (with very poor grammar) a separate adventure where one of the characters was corrupted by the preexisting Evil Juice (that was part of the s2 plot) and nearly killed the main character.

They went scene-by-scene, and I distinctly remember reading one where the corrupted character shoved the MC off a cliff, then came to her senses and grabbed her friend.

Fast forward to the third wave. They're in the middle of releasing the new plotline, and suddenly there's a new mini-movie in the style of the second wave with the same length as the other ones from that line. No marketing. No release on the website.

The plot contains many different elements from the plotlines from the first two waves and also the third one releasing currently. And you guessed it, it's exactly the same as the comment under the now-deleted quiz.

No credit was given that I can remember. I can't even find the episode on Youtube, while the original ones are still there. This whole situation seems quite fishy to me.

If anyone sees this who was in the Lego Elves fandom, do you remember this? Anything about the webisode, quiz, comment, etc.? I tried using the WayBack machine to find the quiz and comment again, but it didn't work........but then again I had no idea how to use it, so if anyone else has more expertise in the area, maybe you could help?

Y'know what's worse than Ninjago stealing your ideas? Ninjago stealing your ideas from a separate OC world.

I had the idea for one of the villains of this OC world to have water powers, be a sea person, and decide to merge with the sea because he wanted to control its full force and submerge the whole world in water.

AND OFC Ninjago decides (like, two years later btw) to have Nya merge with the sea!

Like bro, what do I do if it seems like a cheap Nya Ninjago rip-off??? He was even gonna lament abt needing to wear his armor at all times because it was impossible to maintain a humanoid form while also being an amorphous mass of water.

AND his motives were also stolen by Kalmaar! He believed that the people of the surface were inferior and needed to be exterminated!
