He really had missed and worried about her. Just knowing she was back safe and sound was all that he needed. “How was your vacation? Did the creator units provide all you needed?” Grand parents were confusing to the twins. Parents were too but grandparents more so.

Generations of human life passed fast before their optics and it was processor blowing. Most generations for them were lacking as very few had the ability for their spark to hold and create life without the matrix. Most that had been known were offlined in the first few waves of deception attacks. But the cold constructed were often created with high enough intelligence to begin working or interning for work. Some were placed with surrogates that would train them and then after that they’d go separate ways.

The twins were rare. They’d been carried by another illegally and then to hide, their carrier sold them to the pits. “Tell me about your creator units too. How does it all work for you little fleshies.”

Then, she took the time to think over his questions. How did she explain that her parents had parents, who also had parents, and so on and so forth, knowing that their lifespans were so much shorter than that of their alien guests?

“As for you other question..It’s hard to explain. Humans can trace our ancestries back hundreds of years, sometimes thousands. My parents had parents, and the cycle kinda keeps going like that, I guess? My grandparents are nice people, but they’re old, y’know? They don’t like the same things that I do, so it’s hard to connect with them. But, then they started telling me stories about their childhoods and younger selves, and they showed me pictures of my dad when he was a baby, and..”

She stopped herself, taking a deep breath, cheeks flushing in embarrassment, “Sorry, I was rambling, and I didn’t really answer your question, did I?”
