Of Being a Ladybug part 2

So, Paris is about 6 hours ahead of Metropolis . So if Marinette sent the message at say… 8 pm, and Jagged got it at 9 because he was at dinner, then getting lawyers straightened out and all that ...say Marinette starts school at 10 am, then it would be approximately 4am in Metropolis. It would be a 7 hour flight, meaning she'd leave at noon on Monday, and arrive at 2am on Tuesday. 

The cons of being a reporter. 

TUESDAY 2AM Paris 

Lois was as excited as she was exhausted. Paris! She'd always wanted to go to Paris. As her taxi drove her past the Louvre and she could see the Eiffel tower in the distance, she couldn't help but remember the call she received yesterday. 

"I know it's early, Lois, but I have a job for you in Paris" Bruce said from the other line. 

"I'm listening." 

"The satellites from the Tower have been picking up irregularities. Burning buildings, the Eiffel Tower toppled or completely missing, then the next pass everything is normal. Hal even claims he saw a giant baby on cams once. I've gone over all the pictures of the last year, a couple of weeks ago there… I can't explain it. I'll send you the images and we'll try to find a believable cover story for going in the middle of the school year like this"

"I understand, thank you Bruce. I'll book the earliest flight I can." Burning buildings? The Eiffel tower toppled? Nothing had been said in the news. If something on a grand scale like that were happening, they would already know. 

"Thank you, Lois. I will of course pay for your accommodations while there," Bruce offered. A consolation for sending her around the globe for film effects. 

She barely got a "thank you" out, before he hung up. She flopped back onto the bed, Clark raising an eyebrow at her. Of course he'd heard both sides of the conversation, so he obviously had his own opinion to share. 

"Well? What do you think?" she asked him. If Clark gave it some weight, she might take it more seriously. 

"A video was sent by the Mayor of Paris about a year ago, asking for help because his city was being overrun by stone monsters and their only hope lay with a couple of kids. I watched it and it looked like some cheap special effects and deleted it like the other publicity stunts people pull. Diana was the one to notice the inconsistencies with the Eiffel tower, and she swears she saw a couple kids flying on rooftops. It's why Bruce started investigating. But he has no reason to be in Paris at all, since Wayne Enterprises doesn't have an hq there, and he wants to save that excuse for if there IS any trouble. Anyways, try to enjoy your little vacation while you're there" Clark smiled. 

"... Does Bruce know the mayor called for Justice League intervention?" Lois asked slowly. This… Was… Not… happening. 

"No? I mean, just some publicity stunts, Lois. We get 20 of them a day" Clark dismissed. Lois was beyond words so she got up and started packing, and turned on her civilian phone to call for a flight. Before she could get dialing she got a call incoming. 

"Penny? Is everything okay? WHAT? YES! Of course I do! That's huge! Yes, let me just call my boss…. Oh? Oh wow! Thank you! Yes, I'll see you tonight… Or I guess tomorrow for you…yes. I understand. Thank you" Lois couldn't believe her luck. She grabbed her JL phone and called Bruce. 

"Bruce! I've got a cover! I've been asked by an old college friend to interview her client and a few others on Parisian TV. Yes, totally legit, she just called me… Penny Rolling. Yes, yes Bruce! I will keep my eyes open. Did you know the Mayor tried to call for JL intervention a year ago? No? Clark told me there was a video but thought it was a publicity stunt. Maybe try to find it and give me a heads up… okay… Thank you Bruce. That'll be perfect! I'll get to the bottom of this… Okay, thank you."

Finally done with the update she rushed to call the airline. 

" NOON?!"

Before she could take in the breathtaking view any longer, the cab stopped. Lois paid the fare and stepped out and looked up. It was a beautiful hotel, owned by Mayor Bourgeois. The cabbie was loading her bags onto a trolley with a Bellhop waiting stoically by the doors. Just as Lois went to inquire about Penny, the door opened and out she came. 

"You cut your hair!" Lois exclaimed, giving her friend a hug and a LA Bise. 

"You, my beautiful ginger, are late! Had you arrived a few hours earlier you would have had quite the show!" Penny said with a smile. She'd always been jealous of Lois's hair. 

"It's Paris, Penny. How exciting could it possibly be?" Lois asked jokingly, wondering just what her visit here would truly reveal. 

I was going to end it here, but I believe I owe you all an action scene 😉 

MONDAY 10AM PARIS

Ladybug flew over buildings in the direction of the explosions. She really wished she'd had a chance to see the classroom before leaving to see if she would have to once again go up against Alya. Or Lila. 

Maybe if she was lucky it would be another unfortunate soul altogether. One she hopefully didn't know personally. Because it was starting to really take a toll on Ladybug, every time she came face to face with a friend or loved one. 

Before she was ready she was at the scene. And she was shocked. The Akuma of the day was a barely visible outline of a woman. She had a flowy garment on and only became visible when she touched a person. The person would immediately admit to bad deeds, anything from finishing the ice cream container to more horrible crimes. 

Ladybug watched as a couple hid behind a vehicle to escape the fate, only for the akuma to lift and throw the car, one handed, into another vehicle, creating another explosion. The akuma drifted ghost like towards the couple and became fully corporeal as she touched them, first the man ("I tapped your phone! I hated how much time you spent always going out!" he blurted out) then the woman ("I  can't stand being with you!" she screamed back). Ladybug swallowed. This was not good. A non corporeal being with the strength of ten men and the ability to… Spill secrets? Ladybug wasn't sure, but didn't want to get too close before she had the full story. She went to grab her yo-yo to call Chat, only for him to pop up, baton swinging. 

"What have we here? Another scary movie victim?" Chat asked, drawing all eyes to them. Ladybug wanted to scream. Or toss him off the building. Once! Just. ONCE! 

"I… am Guilty Conscience. That voice that should tell you not to do bad… It Is too quiet in most people's heads. So therefore I shall make you scream your misdeeds to the world. No longer shall there be hiding behind white lies for innocence" the ghost whispered, yet to Ladybug she may as well have screamed. 

"Che, you're out of your league! I have a picture perfect record!" Chat smirked, ever brash and fearless. Without a second thought, he jumped off the building towards the ghostly form. And just as Ladybug predicted, went right through her. She did not become solid upon contact with a human unless she so chose to. Great… 

"Chat! Fall back, we need a plan!" Ladybug called, stepping back from the roof and readying her yo-yo. 

"Just lucky charm her and we can go out for coffee!" Chat yelled back, swinging his baton uselessly through GC. Ladybug shook her head. She was almost 90% sure they'd need more backup. 

"Lucky Charm!" she cried, throwing her yo-yo high. Down fell a teapot. Back up it is, she sighed. 

"Chat! Fall back, I'm going for backup!" she called out again. 

"Awe, but M'lady, I thought I was the only one you needed in your life!" she was sure he thought he sounded charming. She cringed. 

"Not now Chat. I'll be back in a while, keep her from following me but keep your distance. No need to waste your energy for now." 

Had she looked down, or paid more attention to her surroundings, she may have seen Lila hiding in an alley not far from the akuma. She may have noticed her trying to follow her. She may even have taken another route to get where she was going. Later she would regret not being more vigilant.

i love this wrestling plotline for many kevin reasons, but one of them is it gives and opportunity to show kevin interacting with a male friend. they’re obviously making a better effort to make him more than the “sassy gay friend” but this is one i feel a lot of people would miss. we’re used to gay men befriending women and being romantically involved with or lusting after men exclusively. but kevin and archie are friends! and we love them both! kevin jokes around about archie being hot and neither of them are uncomfortable! archie goes to kevin for help with something kevin has more knowledge/skill at! if i remember right archie was the first one to call joaquin kevin’s boyfriend! they are bros! and this is just really nice!

also how did i not notice kevin is ridiculously buff before? did he beefcake up between seasons or did those sweaters just slim him down a lot somehow? woops better go back and rewatch season one again to check. god what a chore.

for all that i still think the narrative is still going to find a way to keep jughead’s feelings at the forefront of this plot thread, there was some good delivery on “i had no right.” a kid realizing for the first time that just because he feels really strongly about something, does not mean he’s universally in the right on the subject. i know so many grown ass adults who don’t know this. i’m just really hoping not just jughead as a character takes a step back for a bit, but the narrative lets him and uses the room he makes well.

Do I Still Miss Joaquin: please just imagine wrestling matches with Joaquin dragging all the other teen serpents along with to be the loudest, rowdiest, Team Keller-est cheering section riverdale has ever seen. Kevin is equal parts pleased and mortified. cheryl and toni are dating by now, so cheryl makes them all tshirts. they all have no fucking clue how wrestling works. they love it.

Episode Hair MVP: jughead’s bangs were corkscrewing again- like mine do when my hair air dries just right. i live the curly/wavy combo life too juggie. i know it’s hard.

Episode Outfit MVP: betty’s felted floral sweater- tho i’m still perplexed by the collars on this show. someone in wardrobe has a signature and i don’t begrudge them- i’ve just never seen collars on any outfit anywhere like these ones

Utrecht, Eurail, New life

Gak sampe 1 bulan dari terakhir aku nulis, hidup sudah mengalir dengan derasnya.. so, 1 hari setelah aku nulis kita jalan2 ke Hamburg dan Berlin. Seru banget deh, trip murah meriah, berfaedah, hotel murah dan bagus, makanan enak2 semua, ketemu tmen2 yang pas dan sejalan ritme nya.. 

Long short story kita naik Flixbus then dijemput Nahuel di terminal hamburg. Doi baik bgt udah nungguin lama, bawain tas aku, ajak kita keliling2.. duh nyenengin banget deh German, transportnya murah n satisfying.. cuma orang2nya kaku banget gak ramah, so compared sama Belanda, masih jauh yaa.. kebayang kl hidup disana 1-2 bulan masih ok, tp kalo bertahun, hmm engga deh kynya. I miss the dutch happy, kind, friendly feeling and the tall/smells good and good looking people (lol gak penting).

Trus jalan sama Adrian, Reni, Fysa bener2 seritme banget, adem tentram, saling bantu & menguatkan, sneng deh pokoknya. Memang travelling yg matters itu with whom you’re going. Ga terlupakan banget, kita malem2 keliling hamburg,drink local beer Fritz Cola, nonton fountain, istirahat di hotel enak, jalan2 ke Aldi ‘beneran’ (authentic di German HAHAHA), saying warm goodbye to Nahuel, went to Berlin, get lost and minta tolong german girls beliin tiket, makan ramen, another hotel enak di berlin, the wall, burger n turkish food, malem2 jalan di Dom sambil merinding liat designnya yg amazing, liat berlin tower, bsoknya breakfast dr local organic store, checklist smua list, makan currywurst, Ritters sport, Rewe, ngejar makan ramen enak HAHHA, dept store mahal disangka ramayana krn desgin nya kaku lol, makan korbeq murah sampe nunggu bus utk kembali k groningen, N again the feeling bahagia kembali ke belanda yg bersih, orangnya ramah & familiar. Sebelum bubar kita makan roti jerman+dips yg kita beli d rewe, di station kereta seblum menempuh perjalanan pulang bersepeda.. at the end I praise God for everything :*) 

But, ada 1 hal lagi ya bkin bahagia.. waktu hari ke 2 di German, tepatnya di Berlin, I still remember that vividly, kita abis makan ramen, full dan bahagia krn abis mampir ke toko yg jual buku ttg German Joke philosophy, which isinya kosong karena simply Germans don’t joke hahaha. Anyway karena gak punya kuota internet, pas lagi jalan balik menuju hotel mo samperin reni, ik dapet wifi, then check email teryata dapet email dari Eurail. Gila gila gila, sambil gemeteran merinding, mo buka HP pun deg2an, mix feeling hrs dibuka apa engga, mana internet separo2 dapetnya since kita bediri di sebrang hotel n koneksi wifinya lemah.. at that time adrian n fysa had no clue of what’s going on, aku cm berdoa dan berusaha gak expect byk. Ga berapa lama, kebuka juga itu email, dan isinya: “Dear Marshella,We evaluated your assessment for the product management internship at Eura** Group and we are happy to inform you that we would like to invite you for an interview on Thursday (23rd of August) at 14.30.The interview will take place at our office in Utrecht (Lange Viestra*** 3**). You will have the interview with me and the product management team (Rach** and *** Nguy**) and it will last about 45 minutes.Could you confirm whether you can attend the interview? Then aku boong ke sharon, nyakit pdhal mo ke Utrecht utk interview.. Langsung deh beli ticket kereta, lapor sm Yola minta bocoran, dll. Lucunya hari H itu smua kyk meant to be aja, lancarrr gt smua nya. Dari makan, ganti baju, parkir speda, sampe WC utrecht central kan bayar tuh, jd ik ragu krn hrs 2x ksana since nyampenya kecepetan, tp kebelet pipis namun mrasa kecepetan kl ganti baju saat itu. Eh luar biasa tetiba itu WC rusak pintu masuknya, so toiletten is gratis allemal.. bisa ya kyk gitu.. so abis pee, makan doner sambil belajar n deg2an, lalu masuk wc lagi utk ganti baju (masih rusak), 10 mins kmudian gw kluar, trus antriannya panjang banget, ternyata uda bner pintu nya, so people harus bayar, HAHHA.. gila sih, ky sign bgt Tuhan lancarin semuanya.. lalu intervew spt biasa gw kcepetan. Trus ya sama HR n lgsg ber 3 intinya gw uda lupa ngom apa aja, tp lancar bgt berkat Tuhan Yesus n blajar dr utube smaleman ahha.. Stelah itu bsoknya dikasi email follow up ttg isi kontrak which aku iyain utk start about 1.5 week after the interview (gila jg gw kl dipikir, tp takut kesabet candidate lain coy). Surprisingly dia kasi detail gaji. Gw gak mention anything during the interview, bahkan sm yola pun gw cm nanya: digaji gak sih? dia bilang iya lah.. gila lo.. hmm, mmg rangenya brapa yol? ya 500an deh mgkn per bulan.. gw kek: lumayan jg ya.. TAPIIIII, trus di kontrak disebut gajinya: 2x lipat dari yg yola sebut, gila kan?? gila yaa. Tuhan tau banget kali yg gw perluin, bner2 dikasih napas. Parah sampe shiock n merasa bodoh kl gw gak terima offernya.. itu 3x gaji gw di Lippo, meanwhile gw berstatus hanya sbg anak magang, edan, kl bukan Tuhan itu trus siapa?? Perusahaan Belanda mana yg mau terima random indonesian, gak speak dutch, gak pinter2 amat, dan tinggal di groningen.. tmen2 pd cerita dl dia kl intern cm dkasi 300 lah, 150 lah, bahkan ada yg gak digaji krn dianggap mreka jd punya ksempatan utk cari pengalaman.. but this one, is legit broo.. mana kantornya fancy bgt di atas de bijenkof, dket sm station pula.. 

Ok beban blum berlalu, gw masi harus kerja resto di Imono, cari tempat tinggal dan kabarin mba sisca, dll. byk deh urusannya. Entah gmn smua kelar2 aja, berbekal prayer request dr orang2 terdekt, walalu peter keknya agak annoyed sm my decision.. perjuangan cari kamar is a different story, kek hunger game tp trus gw diingetin kl cheri n suaminya kerja d utrecht, gw kontek lah dan mreka blg betapa pesimisnya cari kamar d utrecht. Yola bantu cari info dr x anak magang, tp tentunya uda disambet. Helass, ik ben te laat geweest. Interview lah d gron sm kamar harga 650, hampir ditipu spam, di takut2in mba sisca, dll. Namun akhirnya di hari yg indah, sambil ntn kembang api d gron, aku deal sambil telp cheri & jojo kl aku akan stay d rumahnya n nyerah nyari2 lagi d utrecht. Arrange smua, packing, ngurus barang riza, perpisahan sm jamaah, nangis berpisah sm the hooiveld, dll. Adrian bantu aku pindahan, kita makan PP utrecht 2x, pake storing lagi jd naik bus bw koper berat, rasa pgen nangis pas balik lagi sendiri, capek, lonely, takut, gak familiar sm desa Bunnik. Sedih deh kl inget hari itu, bsoknya ke AH jalan kaki, gak punya sepeda, ga punya tmen, huhu.. the beginning mmg always the hardest. sampe akhirnya mencoba settle 1 mg pertama, i tried so hard to be open, to catch up sm indrusty n smua yg baru buat gw,, transport naik kereta, jalan kaki, dll. Tapi company jg try so hard utk please me, kita dikasi NS business card, laptop keren n perkakas canggih, tmen2 yg baik, free flow snack, fruits dll, bner2 beda sm kerja di lippo. Aku tuh baru pertama kali kerja tp merasa dianggap sbgt human being, diannggap utk punya opini walau cm intern, ga diperlakukan less tp equal.. benr2 terbaik ya yg Tuhan siapin.. sllau yg kyk gw blg: ive never been treated as well as ive been in the Netherlands, this country is really something else for me.. 

yah long short story, gw jg harus kejar2an sm deadline skripsi yg gak jelas itu.. dgn smua ke pesismisan, salah suspect dr Niels, assign supervisor yg telat, gw harus berjuang sendiri menyelamatkan n membuat thesis proposal baru dari scratch mix sm apa yg company mau.. luar biasa, pulang kerja stelah seharian mantengin laptop n kerja dgn intensenya, lanjuta di rumah berthesis ria sampe jm 2 pagi, dan begitu terus.. kl gak pasti ada aja issu either telp sm shan, michelle buat bantu doa n curhat their both upcoming wedding, n wedding tepi.. (GILAAA SMUA ORANG KEWONG).. tp mg lalu nya smpet senggang jg sih pulang sempet main sm cecil n kevin yg lagi honeymoon trus show them around the city hehe. Well skrg smua uda lewat, at least uda ada bayangan utk thesis.. tus ternyata cheri jojo uda punya rumah sendiri, so aku boleh bebas register pake address mreka, gila gak sih.. trus helpful bgt pula aku diajak dinner kluar, di traktir, d rumah pun lebih bebas mau ngapa2in.. kasur baruku enak bgt n nyaman, super comfy kamar n rumahnya.. intinya aku bner2 ngalamin another level yg semua even better.. yg surprise juga, baru 2 mg uda gajian, n dkasihnya full gaji, entah ada kesalahan apa or gimana.. trus erasmus jg transfer sisa scholarship yg kmaren ditahan. trus jg pas pamit dari imono vincent kasih gaji cash dan berlabih2.. so kaget deh pas liat rekening, memang kita ga pernah tau, rejeki bisa dtg dari mana aja.. jadi gak boleh pelit, krn smua itu milik Tuhan.. 

cm berdoa ke depannya projectku lancar di support Jody and di approve spy aku lulus BRM 2 n bs kelarin thesis n internship bersamaan pd waktunya.. plus add a jongen to my life to spend Christmas together with his family.. AMINNN

Satu prayer request lagi: I feel like all im doing selalu supported by God, tiap pagi the spirit ingetin lewat lagu, jesus calling, so i can still start my day right, walau pun hari smakin colder, season change, tp my God is not.. and kl aku look back, aku bs sehat, tahan banting smua cm krn Tuhan yg sustain.. and now, i want to glorify Him, i know I cant live without a support of Godly community, and tomorrow, will be a start of something new to me. Ive been praying to come to this South African church called Shofar, I really hope this is where God calls me to go.. to praise Him, grow deeper in His words, with His people and able to invest my life to someone in the church,, smoga Tuhan kabulin this desire He has given, so I can stand firm to face whatever mountain that I have to go through.. last but not least, God, you are the only Home to me, the only perfector of my faith, you sustain me and hold me tight, you liberate me from my chaos and in the silence You speak to me. Review for fan edit for Attack of the Clones (Hal’s)

I decide to give my review of a fan-edit for Hal 9000's Episode 2: The Approaching Storm (Attack of the Clones) Most fans consider the original film the worst one, even after Episode 1. The politics and the talking wasn't really interesting, just like the first film, but adds cringworthy moments like the romance scenes and Anakin being a drama whiner. Not to mention, the CGI in the film looks more fake and uncanny valley than Rogue One, despite the time gap between both films, and most of the movie is blue screen. Many things had plot holes and didn't made sense on several scenes. However, there is a way to rewatch this film and not hate it, and want the film to be as best as it possibly can. Hal 9000 Episode 2: The Approaching Storm has arrived in Holiday 2017. To me, this made the film from the worst to a decent one. I would like to explain why this fan edit made the film better. I enjoyed some scenes from the actual film, but those scenes were made more interesting. Anakin is a lot less dramatic and whiny, and you really care about him more, and Padme is made to be at least more interesting. The romance scenes was edited well that you can see why they love each other. They used few deleted scenes that covers the better portion between Anakin and Padme. We see her family and it's nice to see a family. I like how the whole thing about Jedis can't fall in love was lessened, and only mention once. Anakin twisted the conversation that made it seem like it's not important. The edits for both of them on Coruscant and Naboo are better. Anakin does not give a creepy stare or whine in front of her all the time. We get to see the fountain in Naboo and he and Padme discussed about it. The scene where they are at a field with lots of flowers and animals was the only scene where the romance seems legit, but with the other better moments added, it made you care more about them at least. They did kiss by the lake, the same scene where he DOES NOT mention his hate about sand. The scene was made more like sunset and they both slowly kiss instead. On the investigation on the bounty hunters, I like how it was made without the silliness on the Zam Wessel chase. Obi-Wan is pretty much the best main character of the prequel trilogy, but on this one, his investigation is made more mysterious with better pacing. There is less talking fillers and had no other jedis being clueless about the missing planet, Kamino. There is no scene with younglings and Yoda about the missing planet, and I think a quicker pacing to find Kamino is done better. Obi-Wan went straight forward to went there to meet Jango Fett. He talked to Mace Windu from a deleted scene in the hangar about Anakin and since he is still a padawan, they need to made sure he is doing his job right. There is a less filler on Kamino or silly moments. Silliness isn't always a bad thing, but too silly can be uncomfortable, but I barely found them on this edit. I'm glad Boba Fett was not mentioned that he is a clone, and that he isn't as annoying as he was in the actual film. The small space battle is made more interesting. Also, Boba Fett isn't a clone because it is not said. Back to Anakin, I did wish him saying that Jedis don't have nightmares are cut away, but there is no way to do that, but still have their relationship handled better. At the rescuing of Anakin's mom, this made me feel more sad now that his character is handled better. It is sad at first, but on this edit, you cared more about how he feels. I'm happy that the scene with Yoda and Mace Windu was cut because they didn't do anything about Anakin after knowing his dangered feeling. We still get the iris wipe to Obi-Wan going to a building where the droid factory is, and the wipe looks great. Most importantly, the scene about him hating sand people and blaming Obi-Wan for his mom's death is entirely cut. We know his hate dialogue is a meme, but with the scene deleted, we're sure nothing is missing with that cut away. By the time where Anakin and Padme landed on Geonosis, the droids stay at the ship while the other two are the only ones going inside the building. There was no droid factory scene, but we went straight to a deleted scene where Anakin and Padme have a meeting with Count Dooku, to set Obi-Wan free. He sentence them to death since they won't join with him and that Obi-Wan is also sent to death with them. With this edit, it was made more understandable as to how they are sentenced. I did enjoy the battle arena when I saw it as a kid. On this edit, no scenes with C-3PO or R2-D2 are there. The green alien who talks with a racial accent talks less. Even Jar-Jar has less lines at the beginning. We do see the clones arriving, and they cut out a dialogue for Yoda when arriving. Also, I may not notice this, but I do find the idea of the clone war at Geonosis interesting, even though it can look CG at parts of it. My best edit on that segment is they did not have Anakin yell too long after Padme fell. Obi-Wan only said to not let his emotions get in his way, and to think what Padme would do on her task. The edit looks better because it did not made Anakin uncomfortable to see, and all he mostly did is listen to him. On the duel between Count Dooku and Yoda is very shortened, to where they only use the force and Dooku's lightning. He sent straight to tear a pillar to crush Obi-Wan and Anakin, so Yoda only uses the force on that whole scene instead of fighting, so he looks more spiritual. That's all I can think about from the film. Most of the edits are made well to where I find the film decent. I would watch this again, and even for someone who wants to see Episode 2 again should see this without the cringe. This my first time seeing a fan-edit of a prequel film completely on my own time. I heard most fans who are into fan edits say that the best prequel edit and for episode 2 is Hal 9000's. The Approaching Storm seems like a better title because it's the rise of the Clone Wars and also the Separatists. The fan edit did made the film better, and would be watchable if you decide to see this movie again. Is TAS the best film and almost as good as the Original Trilogy? No, not quite, but I would say that it's decent and is pretty much a successor to Attack of the Clones. It ranges from All Right to Decent, but I choose decent since I am open to good fan edits and wanted a better view for the prequels and sequels. Also, there is still some things that will never be solved and will still leave certain questions, like how would the Jedis still not see how Count Dooku is evil in the beginning, or why did Jar-Jar give the Chancellor emergency powers. A fan edit of a terrible film can't completely solve all issues at once, but it has to be there to not have anything missing or cut too short. Yes, the CGI on some parts looks obvious, but they're not that bad as much as Speed Racer or Mars Needs Moms. I don't mind for this fan edit just to focus on the point of view for how the fan edit film change the pacing and improvements to the film. The own pacing and direction is mostly what would be a better film. The dialogues are less bland and show a bit more emotion. What if this is the actual film in the first place? Assuming few more edits to the film by the main studio if this is the case, then no one would have the outrage of the film and wouldn't be considered the worst. Hayden Christiansen would've got a better reputation and so would Natalie Portman. It may even be considered the best of the prequels if only focusing this fan edit, including Episode 3 in some ways. TAS does show most of the necessary scenes and add the better flow, so critics would've praise a bit more on the story as well as caring more about the main characters. The politics are still there, but it is a bit lessened so it seems to show more on the plot. Also, no one would've criticize the romance scenes. The problems in TAS would still be there due to the film itself, but it would've literally gone up by a grade and would've be considered watchable for general audience and maybe fans. Reviewers would say that this is the better film than Episode 1 and may tie in with 3 or better. Is TAS a better film that The Last Jedi? Well, it depends on the fan because I don't personally hate the film in any way. I did at least enjoy it. I won't go too deep with Episode 8, but as a film, with film directing and emotions, it does a better job. The characters, if you've been seeing Episode 7, you wouldn't get full answers to all the new characters. Rose and Finn doesn't have a lot of romance scenes as much as Anakin and Padme in TAS, but they have more action adventures. Captain Phasma is cut too short. Luke is pretty much the character I cared the most, and unlike any prequels, we do see force projection, which I thought it was amazing for a master. Yeah, the characters in TLJ can be hit and miss, but TAS is at least average to good for me, except for very few like Jar-Jar. What both films have in common, even vanilla Episode 2, is the torpedo sound effect where no sound is played for a short time before an explosion is heard, and the new film is the longest. I don't mind the porgs, and a bit less Jar-Jar is at least better. If you hate the film or really disappointment on multiple reasons, then TAS might be a better film for you. Some TLJ haters now think the prequels at least have something or better. Yeah, I get both sides about the debate on TLJ, but I still have no hate on this film, just a bit hard to not think about anything involving the hatred and how it's handled since the film's release. As for TAS, I would at least say that for people who are into fan edits, and want to find a better prequel fan edit and for Episode 2, this film is the best one for both categories. I am looking forward to see a guy named Ivan Ortega has an upcoming fan edit for TLJ. He;s been making it since Spring, and wanted to fix the entire film by removing the negatives. He has many footage of how he has edited each scenes and they're on youtube. He said his rough cut is finished, so he's doing a final cut that will be finished by the end of the year if you are into fan edits and wanted more out of TLJ in a positive way. A lot of scenes would've been useful, so he is adding them. That's what recently got me to find the best edit for the prequels. What about The Force Awakens or Rogue One? TFA seems to be better since the directing is better. However, the story itself is similar to the very first film, so TAS wins on the story only. Rogue One, maybe TAS has better character development as well as story pacing, but the new one has more action pack and space battles, and has the memorable ending. I have no idea about the fan edits for Episode 1 and 3. I am looking for one that is the best by fans and what is best for me. I don't mind anything that is referenced for the Original Trilogy. I may look into HAL's Episode 3: Labyrinth of Evil. Episode 1, it is between Q2: Fall of the Jedi and HAL's Cloak of Deception. Let's see which ones I would end up choosing for both films.
