Raijinto, while the textbook example of a heroic paladin fighting for honor, justice, and his people, i can't deny that he also rocks Ganondorf's new outfit supremely well.
I can imagine him donning a similar style of clothing after stepping down from the crown, and going on a journey of self-discovery. His whole life he's been defined by the other people he fights for. As a hatchling, he was raised by is parents to be a royal guard. As a Royal guard , he served as protector of the dragon queen Mikoto. Following her death, he went on a quest of vengeance to bring justice to those who killed his queen and friends. As a King, he served his people and country, unifying the Island nation of Oboro into a better democracy then what came before. After stepping down as king, he no longer needs to fight for anyone else. Who is Raijinto then?

Currently worldbuilding for a loz dnd campaign set in botw/totk— I’m having to do a lot of filling in for lore ;-;
I’m also changing a bunch of stuff to make it a unique experience, since one of my players has played both games!
Naturally this means adding cool bosses, enemies and beloved characters, as well as changing up enemy and item placements so I don’t have to look at guides the whole time
I’m also trying to figure out how I want to fit the party into the story, I don’t want link to have all the fun after all! Maybe I’ll do an alternate time with multiple heroes? I’m planning on a bit of pre calamity and then doing most of it post calamity, with their choice of doing different characters or the same character surviving through varied means.
It’s gonna be a blast— at least I hope so :D

Campaign Trails #1 | what if we what if we designed a ganondorf while holding hands >///<
WELP today's task was workin out how i wanted Ganondorf for my Ancient Melody game to be. so had to write up an antagonist AND a Ganondorf and that was interesting so im gonna blog bout it tehe
from the start, i knew that my Ganondorf was gonna focus on the fact that he's a charismatic nutcase who's really good at getting people on his side BUT i also wanted this Hyrule to be more understanding and in tune with its legends and stories. so this silly guy would not be wooing the king to his side anytime soon and everyone kinda vaguely knows bout Ganon at least as like the boogie man.
sOOOOO i ended up focusing on their backstory since i thought maybe that would give me an answer for the rest of it. then this sparked an evil idea in my head, silly even, to have my Ganondorf not start as such! the Gerudo of Ancient Melody have abandoned traditions to do with male children by this point, but must still contend with the fact that they have them. so whenever they DO appear they're normally taken away to be prepared for exile. the story for this Ganondorf, or Ren Va'hil as he was born, starts with VERY WORRIED parents trying to get their kid to not be taken away.
blah blah blah isolating, blah blah blah hiding, blah blah blah homeschooling (i would expand but i dont wanna make this too long) eventually they realize they can't keep him hidden forever and release him to Castle Town with some provisions. our silly guy is, of course, angry bout this but tries to make a life, very good at what he picks up, and a quick fascination with learning.
he notices he's pretty good at just having people like him and gets more involved with the community and enjoys what he does hehe. some nobles pick up word of someone growing in popularity, realize it's a male Gerudo, and slightly panic. again stories and all that, they invite him over as a gesture of good will but mess it up by calling him Ganondorf and speaking from a place of fear.
ends up leaving in a bit of rage and gets approached by two Gerudo sisters. they try to explain some silly Ganon lore but he refuses, however, this sets him up to want to return home.
ummm blip blop that goes bout as well as you expect and they chase him down calling out for Ganondorf again. this breaks down his will further and has destiny/fate catch up to him. he returns to the witches who set him up with more Ganon propaganda and sets off with em to take control of his fate.
SOOOOO um this doesn't seem to fix my problem ahem ahem... BUT ACTUALLY well besides taking control of monsters i'd like to say he gets followers both from the legend of Ganon and from what he wants. he's taking this up both to have some control over destiny and to destroy what has put him in this role in history. so those who want to escape cycles or fate are the ones who follow him.
very very silly NOW THATS ENOUGH OF THAT HAVE A SILLY DAY YALL HEHE i gotta keep workin on this silly.
