Chicken Science Swednesday: Chicken as a liquid

Many people are unaware that some chickens, when exposed to direct sunlight, become puddles:

There is no reason to be alarmed, as this process is 100% reversible. Indeed, most chickens will return to their solid form within a few minutes of melting, without any external assistance.

Don't worry if you were unaware of this. Even chickens who are not currently puddles are often confused by these encounters:

Got 6/6 eggs yesterday! And apparently Bibu just started laying Thursday (not pictured is the small blue egg husband found buried in shavings) and not back in October like I originally thought. Poor girl has had a rough go of this whole egg laying thing.

one of my younger chickens is limping and I don’t know why :( it doesn’t appear like she has bumblefoot, although she does have a dot on one of her feet, but up close it looks like dirt (photo under the cut). I don’t know what to do to help her? if anyone has any advice, I’d deeply appreciate it
