❧ Celestial | Hyuken Oneshot

Jaehwan wanted to do something special for Sanghyuk.

He still had much to learn about mortal affairs, but he had been with Sanghyuk for many seasons, long enough to know that he was extremely busy and stressed every winter. Jaehwan didn’t particularly understand—school was one the most enjoyable periods of his existence as an angel—but apparently, mortals even did education differently. His lover insisted it was hell on Earth.

Jaehwan thought that was a bit dramatic. If hell had come to Earth, they surely wouldn’t be alive anymore, especially if Taekwoon was in a sour mood. The celestial of death and the underworld was known to be temperamental most of the time, even when the celestial of seasons and vegetation was home. Taekwoon adored Hakyeon more than any other living thing in the universe, and he was still the same condescending, moody person that bickered with the celestial of the heavens until Wonshik was ready to physically wrestle him that Jaehwan always knew.

Regardless, Sanghyuk had exhausted himself so much this season that he had fallen ill, and the moment he recovered, he was back to his studies and his work. Things had settled down since then, but Jaehwan felt awful about his lover pushing himself so hard. Sanghyuk only spent a few days resting—and fussing about being contagious while Jaehwan took care of him even though the angel insisted he was immune to mortal diseases—and it took weeks for his symptoms to go away.

Jaehwan hated how tired he looked, how he had recently lost interest in his hobbies because of the change in the seasons, and how many hours he spent in front of his computer. The angel often had the entire day to himself even when he set aside time to work on his art while his lover only had a few hours to sleep. He didn’t like that at all.

He wanted to help Sanghyuk rest during his break. He wanted to do something special for him that would make the end of such a long year meaningful—memorable—but he was having a hard time figuring out exactly what that something special should be.

So he asked the second most important mortal in his life for help. Hongbin suggested a few things—an expensive gift for the upcoming holiday, a vacation out of their realm, a fancy meal. None of those things rang any bells. Birthdays warranted the biggest celebration in their relationship, and Jaehwan prepared most of the meals in their home on the account that Sanghyuk could not cook a proper meal if the universe itself were in danger. And Sanghyuk had only processed the fact that Jaehwan was an angel—technically fallen but not banished yet willingly Earthbound—very recently. He wasn’t ready to travel between realms yet. He had a sensitive stomach.

The angel was nearly on the verge of despair when Hongbin proposed another idea.

“Why don’t you dress up for him, then? Do you have any lingerie?”

“You mean underwear? I wear that all the time. Sanghyuk spends more time complaining about it getting in the way than he does appreciating it.”

“First of all, I didn’t need to know that. Second, lingerie and underwear are two completely different things. Lingerie is for appeal. It’s fancier, more expensive, and more suggestive than underwear.”

“How is fancy underwear going to make Sanghyuk feel better?”

Jaehwan didn’t understand the so-called appeal until Hongbin showed him some pictures, then some videos, then some of his own sets. Lingerie rang many bells—it rang every bell in Jaehwan’s brain, actually.

After recording his measurements and blowing up Hongbin’s phone with questions about conversions, he secretly placed an order with an overseas company and counted the days until his surprise arrived. Whenever his lover asked why he had blue stars marked on their calendar, Jaehwan could only grin mischievously.

The package coincidently arrived the same day Sanghyuk was out running errands with his older sister Sowon for the afternoon, leaving Jaehwan plenty of time to soak in a warm bath and figure out all the buckles and adjustable straps over the phone with Hongbin’s help before he returned home.

“Jae,” Sanghyuk called softly from the living room as the front door clicked shut behind him. “I’m back from unwillingly driving my obnoxious sister around and trying not to swerve into oncoming traffic every five minutes. Where are you?”

Jaehwan felt his cheeks flush as he stared at himself in their bathroom mirror. He had never felt this pretty in clothes before. Most angels were comfortable nude, and when they did dress, it was always in something loose and breathable, never in restrictive, limiting garments—which mortals had been wearing for centuries. Lingerie was definitely a fine line between nude and dressed, and as Jaehwan teased the thin, lacy fabric on his hips, he wondered if Sanghyuk would think he looked pretty, too. He wondered if he would appreciate his surprise. He wondered if he would finally be able to unwind, if only for a little while.

“Jae?” Sanghyuk called, his footsteps drawing closer as Jaehwan’s heartbeat rang in his ears. The angel turned off the light, stepped out of the bathroom and sat on the end of their bed as he waited for his lover to find him. “Are we playing another hiding and seeking game? I brought-”

Before Jaehwan knew it, Sanghyuk pushed the door to their bedroom open and stood in the doorway with his mouth open and a bundle of red adonis in his hand.

They stared at each other for a long time. Was this supposed to happen? Jaehwan should have asked Hongbin for more advice. His best friend insisted they would both know what to do, but he wasn’t sure if Sanghyuk was even breathing.

“I brought you flowers...” Sanghyuk finally exhaled. He had a mixed expression on his gorgeous face and snowflakes in his hair. It was almost as if he was struggling to understand what was going on and attempting to let go of control at the same time. Jaehwan wanted to kiss him senseless, but he stayed put on their bed.

“Come over here and give them to me, then,” Jaehwan responded, his voice soft and sweet as he blinked slowly at his lover.

The sexual scene playing on the theatre screen in front of you proved to be very distracting to Jaehwan. Instead of the actors on screen undressing each other, he wished it could have been the two of you. After an agonizingly slow 10 minute drive you raced up to Wonsik’s studio as quick as you could. Not bothering to knock, you threw the door open and stalked straight over to a very startled Wonsik not hesitating to grab the collar of his shirt and tug his lips onto yours. He made a noise of surprise to see you there but smirked at your worked up state, reviewing how well his not-so-innocent words had made an impact on you.

“Please baby I’m so desperate for you,” you pouted, rotating your hips slowly across his lap. He in took a sharp breath at your obvious neediness, but he needed to get this song done, and his manager would be coming to check up on it in 15 minutes.

Trying to summon up the words to reject your generous offer, Wonsik was cut short when you kissed down his jaw and neck, leaving various love marks loitering across his tan skin.

“Don’t worry baby, I’ll be out of your hair in the next 10 minutes,” you said through laboured breathing, reading his mind. Wonsik relaxed in your hold and stroked his hands through your hair, encouraging you when you dropped down onto your knees and began unbuttoning his jeans, his member hardening and anticipating the delicious treat to come.

Hyuk was appreciative of you supporting his baseball match, he really was. But he wasn’t appreciative of your distracting cheers. Each scream of support that left your lips could only make him think of the way you scream his name on a night with only the two of you; the jumping that caused your breasts to bounce along with you; the sweat that shone glistening against your skin from moving around so vigorously all reminded him of the night you’d last shared together. Which is not what he needed from you when he was trying to concentrate on the match he was playing.

The second that the whistle blew signalling the end of the baseball match, Hyuk stalked over to where you were seated on the side.

Your praise was cut off as Hyuk abruptly grabbed your arm and tugged you forward. You stumbled after him, confused as to why he was acting so strange. He didn’t stop moving until he’d pulled you into the male changing rooms. It wasn’t until he turned to face you that you caught on to what he was trying to initiate. The dark gaze in his eyes was near impossible to miss and you knew your boyfriend’s ‘look’ anywhere.

“Hyu-”

He said nothing as he grabbed you and pushed your pliant body against the tiled walls. He stared down at your breasts, licking his lips in admiration at your glorious curves. 2 months ago I met the cute and handsome guy named Park Jihoon. We are sort of in a relationship? Well, an internet relationship obviously. We decided to meet up during winter break. I truly had feelings for Jihoon, but I don’t know why Seongwoo had to show so much love these past weeks. One time I was just cooking while my parents were away, he randomly came up to me and back hugged me. He snakingly tasted the food and you could see his eyes form into big hearts “woahh Y/N we should marry” making me blush instantly.

Or when I was live on Instagram he walked up to me and kissed my cheek, making my fans go absolutely crazy.

Daniel, I and Somi decide to move to Seoul for our study’s, we got our own apartment and of course, my parents thought it would be a good idea to let Seongwoo tag along. Not that I mind because I can be around my crush 24/7. Also being in Seoul gave me the opportunity to see my family more and of course maybe I get to meet Jihoon.

I was shopping with Somi for back to school supplies. Somi was more than thrilled finally being able to study at SOPA. I was happy for her as well. But also knowing damn well she will be studying at the same school as Jihoon. “Unnie so who have you been talking to lately?” Somi said teasingly.

I glared at her “none of your business” walking out of the store.

“I know you’re talking to Jihoon” she smirked I stopped in my tracks looking shocked as ever making Somi cry out of laughter.

“h-how? When? Why?” grabbing my phone to check what she could have seen “I may or may not have broken into your phone, I did it when you were in the shower because your phone kept thrilling so I took a look at it.” I pinched her arm really hard, she yelped in pain rubbing her hand over the red space. “Why are you always so curious”

“I’m sorry! But honestly, do you like him?” she was more serious at the moment.

I didn’t answer and just looked blankly at the ground, “I don’t know, to be honest.” It was now Somi who looked confused. I knew she was going to question things like ‘how can you not know?’ ‘You talk every day there must be something right?’ I told her I will explain everything once we are home. We continued shopping in a slightly awkward atmosphere.

“So you like 2 guys at the same time?” munching on her snack as she had her full attention on me. “basically yes” blushing a little, I know it was wrong. Also, what will my parents think? “Woah you’re amazing” Somi laughed clapping her hands. “But who do you like more?” that was a good question. ‘Who do I like most? Jihoon or Ong?’ it made me thing and compare the both of them.

I got snapped out of my thought when Ong walked into my room. He gestured Somi to get out and be alone with me. Somi awkwardly left and there I was sitting in one room with my big crush.

“What’s my princess up to?” sitting in front of me, his warm hands on my bare knees. I tried to avoid eye contact but fault miserable. “N-nothing…” he smiled lovingly at me. “Can my princess make me some food?” using cringe worth aegyo. For sure it made my heart skip a beat, stiffly nodding my head.

“You’re the best” pecking my left cheek before running out of my room. ‘This man is crazy’ standing up, making my way to the kitchen. I simply made him ramen with some beef and vegetables. I loved how he was enjoying my cooking so much even though it were just simple ramen, he still made It feel like it was a 5-star meal.

I told my best friend from Busan my whole issue with Jihoon and Seongwoo. She is my advice giver whenever I get myself in trouble. And with the trouble I mean I’m flirting with both guys. She suggested me on meeting Jihoon just to make sure if I really like him. I could say it was quite a clever idea, but if it would work is the question.

I decided to call Jihoon instead of texting, to make the awkwardness go away if we ever meet.

And ever since then we’ve been calling quite often. I always made sure I was either home alone or when Daniel and Seongwoo weren’t around.

My feelings for Jihoon became stronger, how sweet he was for me when I felt down. How to send me cute snapchats to cheer me up. His good morning messages, his goodnight kisses through the camera. I could say I was in love with Park Jihoon.

He often sends me snaps from him and his friends, calling out my name or teasing him. Or him wanting me to say ‘Oppa’ and I strongly disagreed with that because I’m just one month younger than him.  But despite our small discussion, I enjoyed every little thing, but Seongwoo made things very difficult.
