Alright, I don't know if you're still taking requests but I had this fun little idea and I just had to leave it here.

A platonic Turtle bois + April(& Casey Jr if possible, don't feel obligated to if you don't feel like writing him tho) x Reader where the gang asks the Reader who's their favorite one(as in favorite best friend), and Reader just insists they don't do favorites until one day Reader forgets their sketchbook there and when the gang takes a little peak at it they just find pages upon pages filled to the brim with full on Mikey drawings(colored, shaded and all), doodles, sketches, even handmade stickers and all along with other stickers that resemble Mikey(like Pizza stickers, tangerines since it's the same as his color, radio boxes, skates all that jazz)

This is totally not because Mikey is my favorite character in the entire series and I think he's pretty underrated compared to his other brothers-

“We all know who it is,” Leo said smugly. Kicking his feet up on the coffe table. “Know who? What now?” You said looking up from your phone. You hadn’t realized it but everyone was looking at you. The turtles, April, and Casey. “Okay I’m definitely missing something..” you said feeling nervous from all their stares. “Oh ya know just that I’m your favorite friend!” Leo continued to say, a wide smirk on his face.

“Leo, don’t kid yourself, I’m their favorite,” Raph said throwing a pillow at the blue clad turtle, it smacked him squarely in the face since he had those smug eyes closed. “Oomph!” He sputtered. “Scoff! You two?? The favorite??? My calculations would state otherwise,” Donnie pipped up. “And let me guess your calculations say you?” Casey asked crossing his arms with a slight smile. “Exactly future boy, exactly,” Donnie replied.

“Well I’d definitely want to be the favorite,” Mikey said excitedly, turning in his bean bag to give you the biggest puppy dog eyes. “Sorry boys, I mean the answer is obviously April O’Neil~~~” April sang confidently. Soon everyone was claiming to be the favorite, trying to talk over one another until you couldn’t even hear your own thoughts.

“Guys!” You said and immediately they hushed, looking expectantly at you, each ready to be proven right. “I don’t have a favorite!” You exasperated, shaking your head at all of them sincerely. “Yes, let them down easy Y/n, the truth can stay between us,” Leo said quickly, because he had totally expected you to say his name. “Leo I’m serious! How could I possibly choose between my best friends??”

“Easy, by saying April O’Neilllllll~~~” she sang again and everyone started arguing again! Casey shot you a glance, shaking his head as if to say ‘oh well what’re you gonna do?’ He had to deal with this same situation not too long ago. He had tried to say the same thing, that he loved everyone equally but c’mon, Leo is totally his favorite. Casey told him so privately just so Leo didn’t break down.

Thankfully they dropped it after you kept your answer steady. No favorites! You were happy to be friends with them alllll. A week went by and you were back at the lair, thinking that the whole discussion was finally over with. When suddenly you got an important call, “Oh my god, I think this is them!! This is it!! I either get the job or get let down!!” Everyone wished you good luck as you stepped out of the living area into the sewers for some privacy.

You had been doodling in your sketchbook, leaving it closed and unattended. Leo’s eyes turned mischievous after a moment of silence. “The time has come!” He announced and everyone was looking his way like ‘oh lord what’s he about to do.’ “Y/n’s prized art book will surely tell us who the favorite is!” Mikey was just as curious as Leo but he knew how private a sketchbook was. “I don’t know Lee..” he started to say reluctantly.

“How about this Mikey just a quick peek!” Raph said as Leo snatched the book, everyone leaning closer from their seats. The first few pages was of the entire group, all laughing or making silly faces which made everyone smile and “awe.” But as Leo kept flipping through pages, the main color of choice became orange. Sketches of Mikey and his stickers, skateboard, the boombox radio he carried around. Mikey’s face flushed a dark green, more than flattered that you had chosen to draw him. “Well well well, Angelo would’ve been my second guess,” Donnie said informatively. It didn’t come as a surprise to the purple turtle because Mikey was his favorite brother.

Leo kept flipping until the pages turned blank. “So Mikey, how’s it feel to be the favorite?” He sniffed, a little jealous but happy for his brother. Especially when he saw how happy Mikey was. “Hurry and put it back Leo!” He said not wanting to get caught rifling through your things. “Guyyyys!” You shouted from the sewers and no sooner you were back into the common area. “I got the job!!” You said smiling a big cheesy smile. Congratulations and cheers were in order and April gave you a big hug, knowing how hard it was to get not just a job but a good job!

Mikey was still reeling from the secret knowledge of him being your favorite. So when the whole gang piled into the hug, he gave you an extra squeeze a slight blush still on his face. “You draw really well by the way,” Leo said in the middle of the hug. A moment of silence for those words to settle and you gasped, “you didn’t!!!” you said in an accusatory tone. He smiled sheepishly, “hey wasn’t just me!” and you turned to the whole group, “so we’re going through everyone’s things now?!”

“It was Leo’s idea,” Donnie made sure to say. “And none of you stopped him?!” Mikey’s fingers came together tapping, “well I tried, but I’m happy I got to see your sketchbook, you do draw really well..” Mikey gave you the brightest smile and it was your turn to blush. Realizing he had seen all of the drawings you did of him, of his things. “I can’t believe you guys!!” You sputtered trying to maintain an angry expression but at this point you were just flattered at getting compliments from Mikey. He inspired you greatly and you thought his artwork was the best out there. “Well, the favorite can make it up to you somehow,” Leo teased and you groaned.

Yeah… Mikey was your favorite.

Going by mylestoyne headcanon of arthur i feel like he and jaime had a similar relationship to that of sansa/joffrey. Like not being cappable of acknowledge that they are 🌠crazy🌠 for a while

idk what Lee’s exact hcs are, but I think Arthur is a very functional character in canon anyway. He exists more as a romanticized concept to most characters than an actual human being. He is a legend personified, and I am obviously not gonna be shocked if George is gonna reveal things about him that will deconstruct his myth more. I personally do not think Arthur is on the level of someone like Joff though, nor would I find that to be necessary to subvert his character. He is the legendary knight for Jaime, as Joff is prince charming for Sansa, sure, like I think you can apply parallels to their quixotic view of such things, but I do not think the twist would have to be him revealed to be someone deeply evil or cruel or fucked up in the head for it to still be thematically meaningful.

Some passages that I do find very informative so far though:

This is a very symbolically rich ritual that is happening here. Even Jaime himself specifically points out how young he was. The language is very interesting: “bled anew” and “a boy knelt; a knight rose”. The language used is establishing a form of parallel between the monster that little girls face (marriage, bridal slavery) with the monster that little boys do (knighthood). These are violent and fatal constructs designed around gender by westerosi society. Just as Arthur seems to embody the virtues of knighthood (his chivalry, his martial prowess), he seems to perpetuate its flaws too. The image that is being conjured here is the sacrifice and bleeding of a 15 year old boy at the altar of knighthood, along with the whole coming of age parallel. But still, there is a darker layer to it that clearly comes across.

This is not a groundbreaking interpretation or anything but I also think Arthur is supposed to be the embodiment of an idealistic image that covers up systemic cracks:

Ned is faced with a certain reality in this dream. One very relevant to him in particular since his relationship with honor. The Kingsguard are upholding their vows above all else. Based on what Gerold says, it is not just about loyalty to Rhaegar, but also Aerys, who they know to be a maniacal tyrant, and we know to be a man ready to commit mass murder on the scale of about half a million people. I said this before but the Kingsguard abide by deeply flawed moral constructs that are designed to serve a feudalistic system. It is framed as more moral for them to passively stand by and serve their king as he commits atrocities than to protect the innocent:

We do also know that Arthur was closer to Rhaegar than anyone else on the KG, so his actions of passivity and following orders might not have been the same as a blind loyalty to his vows. Rhaegar wanted to make changes, he tells this to Jaime directly before riding to his doom. Arthur could very well have been acting primarily in the hopes of serving Rhaegar’s supposed better world. We have ways that he is characterized, and i think he is juxtaposed with Gerold enough to establish conflict in his character and frames him pretty differently. That still does not change the reality and consequences of his actions though.

Another key passage:

This paints him in a pretty moral light. However, how I read Jaime’s description of this: I do not think that can be conflated with a purely altruistic desire to aid the smallfolk. Gaining their love was a tool for a goal, a means to an end: getting the Kingswood Brotherhood. Sure, the effects of that are objectively good, and it meaningfully aids smallfolk, so one could argue that these things matter little, but there is a key issue here. There is an ulterior motive. The moment your goals do not allign with morally good actions, and your king does things that makes the people suffer, the whole thing falls apart. This is something that Jaime’s AFfC arc deals with constantly. It is how I read the golden hand, the one that covers up the ugliness of his stump. He should know this, the kingslayer will always be more honorable than golden hand the just. True “honor” does not come with glory (you better leave that horse behind my guy).

Nonetheless, I believe George does really like to play around with the idea that, at the end of the day, his characters are not just gods, monsters, or legends, but humans. They are also not just metaphors. There is a lot on the shoulders of a man that is a living legend. Many will inevitably crumble under that weight, so that is another interesting layer worthy of exploration. Arthur could have been a man with good intentions who was “soiled by the white cloak” along the way.

In terms of the relationship of these two, I want Jaime to realize that Arthur Dayne is not the one he should try to emulate.

He might have dreamed of him as a young boy, but he dreamed of Brienne as an adult.

Zhongli x Diluc x Childe

A/N: first fic of our lil event! I hope you like this Anon and I apologize if they're a bit ooc! Also this pairing is sooo good, I've been wanting to write them for a while! Thank you very muuuch~

Zhongli liked many things about Mondstadt.

He liked the weather. Mondstadt was always fresher and windier than Liyue.

He liked the aromas. To him, Liyue usually smelled like spicy food, old ink, paper, and books, but Mondstadt smelled like flowers, fruits, spring, and fermented grapes.

He liked the wine. So rich in flavors and smell and color. He liked the way the liquid tingled against his tongue and burned in his throat. It made his mouth water and and he was always tempted to ask for more and more until it was too much, even for him.

But, above all, there was something else that Zhongli really, really liked about Mondstadt...

"F-Fahahahatuhuhui, lehehet gohoho!"

Diluc's laughter.

"Diluuuc, stop calling me that already! We've been dating for months!"

"Stahahahap!"

More specifically, Diluc's tickle laugh.

Zhongli watched with hidden amusement how Childe pinned Diluc against the couch and ran his nimble fingers down Diluc's sides, tickling him until the Dawn winery master was laughing wholeheartedly.

This situation was not strange between Diluc and Childe. On every visit Childe and Zhongli made to Mondstadt to see their boyfriend, Childe always had to end up tickling him until there were tears clinging to his lashes.

The reason to tickle Diluc always varied. Right now it was because Childe placed a kiss underneath Diluc's ear and the latter let out the sweetest of giggles; wanting to hear more of that sound, Childe just started his attack.

Zhongli was pleased.

"Xiahahansheheheng!" Diluc laughed, arching his back off the couch when Childe squeezed at his ribs. "Mahahake your l-lohohover stahahap!"

Zhongli chuckled behind his glass of wine when Childe let out a loud, offended gasp.

"Excuse me?! Last time I checked I was also your lover!" He said, digging in just a little harder and faster, drawing out loud cackles from Diluc's lips. "You're so mean even when you're in this position, huh? I'll have no mercy now."

Diluc shrieked, wrapping his arms around his torso in an attempt to protect himself, but Childe quickly moved his hands down to squeeze his hips and the the winery master tilted his head back with loud laughter.

"Xiahahansheheheng! Hehehelp mehehe!"

Zhongli smiled warmly. Diluc was someone very serious and discreet. He rarely shared smiles even with Childe and Zhongli, so seeing him laugh like this was always something Zhongli enjoyed to the core. That was why he usually pretended to be very busy to help Diluc out: 'ah, I'm reading this book, give me a moment', 'I'm making tea, give me a second', 'My hands are hurting a little, Diluc. You know, old age and stuff.'

"Xiansheng," Childe said, making Zhongli look at him. "I think you should help me instead because what Diluc said was very rude, don't you think?"

Zhongli chuckled again, taking another sip of his delicious wine before standing up. "Yes. I think you're right, Ajax."

Diluc gasped between laughs, "Whahat?! N-No, Zhohohongli! Mahahake him stahahap!" Diluc begged, but Zhongli pretended he didn't hear him and made his way over the mess they were creating on the couch.

Childe giggled and he stopped tickling Diluc to grab him by the shoulders, pulling him up a little so Zhongli could take a seat.

"Excuse me," Zhongli said softly, sitting down. Childe let go of Diluc and his head fell unceremoniously against Zhongli's lap. "Well, hello there."

Diluc blushed, his lips trembling with a nervous smile. "Y-You're a traitor, you always- gahahahaha! L-Leheheheave thohohose alohohone!" Diluc laughed when Childe's fingers found his hips again.

He writhed, his hands blindy trying to catch Childe's, but he was already losing strength and coordination from laughing so much.

Zhongli stared at his face. Diluc was a beautiful man, but when he smiled so big and hard like this, Zhongli felt a heavy and warm sensation wrap around his racing heart. It was simply mesmerizing.

"Zhongli-Xiansheng, you're not helping here!" Childe whined, giggling when Diluc actually caught one of his wrists and pulled at it, away from his hip. "Agh! He got me!"

"Do not worry, I will help now," Zhongli said and his gloved fingers immediately pressed against Diluc's ribs.

"NAHAHA!" Diluc shrieked with laughter, his hand letting go of Childe's wrist to protect his ribs. "Ahahaha! Not thehehere, Zhohohongli!" He begged, bucking heavily when his hips were under attack again.

Zhongli giggled softly when Diluc threw his head back against his lap, exposing his neck. He looked over at Childe and Childe looked back at him with a bright grin.

In the blink of an eye, Childe moved forward and his lips found that sensitive spot under Diluc's ear once more and kissed at it repeatedly. Diluc screeched with laughter, shaking his head and twisting this way and that as his hips and ribs were still being tickled mercilessly.

"PLEHEHEASE!" He laughed in nearly hysterics. "It tihihickles reheheally bahahad! AHAHAHA!"

Zhongli's thumbs rubbed awkward, (because Childe was in the way), deep circles against Diluc's lower ribs, knowing very well that that was one of his weaknesses. He was not disappointed by the loud laughter pouring from his lover's lips and he felt his heart doing summersaults when he heard Diluc calling him between his laughter.

"I GIHIHIVE UHUHUP! Plehehease! I'm gohohoing crahahazy!" He said and both Zhongli and Childe stopped at once.

Diluc collapsed against the couch and on Zhongli's lap, and Zhongli carded his fingers through Diluc's red locks as Childe caught Diluc's residual laughter into his mouth, peppering kisses against the other's lips, making him giggle softly.

"Why d-dohoho you ahahalways do thihis?" Diluc asked breathlessly, looking up at Childe who smirked down at him.

"Because Xiansheng and I love listening to you laugh," he said, his fingers lightly scribbling against Diluc's waist. "But because you never provide, then we have to take this matter in our hands."

Zhongli laughed softly when Diluc rolled his eyes, but he definitely noticed that blush latching to his ears and he couldn't help but gently tug at his earlobe, causing him to giggle more.

"Besides, you absolutely enjoy it," Childe suddenly added and Diluc's face turned as red as his hair.

"That's- that's not true! I do not- GAHAHAHA! Nohohot agahahain!"

"This time we won't stop until you admit you like it when we tickle you!"

"N-Nehehever- AHAHAHA!"

"Zhongli, hurry! Get his neck!"

Zhongli looked at his silly boyfriends with a tender smile and he thought that he really liked many things about Mondstadt, but this was definitely his favorite.
