Is This What You Call...Safety?|| Hush Hush
A/N: This is for my friend Jayde for her belated birthday! Enjoy bb!
@ledabunnie-rp @nevergoodenoughforthetruth
Vincent had came to work, but he had gone through his load entirely too fast. He was mostly at the hands of one guy- and he was the host. However, it was too late to really think about it before the drugs had set in, causing the man to stumble and fumble as the pills he took before the party mixed with the lean in the cup he finished while making sales. He was a blurry mess and somehow guided his way to the closest bathroom he found in a part of this rented house where most of the goers in this area were having sex or chatting it up so they could hear. He pushed past them, going into the first open door and falling into it. âOh..fuck..â he muttered as he almost collided with the wall, feeling the tile and touching the wall as the spinning continued and he found his way into the toilet, vomiting immediately before finding the flush lever.
Leda forgot that she didnât lock the door, so the really cute boy in the skin tight chinos and boots with the long hair barged in it scared her half to death. She put her 3DS down and slid her headphones off, about to bang on the glass chamber that was the stand alone shower until something stopped her and it just made her watch the man try to recover as he lit a cigarette.Â
The man propped himself up and crawled to the top of the toilet and threw the lid down as he took another drag, trying to see where the light switch was even though there was a hue of red and purple from the string lights. Quickly giving up on his adventure he threw up one more time into the bowl and sat up on the closed toilet, dragging his cigarette while he let the cool porcelain calm him down. He heard the distant movements in the shower and pryed one eye open to barely see a girl with turquoise hair in a rave outfit with a backpack or something staring at him in a clear box. "Who's in the shower?" He calls out, rocking his head back and forth fighting the nausea.
"I'm here in spirit..I don't exist," Leda said back, weary at how he was able to spot her.
"That's the most human thing I've ever heard from a spiritual entity," he laughs and scoffs, "That's a cute voice you got, you have a name oh spirit?"
"I'm... not telling you that.." she said, "And you die from a heart attack in here im not saving you."
"Are...you... you're in here.. you're human- fuck i can't see- are you in the shower? Is that why you sound like that?" He asked with a small joke, "Wanna cigarette?"
"Maybe.. if you can't see then how are you smoking and offering me one?" She challenged him.
"Muscle memory. You'd be surprised how many things you can do automatically.. Just with your arms and hands..." he trailed off, "Also you didnt drink out of the cup when you got here? You sound like... crazy sober."
"No..I didn't, Felix told me about it before the party and I just-"
"Wanted to keep your clout you came to this party even though you didn't want to, but you didn't wanna let your friends down, but you didnt wanna just sit at home on a Friday night again..I heard something close, did you bring a video game?" He said.
"Shut the fuck up, Vincen-"
"Ohhh you do know me... interesting. It must be because of Felix... speaking of, wonder who he's got down his throat...Ah, I'll worry about it later...I thought I knew his friends.." he muses, I would remember an ethereal voice like yours.."
"I...I..." she was stuck, she shouldn't have said his name, "Thanks for the compliment, can you go back to quietly being too fucked up on drugs to acknowledge me now?"
"Actually...I've overstayed my welcome at this place anyway.. there's a guy in here and he's... less than thrilled his house got rented out for the debauchery that is horny college students," he mentioned, slowly lowering himself on the floor and crawling to Leda, placing himself against the wall, facing straight ahead with the girl in what would be his peripheral.
Leda's ears perked up, he knows there's a spirit in here? Was he just pulling her leg or what? His eyes were still closed but his voice sounded way better up closer than across the large bathroom. The crackles and creaks of it made her nervous. "There isn't anyone in here," she claims supposedly.
"No... he's dead. The house was sold to a PM that rents houses out for events and vacations..he likes the renovation though...He showed me he carried you in here," Vincent said, "You woke up and immediately tried to protect yourself in the shower."
"Now you're making shit up," she called out wrapping on the glass box.
"If I'm making shit up then how'd you get in here?" He asked and was met with silence, "You don't remember... do you?..He told me you just kinda walked out your house with the lights on.. guess he didn't want you to get hurt- but seriously, how did you not drink the syrup at the door?"
"I poured it out when no one was looking and washed out the cup with vodka and hoped an appletini would calm me down.. cus I got really anxious being around everybody pushing everyone and the music is too loud..." she started, drawing her knees to her chest, "He scared the shit out of me."
Vincent laughed, "Yeah that's how i was when i saw him standing in the middle of the room... Did you want the cigarette? Also i have a valium if you want one.."
Leda smiled when he laughed, feeling way better that someone other than her could see spirits and understood possession. She knew what valium was, and just one couldn't hurt with a cigarette cutting it up, "He tell you how he died?"
"Wife poisoned him.. then shot him.. didn't take the divorce very well... sounds like a gold-digging bitch anyway," Vincent said as he used his to light another for her.
"Wow... you don't wanna share?" She gasped quietly as she slid her hand out of a crack in the door to take the cig.
"That.. would mean I get closer... didn't think you'd want that.. you know who I am..I'm the drug dealer on this campus... You don't know what I'm capable of.." he warns her, finally looking into the glass at the door, "I sold all the things I have so anything at this point is personal stock.. but..I couldn't keep a freebie from a cutie like you holy shit...If I could see you like he showed me, I dunno if I could contain myself.. What color is your hair?" He leans into the glass as his head starts spinning again almost muttering his words. He gets up and takes out a Tic-Tac, fumbling his way to the sink and crunching on it as he washed his mouth out on the faucet, wetting his face and wiping it on a towel before bringing the damp cloth to the floor. He stumbled back to the huge glass chamber on his hands and knees, opening the door and crawling over her and excusing himself before settling next to her.
Leda was shaken to her core at his words, and forgot that he was probably on a few different drugs and high on something else. She couldn't get her mouth to open to create the words. She quickly forgot the question and watched with wide eyes as she no longer was terrified of opening the door when Vincent pushed it back and crawled to her. She was almost shaking as he excused himself. "Purple a-and pink," she stammered, "I have to dye it again..I'm doing black with tips.."
"Hm..i see," Vincent said with a weak nod, pushing his wet hair back again as he exhaled, "I'm sorry I'm trying to come down and this shit is coming in like... waves and.. fuck~"
"What is it specifically?" She asked, taking him in, he looks so interesting yet her eyes darted back to the toilet across the room, "And don't worry I don't need the valium right away..â
"Ah shit right.. the valium.. doing what weed has done for years since the 70s," he chided as he fished a pill bottle out of his pocket, then handing her two pills of different shape and color.
"What's that?" She quickly asked.
"Muscle relaxant..that's for you too..helps the valuim, no psychoactive side effects to speak of...reduces lactic acid," he mentioned, relighting her cig, "I have friends in pharmaceutical chemistry.. they really hook me up and in return they get paid in weed.. down the hatch."
Leda's heart was racing at how he sounded so close to her, lighting her up like a gentleman even as a slumped mess. She smoked quietly as he had fallen into another unconscious stupor while the drugs were doing their job. They were working faster than she expected. "Vincent..." she called to the ceiling, "I'm tired.."
"I thought you would be..i forgot to tell you it acts fast.. but you're fine I promise," he mentioned.
"No I feel amazing, I just...I need something soft to lay on," she sighed.
"How about we go to one of the suites?" He offered, "I can see now if my legs will work."
They get up, getting out of the bathroom in search for unoccupied rooms. Settling on the empty pool house, where they found an open skylight in the bathroom since the doors were locked. They bust in and find the bedroom, resuming their conversation in this California simple and dainty king bed.
"Why'd you lock the bathroom door?" She asked as she lit her own cig even though she just begged him for it.
"You always do that at college parties if you create another entrance to the bathroom.." he said simply laying back on the end of the bed with his legs planted to the floor, bending his head up to see the girl snuggled in his jacket, twisting his body to lay on his stomach, "uhhmm yeah, you lock the door behind you at any party because frat boys with give you a swirly or worse..or someone who's eager to use the bathroom and they're too fucked up to be aware so they do it on you-"
"Ugh that's gross!" She exclaimed, laughing lightly, really allowing herself to enjoy this guy that she barely knew and at most should have hated. He just was so sweet and up her alley for her to ever admit but he undoubtedly made an effort to come to this party for her. She hadn't realized until she looked down and saw him looking up at her again from her feet. She could kill for his eyes and the way he collapsed on her legs to just touch them, it was sending electricity as dull needy aches through her body. "Vincent~... what are you doing?"
"Admiring your body... listening to you talk.. thinking about how i can get my jacket back," he croaks stretching a little, lightly throwing his head back on the bed, "What you thinking?"
"Have you come down yet?" She asked cutely, and instantly panicked at her casual feelings of interaction with him.
"Not all the way, I'd have to sleep it off mostly or something...sex also resets the clock, but...we're not doing that," he mentions while he rubs his eyes, checking his phone.
Her chest caved when he mentioned sex, and even though he wasn't offering it up, she just wondered what it would feel like to be that close with a guy like him. If this is all he usually did, outside of being a homewrecker as she's heard, then maybe he's not a creep. Girls do lie in college for any reason, but always putting themselves at an advantage. "Uhh.." seeped out of her mouth before she bit her lip and tried to disguise that.
"You know I'm looking right at you, right?" He says to her, giggling at her embarrassment, "Don't feel like you have to...I know you've got a problem with peer pressure-"
"I don't!...I don't have a problem with peer pressure..shut up!" She bit at him.
"Rawr...calm down kitty cat, put the claws away..Im just saying. Me mentioning sex kinda made you think," Vincent said, "When's the last time you got some..if you have gotten any- cus I have came across a few virgins..."
"Were they virgins when you were done with them?" She asked tongue in cheek.
"Mostly. I respeected that they didn't want sex...and they're firm in their beliefs that they're still a virgin if thou therein whereto receive or produce cunnilingus... they just want neverending head. It's heroine to them," he explains gesticulating to make it interesting and twisting his voice.
"Isn't that a good thing?" She asked, loosening her grip on the pillow she was holding.
"I don't mind it... but sometimes they're horrible at head and that's all they can do. Girls at this school count the ass too, so even face-fucking is a far cry."
"Oh..okay...Uhhh..I haven't thought about it, honestly.. been kinda dealing with my issues over having sex. The stories I hear about hooking up really have weirded me out.." she's admitted.
"Are you a virgin?" He asked, exaggerating his inflection.
"Unfortunately no.. well, I consider myself a born-again...I don't really remember a lot of the sex I used to have, and since it was... traumatic, to say the least, I'd rather act like it didnât happen and get more memorable experiences, cus...I heard it's fun if done right," she explained.
"It is...I'll keep it in mind.." he nodded with a smirk, sighing as a weak wave passed thru him.
"Yeah.. but.. you've peaked my curiosity, honestly," she jumped up to say, causing Vincent to turn his head and raise an eyebrow.
"I hardly think that's fair," he said with a giggle, "You took a valium and a muscle relaxant..you'll never cum or cum too much. Im fucked up, and not exactly of consenting or open to communicating during sex like you might need me to..."
"That's... true.. then why touch my legs if you weren't going to?" She asked, a little frustrated, kicking her legs a little.
"See? That's what I'm talking about!... Acting like a brat when you haven't asked for anything," he said, giggling.
"But...I..." she started, realizing herself that he was right.
"You didn't straight up ask for sex.. you implied that it interests you..I can't start anything off implications," he explained, sitting up.
"I know how consent works, don't fucking patronize me!" She snapped shoving his chest with her foot. He falls back and rolls his eyes, which makes her more riled up, throwing his jacket on the floor.
"Leda.. what the fuck?" He asked sitting up on his knees to look at his jacket, "What the hell is your problem?"
"Don't act all fucking innocent! I know you.. you're a damn dog and you would've had me 5 ways to Sunday by now! Rosanna told me how creepy and controlling you are-"
"Thaaaaat's who it is... see i knew it sounded familiar.. You're her rogue drone! I just didn't realize... are you spying on me? Did she send you?" He jumped up once he realized why she knew him, her name would come up with he spoke to Rosanna, possibly whenever they were speaking again.
"Wh-No! She's not even at this party! She's with Mark!" She fussed, "It doesn't mean she's wrong..."
"Uh that's exactly what the fuck it means-"
"Why should I listen to you?" She prodded, folding her arms.
"You've got this fucking far! Wouldn't you want to at least understand my side? Ms. Confectionery Prodigy got some skeletons of her own," he was quick to explain how they had a fleeting relationship that was mostly roleplay meetings and oral and heavy petting. Leda wasn't entirely convinced and he made her promise not to tell anyone before he showed their messages leading up until the first 3 months she was dating Mark. It was Ro no doubt. Her fantastical language and promptness in response, pastry emojis as her signature. Cookie's toys in her explicit pictures.
"That's ridiculous..so she just left you for dead?" Leda asked, knowing she just swore never to speak of this, but she had some questions because he'd seen a side of her not even Mark has seen. And probably never will. "Why?" She asked simply.
"Said I reminded her of her ex. She was in deep with the guy.. he was older so she felt like her freedom in her youth had kinda been held back, so she went after me and Mark because she just... found herself in the middle of being young at heart but feeling grown and confident...I guess.. but she's always worried about her lies being found out and she loves a secret if she can help it," he said with a shrug, "They way she spoke about him, I'd love to drink with him, but, she's just happy where she is and who was I to stop her? If she hadn't made me a villain then she would have lost everything- from her confidence to her credibility."
"So you just... leave her alone? That's..that's," Leda was almost at a loss, but it was both the most mature and childish and high school thing she had ever heard. This felt like the heaviest thing she's encountered in a while.
"Not for you to think about," Vincent said, quickly and low as he had inched closer to brush her hair behind her ear, "Humans are complex creatures.. weaving these dangerous webs of lies and history.. you should always worry about your own but don't ever give anyone the benefit of the doubt.."
Leda couldn't handle his gentle touch or his words, she wanted to still be mad and hate him for it but she didn't know how. She wanted to be mad at Ro for being such a hypocrite but most of that was pushed back when she felt his lips on her jawline. It made her shudder and lean into him, submitting herself into the kiss that could replace her first kiss. She wanted more, she wanted him. Her mouth pushed out little sounds against him, whining quietly when he pulled back and breathed with a smile. "Vincent~" she breathed, her head in a tizzy.
"You want it don't you?" He asked, his lower voice sending shivers through her body.
"Can I have more, though, ..of what you gave me?" She asked, "I-"
"Later, okay?.. You'll be fine without it," he interrupted her with a soft smile and backing up to give her space to breathe and rubbing her back.
âUhm...I feel like-â
âYouâre overwhelmed...itâs okay. You seem confused, and it scares you a little...â
âI wouldnât say it scares me..I just have never related to someone I now wish I hadnât met..so much so..Because..Rosanna...Rosanna would-â the girl gasped and controlled her hollow breathing, definitely happy she had his hand on her back to focus on.
âYou donât know what Rosanna would do..and you really thought youâd known her..is that it?â he asked.
âY-Yes!..N-No~! I-I mean...I donât know how I feel~ Iâm really into you, but...but why me?!â she asked looking at him with slight exasperation.
âYou look like you deserve not to be living in someoneâs shadow just because you donât see yourself that way,â he answered.
âIs that what you said to Rosanna?â she asked, narrowing her eyes.
âNo..what I said to Rosanna to start our whole fling is..vastly different from just us talking about a mutual friend-â
âWhat about my current state makes you think Iâm gonna be friends with her-â
âYou wouldnât throw her away for me..â
Leda leered at the Vincent and clenched her jaw, knowing that this whole night was something sheâd throw her whole life away just so sheâd know where in the world heâd whisk her away to and for how long. âAnd what if I did?â she asked at a low whisper.
âWhat do you think youâd deserve for doing that? Because I definitely didnât ask you to renounce your gods and join my great legion of the undead...â
âThis would totally work if I was a Virgo or a Taurus, but Iâm a Leo, so you must not understand-â
âIâm a Sagittarius, and Iâm attempting to be very patient but since I know I donât have to Iâll call you stupid to your face. That would be one of the dumbest decisions you could make but the fact that I make you feel like youâd rather make that decision than live with the âwhat-ifsâ or knowing that you could never look at Rosanna the same way again because I arouse you intellectually and emotionally-â
âDonât forget sexually-â
âAnd sexual- Really?â Vincent looked over at her.
âYou talk a lot, I see why she liked you...âÂ
âYou hate talking about yourself-â
âI can talk about myself-â
âYou canât even tell me you want to have sex with me let alone that you like me..also, I feel like that should be thought about after tonight...given the circumstances,â Vincent sitting up, backing away from her more. It causes the girl to stare at him at the loss of touch completely, pushing out a frustrated sigh. The air was tight to her, but Vincent rolled his eyes and pulled the glass rod from his jacket pocket in front of her and smoked out of it.
âSo...could you maybe stop being an aloof prick and explain to me how to get laid?â she said while pulling the ponytail out of her hair and taking the rod from his fingers and smoking out of it.
âYou want to fuck me specifically or you want some faceless hookup?â he asked giggling.
âWhat exactly is a faceless hookup, Vincent?â she asked, her eyes meeting his again for the first time in a while and still couldnât keep herself together. His hand was gently over hers and she deciding on playing with his fingers, biting her lip.
âWell, first off, youâd have to take off your clothes...then Iâd suggest a brief makeout session before first or second base- given that my way of doing these things is slow mostly-â
âI dunno if I have the patience for slow,â Leda said quickly as she slid off the side of the bed and stood up, pulling her pants down and deciding to undo the knot that kept her shirt up, hiding her midriff. Then got back to Vincent as he tried to watch, but his mind flowed with ideas. He pushed himself forward, planting his feet on the floor and taking off his boots. He looked up at Leda, who was waiting for him patiently, which made him smirk as he stood up and gave way to his jeans.
âYou donât have the patience for slow?â he echoed.
âNah, never did. Guys usually donât take their time with me or they had made up their minds already and I hadnât gotten a choice,â she explained, hoping her shirt hid her thighs rubbing together at the crooner in front of her. She could feel her anxiety rise in an interesting way as Vincent saw right through her. âVincent-â she didnât mean to breathe.
He raised his eyebrows as he heard the wind whisper his name, and he quickly moved around her to make the back of her more aligned to the back of the bed. She gasped a little as she heard his phone and wallet hit the nightstand and did a magicianâs gesture to make a condom appear between his fingers, âNot yet, though.â
âWhy?â she asked.
âYou tell me,â he said, gently taking her waist into his hands and Leda could barely hold in her exhale and moan as it felt so slight as her body moved into it. All of the thoughts started flooding and so did the memories. She felt like he could be there at any second, but there was Vincent blocking him. Her body ached a bit at how he just froze. âYour lips look so soft and plush..and I like your hair down like this.â
The girl tried to hide, but it was met with another squeeze, âV-Vincent~â she sputtered as he kept yanking her out of her head, feeling the muscle relaxants and the weed mix.Â
âYou alright, babe?â he asked softly in her ear, being sure to not touch her elsewhere. Leda didnât understand why she felt this way.Â
âNo..â her voice shook as she gulped, âMy headâs going crazy but my bodyâs not..and I want to be terrified, but thatâs..just..not what Iâm feeling...What was in that tube thing?..â She finally asked.
âWeed obviously...not even the stuff I sold tonight. Itâs a preview from the guy I buy off of-â
âI donât really smoke grass-â
âIs it because THC can be a psychostimulant?â
âYe-yes!..I feel like-â she cut herself off and took in his cologne instead. She couldnât let him know what all she was thinking. It wouldnât make sense. She would look more certifiably crazy then. Her mouth pushed out half of moan as she exhaled his scent where she tasted the cigarette and the fact they had been at a college house party.Â
âI was gonna tell you to take a deep breath but you did it already-â
âAre you...Are you gonna fuck me or not?â she balled up her fists.
âIf you would let me fucking finish and stop interrupting me solely to say something that would piss me off then yes!â Vincent said as he let her sides go and folded his arms.
âNot my fault you drugged me and are taking your time..â she folded hers and looked away from him, not wanted to meet his eyes.
âSo what, I was supposed to brazenly assau- Ooooohhhhhh....Youâre not mad at me..And...I just became mad at myself for realizing it-â
âWhat?â she asked, whipping her head towards his.
âYou donât know how to enjoy it, because youâve never been given the option..nor the opportunity,â he mentioned, returning his hands to her sides quickly.Â
âWhat?!â Leda asked, more surprised and now sent back through those thoughts of him touching her again, âYou do-donât know if I-â
âYou told me you did..I dunno if it changed..did it?â putting slightly more pressure to allow her to embrace him.
âUgh~..no..â she once again cursed herself on the inside from only getting a hug from being revved up by his hands lingering on her waist and lower back. Part of her just wanted to let go, or at least tell him to- since part of her completely trusted him. He passed the tests. He was so close to figuring her out and it angered her how clandestine he could carry himself through it all. Her body relaxed into the long hug and waited for this to not be real. For Vincent to pop a hard-on or something so that she knew he was doing all of this because he was still plastered and wanted to bed her. It was hard to expect him to do that when he would talk and his hands wouldnât really move. And when he moved he tried to stay quiet. Ledaâs arms started to move once again, snaking her arms up and crossed them behind his neck, âB-be...be gentle, alright?â she pulled back slightly to meet his eyes- gods those eyes- and his hair in his face before kissing him.
x
Leda was at Vincentâs again, no longer afraid of him or his touch, if anything, heâs the only one whom she trusted. Before she would be ready to fight if anyone tried to touch her, and obviously Vincent was given exclusive access. However, Vincent had to always do something to salvage their experiences, and there were times where he didnât have it in him.Â
The fresh couple lived through such a visceral honeymoon stage that Leda couldnât think that a guy could have loved her more than the one who was after Cameron. She tried so hard not to think about it. One evening Leda was excitedly waiting for Vincent in the car while he made a sale. This is how they started dating and it just became something she found herself doing before she stopped staying in her dorm and sleeping at Vincentâs apartment. He came back and put everything in the trunk before getting in the car and only resting his head in his arms over the steering wheel with a huge sigh.
âBaby..you ok?â she asked as she sat up and rubbed his back.Â
âNo..â he said quietly, desperately trying to keep himself together.Â
âWell..we..we gotta go..or..are we going somewhere?â Leda said, looking up and looking around.
âI have to go back in there...Itâs not like..I mean you donât care right?â he finally says when he sits up and pushes his hair back.
âHow can you even ask me that question?â Leda looked at him, coming off louder than she expected, âWhat do you mean?â
âWeâre not...This isnât..Look itâs a party in there and...I wanna be single tonight. Like my boss, heâs- fucking treating me to the party in there and I canât tell him youâre in here and you donât do parties so-â
âI never said I donât do parties. I donât do party drugs and uncomfortable situations-â
âYour whole life is an uncomfortable situation, Leeds,â Vincent chuckles lightly, reaching in a pocket for his cig he started before he went in the first time, âItâs not gonna take me that long, babe..â
âWait! Youâre actually going back to the party?â she pushed her hand on his chest, then shook her head slowly, âWhat the fuck?â
âIâm going back in, yes. To enjoy the party? No...To probably get my dick sucked by a drunk Sean McLoughlin cus heâs been walled up and he said he would?..Yea-â he gave her some theatrics before turning away.
âNOO!â she snatched his shoulder, âAre you fucking kidding me?!â
âWhat? Youâre not going to do anything about it. And itâs not gonna change anything with..us..per say...itâs just Iâm having sex with Sean tonight,â he tried to explain.
âIâm not fucking stupid! Thatâs if I allowed you to! Who put you at the head of this relationship?â she looked at him, perplexed and angry.
âWho put you at the head of this relationship? Listen, half of this problem is the fact that I fuck other people. The other half would be the disrespect of dishonesty and Iâm not giving you that!â he said trying to deescalate the situation.
Leda was so upset and couldnât believe that he was just trying to brush off cheating in her face. He had brought up a few good points, so maybe he doesnât understand how this hurts her, âOk but youâre not respecting my additional choices, the fact that I may feel some type of way about it- You just came in here and told me youâre gonna fuck Sean!â
âIs it because itâs Sean specifically?â he asked, pulling back a little.
âUrgh! No! Well-..no, because...I should call Mark because he should be home right now,â Leda tried to say, feeling caught up by his question and now enraged that she felt anything because he was still in the wrong.Â
âWe can drop him off,â he shrugged and chuckled before looking over to her, âOh come on! I wouldnât not stop the car or anything like that. Iâd make sure heâs sober or at least hydrated...but he looks like he could blow off some steam and he gets a safe ride home. You can bring him in his dorm, tuck him in, let Mark know he got back in one piece- fuck! Knowing Musclebound Buffpants heâs probably on his way because Sean probably called him accidentally on purpose.â
âHeâs with Ro tonight..she told me heâs being held hostage for the night,â she interjected with not as much energy, âWhy wonât you take him in? Youâre the guy!â
âIâm in the running to apply for Alpha president..I donât have good luck with being seen in a good light..You know that, you came from the factory,â Vincent scoffed, before finishing the cig and flicking the butt out of the window and blowing the smoke with it, âAnd so because Ro is with her future husband, you have to play pretend with me?â
âNo! Canât we just...like hang out?! What the fuck is your problem?â Leda snapped at him, throwing her hands up.
âThis! This moment right now and everything about it is my problem, Leda!â Vincent snapped back, âAnswer me this, am I your boyfriend?â
âNo, I-â
âRight. Not your boyfriend. And youâre not my girlfriend. You wonât let us call us an us...and why is that again?â
âBecause youâre a fucking prick.â
âAh no..sorry, we were looking for you care too much about Roâs opinion and your social status with her friendship.â
âNo I fucking donât! I donât need to be with her like that!â she defended weakly.
âListen, if you donât like what Iâm doing then take my car and do whatever the fuck you want and Iâll call you in an hour. Go back to my place, go fuck someone else, go have a some weird lesbian fantasy about your best friends and deny it in an attempt to keep them because you know you donât have a chance. Go hang with someone else, actually fucking take your meds and do your homework for once-â
âShut up, Vincent!â she yelled as she shoved him, causing him to abruptly get up, slamming the door shut and wrangling his car key off his ring and tossing it in the car. Leda had screamed when he shut the door, holding her arms up defensively as she heard the keys fly into the car through the driverâs window and hit the dashboard.. the girl cried for several minutes and contemplated going into the party, but it was too dangerous. She realized she shouldnât have come with him. She takes his car and has a night out of her own, knowing Charlie was probably aching for some human contact.Â
X
Vincent couldnât believe he actually was able to move in. He was already so excited to be the Alpha house president, even if not everyone agreed with him. Rosanna dutifully worked under him and kept herself busy, vowing to herself and to Mark that they almost never see one another unless it concerns the house. Vincent could still see every moment they had together. He doesnât ignore her lingering looks and touches while they tried to quickly check and proof records and evaluations and documents for the house. She didnât regret no looking back when she could still steal glances from the very corners of her eyelids and faintly think of Mark for a second. Allowing their imagery, their voices, their strength to overtake her for a fleeting moment before she was brought back and remembered the business at hand.Â
Since Leda disappeared with his car a few weeks back, Vincent hadnât a clue what came over her after one fight on one night. She hadnât known where sheâd gone, but didnât know what Cyr had done with the things of hers that she left. She went up to the registry and seen that Cyr lived in Alpha now. She had remembered him very vaguely discussing running for Alpha president, but hadnât really cared about it at the time- she thought he wouldnât get it. Vincent was going over the printout of the proposal for an event that Rosanna had suggested to boost revenue and new pledge turnout when he got a shiver, and it made him play it off by rolling his neck. âYou ok?â Ro cooed, rubbing his shoulders, Vincent sinking in.
The girl had found out that he had done away with his off-campus apartment for Greek Row, so she took the long walk going up from the office. Ro hadnât been this sweet on him, and she didnât know what came over her in this moment to try her luck- to see if it still pulled the same, to see if it was still like lighting a fuse, to see if he remembered her. She couldnât help herself taking in his relaxation into her hands and watching him push his glasses off, âAh..yeah uh...Youâre just gonna have to come back for the second..revision...tomorrow- I..I donât think Iâm gonna get this done,â he said, rubbing his face and taking a few more breaths before taking both her hands in his swiftly and gently, bringing them on top of one another, and closing them in his as he directed her to come from behind him. He locked eyes with her as he slowly stood up, towering over her as he let her hands fall, hearing the light gasp as her hands fell. The lanky man turned back around, having already excusing himself past her to start gathering the papers on the table, at her noise, âYou alright, doll?â he asked plainly and still killed her.
Leda knew somewhere that maybe if she could admit her side of the story, things would be smoother. She could definitely talk to Ro about Cyr than to Cyr about Ro, and since no one can know, it felt even more important. She admired all the people around and the new faces for a mundane weekday on campus as she strolled onto Greek Row, seeing the lights on and the Congratulations banner still up from his apparent celebration. Vincent felt the shiver again as he put his shirt back on and played it off by adjusting it. Ro was long gone, but it was another isolated moment of quick stimulation. All she ever wants is to be touched, and he knew all the right spots and loved the noises she made when he did get them just the right way. It didnât worry Leda much that Ro wasnât answering her phone at this time of day, she probably fell asleep after a brisk walk with Cookie. Joey sang her praises for her return and spoke of the boy whoâs car sheâd stolen and no longer had. âLeda~..wow...I wasnât sure what happened, but you can come get all your stuff- uh...I dunno if you wanna talk or anything-â
âWho is she?â Leda asked, pushing past him and wiped her finger across his lips then showing him, âWhoever it is, itâs a cute color..â
âLeda, I think you owe me an explanation-â he said flatly, pulling off his shirt entirely and wiping his face.
âIs my room in here still good?â she asked as she immediately started picking out and finding clothes. She was safe here again, she didnât need to hide.Â
âI let them give it up for more room, we had an influx of- Stop that...Leda, talk to me-â he said, strolling over before getting a hand to the chest.
âCongrats on becoming President, baby~! How about..we celebrate?..Just you and me! Just like before! Hm? I wanna take a shower first, though, cus Iâve been...traveling all day,â she led him into the bathroom as she turned the shower on.
âCan we talk while you shower?â he asked, standing and filling the doorway, âYou know this whole suite is mine. So it really is just us.â
âNah..you, me, the spirits I brought with me and that are on these grounds, the gods and goddesses, and Rosannaâs lace dainties?â she said as she picked the light lace cheeky underwear on the bathroom floor, âLet me take my shower alone, please.â
~
Vincent sat out and cleaned up his room a little bit, chain-smoking as he wasnât sure what was going to happen when the girl got out of the bathroom. Leda didnât really understand how she felt the way she did, and why she wasnât angry at Ro. Why was it a little more interesting to know she was still going to Cyr to get her rocks off? She opened the door to Vincentâs surprise, not wearing anything else but her t-shirt bra and a dainty lace thong. Her hair falling over her curves just right, and he couldnât help but follow her with his eyes. She had grown up into her shape more, maybe not as much colour on her still plush soft skin, but thereâs now tattoos and her hair is as vibrant a colour can be when he met her. She smiled at him, even though she wasnât smiling on the inside, and she straddled his waist on his bed. She lured him into a kiss and an energy boost heâd missed from her- the world felt more at balance and it made sense with their lips pushed together. âI missed you..so much..â he breathed, unable to hold back his overwhelming comfort.
âYour car broke down and I left it on the side of the road in Oregon..I sold the drugs out the trunk and ran into some ex...problems,â Leda started, âDid some cat and mouse and travelling and yeah..I..I missed you, too Vincent~âÂ
âThatâs fine...but..whyâd you leave in the first place?â Vincent asked laying back as she worked on kissing his neck and grinding. The girl stopped and avoided his eyes, âLeda...Leda baby you can tell me..Iâve been waiting about a year to know...â he reassured her as he leaned up to embrace her and kiss her shoulder.
âI-....I..He said he was gonna find me, and the stick had a plus on it and I was gonna show you when we got home, but even I didnât wanna go home so...â she stiffened as she explained, moving her fringe out of her face, shrugging.
âYou were pregnant?â he asked, eyes immediately darting down, âDid you lose it?â
âI...I just didnât want you to get upset and I didnât want him to find me if I-â
âOk Ok...I donât care about that..What happened to the baby, Leda?â he asked her pulling her in and rubbing her back.
âI lost her...â her voice broke, âI canât have kids...heâll find me. He did this to me...â
âHey, hey, hey...Hey, look at me, Leeds. Alright?..Iâm not mad about the car..Iâm not mad that you had to handle things with your ex..and Iâm not mad about the baby...â Vincent said, âI just wanted to know if you were ok..And that I wasnât holding your stuff and you didnât need it anymore..â
Leda couldnât help her tears and was so glad she had a fresh naked face to let herself cry in. âI-I-Itâs not that I didnât want her, I just..she didn- I dunno what happened...â she tried to say while she cried.
âItâs alright, babe..Donât worry. Sheâll come when sheâs ready, okay? And when she does I have no doubt sheâll be as beautiful, smart, and creative as her wonderful mother,â Vincent said, rubbing her back some more, âListen, next time you get knocked up, Iâll take care of you...Iâll make sure nothing happens to you...Iâll keep you safe.â
âVincent~ you canât..no one can..heâs always gonna find me,â Leda whined, shaking her head quickly, âHeâll kill you.â
âNot if I kill him first and even then, Iâm giving all of this to you. You deserve not to worry. You deserve safety, babe,â he said, âIs that why you were at my apartment?â
âYes, but you donât live there anymore-â
âIâm subleasing until I graduate from here...or I get tired of these people finally,â he chided.
âAnd how long do you think thatâs going to last?..Especially if itâs you and Ro..â she started chuckling lightly.
âI donât think itâs gonna be me and Ro for much longer, anyway,â he sighs, letting the girl off his lap and onto his bed as he got up to start turning the lights down and closing off his room from his office, âDonât get me wrong- itâs exciting! It really is, but she shouldnât be doing that. Sheâs...gonna need that wakeup call.â
Leda sat and waited for him and lit one of his cigs from the box on the nightstand even though he opted for the little glass tube, âWhat do you mean?â
âSheâs still careless, sheâs playing with fire...She didnât want everybody to know but sheâs had-like- two scares...Sheâs gonna tell you when she finds out that youâre back,â he said, hushing his voice like she was in his office. Leda was shocked to say the least, but she liked Vincent for that: he held onto the only side of her she was never proud of.
âLike...pregnancy scares-â
âNo STI- yes pregnancy scares! Told me that she didnât want to get rid of the kid but didnât want to think of losing the life she was building with Mark and wanted all of the kids she had to be in their happily ever after or whatever shit...you know Rosie..â Vincent snapped, clearly still emotional and indignant, smoking more frequently as he stress-cleaned his room. Leda was stunned. It wasnât exactly something she expected from someone who craved so much stability and control- safety.Â
âHow...â
âShe disappeared. Like three times, She told everyone she went to visit family. I saw her and she stayed with me for like..a few days..and we just hung out how she wanted us to. She never left because nobody could know that she was back yet. So when she did return it was like she picked up Cookie from the sitter on her way home from the airport...I liked it, but..when she told me all of that over those days and she told me about being President and how she would eventually hate me enough to overthrow me and then sheâll have her life with Mark and Iâll leave the Youni...â
âSo then...whenâs the last time you saw Ro?â Leda asked, frightened slightly by what she heard. And part of her wanted to fight her. It wasnât much of her business but as a friend and as a human thatâs not something she should get away with.Â
âYou didnât see her going to the Vice Presidentâs suite?..Or the girlsâ side? Kitchen?...Cus she literally just left when you had knocked on my door,â Vincent paused and stared at her with a squint.
âNope,â Leda admitted shaking her head and threw her hands up, âHonestly I didnât really get here until I told you I lost the baby and by then I kinda knew that I could let it go I guess..because now I feel fine..â
âWeird...I had a weird feeling the whole time she was here that someone was coming..I didnât think they were alive so I didnât think anything of it...This is all..you know, Indigenous grounds, not necessarily burial, but sacred space tends to pop up when theyâre talking...â
âThatâs weird...but highly likely..Western U.S. does have some crazy energy pockets,â Leda said, blushing a little that he knew she was coming, âAre they leftover or residual? The panties, I mean..â She giggled.
âI couldnât tell ya, but Iâd have to guess that she left those in my bathroom because it was very apparent she wasnât wearing any, but I thought she had come over commando..Didnât think she committed to the idea while she was in the bathroom. I guess thatâs what sheâs gonna wait for me to say something about. Canât lie, Iâm gonna miss how smart she is,â he said with a smile and waves of realization of what he liked about the girl after not knowing for so long.
âClearly not smart enough,â Leda scoffed, âIf sheâs pulling the âI had to go to my motherâs for a summer so I can have an abortion and therapyâ this early in the relationship and theyâre still going strong, maybe itâs that youâre not gonna judge her and she can kinda reward herself with you and vice versa- definitely a karmic soulmate...â She smiled again as she realized that they might be a particular soulmate or at least spiritual partner. âVincent, sit down, please,â she asked sweetly. He sat back down and she rubbed his shoulders, sighing, âIâm sorry, Vince...Like thatâs really shitty and Iâm..so..sorry, babe..but like thatâs what happens when you gamble.â
âIt would help if youâd taken responsibility for running out on me fucking months ago,â Vincent bit at her, âMaybe I wouldnât have leaned on her so much...chasing fucking waterfalls,â he scoffed.
âWow youâre really gonna sit here and blame me?â she backed up, raising her voice.
âNo! I said take some fucking responsibility! Like do you understand how youâre no better sometimes?â he said.
âOh my- FUCK YOU! Who the fuck are you?!â Leda snapped, shoving his shoulder and getting up.
âWill you keep your voice down?!â he whispered quickly standing up and taking her arm in his hand gently.
âDonât fucking touch me!-â
âOr what?! Youâll scream? Roâs gonna come rushing back in here to check on me to find what? Us fucking fighting about her and as far as she knows you dropped out of school,â Vincent breathed, âNo one..and I mean no one..knows about any of that.-â
âWHy are you still trying to defend her?!â she growled as she fights him.
âSame reason I defend you, but not the same because youâre not about to marry some meathead to forget your slutty phase,â he mentioned and the girl released her grip, âAlso again with the dick jealousy and arousal over your friend and you screwing me.â
âStop saying that! Itâs not fucking true!â she snapped at him.
âIâve been talking to college girls for a long time. This is the most bisexual thing two straight girls can do is fuck the same guy and give the guy shit for getting off on the fact that at least one of you wants to fuck their lunchbox friend...and right now, youâre the mad at the Snowflake Queen, Needy.â
Leda stopped and looked at him, âDid you really just use that reference?âÂ
âItâs true. No matter the reference. Iâve told you that before-â
âYou didnât-â
âYes I did, you just forgot because we were having fun...you know..dating,â Vincent lit his cig, handing it to her, âMy whole thing is I wanted you to have fun without living in Rosieâs shadow.â
âDonât do that,â she said, smoking quickly going back to the bed before he takes her hand and twirls her and dips her.
âWhat?â he said.
âDonât call her Rosie,â she said, blushing hard.
âWhy? Cus youâd call her Rosie?â he asked, shotgunning a hit with her.
âStop saying I wanna fuck Ro, cus I donât,â she giggled.
âYouâd watch me fuck her though,â he inserted, putting the butt in the ashtray as he pulled her in, âOr vice versa.â
âShe said she would?â she asked, furrowing her brows.
âNeedy, when I say sheâs never been worried about you when sheâs with me, sheâs not. I donât push her, either. Like I think about you if she says or does something that reminds me of you but other than that sheâs in her own little world with me,â Vincent said, caressing the girl, looking away to think.Â
âStop calling me Needy, I clearly look like Megan Fox,â she said, meaning to put herself down.
âNo, youâre Needy at the end of the movie after sheâs been affected by Jennifer,â he explained, âYou were simping and running and screaming while getting teased the whole movie then at the end, even though you kinda lost your guy, youâll get more..and itâs kinda because she took what was meant for you..even if it killed her..â
âWow..Vincent..did you just say you loved me even if it kills Ro?â Leda asked, smirking wildly.
âYeah I guess so.â

Bastards of the Perfect|| Persephone and Isla
 @ledabunnie-rp @danhowell-rp
âMom?! What are talking about?â Isla said when her mother walked by with bags.
âDonât ask me that! You know we have to go! When itâs time to go, itâs time to go. Your father gets it. I dunno how many times I have to tell you this-â
âI DONâT WANNA GO!â
âYou WHAT?â
âMommy, come here. Stop this. I donât wanna leave again. I like living with my dad as a family. Why do have to leave?â
âYou know why, Isla! Why are you being so difficult? I thought you like going on trips with mommy-â
âNO! I hate it just as much as I like it. You donât plan them. You just pack our bags and we go. Weâve lived on the street. Daddyâs paid for hotel after hotel- and you still wanna live in these cheap motel-â
âBecause heâll find us-â
âWHO MOM?! Who the fuck are you running from? Dad told me that heâs dead. Like really dead. Like took me to his grave dead. Like we donât have to run anymore dead.â
âWatch your mouth. Pack your bags...I need to know youâre safe..â
âIâm safe right here with Daddy and in this loft with you! Iâm not going!â
âIsla Artemis Muir-Cyr...you know what?! Fuck it! You donât wanna leave? Fine! I just better see you here when I get back! All Iâve ever done is keep you safe! All Iâve done is show you love and protect you and this is what you do?!â
âLeda, donât try to guilt-trip me when youâre the one who refuses to go to therapy for your PTSD. Iâm tired of this-â
âWhat the fuck? Isla!â Cyr called from the living room as he walked into the house, âWhatâs going on?âÂ
â*gasp* Vincent...Finally, heâll talk some sense into you-â
âTALK SOME SENSE INTO ME?! Fuck you!â she blurted, getting her backpack and stuffing some clothes and putting on some clothes and storming into the living room into her father.
âHey, hey. Honey bunch, whatâs wr- woahh woah! Whereâs the fire? Hey! Stop! Talk to me!â Cyr said as he grabbed her but spun them around gripped her harder and gave her a small shake to get her into the moment.
âMom wants to leave again and I just canât do it again. Especially since itâs for no reason,â Isla began, still huffing, âIâm not a kid anymore. Why does she do this? Why doesnât she get treatment? Why do you let her go? Donât you love her? Why wonât you make her stay?! Dad, she fucks people to get a place to sleep! She gambles, she steals! Moms arenât supposed to do those things! Iâm not supposed to see those things!â
âIsla...come here. Itâs not her fault. That guy whose grave I took you to, right? He did a lot of fucked-up things to her and itâs hard for her to come to terms with all of it. You donât have to go, itâs okay. She did protect you, and she took care of you as best she could. She loves you and she loves the company. Look. Donât go anywhere. Iâll see if I can talk to her out of this episode.â The lanky man embraced his daughter, rubbing her back and kissing her cheek and forehead as he walked back into what is their bedroom.Â
Isla sat and waited for a few minutes through the screams and yells back and forth. The usual thrashing and breaking of items in their room because Ledaâs manic energy was so high. Then it died down a little and she heard little cries of her mother supposedly accepting that itâs over and that itâs ok. The walls in this loft are even walls. Theyâre like paper partitions with soundproofing and heavy curtains. She soon heard her mother, she heard the bed, and slapping noises and her fatherâs name...well letâs just say her parents are making up. Gross. She got up, wrote a note on the fridge and took something to drink and a snack before she grabbed her dadâs keys and left.Â
----------------------------------------------------
Persephone/Persi had been at home and once again she was grounded. Go figure. She packed a bag because she knew she needed more time and space away from her family. Theyâd understand even though they donât understand her as a person. Eh, maybe one day. Right now, sheâs going to make the most of her 17 years of life so far and her underlying mental illness. She took her stash out and the prepaid card her grandparents loaded for her and used Danâs ZipCar account to drive from Vegas to LA.Â
She looked around to see where the other kids a little older than her were doing and she settled on the Santa Monica Pier. She walked the boardwalk and scored some weed and cigarettes from the other kids because she looked like them. She was having fun and drinking a little until she felt like she was no longer the kid with two gay parents and a twerp for a little gay brother with a hard-on for their oldest cousin.Â
She was flying on the beach at the bonfire with everyone having fun. Her new friends were being awfully cool and they were just sharing weed and stories and bottles of various alcohols that she could get her hands on. Tonight it felt like her last night being in high school, her last night being this young. She wondered what would come of this experience until they said that they were going to the Sunken City.
-------------------------------------------------
The red haired girl offered to let her catch a ride to the Sunken City with her for no charge. The car felt and smelled like a rental. They shared cigarettes on the drive up and some stories about their lives. The brown haired girl felt something different about the girl driving, it didnât feel creepy and it didnât feel like they should be friends, either. She had feelings for a girl she just met and was giving her a free Uber to this location on a school night and they were both floating Â
âWhere do you go to school?â Persephone asked, âJust like location and if you like it. I hate schoolâ
âUhh..oh,uhh I got to someplace in the valley. Real casual shit. I hate everyone there and I hate school in general because I donât like how they teach itâs so lazy and not personal to what I wanna do when I leave. Especially when I was in and out of school for as fucking long as I was-â
âYou too?! Fuck Iâve transferred outta like 5 schools across 2 countries for fighting.â
âWoah..I just donât be at school. Iâm most of the time on the road, but it sounds way more badass to move schools for fighting..What happened?â
âNo, no. You first, babe. I donât like talking about something that I canât explain myself...â Persi kept her eyes on the road.
Isla blushed at the endearment, and it that feeling wasnât going away. Strange. âMy mom is fucking trash. See? When she was a kid, she dated this guy and he was crazy and she got away from him and got kidnapped again so she got away from him again and then my dad said that she was there when one of her friends killed him for her when he found her again, but sheâs used to being on the move and on the road, which was fun when I was a kid, then my dad forced us to settle down and Iâve been living in LA and tonight she was trying to leave again..I couldnât listen to my parents fight and makeup again so I heard that some kids were going to hang out at the pier tonight and here I am.â
âWow..thatâs fucking deep. And gross. Youâve had to hear your parents fuck?â she asked, her American accent slipping, âI get that. My parents fight about what to do with me and my dad was quite the manâs man in their day so my pussy of a dad needs talking down because my momâs crazy. I was basically planned by her but not by my dad. Itâs mental. Like really, this apparently had to do with his mental and Daniel is so vetted about it but then again he went and fucked Bryonny and she had my baby brother..ugh..youâd think theyâd learn but nooo! They fuckin fight and so I fuckin fight bitch boys at school and birds who try me.â
âHow are you in school but youâre driving a rental? Donât you have to like..be older to drive these?â Isla asked, deflecting from the drama. She really didnât want to ruin a great night.
âI snuck out, got a hotel room with my money from my grands, and rented the car in Danâs name. I still got money for like four days, so Iâll go back when that money runs out or I feel like going home, but I just canât stand it,â Persi explained, âYou sound like youâre not trying to see the sunrise in your bedroom either.â
âDamn, how long have you been English? I thought you were-â
âMy mum is American. My dadâs from Northern England, Danâs from like London, I think? And Bryonnyâs from Brighton. I have dual citizenship. Hence, being kicked out of primary and secondary school as well as elementary and middle schools around here. I didnât want to do Sixth Form. So I came to high school in the states. I live in Vegas,â Persi explained, âI hid my accent as best I could because..I didnât want all the hard-ons and wet panties simply off of my accent. Itâs so northern and rough and mixed up. I donât see how anyone would like it, and it slips...â
âI like your accent..â Isla says, a little quieter, not intending to stare at the girl so long, but she smiled when she saw the girl smile a little.Â
They parked a little further up on the beach and followed the crowd to the water. Both Isla and Persephone stripped to their underwear and splashed in the moonlight. They settled as they lit the bonfire and broke out the entertainment of sparklers, weed, and little games of touch football. Persi had gone to use the bathroom and left Isla for a few minutes, claiming that she could hold her own. While the redhead was coming back from the port-a-potties, she spotted her new friend being shuffled off and accosted by some chad and she didnât know what came over her.Â
âYo!â Persi called as she saw the girl trying to fight the man off from touching her. When nothing happened she started running and felt herself slipping away even though she had been drinking. On the way she grabbed an empty bottle out of the trash and came crashing into the two, bashing the big bottle against his head and yanking him back, throwing him to the sand and stomped on his head. âStay away from her, you fucking creep!â she yelled and then realized she had knocked him clean out. It was a fairly large guy, and Isla was stunned. She hadnât really been in too many situations like this, which is something she can be thankful her mom did, but it was so unlike her to not react to something she felt was coming out of her control. When Persi came up, Isla looked at the girl and their panting matched. Persi couldnât see the girl, but the girl who stood in front of her liked what she saw.Â
âI know this is creepy as fuck but you look kinda cute when youâre scared,â she said with an unwavering English accent, âPersi tell you about me?â
Isla was so confused a little scared, âUhh I donât even know her name...and thanks?âÂ
âAh, sheâs bad at that sometimes. Iâm- well weâre Persephone. I like being called Persephone. Ya know, like the greek person. The one that made a deal with Hades to save her boyfriend and he straight left her and she ended up fucking Hades anyway. That one,â Persephone said, putting her hands in her pockets and flipping her hair over one shoulder, âShe usually goes by Persi, like Percy Jackson, like the books? Itâs nutted, anyway. I think she likes Greek Mythology or gender-neutral naming, but eh..Either way itâs nice to meet you sweetie.â
Isla was shocked, but she wasnât too concerned. She had a mother who would just phase out, and she remembers her talking about a guy she went to school with who had a condition like this. Her father backed this up, so itâs gotta be true. She liked how the shift in her accent and her hair placement presented a completely different girl, who she had a harder crush on. Her legs rubbed together and she bit her lip, trying not to smile to big, âUhmm..Iâm Isla..Not Lila, Isla...Like Isla Fisher, like that crazy red-he-oh...sorry.â The girl blushed so hard and played with the dirt with her shoes.
âNone taken, cutie! Isla is such a cute name. And yes I know she was the girl Shaggy liked in Scooby Doo, and yeah the crazy chick from Wedding Crashers. Gingers donât get a good wrap, but it is true weâre amazing in the sack,â Persephone explained, smiling and giggling watching the other girl trying not to meet her gaze. She knew she was fighting with herself, but Persephone was willing to play ball, âSo..you wanna get outta here? I think theyâre bouta go home or something. Iâve already smuggled enough hooch, grass, and drugs that we can hit up a hotel now.â
âCan we go to a Wal-Mart, first? I wanna pick up some provisions,â Isla explained, âIs there a pool or a spa at the hotel?â
âYeah I think so. Itâs a homestay suite, so I guess Iâm gonna cook for the next few days,â Persephone said, pulling the car keys out of her pocket and walking towards the car.
Isla was now very concerned, âWait, cook for us? Thatâs romantic, and efficient...how..how old are you?â
âWeâre 17. We turn 18 in a few months. I didnât think it woulda mattered cus you look as old as me. Also I think I have some clothes that might fit you, we look about the same size, as cute as your outfit is, those desert nights arenât kind,â she said, unlocking the car and opening the door for the girl. She takes some time to get her duffle bag out of the back and brought it to the back seat, pulling out a large heavy hoodie she had from Reiner- which is funny he hadnât asked for it back yet after their rather interesting night on their field trip- and tossed it to the girl. She pulled about $100 and handed it to Isla to put it to the side for gas.Â
âWow..youâre so organized..Have..have you done this before?â she asked, putting on the hoodie and smelled it, catching the tones of cologne and sweat and her body spray and deodorant. It made her melt into the passenger seat, but she wondered whoâs cologne she smelled in the fabric of this comfy garment.
âEh, sorta..Iâve thought about putting this little getaway together for about 6 months. Youâre a nice add-on. Iâm gonna go back after about 4 or 5 days, because..I just felt so trapped and I needed space to calm down. My parents are usually too busy with work and their own infidelity to give me time and attention like I should get, especially with..ya know..this..â she said, getting in the car and starting it, pulling out, âWhere am I dropping you off when this is over, babe?â
Islaâs chest had a resounding bang again and she looked at Persephone. Why does she like this? She doesnât even know if she likes girls. The GPS on the screen and the soft music in the background gave her time to think. She looked at her phone and saw a few missed calls from her dad then a simple message telling her to be safe and be careful, and that they love her. She swiped away the notifications and opened her phone, playing some game to take her mind off of abandoning her parents. She didnât feel like a bad kid, she just felt like her mother steals her spotlight. This sweatshirt around her made her think of all the casual relationships she had on the road and how if they would have lasted, maybe she wouldnât be so unfamiliar to love. Maybe she wouldnât be so hesitant with her feelings for the girl driving them to a getaway. Even when the guy was simply a jerk, it felt like it was her fault. Watching her parents were no help either. It caused her to panic that she possibly didnât know how to love or what good love looked like. She was a broken girl and never fit in anywhere. She blanked out when that guy grabbed her, her body barely fought him when his hand snaked up her torso while he pressed together. Coming to and seeing the ginger girl beating him down was so relieving. Sheâd usually come back and sheâd be sore, emotionless, and alone. There, she wasnât alone. The same girl who gave her a ride had saved her from something she didnât know about. Her own mother had the same problem and couldnât explain. Why canât she fight? Isla now felt like she owed Persi. However, sheâs not making it seem that way. She hasnât even asked for any money; if anything, she gave her cash. What kinda rich kid reject is she, anyway? âYou said your parents are gay, right?â she asked, looking at her, âThatâs still a new thing.â
âYeah, gay. Two different surrogate mothers, AAND English immigrants. Well, Iâm actually American. My brother isnât. I was born in the States and my brotherâs mum had her across the pond in Camden. My dad and Dan went to school in Montana, then they wanted two places for us to live-â
âWait you said Montana?!â Isla jumped up, leaning over the center console âAs in the high school and college in the Montana mountains, Montana?â
âYeah..for YouTubers,â Persi looked at the girl while they stopped at a red light, a little wide-eyed and very surprised that she met someone who knew what she was talking about, âWait..â
âMy parents are Vincent Cyr and Leda Muir...who in the hell are your parents?â she asked, tilting her head.
âDan Howell and Phil Lester-â
âyOUR pARENTS...Wait wait wait...Hang on. You share biological DNA with Amazing Phil? The Amazing Phil?! Who the fuck is your mom?â
âCat Valdez...â
âCatrific?! Wow..youâre the heiress of YouTube royalty!â
âAnd youâre the heiress of YouTube controversy...As am I...So that means-â
âThat we both have a base level of a fucked up family. Iâve heard stories about Phan being super toxic and so crazy!â
âSame..I remember when..uh..Cameron? Right? He stormed the campus and someone fucking took him out. It was amazing. Everybody thinks it fucked her up more-â
âIt did. It really did. Sheâs still in denial.â
âShe still move around a lot? They used to tell me that they never knew when she was on campus because she would run-â
âUhh well, when my dad got her pregnant with me she was still running around and then around the time when she had me my parents lived together in the valley in a loft- we still live there now, but my mom would still leave and for a few years and sometimes Iâd stay with my grandparents and sometimes I went with her until my dad put his foot down and I said I didnât wanna move around anymore. So Iâve lived in Carmel Valley for the past 7 years going to school and shit, then tonight happened. My mom just snapped and told me to pack because weâre leaving. I didnât wanna leave and we fought and I left.â
â..So, fuck Iâm sorry, Iâm Persi, by the way I forgot to introduc-â
âPersephone filled me in already. You have the same personality disorder your dad did...My mom told me about it before. Phil didnât use to be the best guy in the world and Dan is dumb enough to be with him this whole time,â Isla said, not moving from the center console as they started on the road again, âNo offense but I didnât know they had kids in the mix.â
âI was a wedding gift, my mom says..then again my mum turned out to be a real psycho when it came to my dad. So yeah, like Persephone graciously explained, my dad does have the same thing, but it went away once he got my mum preggos. She told me his name was Zack. And it will usually tell you how they want to be addressed, but she usually doesnât talk when sheâs around...she just screams and causes havoc which leaves me in trouble..â Persi explained, âMy baby brother only came around because Dan was being petty and got Bryonny knocked up. However, itâs way sweeter of a time being around her than Dan or my mom.â
âOh, then the holidays must suck for you, huh,â Isla commented, âMy parents were young and dumb and my mom had this crazy delusion that she couldnât have kids because of what Cameron did to her or something..When in all reality her reproductive system had healed enough for me to be born. My dad tells me all of the time how she would freak out and stop taking care of herself because she was âscared to death of having to stay in one place in case he found her.â And Iâm just like-â
It just sounds like a fucked up way of saying they couldnât get rid of me.
Persi and Isla had arrived at the store and looked at each other when they had said the sentence, they had looked away into their respective windows, but quickly turned heads to see they felt the same way. They were mistakes. Tactfully set upon this earth to make things worse for their parents regardless of their feelings. They didnât feel like they belonged, and at the end of the day they didnât even have the loving comfort of their parents. Just themselves.Â
âLetâs hurry up and get what we need so we can get to this room,â Persi said quickly, backing off and getting out of the car.Â
Isla was still frozen. She felt so much at once from once sentence than she ever had with anyone else. Someone who understood. Someone she could stay close to and trust because they were all they had. It made the pang in her chest take her breath away and she sat staring into the center console until Persi jolted her out of it with a hand on her shoulder, âEarth to Isla...Come on!â She hurried along, holding the girlâs hand. They were around the same height, Persi maybe a little taller. She wasnât sure that the ginger even noticed that they had linked until they walked into the automatic doors and saw that she meant to do it, âUhh, why are you holding my hand?â
âBecause this is like the second time youâve just spaced out on me. I canât afford to bring you back to your family if I lose you. Also, remember I am somebodyâs older sister, so habit I guess?â she said quickly, then let go but walked close to the girl.
Isla looked ahead again and blushed, snaking her hand into Persiâs again, and feeling a squeeze.Â
âDid you wanna ride in the cart?â Persi asked with a playful smile, âIt is weird Wal-Mart hours, so nobodyâs gonna care.â
âActually, I donât think we need that much stuff, letâs go for the scooter!â she jumped up and ran to the station, unattached one and hit the horn for Persi to hop on.Â
âUh-uh, you sit in my lap and steer!â she blurted, pushing her and fixing it as they traversed the store.
They fooled around and had their fun, grabbing their essentials and some supplies for the room so they can eat and live from the suite for at least the first two days. The staff at the store gave them weird looks and didnât say much, but told them to make sure to put the scooter back when they were done and let them know if it ran out of battery. They didnât spend too long in the store and bought (almost) everything and left.
They finally pulled into the suite and went to the front desk where Persi gave the receptionist Danâs name and remembered the hotel had his card on file from previous travel. This was a bonus. She could stay out longer on her parentsâ dime. Only thing is that he would see that she went here and stayed so heâd be tempted to track her down. She sneaks out enough they know sheâs coming back.Â
Once inside, she was pretty impressed with how homey the suite was, complete with all the works and one sofa bed and a large California king sized bed in the other room. Fits because her Dadsâ are both 6 feet tall and over. âFun fact: I almost never travel with my parents unless itâs the mandatory trips to see my grands. When theyâre on tour they donât even fly us out to a certain cluster of cities to watch them work. Given, it is a lot to fly your family around and worry about our safety and shit, but whatever,â Persi said as she put everything down and started to unpack.
âWow..Iâve never been in a hotel room this nice,â Isla said, doing laps around the suite and checking everything out. She could hear what the girl was saying and felt for her. Even though she wanted to stay and have a more stable life like hers, but she could get used to these trips. She caught herself thinking about seeing her again and planning how their about to spend their summers and maybe even do more getaways with just them. She would love the air and the space- well the individualized attention. She remembered and thought of the first times she would run away with her mom and how this would feel. It feels more like the times they would all go as a family, instead of just her mother. Mostly because of how much fun she was having with the both of them and no tension of the constant worry of someone going to find them or even her momâs manic energy. Those are the moments where her parentâs love doesnât bother her and it feels like the love that she was made from.Â
âYou want the soup first or do you want the spaghetti? Or do you wanna just pop one of these pizzas in the oven?â Persi called to the girl, where she had heard her loading up the dressers but didnât know what she was doing. She waited and still didnât hear anything, deciding to put the cheese pizza in the oven and started sifting thru the drinks they put in the refrigerator, cracking open a fresh bottle of whiskey and grabbed the cola and a glass with some ice, making the drink and sitting over in the common area to set up her PlayStation so that she can watch TV.Â
Isla strolled out of the bedroom, wearing some clothes that Persi recognized from her own duffle bag. She looked at Persi setting up the television on the couch and sat with her, taking a sip of her drink, âMmmh! What is this?â
âJack and Coke. Iâm sorry if I drink a bit, Iâm used to being able to drink in the UK, and I know the age to drink is 21 over here.â
âWait, seriously? You can drink at 17 there?â
âYeah in some places they let you at 16. But 17-18 is the age where you develop a drinking problem around there. Especially if you look like youâre old enough they donât even card you-â
âOh my god,â she gasped, curling up and crossing her legs on the couch, âThatâs absolutely insane to me.â
âWell tonight weâre gonna drink like English sailors, love,â Persi said as she took the glass from the girl and sipped it again. She looked at the girl who was staring at her lips while she drank and took down the glass, âWhatâs your type?â
Isla blushed faster than the alcohol allowed her, âMy what?!â she sputtered and before she could try to blubber her way out of the question, her face had a finger in front of it.
âIâm out, hold that thought and follow me into the kitchen, Iâll make you one of these too,â Persi interrupted, getting up and taking the girlâs hand with the glass in the other and then continued, âI donât mean to be that gal, but youâve been giving me stares all night and your face loses colour every time I called you out of your name out of respect for not knowing it. So is it your first time liking a girl or is it just unprecedented?â
âUhh well when you put it that way, unprecedented, I guess,â Isla shrugged, âI think I just had stronger feelings cus Iâm like plastered and here I am still drinking,â she giggled.
âItâs called a nightcap, but Iâll put Baileyâs in yours instead Coke, but if you want a smoother drink, remember creme is key so you can use vanilla flavours and coffee flavours. It softens alchy burn but keeps the potency, even masking it,â Persi said, dropping cubes into another glass and starting on the other girlâs glass, âAlso the caffeine in Baileyâs or Kahlua liqueurs will help you sleep and regulate dehydration when you get up, staying off a monstrous hangover.â
âWow I never thought about how drinks work because I usually am just grabbing what I can. It sounds like youâve like sat down and thought about it,â Isla said, relaxing a little and taking the drink when it was complete, sipping it lightly and loving the taste, but tried to focus on the topic at hand, âWhyâd you ask me about my sexuality?â
âConversation mostly, but honestly Iâm bi and I donât want you to be uncomfortable and I can give you the option of sleeping on the bed bed, and I just pass out on the sofa,â Persi said leaning against the counter, making light gestures, âI know I like took you along with me on this adventure, but from what I saw, Iâd just want to make sure you know Iâm not some creep or something.â
âUhh oh wow..I donât mind! T-The bed looks big enough for the both of us to sleep comfortably. I like how...old fashioned you are, and youâre not afraid to share your wealth. I think thatâs really cool, but I think I had never heard of someone in our day and age doing stuff like this. And- Iâm just realizing that you have freckles on your cheeks. Thatâs really cute oh my god Iâm sorry Iâm so distracted. And itâs not your fault I think I might have had too much-â Islaâs rambling was halted by Persephoneâs lips
------------------------------------------------------
After their first night of kisses and cuddles, games, and Isla actually getting too drunk and throwing up most of her pizza, they woke holding one another on the gigantic bed, the TV blaring in the background. Persi stretched pulling her hair back with a hair tie and felt something hug her torso tighter. She looked down and saw the brunette, smiled and started to slide out of her grip.Â
Isla stirred, feeling a little lost, but watched the girl walk into the bathroom. She was so confused. What happened last night? Where was she? Why was this feeling like she went along with her mother anyway? But it wasnât? She sat up in the comfortable bed and saw how ornate the room was and could hear that the room didnât just end in those walls. She was so hungover. The sun was being blocked by the curtains, which helped her sensitivity to light. The girl in the bathroom was still foreign to her, but familiar as she looked through their social media. Clearly, she and the girl had hit it off. Thatâs a relief. She had seen her phone was fully charged, meaning that she had blacked out well before the other girl, who had been smart enough to charge it for her. She usually doesnât use her phone or post when on the run just because her mother taught her about vigilance and stopping to look down at her phone means youâre giving someone an opportunity to sneak up on you and take your shit. Also, the mother feared the man who was no longer after her, meaning she had to reduce her presence in the one area where he could track her down or use a lot of sourcing to track her location. Her father, bless his heart, allowed her to have a phone. On her birthday a few years ago, the man had hidden the device in her suitcase, and left her some money for a case and a note informing her not to let her mother know he had given it to her, to take a picture of the case she chose, and send it to him. It allowed her and him to remain connected to his not-so-little girl anymore.
------------------------------------------------------------
Cyr had seen her posts that night and smiled: she was having fun. Leda was still an entire mess that her little girl wasnât home. She had barely remembered her (almost) husband had given their daughter a cellphone until she remembered seeing the girl use it once before, she took a picture of the motel they were staying at. The girl rose from the bed and walked into the large room and was greeted by Cyr playing a video game. She didnât really want to bother him but she had to make sure. âVincent,â her voice was unable to reverberate through the loft, but the man looked up and paused the game.
âYes honey bear, whatâs up? You hungry or something? Do I gotta turn down the TV?â he started, pulling his headphones all the way off. The woman cringed at how much he still guesses what she wants and is right about 85% of the time.
âN-no...Vincent, do you know where Isla is?â she asked, staring at him carefully because the man she loved had a way with lying, it was almost pathological and giving him this look usually worked.
âMaybe I do...maybe I donât. All I know is that sheâs a smart girl, she can handle herself. Sheâll be back. She wouldnât leave us forever like that,â he explained carefully folding his hands and then spreading them, palms up. Heâs not lying, heâs gas lighting. She felt her body heat up, rage building from his dismissal. She was Islaâs parent, too, goddammit, she had a right to know! He knew exactly where she was and he wasnât going to tell her that easily.
âI remember seeing her with a phone. Donât fucking talk to me like a fucking mental patient, Vincent! You went behind my back and gave her a phone, didnât you?! She never had any money for her own and I barely had one so I know it had to be you. Where is our daughter?!â Leda asking more seriously, her cheeks going pink. Cyr was cornered, he had to let her baby she never knew she could have was alright. The man motioned the woman over and pulled her daughterâs Instagram and showed her story and all posts since the account was created. âThe-These...These are so beautiful,â she referenced the pictures and cracked a warm smile at her daughterâs story of her prancing through a Wal-Mart, the bonfire, and the girl. That girl looked so familiar. She recognised the bright orange hair and little freckles. âWhoâs phony.persi?â she asked towards the man, who shrugged.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Phil had gotten smart about his daughter running off over the years. He follows her on social media just in case they have cute father-daughter time or people donât believe that heâs her father. He went to her story and saw that she had been reposted in someone elseâs story by the name of earth-name-isla. He didnât want to pry, but he had a feeling about the girl that was pictured with his daughter was familiar. He got up and went to his husband, who would know which one of their ex-classmates this girl looked like. âHey babe..can you come here for a second?â he asked into his ear, running a hand down his arm.Â
âWhat?! Whatâs going on? You know where Persephone is?â the other asked quickly, whipping his head around and followed his husband back into the office.Â
âYes, but something is weird,â Phil said, handing him the phone and looked at the story and the pictures with her daughter and the mystery girl, âThe girl sheâs with...does she look familiar to you?â
Dan took a few moments and went through the girlâs profile and happened to find a little rare picture of a hard copy of a picture of Cyr and Leda when their daughter was a child and they had taken her to Universal Studios. He squinted a little so that he could see her parents and upon recognizing the girlâs father, his cheeks flushed. âOh my god...Phillip,â he gasped and quietly called for his husband, âLook at this! Look who her dad is!â
Phil looked on and raised his eyebrows at the man he hadnât seen in years, next to a girl he equally hadnât seen in a long time. The memories flooding back to their days at the Institute and few in the Youniversity and how their relationship- similar to their own- was akin to that of a firecracker. âHer mom is Leda Muir..And thatâs-â
âVincent Cyr- yes! I didnât know they had a daughter! And that sheâs...sheâs..! Making out with Persephone?! I c-canât! Babe, Iâm literally done! Bring her home. Right now. Where is she?!â Dan fussed and shoved the phone back into Philâs chest and he began to pace in the office.
âSheâs in LA. It must be where she lives,â he explained calmly, setting the device down on his desk.
âYo-you-you donât think that-â
âI doubt it. Thereâs no way that she would have known who she was.â
âYou hope,â Dan said, âHow did she even get all the way to LA from here?â
âPersi is a resourceful and smart girl. Iâm surprised sheâs not alone. When I find her, sheâs usually been by herself for a few days..Sheâll be back. Especially if she took a trip,â Phil said before hearing their son come up to the door to the office and saw their son looking a little worse for wear.Â
âOh my god! Elliot, baby, what happened?! Come here,â Dan shrieked, running to embrace his son and gave him excessive love, only to be pushed back and Dan could feel tears forming.
âOtosan, Iâm fine..really..Jareth and I-â
âJareth had something to do with this? Did he hit you?! Oh, I knew I should have sent Harlan to go-â
âOtosaan! Stop! Iâm fine. Harlan didnât need to be there. We fought them off ourselves. They were these huge sophomores and they almost broke his camera, and I jumped two of them and then he helped me out...We took out 4 of them dad! Iâm just like Persi!â the boy beamed as his fathers looked over his body, âWe ended up rolling down the hill and...I got dirty, but I hope you donât mind, I told Jareth he could clean up here..so..â
The men were so distraught to hear the words that came from his mouth. They looked at one another, sharing a soft chuckle at their fierce family. Phil pushed the boyâs hair back so he could check for anymore injury and seen all of the hickies on his skin, which he quickly let go of his hair and put a hand over his mouth and grabbing Dan, âYou should call Sean or Charlie, let them know where their kid is,â he says to him, âEllie, go ahead...is he staying for dinner?â When the boy nods, Dan gets up and returns to the kitchen to finish cooking.
âAwh, Otosan is cooking?!â Elliot whined, âWhy didnât you cook, Papa?!âÂ
âI was busy with locating your sister and meetings until the time for dinner, so I trusted Otosan with some fish and shrimp noodle dish. It cooks too fast so itâll work with his short attention span. Now...I know he can be dramatic, but can I inquire about those blotches on your neck?â Elliot had gotten nervous, âLook, I donât mind you growing up and dating, but I just need to know youâre safe, okay? I donât need you growing up too fast...Now go on, tend to your guest..And also, for next time: Ice seals up those bursted capillaries faster and prevents blood from staying in the dermis.â
------------------------------------------------------------------
âUgh..I donât think itâs working!â Isla whined, holding the paper towel full of ice to her neck while Persi hung out on the counter, who also was holding ice to her own body.
âYou kinda have to freeze that part of your skin,â Persi said, patiently holding ice to her own neck, âWhy are we doing this again? I donât really think itâs all that necessary.â
âBecause, I feel better and Iâm ready to go home and I donât wanna show up with hickies on my neck and an older girl that I found in the desert. My parents will flip. Theyâll think I purposely left for two days to go and party and be gay I guess. I wanna make a good first impression,â Isla said.
âIsla, I think Iâm the least of your worries. Your dad and my Dan used to fuck, so if they have to speak to each other after such a long time I think theyâll be more worried about that, or when they realize that my baby brother is definitely fucking that rugged bad boy loner he found in the woods.â
âEw,â Isla said, dropping the cloth and playing with it, listening to the ice clack, âYou have a point. I did this to show that Iâm growing up, but I guess if Iâm gonna go for it, I should commit.â
âAlso, youâre an only child, itâs not like you can avoid it. Iâm not an only child, so I can always point out what goes on with Ellie,â she mentioned, throwing her ice in the sink.
âYou call your brother Ellie?â
âShort for Elliot, duh,â she looks at her sitting on the counter when Isla touches her arm.
âYouâre so mean...â Isla cooed, trying to hide her smile.
âThat doesnât sound like you hate it,â she looked bit her lip and nudged closer, pulling her in for a kiss then pulled away quick, âBut for real? Like real shit? Only I can call him that. Heâs Elliot to you at all times. Got me?â
âYeah, I gotchu, babe,â she nods.
âGood!â
------------------------------------------------
*phone rings*
âBabe answer it!â Phil exclaims from downstairs.
âDo I have to do it?â
âYes! It might be our daughter and my hands are wet, just hurry up before it goes to voicemail!âÂ
âFine!â Dan goes to the phone in the studio and picks up the phone, âHello?â
âDaniel James Howell...As I live and fucking breathe,â Vincent laughed, sounding mature and relaxed with age, âUhh, so your daughter brought my daughter to me and I just...wanted to thank you for raising her so well..She is so sweet and generous.â
âAre you...wait..Cyr, you talking about my daughter? Persephone?â
âThatâs her whole name? She told me it was Persi. Thatâs a beautiful name-â
âEnough! Where are you? Where is she?!â Dan snapped, âAlso my last name is Howell-Lester nowadays. I havenât been just Howell in a while..â
âSheâs with Leda and I at my place in the valley. Carmel Valley. I can have her send you the address. The girls wanted to hang out, so we all thought we can take the time and catch up,â Vincent said a soft wind blowing into his phone, âUhh yeah I figured, but youâre still a howler nonetheless-â
âCyr Iâm fucking married!â he snapped.
âIâm kidding, kidding. You have a whole family and I just want to show you how our little girls are having so much fun together. Theyâre inseparable. So yes I called to invite you up here, but to also thank you because I havenât seen my little angel this happy in years. She made a real friend in her-â
âHmph donât speak so soon, sheâs a force. Sheâs only like that now from therapy and her father being here. I couldnât raise her on my own if I tried,â Dan replied, leaning against the desk.
âDaniel, is it her?â Phil asked in the doorway, causing Danâs body to heat up a little as though he had been engaging in something wrong, but they were just talking about being dads.
âYeah, itâs the girlâs father. Iâll put it on speaker,â he moved the phone from his face and pressed the button, âSay hi, Cyr.â
âCyr? As in, Vincent Cyr? I havenât heard that name in ages, how you been, sir?â Phil asks.
âIâve been well, Iâve been well. I was just thanking Dan here about your daughter bringing my Isla back in one piece and theyâre really good friends. Like itâs like she brought back a different girl. Sheâs so happy and they get along so well!â Vincent said, blowing smoke from his cigarette, âLeda and I are inviting you down to our place to come and get her, but why donât we all go out to lunch or something? My treat.â
âOh that sounds amazing! Iâd like that just tell Persi to send me the address and weâll be out tute-suite!â Phil beamed, looking at Dan with a playful smirk, which caused him to smile more comfortably.
âAlright, weâll see you then!â Vincent said before hanging up.
âOnly you Daniel. Only our daughter would seek out a girl who just so happens to be the spawn of your old flame,â Phil teased.
âShut the fuck up, Phillip! That was really fucked up for me~â Dan whined, âLike Iâm actually, literally sweating all over the fucking place!â
âOoh sexy,â Phil said, then heard the notification on his phone and looked at it, âOh wow we gotta buy these tickets...Elliot!â He exclaimed walking out of the room, âSweetie you wanna go to LA for a day? We gotta go get your sister!âÂ
-----------------------------------------------
Elliot was startled by his fatherâs raised voice and quirked an eyebrow, âWhy is she in LA?â
Jareth looks over at him and shakes his head, pointing at his bed and Elliot gives him a look, âMy sister would tear up a town if I went missing. I wanna see that sheâs safe...â The other boy sighed and shrugged, gathering his bag and putting on his shirt slowly, wincing quietly, causing Elliot rushed to him and helped him put his shirt on but gave him very pleading eyes, trying to bring the other boy closer to him and he didnât respond. He winced again when the boy was touched in an area where it hurt and he swiftly, yet gently, firmly grasped his boy and looked in his eyes, cupping his jaw. He laid a soft, long and deep kiss on his lips biting his lip a little as he pulled away as he struggled to get out the room through the window.Â
âElliot!â the voice came from behind him and caused him to whip around and he gasped, âDid you hear me?â
âY-Yeah..LA..we leaving soon?â he asked, his body tingling at the boyâs kiss.
âUh huh..Pack a bag for like a night just in case. You get to see who your parents grew up with.â
