it's been 4 years, I really hope she's going to come back but I doubt it, I hope she's okay and I kinda wish there were updates about her out there.

I feel like it's more likely that Youtube had some weird glitch that changed her name on there. That, or even a hack

I wonder if the name change on her channel is hinting at a comeback? Idk I’m just being hopeful. I miss her so much!

I had a dream last night about Leda which is weird because I haven’t looked at her stuff in a long time. Anyway she had some new tattoos and had been studying art/creative writing at college.

I almost never believe the “Leda has a baby!” story whenever she goes offline. Since she would always prove time and time again that she was just having mental health issues. However, I can kinda almost see it here? I mean it’s been like five years since she’s was online, and she’s in her 30’s now. I wouldn’t rule it out anymore.
Based on the time stamp of the comments, her child would be ~3 y/o

A while ago, I posted screenshots from her Instagram comments about a fan who spotted her with a child. Today, I received some additional insight that also claim that Leda became a mom and has focused her attention to raising her child! This very well could be the reason why she has stopped posting publically.

I think it’s really sweet that after all these years offline people are still leaving nice comments on her posts / videos. I hope Leda knows how influential she was to a lot of people growing up, i probably would not be the person I am today if not for Leda. She made me feel valid for dressing alternative, liking video games & nerdy things growing up as a girl I was made to feel weird for showing an interest in those things. Hope she is doing well & I respect her if she doesn’t come back because I know how hard the internet was on her. She never be deserved to be treated as poorly as she was by some people. She was a light in all the toxicity that YouTube was honestly.
I do hope she comes back one day but would understand if she didn’t 🩷

GUYS. I haven't thought about Leda in months. I used to be a huge fan of her. Last night I randomly had a dream she came back to the internet. Idk if it's a premonition but i'd love to see how she's doing!!

Noticed she recently changed her YouTube name to add Hailedabear. It’s not much, but it’s the first activity on her channel I’ve seen in years

Does anyone recommend leda’s books for someone who’s not the biggest reader? I recently finished the first A Court of Thorns and Roses book and moved onto the 2nd one since that series is quite popular and I enjoy fantasy, but I don’t really read too often aside from that. Does Leda do well with story telling? Is it easy to follow? I may just check out Mooncallers!
After reading the first book, I personally thought that the story is fine, but the book does read as though an inexperienced writer wrote it. It was somewhat difficult for me to follow what was happening unless I reread paragraphs over again. The beginning is a little rough, but towards the end it gets better.

I feel like Leda and I have similar personality traits. I also write, or used to write a lot. I’d write many books in a short period then stop for years at a time cause I got so overwhelmed with it all and generally bored. I flicked through different phases and interest constantly, so I don’t think she is staying away to write more. I also don’t think she will come back to her platforms frequently. It’s okay that us fans are worried about her. Despite what others may say. Everyone here is pretty respectful and honestly just curious about her wellbeing

Did you know her books are still available for purchase on Amazon. I actually found the first one in my house and wanted to see if they were still posted for sale and they are. I wanted her to finish the series and see how that went for her. I think she had some interesting ideas and it’s a bit sad she disappeared the way she did. Idk maybe she has serious writers block or something serious might have happened in her life that we don’t know about.

going off what the person said about Leda writing and losing track of time- I was wondering something similar. She mentioned in a live stream she was working on two other book trilogies and maybe she wanted to strictly focus on that. She also said she didn’t even plan to leave the internet permanently so who knows she could pop up again one day with several books.
In looking into what she’s said previously, in this archived Periscope stream, she mentioned that when she writes, she needs to stay in her world, so jumping back onto social media disrupts her. But at around 38:09 she then mentions that she didn’t really intend to be an author (professionally). During a period of time when she was confined to her house, she started to write her story to create friends, and then later published her writing because it frustrated her that her friends didn’t understand her story. “So literally the whole point to [publishing her book] is just so I can have other people to talk to about this with.”
Towards the end of the stream (2:11:00) she mentioned that she had made a video (that she intended to post but never did) that would have explained her desire to rebrand her YouTube content away from being about herself and more into her book series. She said that talking about random stuff when she was younger was easier, but now, talking about her life, clothes, hair, etc while having to be funny would feel exhausting and inauthentic.
Idk if it was in that periscope and I missed it, or in another one, but I thought I remember her also saying that fans shouldn’t expect her to always be present on social media since if you truly know her, you’d know she hates it.
I’m not trying to hold her to her word from a 2018 stream, but while it seems odd that she primarily published her work so that she could create a new fandom around it, only to disappear and never speak or add to it again, it seems like she worked on it heavily during a very mentally unstable time in her life. So if she has the stability that she’s always been searching for, along with her general dislike for the internet and her previous content on it, I can’t imagine her rushing to come back.

Kind of Leda related, but I think Alex is gone from the internet as well because she embarrassed her own self by being a carbon copy of Leda. She copied almost everything did and wore and it was so obvious. Once Leda disappeared she didn’t have anyone to base herself off of and she dipped out too would be my guess.
Since she had privated her accounts I’m not sure what’s been going on with her

I am just curious about how she has grown and matured over time. Before she left the internet again leda seemed a little more interesting to me as an adult than when I was a teenager and she had her online bubbly personality. I would be interested to hear about her out like on life now.

Apart of me wonders, as a visual artist myself if Leda got caught up in writing books and lost track of days; that can happen with artists sometimes & maybe she doesn’t know how to come back after writing for so long, it’s a slim possibility but hopefully she figures out how to make her comeback without feeling guilty of it or feel like it’s been to long to release anything lol
I wouldn’t be surprised if she’s written many series by now

With the state of the internet now, I don’t blame Leda for staying offline. But I still can’t help but have her cross my mind and miss her once in a while (like right now). Leda was/is a very bright person who always seemed to just wanna be a positive influence. And again given how toxic social media is now we need more people like that on here. Still, I can’t picture her as a 2024 style influencer, it doesn’t seem to fit her and the path she was on before leaving. I miss her, but I respect her decision to step back and hope she’s doing well
I always think what’s sad and funny is that back then, when we were younger, being a YouTube content creator seemed so simple. Whenever they complained that they weren’t able to make videos because a file got corrupted or lost audio, we thought that it couldn’t be that hard. Now, just to make a few second long tiktok/reels video takes so much work and worry. I can’t imagine her wanting to come back to this era of internet culture where everyone and anyone can be an influencer and is expected to constantly be putting out content for our ever-increasing consumption. Even if she did streaming, there’s so much toxicity in those circles as well.
