see heres the thing i dont even fw wesker like that but even i have to agree that re4r did him dirty. if not dirty then definitely just didnt think about much other than putting him in the game for fanservice.

for one, it is established all throughout the game that wesker and ada do not trust each other and both will gain something from this alliance. so why does wesker just Tell ada he’s gonna kill billions of people right off the bat? weskers a very subtle guy and doesnt seem like the type to do the ‘reveal my entire plan’ thing most villains do. hate to give him credit but if that was the case he wouldnt have lasted as long as he did.

secondly, i struggle to see why capcom did this in the first place? its like this: ada needs an arc moment to show to people shes not a bad person, so wesker dumps his plan of mass genocide or whatever to her, then she says that she will not give the plaga sample to him and the helicopter changes course. well, in re4r, wesker is ALREADY THERE in spain, and gets the plaga from krauser ANYWAY. to me it looks like he KNEW ada wasnt going to give him the virus so he had a backup plan, sure. but then why tell her in the first place? like thats just stupid and smth wesker wouldnt do.

i dont understand this as an arc moment for ada, too. just have her do it of her own accord. she doesnt need to hear wesker saying he’s gonna be responsible for billions of deaths to rethink giving this plaga to him.

and also, having wesker be IN SPAIN in the remake just never made sense to me. like just get the plaga yourself? you’re more than capable AND you’re literally IN THE PLACE where they keep it when he was somewhere else in the original game.

i also have smth about krauser and wesker but idk if i wanna go into that because i honestly still dont understand it

not to be annoying but i do think a lot of people mischaracterize falin. shes got the most drastic canon v fanon thing going on. which i guess makes sense bc 1. we dont see much of her and 2. lot of the fan stuff are anime-onlies that have seen even less

but i think like a good 90% of the time i see falin-centric art or posts im like hrm hrm hrm thats all wrong no nope no-siree

she's just a cool chick that takes life as it comes, doesn't hold grudges even against a mother that apparently was trying to beat the magic outta her, finds her older brother the coolest person in the world, and has autism about observing life (and death, she loves the ghosts she has a connection to) and nature and taking care of things (including taking care of her brother, which is why she's even in the dungeons; she saw her scrawny mess of a brother and decided she had to fix that).

and i think my favorite part that people don't talk about is... she would have done the same for marcille or laios if it were one of them that was eaten. you could see it in her eyes:

it's what shuro misunderstands about her. it's easy to see her feminine, cute, good girl pieces and forget the rest of her. but she loves things to an ends-of-the-earth extent; the kind of caring that makes you a little insane. and that's how I think she and laios end up on the same page with their weirdness. they have different interests, but they are the same level of committed to those interests.

it's easy to love her, because she probably loves you just as much, if not more.

As we are moving forward in life-with a goal of settling down, we get burdened with endless responsibilities, all eyes fixated, carefully noting down each of our mistakes with no mercy in sight. And all remains is a bottomless regret of not doing things right. The guilt of not doing as our heart desired, the grief of parted relations and leaving those who taught us a life lesson. As we look back at the journey - A hope lingers, that we can cherish these memories and embrace our past with a warm hug. As the memory fades away - All remains is a wish that the glimmer of our eyes doesn't.

Okay so colours, shading and rendering is definitely not a strength of mine, so I have a tendency to avoid doing it lol, but I feel like I'm learning quite a lot from doing this lyric comic :] Either way I'm having fun!
