i wanna make a sanuso zine (independent bc I wanna make it myself as a me project ok) (based off of my last post's hypothetical cover) it'll be posted on itch.io for download eventually and there's no set date bc im just starting however. ill probably be making a couple of surveys in stuff like organizing and such

so I do want help for the title since english puns aren't my strong suit

in case u know spanish my first idea was "Con las Manos en La Masa" (equivalent to "Caught Red Handed" but it directly translates to "Hands on the Dough") because I want the hands motif but also leave it with some sort of wordplay either with Sanji, usopp or both. Manos en la Masa helps as 1) caught red handed/fear or warning/relates to usopp and 2) "dough"/cooking/relates to sanji 3)"Masa" can refer to molding dough or materials in arts and crafts depending on context, which is also usopp 4) hands as motif for both of them 5) fun title

^^^^^ clearly hard to translate in english, so I found some alternatives that could be close enough !!!!!!

I do know that Aziraphale went back to heaven to help humanity, and while, like I said, I haven't watched the ending yet, from what I've seen, I definitely agree with the idea of heaven forcing Aziraphale to go back. I'm definitely sure that Aziraphale never wanted to hurt Crowley in the first place.

I agree with the fact that they both felt hurt by each other at one point, with Crowley not wanting to come with Aziraphale, and Aziraphale leaving Crowley behind, but they would never want to hurt each other.

Again, I'm a few episodes behind, so I apologize if I've gotten anything here incorrect 😅

short answer: no, they aren't--but the episode red herring does make it seem that way, when emma's red hair is only in one form. however, if they were separate bodies, emma's finger cut in season 1 and rikki's head injury in season 2 which they both got in mermaid form would not have stayed when they transformed back (but they did!) it's more of a bodily permanent-to-not-permanent basis on what stays and what leaves during a transformation.

long answer: opalsiren also has a detailed post on this if you're curious (and i do highly recommend giving it a read bc it changed my life, reshaped my reality, watered my crops, etc etc) but i'll try to explain it here too

if we look at what stays and what leaves during a transformation, we can sorta see a pattern

freckles, scars, wounds, hair texture/length, bodily proportions (mermaid forms age along with their human forms) and eye color all stay the same, meanwhile clothes, accessories, makeup, hair dye, etc, all disappear. furthermore, anything permanent, genetic, or breaking the skin keeps, and anything temporary or sitting on top of the skin disappears, and then reappears later. (ex: hair length stays consistent because hair follicles penetrate the skin and go beneath it, semi-permanent hair color doesn't cuz it inly sits around the hair follicles. would dying your hair fully & permanently transform too? mayhaps!)

a scientific way to explain this would be that the transformation process takes into account genetics and then the current state of your body before making the switch into either form. so, during the 30 seconds it takes to transform, the process involves reading the genetic code (eye color, skin color, face shape, etc, and also perhaps it only does this the first time, and saves the information for the future?) and then the state of the body (wounds, age, weight, hair length, etc) and then proceeds to alter the genetic makeup to the incoming body type with the new information. (and all of this needs to be read so that the transformation doesn't mess with anything integral or unnecessary, and doesn't cause unwanted changes!! for example i like to think a mermaid bleeding out would not transform back, in order to preserve the body's energy and resources)

this is by far the most common question i see and. u know what... it is a good one to ask LMAO

as i went into before, anything that doesn't permeate the skin will disappear when transforming. this includes dirt and grime!! it will just disappear, then come back like everything else. while they could wash their face and arms in mermaid form, their legs will still be grimy cuz theyre unaccessible!! so like,, how is no one complaining that the girls smell all the time?

so first, fun solution; i like to think that a good solution is that the transformative process is cleansing, as in they straight up Turn Into Water so every single impurity on their skin (such as dirt, oil, makeup maybe, etc) is washed away in both human form and mermaid form in the 30 seconds it takes for them to fully turn. this is a little hard to explain scientifically but i think it would make more sense when given the magic treatment--it just does it bc it can.

semi-boring solution, probably the canon one: their mermaid skin IS their human skin, so cleaning a mermaid tail is just like cleaning their human legs. would make sense as to why they all take baths w their tails! this is also probably the canon explanation, because when dr. denman transforms a scale in her lab, it shifts right back into skin, meaning it is, essentially, the same material. this conflicts a teensy bit with previously established lore in my opinion but . yknow. it is a mermaid show for kids 💀

actual boring solution: there is a canon specific amount of water content that transforms them, which i believe is like above 32% or something. if a liquid contains 32% water, boom, tail. however, it wouldn't be too hard to find alcoholic wipes that contain less than that water content, which they could use to clean the parts of their body that the mermaid tail obscures. straight bars of soap are sometimes less water content than that too, so they could pretty easily just scrub then dry-wipe it off. is it... more sanitary/safe than just washing with water? probably not! but it's an option! and if you dont vibe with the above options, this is a p good alternative

3. hey, what the Fuck is the moonpool

fantastic question. literally no one knows. they are soooo vague with this piece of lore it actually makes me upset considering how COOOL it is that there is an ancient magic pool in a volcano on an abandoned island. they fumbled the bag so hard guys

heres like, pretty much everything we know canonly abt it (in h2o lore only, not mako mermaids, all my homies hate mako mermaids)

- it works hand-in-hand with the moon & planets

- it, or the water in it, is sentient, and is aware of any dangers to it

- it seems to have a connection to fate (as in, the 1950's mermaids & their connection to the 2000's girls)

- there are several of these (implied, but there could just be only one other in ireland)

- each one has a specific set of water-based powers to give out, evenly divided among each person that jumps in the moonpool in a full moon, and these powers can be amplified on specific nights. (this also seems to correspond with personality)

-it is magic. (this is a point because it is Very hard almost near impossible to explain it scientifically)

It's a relationship that brings good vibes to Chan, this person has a good influence on him, at least at first. I feel as if Chan might have high expectations on his partner, or he has a very idealized opinion on what their relationship will be like, which might not be what the other person want. It's possible he wanted a more serious relationship while the other person wanted to keep it casual, or maybe he wants to get married and have a family while the other person would like to go slower. I don't think this causes big arguments, this might be a lasting relationship, but Chan is the enthusiast of the couple, while the other tends to be more realistic which might frustrate him.

Lee Know

It seems like a very happy relationship. His future spouse is someone close to him, like a friend. It's like those dramas with a friend to lovers dynamic. It's a relationship that might end up with an actual marriage. This is probably the best set of cards I pulled in this reading, if there's one who will have the typical fairytale love. It's possible that Minho might be the one who falls first and he might have to pursue the other person. They have a great chemistry, mentally and physically. 3 of cups and 4 of wands indicate that his relationship will be public, I assume he'll reveal it at some point and he won't meet too much criticism. As I said, an actual marriage is highly possible (the most likely out of all the members), all the people close to him will be happy and support his love story.

Changbin

I feel it's a very casual relationship at first, based on casual encounters and sex, but with time they develop actual feelings. It won't be an easy relationship though, developing feelings isn't something they were expecting and probably not something they see as a positive change at first. It's possible Changbin is the kind of person that prioritizes his work, I get a very "this is so bothersome" energy from the cards and he might think that a serious relationship is just an unnecessary obstacle. I feel like it's the kind of relationship that will end like it began, smoothly, no real drama, just the sadness that comes whenever something that could've been good ends. It's possible the other partner wants a serious relationship or wants to create a family and decides to leave because Changbin can't provide it.

It's not an easy relationship. There are intense feelings, but also a lot of pain. I feel it's the kind of situation that makes you think that "love isn't enough to make a relationship work". There's sincerity and love, but a lot of troubling emotions too. They might be prone to drama or they might struggle with their mental health or they might overthink a lot or have expectations that aren't easily met. They are both good people, but not in a great place mentally and this might cause pain to the both of them. I feel that they might work on it though since they don't want to let go of each other. I can't see a real outcome though. For other members I can more or less perceive if the relationship will last or not, or how unhealthy it truly is for them. In this case there's a lot of fogginess. Imo, I feel that if they're able to heal their insecurities, they might be a good couple, but right now I feel a lot of complex emotions between them.

Hyunjin

It seems like a very good relationship at first that gets ruined later on. Both are mature people, in a good situation from pretty much every point of view (economically, mentally, physically etc.), they work so well together. However, I think something big will happen that will disrupt completely their relationship. One of them might cheat or fall in love with someone else. Or their relationship will suddently go public, creating a big scandal that will cause one of them to think a break is the best solution. In any case, one of the two will feel betrayed because the break up is one-sided and they will probably need to work a lot to heal from it.

Felix

It seems like a relationship he jumped in without much thought. Not because it's a casual relationship, I think there are real feelings from the beginning, but it's possible he's miscalculating something. For example he might end up in one of those "matching items" scandals, so he might be a bit careless and he might fail to protect his privacy. I don't think this might mean the relationship will be ruined though, I still feel a positive energy coming from the cards. He just needs to take things more seriously. It might also point to him being uninterested in marriage and other "grown up" stuff like buying a house or becoming parents or something like that. He isn't against it either, he just doesn't think about that stuff, maybe because he feels like it's too early for that. It's like his relationship has this "we're young and in love" vibe, he doesn't think much about the future.

Seungmin

A relationship that doesn't really begin well. It's all about sex and addiction to the other person. Felix' reading gave me a very bright and young vibe, but here I see only dark emotions and unhealthy adults. There might be jealousy and one of them (or both) is possessive. This is the kind of relationship that shouldn't end up in a marriage or in a long-term relationship, it will lack stability, they don't have a good influence on each other. I don't really see any hint of a possible break up, so it's possible they might linger in this relationship for a long time. Contrary to Han's situation, there's nothing that can be saved here.

I think it might start as a good relationship that might end up in an actual marriage like Lee Know, but it will relatively soon end up in a break up. I see genuine feelings between them and the desire to make things work. Some problems may arise, but they want to stay together and might think that marriage (or another big change like living together) might help them to shake things up and begin a new happy chapter of their life. It's possible this problem might be his relationship going public without his consent and to peace everyone he'll rush in a marriage. But this won't bring happiness, new problems and misunderstandings might arise and this will lead them to choose to break up.

FROM WORST TO BEST (OR AT LEAST... A LITTLE LESS 'WORSE')

Oof, for worst of the worst? I'm torn between Sün and Jeremiah. They're kind of like two sides of the same coin, but with opposite 'positive' traits. Jeremiah is greedy and will squash anyone that gets in the way of getting what he wants and puts down his low income workers. Jeremiah doesn't care what others think of him, thus he doesn't try to control it. He operates mainly through a consumerist's point of view, so as long as what he produces is good and he has satisfied clients and most of his workers are content, you can't really hurt him and he doesn't care. But he is greedy, he takes more than what he gives to lower-class folks who work for him because they don't provide him with many benefits compared to someone who's wealthier or is more popular/has an influence because it can attract more customers. He is unwilling to change his capitalist mindset because of selfishness and greed.

Whereas Sün is generous (money has no value for him) and is willing to, albeit begrudgingly, negotiate things and discuss topics of change especially amongst his followers since he wants them to think they're on the same level. (manipulates their view to get his way but at least he's not making their lives entirely miserable); and for those that aren't up to date on Sün- the reason I think he's one of the worst is because: he is a cult leader supernatural creature that witholds the power of the Sun itself, which he uses as a fear tactic for his flock since they believe he's the one true God that really makes the world work (spinning the Earth, making natural life exist). Sün is manipulative and egotistical whom preys on the weak-minded and those in vulenrable positions (economical or otherwise) to indoctrinate them into his cult and further grow the worship around Him. (NOTE: he is not truly a deity, he just goes along with whatever people call him to fuel his ego. What he is exactly is complex to describe, but he's basically a supernatural terrestrial creature that is tied to the Sun, hence giving him a long lifespan. When the Sun blows up, his life ends on the spot as well- like having a heart attack. A true deity is not a creature born on Earth, their powers are not limited- meaning they can bend time, space & dimensions, and they do not die.)

Next up is Claude, because of his status when he was alive in his time period. Now that aristocracy isn't a thing anymore, he has no real power in society which leaves him an outcast. Claude, to put it in plain words, is a man that has no clue what he's doing.

He was raised to be a certain way, was made to follow certain beliefs and that's how it simply is in his mind. He doesn't know how to look past that, he doesn't know about himself, unless he has someone whispering in his ear what he should do, he doesn't really know what he's supposed to stand for or who is 'the good guy' since from his point of view, it should be him objectively just because he's an aristocrat and has a wealthy background; he is often conflicted and hypocritical, he doesn't know right from wrong + he's constantly at war with himself. You don't want that kind of person to make political choices, let alone be in a powerful position.

Next up is Willy, because similarly to Claude, he too doesn't know what he's doing, but in this case it's a bit more literal because of his intense emotional disregulation, since he's never had parents or a guardian at all, and having been exposed to torture 'therapy treatments' at the insane asylum that he grew up in- it created a loose cannon.

How Willy acts and behaves is purely based on raw emotions, he has no sense of critical thinking or processing situations, and if for some reason he is unable to use violence (his usual go-to response) he just cowers in fear, bites and screams like a frightened wild animal. While this last bit might make him more empathetic, it's to make an observation that he cannot be reasoned with like an average person having a breakdown if he's overtaken by emotions even if restrained, he won't listen to you because you've made him feel upsetting emotions which makes you bad in his eyes. His one true Saint that he will listen to is Eden, because he's kind to him .

Next is Rotgut which I could argue goes on the same level as Willy... while they are both victims which you Can empathize with, it doesn't mean they're little angels that never did anything wrong. They are Bad™️ and they lash out externally at anyone that gets in their path, the difference here is that Rotgut is 100% aware of what he's doing and still chooses to do it because he genuinely believes people around him deserve it because of the many centuries where people have ridiculed, abused and killed him over and over in the past.

He goes as far as to detach himself from people as if he's not also human. He puts himself high on a pedastal, he sees little to no good in humanity so he's always degrading anything remotely humanoid because you are objectively below him just for existing as you are, in his eyes all you're good for is sex and he's more than open to show that in the form of catcalling or groping.

He's at a surprisingly higher level from the top 'worse' I mentioned at the very beginning because at heart he is not entirely a bad or beyond irredeemable person... believe it or not, he has moments where he manages to look past sex; he has interests he enjoys discussing with other people that enjoy them; he is quite generous when it comes to wealth- money means nothing to him other than 21st century collectibles to keep in his coin collection, it doesn't matter if he has money or not- if he sees something he wants, he takes it regardless, a prison cell can't contain him and he can't be killed.

And of course, he has a big soft spot for kids (his own mostly, human kids just annoy him but he would never hurt or ignore a human child in danger either); lastly- Rotgut has a strong sense of justice when it comes to discrimination, but it fluctates a lot between his own selfishness and being selfless for others, to the point where it makes him quite hypocritical. He's fully capable of simply not giving a damn about the next person's feelings or space by spitting on their food or unsolicited tiddy honking, but the moment he sees a marginalized group being threatened he fights back on impulse based on emotion. His home country was taken from the hands of his people and he was tortured and killed over and over again because he refused to leave or submit to christian beliefs, it's like an automatic response from the little bit of humanity he still has left to defend others going through something similiar. I guess this kind of makes him morally grey in some aspects?

Next up is Freddy, who is also on a morally grey spectrum.

On one hand he is a scary-intelligent but introverted man; he's kind, understanding, he can be melancholic (artistic melancholy/dramatic more often than genuine grieving or despair, to be clear), and maybe a little gruff but with good intentions, but on the other he's a mad scientist with horrendous coping mechanisms who's primarly focus is his work and his work ONLY, so far that he's willing to perform gruesome experiments on creatures he's captured over minor offenses.

His 'side jobs' as a monster hunter and hitman sometimes leads to finding creatures that genuinely mean no malicious harm- but he uses the excuse thaf they 'posed a threat to humanity' in the moment he caught them which, in his mind, automagically justifies kidnapping them and using them as guinea pigs- at which point he no longer sees you as a person but an emotionless object instead which he is allowed to toy around with to reach his desired goal in xyz experiment. Really, deep down torturing monsters he's captured and deemed 'a threat' is, in a way, a personal way of letting out his bottled-up frustration and resentment on something.

He can focus his spite in the form of work, which he sees not only as productive but beneficial; it's a methodical hate, it's calculated as he cuts, injects, and surgically separates tendon from muscle, basking in the agony of the creature.

All his life he's masked and bottled his true feelings, nobody would listen or try to reason with a 'hostile' man who can only argue over a joke because it was a microaggression towards him? And what of his attitude, nobody would take seriously someone who's bitter all the time, only because you judged him by his appearence.

I think, summarized: dr. Kraus' character is tragic; another case where this person is a victim of generational trauma and racism, which you can understand, but his actions aren't justified. He is very prideful, egocentric perhaps, he's aware of his position of power thanks to his intelligence, he knows he has talent and he's very smug about it; thus, he justifies himself that this 'inferior' creature's (or anyone who crosses him) fate is for him to decide what to do.

He CAN be reasoned with. He can be redeemed. Kind of similiar to Willy, his actions are very much tied to his emotions- but in this case it's much more complex and elaborate instead of unchained and direct. If he finds that he can relate to X creature/person, you can be able to dig out his humanity. (The best way I can picture this for it to be understandable is that final scene with Peter Parker and Otto Octavius in Spiderman 2)

Lastly, Eden! I think that on a scale, he's the most mentally stable and 'normal' out of everyone else, although his condition is far from normal, being a corpse full of rats and all. He's introverted, he's kind, he's understanding, he's open-minded and happy-go-lucky.

But that doesn't mean he isn't flawed. While he generally doesn't pose a threat to others (unless Sün forces him to), he has little to no respect/boundaries for himself. His 'soft' nature, his meekness, his cowardly/neutral behaviour to speak up for himself can make him become a victim at the hands of others without being able to eacape the cycle, and he allows it to keep happening out of fear. Sün openly abuses and bullies him knowing that he won't fight back; on the other hand, if he sees Sün abusing someone else, he will be too scared to speak up or mention it to someone else for fear of the abuser finding out, unless you force it out of him.

His personality mirrors Freddy's; he bottles up a lot of his feelings, leaving only those which are 'pleasant' for those around him. Both forced to put on a 'formal gentleman' mask to be seen as people in their timeline where appearences meant everything. He doesn't have any coping mechanism like Freddy, he just straight up ignores any feeling of anger, resentment, injustice because he thinks it's nonsense and doesn't know what to do with it.

And when he reaches his limit, just like Freddy- he explodes and unleashes raw, unprocessed emotions in destructive manners. Although his 'tolerance' bar is a lot higher than Freddy since he's lived like this his entire life, it's very rare for him to lash out. It's easier to see him cry or make him kiss your feet before you'll see him being genuinely angry/expressing his true feelings or standing up for himself, it's sad and pathetic.

oh my god semi anon you have no idea how much i LOVE pokemon!!! i've got my own au in the works for them, and i always enjoy seeing other people's takes on what a pokemon au would look like!! also, i'm assuming this is sort of like a brand-new region and thus teams aren't limited to what would typically be region-locked pokemon, which would make forming them waaaaaaay easier.

i do really like the idea of tendou being a psychic-type or fire-type expert!!! if you really want to throw a curveball and have tendou do something unpredictable--which i also think is very tendou-like--then i think fairy would be a good specialty for him, too, if you don't like the psychic or fire options for his team (of which we have a few options here--i think delphox or darmanitan could work as his main partner if he was either a psychic or fire expert, and galarian rapidash would work for psychic or fairy, too. fairy would also give you great options for a team overall because i personally think tendou would enjoy having a tinkaton and/or grimmsnarl on his side). generally, though, since tendou tends to be a wild card, i think you could go any type and have it make sense for him in the end LMAO.

if you decide to go down the fire path for tendou, that would leave yamagata in a hard place, it sounds like. i do think he'd be a cool fire-type expert--i can totally see a lot of them being on his team and as his main. if not, though, i think yamagata would be a great fighting or rock! if he had a lycanroc for his main/on his team, he'd take it out for jogs and play fetch with it, like, all the time. blaziken or infernape would also work for a fighting or fire team, or maybe hariyama.

if you end up not liking psychic for tendou, i think kawanishi would be a great psychic-type expert instead! ice and dark are also really fitting for him, i feel like. i could totally see him with a gardevoir or a gallade as a main, maybe an umbreon for dark and a glalie or frosmoth for ice. quiet, yes, but strong in his own right. pokemon who get him just as much as he gets them. the umbreon would curl up to take naps with him, and the gardevoir or gallade would know how he feels without him having to say it or show it on his face. they'd be good for him as a trainer and as a person.

reon, to me, would make a great normal or flying type expert. he'd be really cool with a noivern or a braviary as his main, maybe a sawsbuck on his team too if you're sticking with normal types. but i just have this image of him inside my head soaring on the back of the braviary with one of those aviator-themed outfits that some of the flying type leaders have!! he'd look really good in it imo, and i can also totally see him in that outfit against a dramatic backsplash of a susnet, arm outstretched for a bird to land on.

goshiki . . . a little bit more difficult. but i think he'd be a great poison or electric type expert, mostly becuase i know his path towards becoming that would be full of either accidentally poisoning or electrocuting himself. but he'd keep going, and that's what we love about him!! i can totally see him loving trubbish during a time when everyone makes fun of trubbish, and they make a vow to become the best together and show everyone or something. toxicroak would be another good one for him--a pokemon that tends to keep its cool while goshiki is floundering. luxray would also be a good one for that if you want to go down the electric route. if you want one to match goshiki's energy, i think electivire would be a really funny main for him in that case--baby goshiki and his elekid just sounds so cute.

and jin my beloved. if you leave flying for reon, then jin could totally be a normal type expert! i think he'd be great with a stoutland as his main. i also think he could be a grass type expert--he gives off those vibes to me for some reason. i can see him with a tangrowth, decidueye, or a tropius as his main/on his team being a grass-type expert. little jin with a rowlet trying to tackle the world sounds adorable to me, and i think they could grow into a really powerful team that many would underestimate when just initially looking at jin.

U know especially for someone who hasn't consumed JJK in awhile, that's really accurate. I'd really love more details if u want but not only is that super accurate but man what a fucking fun character that would be. Idk even know who I'd want to see them interact with the most because I want to see them interact with everybody. Some other fun things I thought of regarding Nopher that aren't specifically related to Ford/anyone:

Nopher (which I'll say is the fusion name), definitely will have a hard time getting used to the body first. If you think about it, it's just Sukuna & Itadori in Season 1 (which btw, IF my art block doesn't attack me, i MIGHT draw an interaction btwn them). Simply not pleasant LMAO. Ford doesn't really know what to do with it because Nopher isn't much of a threat for the moment. Another thing to note is that Nopher kinda just showed up to to Ford's doorstep (thanks Bill) and while Ford DOES immediately recognize Bill in Nopher, he does not recognize the physical body he inhabits. Ford doesn't know Nobara, and Nobara doesn't know Ford. Only connection they really have with each other is Bill. I feel like Ford would be VERY intrigued by how Nobara, who likely doesn't have much knowledge on Bill, is able to withstand brief periods of possession per say? I'd like to think that although Ford really doesn't want to do anything with Cipher At All, he can't really ignore the fact that he got a "random" person involved. Obviously Nopher's capable of pretty much the entire arsenal that Nobara & Bill have (except Bill's powers might be a teensy bit limited but they don't know that).

Don't ask me where they get the money from but they do enjoy clothes shopping/shopping in general for the trendy stuff. One of the very few things they "enjoy"/have in common.

Nobara within the mindspace once in awhile will get excited to see the things they have around Oregon, same with Bill when they meet the JJK gang in Tokyo.

Bill ABSOLUTELY gets really confused over the idea of being able to see Curses. The creatures released during Weirdmageddon couldn't leave the confinements of the town, so it's a shocker for Bill to find that there are actually other worldly beings residing in a place outside of Gravity Falls. Freely too! (If they aren't killed)

On the contrary though, Nobara will always see the weird stuff happening in Gravity Falls as a threat. She's been trained that way to never let her guard down and she's BRUTAL with it. I think during these times, Nopher's general "crazy" really starts to come out.

Regarding the past 2 bullet points, it's a just whole new struggle for Nopher: Nobara needs to continue protecting people from Curses that normal people can't even see, whereas Bill always wants to try and make allies with them. It's tough.

That's probably all I'm gonna come up with for now!! I do have a semi-large project I'd like to get started on & finish before the end of the week so story-building Nopher may not be prioritized for now. I do hope you enjoyed my ramble though, anon!

Since someone brought up the God’s Gift thing in the comics, it makes me think that when the mercs die (at least the ones going to heaven) they get whatever they would consider paradise/happiness?

Like Sniper saw his parents (who are also dead) bc as we’ve seen in Meet the Sniper and the comics, they never approved of his profession. So, when he sees them praise him/tell him to get back to work, he’s fully content. He doesn’t need an extravagant eternity, he just wanted their approval.

Scout on the other hand had God himself boosting his ego, endless games to play, Tom Jones, and overall *attention* (I’m guessing he doesn’t see his siblings + mom bc they’re still alive). I think that interpretation is actually really nice? Like there’s no universal “paradise” just what each person would consider paradise. Parental approval for Sniper and what’s essentially a hypeman for Scout. Idk this is long sorry but it made me curious

YEAH! I think I did a post abt this actually AHGKLAHGA where I got like super philosophical and informed by my own ideas about religion and a whoooole buncha boring personal stuff u guys aren't here for LMAO but like yeah! That's basically how I feel. However, I do think SOME stuff calls into question whether or not what they see is, quote unquote, "real" - I think a lot of people take this idea and go "so because each of their heavens are different, what they see isn't 'real' and there is no God in the tf2 universe" which I'm not fond of either as a genuine perspective on religion (boring and personal) OR as an interpretation of the source material (fun and what ur here for)! I think we kinda ARE meant to understand that each of their heavens are "real." I think Scout's is a better example for arguing that God is real in the tf2 universe: Scout dies, Scout goes to Heaven, Scout meets God, God decides Scout should come back to life, Scout comes back to life. It's not like Sniper where Medic brought him back to life with science; Scout just leaves the pearly gates and wakes right back up. Also, we see Tom Jones in heaven. If this were all in Scout's mind, he wouldn't KNOW that Tom Jones is in heaven - even if he subconsciously knows that Spy is his dad and is just in denial about it (as is heavily implied), he seems to have NO idea that Tom Jones is dead! So heaven must be real because Tom Jones is there while Scout doesn't know that Tom Jones is dead.

This isn't even getting into how Medic MOST DEFINITELY goes to Hell for real, so the Devil must exist. Medic DIES. He's like, SUPER dead. He gets shot twice directly in the chest. He's DEAD. And he comes back. Just like, stands right back up. And it's implied that he previously interacted with the Devil in order to "sell his soul." And he wakes up with the fuckin pen. So the Devil is real, God is real, Sniper's vision of his parents is also probably real but I just don't have the stuff to back that one up. Sorry Snipes

1. Are they good at making friends? What makes it so easy for them?

Absolutely not. He sucks at being nice, so friends are hard to come by.

2. Do they struggle to maintain friendships? Why?

So Pride hasn't really had a friend since before the rebellion that got him sent to Hell. Demons aren't pals. When he does get to Earth, he resists interacting with humans as much as possible, and isn't trying to maintain any sort of relationship with Justice at all.

When he does accidentally make friends, he kind of... ignores them unless he wants to do something? Like if he's bored or something. They all just met him, so they don't know how normal this is or if he's busy, and kind of accept that Pride will leave them on read sometimes.

Why does he do this? Because he's used to relationships being transactional and assumes people don't care about him. He doesn't think anyone misses him when he's gone, or... want to have a relationship with him unless they're also getting something out of it.

3. Do they have a best friend? Multiple?

Ollie is his best friend, he'll admit that right away (when he gets enough character development to say so). She's the only motherfucker in this city who can handle him.

4. Do they prefer a ton of friends or a small group?

Definitely a small group. He does Not want to be vulnerable with more than a few people at once.

5. Do they ever wish they had more friends? Fewer friends?

Pride wishes that he wanted to have more friends. The idea of being someone who's popular and has dozens of friends and has everyone's love and attention calls to him. In reality though, he would never be able to or want to handle that many people being in his personal circle.

Justice

20. Do they have any “unlikely” friends? How did they meet?

Pride would be quite an unlikely friend of his lmao

In the book club specifically, though, Basil is perhaps the unlikeliest? They keep to themself most of the time, and really only talk to Emelia at length outside of meetings. During the book discussions, they might chime in with their own observations, but are just as often quiet for the whole hour. Thanks to his Angel Powers, Justice is immediately trustworthy to all humans, or at least makes them feel inexplicably "safe" so it's much easier for him to make unlikely friends. They began their friendship with Justice asking about their TTRPG dice, and the rest is history.

21. Are they a physically affectionate friend? With certain people or with everyone?

Yes, absolutely! He will ask first, but given the option to be huggy with his friends he will always take it.

22. How would they make friends in a new location where they don’t know anyone?

Justice is quite a social butterfly and likes going to places and talking to people. That's actually how he found his book club friends in the first place—in an attempt to learn how to be convincingly human, he went to the library and saw a flier for it. He showed up because it sounded fun! And there's people there!

23. Do they have any “dealbreakers” when it comes to making friends with someone?

Generally, just... don't be a dick? Justice is a very forgiving person, since being able to detect everyone's pain makes it hard to really hate someone, but even he draws his lines. He has a particular distaste for injustice, or unfair treatment, and there's probably no amount of Sad Backstory that would make him forgive someone who consistently treats people unfairly.

24. Do they consider their co-workers friends? Do they have a separate “work friends” category that’s separate from their “regular friends”?

Justice doesn't work, necessarily? Unless you count Heaven, that was sort of his career. In that case, yeah definitely he considers them a separate category, but more like "human friends" vs "angel friends."

When it comes to just his human friends, he has different groups that he organizes in his head. His book club friends, obviously, then his church friends, and his volunteer friends—which are close enough to coworkers, and some of them overlap with his church friends.

25. How do they celebrate with their friends? Birthdays, holidays, anniversaries, etc.?

The second Justice learned what a birthday party was, he loved it. He's always down for celebrations, and would LOVE to help plan them. He hasn't been on Earth for long enough to have that happen, but when his book club friends invite him out to like, a big birthday dinner or something, he ALWAYS goes. And gets a little present!

Certain holidays hold more weight for him than others when it comes to his friends, and he is, of course, a huge fan of Christmas which is when most people are home with their families. He does always offer to extend his holiday celebrations out to those of his friends who are alone for the holidays (Chris is totally cut off from its family, Basil is on-and-off, Kit's family lives far away and she can't always afford to go out of town, etc.), and when they accept, he is delighted about having people over.
