Stardew Valley 20 Heart Event Headcanons pt. 4!

Alex!

🏈 12-heart event: Alex sees you in town and asks if you want to go see a movie at the movie theatre with him. You meet him at the movie theatre at 7pm and you two go in and see a movie. You see whatever is in the theatre at the time. You sit and enjoy the movie, he puts his arm around you. In the middle of the movie, he kisses you.

🏈 14-heart event: Alex has never seen your farm and he wants to help out. (By that I mean lifting heavy things and showing off.) Alex comes over at around 8 a.m. You already did some of the work but he'd still like to help. He helps you lift haybales and put hay into the silo. He helps you move crops and helps you with some of your animals. (a chicken lands on his head.) You both sit down at the end with some drinks. Alex says he had a good time, he really enjoyed spending time with you today. You're always so busy farming and working that he doesn't always get to see you. The next thing to do is take the rest of the crops into town and sell them at Pierre's. Alex helps you grab some of the crops, but before he goes he gives you a kiss. Then runs for the town, he's decided he wants to race you to the store.

🏈 16-heart event: You go into town to see Alex talking to someone. You wait for Alex to finish his conversation and head over afterward. You ask Alex who that was and he says that was a talent agent. He has been looking for people to try out for the Zuzu City Tunnelers! Alex is so excited but also seems a bit nervous. Two dialogue prompts pop up (don't be you'll do great!/You put in so much practice, as long as you remember that you'll do just fine.) He responds and says that you're right, hugs you, and goes off to practice.

🏈 18 heart event~ Part 1: Be at the farm between 2 and 4 pm. Alex is waiting there for you. He says he went to the tryouts and all went well from what he could tell. He hopes everything went well but he's still nervous about all the things he might have done wrong. (Stop worrying about the small things, I'm sure you did great!/ well at least you tried, it's better than not trying at all.) Either way, Alex is glad he talked to you.

Part 2: be at Alex's house between noon and 2 pm. Alex is glad to see you, he says he's waiting to get a phone call from the recruitment agent. The agent calls and Alex listens carefully. He doesn't say anything at first but then he says he got into the team. He's so happy he hugs and kisses you. He then runs out of his room to tell his grandparents about how he got the position on the team. They are also very excited/happy for him.

🐚 ~ Marriage~ 🐚

🏈 20 Heart Event: It's time for Alex to play with the Tunnelers! A bunch of people from stardew get on the bus to cheer him on, you included of course. The game goes great and the Tunnelers win! Everyone is on the sidelines cheering. He sees you afterward and gives you a big hug. He's so happy that you won and he's even happier that you're here. He kisses you on the field sidelines as everyone cheers and confetti goes off from above.

(I never really 100% like the idea that Alex just abandoned his dream of playing grid ball so included it in my headcannon)

Megaera/Zagreus/Thanatos:

Canon. One of the romance options in the game (and also the one that would be considered the true route if this was a dating sim) is a polycule between Zagreus, Thanatos and Megaera. Meg and Zag are exes who still have feelings for each other, while Zag and Than are childhood friends falling in love. Their routes happen mostly separate, but Zagreus tells each of them that he has feelings for the other, and they're all perfectly fine with it. After a while dating both, you can get a scene where Meg and Than are waiting for Zagreus in his room between runs, among other things discussed, they hint at the fact the two of them had some type of relationship (likely sexual) way before either started dating Zag. For this reason I see them romantically as more of a V, with Zag in the center, but when it comes to physical intimacy it is a triangle. I thinm this was my first exposure to canon polyamory, so they mean a lot to me.

Leah/Farmer/Elliot:

Not Canon, technically. It can be real in your heart, but unless the most recent uodate includes polyamory (which would be great but I don't think it does?) you can only romance one at a time. Honestly Leah and Elliot are just two of my favorites, I like that they are artistic, which are traits they share with me, and I just think they are both so pretty?? They appear to be close friends, you can often see the two of them together during festivals and other events, too, which might mean they're each other's romantic interest in case you don't choose them. But we do choose them. We choose both of them.

15 Questions: Character Edition

Let's do Dain Sundamar, from Captured by the Fae Beast. I've been in a Faery sort of mood recently.

1. Are you named after anyone? Not as such. "Dain" is an old word meaning "haughty" or "worthy"; such things are often used for the sons of royal lines. "Sundamar" is a faery epithet referring to destruction, death, and especially the rending of things that were formerly whole into broken pieces. I suppose it's simple enough to imagine why my mother would select such a name for me.

2. When was the last time you cried? Such an odd question to open with. High emotion, even to the point of weeping, isn't a thing to be hidden, and I don't keep track of such events. I believe it may have been at my wedding.

3. Do you have kids? The idea appeals, but I would like to spend a few centuries enjoying Leah before we make such an attempt.

4. Do you use sarcasm? Who doesn't?

5. What’s the first thing you notice about people? By long habit, I assess how easily they could attack me. If, however, you're asking about physical features, typically their scent.

6. What’s your eye color? I would say yellow-orange. Leah calls it wolf gold.

7. Scary movies or happy endings? I'm not certain what a "movie" is, but as far as stories go, I certainly prefer joy. I've had enough fear and pain in my life that I don't seek such things out for entertainment.

8. Any special talents? Many.

9. Where were you born? In the Antlered Palace at the heart of Stag Court.

10. What are your hobbies? I have a number, but my favorite among them is flower-hunting. I have a great appreciation for wildflowers, and find it both soothing and rewarding to go in search of such lovely, ephemeral things.

11. Have you any pets? I have a riding stag, of course. Most small creatures don't tolerate me, but Leah's strange cat has an appalling fondness for my lap.

12. What sports do you/have you played? Would you consider combat a sport? I enjoy the practice courts a great deal, and am a deft hand at swordplay and glamor-battle both.

13. How tall are you? That question has two very different answers. Around six foot four, typically.

14. Favorite subject in school? Though I had private tutors for my schooling, I had a great appreciation for tactics and strategy, as well as a general fondness for reading.

15. Dream job? I've... never considered it. When one is born a crown prince, one's future is fairly well-set. Ranging, I suppose? I have always appreciated the opportunity to turn my strength and skills to the protection of my people, and the First Army was always a comfortable home for me.

hello! i'm the one that requested the first oneshot you did with elliott's secret book of poems :) i've been reading what you've written and you're doing really good <3 can i request elliott's 14 heart event reimagined where elliott comes to the farm from his book tour earlier than expected and suprises the farmer? preferably with the line "i never want to be without you again" :) thanks!

I've only seen his 14-heart event once, so bear with me <3 I hope you like how it turned out!

Amelia sighed as she read the poem Elliott sent her for the hundredth time today. He had been gone for 4 days now and she had no idea that a person could miss someone so much. She moved, placing it back on the table where it was safe from harm. She adored anything that he wrote to her, reading most of them when he was busy working on his next novel. She even had the small book filled with poems he had written before they even started dating. She absolutely adored them. 

She laughed to herself as she crouched to pet Loaf, their faithful corgi. He often sat by the door, waiting for Elliott to arrive. It made Amelia oddly sad. 

She felt like a woman in the days before technology, longing for a man far away as she cherished every correspondence. She sighed as she stepped out of the door, pulling on her sun hat as she moved to tend to her farm. 

Hours passed as Amelia moved too slowly, distracted. It was close to 2 pm when she finally finished everything. She took the eggs, milk, and vegetables that she saved to the kitchen to prepare them as gifts or dinners. Once she had all of that put away, she made her way downstairs, pleased to see many of the casks and kegs completed. She would leave the wine to age for a while, though she wanted to try the wine made from the strange blue fruit that grew from an old seed. She bottled one of those, corking it carefully. She had plenty, so she moved on to the jellies, pickles, and cheeses. 

Her haul was insanely large. She couldn’t wait to tell Elliott all about it. She’d finally be able to buy him the quill she saw him eyeing on their last trip into Grampleton. 

She sighed, glancing at the letter that held the poem she had memorized at this point. She pulled her phone out and turned on some music, loud enough that she could sing along as she washed the vegetables, cutting some and storing others. She was careful as she cut them though, not wanting to go visit Harvey at the moment. She paused the music as she heard the door open, not turning to greet Leah. She had come over every night to hang out in Elliott's absence. 

“Hey, Leah,” she called, “I’m almost done. Had a lot to pull today.”

She furrowed her brow at the silence, hearing the footsteps grow near, assuming it was Leah coming to check it all out. Just as she set the knife down, she felt someone wrap their arms around her, pressing a soft kiss to her neck. She gasped, immediately backing up and turning around to find out who the hell would even try something like this. 

Elliott stood there, his smile growing wider the longer she looked at him in excitement.

“El…? You’re home?” She shook her head as if she was trying to shake away sleep. 

“I certainly hope so, else my greeting would have been quite awkw—“ she bounced on her toes in excitement as he started to talk before she ran over to him, jumping up and wrapping herself around him. 

His laugh echoed through the house as he caught her, making sure his feet were planted firmly so they didn’t fall over. She pulled back just enough to meet his eyes, brushing his hair from his face, “El, I’m so happy you’re here… but the tour…?” he walked over, sitting her down on the counter and standing between her legs to keep her close. 

“They had to cancel a few of them. The only one remaining is in Zuzu and I was hoping you’d accompany me?”

She nodded enthusiastically before taking him by the face and pulling him in for a heated kiss, earning a low hum of approval. Once she pulled back, she continued pressing feather-light kisses over his face as she spoke, “and what about when you have to go national?”

He chuckled, the way his lips made a crease by his lips drawing in her next kiss. 

“If, darling. If I go on a national tour, you’re coming with me.”

She looked down, Elliott catching her chin, “simple, darling,” he pressed a gentle kiss to her lips, “I never want to be without you again.”

She bit her lower lip before throwing her arms around him in a tight hug, pulling another laugh out of him, “you’re not letting go of me tonight, I presume?”

She laughed quietly, moving his hair to press little nips and kisses along his ear, jaw, and neck, “would you prefer I stop? I have four days to make up for.”

He hummed, leaning his head to the side for her to access. 

He just hummed in approval, hands dipping under her thighs to pull her as close as possible. 

She smirked against his neck, running her teeth over the soft skin. He released a nearly inaudible hum before she nipped the skin, a little more playful as she kissed up to his ear, gently nibbling his earlobe as her hands moved up to remove his tie. 

“I know where we can start,” she hummed as she pulled the tie free, holding it against his chest and pulling back to meet his eyes, “take this, go into the bedroom, take off your clothes…” she smirked, “and tie this around your eyes.”

He looked surprised for a moment but smirked, leaning in to kiss her deeply for just a moment before walking to the room, already stripping his clothes off. 

She smiled almost wickedly before tying her hair back and pulling the small box from under the counter that contained a new bra and panty set that she had planned to use for when he came home, perfect for this exact moment. 

Quickly, she changed and ran to the bedroom to welcome her husband home properly.

AFTERTHOUGHTS - ROUNDUP ROUND 14

As I'm writing this. It's 12 AM on September 1st. So I think it's fair to assume I prooooobably won't be beating any other games in August unless I decide to bumrush something RIGHT NOW... But I don't wanna do that.

Usually when there's so few games for one of these posts, I'll save them and combine them with next month until I have a chunkier collection... But I don't wanna do that. Guys. This is the SpongeBob one. I'm finally gonna talk about SpongeBob.

Stardew Valley (February 26, 2016) - PC

OH MY GOD YOU GUYS IT'S STARDEW VALLEY! Yeah, farming games aren't usually my thing, but this one was a little different and required my attention for personal reasons. For starters, it's my mom's favorite video game of all time! She plays any farming game she can get her hands on, but this one is absolutely her #1. So I had to check it out for her. And also, because she loves it so much I took her to the Stardew Valley Festival of Seasons concert a month or so ago. I had only played a little bit of the game to get familiar with what music I could the day before the concert, but I enjoyed what I played and loved the music at the concert so much, I decided to go ahead and keep playing. Now, these games don't really "end" in a traditional sense. But I figured my goal for SV would be Grandpa's Review because my mom and people on reddit suggested it's the closest thing the game has to an ending.

And, ultimately, yeah I loved this game! Where to begin with the positives? I think it has some REALLY lovely sprites, the game never has a screen that doesn't look good (certain beds exempt). Environments look great, some scenes and areas are genuinely gorgeous like the jellyfish festival, I think a lot of the characters have really cute designs, and the whole game just feels nice to look at. Like I said earlier, the music is FANTASTIC! It's all very pretty and every season's music is wonderful to listen to. My favorite songs are probably from the mine though, they're all so somber but really nice. And my personal favorite song over all being 'A Golden Star is Born' from the Community Center quests. Speaking of the mines and community center, I actually think these things are what made this game so approachable for me. Farming games are great and cute, but I've never made this much progress in any of them (the closest being A Wonderful Life on GC maybe.) But I think having some surprisingly in depth combat with multiple weapon classes, equipment, and fucking parrying?? In the farming game??? Okay... And also having something of a story mode with rebuilding the community center and trying to find the perfect ingredients for each bundle really helped me press along in the game rather than getting stuck. Like, it gave me a goal to work towards whereas most farming games are truly endless. If that makes sense? I'm also shocked by the sheer amount of content in this game, I barely scratched the surface of what there is to do over the 2 years I played it. The characters are all cute (for the most part I don't fw Shane), I love seasonal cycles, I love all the hidden easter eggs and stuff, I love Korbus, I loved the cute festivals, I loved Leah my hot artist wife. There's a lot to love in this game.

But like every game it isn't perfect. Just the way it is. And I have 2 specific issues with this game that come down to how you interact with NPCs. The first issue: Your Dog. Why can't I do ANYTHING with this damn dog? I can pet it, and sometimes he gives me things. But I can't play fetch, or take it for a walk, or even buy it presents? IT'S MY DOG!! I think even potentially having heart events as you become better friends with your pet could be super cute. Though I guess they don't do this because there's a lot of pet variety. The second issue: Your Partner. I've seen other people complain about this and I TOTALLY agree. Your partner just doesn't do enough. When you ask them out or propose there's basically no fanfare (maybe that's how it is irl too for all I know lmao) And once you're married, they are just GONE. They don't have a daily schedule anymore, you very rarely see them working, and there isn't much you can do together. Sometimes they make you coffee or feed the animals but it's just so sad to me! I think they should have some sort of daily schedule that just incorporates being at your house MORE rather than doing nothing. Maybe having more dates would be nice after you're married? Maybe having you two go to the festivals TOGETHER??? Mayhaps? Idk I just do kind of feel like marrying Leah ruined her life lmao. I probably would've changed her story specifically so that she still occasionally goes to her house to use it as an art studio for work.

But that's pretty much all I have for Stardew. Yeah, I get it now. This game is adorable. And I will certainly come back to continue playing it eventually (there's still ONE LAST community bundle left to do). But for right now, I'm happy to call it here. Spongebob Squarepants: Battle for Bikini Bottom (October 29, 2003) - Gamecube

GUYS CAN WE TALK ABOUT SPONGEBOB I'VE BEEN DYING TO TALK TO YOU ALL ABOUT SPONGEBOB!! OKAY HERE WE GO:

So, recently I said to myself "man it's been a while since I've watched the Spongebob movie." That was a dangerous start to a larger rabbit hole. For context, I ADORE that movie. And even though I like Spongebob, I wouldn't consider myself to be a huge fan of it or anything. But then I thought "well, why not watch Season 1-3 all the way for the first time so I can watch the movie as a finale?" Which lead to "man it's been a while since I played the Movie game. I loved that as a kid. Which led to "holy shit don't I own Battle for Bikini Bottom on gamecube? Why haven't I played that yet?" And... well, now I've done it all, boys. I'm a regular spongebob expert. And you're gonna read my thoughts! Basically the way I consumed it was SpongeBob seasons 1-3 > Battle for Bikini Bottom > SpongeBob Movie > Movie Game. But I'll start with the game afterthoughts, then I'll treat you all to a rare afterthoughts about a show, rather than a video game.

So, Battle for Bikini Bottom. I know this is the one that EVERYONE loves... And honestly, yeah I love it too lol. I think it's a SUPER cute game that captures the chaotic energy and feel of the show INCREDIBLY well. The original plot is really cute and absolutely feels like a special they would've made, and I'm glad they bothered making an original plot at all because they easily could've just made it... idk, nothing? And even for a bit of a SpongeBob newbie like me, the novelty of actually getting to run around all the locations is not lost on me. Like actually seeing stores from Spongebob in downtown, or even visiting stuff from one episode like Rock Bottom (even though I thought the level sucks imo, I just liked that episode a lot lol). And seeing them replicate gags from the show genuinely got a lot of laughs out of me. Like a bridge falling from the plane, or the bus coming out when you go to the vending machine. It's cute and is clearly filled to the BRIM with love for the show.

And the gameplay is just fun, simple platformer goodness! I liked having 3 playable characters with their own unique abilities, though I do wish Sandy could've been fleshed out more. It's got nice collectathon energy, the visuals are bright and colorful, and the soundtrack is surprisingly killer. Particularly the main theme to the hub world has been stuck in my head since beating it and the Poseidome theme rules. Probably the best aspect of this game though to me is the boss battles. They're all great (except maybe having to hit robot plankton with the homing bubble, he's SO FUCKING TINY STOP MOVING-) But seriously I think the way they handle the bosses are great and having the talking fish commentate over the bosses RULES! And like, was actually a little insightful. I remember getting hit trying to deal damage to the first boss and when the fish was like "I don't think Spongebob will be winning that way" I immediately knew I was doing it wrong. Idk, it's small and maybe would be annoying in other games but it works here.

So yeah they game is lovely and filled with that wonderful Spongebob charm. But it's not perfect. Particularly they couldn't get all the voices, which wouldn't be the end of the world if the replacement voices weren't insanely off lmao. Mermaid Man in particular is just nuts. Some of the levels aren't that amazing either. Like the Kelp Forest is REALLY dark and hard to see. Rock Bottom was INSANELY confusing and I'm still not sure how to navigate most of it. And the audio mixing in this game could be DEMENTED! Idk how to show it to you but if you ever get near a waterfall in this game... Good lord. The sound of that waterfall will be SO LOUD and completely drown out all other noise. It's filled with weird super loud ambient noises like this. And while I think Spongebob's health being underwear is funny, idk why health is even in this game because getting hit by an enemy once just sends you FLYING. A single hit of damage is basically a guaranteed death because you'll be knocked back so insanely far and fast that you almost always fall off the stage. It's nuts. The game also just isn't super polished in every area, and I think the sequel really improves on some aspects like how special moves are done as well as how it handles its generic collectibles. But, like, this game was so cute and so well done and so funny. I couldn't stay mad at it. What a surprise treat this was!

The Spongebob Squarepants Movie (October 27, 2004) - Xbox

But, the whole time I was playing BfBB I kept thinking "oh man this gets recycled in the movie game and it's SO much better there." I played this one as a little kid and I ADORED IT!! Just like I adore the actual movie. So after rewatching it, I was stoked to come back and play my old childhood copy of it again :)

And boy howdy was I wrong, this game is not as good as Battle for Bikini Bottom. Yes, it certainly does do the things I said earlier better. I like that it has RPG elements where you can actually upgrade special moves and health, that RULES. And I think making the generic collectibles work like EXP rather than currency for more of the main collectibles is cooler. But... idk man, this one is rough.

So, this game was made in like a year. And it shows. Instead of the charming in engine cutscenes from the first game, this instead uses stills from the movie where the narrator tells you what happened over it. These are worse than you remember. By the time you reach the ending, they full on don't even have screenshots from the movie and have to make their own using stock assets and what seems to be drawings done in paint? Take a look, it's bizarre.

Particularly that last one. Notice the stray pixels inside Spongebob's eyelashes. Is that where the fill tool failed to color in the edges? Or how about the miscolor around SpongeBob's mouth. It's INSANE this is in the final game. Again though, this game was made in a year. This is almost certainly Nickelodeon's fault for not giving them access to the movie for... some odd reason.

And it's not just this, cutscenes that do use animated models tend to just have them idling while occasionally moving to talk. I don't think Mindy even has a full model cause she's only ever seen over her magic mirror. The game is also full of a lot of repeated missions, like enemy fights or platform challenges or ring challenge and time challenges. And the first game had this too, but it had a LOT more missions to do so you could better pick and choose your battles. But here you need basically every goofy goober token. Which forces you to do a lot of the game's worst levels.

There's other oddities too, like Dennis using a seemingly scrapped design during his rematch. Hasslehoff obviously not being able to return for it. But let's move onto some of its positives because no game is truly awful.

Aside from the Patty Wagon stages, the actual levels themselves are good. The platforming levels are a lot of fun, the tub slide levels are okay, and the bosses are generally all good and creative I'd say. I think there's also some other polish made over the first game like tons of hidden extras like concept art or alt costumes. I also think Goofy Goober Tokens are a cleaner mcguffin than golden spatulas if that makes any sense at all. It's improved visuals and they actually got back EVERY voice actor. Including Mindy. Which doesn't mean much cause most of the cast never talks in this game. But it's cool they pulled it off! Music is fantastic, the final boss theme is genuinely such a banger. The desert theme rules. This games OST still really holds up and I may prefer it over BfBB still honestly. I also think the enemies are a little less annoying than BfBB.

Yeah it's odd. I don't think it's a TERRIBLE game. But man I'm shocked I finished it as a kid. It's clearly rushed and didn't get the time that BfBB did. And ultimately I think being more polished can't save it from the slideshow cutscenes and the annoying amounts of grinding you have to do to beat it.

Spongebob Squarepants (May 1, 1999)

Okay, so that's the games. But what are my thoughts on the show? I've seen some episodes of it as a kid. I had some VHS tapes I believe and we would rent episodes from the Library. But I didn't have cable so most of these episodes I hadn't seen before. And certainly not all at once like this. Which was very interesting to finally do. Again, I watched the first 3 seasons and then the Movie.

Thoughts? Yeah SpongeBob is a funny as fuck show! I think it has a great premise that's actually very unique. Taking place completely underwater with aquatic characters. The cast is all great, I love Spongebob and sometimes I really fuck with Patrick. Sandy is great, and Plankton + Karen may be some of the best characters but they're not in it enough, especially Karen. And personally I kind of don't fuck with Squidward (he's responsible for his own problems 99% of the time don't let revisionists tell you it's spongebob and patrick fucking with him he's not relateable) and Mr. Krabs is basically a straight up villain. They're still funny. And it also has some nice visuals, the animation is great and I particularly think the skylines with the flowers are super cute. And they do a lot of odd things I wasn't expecting like a TON of live action and really surreal junk.

Actually, one of the most surprising parts of the show to me is how WEIRD it is. It's a BIZARRE series. With lots of weird closeups, some INSANELY weird visuals and surreal(?) jokes. To a true SpongeBob fan that's probably a really weird thing to notice but. Idk I just wasn't expecting it to be so random. But it does it well. Like the seahorse episode where randomly for one shot SpongeBob has a mustache and it's never addressed. And the fucking Gorilla. You know the one.

But my favorite kinds of jokes from the series, with pretty much no contest. Is when SpongeBob gets mad at people. When he snaps it creates the best scenes in the series. Like him getting mad at Squidward when he's jobless, or when he cusses out Mr. Krabs when he's crushing on Ms. Puff, or the absolute best and probably my favorite scene in the whole series: LISTEN HERE YOU CRUSTACEOUS CHEAPSKATE!! SQUIDWARDS BEEN LIVING AT MY HOUSE- ect ect. It's so good. And they save it, they don't use it often so when it happens it's out of nowhere and so funny. The show is just so funny and there's very few moments where it's boring or not hitting.

But yeah it's certainly not perfect. I can't remember exact moments but there are some jokes that feel oddly mean spirited or even inappropriate like a few suicide jokes. And sometimes the characters can be so stupid it's nerve-wracking. But it's a kids cartoon that's par for the course lol.

Then there's the movie. This is a whole separate beast. The finale to the series (or at least the first 3 seasons.) And it's pretty much the perfect movie. It keeps all the same funny and chaotic energy. But it's somehow not too over the top, like it's still respectful for the big screen while still being insane. And I of course love stories with big stakes in universes you wouldn't expect and this absolutely delivers. I love Plankton being an ACTUAL threat, and Karen gets some nice jokes here too. I love SpongeBob and Patrick being heroes and actually dealing with some crazy threats. Dennis is cool. The whole premise with the crown and Plan Z is great. And even though the movie is constantly jumping between multiple stories it doesn't feel scattered or weird or poorly paced. It's really well done. And I LOVE that they do some of the different animation styles by actually going to live action places towards the end and even fighting a live action enemy. And the whole scene with the tear of the goofy goober is so sad and so well done. And I love SpongeBob having a real adult problem where he wants to be manager and no one takes him seriously.

But in particular the ending of this movie is so special. SpongeBob realizing that being a kid is fantastic and him gaining insane power from it is so goofy and him becoming a guitar wielding wizard who uses his music to free everyone is SO RANDOM AND CHAOTIC AND SO SPONGEBOB!! And the whole Goofy Goober rock scene just absolutely rules and the speech before hand makes me so emotional. I fucking love this scene it's one of my favorite "final battles" in a movie I guess you could call it. Please watch it if you haven't seen it in a while. It's better than you remember.

And having SpongeBob prove himself and become manager, it's basically the perfect ending. I love it. The series is good, but this movie is perfect. It's the perfect finale. And it's still my favorite SpongeBob thing in the series even now.

But yeah, that's my thoughts on SpongeBob. I honestly never considered that I'd do something like this so this was a real surprise and treat for me. But I loved doing it. SpongeBob is really good and I basically haven't stopped thinking about it. Not helped by the fact it turned out to be the series 25th anniversary this year, so I cannot escape the series at the moment. Idk. SpongeBob was good. I enjoyed this. But I don't think I'll be doing this for any other shows, at least not any time soon. It was all just a delightful coincidence that I had access to all this media without even needing to pirate it all at the same time. But again, I'm glad it happened. Happy Birthday SpongeBob!!

Stardew Valley 20 heart headcannons!

Not trying to complain about the stuff that ConcernedApe has done. Which is incredible by the way I wouldn't even be making this post without how much ConcernedApe has worked on the game over the years but…. HEADCANNON. I REEEEEEEEEALLLLLY wish the heart events in Stardew Valley went up to 20 hearts for romancible characters. (unless there is already a mod that has it and I just haven't found it yet lol)

Like you have the normal 10 hears for non-romanceable characters. Then you have romanceable characters. The highest reasonable level that I know of is level 16. But that's after you get married. I wish that you ask a bachelor/bachelorette to be your boyfriend/girlfriend at level 10 and then you go through the level 10 to level 18 heart events as you are dating. Then you get the blue shell from the mariner and propose to them at level 18 so that you can get to level 20 and be married to them. Like you spend a bunch of time getting to know and befriend them and get a bunch of heart events levels 0 to 10 and then one or two heart events when you are dating them. Idk I'd like it to be more balanced.

Elliott first!

Elliott: 🪶 12 heart event: You go into Elliott's cabin on the days he's playing piano. He's happy to see you. He asks if he can play something for you. You sit next to him on the piano seat and he plays a song. You lean closer to him, and the song ends. He asks you if you like the song (that was beautiful/ I can think of something more beautiful) if you choose option A, he kisses you. If you choose option B you kiss him.

🪶 14 heart event: (same as the canon event) Elliott goes on a book tour to promote his book, he's gone for 8 days then comes back in the morning and sees the player.

🪶 16 heart event: Elliott feels a bit bad for leaving you alone at the farm. So he has a surprise for you. Head to his cabin at 6pm and meet him inside. If you do get there at 6 he has made a candle-lit dinner for you both.

🪶 18 heart event:(Part 1) You go over to Elliott's cabin and he seems to be having a conversation with someone over the phone. Which he was able to get after his book started doing well. He seems upset. After he hangs up he sees you at the door. He looks surprised, he doesn't want you to see him upset. (Who was that?/Are you alright?) Either one gets a response. Elliott was talking on the phone with his mother. Who called him about how proud she and her family are about how well his book is doing. You're a bit confused about why he is upset. He explains that he is upset because his family didn't care about his career before. But now that he's doing well they care a lot. Elliott says that he had thought about inviting them here but he didn't want to spring it suddenly on the farmer. (if you don't mind then neither do I/ you should invite them only if you feel comfortable). Either way, Elliott thanks you for listening to him. He says he'll ask them to come next week.

🪶 (Part 2): Elliott comes over and says that his family is coming tomorrow at 10am via the bus. The farmer meets Elliott at the bus and sees Elliott's parents. After introductions are made Elliott and The farmer show Elliott's parents around town. Meeting people throughout the day and Elliott's friend as well like Leah and Willy. At the end of the day, Elliott's parents say that it was nice to meet the farmer and say that Elliott has been doing very good for himself. They leave on the bus, and Elliott looks a little sad. He says he was hoping for an apology but didn't get one. The player looks a little sad too and gives Elliott a kiss on the forehead. He asks the player if they'd like to come over to his house for a bit because Elliott would like some company. The player agrees and they both head over there.

🪶 20 Heart Event: be home at 10 pm, after a long day of work Elliott and you get ready for bed. You both get into bed as Elliott tells you about how the two of you don't have time to talk at bedtime. Since he's busy with his book and you with the farm/mining/etc. He really enjoys the time he has with you. He asks you if you'd like him to read to you. (Yes I'd love that actually/ I'd actually just love to talk to you.) Either way, you two spend time together until you both fall asleep.

New DELAIN Lineup Plays First Official Dutch Concert

After playing two "secret rehearsal shows" in June and another "tryout" concert on November 2, the new DELAIN lineup performed its first official Dutch gig last night (Friday, November 4) at Hedon in Zwolle.

Joining keyboardist, founder and main songwriter Martijn Westerholt in DELAIN's current lineup are new singer Diana Leah, original guitarist Ronald Landa and original drummer Sander Zoer, along with bassist Ludovico Cioffi.

Earlier today, DELAIN shared a few photos from last night's concert and included the following message: "No words can describe what happened yesterday at Hedon… it was pure magic!

"DELAIN is back in business, and this SOLD OUT show is the ultimate proof! Pure energy and enthusiasm it's what we breathed during our set, and all we needed.

you glanced down at the defender in your lap, her attention solely focused on the show playing in front.

the show was leah’s pick and it didn’t particularly interest you, as you were more focused on the sight before you.

both of you were in bed, leah’s head in your lap, your right laid gently over her side, and leah’s hand was playing with your fingers absentmindedly.

the girl in front of you let out a laugh at something that played on the screen, the sound making your heart skip a beat.

upon hearing your silence, she looked up at you.

leah’s cheeks flushed when she saw you already staring down at her, a loving smile stretched across your face.

“what is it?”

you lean down to kiss her.

“nothing. just my girlfriend is really cute is all.”

leah giggled, and you grinned, leaning down to give her a kiss on the cheek.

you couldn’t help but let out a sigh at how good it felt, having your girlfriend in your arms after not seeing each other for a month.

given the hectic schedule of the olympics, you both wanted to spend as much alone time together as possible.

you both knew that coming out in the midst of big events was a terrible idea, with first the world cup and the olympics following suit.

it wasn’t that you were ashamed of it, it was just that the media could be a lot at times.

and so could your teammates.

the two of you had met during the world cup, leah taking a particular liking to you after seeing you in the semi final match when england played the us.

she then had missed the chance to talk to you, but lucky for her, the next year, following suit with many of your other teammates, you signed internationally, landing a spot as a midfielder for arsenal.

trainings and games brought you closer together, and feelings developed, with both of you realizing quickly that they weren’t platonic.

but it still took an embarrassingly long amount of time.

and jordan couldn’t stand the two of you.

neither could rose, with leah and you both complaining to them, respectively.

even after quarantining with the defender (and jordan) and spending every second of the day with her, it was almost the end of the fixture when you finally mustered up enough courage to ask her out, only for her to beat you to it.

jordan can’t tell if this was better or worse.

on one hand she no longer had to witness the idiocy and obliviousness for days on end, no longer had to hear the desperate pining from both sides, and no longer had to deal with leah having a mental breakdown overanalyzing every text you sent her.

on the other hand, she now had to deal with the sickening cuteness of the two of you, and had unfortunately caught the two of you going at it in the arsenal locker room after practice, before practice, in the shower, and basically everywhere in the house.

rose was in a similar state, though being overseas, she was spared the worst of it.

the two of you had parted ways when national team duty called, leah staying in england and you flying back to the states.

and here, in tokyo, you were together again, and you couldn’t be happier.

it was 11 pm now, the lights were off ,the defender fast asleep and snuggled close into your chest, your arms wrapped around her.

you had the vague thought of getting up to set an alarm for your training tomorrow, but any attempts to get up were squashed by your girlfriend, who at any movement only held onto you tighter.

your heart melted at the sight, but your rational thought knew this was a bad idea.

worst case is that you miss practice.

best case is that you somehow wake up on time naturally.

unfortunately it ended up being worse than that.

you were jolted awake by your phone ringing.

the girl next to you let go of your waist and mumbled sleepily:

“turn it off.”

you stood up and saw rose’s contact name flash and you picked up the phone groggily.

“uh hello? what do you want?”

“HELLO?! WHAT DO YOU MEAN WHAT DO I WANT THE BUS FOR TRAINING IS ABOUT TO LEAVE IN SEVEN MINUTES WHERE ARE YOU?!”

you glance at the clock and the panic sets in.

7:23 am.

fuck.

oh. fuck.

you mutter a “shit” into the receiver before hanging up, glancing over at leah who was fast asleep.

brushing your teeth and putting your hair up quickly, you went around the room grabbing your jersey, jacket, shorts and cleats as you prepared to leave.

but before you left, you leaned over quickly and gave your girlfriend a light kiss on the forehead before rushing out the door.

you sprinted across the street to where the building where the us teams were staying, making it onto the bus quickly and collapsing on the seat next to rose, hoping no one saw where you had came from.

luckily for you most of the team was chatting and preoccupied, except christen who noticed and gave you weird look when you stepped onto the bus.

sam gave you a weird look too when she finished talking to mal.

“when did you come in? why are you still in your pjs? do you even have your kit and training things?”

you decided that saying you overslept was the best excuse.

you could tell sam didn’t quite believe that.

“well why didn’t rose wake you then?”

“um-“

rose cut in and saved you when she said with a shrug:

“it was a prank. i turned off her alarms and thought it would be funny.”

that was slightly more believable, as the younger kids played pranks on each other all the time, so sam let up her questioning.

you turned around on the bus, quickly pulling on your jersey, shorts and socks, all the while hearing a wolf whistle from kelley upon seeing you changing.  

you flipped her off when you finished.

“so where were you-oh,” rose’s eyes widening.

you scrunched your eyebrows in confusion.

“oh?”

rose let out a laugh and pointed to your collarbone.

you looked down and cursed.

there they were in all their glory, two hickies, bright as day.

“fuck this is an open training too.”

you were freaking out.

but thank god for rose.

rose thought about it for a minute before suggesting:

“well it’s kind of cold out today, you can keep your jacket on for the whole training and no one will see.”

“what would i do without you?”

“i dunno die probably.”

arriving at the pitch, you hoped that your hyper-vigilant fans wouldn’t notice anything.

you did make sure to take some pictures with fans on your walk there though.

you noticed walking to the locker room that christen kept giving you weird looks, but you just brushed it off and got your mind set for training.

the open part of practice went well and without issue, except for the odd looks occasionally thrown your way by some of the veteran players.

when closed practice began a little bit later, you asked christen about it.

“why do you all keep giving me weird looks? do i have something on my face?”

christen shook her head, and upon seeing that there was no one around she whispered:

“i’m pretty sure it’s because you have a lionesses crest on your shorts.”

you looked down and gasped.

shit.

she was right.

in your haste this morning you had unknowingly grabbed leah’s shorts instead of your own.

in your defense, with the the english and us home kit both being white and both of you being #14, it was an honest mistake.

but still.

fuck.

so much for keeping it a secret.

christen opened her mouth to say something else, but upon seeing your face decided against it.

besides the one hiccup, the rest of practice went smoothly, and you were on your way back to the locker room when you were stopped by sonnett.

“do you play for england now or something?”

“it was an accident.” you said, shushing her.

all the way back into the locker room emily teased you, so much so that your face couldn’t have been any redder in your life.

you changed as quick as you can, trying to get out of the locker room as fast as you can.

walking out, you stopped abruptly upon seeing your girlfriend in the stands.

“leah? what are you doing here?”

your girlfriend, who looked radiant as always, said with a smile:

“well i was originally going to come bring you your shorts baby.”

“oh you found out about that?” you said sheepishly, a blush crawling up your neck.

leah shook her head and laughed.

“i woke up to us trending on twitter so yeah. did the girls tease you about it?”

you pouted a little nodding a yes, and leah just laughed, cupping your cheek with one hand and smoothing back your flyaways with the other.

at this point some of the chaos crew came out of the locker room looking for you, and upon seeing you and leah, they stood back and watched with wide eyes.

they watched you giggle at something leah said, lindsey making sure to keep a hand firmly closed around emily’s mouth to keep her from speaking.

some of the vets came out to see what the holdup was for, and upon seeing you, they stood back as well.

sam whispered quietly:

“are they flirting?”

“i think?” lindsey whispered back.

“it sure looks like it..”

christen shook her head.

the gears clicked into place in christen’s mind quickly, first with the hotel this morning, then with the shorts, and now this.

“i think they’re dating.”

emily’s eyes bugged out of her head and she finally ripped lindsey’s hand off.

“they’re WHAT??!”

this caused you and leah to turn, cheeks flushing when you see the majority of the team there, watching.

then they all started screaming at once.

“come introduce us to your girlfriend y/n!”

“hi leah!”

“WAIT CAN I GIVE HER THE SHOVEL TALK??!”

“I’M YOUR BEST FRIEND Y/N I SHOULD DO IT!”

“NO IF ANYONE DOES IT SHOULD BE ME I’M HER TEAM MOM”

you turned back to leah as the rest of the team quarreled.

“well since they’ve seen us already, let’s formally introduce you to the team.”

you stuck your hand out and said:

“come on. i’ll catch you.”

leah let out a laugh and took your hand, jumping down from the stands.

meeting the team wasn’t as bad as it could have been, partially because vlatko called sonnett away, but at the end you were both glad you had done it.

leah intertwined her fingers with yours as you walked across the field to the bus.

“i do have to admit my shorts look good on you.”

you looked at her and winked.

“maybe i’ll wear them on purpose next time.”

Elliott is King, and man people are doing him a disservice. His 14-heart event was just so sweet, and funny, his preparation dialogue the day before he leaves is made me smile, with all the letters, and the crab cakes, and people out here dissing him bc they think he's "too arrogant" or smth. yes!! i loved the 14 heart event so much. especially the letter near the end where he writes poetry for the farmer. i actually think i made a post about that lol.

can elliott even be called arrogant? sure he’s a bit dramatic and he’d probably be a bit pretentious but i love him regardless of that. his shack is the definition of being humbled though. leah has a fireplace and living plants in her cottage, this man has literally nothing.

These are the prompts we’ve received so far.

Prompt 4: Trope: Jealousy Katniss. Modern AU Katniss Everdeen sees his ex boyfriend as the date of one of her coworkers in the company party. She shouldn’t care, because she broke with him, one year ago and still.... when their song plays, against her better judgements, she finds herself dancing with him. Prompt 5: Peeta and Katniss were both rescued in the arena and Peeta shares a bunk in D13 with Finnick - Finnick was sleeping and Peeta and Katniss doesn't see him there in the dark hours while they are tangled in lust and desire - either when everlark is doing it and realizes finnick is there or maybe finnicks POV as he is listening silently or even telling Johanna about it the next day - maybe he even stops them mid fuck with a snide sarcastic remark it's up to you [submitted by anonymous]

Prompt 6: Modern AU. High School or College Everlark. Make the “booth Kiss” but Everlark! Peeta is the big brother of Katniss best friend, and she never imagined rule number #9 would become a problem. “Rule #9: Relatives of your best friend are off-limits.” [submitted by @alwayseverlark]

Prompt 7: Prompt: Butthurt emotionally immature Peeta acts the asshat manwhore around Katniss when, in misinterpreting her, he believes that she thinks he’s not good enough for her. [submitted by @567inpanem]

Prompt 8: Age gap. Peeta and Katniss are cast as the romantic leads in a show (tv, film, stage, or even a commercial). Of course they cast someone half his age. Peeta can’t help falling for her anyway. [submitted by @567inpanem]

Prompt 9: Canon-Divergent/ In Panem D12 “I waited for you” he said but she dint’t reply. He pressed for an answer he knew he deserved, “under the rain, Katniss. I waited for you, under the rain... why would you do that?” / “I can’t do this anymore, Peeta” / “Bullshit, you can but you just don’t want. I thought you were brave!” he yelled at her looking for any reaction that will give some hope. His tears threatening to run down his face. / She didn’t move, and she didn’t correct her, so he ran away and slammed the door behind him. / “I love you” Katniss said to an empty room. Prompt 10: Canon Divergent. When Peeta is rescued from the Capitol and brought to D13, he’s forgotten everything related to Katniss. The Capitol has erased his memories: no Valley Song, no bread, no games, ... nothing. It’s the perfect opportunity for Katniss to let it go, it’s what every tells her... but she still kisses his pearl goodnight. [submitted by @alwayseverlark]

Prompt 11: Prim is marrying before starting her dream job as a pediatric surgeon in another district. 30-something Katniss is proud, thrilled, and yet bereft when her entire life was lived for Prim. She’s never even dated. Has Peeta been waiting for this moment to make his move? Or do they meet at the wedding? Or when her friend drags Katniss out of her slump to a party or on a wild vacation after convincing her to quit her jobs and start a new life? [submitted by @567inpanem]

Prompt 12: Fae Katniss. She’s been with him his entire life, so Peeta simply accepted that no one else could see her, thought other people had their own Katniss. She’d been called his imaginary friend and later a crutch, a figment of his imagination, a delusion. Dr. A asks him to make a “real” friend, ignore Katniss, try going on a date. Prompt 13: Katniss is “just one of the guys” and the only girl in school who’s never been asked for a date by any of these guys. One day she’s “discovered” by a modeling agency and whisked to the Capital. She returns 3-months later with a new look, new found confidence, and cash. Prompt 14: Peeta is 17 when it comes out the only thing his mother ever cooked was the books; he loses his home, his family, his roll in the community. Katniss is 17 when she loses her only reason for living. What brings them together? How do they help each other survive? What forces work against them? Prompt 15: 16-yr-old Peeta’s family moves away. 10 years later he returns and buys a foreclosed upon fixer-upper. When does he learn it belonged to Katniss’s family? She still lives there and hides from him, observes him, haunts him, and ruins all his romantic dates when he’s trying to impress women by making them dinner. Does she learn all she needs to know about him and fall in love before he discovers she’s real and living with him and the one who’s been ruining his love life? [submitted by @567inpanem]

Prompt 16: canon divergent, arranged marriage. Many, many years after the rebellion, old victor and mockingjay Haymitch living alone finally starts accepting help, hires teenagers Katniss to bring him liquor and pick up packages and Peeta to bring food and do some chores. The old man sees how the 2 could be good for each other, and being strategic, manipulative, and an old romantic fool with regrets over “the one that got away,” he writes a will leaving his huge fortune to Peeta and Katniss on the condition they have a big romantic wedding within 30 days and live in his mansion caring for his Effie Rose Garden (“Creamy buds unfurl to reveal a memorable heart of buttery yellow, dusty apricot and zesty orange. From a cupped bloom, Rose Effie gradually opens to a perfect rosette, showcasing her splendor.”) And geese.  [submitted by @567inpanem]

Prompt 17: AU, supernatural. “The Monkey's Paw" retelling - 3 wishes are granted (to the owner of the monkey's paw, either Katniss or Peeta) but the wishes come with an enormous price for interfering with fate. Will the last wish make things right? [submitted by @567inpanem]

Prompt 18: enemies to lovers. Katniss ruins Peeta’s relationship or his shot with a super hot woman. Peeta ruins Katniss’s shot at great job or security with potential fiancé. Other series of embarrassments and cockblocking type events? Will they start sabotaging each other for revenge? Prompt 19: based loosely on retelling of biblical Jacob and wives Rachel and Leah in that polygamist Peeta is husband to both Katniss and Prim. [submitted by @567inpanem]

Prompt 20: Peeta works in ER or long-term care facility. Katniss called in from next-of-kin list and has to decide whether to pull the plug on Prim. They argue over value and meaning of life, over spiritual beliefs and doubts of afterlife, over everything. What will she do? Prompt 21: Graduating senior Katniss finally accepts an invitation to one of Madge’s wild, unsupervised parties completely unprepared for what goes on in them. Everyone at the party notices her for different reasons from jealousy over the way she looks to suspicion that she’s going to tell parents about the activities to desire to ruin her good girl reputation. Prompt 22: Their creative writing assignment is to write a short story or poem and to illustrate it as a sketch, painting, animation, with puppets, anything goes. Classmates Katniss and Peeta base their works on the exact same shared experience! (such as the burnt bread, the dandelion, the meadow at sunset, something else entirely). Reaction? People think one of them copied the idea off the other or that they worked together. But Katniss and Peeta realize that the other one remembers, and it meant something to them, too! Prompt 23: social media type craziness enemies to lovers. Katniss and Peeta each host a YouTube channel rapidly growing in popularity, Peeta focuses on baking and Katniss on wild game cooking, a competition for audience share becomes personal after they both bake a meat pie recipe, viewers begin to rabidly support their favorite or to ship them together hard, they start to hate each other without ever meeting, maybe they get forced into interacting for a charity benefit, things get ugly, maybe one or both has significant other who react badly to the shipping hype? Prompt 24: While no one expected Katniss to show up to graduation right after her mother passed away and her sister died, they were surprised that she disappeared completely, and even more stunned when she reappeared years later to claim the town’s only apothecary as the last living family member. What compels her to take it over? Where has she been? What kind of welcome does she get? How does she feel about returning and about town life? What’s been going on with Peeta, is he the baker, is he single, a dad, how’s he been all these years? Will talking with him be awkward? Has he changed? Who has Katniss become? Prompt 25: Katniss is the new girl at this school, transferred to get a better education. Everything about her is alluring, even more so because she doesn’t see the effect she has. Seems everyone is in a clique. She learns that some people are mean and compete like it’s a fight to the death. Economic disaster, no jobs; eventually in desperation someone in the group suggests making a porno for $, the idea takes off, as they work on a script and put out ideas, alot becomes clear, like who has kinks, who has tried a lot, and that one is an inexperienced virgin. Does the writing experience have consequences to the group dynamic, will they actually film and sell it, will they stay friends? Are any couples or siblings part of the group?
