4 years late to the party playing FFVII Remake, and I have meta theories and shit, but I want to avoid spoilers for Rebirth, since I haven't started it, so this is a completely content-free post, but... Have you noticed Barret doing that little hip tilt? He's buffer than my usual type, but then he does this little hip tilt, very subtle, and I'm like, Well, hello, don't you have a neat little waist, darling. Look how nicely those cargo pants are tailored around your hips... Also Barret is a good father, and I lowkey find that attractive. And his sorta bashful post-victory dialog is kind of adorable. What the fuck, Remake Project, are you giving me the hots for Barret? How dare you.

Years ago, I was in a supermarket wearing a Cancer shirt, and someone sailed past me so quickly I didn't even see them and said "hi karkat!" with exactly that energy. It shames me that I had no part of that monologue ready to go.

i can think of very few plot points of homestuck that were not hilarious. like the trolls can talk to the kids at any points in their timeline, but first time karkat talks to john he embarrasses himself so badly that he refuses to talk to john at any point in time prior to that. so he continuously talks to john earlier and earlier in the timeline, and john never knows what he’s talking about because all of the conversations he’s had with karkat were from his future. and from john’s perspective, karkat knows less and less of what he’s talking about as he moves forward in time, bc he’s only ever talking to younger versions of him. this is the exact level of intricacy almost all of the plot points operate on 

and the payoff of finally getting to see the first conversation karkat ever had with john is like

Honestly I feel like both sides are in the wrong somewhat, though Viv much moreso. I do wonder why the LD team rejected Viv's donation, and that does seem a bit petty—that 5k could have helped LD. However, Viv blathering about it on social media when Tracy told her about it in private is extremely petty and vindictive on her part.

Lackadaisy made over two million dollars. They don't need Vivzie's help, or want it, and so they declined in the absolute most polite way possible. And good for them for doing so.

Actually did make a friend that way in college once. Someone warned them about the freak in thus-and-such-hall and they were like "hey, I like freaks" and came and introduced themselves.

I think the only way to get dates on places like tinder as a straight man would be to make a profile that's so supremely weird in a way that's distinctly and genuinely yourself, but in a way that's completely outlandishly formatted - not toned down and presentable, but toned up, and proudly presented - that some woman in your area going through their Tinder feed will take a screenshot of your profile and post it online somewhere with a caption like "why are the dudes in my area so fucking weird", as a lament for herself.

Which - ideally, if you've really gotten the right vibe into the wtf:ness of your profile - would prompt at least 3 people to go "I mean if you don't want him, I do", and go figure out who you are, and send you a message going "hey is that actually you in your profile picture, posing shirtless in front of your massive Gundam collection?" And that's how you start chatting with people you don't need to hide your Gundam collection from.

It's better to be known for bold sincerity and cringe, than to never be known at all.

Odin: They both get on my nerves from time to time. I’m sure the Lord of Light doesn’t intend it, he’s the one with the moral high ground. But it does occasionally come at the price of people chickening out of riding Oblivion. However it’s the Lord of Darkness who’s the instigator. Sometime’s I just want to shut them both up. But physically they reside in a place I’d much not rather go on the daily, so I SUPPOSE I can live with it....

Dems Accuse Trump of “Glorifying White Supremacy” by Visiting Mt. Rushmore

It’s official: The Democratic Party has gone completely off the rails. We know, we know, that’s not news to anyone reading this right now. But there’s off the rails…and then there’s OFF THE RAILS. It is a Code Red emergency inside the Democratic National Committee right now, and we’re not sure if anyone in the party actually understands just how diseased the whole apparatus has become. These imbeciles have – whether because of true ideology or a cynical attempt to suck up to the Black Lives Matter/Progressive Left – abandoned even the pretense of sanity.

On Monday, @TheDemocrats, the official Twitter account of the DNC, tweeted out this beauty about Trump’s upcoming visit to Mt. Rushmore: “Trump has disrespected Native communities time and again. He’s attempted to limit their voting rights and blocked critical pandemic relief. Now he’s holding a rally glorifying white supremacy at Mount Rushmore- a region once sacred to tribal communities.”

There is apparently at least one adult left in the building, because the tweet was subsequently deleted. But the fact that it was ever sent at all – that it was ever even conceived – is a damning glimpse into just how maniacal the modern left has become. Celebrating Abraham Lincoln, George Washington, Teddy Roosevelt, and Thomas Jefferson is akin to “glorifying white supremacy” now? Was this written by a member of the Democratic Party or a teenager hoping to join Antifa? Is there any difference anymore?

“All the Republicans have to do is run on a ‘Hey, at least we’re not the Democrats’ platform,” tweeted Dave Rubin.

For real. Everyone was blathering on about how Trump didn’t have an answer when Sean Hannity asked him about his platform for his second term, but why should he bother coming up with such a thing? Trump had to run a proactive, fight-from-behind campaign the first time around. He was the underdog.

This time? He might be better off just sitting back and letting the Democratic Party hang themselves with their own rope. We will never be convinced that a majority of voting Americans actually buy into this pure nonsense currently passing for social justice. Tearing down statues, defunding police, and acting as though the plight of “black transgender women” is somehow the defining issue of our times? Come on.

Black Republican Senator Rips the Mask off the Left's Racism

It would be nice to live in a world where we don’t have to mention whether a certain politician is black, white, or purple, but in today’s racially-charged atmosphere, we’re certainly happy to have at least one black Republican who can tell it like it is.

Lost in all the phony outrage over Jeff Sessions and the phony feminist blather over Elizabeth Warren was a remarkable Senate floor speech by South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott. Standing up to defend Sessions’s reputation in the face of an outrageous onslaught from Democrats, Scott read some of the hate mail he has gotten for, you know, betraying the bruthas.

“If you sign up to be a black conservative, the chances are very high you will be attacked,” Scott said. “It comes with the territory, and I’ve had it for 20 years, two decades. But my friends and my staff, they’re not used to the level of animus that comes in from the liberal left that suggests that I somehow am not helpful to the cause of liberal America and therefore I am not helpful to black America.”

He read out some of the disgraceful insults thrown at him on social media.

“You are an Uncle Tom, Scott. You’re for Sessions. How does a black man turn on his own,” Scott read. “Tim Scott doesn’t have a shred of honor. He’s a House Negro like the one in ‘Django.’”

Scott noted that he was censoring much of what had poured into his Twitter feed.

“I left out all the ones that used the n-word,” he said. “I just felt like that would not be appropriate.”

Scott said he’d come to realize that liberals had a funny definition of the word tolerance.

“What I’m surprised by just a smidgen,” he said, “is that the liberal left that speaks and desires for all of us to be tolerant do not want to be tolerant of anyone that disagrees with where they are coming from. I just wish that my friends who call themselves liberals would want tolerance for all Americans, including conservative Americans.”

That, of course, is never going to happen. Liberals use words like tolerance and acceptance and open-mindedness as weapons. They’ve turned those concepts into propaganda. Oh, you don’t see the world like we do? You must be a bigot. That’s why they reach peak fury when they come across a black conservative. By their very existence, people like Tim Scott nullify the only argument most liberals can ever come up with. How frustrating!

Is there a symbol, other than real-world religious symbols, that would say "healer" to you if you saw it on a shop sign in a fantasy world?
