Thoughts & Theories for Season 5/Canto 7
Spoilers inbound!
Fully expect us to get Bloodfiend/Bloodfiend Hunter IDs this season. There's just no way that doesn't happen.
In that same vein i fully suspect this season to be the season of bleed in the same way Season 3 was the Season of Poise and Season 4 was the Season of Sinking.
Pretty much everyone called Carmilla as the big showcase Abno/E.G.O for this season, no surprise there. Not sure what the other Abnos could be tho
If you put a gun to my head I guess I would say Paper Chairman & Will You Play? But I'm just throwing darts here.
Story theories that's hard to say just cause most of my Don Quixote knowledge is what other people have said plus PM's are really good cooks.
That said I hope a core theme/conflict is "which Don is the true Don" for lack of a better word. I can imagine a scenario where the Old Bloodfiends are trying to convince Don to "return home to her family" while Don herself wants to stay as she is. Add in the Distortion Bloodfiends making the situation way more complicated and possibly a scenario where Don looses Roscinante in some way .
Just a general vibe of "family conflict" and Don having to accept she's both the Bloodfiend and the Fixer if that makes any sense

Match Review: Manchester United Women 0-0 Aston Villa Women
SKINNERRRRRRRR.
Three wins to open United's WSL campaign, followed by three draws against plucky Brighton, the better Arsenal, and now the lowly Villa. Come on, dude.
In the absence of the injured Lisa Naalsund, Skinner opted away from the steady but unimaginative midfield pairing of Naalsund and Janssen and went to Clinton and Janssen, with Toone in CAM. The BBC had this as a 4-4-1-1 formation, which maybe it was but maybe not. Malard and Bizet at LM/RM or LW/RW? I wonder what's more likely.
The stats concur with what the video footage below says: United were lucky not to lose. Poor in possession, sub-par passing accuracy, and as such very few chances created.
Phallon Tullis-Joyce made some good saves and continued her good start to the season and kept United in the match. She made mistakes in some of her passing though, as did Maya Le Tissier and Celin Bizet. Ella Toone had some good attempts on goal, and Melvine Malard looked lively and spearheaded a lot of United's best attacking play. Bizet was solid in that regard too, but Geyse currently looks the better option; lively and direct, difficult to handle. It might be rotation time, see if that fires United up to start banging in goals.
Now, here's what annoyed me, and my points are directed to manager Marc Skinner:
Janssen is a CB first, and a DM second. She should be LCB over Millie Turner. She's almost as tall, perfectly strong for the role, and has much better ball control. If you want a DM, use Hayley Ladd ffs.
You also have Simi Awujo just waiting, if you don't trust Ladd / want to force her out (which if true is stupid)
You have the excellent Hinata Miyazawa and an average Ella Toone (based on present form). Whether that's the positional tinkering to rotate her and Grace, or related to her bereavement, or just a poor patch of form - bench her. Rest her. Rotate her out.
5 substitutes available and we use just 4. Emma Watson could have added something to midfield and we take Terland off and go big for Rach Williams.
4-4-2 isn't bad, but it's more defensive, and we're at home to a struggling side.
FREE HAYLEY LADD.
So yeah, boring game that pissed off players, fans, and pundits alike. The only ONLY solace is now it has people looking at Marc Skinner's performance just like they did with Jonas. About time.
Next up: Leicester City away next Sunday, 3pm kick off.

A Day in the Life
Someone recently asked me how we manage it all - three travel sports, work, piano, house stuff, etc. I didn’t really have an answer; we just do it the best we can and know that we are trying our hardest to give the kids opportunities.
Today was a busy day. So, to give an inside look at what a typical weekend day looks like, here you go.
610am - Alarm.
621am - Shower.
635am - Wake up Garrett.
645am - Breakfast.
656am - Ready to leave.
720am - Hitting in the cage.
803am - First pitch v LCB Legends Black (Advanced Division team).
1009am - Game over. Total gets whacked pretty good, but Garrett catches all 6 innings and plays really well.
1020am - Head to teammate Parker’s house for team party.
1130am - Whiffle ball, lunch, water balloon fights, etc.
1215pm - Trying to rest a little before Game 2. Other teammates not interested.
1250pm - Quick team photo before heading back to the field.
110pm - Back at baseball field. Warm-up.
2pm - Game before us has gone to extra innings. Waiting patiently.
223pm - Game 2 underway v South Lyon Thunder Red (Advanced Division team).
304pm - The game is already getting out of hand and Total is down 9-0. Coach debates not “wasting Garrett” at pitcher in a game we clearly aren’t going to win, but decides to give him one inning. G does a great job, though his defense lets him down a bit. 2K, 1ER.
348pm - Game 2 is over; Total mercied after 4 innings.
415pm - Back home. Quick bite to eat. Shower #2.
5pm - On the road to Chelsea for Kendall’s last soccer game of the season.
545pm - Warm-ups.
612pm - Kick off. The Reign seize control early, scoring 4 in the first half. Kendall plays great - possibly her best game of the year.
735pm - Game over. Reign win, 5-1. After not winning a league game in the fall, they currently sit tied for first in their division for the spring.
740pm - Congrats to all players, a quick speech from Coach about the season, and one last team photo.
758pm - Ice cream in downtown Chelsea with the soccer team (and little brothers).
820pm - Back on the road, headed for home.
9pm - Home. Brush teeth, get ready for bed. Garrett’s next game is tomorrow morning at 8am - arrive at 7am.
Tired, sunburned, and thankful. 😬
Just another day in the life.

2022 Preseason Game #3 vs Minnesota Vikings
Hawk Valley Preseason Game #3 August 27, 2022, 7 PM MST
Preseason Schedule
August 13, Cowboys @ 7 PM MDT, W Denver 17-7
August 20, @Bills @ 11 AM MDT, L Bills 42-15
August 27, Vikings @ 7 PM MDT
You've met the new owners and the new coaches... but before we learn about the starters, lets review what happened this week.
During the week
This coach has said he hates the preseason and has stated he won’t play his starters, but the Buffalo game was the second to last preseason game, which is when teams typically play their best preseason football. The team was flat, indifferent and generally unaware their was a football game going on. This is why, after the Buffalo game, the media decided to rip the new coach apart. On Friday, it was reported, that the coach was close to losing his voice. Hopefully that means that he was imparting football knowledge to the players.
I doubt this new coach is familiar with the AFC West. This preseason, the Raiders are at the top of the division. They have outscored the Bronco’s offense by 36 points last time I checked. The Chiefs have outscored the Broncos by 23 points. The Chargers have outscored the Broncos by 8. The most explosive quarter for the Broncos so far has been the second quarter. This preseason they’ve scored 20 points in the quarter. The bad news is that the opponents have scored 21. In the Buffalo game the Broncos traded touchdowns for field goals. All of these things need to change in the regular season.
Since this coach won’t play the starting offense on the field during the preseason, you could say there’s even more pressure on the offense to come out of the gate with fireworks. They will be injury free, they haven’t played. Do they know the playbook? Nobody knows. Are they in game shape? Nobody knows. Their first opponent of the regular season, the Seahawks did play their ‘starters’. They learned that the x-Bronco quarterback Drew Lock will not start for them this season. In his final game of the preseason, he threw 3 interceptions and one touchdown. I’m sure this is really disappointing for Broncos fans, as many were expecting game 1 to be Lock vs Wilson.

Lineup Lamentations - GW5
Our Transfers, Captains, and Starting 11s for the week!
—
WALSH
TRANSFERS:
OUT: Laporte - rip
IN: Otamendi - god help me
Unfortunately I was unable to save off the back of the WC which never feels great, but hopefully making a lateral swap here which frees up 1m to boot.
I don't really imagine this going well, since I have slated Ota for a while, and think he's more or less a red card shout / absolute shit house player generally speaking, but here we are.
If it's a transfer waiting to happen, so be it, but the bottom line is I still want a share in City's defense, I don't trust Everton for cleans still, and something didn't feel quite right going all the way down to a Burnley guy in a spot on my team which I realistically need to start week in week out... Until Pep shows us that he is willing to play anyone not named Otamendi as the LCB with Laporte out then I will just hope and pray he doesn't kill anyone (which would thus kill himself with a ban) and doesn't die. Whatever. Cue Dinho and Schtones at CB tomorrow.
Post international break GW is usually a complete disaster crisis gameweek so I am just simply trying to brace myself for it ahead of time.
GK:
Pope (bha)
Pope is looking good in this moment with the good run of fixtures incoming. He's been just a bit below average with only one return through four but the underlying metrics are looking good for him and hopefully he's just a long term hold guy I don't have to worry about.
DEF:
Alexander-Arnold & Robertson (NEW)
Trent and Robbo with the home banker okay lets go Livp. Early game so much of my mood for the ensuing foots will be decided by these boys. Realistically a win to nil at home against a bad bus feels like a reasonable expectation for this one so hopefully it comes to fruition.
Otamendi (nor)
New nightmare Ota is straight in, obv. Somewhat tricky away fixture for a clean but it's still City so he'll just be an auto start every game until I remove him.
Lundstram (SOU)
Finally, Lundstram gets his first go in my squad home to Soton.
I'm going to be rotating him in and out over the near term so we'll see if this is the beginning of something beautiful between us or the beginning of a fraught relationship that will lead to me hating him for the rest of my life. Time will tell.
MID:
Salah (NEW) & Sterling & De Bruyne (nor)
The trio of Mo Raz and Kev remain and likely will do for some time. Really nothing to say about these three other than they are good. Spots I don't really need to think about at this time.
McGinn (WHU)
Rounding out midfield is someone who is not really that good in McGinn.
Good home fixture with West Ham rolling up so hopefully he is able to get in there. If he looks bad and/or they look bad then I might fuck him off.
He's on a short leash, that's for sure, as he was really the one shit place I compromised on my WC team since I wanted to plump for Laporte... With that money freed up now, no other problems in my team, and a new price bracket open to me... I might fuck him off even if he does return. Who is to say?
FWD:
Pukki (MCI) & Haller (avl)
Pukki and Haller the two amigos seem like just a couple great value picks and happy to have them.
Great fixture for Haller and he might slowly but surely present himself as a long term hold. Stats and eye test are there with him not to mention the price is right - think he's a really tidy option.
Pukki has a tough fixture but as Farke showed us the lightning and thunder in GW1 at Anfield who knows what's what with them. Obviously they are completely decimated by injury, but I need to see multiple bad attacking performances before I begin to worry here.
CAP:
Sterling (nor)
Going back to the Raz well again. Fool me once, shame on me, fool me twice, fucking hell fuck me.
Still don't feel confident enough capping Kevin over Raz, and probably won't do all season, if I'm being honest here.
I think Norwich with no fit defensive players (Farke's words, not mine) and the style they employ is not a comparable fixture to a Newcastle bus so I didn't really think about Mo this weekend.
Counting on Raz to not have 0 shot attempts again this week. Obviously the trip to Ukraine midweek for UCL is a thing that is happening, but whatever.
Trying to predict how Pep hands out minutes is like (insert funny thing here) and I don't really want to find some psychological line to talk me into Raz will play 53 minutes only to see him haul and play 88.
Been there before, not trying to go there again.
—
ALON
TRANSFERS:
OUT: Deulofeu
IN: Che Adams
Gerry dropped all the way down to 6.2 so there was a relatively small and unimpressive pool of dudes for me to choose from for this punty spot in my team.
Realistically this is a one or maybe two week punt before I pop my Wildcard next week or the week after... Che has actually insanely good expected stats which is nothing to scoff at even though the goals have not flowed at all...
The greater skill to have and the harder skill to find is to keep getting off the high xG shots rather then to be finishing at a higher rate above your xG, if that makes sense... I hope I’ve worded that clearly...
Anyway, TLDR: Che is doing stuff, Southampton are an attacking team in an attacking setup, Ralph is good I like Ralph, and Soton have the fixtures over the next two. And that’s why I went Che.
COME ON CHE!!!
GK:
Ederson (nor)
City gotta clean their shit up a bit if they’re gonna be a 20+ cleans type of dominant force again this season but yeah of course I back them to do exactly that.
Eddy’s been mostly really good this season and I feel comfy with him.
DEF:
van Dijk (NEW)
It’s time for rotation to begin for the top teams... feels good to have the safety of VVD who is a rock. And this clean should be straightforward for Liverpool.
Digne (bou)
I’m a little nervy about Everton’s defending and their ability to limit good chances... Digne kinda papers over the cracks with his terrific attacking output, but if they start looking like cleans are going to be a rarity this season then even his attacking numbers will not make him worth the 6.0+ million.
Maitland-Niles (wat)
Ainsley AKA Ashley was rightfully so very deep on my bench for liv TOT and he put up one pointers in each of those so we’re fine.
In his two starts for me (GW1 and 2) he got twelve and two puntos respectively so he’s still been a sneaky great guy for me thus far... Arsenal’s very long very good run of fixtures starts now but Bellerin also is coming back soon so time is running out.
Hoping Arsenal can do a job and keep out the Quique Sanchez Flores bus this week and maybe he’ll sneak another attacking return. Come on Ashley.
Emerson (wol)
Starting Emmy here because Wolves suck at attacking and Chelsea could still keep a clean and Emerson could still get an attacking return who knows?
Rudi looks like he’s back this week which is a huge upgrade and Kante will be back soon which is another huge upgrade but yeah, not feeling great about this pick.
Also Emerson’s injury news doesn’t look great for me but if he doesn’t play I have Söy coming in in a cleanable fixture at Old Trafford so not too bad.
MID:
Salah (NEW) & Sterling & De Bruyne (nor)
Doing the trendy thing and just grouping these sexy fucks together because they’re all awesome and they have good fixtures and that’s all you need to know about that.
Mount (wol)
Everyone knows the deal with Mount. Looks great, takes a lot of shots, presses like a maniac, on frees and corners, it’s just good stuff. At his price it’s just good.
FWD:
Pukki (MCI)
Pukki in a yikes fixture here we go... Norwich are so fucked up and injured I don’t know I definitely don’t expect any points here but maybe they get one or two good counters or maybe Pukki takes a pen or something. He’s good enough to roll out there, for sure.
Adams (shu)
I said all I needed to say about lord Che in the transfers section.
CAP:
De Bruyne (nor)
I guess everyone has Sterling and a lot of people have Kun and understandably they’re garnering most of the captaincies that I’m seeing around the block.
Kevin, for me, so far this season is on a completely new level that we haven’t really seen from him before. His expected stats are out of control and he’s also got the seventh highest Fantasy Goal Involvement percentage of all mids at 54% which is craaaazy high for a team like City.
For what it’s worth too in the past Pep has rode Kevin like a horse in the league and he’s not really ever been a rotation risk. I feel ~some~ percent safer of him starting these kinds of games before UCL then I do with the forwards.
Come on Kev treat me.

RANDOM SLACKER OF THE WEEK: GNAR
The words of Random Slacker are not officially endorsed by this website nor any employees of FML FPL LLC.
TRANSFERS:
OUT: Laporte
IN: Otamendi
I don’t feel like I have too much choice in who to take out this week. Laporte having knee surgery and set to miss the rest of 2019 means he’s an absolute no brainer to axe.
Who to replace him with is a much more interesting question.
I’ve been playing 5 at the back all season and it hasn’t worked out as well as I’d hoped so far. But I do feel like I’ve been unlucky with Laporte’s injury and his missed clean sheet being the icing on the cake.
If I went for a cheapo like Lundstram, there aren’t many midfielders I’d be desperate to bring in with the spare cash, apart from KDB, who is out of my reach anyway. So I’ll be continuing my Heavy D strategy, bringing in Otamendi, who is 5.4 and nailed on in a top 2 defence.
GK:
Leno (wat)
New manager for Watford, so an inevitable new manager bounce.
I have Heaton (WHU) as a rotation option, but the odds point to Leno for the clean sheet, although it’s quite marginal.
DEF:
Digne (bou)
I didn’t watch their 3-2 victory against Wolves but I heard Digne looked defensively dodgy. I did watch their 2-0 defeat to Villa the previous week, and while Everton looked completely toothless and unconvincing, Digne at least offered a bit of attacking threat. I’m not expecting a clean sheet here, but Digne has 9 chances created this season. For a defender, that’s second only to…
Alexander-Arnold (NEW)
14 chances created – 14, compared to Digne’s 9; Trent absolutely wipes the floor.
I took a hit last week to upgrade VVD to Trent and I got an immediate positive net return from it. As well as his excellent attacking prospects, Liverpool also have the best clean sheet odds this week by quite a distance.
Robertson (NEW)
Very good chance of a clean sheet this week and although he’s no Alexander-Arnold, he also offers a very good goal threat.
Maybe I’m guilty of picking and choosing stats here, but out of defenders, Robertson’s 2nd for touches in the box this season (12), which is quite a biggie for me when assessing players’ attacking potential.
Otamendi & Zinchenko (nor)
Welcome to the team, Ota.
With Laporte injured, I expect Ota to nail down a place in the first team. Enough said.
Zinchenko has a bit of a Mendy threat looming, but I’ll cross that bridge when I come to it. For now, another well priced Man City defender who will trickle points as long as he starts. Lacks the explosiveness of KDB (yeah he’s explosive now) or Aguero, but for 5.5, I’ll take a 6 pointer every 2 weeks for sure.
MID:
Salah (NEW) & Sterling (nor)
Grouping these two together because there’s just not that much to say. The two best players in the game don’t need writing about, especially when their fixtures are as easy as this. The only question is which one to captain.
Mount (wol)
14 shots in total this season, 7 on target, both are the highest of any other midfielder. But with only 5 of those shots coming from inside the box and an xG of 0.82, perhaps he’s a bit opportunistic and has been a bit fortunate.
Mount still feels like a bit of an unknown quantity to me and I haven’t watched too much Chelsea this season, but he’s well priced and there are plenty of other options in his bracket, so happy to see how he gets on over the next few.
FWD:
Jota (CHE)
I always like to plan my ideal transfers a few weeks ahead.
Before the last gameweek started, I was planning Jota to Barnes. Unfortunately Laporte got injured, so my priority changed and Jota stays with me for one more week. And Barnes is now injured anyway, so maybe it’s a blessing in disguise.
Jota is a funny one. He’s scoring for fun in the Europa League, but looking absolute garbage the following Sunday in the Premier League. He was in the squad, but played 0 minutes in Portugal’s 2 games over the IB. I feel like Jota might redeem himself.
Pukki (MCI)
The main man for Norwich.
If they score, there’s a very good chance that Pukki will be involved.
As an Ota + Zinc owner though I’m kind of hoping they don’t.
CAP:
Salah (NEW)
A real coin toss.
Salah and Sterling are both fantastic options this week, like they are every week.
So far, every gameweek I’ve picked the lowest scoring one out of the two. In week 3, I went against my instinct and went for Raz over Mo, which backfired. This week, my instinct is telling me Mo so I’m just going with it.

NFC East Positional Power Rankings - Outside Cornerback
Sorry for the delay on this article, but the NFC East is truly PACKED with mediocre to decent cornerbacks and it was tough to sort them. To assist with this task, I have split the CB post into outside CBs and slot CBs. Here are the outside ones.
If you’ve been watching too much baseball to keep up with BGN, please check out the archives below to see how other positions have stacked up in the NFC East.
Archive: QB | RB | WR | TE | OT | OG | C | S
2018 Stats: 71 Tgt - 41 Rec | 418 Yds - 3 TD - 1 INT | 86.5 Coverage Rating PFF Grade: 70.6 Key Stat: With just 5.4 Coverage Snaps per Target, Darby is thrown at more often than all but 7 NFL cornerbacks
A lot of Eagles fans seemed ready to wish Darby a fair adieu, and I simply do not understand why. When healthy - which is a big “when”, I’ll give you that - Darby is an above-average cornerback, at worst. 2018 was far and away his worst season in coverage, and, in my opinion, at least, it was an obvious outlier likely due to injury. Darby leads not only all Philadelphia CBs, but also all NFC East CBs in these power rankings.
2018 Stats: 69 Tgt - 37 Rec | 481 Yds - 2 TD - 0 INT | 85.5 Coverage Rating PFF Grade: 83.1 Key Stat: 59 Tackles led the CBs of the NFC East last year
I remember when Byron Jones was a draft prospect, many headlines used phrases like “Athletic Freak” due to his seemingly super-human physical abilities. Fast forward a few years, and Jones has lived up to the billing. He plays almost every snap on defense and is frequently found on the field in special teams situations, too. He was one of the better pass defenders among CBs in the division, yet he also was regularly making plays in the running game as well. His versatility is something special and he’s a good player for Dallas.
3. Avonte Maddox - LCB - Philadelphia Eagles
2018 Stats: 33 Tgt - 18 Rec | 218 Yds - 1 TD - 2 INT | 59.9 Coverage Rating PFF Grade: 65.4 Key Stat: Led NFL CBs in passer rating when targeted (59.9, minimum 300 coverage snaps)
I’ll get heat for this, I’m sure, but Maddox is one of the top young CBs in the league and I’ll bet all my marbles on it. For being just 23 years old, the way he stepped up when his number was called and played his butt off against the Rams and the Texans in two of the most important games of the year really showed me something. He proved he can be versatile playing over 100 snaps each at the positions of free safety, outside cornerback, slot cornerback, and even special teams. My biggest concern as an Eagles fan is that Maddox will be pushed down the depth chart due to his “young age” and “inexperience” and less talented players such as Jalen Mills and Rasul Douglas will see the snaps instead.
2018 Stats: 73 Tgt - 49 Rec | 644 Yds - 8 TD - 3 INT | 114.2 Coverage Rating PFF Grade: 68.9 Key Stat: 1.06 Yards Allowed per Coverage Snap ranks 4th in the NFC East among CBs
At first glance, you might ask “What the hell happened to Josh Norman?” when you see that stat line. However, when you look into it, the 8 touchdowns allowed by the 31-year-old CB really drove some of those numbers up in a bad way. In reality, Norman’s 2018 season was pretty par for his career. He put up some ridiculous numbers between 2014 and 2016, but the reality of the situation was that he was committing a lot of penalties that were negating big, stat-line changing, plays. He has since relaxed on the penalty front and settled into being a somewhat average corner.
5. Jalen Mills - LCB - Philadelphia Eagles
2018 Stats: 49 Tgt - 32 Recs | 516 Yds - 1 TD - 0 INT | 107.2 Coverage Rating PFF Grade: 57.2 Key Stat: 1 TD allowed is tied for 2nd best mark among NFC East CBs
Jalen Mills is not a great cornerback. I know this. You know, I know this. I know, you know, I know this. Yet you don’t admit it. He is fiery, has green hair, and wears silly outfits so we have embraced him as a champion, but in reality, his off-the-field antics make him much more likable than his on-the-field ones. The Green Goblin has gotten better at stopping YAC, which has resulted in fewer TDs, but he is still quite the liability in most situations. I will concede, however, that in a red zone situation, there are few CBs I’d rather have in the league. I’d like to see him get a shot at safety, but I know it won’t ever happen so for now, I’ll just settle with wishing Maddox was playing.
2018 Stats: 92 Tgt - 61 Rec | 219 Yds - 7 TD - 2 INT | 109.3 Coverage Rating PFF Grade: 68.0 Key Stat: 7 TDs allowed ranks 2nd most among NFC East CBs
*See Josh Norman’s description and replace “Josh Norman” with “Janoris Jenkins”.
2018 Stats: 44 Tgt - 31 Rec | 372 Yds - 5 TD - 2 INT | 115.0 Coverage Rating PFF Grade: 67.2 Key Stat: Targeted one of every 5.3 coverage snaps (3rd most frequent in division)
Like Ronald Darby, Dunbar is frequently targeted. Unlike Ronald Darby, however, Quinton frequently allows big plays, touchdowns, and YAC. The ‘skins trust Dunbar so little that they had to bring in a retired CB to compete with him.
8. Rasul Douglas - RCB - Philadelphia Eagles
2018 Stats: 73 Tgt - 51 Recs | 641 Yds - 3 TD - 3 INT | 92.3 Coverage Rating PFF Grade: 69.6 Key Stat: Went from 7 pass break-ups in 2017 to just 1 in 2018
I like Douglas a lot, but my primary concern with him is that he is incredibly inconsistent. Some games he looks like he’s a future shut down cornerback while in other games you could convince me that his nickname is “burnt toast”. If we can see more of the former and less of the latter moving forward, Douglas could potentially be an impact CB for the Eagles.
2018 Stats: 84 Tgt - 54 Recs | 718 Yds - 4 TD - 1 INT | 102.2 Coverage Rating PFF Grade: 64.8 Key Stat: 84 Targets was second most among NFC East CBs
My favorite thing about this guy is his name. Awuzie does a lot of things decently, but almost nothing at an above average level. He is a pretty poor run defender and doesn’t tackle very well. At the ripe age of just 23, though, Awuzie has plenty of time to get his game together.
10. Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie - CB - Washington
2018 Stats: 10 Tgt - 6 Rec | 42 Yds - 0 TD - 0 INT | 69.6 Coverage Rating PFF Grade: 67.0 (unqualified) Key Stat: Retired October 30, 2018. Left retirement for Washington...
Seriously, Washington?
Conclusion
For as many names as there are on this list, almost all of them are fairly uninspiring. The good news for the Eagles, though, is that 3 of the top 5 on this list belong to them which is especially good news for the 2019 MVP, Carson Wentz. Stay tuned for a similar article covering the Slot CBs of the NFC East which will be on a front page near you soon!

Evans to Liverpool confirmed
Wales defender Gemma Evans has left Manchester United after just one season, featuring 19 times for the Red Devils.
Evans reunites with former Bristol manager Matt Beard, now head coach for Liverpool Women, and will likely find herself in the starting line-up thanks to Beard's 5-3-2 preference - and being flexible enough to deputise at left back; an area Liverpool are light in depth.
Speaking with Liverpool's media team, Evans said: “Last season was a difficult year for me as I had to learn to be a teammate in a different way on the field."
She added: “I want more game time and I want to prove the ability I think I have. I haven’t been able to showcase that the last season so I want to meet my standards again and hit the floor running.”
Evans first made her name at Yeovil, before being snapped up by Bristol City where she made 51 appearances. A move to Reading for two seasons followed, with another 41 appearances, before signing for United last July on a free following the Royals' relegation from the WSL.
The solid CB partnership of Maya Le Tissier and Millie Turner, and now the arrival of Dominique Janssen, has all but forced Evans out of the door, but a move to rivals Liverpool could be the deserved return to the forefront of selection for the Welsh international. At 28, Evans still has years left in her, and the experience to solidify the Liverpool backline.
Evans joins existing Liverpool centre backs Gemma Bonner, Grace Fisk, Niamh Fahey and Hannah Silcock, and is likely to slot in at LCB alongside Bonner and Fisk - though maybe there will be a settling-in period via substitute appearances.

4-2-1-3 | Absolutely Lethal With Aubameyang, Mikhitaryan, Ozil and Lacazette Leading The Lines : Strongest Arsenal Starting Lineup vs Bournemouth and Predictions
It is another evening of football in game week 28 and Arsenal take on Bournemouth at the Emirates. The Gunners seem to be back on track for Champions League qualification, having dispatched Southampton over the weekend to climb 4th on the table. They currently sit a point ahead of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's Manchester United and 3 points clear off Sarri's Chelsea in 6th, who have a game in hand due to their cup duties. Needless to say that this is another must win game for the Gunners, especially as Spurs travel to Stamford bridge tonight and Manchester United take on Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park in London. Points will be dropped in the top 6 and it is very important that the Gunners take maximum points from today's encounter vs Bournemouth, in order to further boost their chances of staying in the top 4 come May. So without much further ado, let's get right down to the business of this piece. Unlike their opponents, the Cherries have some significant injuries. Callum Wilson, David Brookes, Simon Francis and Junior Stanislas are notable absentees from today's squad for Bournemouth. Of the above mentioned, only Junior Stanislas is the only one likely to come on at some point for Bournemouth, if he passes a late fitness test for the game. The Gunners on the other hand are boosted by the return of Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Iwobi from injuries. Rob Holding and Hector Bellerin remain out for the rest of the season. Possible Starting XI for the Gunners vs Bournemouth, Bernd Leno GK, Litchstenier RB, Mustafi LCB, Sokratis Papasthadopolus CB, Sead Kolasinac LB, Granit Xhaka CM, Lucas Torreira DM, Mesut Özil CAM, Pierre Emerick Aubameyang LF, Alexandre Lacazette CF, Henrikh Mkhitaryan RW. Formation: 4-2-1-3 hybrid Possible Starting XI for the Cherries Boruc; Clyne, Mepham, Ake, Smith; Ibe, Lerma, Gosling, Fraser; King, Solanke Formation: 4-5-1 As always, the Boss Unai Emery has left nothing unturned in his prematch press conference . Here are quotes from it... On his thinking towards the Bournemouth encounter tonight... "Good afternoon. Performance. I want a performance in each match and our focus is tomorrow. Some players after playing Sunday with a very big intensity and energy, maybe can give us the same intensity and the same energy and I am going to find some players with this energy, this fresh intensity and also quality. But above all is to do the balance between all the individual qualities and capacities for finding the best performance tomorrow." On Iwobi... "I am very happy and I think he is working a lot for improving and he has energy, he has quality, he has things to improve. But he can do that. For us, we have to be demanding with him and he himself being demanding to improve the things that he can get better at in his qualities. When he’s getting into the attacking third, into the box, to be calm to decide the last action with assist and scoring more. But he is giving us a lot of attacking moments and opening space for other players when they are arriving to the ball." Feel free to catch up on all the gist from the press conference here. Prediction for Arsenal vs Bournemouth Considering how formidable the Gunners have been at home, this is an easy one to call... 3-0 to the hosts. Competition : Premier League Week 28 Venue: Emirates Stadium Time: 20:45 WAT Referee: Chris Kavanagh Read the full article

Arsenal vs Chelsea news: Arsenal Player ratings reviewed after a weak show against Chelsea in Europa Cup
A seemingly exciting season for Arsenal ended on a low note on Wednesday night. The crushing 4-1 defeat to London rivals Chelsea in the Europa League finals meant that Arsenal would end the season trophy-less.
[This post contains video, click to play]
Despite the final score, things were quite balanced in the first half. Both sides, it seemed, were testing each other out. The second half is when the carnage began- Olivier Giroud flagged it off with an exceptional diving header. Pedro then doubled the advantage with a cool first-time strike.
And of course, the last words came from Eden Hazard, with a penalty and an excellent finish into the right corner of Petr Cech’s goal. Squashed between the two Hazard goals was Arsenal’s consolation- a remarkable volley by Alex Iwobi.
Here are our Arsenal player ratings for the Europa League final:
GK: Petr Cech – 7
One of the few Arsenal players who can hold their head up high. Made a few great saves and kept the score as low as he could have.
RWB: Ainsley Maitland-Niles – 3
A tough night for the youngster, who simply couldn’t cope with Hazard. Showed his inexperience by giving away a needless penalty.
RCB: Sokratis Papastathopoulos – 5
Started the night with strength and grit, but faded away when Arsenal needed him the most, especially when the pressure was on.
CB: Laurent Koscielny – 5
Lost Giroud for the opening goal, and struggled against him throughout.
LCB: Nacho Monreal – 5
Was unable to cope with Pedro’s movement and quickness in the 2nd half.
LWB: Sead Kolasinac – 3
Had excellent opportunities to cut open Chelsea, but failed to deliver the final ball each time.
CM: Lucas Torreira – 5
A frustrating display, much down to the performance of his teammates, and some shoddy passing on his part. Left the pitch in tears.
CM: Granit Xhaka – 6
Had some excellent ideas and passes while in possession in the first half. Failed to deal with Chelsea’s offensive strength in the second.
CAM: Mesut Ozil – 3
An utterly shambolic performance, with the Arsenal play-maker creating just a single chance. Perhaps a sign that his time at the club is done.
ST: Alexandre Lacazette – 5
Was outfoxed through-out the game by Andreas Christensen.
ST: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang – 4
Worst player on the pitch apart from Ozil. Looked completely bereft of ideas.
SUB: Alex Iwobi (for Torreira, 67 mins) – 7
Played with intent and purpose, and scored an absolute wonder. Questions will be asked whey Ozil was started above him.
SUB: Joe Willock (for Ozil, 77 mins) – 5
Showed good movement and pace but lacked the finishing touch. Missed an absolute sitter after being put through by Lacazette.
SUB: Matteo Guendouzi (for Monreal, 67 mins) – 4
Brought on when the game was done and dusted, had too little time to influence things from his midfield role.
