Why are long covid rates higher in trans and bisexual* people?
While you can get long covid without any pre-existing conditions, Long Covid rates are highest in people already chronically ill and disabled — two groups which include many trans people.
Socioeconomic factors and minoritized stress can lead to an increased risk of Long Covid for trans and bisexual people. Because of socioeconomic factors, trans people are often not able to take time off and rest after a covid infection, especially BIPOC trans people.
Trans people also often do not have the same access to healthcare as non-trans queer people.
Covid and long covid is an intersectional issue. Queers don't give queers covid.
COVID IS A QUEER TRANS ISSUE. MASKING IS HARM REDUCTION. WE HAVE TO PROTECT ONE ANOTHER, ESPECIALLY NOW!

Highlights from my LCAD animation portfolio!
It was a ton of fun trying to adapt some concepts from my prospective novel for this assignment, albeit leading to many sleepless nights and a reinvigorated reliance on caffeine.
I’ve never been quite ‘good’ at reacting to positive news with the elation one might expect or even want, but nevertheless, I’m grateful for every instructor and friend that’s supported me throughout the application progress and convinced me to even go through with it.
Especially huge thanks to my dear friend @tomfowlery for having been such a big contributor to the formation of this story, collection of characters, and even its title What Befalls the Ephemeral. It’s been over year since I first divulged some basic character ideas to her over Discord, and to this day she’s still offering so much wonderful input, story beats, and character thoughts that this project just wouldn’t be the same without. From concepts relating to said story’s antagonism, to the design of Felicity in the final slide, there’s just so much to thank Gwyn for that I don’t think I’ll ever be able to cover—my gratitude is endless, and I’m ever so lucky and happy to know her. 🫶🦊💕
All in all, I don’t have much more to say other than I’m anticipating the start of this semester, finally living away from home, and pursuing something I’ve been intensely passionate about for years. <3

The answer is probably less fun than you would hope though since I have an academic education in the form of a degree from LCAD.
Tbh though while a lot of the fundamental/technical classes (figure drawing, perspective, anatomy) were helpful in teaching me how to do certain things, I didn’t really start to get good at implementing them until I started making comics. Drawing pictures like a million times and being forced to draw things you’re less comfortable with periodically will do that I guess!
Glad you think my anatomy is good too haha, it’s often very wonky, especially in comic stuff! But it’s good to know that doesn’t stick out too much :~]

Okay, let's get this series of lore dumps started. We'll call these entries in the ONYX ENCYCLOPEDIA, which will be a series of posts regarding my personal projects, characters, and important figures within my world(s). So without further a-do: THE ONYX ENCYCLOPEDIA #1 - SHADY

SHADY is a bartender that creates potions disguised as cocktails in a region where potions are treated as they were during prohibition.
She's a Shade, a fantasy race of people I made that are born of shadow spontaneously due to the magical saturation in the region they're from (More on Nouveau and Deco later) granting sentience to the shadows cast by strangers on the ground.

This is a mockup of what she might've looked like in a game. She was always intended to be an NPC that gives you a quest when you gain her trust at a bar (originally made as a piece in my Game Art portfolio for LCAD- I didn't end up going...)

Her quest line required you to hunt down a rival cocktail-alchemist who stole her recipe for a Love Potion and made it dangerous. Here was the bottle design, made to look like a simple syrup bottle with two spouts; for two consenting participants. When you learn more about the potion, you learn that it's a simple mixture of diluted alcohol and some aphrodisiacs; the goal was never to truly force love upon consumption, but to loosen up the participants to enable intimate conversation.
