Nancy Drew, the current NXTB Women's North American Champion, has been called out by Franziska von Karma (Ace Attorney). Von Karma wants a shot at the title, hoping to expand on her list of achievements. However, Nancy declines the challenge, saying that she’s earned the right to pick and choose her opponents after having defended the title from the previous champ (Harley Quinn of DC). If Von Karma is gonna challenge Nancy, she’ll have to earn the spot.

To prove her worth, Von Karma manages to book herself into a match with Katrielle Layton (Professor Layton games). Von Karma promises that she’ll prove her worth by dominating the match with ease.

I’ve been replaying Millionaire’s Conspiracy, and can we talk about case 6 for a second? You know, when the general manager of the bank conspired to commit insurance fraud for a sum of 100 million pounds? IN FRONT OF SCOTLAND YARD? AND NOBODY CARED? Yeah, that was quintessential Layton right there. 10/10, no critiques.

Rambling about Ernest for a sec as is tradition: I’ve noticed that, at least in the anime, Ernest tends to cry or get teary-eyed in almost every episode. Everyone’s backstory just makes him weepy. However, in the episode where Liza talks about her backstory regarding the death of her parents, he never sheds a tear.

Perhaps the concept is something he’s just used to, or maybe he quietly empathizes with her grief but distances himself emotionally from it because he doesn’t want to empathize with someone he believes to be his enemy, or at least a descendant of his enemy. Ow. Ow ow ow ow
