Biography:

Alain Berthou had no idea that a stint as a guest cellist for the New York Philharmonic would result in a whirlwind romance, a Claim and a beautiful baby girl. But that is exactly what he got. Mariana Kelly was the technical director at Lincoln Center. The pair fell hard for each other. The problem was that Alain had always planned to return to Breton. Claimed and pregnant, Mariana agreed to the move but only if they could spend the summer months back in New York. Alain agreed and thus when Annick Berthou was born, she was a child of two countries.

Annick was a happy child, doted on by her parents. She also had a very close relationship with her Aunt Dora in Breton. Dora owned a coffee shop/bookstore. It was small and eclectic, catering to the artsy crowd. Annick was always fascinated with the store, happy to spend hours in the stacks as a child and when older, working as a barista during the months she was in Breton.

But NYC was also home. She loved the bustle and excitement that was so unlike Breton. Much to her Aunt’s dismay, Annick chose to attend NYU. Majoring in Business, specializing in theater managment. She had never had the creative talents of her parents but she excelled in organization and still loved the world her father and mother excelled in.

University passed quickly and Annick found herself engaged to be Claimed. The only problem was that the move to NYU would be permanent. No more back and forth to Breton. Her parents urged her to follow her heart. Her Aunt was devastated. But Annick knew that Justin was her future.

Unfortunately, coming back to their shared apartment early one day proved that Justin didn’t feel the same way.  A broken engagement saw her packing her things and moving permanently back to Breton.

Annick found work easily, running the business office of a local theater and filling in for her Aunt here and there at Brainwash.  When her Aunt passed suddenly, Annick was shocked to find that she’d left the shop to her. The shop had always been her favorite place and now suddenly it was hers.

Brainwash has been Annick’s life for the last five or so years. She’s managed to have a couple of relationships since her failed engagement but nothing lasting. They either felt pushed aside in favor of her business or she couldn’t manage to trust them enough. She tries not to think about it but sometimes it creeps up on her. She is now closer to forty than thirty and has nearly given up hope for another chance.

Werewolf that hates Adam. He was part of the pack that terrorized their pack. They would probably see him as an enemy but he wouldn’t see them as one, not now at least.

Background:

Adam’s bio is here, but to give you the important facts all summed up Adam was born into a pack that had been taken over by a ruthless tyrant thirteen years before. For a little background on the pack in general: Morgan (known by his last name only) was power obsessed and was focused on expanding his control. One of my big inspirations for Morgan was Negan from Walking Dead, so in terms of him thinking of that might help. The pack started out in the town of Eatonville, Washington, USA and expanded out over time. Members of Morgan’s pack, Adam included, were trained into soldiers that enforced his rule.

Adam was one of his many blind followers that listened to the instructions he was given without second guessing them, no matter how cruel. To take directly from Adam’s bio: “Adam aided in the expansion of their territory, traveling to nearby packs with messages from Morgan and eventually fighting against them if they refused to stand down and surrendered their land. Every action was completed without a second thought”. Your character would’ve been in one of the packs that Adam faced against. I imagined that their alpha would’ve stood against Morgan with your character’s pack by their side, the two packs fought, Adam’s pack won and your character’s alpha was killed. They were given the option to join Morgan’s pack or leave and never come back, and they left.

When the war started Morgan’s pack was almost all wiped out because he chose to fight against humans since he saw humans were the weaker species and supernatural’s should be afraid of them. Adam finally saw the light, realized how terrible Morgan was and left the pack. Now he’s in Hollow Grove to find his brother Jack. Your character would be arriving in Hollow Grove, not knowing that he’s there or even alive and have the rude surprise of finding him there. Adam’s been pretending the first 37 years of his life didn’t happen have since the end of the war and it’ll be a rude awakening for him to and force him to come face to face with the past he doesn’t want to deal with. I guarantee tension, anger, and lots and lots of pain!
