BEHOLD: BLANK LOVE LIVE SHIPPING WHEELS FOR YOUR EVERY POSSIBLE CHAOTIC MULTISHIPPER NEED. GO FORTH AND HAVE FUN
some notes regarding formatting decisions below the readmore!
yes i felt the need to include every project. school idol musical live tv drama is coming out right now so all of our girls are about to be accessible to us! yay!!!!
rivals or extremely significant side characters (hi sachi) are included in the main wheel. because i love them. also because they're extremely shippable.
included every possible side character i could think of within a reasonable age range of the main characters. tried to format them close to characters that they might be shipped with.
(bonus note regarding above: yes i want all of the moms to kiss eachother too. however thats not the point of this so that's why i didn't include any adult characters. mom nishikino x mom minami. kaoruko x misato crackship?? MADOKA X KYOKA. CAN ANYONE HEAR ME HELLO I LOVE WOMEN)
yohane the parhelion separate from sunshine because it's a different cast and the characters feel distinct. god knows i have way different ships for it too.
color key left blank so you can come up with as many categories / levels as you want! include notps if you want. or don't. if you want to font match this part, i used century gothic!
i literally don't care if you credit me (all i did was painstakingly pick out art i liked and arranged nice circles) but if you want to that's super cool!!
sorry i don't have any cross-project shipping available through this. maybe if you include notes and thoughts you can talk about it! does anybody in this thread smoke nicomari
okay that's it i hope you all have fun!! i will probably post my own takes soon <3

and if i said that in lottienatlee the biggest/most consistent top is laura lee.....
CONTROVERSIAL! I LOVE IT
listen... i''ll be honest i want and need and love the dynamic of laura lee being the biggest bottom and lottie and nat being in a constant power struggle to be on top
BUT! i never got over that post that said something along the lines of "lottie is always a top except when laura lee wants to be" so. you know what. this could 100% work
you know lottie and nat can't say no to her. why have a power struggle when instead they can just let laura lee have control. you know lottie and nat feel like they carry the weight of the world on their shoulders and only let down their guard with laura lee!! you know they're close to holy for laura lee and she loves to worship!!

i did the whole 'oh i;ll only watch a couple episodes of this sh- oh oops i've seen the whole thing' with we are lady parts series 2 and i wanna give my thoughtssss
will be spoilers below btw
ok so overall i did love it!!!
as i said in my other post, this series was definitely less funny than the first but that made sense since this one felt a lot more serious, and the emotional moments were by far the strongest imo!!!
the music was great OBVIOUSLY! 'villain era' is an instant classic, and i WILL be listening to the whole soundtrack on repeat lol!
i also really adored so many of the character moments in this series! bisma trying to find her identity as a black muslim woman (and the whole 'don't let me be misunderstood' scene made me bawl! genuinely one of the best bits of tv i've seen in ages!), ayesha's struggle with her relationship to the idea of coming out (which i'm SO happy they went the direction they did! it also really did make me cry too lol... also laura was hot as fuck) and saira's whole censorship thing was SO fucking powerful! (the other characters had great moments too btw, but those definitely stood out to me!)
also ALSO i loveddd how so many scenes had this unique surreal feel to them! like we definitely saw this in the first series, but i love how they really played around with it in this one (the whole pausing people thing, saira being physically censored, etc)
also ALSO ALSO loved that we got some more momtaz scenes! it genuinely broke my heart when they decided to ditch her for the contract tbh and i was so SO happy where they went with her arc!
but ok so despite all that, i did have some Problems...
overall the first half of the series was definitely weaker than the latter half, and like i get that a part of that is cos they ofc needed to set up plots for the latter part to make sense, but it also meant that the first few eps kinda dragged a lil :///
connected to this, i really didn't get why the whole 'second wife' bit was there lol other than to create some 'lady parts are millennial and don't understand gen z' but it all just came across kinda cringey to me soz... (also the fanfiction plot could have been interesting but they handled it in a kinda weird way ??? idk lol...)
my biggest complaint, though, was with what they did with amina.
look, i ADORE her as a character and anjana is an absolute QUEEN. buuuuuuut.... they really couldn't have had something more interesting for her character other than a (kinda boring) romantic storyline?! idk... just with everything else happening with the other characters, it was the part that felt least developed imo...
and it's not like i have anything against ahsan and her being together, i really like their chemistry and def rooted for them in the first series, but the whole white guy thing (i cant be bothered to go look up that guy's name lol) & ahsan's jealousy was just a lil tedious to me idk...
even her scenes with noor and her mum, which i did like, just felt kinda disjointed from everything else... i guess they wanted to include it so the series still felt lighthearted with all the slightly more heavy subject matters this series went into, but it just didn't work for me...
and especially with her saying she's in her 'villain era' i was really hoping for some interesting and dynamic moments with her character but we got like... literally nothing that wasn't already in the first series lol??? also, and this is a small complaint, but i feel like her relationship with saira was a large part of the first series and yet we hardly saw them interact in the second series??? (and i'm not even saying this from a shipping context, even though i do like the idea of them being together lol... it was just odd that their dynamic was so important for the first series but completely ignored for the 2nd ??? idk idk)
and like, look, i know that a part of my minuscule disappointment with this series is that the first series had SUCH a big impact on me and so my expectations after literally 3 years of waiting were very high, so there was no way that it would ever be able to live up to all that anyway so ... idk

I've done two Backstory!Posts so far, and so here is lucky number three from my current platonic yandere Marvel favorites! I hope everyone who has read the first two are enjoying them so far😊 For our lucky number three, we have Laura Kinney, a.k.a. Wolverine 2.0! I hope I write her well enough. I'll admit, I've seen her in X-Men Evolution, where she first appeared, and in the alternate timeline movie, Logan, based on the Old Man Logan comics. I know some from the comics, but haven't gotten into them much. Let's begin:
• Her life wasn't very friendly. She was meant to be a clone of the Wolverine, yet was born from his genetic code and from the womb of Sarah Kinney. Most of her life had been controlled by the Weapon X program, training her and torturing her to be what her father could not be: their perfect weapon. But she would eventually escape. She would get a chance to start a new life, one where she actually had a say in what she did, a chance to make her own choices; but, before it all, she had to survive through what could only be described as H*ll.
• Her bby is likely a calm sort of person. Someone who is unwavering in morals and firm in their choices. They could possibly be laid-back or out-going, maybe even really loud or really silent. But one way or another, they stay the same. They aren't wishy-washy, and they can rein in any problems or sort out any issue at hand. They bring order into chaos.
• These two could meet each other in a number of ways. They could meet each other in the Weapon X program, with the bby perhaps being a clone/child of another hero/villain. Maybe they meet at Professor Xavier's School For Gifted Youngsters. Who knows, the bby could simply be someone who meets Laura at a park or aquarium. For this, though... I'll try to explore the idea of this bby being another type of clone/child from Weapon X... this makes the bby someone who understands Laura in a way others can't, except for a select few...
• And Laura is so glad that she wasn't alone... that there was someone who tried to help her, who didn't see her as a weapon...
• They had a new assignment for her. Something different than the others. It seems they wanted her to meet a new possible candidate for the program, one who was a mutant as well... She shoved down any emotions that tried to wriggle into her head. No. She can't show anything besides complete obedience.
• You weren't having a great day. The people who had you, the ones who ruined your life, were sending their top agent to see you. At least, you think it was an agent. They didn't give them a name, only a number: X-23. You felt dread, but swallowed it back. These people may have twisted you, trying to mold you into something they could control... but they weren't the only ones patient enough to play the long game...
• You let out a soft sigh from your nose. It may haunt you, it may hurt you, but you just have to wait a bit longer... You have a plan; you just have to wait for the right time. Too soon, and everything is lost. With that thought, you hear the door creak open to your cell.
• X-23 finally arrives to where she needs to be. A guard looms in front of the door, but once they see her, they stiffen. She can smell their fear, their disgust. But none of that matters. She is here to deal with her assignment. "I'm here to see X-31." It was hard to believe there were that many experiments... harder still to accept that she was alone here, the program's only working one... Maybe not for long...The guard nods, and opens the door. And behind it, facing them, is the newest candidate for the program.
• They aren't acting hostile. She watches their face, their stance, noting how best to dispatch them if they become trouble. They seem to study her as well. Cool, calculating eyes flick over her, studying her every move. Puzzlement seems to twitch across their face. They close their eyes, taking a deep breath, then open them once more. And just like that, they're back to collected. They nod once at her, the faintest trace of a smile peaking at their lips.
• This... is not what she expected. Is this one broken? She feels annoyance creeping up her spine, but resists it. She will not lose composure over this. All she is here to do is assess the next experiment. And if they happen to be weird, so be it. She isn't looking for punishment over something this small. With a huff, she turns around, leaving the room. She's seen what she needed to see.
• You watch as the girl leaves your cell, stalking out without a word said. You hear the lock click in the door, leaving you alone once again. These people... they had a child. Well, maybe not a tiny child, but that was someone who wasn't even an adult yet. What. The HECK? You take another deep breath, sliding down to sit on the floor. You knew this place was bad news, but apparently you weren't their first victim. A frown tugs at the corner of your mouth.
• X-23 works her way back to the lab, where she needs to update the scientists on her knowledge of X-31. As she reaches the lab, she sees one of the newer scientists pause to look at her with sharp, beady eyes. This one had been a problem for her since the moment they became a part of the program. They tended to find the most minute reasons to punish her, going far enough in some to leave her with a sense of trepidation every time they were in the same vicinity. They had it out for her, wanting to do everything in their power to exert their authority over her, having a new consequence for every small thing she did. Steeling herself, she enters.
• After the girl left, leaving you to your own devices, the guard had dragged you out. Turns out the people in charge wanted to test you themselves, not wanting to waste a moment. They lead you to a dark lab, where a few people dressed in lab coats are waiting for you... along with the girl... you keep a straight face, watching them with careful scrutiny. Two scientists who look like interns, so not major players... one is fiddling with equipment, ready to begin... one who's stoic and straight-backed, probably the one running this... and the one by the girl... their eyes... they're enjoying this... You can see how the girl's jaw is tense when that one is near, a clear sign that the scientist in question has hurt her before. You shouldn't risk anything... but... you think the two of you could do with one less evil scientist in this wicked place...
• X-23 listens as the scientists discuss the information she relayed to them. The one left in charge of X-31 pauses as a guard enters with the aforementioned experiment, bringing them over to be checked. You stay still, even as four of the scientists start to set up, even while the one who hurt her pats you down, noting every detail they see.
• You remain quiet as most of the others go back to their work, leaving you and the other victim to pay attention to the current scientist trying to examine you. You shiver as their hands touch you all over, turning your head and checking your limbs. You hear them mutter under their breath all the horrible things they have in store, how excited they are to have a second test subject... And while they are too busy man-handling you, close enough where no one can tell if you are touching them... you carefully slip something you had hidden on you into their pocket...
• X-23 sees what you did, and just as she plans to call you out... the scientist heading the experiment shouts. They yell for the guards to bar the exit, to not let anyone leave the room. She waits as she and the scientists are patted down, being searched for a flash drive that contains the plans they had for you, something that can't be allowed to fall into any rival organizations' hands...
• And they do find it, on the scientist who had hurt her, and had plans to hurt you... and even as the guards take that scientist away, preparing to dispose of them for this apparent betrayal...
• She keeps her mouth shut. She doesn't know why you did it... if you even meant to help her... but for now... she'll keep this information to herself... And she won't regret this decision... this was how she met you... and she planned to have your back the way you had her's back then...

Space Ghost Week
Tumblr media
Space Ghost Coast to Coast #64: “Rio Ghosto” | September 18, 1998 | S05E07
This is a really significant episode for me, and I’m gonna get way too personal to explain why. Yes, this is a memoir-style post where I get nostalgic about my childhood VCR. Don’t worry, I hate when I do this, too. Feel free to skip around.
Space Ghost has written a very bad screenplay (I can relate!). So, he lines up three sophisticated cutting-edge indie directors as his three guests. After a Dick-Dale sounding opening and some Moltar title-card mischief, we get to our first guest. It’s… Ben Stiller?? Well, he does have bleach blonde hair. That was pretty cutting-edge in 1998.
Space Ghost also has a bit of a chat with Kevin Smith before he had the stink of Dogma all over him (or the stink of Chasing Amy, but that’s more of a retrospect thing). Kevin and Zorak have a moment where they shout each other out, only to have Space Ghost interrupt it by shouting out his own name. Very funny! Maybe the funniest thing Kevin Smith ever did (other than [spoiler alert] k*ll D*nte)
This episode more-or-less represents my becoming an actual regular viewer of Space Ghost. I think we had JUST gotten Cartoon Network on our cable system earlier in 1998. I was in high school, and was taking a sincere stab at being social and hanging out with girls I had crushes on and stuff like that. Luckily that didn’t take. I haven’t spoken to or even really want to ever see those people again. I am watching this episode of Space Ghost probably for the 23rd time in my life.
The entire reason, more-or-less, that I tuned into (and taped!) this episode of Space Ghost was because Kevin Smith was on it. I was fanatical for him at this time, and remember anticipating Dogma so rabidly that I actually did the unthinkable: I downloaded the script from the internet and read it before the movie came out. The movie in my head turned out to be way better than the movie we currently, uh, I guess we don’t actually currently have Dogma, do we? I guess that one fat rapist has to die first?
I don’t really wanna turn this into a Kevin Smith post. I write way too much about that guy. I still watch his movies even though most of them leave me cold. But: I basically remember a few moments in which Kevin Smith appeared on my radar: I’m pretty sure I saw the trailers for Clerks, Mallrats, and Chasing Amy attached to various VHS tapes I rented. Also, I distinctly remember seeing Clerks reviewed by Siskel and Ebert, and being fascinated by the idea that a rude R-rated comedy could also be a black and white art film.
Austin Stories, a faintly remembered MTV Show starring Laura House, Chip Pope, and Howard Kremer (second place only to Freaks and Geeks as my favorite one-season TV series of all time) was getting enough buzz that it merited an article in TV Guide that compared it to other burgeoning slacker-related media. They listed the films of Kevin Smith and Richard LInklater. I remembered those names.
The first Kevin Smith project I ever saw was either Mallrats, or Jay and Silent Bob’s Video Stash on MTV, an hour long special hosted from Kevin Smith’s famous comic book store. The purpose of the special was to show the collected interstitials Smith directed for the network which starred Jay & Silent Bob. But these things helped me understand the idea that films had directors, and those directors had a particular style, and if you like a movie by a certain director it’s a good idea to seek out their other movies. Clerks came next. Chasing Amy after that. Dogma was the first one I got to see in the theaters. Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back was the second. I leveled off after that one. What a pair of stinkers.
Space Ghost also talks to Jim Jarmusch, who also made funny black and white movies about slackers just like my “hero” Kevin Smith. If I only I knew that then! This episode didn’t really serve as any kind of introduction to these guys, sadly. The episode, like many episodes of Space Ghost, sorta rely on you already knowing who these guys are. I had no live for Jarmusch from this episode. Stranger Than Paradise is so wonderful. I should really go through the guy’s filmography sometime, I think I’ve only seen like five of them.
This episode got me into watching Space Ghost pretty regularly. I remember taping this to the beginning of a tape. Then, I transferred a recording of Mystery Science Theater to the tape so I could edit the commercials out. For some reason I decided to do this after the Space Ghost episode, making it sorta like a theatrical short that plays before a feature film. I liked the pairing of the two shows so much I began simultaneously recording Mystery Science Theater and Space Ghost and filling up the ends of edited-for-commercials MST3Ks with Space Ghost reruns (also SCTV repeats from NBC’s Later). Man, I would love it if I had all those tapes still. I still think that’s a killer combo. I paired down when they were coming out on DVD.
Favorite bits: Ben Stiller’s exchange with Zorak where Zorak is echoing Ben’s descriptors of him “yeah, I’m ribald”. “Yeah, I’m ribald” was in the running for my favorite Zorak quote for a very long time. Ben Stiller talking about Cable Guy 2 (wow, he’s so self-effacing!). The brief video clip of Andy Merrill (I assume) rolling around laughing that played during the break (was there actually commercial breaks for this season? I forget!). The cut to Zorak, now a Squirrel, saying “Screwy, Ain’t It?” which was a then-current reference to Cartoon Network’s on-air branding, which used that tagline over clips of particularly goofy cartoon moments.
At the end we get a very brief clip of George Lowe in a Space Ghost costume, with a holster at his side, looking serious. This is, I assume, taken from this footage from a live-action shoot, where George Lowe loses his marbles with a dwarf pony. This brief tag seems to be the only remnants of this shoot, which is why it became a DVD Easter egg on the volume four DVD (as well as a series of anniversary bumpers that aired on Adult Swim). The resulting use of the footage is comically unspectacular, so much so that I remember almost cutting it out of my tape because I thought it was a Cartoon Network bumper or something. I really wonder if the writers thought this live-action sequence was going to be a huge pay-off for the episode.
A landmark episode! For me! And me only!
MAIL BAG
tell that other commenter they already brought Lewis back, he's Mario's nemesis in The Mario's Movie. It's the same voice actor and everything, look it up. "Lewis Lectures, here we come!" i couldn't agree more!
What couldn’t you agree more with?
oh please don't edit out my slur. I'll be nice!
Nice girls don’t slur

Just Have Faith
[Levi Schuler x Laura Day Masterlist]
Pairing: Levi Schuler x Laura Day [F!MC] Book: Mother of the Year, Post-Chapter 10 Word Count: ~1,300 Rating/Warning: Teen (some language).
Prompts: @choicesmonthlychallenge "I've got this"; @choicesbookclub MOTY Replay ; @wackydrabbles 103 "Why did you say that" (in bold).
Synopsis: Following the events of Chapter 10, when Guy refuses to wake up Lily, Laura returns home frustrated and alone. She starts to believe Guy's declarations of winning custody. Levi is there to remind her not to give up. [Emotional Hurt/Comfort]
Tumblr media
Before she knew it, Laura was back in front of the apartment building. The street around had quieted since she left a few hours earlier. Her feet moved instinctively forward, carrying her numbly toward the building; her eyes were filled with unshed tears. She found herself in the elevator, pressing the button for their floor, but when the doors reopened, she didn't have the strength to take those last few steps.
The doors closed again, and the elevator remained in place, waiting for another resident to call for its arrival. Her head fell back against the wall, and time ticked on. Her mind kept replaying all those moments that had torn her down since Guy's arrival. It was too much.
The elevator began to descend, dinging as the doors opened for whoever summoned it. Laura sniffled back her worries and shuffled to the corner, hoping to go unnoticed.
Levi strutted in, tossing his hair behind his shoulder. He pressed the button for their floor on his way in. He stopped short, noticing he wasn't alone. "Laura?"
She looked up, her gaze barely meeting his before falling.
His eyes widened as he took her in. He rested his hands on her arms, moving them slowly, trying to bring her comfort. "What's wrong?"
Her mouth opened to speak, but no words made themselves known. A heavy sigh slipped through her lips as she reached to cradle her face in her hands.
"Let me help you to your apartment," Levi offered when the elevator arrived at its destination once more.
"No—" Laura shook her head, her voice barely audible. "No. I can't—"
"Where's Rocket?" Levi questioned, noting her absence. His voice rose with concern. "Did something happen? Is Lily alright?"
"Guy happened," Laura scoffed. Her fingers ran beneath her eyes, collecting the tears that tried to escape.
Levi waited patiently, giving her time. He slowly stroked her back, letting her know she wasn't alone.
"He put Lily to bed an hour early so that he'd have an excuse as to why I couldn't pick her up. He wouldn't hear reason. He wouldn't wake her up. And just like that, he's stolen another night from me." Her words flowed more quickly now as she let out the pain. "What if this is it? Is every day going to be a fight with him until I lose or give up?"
Levi's eyes closed at the news. His jaw and fists clenched.
The elevator shifted downward again.
"Come with me," he asked gently as the doors opened again. Levi took her hand and guided her forward, leading them outside into the night. "Let's go for a walk."
Laura didn't protest; this was better than facing the empty apartment for the fourth straight night. The crisp autumn air was refreshing. She felt her body relax slightly with the cool breeze. "I hate him."
"I know." He offered her hand a reassuring squeeze.
"First, when we were together, he made me feel like crap. He got me to believe that all of our problems were my fault. Then, after four years of learning to accept myself again and doing my best to support Lily on my own, he shows up, flaunting his wealth and status." Laura shook her head in disgust. "Lily should've been home yesterday. Maybe, I"ll get her back tomorrow, but who knows. If I had kept her an additional 48 hours, I'd be held accountable, but, Guy? Never. He's bullying me with his money, and no one sees it."
"I see it." Levi brushed his thumb tenderly over her knuckles. "And if it would help, I'm more than happy to drive over there and deck him for you. Let's just get you an alibi first."
Laura laughed through her tears. "Don't tempt me." She leaned into him further. "I don't know what to do." The words slipped from her lips in desperation. "Who says tomorrow will be any different?"
He nodded in understanding, wishing more than anything that he could make it better for her.
"I'm—I'm trying my best. But it doesn't feel like it's enough." Her voice cracked at the admission. "Maybe, I'm not enough for her."
"Why did you say that?" Levi turned to face her. "Don't ever let him make you feel like that. What you and Lily have is special. It's more than he can even hope to comprehend."
"It's only just started, and it already feels hopeless—"
"It's never hopeless," Levi interrupted. "Isn't that what you told me the other day? That it wasn't too late for my career? That I should have faith that it will work out?"
"Maybe I was wrong." No longer able to hold them back, silent tears slid down her cheek.
He wrapped his arms around her, pulling her into his chest. "Laura, you're her mom. You've been there through the good and the bad. You've put her first in everything. Hell, you moved to a new town with no support just so she could go to a better school and one day achieve her dream. You're an incredible mom and woman. Anyone can see that. As long as you're still standing, as long as you are still fighting, there's no stopping you. Your love will get you through. There's always hope."
Laura wrapped her arms around him, letting the warmth of his embrace soothe her.
"Don't let him get to you. He's not worth it." He stroked her hair softly. "You've got this."
She nodded, taking a step back, trying to compose herself. She let his words settle over her. "I've got this."
"Don't ever let that piece of shit make you doubt yourself. He's not worth it. But you are." He cradled her face in his hands. "What you and Lily have is worth everything. Just have faith in yourself. It's going to be okay."
"Thank you—" she held her hand over his, keeping him there. Laura focused on the warmth of his palm against her cool cheek. A small smile turned at the corner of her lips as his adoring gaze met hers. "Thank you for being everything I've needed since moving here."
"I haven't done anything." His thumb brushed over her cheek. "You did."
"I mean it, Levi. You've been here for everything. You fixed my oven. You baked cookies with Lily and me. You've given me rides. You've babysat Lily (which is no small feat). You helped me get a job. You've been nothing less than a gentleman. You never cease to amaze me." She chewed her lip, watching his smile grow. "I don't know how I got to be so damn lucky."
"I'm the lucky one. You and Rocket have helped me too. In more ways than you know."
"Maybe you can tell me someday." Laura pressed a kiss to his palm.
"Maybe."
"Levi?"
"Yes?"
She tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. "You can kiss me now."
He exhaled a chuckle. "Don't mind if I do."
His lips captured hers immediately, not needing any further invitation. They were soft and warm, encouraging him deeper. The subtle taste of her now-dried tears lingered. He made it his mission to kiss ever drop away. Her tears were a reminder of the pain she had felt. He refused to let any memory of that remain. He peppered her face with the softest kisses. It was then that he realized there was nothing he wouldn't do for her. He had never felt like this before. He would move heaven and earth if it would prevent her from shedding another tear. He kissed his way back to her lips, deepening their embrace.
The sound of someone clearing their throat pulled them apart. "Some of us are trying to walk here." A grumpy, elderly man complained, pushing past them.
Laura cringed, hiding her face in her hands.
"Sorry, bro!" Levi called.
"Youth today," the man huffed, shaking his fist.
Her laughter filled the night air around them.
It was a beautiful melody. Levi smiled to himself, admiring her. It just might be his favorite sound.

So you want to buy a copy of Unlocked
This post is made as a educational guide to the current situation with Keeper of the Lost Cities newest book, Unlocked.
Over the past few days, many people have suggested boycotting the hardcover editions of Unlocked due to one VERY IMPORTANT read: this is that the main artist featured, L*ura H*ll*ngsw*rth, is homophobic and we do not want to support her. As a queer person, it really hurts to see a series that I’ve loved for almost 7 years now. However, many of us still want to read the book and support other people behind this project. For me personally, I especially want to support my local book store and the US postal service during this time. So, what are alternatives?
1. EMAIL SHANNON’S PUBLISHER
Shannon just finished unlock TODAY - this means that the book had yet to be printed and that there is still time to get L*ura’s art out of the book. The book still also has to be edited so we have time. Even if the art isn’t taken out due to payments already being made, this could end the arrangement between the series and her AND we could possibly get a new official artist. Even if we sadly don’t get that either, showing S&S we don’t want to buy books with her art in them will hopefully make them not want to work with her in the future.
2. BUY THE AUDIOBOOK
The main reason that this is my suggestion is that it’s the only version where you can guarantee L*ura will not make any profits because there are no physical or digital pages. Through the research I’ve been doing, I can’t find anything that indicates that official KOTLC narrator, Caitlin Kelly, is homophobic. Audiobooks can be expensive, especially since all KOTLC are Audible exclusives, but Audible does offer a free trial that comes with 1 free audiobook and you can keep the book after you cancel your subscription. Also, if any of you do know if Caitlin is homophobic please reblog with that information and I’ll edit this.
3. BUY THE NOOK VERSION
This is probably seem like what a lot of people are going to do. As of right now, the Nook app does not support/load art that goes along with books such as KOTLC. This would also be cheaper than getting the audiobook version. However, there are two things that concern me about this; first being that  while we know most artists are paid in advance, we can’t say that Laura will make no profit from sales with her art in it. There are many unknowns in this field and many of us are trying to do more research about this. I’ve been looking at two accounts in particular on Instagram (I don’t know if they have tumblrs so I’m tagging there instagram handles) and I suggest you check both @/ahsokatano13 and @/dexs.mother out. the second reason is that the Nook app has been having a lot of updates recently and by the time Unlocked comes out, they could have found a way to load/support the art in the book.
4. WAIT OR BORROW THE BOOK
Use your library or your local KOTLC friends - it may take longer for you to read it but this way you won’t be supporting L*ura. You can also wait even longer and purchase the paperback version.
and lastly
5. DONATE THE SAME AMOUNT TO LGBTQIPAA+ INDIVUALS/GROUPS
Many people preorder months in advance and it’s fine if you did, since this art portion information was only revealed recently. So, treat buying this book like shopping at a place like Ch*ck F*l A. Is every single individual behind this purposes homophobic? No. There are no many people that are behind that KOTLC books other than Shannon - the people who print, who box, who ship, who sell, etc. So rather than purchasing this book and then feeling guilty about it, find out the exact price you spent on the book itself and donate, if you can, that exact amount to a queer foundation or individual. If you can donate double, that's great! If you can only spare a few dollars right now, that’s great too. As long as you give some money back to the people that are being affect by the decision to use a homophobic artist in this book, that sort-of evens out things in my eyes.
At the end of the day, every KOTLC fan is an individual. Some fans aren’t even aware of this situation, some fans don’t know how to handle it, etc. I made this post to be educational and provide options for other KOTLC fans.

hate, love, and god
i love you <3
hate
Lottie [REDACTED] and Laura Lee mildly hated herself for her first thought being that it was Lottie’s sin, not hers.
love
“I’m myself. This is really me. Every decision. I’m just being myself. And I’ve learned to love that person, most of the time at least,” Laura Lee said, her words turning into a hasty mumble at the end.
god
In the meantime, Laura Lee found herself overjoyed with the unwavering belief that Lottie really was touched by the holy spirit. This had to mean Lottie was chosen, in some way or another, in some degree no matter how small, by God Himself for some divine purpose.
so we have [SPOILERS], LL's best attempt at self love, and the beginning of the deification of Lottie! a good summary of the chapter if i say so myself
send me a word and i'll post a sentence off my Laura Lee corruption arc fic

Another Ghost Story- Horror Team CAS Challenge
Tumblr media
Rules : Create the perfect survivor but think archetype (but not all white sims please and only human). The 6 survivors archetypes are : The Nerdy, The Sporty, The Pure Heart, The Lost Soul, The Fool and The Queen . No researchs needed, just think about what the word and create :)
Your entry must include the following :
Age (Young Adult or Adult only) / Phobia or Trauma / Traits / A small description of your sims personnality.
Also, all survivors should have a phobia/trauma related background story that I will use during the story (ex: Maeve is scared of spiders, Laura is scared of the woman in black…)
You can create one or two related sims but please, only use Maxis Match CC (kijiko eyelashes are ok)  wearing an Everyday outfit ^^ (if Alpha cc, I might turn your sims into MM)
Game rules (for the story) are simple : Everyday I will post an episode. There will be 7 or 8 survivors depending on your creativity (I’m still waiting for contestants ^^) so everyday I will choose someone based on a random trait simulator. Based on the results it will give me, here’s what will happen :
1 - If your sim has one trait selected then he/she will be a potential victim.
2 - If it has 2 or more selected trait then he/she will be killed for sure.
That way, everyone can die or live and the random thing makes it so much funnier for you and for me as well ^^ Who will survive? We’ll see !
Special Readers Warnings : This is a horror and dark story so adult content, with bad words, murders and gore stuff, also some screen might be very spooky (Well, I ‘ll try my best to scare you a little :p).
This entire project is inspired by It and the Ju-On/ The Grudge Saga. This would have not been possible without the HUGE help of the super talented  @mauxais who created this amazing house of nightmares ! Thank you so so much for that, this house is exactly what I have been trying to create for days and days !
If you join this challenge tag me (@Madeofcc) and/ortag with  #horrorteamchallenge . I will reblog every entry, if I don’t reblog yours don’t hesitate to send me the link to the post!
Deadline to submit is April 15th !

Note
all 10 for the writer asks 💕
THANK YOU!
1. How do you approach worldbuilding (if it’s an AU) or research (if it’s an established canon)?
I usually make some preliminary notes if it’s an AU on what main sort of things I would like to have happen, for example, looking up fashion trends, top music hits, and some sort of big current event that an everyday person would be aware of.  Then I’d sort of spiderweb out (80s AU: who wore popped collars and khaki shorts? Which character from this fandom would fit that? Who would throw a watch party for Luke and Laura’s wedding or talk endlessly about who really shot JR? If these characters were going through a recession and changing politics, how would they react? What sort of jobs would they have and/or be getting laid off from? Is there a chance to have a Mr. Mom character?) to form the meat of the story’s details.  Of course, this means going through research rabbit holes and spending hours finding things that I only use for a throwaway line, but that’s usually the way it is.
For established canon research, I’m usually pulling up Wikis, looking up fansites for details, checking out maps or guides to remember plotline specific missions, or pulling the old reliable “Oh NO. I have to play/read/watch this thing AGAIN. WhatEVER shall I do?”
2. What do you do to understand the characters better and get into their head space?
I usually pull out those boring party icebreaker type questions and throw them at the characters. I”ll also make playlists or moodboards and just list out random little personality facts and character quirks until things start to take shape.
3.  How long do you usually spend writing a chapter? (considering only the actual hours you spend writing/typing!)
Actually typing? It depends on how much free time I have. A chapter/one-shot normally takes a week or two total to write during a busy work week, or roughly anywhere from 8-10 hours on a weekend if I have uninterrupted time and energy to focus on something for a solid block of time.  Lately the norm has been 5-10 minutes here and there pecking on my phone at a rough idea so that whenever I do have time set aside to write, I’ll already have most of the main idea laid out, even if it’s full of [insert big, dramatic scene here] or [LET THEM KISS] notes to myself in the middle of actual written paragraphs.
4. How does your writing happen? Do you visualize scenes playing out in your head, or do they come out in words as you type?
Usually I’ll have an extremely vague idea on where I would like the story to go and then keep everything as flexible as possible in case characters decide to go out onto left field and start doing their own thing. Sometimes I’ll have a very set “this is how I want the story to end” and sometimes it’ll just...stop all on its own. The middle parts are usually the most difficult to pin down, but what I’ll usually do is write until I get stumped, make an [IDEK where this is going, future!me, help!] note for myself, and then move on to another part. Eventually, I’ll get to a point where I can tie things together, or if I can’t, then I can decide if I want to keep going with the story as-is, or if I want to cut and paste what I have to salvage for something else later and then start fresh. If I’m stumped, I’ll read back what I’ve read and try to visualize what’s happening as a scene in a movie to troubleshoot what’s not flowing correctly for me.
5. How long do you spend editing each complete chapter/story?
It depends! If I’m pressed for time (or if I’m tired of writing and just want to be done) then I’ll spend about 15-20 minutes. I usually regret that time frame because I’ll hit Post and then find so many typos or half-finished sentences and whole paragraphs I wish that I would have structured differently!  Normally, if I’m not working on deadlines, I’ll finish writing and then let a day or two pass, maybe even a week, for me to forget details and then I’ll spend an hour reading through it with a fresh set of eyes to catch inconsistencies or grammatical errors.
6. When you write emotional scenes, do you feel what the characters are feeling?
Sometimes? I mean, if you’re asking if I’ve ever made myself cry writing something, then the answer is yes.  Then I usually go wail in a mutual’s messages because if I have to feel all the things, they do too. That’s the rules.
7. To you, what is the most important part of writing a romantic relationship?
Building on mutual trust and respect and then showing little intimate moments, like Character A remembering what Character B’s favorite food from this one place is so they can surprise them when they know they’re having a rough day or Character B leaving little hearts in the steamed up bathroom mirror for Character A to find when they get out of the shower, that sort of thing.
A relationship is not all sunshine and rainbows. Writing them having arguments and disagreements, but then understanding the other’s stance and coming to a compromise or apologizing. Having them work together to solve a problem.
Making their relationship a part of them, but not the end all, be all of their characters. They’re whole characters unto themselves, a relationship just so happens to be a facet of who they are instead of the linchpin of their personalities. Making them “Significant Other of Character A” and not elaborating on who they are when they’re not with Character A makes them flat, IMO.
8. What are three things you’re proudest of when it comes to your writing? Dialogue, descriptions, humour, romantic fluff, kisses, action, pacing, worldbuilding, setting, anything! Even small things like sentence structures and the way your characters banter counts!
Answered here
9. What are three weaknesses in your writing that you’re very aware of, that you’d like to spend time working on to improve your works?
Action scenes, especially fight scenes
Working on taking more time to edit and catching things before posting
Trying to plot longer multi-chapter stories with arcs instead of one-shots
10. If you were to visit your past self now and give them a piece of writing advice, what would that advice be?
Answered here, but what the hell, here’s another one: don’t be afraid to reach out to fic writers or fan artists that you admire. 9 times out of 10, you’re going to find that the people that you’ve been too intimidated to talk to were just as nervous about talking to you too and there’s a possibility of making new friends.
