PSA: DC has her background all over the place all the time, the main things that remain here is that she was part of the Teen Titans, her dating Kon-El and like in one of her backstories, she is the daughter of Zeus and thus, a demi-goddess. ALL RIGHT LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT MY THIRD GENERATION BATKID OCS.

the first on this list, aka the first Batfamily oc i ever created back in 2012, my precious child, and one of only two i have ever actually written (terrible) fic for, is Rachael Cassandra Kent-Drake, aka Rae-el, aka Supergirl.

Rachael is the TimKon lovechild made from magical gay science test tubes. She’s super smart, extremely no-nonsense, at takes a LOT after Tim in personality, but looks more like Kon. She also has all of Kon’s TTK and Kryptonian invulnerabilities, which is why she chose to become Supergirl instead of Robin. She’s the “current” leader of Young Justice whenever I tell myself stories about this group of batkids.

Young Justice leads me to my next bat oc, Cat, who is under the cut because I HAVE A LOT OF BAT OCS OKAY

Cat, aka Catalina Todd is the current Robin and Jason Todd’s adopted daughter. She’s Latina - her birth parents were both from Mexico. Jason adopted her when her parents were killed when she was six (I go back and forth on whether it was just a straight-up Batvillain who killed them, or whether they were victims of human traffickers). Cat is a sarcastic wiseass and inherited her dad’s very whack sense of humor. She’s one of the reasons why Jason actually kinda ended up back in the good graces of the Batfamily - he wanted her to have better influences than just him.

Cat became Robin and is on the roster of Young Justice, along with Batgirl aka Kaylee Cain-Brown (Steph and Cass’s adopted daughter), Kid Flash aka Brianna Iris Allen (Bart’s daughter) and Jackson Sandsmark, (Cassie’s son) who can’t decide what superhero name he actually wants to go with, and of course Supergirl.

Then there’s Amina Wayne. Amina is Damian’s clone, who he adopted as his child when she was very young. Amina is a trans girl but transitioned pretty early. She’s the youngest of the Batcousins (unless she has younger siblings, which she sometimes does depending on how I feel), and she is not part of any of the young hero groups. Like her Baba, she doesn’t really get along well with people, but that’s mostly because she’s super shy and self-conscious and awkward, not because she’s an arrogant brat. But she does fight crime with her father under the identity of Sparrow. Amina also happens to be the only other batkid oc I’ve written fic for, although I haven’t posted that one anywhere.

Then there’s Sam Gordon-Grayson. Sam was a superhero, for a little while, but not anymore. They’re Dick and Babs’ child, and for a little while there they were Robin/Nightwing/Flamebird, but retired from the crimefighting life when they were sixteen to become an elementary school teacher. Although they’re super keyed in to the whole hero community and will occasionally help out on missions that need a lot of manpower, mostly they’re the local Bat-babysitter for when their younger cousins are either grounded or not old enough to go on patrol.

(i also have, like, lots of semi-canonical batkids like Mar’i Grayson and Lian Harper who get adopted into the family because Dick is in a polyamorous relationship with Babs, Roy, Kory *and* Wally and he’s also their dad, and sometimes Amina has a million little siblings because Damian has a hoarding problem and and and and and...)
