I was thinking about what cole might be wearing in the land of lost things before lloyd found him, and i decided on his dragons rising gi (before the merge happened) with extra stuff added on, like patches, the little bandana, and the boots!

So the portal gate from the imperium monastery was taken apart and send to the land of lost things. And the land of lost things is the current home of the elemental master of fusion, who can bind objects together on a presumably molecular level.

I have a feeling, that Geo is going to be the one who eventually manages to get the finders out of the land of lost things, by rebuilding that portal. That or they find some way to disable the whole mechanism behind the land o.l.t., which seems unlikely at the time.

Also sorry but

Cole didn’t have to stay in the Land of Lost Things. He was there as a result of the Merge, accidentally circumventing the rules surrounding the Land of Lost Things. He was not Lost. He was beloved by an entire realm, and had a huge family. If he had actually attempted it, he could’ve easily just walked out.

But he didn’t. Because there was Geo and Bonzle and Fritz and Spitz(?). He CHOSE to stay instead of trying to leave. And yeah maybe he believed Geo when he was told that he couldn’t leave, but does that sound like Cole? To just believe something like that before trying first? No, he actively chose to stay for the Lost Fam, to protect them

For the sake of my own mental health I try not to think too hard about how Cole, the character with specific trauma about all his friends forgetting about him and literally disappearing from their lives, was sent to the land of lost things after the merge, where people and things end up who have been completely forgotten. Like holyshit dude
