ough toshi now knowing how to deal with ur s/i at all and just avoiding her after meeting her again is such a cute and funny scenario <3 how do u think they'd eventually get talking again? would it be ur s/i actually taking the initiative after she recognizes him or would he muster up the courage? or wouldn't it happen until they're forced to work together closely for the first time again? HIIII!! This is a super interesting question that I honestly have done a little more thinking about lately! Because I realized that the process of preparing Toshi for becoming a teacher at UA probably started LONG before the beginning of the series, paperwork, background checks on other staff members and such, making sure they're all trustworthy. All the other teachers know his secret, and my s/i would be no different! I imagine after confirming that they can keep it, he'd probably he formally introduced to them in a sort of meeting to greet them and to make them aware of the whole situation

I can see my s/i being utterly SHOCKED upon learning that that weird guy who kept running away from her earlier was Toshinori. She was there in the aftermath of his injury, but she never imagined things would get so BAD. She's polite of course but she also has a lot of guilt for leaving him all those years ago, and I was talking about it with my friend and in their first one-on-one conversation I imagine on the inside she's like 'oh my god he's just being nice but I'm sure he hates me for leaving, I hope we can still be friends' real sad girl hours, and he's like 'ohhhh my god she's even prettier than I remember, just play it cool Toshinori!!' 😂😂😂

From there, they just try to be friendly again! And my s/i would probably discover then that while her power doesn't make a huge change with his injuries, it does provide temporary relief so that would give them even more time to talk! I imagined a moment where she has him laying on the staff room couch while she lightly rubs her hands on his abdomen around his scarred area and then realizing how close they are, their faces are only inches apart and both of them just blushing like crazy like they're kids again before she just clears her throat and asks him if that feels better 😂💖💖💖

They'd be spending time together outside of work too, maybe meeting for coffee or lunch dates...as FRIENDS you know? They're both falling for each other again but they're hesitant for their own reasons and just insist that it's totally platonic. I imagined too, Midoriya catching us out on a coffee date or a walk or something and blabbing like "HI ALL MI- I mean....hi...there!" and smth similar to the lego batman movie like "I know what it looks like but he's not my son!" "...it's weirder if it's NOT your son. 🤨"

Description: Mike and Ricco go to coffee.

It was a cold, breezy morning the next day. Mike huddled under the overhang of the cafe next to the Hall of Justice as they waited for Joe to show up. They pulled their coat over their cheeks. 

They hadn't told anyone about any of this, not even their roommate, Steven. It was too soon to tell if anything would come of this. 

Joe chuckled at them as he walked up. “Why didn't you wait for me inside? You're going to turn into a popsicle, come on.” 

“Do you want me to pay or are you one of those women's liberation types?” he asked as they approached the counter. 

“Why not both?” Mike asked. “I like my equality but I like to be romanced a little.” 

“What'll you have?” 

“A mocha latte. Thank you.” 

“A caffé americano for me, and a mocha latte for the lady, thank you.” 

Mike fidgeted with their hair. “Uh, about that. If we're going to continue with this, there's something you have to know.” 

Joe looked at them confusedly. 

“Uh, how do I put this? I'm not a lady.” 

“You're a transsexual?” he asked, eyes widening. 

“Of- of a kind, yes.” 

“Do you- Have you- what's downstairs?” 

Mike laughed. “Oh, oh no. No. Um. I don't have a dick, if that's what you're asking.” 

“Okay. I'm lost.” 

“I don't use she or her or feminine words. I like to be called neutral phrases.” 

Joe nodded slowly. 

“Will that be a problem?” 

“No, no problem. It'll just take some getting used to.” 

“Good. That's good.” 

“Thanks for telling me,” he said. 

“Yeah. Coffee's ready.” 

Joe picked the coffee up off the counter and handed Mike's coffee to them. They took a seat at a booth nearby. 

“So, you're Italian. Do you speak any?” 

He nodded. “I do. We spoke it at home growing up. My Uncle Enzo doesn't speak much English.” 

“That must be nice. I speak a little German. I took it in school.” 

“So, why is a nice girl- young person, like you single?” 

Mike shrugged. “I haven't dated much since my last relationship fell apart. I haven't wanted to.” 

“You remind me of my secretary. Smart, nice, pretty. A real catch. I've been trying to get her a boyfriend.” 

Mike chuckled. “How's that going?” 

“She didn't like any of my suggestions.” 

“Were you one of them?” 

“Oh, no. No. I'm her boss. Besides, she called me an old dad.” 

“There's nothing wrong with being an old dad.” 

“Wouldn't you rather be having coffee with someone your age?” Joe asked them. 

Mike shrugged. “You interest me.” 

“How?” 

“I don't know yet.” 

Joe checked his watch. “I should be getting to work.” 

“I probably should too. I'll call you. What's your telephone number?” 

Joe gave them his number and left the cafe. Mike headed out afterwards.
