working on my werewolf oc story! i think i'm gonna call it The Wolf of RIverclan. here's the main dude, Lambstar!

he's a laidback guy, who's a bit too trusting that everything in his life will work out. he hasn't experienced many hardships, and he's a pretty young leader. he's helpful, and wants to make life better for other cats, which is how he got the deputy position in the first place. the only thing that causes him any real stress, is his secret relationship with the clan's medicine cat (who's name is still a wip)

one of the things i'm still trying to figure out, whether or not to keep the the full moon transformation, or change it to a different moon (probably claw moon). i want Lambstar to get a few moons of transformations before he's caught, but, especially with him being leader, it'd be found out super fast at the gathering.

anyway, he's either attacked while on his way back from the gathering, or while sitting watch one night. he's mortally wounded, and looses a life. that's where he gets his scars.

after that night, he's started noticing something is definitely wrong with him...

i would say size wise, Lambstar's werewolf form is somewhere between fox and coyote. he's definitely not full wolf size. his claws are still retractable in that form, and he keeps a very cat like tail. he's also a lot more agile than a fox or coyote would be.

i love horror, specifically creature features, so i really wanna lean into that here. The Wolf of Riverclan felt like a typical werewolf movie name, and works as a reference to the werewolf of london. Lambstar's name is both a wolf in sheep's clothing reference, and a reference to the slaughtered lamb from american werewolf in london.

Finished the concept art page for my new AU: Cult of WindClan.

In this AU, LambStar (Lamb), originates from WindClan. In an attempt to stop the prophecy of LambStar bringing down the Gods, FamineStar (Heket) has the entirety of WindClan slaughtered, and casts her own brother into the Dark Forest. However, this only set things into motion, allowing LambPaw to meet DeathStar (Narinder), who gave them the power of revival and turned them into LambStar. This was only meant to be temporary, but we all know where the story goes. After defeating all the Gods, LambStar begins working to revive them all into mortal forms, and is essentially hoarding them in WindClan. Their plans for the former Gods are unknown, but LambStar has no ill intent. With each revival, LambStar gives the former Gods the option to hide their true identities by assigning them new names, which is why they have alternate names that don't include "Star"

Still figuring out how StarClan will fit into all of this, who the spider one is (I don't know anything about them yet lol), or what role Heket will play as a God, but those are future problems for future me, when I'm bored at work tomorrow or some other day. Might post a fic for this AU someday, but the only things I really have planned are two animatics that just go over what's written in this post, and I like to know the ending I'm aiming for so I at least hit the right wall when throwing the dart, even if I miss the board itself. Will update if (or when) I come up with an idea I like.

Follower form Leshy

Got around to designing a follower form for Leshy/aka Brushstar (now Brushthorn since the bishops lose their leader positions and names when they join Lambstar’s clan) today, since the golden markings on the pelts of the bishops are basically a parallel to their bishop robes in the actual game, I figured they’d lose those special markings (like how they lose their robes in favor of the cult garb) when they become followers/members of the clan 🌟

when in his werewolf form, Lambstar can still make cat noises. he still hisses, meows, and purrs. but the only time he ever really purrs in that form, is when he eats.

Frozenscar, mother of Lambstar

After hours of rendering the princess eyes hit me with a chair. Who am I

Just before she finished her apprenticeship and became a full medicine cat the clan leader, Lionstar took an interest in her. She tried to foster a good relationship with him as his future medicine cat. Instead, he decided she would not be allowed to become medicine cat and would become one of his mates instead. Her mentor Clovetuft took her and fled to the moonpeak to make her a full medicine cat in the eyes of Starclan, and protecting her from Lionstar. But as they made their way a terrible storm came on, and when they reached the peak, the stone was dark without an ounce of moonlight. Lionstar and two of his most loyal warriors caught up the them. Clovetuft tried to take Frozenpaw and run but was caught and Lionstar manipulated Frozenpaw into choosing to take a warrior name and become his mate to protect her mentor. Then he tore out Clovetuft’s right eye to punish their disobedience and named her Frozenscar, so that she would never forget what would happen to those she cares about if she went against him.

Moons later she gave birth to Lambkit and saw a prophecy surrounding her precious kit and fortelling a future without Lionstar.

While Lambkit was still young She tried to separate herself from her kit as many cats in the clan, saw her as disgraceful for becoming pregnant and leaving her apprenticeship as a medicine cat. She wanted her kit to have the best chance at being loved by the clan but lambkit snubbed them as she got older. Lionstar led to her untimely demise, sending her on a mission to infiltrate Bellflowerclan and steal herbs to treat the illness spreading in camp. Frozenscar who never received proper warrior training was badly injured and in her weakened state she contracted the illness too. To save her mother Lambflower disobeyed Lionstar and raided Bromeclan. She stole plenty of the life-saving herb, but to punish her for going against his wishes Lionstar refused to allow Frozenscar to be treated with the herb until every other cat was better. Her mother got sicker and sicker and eventually Lambflower disobeyed lionstar again To treat her illness. But Frozenscar was too weak and too far gone, and even after taking the herbs her body gave out. Upon her poor mother’s death Lambflower swore revenge against Lionstar for all her mother’s suffering. Leading to the prophecy being realized when Lambflower murdered Lionstar and became Lambstar.
